In this captivating episode of Try That in a Small Town, the guys settle into their new studio space powered by e-Spaces to deliver raw, unfiltered conversations that swing between hilarious and profound.

The conversation kicks off with a spirited debate about entitlement in the WNBA, questioning players wearing "Pay Us What You Owe Us" shirts despite the league never turning a profit in 30 years. This launches them into examining how social media amplifies controversies and shapes public perception, with reflections on the recent viral "Coldplay couple" scandal. Their authentic take on these cultural moments reveals their willingness to question popular narratives while maintaining respect for multiple perspectives.

Between sips of Kentucky Coffee (courtesy of producer Jim, who unexpectedly joins the conversation with his own microphone), the guys share fascinating glimpses into tour life – the post-show adrenaline that keeps them awake until 3 AM, their adventures at the Oasis reunion concert in Cardiff, and the surprising number of podcast fans they encounter on the road. These stories peel back the curtain on the music industry through the lens of friendship rather than celebrity.

The episode takes several unexpected turns, from Neil's jaw-dropping medical story about sneezing out a piece of surgical packing from a 35-year-old nose surgery, to thoughtful reflections on faith and common ground in our divided culture. It's these unplanned moments that showcase the genuine camaraderie that makes listeners feel like they're sitting around the table with old friends.

There's some players that went out to a club.
There's like four or fiveplayers walking into a club and
they couldn't get in.
The WNBA players, yeah, someplayers I don't know who they
were off the top of my head, butthey're trying to get in and
they're super offended that noone knows who they are and they
wouldn't let them in the club.
Like we're the WNBA, like what?
Like it's Pippen and Jordanwalking into somewhere.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
It's fine.
I mean, it's not that I don'tmind them having the league,
it's just that's stupid.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
That's stupid to say that they don't think that it's
stupid.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Do you think the backlash has been too much?

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yes, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
I mean, you know, what do you expect?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
If that would have been me, I would expect to.
Yeah, you can't keep your joband stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
The HR girl.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I mean, I wouldn't imagine she would ever get a job
in human resources again.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
But you know what?
She hasn't stepped down or beenfired yet and she's the head of
HR.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
It's complicated because she's a woman.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
It is complicated.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Or it shouldn't be complicated, but that's more
difficult.
And who knows, he was holdingher, maybe she was captive.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
You want Hunter Biden out there speaking on your
behalf?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
It was pretty entertaining.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
It was.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
At the end of the day , it's all entertainment.
That's all we are.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
We're just entertaining, we're not news
people.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
No, you're not.
Nobody gives two shits aboutwhat you have to say about
anything.
Language.
The Try that in a Small Townpodcast begins now.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
What are you talking about by the?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
way down the floor.
Well, I don't want to give hima free plug.
You know, I mean I've beentrying to get.
Well, give him a free plug.
What is it when?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
we get going, bring us on.
Yeah, no, we're on, oh, we'renot.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
We didn't have to announce welcome.
Hello, this is a small townpodcast.
Wow, from the patriot mobilestudios powered by e-spaces.
We're in our new studio.
Oh my gosh, it's good yeah Ilove this thing hey, later we're
gonna have to like go aroundbecause we asked everybody to
say, hey, what's your favoritething?
And and they were like, well, Ican't see, so maybe we'll have
to pan around later.

(02:46):
Tk K-Lo Thrash looking veryrelaxed.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
This is my new position.
I like it.

Speaker 7 (02:56):
That's what she said.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yep, sorry.

Speaker 7 (02:59):
Oh, hey, I like the way you're kind of putting out
your golfer's tan there.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I know I'm actually trying to keep my feet.
I like the way you're kind ofputting out your golfer's tan
there, it's nice.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
I'm actually trying to keep my feet, are those?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
white socks, or is that just?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
below your ankles.
That's a legit golfer's tan.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
That's somebody that practices a lot, hey, but we did
come on with you, tom.
What is that thing?
Give them a free plug, becausewhat is?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
it.
Yeah, this is their only freeplug.
It's called Feel Free.
It has a cover root and kratomleaf.
I think it's just all naturalstuff.
It just gives you a little bitof a lift.
Are you sure it's?

