Speaker 1 (00:00):
Why did Chris Watts take off work on Friday August
tenth because Chanan left first thing in the morning. Did
he want to take off work? Being away from work
meant being away from Nicole Kessinger. He'd been away for
a week, then back at work for a day. On Friday,
(00:22):
he was away from her again and back to babysitting.
This was his sample of what custody.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Might be like.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Basically, being with his kids meant he couldn't be with her.
But putting up his hand to look after Bella and
CC was contingent on Schannan going ahead with her business trip.
And if there was gonna be a chance of seeing
Kessinger that weekend, he'd at least have a chance if
(00:53):
he only had the kids on his hands. If Shanan
was around, there would be no chance of that. So
he played nice, reassured her, and then off she went.
Watts must have felt like he was getting really good
at spinning plates. He was on a roll. The tone
(01:15):
of Shenan's all is well text to him that morning
exemplifies this. Good morning, honey, sorry to make you wake
up early twice today. I didn't want alarm going off.
Your letter is on the counter, have a great time
with the kiddos. They truly missed you. Love you, baby,
(01:35):
send me picks. Why did Shenan tell him now that
his children missed him when he was away. It's because
he expressed to her that when they saw their father,
they didn't act like they missed him. They didn't act
like they needed him either. And we also saw in
(01:57):
the Myrtle Beach video Watts repeatedly holding his hand out
to guide Bella into the sea because it was her
first time, and then Bella refusing his help. And ordinarily
this might not have bothered him, but he'd been away
from his children for five weeks and this was a
big moment, made worse by the fact that Schinnan was
(02:18):
filming it. So twenty three minutes later, Shenan's all is
well facade had already started to slip. Quote I don't
know why I feel weak standing unquote. It's not unreasonable
to speculate that Watts had tried to poison Schinnan, and
(02:41):
this wasn't his first attempt in doing so, but his second.
The basement was chalk full of medicines, and she was
always taking pills and powders while sleeping in the basement.
These potions were staring at him, gleaming at him through
(03:03):
their transparent containers. It would be the easiest thing in
the world to add a lethal dose of oxy to
one of Shenan's shakes. In the dark, the lights of
the rounter were ticking and blinking at him, tempting him.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Do it.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Do it.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
At seven point fifty one, Jeremy Linstrom congratulates Watson the
baby boy. This sets the tone for the whole day
and the weekend. Despite agreeing not to tell anyone, it's
clear Shanan has broken her word to him. Watts nose.
He has to absolutely make sure the news does not
reach Kessinger. He has to serve formulating a plan. He
(03:42):
hass sharemy When the birthday party starts on Sunday one pm,
Shanan will be arriving back ten hours later the same evening.
When's he going to be able to see Kessinger?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
My godness, my iod boss, food on my mind, feels
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
August tenth, Watch took the day off from work and
Shenan left for Arizona. Six twenty hours missing from Wat's
his phone, but found in NaN's. She told what's good morning, honey.
Sorry to make you wake up early twice today. I
didn't want the alarm going off. We are checked in
and everything. It's already a madhouse here today. Enjoy the girls.
(04:38):
Don't forget king soupers. Ten to eleven. I told Bella
I was leaving for work with NICKI and assured her
that I was always coming home. So it seems that
Bella is feeling a kind of a trauma. Bella is
feeling afraid to be away from her mother, and that
is quite an amazing intuition from that little girl. Certainly,
at that point, I think she was really feeling the
(05:01):
anxiety that was in the air, and that was real.
That was that emotional reality was based on something real,
something dangerous. They usually don't eat right away lately. Give
them lots of kisses for me. Thank you for everything
last night. I miss and love you so much. I'm
still in shock. We are having a little boy. I'm
(05:22):
so excited and happy. I really thought it was another girl.
Thank you for letting me hold you this morning. It
felt good. Your letters on the counter. Have a great
time with the kiddos. They truly missed you. Love you baby,
Send me picks. Then just twenty three minutes later, Sanane
told what, I don't know why I feel really weak standing.
(05:43):
I'm drinking a gatorade and had a biscuit getting ready
to take off. What time did the kids wake up?
What speculated that her weakness was from a lack of sleep.
What's told her that Bella just woke up and Celeste
was still asleep. I dealt with that love letter in
a separate episode. I'll put a link to that at
the end of this video, but I'll also put a
(06:04):
link to that the analysis of that letter in the description.
It's also interesting that Watts poisoned Shinnan and then he
provides her with this idea that she simply didn't get
a lot of sleep, and that although that is likely true,
he knows a lot better exactly why she's feeling the
way he did, because he admitted that he poisoned her,
(06:27):
and this is really the second instance of him trying
to bring about an abortion. Then seven hundred hours Chanan
received a calendar alert regarding her flight flight w N
nine seven two from Denver to Phoenix O seven fifty one.
Jeremy Lynz from apparently knowing the wattses, we're having a
boy congratulated. What's little man is a lucky boy? Wat's thanks,
(06:50):
Jeremy and asked what time the birthday party was on Sunday.
Jeremy said one pm at eight three not found in
what's his phone? And what's exchanged happy anniversary messages? Just
think about this. This is really two days before the
murders and they are literally wishing each other happy anniversary?
(07:12):
How real? How genuine? Do you think that exchange actually is?
Eight forty four? She antld what she just landed in Arizona?
Nine to twenty four? What's asked Jeremy, do you think
McKenna is available to watch the girls for a few
hours tomorrow night? I won a raffle at work for
a Rockies game. It's with people I don't know from work,
(07:34):
But I haven't been to a game in a while
where the kids aren't involved and only last an inningsl Now,
if you think about what's going on there, Chris Watts
is obviously trying to manufacture situation where you can see Kessinger.
It is using things out of reality, is using the
fact that there is a Rockies game and he is
(07:55):
actually going with someone from work, except he's not going
to go to the Rockies game. He knows he's going
to be away for about the length of time of
the Rockies game. And also if anyone sees him, he
can say, yeah, well, Nicole Kessinger is someone from work.
And what this shows, I think is a little bit
of skill from what's in covering his tracks, in behaving dishonestly,
(08:18):
and this is yet another way that I think he
got a little bit of confidence that he could pull
the wool over the police's eyes because he'd done it
literally with Shanan, with her parents, with his parents, with Kessinger,
with his friends, with everybody. Jeremy replied, of course and
asked which house? What replied, I would say my house
because the girls would fall asleep easier, and all it
(08:42):
and all it would be would be watching the monitor.
When asked what time, what said five point thirty PM.
Game starts at six fifteen, so he's obviously done his research.
At eleven fifty seven hours. Shehnansen, what's a web address
for a realtor home? Snap dot com slash and meadows
three minutes Wat's visited the website. I think he also
(09:03):
called her moments after burying his family. Thirteen thirty four,
Watts asked McCoy what time he wanted to meet for
that firestick. By fifteen oh five hours, Watch told McCoy
he had arrived at their meeting location. Thirteen forty two,
Shenan received confirmation from Amazon that the book she ordered
was delivered. Minutes later, she suggested Watts check the mail.
(09:28):
For her part, Shenan was upbeaten optimistic this day for
the first time in weeks. This is evidenced in her
conversations with others via messages in the weeks preceding. Sanan
was heartbroken, confused, and emotionally distraught. At present, however, Shenan
felt they had turned a corner. That's why I called
the previous video U turn. That Watts was finally communicating
(09:51):
with her and was willing to work towards fixing whatever
was wrong. Shenan shared this news with many and her
friend sent happy and supportive responses. As for what's the
books and the Amazon shipping box had arrived in was
found in the garage trash can during the search of
the home, and I think this raises a very interesting question,
(10:11):
which is what gets this book from Sannan? About preparing
their relationship and he just immediately throws it into the trash.
Let me ask you this question. Do you think at
this point, What's it already made up his mind to
murder Sanan. Then at thirteen fifty hours, Ronnie asked, what
if What's had deleted his Facebook accountant? What replied, yes, Sir,
(10:34):
liberated myself. Think about those words. I mean a lot
is being communicated in those words. Fourteen thirty three, Ronnie asked,
what's if she's gone? Do you think that we could
FaceTime with the girls tonight or do you think that's
a good idea. I don't want to get anything started.
What replied that he feared Bela would tell Sheannan. Ronnie responded,
(10:57):
that's what I'm afraid of. If she finds out, you
probably have a fit. These are the words of Wat's
his father, right. If she finds out, she would probably
have a fit. Now, I've seen people in the comments saying,
why didn't you just tell her who's having an affair?