Speaker 3 (03:32):
all natural, I got it on Facebook so it seems it's
got to be good they have these.
They have Shot of Joy which isa competitor also.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
But whether Shot of Joy or Feel Free will send us
some of these, we will advertiselike crazy for these guys
Because they're expensive,aren't they?
Yeah, they're like $9, $10 apiece.
I mean Tully's into me for like$60, but now he's off of them.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
No, no, I'm not off of them, I need a break.
So you have been so generous togive me one of these per
episode, and it's like $10 abottle.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Thanks, he's probably got 50 cases at home.
That's what he does.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
I will say that it is amazing, but I made a crucial
error and did two last time andI didn't sleep for 48 hours.
I mean, I felt like I could runa marathon.
Hold on $10.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Do you buy in bulk?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
and it's still $10?
.
Yeah, you don't get a break,and I also know that they're
good and healthy for you becauseI get them at the counter at
circle K and um and there's 12in there but you don't get a.
You don't get a discount oranything you can get on a
subscription.
I think you'd save maybe adollar or so a bottle.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
I just hadn't done that yet I did post about it a
few months ago and got noresponse.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
All right, Well, maybe we should stop talking
about them.
Then, if they're not giving usanything, well, this is it, but
maybe this is a swing for thefence.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Okay, feel free.
Our producer, jim, shouldactually head this up, but we'll
do it, feel free.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
By the way, I think it's bad times in here because
Jim now has a mic who says it'sbad times, wait a minute.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I don't remember okaying that who?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
says it's bad, that was it's bad.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Wait a minute mister, I paid for that microphone.
Who says it.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Hey, you're gonna be.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
You're gonna be a nice little addition, jim I'll
try and do my best I just sawhim turn his mic up a little bit
more than ours over there.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah good lord, oh my gosh.
We got a lot of stuff to talkabout and I kind of wish we were
recording as we came in there's.
There's a lot of fire in thisroom tonight I won't say who.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, neil, what are you looking at me?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
for no, you're relaxed.
No, no, I'm just.
I'm tired of'm just tired ofpee on the floor in the men's
bathroom.
I'm sick of it, pee.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Like at your home, at the urinal, at the urinal At
your house.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
It's like why can't you keep the pee in the urinal,
or they need to redesign thembecause it splashes out and it's
on the floor and I'm straddlingso I can pee.
You have a urinal, you know, the one for the little short
boys and one for the tall boys.
Yeah, and there's pee all overthe floor.

(06:11):
I'm like, what are you guysdoing?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
that's because they're on their phones.
They're not.
They're not really on the phonethey're either they're.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Either they're either not well endowed or they're on
their phone.
Oh my gosh, one of the two andyou have to and I can't.
You got australia.
It's just ridiculous.
I'm tired of it.
I'm sick of it I think, fromthat's just, I just was on my
mind I get it, yeah, and that'swhy I got my feet up, okay
nobody.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
High five, that shoe, okay, nobody.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Uh, I think from living on on a bus for oh years.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
I think I've become immune to the occasional pee
drop on the floor the one blackhand towel that's been there
since the whole tour.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Hold on.
You've been on our bus, I'vebeen on buses.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
You don't want to touch that black hand towel.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
So how's the?

Speaker 4 (06:57):
tour going.
I mean, y'all just started.
How's it going so far?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
We're kicking in.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
I mean y'all kind of drug ass in here a little bit
when y'all walk in we just gothome.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
We're leaving again tomorrow.
Uh, I'm not uh crying becauseit's as we said here before.
I think we both, we all kind oflike it when it gets going.
You want to play a show, show, show, show, maybe a couple days
off, show, show, show, get it,show, get it going.
It starts to feel good, you'renot thinking as much, you get to
have a little more fun.