Why didn't you just get a divorce? Well, if someone's
going to have a fit over kids and nuts, can
(11:18):
you can imagine what would happen in an area that
is this serious, and so he says, I don't want
to make things worse what's agreed, and you can imagine
that's literally how Wat's felt. I don't want to make
things worse than they already are for myself, right. And
I think it's important to be clear here that this
isn't about taking sides. You know, it's not to say
(11:41):
Chris Watts is right God forbid, or to say anybody
else's rights, simply saying this is the dynamic. This is
the reality of the dynamic between them, that the one
spouse is afraid of how the other spouse is going
to react, and so they're not going to do certain
things and they're going to keep certain things a secret
because of how a spouse reacts to certain things. And
(12:05):
so it's just a simple question is that a good
situation to be in? I do think, if we being realistic,
there's actually another reason, a sly reason, that Watts is
doing what he's doing. What's the real reason he doesn't
want there to be a FaceTime with the girls, Well,
because it will be with a babysitter and it'll come
(12:25):
out that Watts is worth his mistress, and I don't
think he wants to be too honest even with his
own family about that aspect, especially given what's about to
take place. The other aspect that I think's worth highlighting
here is Bella is feeling very needy, and Bella probably
would tell her mother that what everything that was going on,
that there's a babysitter, because she Nan would be like
(12:47):
a good protective mother, Like a mother, hen would be
calling her kids often and asking how they were, and
this would definitely spoil the whole scenario that Wats is
trying to create for himself, which is to have space
to see his mistress, and this would lead to Sannan
getting paranoid, justifiably, but also her calling him and arguing
(13:12):
with him and confronting him. That's exactly what he's trying
to prevent. That's exactly why he manufactured the situation that
she goes to Arizona in the first place. So that's
part of the whole mechanism behind not wanting Bella to
speak to her father so that Watts can have his way.
You can see how things are escalating, how in a
(13:32):
great and greatest sense, is putting the needs of his
own family, including his own father, secondary to his own
basically primal needs. At A eight, Sheannan asked Matt Johnson
if he was still planning to stop by her home
and repair the air conditioning. Johnson said that he hopes
to and will coordinate with Watts. Now that kind of
feels like Sannan is trying to kind of monitor what's
(13:56):
going on anyway, to have the air conditioning repair man
head to the house and basically get an independent view
of what's going on there. Nineteen oh eight What searched
the Internet for shows that the comedy works? Twenty oh
seven hours what search Google for Blue Agarve Gril both
in Denver and Northern Colorado. And we know ultimately they
(14:18):
didn't go there. They went to the Lazy Dog, which
is pretty close to their home, and I think the
idea for that was to save time. Twenty one to
twenty hours. Shanan called Watsonhall day, ten minute conversation. Possibly
part of that conversation was talking to her children. Twenty
one thirty four hours, Shannan searched the internet via group
(14:39):
on for deals on hotels in Aspen. She sent What's
the Lincoln? Minutes later, What's visited the same websites twenty
one fifty three, Sanan asked, what's if you're up to it?
Can you put Bella's seat back in the Lexus? She's
been begging for it, And I think that is confirmation
that Sanan has spoken to Bella.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Now.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
I think the real reason that Watts can't really or
doesn't really want Bella to talk to his father's also
that he probably wanted to speak to Kessinger at length
that night over the phone. Twenty to fifty seven hours,
Wat's transferred the video of Cassinger thanking him for their
trip to the Great Sand Dunes into his secret calculator application.
(15:20):
So this is literally what he's looking at three days
before the murders. It's one of it's like a memory
that he rarely cherishes with her, a really special moment,
one of the best moments perhaps of his life, that
he has had with her. Twenty three ten, Wat's his
phone connected with the homes wireless network. I think the
(15:41):
reason for that is because he's sleeping in the basement.
Just to reiterate, it's telling that on this day, a
week after their trip to the sand Dunes, Wats was
still replaying the video Cassinger had made thanking him for
their trip. It was this video at the end of
the evening when the kids were in bed, that convinced
him a fairy tale with his forever girl wasn't just possible.
(16:04):
It was happening, but it was up to him to
make sure nothing and no one got in the way. Well,
I'm not going to take it further than that. If
you do want to find out more about that love
letter that Chanan wrote to him, wait until the end
credits of this video and you can click on that
link that's there. Otherwise, you can find a link in
the description. Thank you for listening. I hope you enjoy
(16:26):
your weekend and I'll see you guys next time.