Speaker 7 (07:27):
I'm in we work what?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
eight months a year, it's fine.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
It's a good problem to have.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
It's great.
The set list is great, crowdsare great.
Getting back into the roadschedule of you know, play the
show done 11 30, come hang out,get to sleep about 3 30 in the
morning y'all still have pizzaevery time.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Do you have show food after, like on the bus?
Do you have pizza or do you?

Speaker 3 (07:52):
there's always some, yeah there's always some show to
show food that you generallythis point we try not to eat
because it just messes with yougoing you know that I'd be a
whale.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
I would have figured at this point you guys would be
like really disciplined we'redisciplined every day, except
for the last night.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Every night you made a show food on there, like
totally was going to say nobodytouches it and I.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
I get the adrenaline, I get the adrenaline.
It's hard to go.
You can't go right to sleep.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I get that oh gosh, he's talking about after the
show.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yeah, I think, oh, I see what you're saying yeah,
yeah, it's.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Uh, you know we still love being out there so much
and you know we end up talkingabout music and songs.
And next thing, you know, Imean seriously you get off at
1130 and you go, change clothesand you hang out.
Before you know it it literallyis like two, you know, and so
it's fun to hang out and then, but you know, the next day you

(08:43):
don't want to.
I think in the old days wewould sleep till noon or one,
but now we're like we can'tsleep because we're old, so we
can't sleep.
So we're up kind of early, drink coffee and it's.
But the whole thing is so fun,it's, it's yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
I think, I think we new opener, the set the stage.
It's really, really cool.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
You know, it's one of those things.
It's funny because we go toYouTube like everybody else does
, because we don't know what itlooks like you know you're up
there.
It's not like you're able totake it in.
So when I see that stuff onYouTube, I'm like whoa, that's
pretty dope.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
You think me and my bunch will be able to come to
the Nashville show this year?

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Yeah, I'm sure we'll figure that out.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
You think we can figure it out?
Yes, can you sneak me in?
That's when you like to get thecomps is in Nashville right.
Yeah, that's always a goodplace to be.
No, it's a tough show to get inthere.
Everybody and their brothersare going to be there.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
You know our triple play family, our writers.
I don't know about you, kayla.
Yeah, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
But Neil you can bring whoever you want, yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Neil plus 10.
Kayla, we'll see what we can doabout getting you some sort of
working pass.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
I got to milk the baby at 730.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
I just want to go to a show and just you know, just
kind of mingle around out fronta little bit and see if anybody
recognizes me oh yeah, from theshow ntr from our podcast oh,
they're gonna reckon.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Believe me, I'm still waiting somebody out here.
I should have brought them guyslast week.
Oh, I got somebody that broughtshirts, oh yeah are you serious
?

Speaker 4 (10:20):
they look good.
No, I saw that it looked good,it was pretty good, you need to
bring them, so we can wear them.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I can't remember his name.
He was actually on the road.
A lot of people we're seeingare big fans of the podcast and
actually will follow it andlisten to every episode.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
That's what me and Kello wanted to know.
We want you all to keep usposted on how many folks you all
run into on the road that saysomething about the podcast.
It's a lot.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
It's every night usually.
We've got to do a better job.
Tully and I were talking aboutit.
I'm sure our listeners wouldlike this of just filming stuff
out there, getting content foreverybody.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
I remind you I know I shoot texts to you guys.
You have Get content Walk outon stage.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Might need to bring Allie out with us and just do
that.
Are you free Allie?
No, Do y'all have a special?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
time during the day, or is it after the show?
Is that where all the potsmoking happens?
Like what time of day?
And is that every day?

Speaker 3 (11:18):
You know what's funny , I really wanted to be.
I wanted to be like a good potsmoker.
You know like I like a goodstoner.
I it'd be good for me, for myocd settle me down call me right
out.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, it doesn't really it like.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
It makes me feel weird.
I can't breathe, I start towheeze, I fall asleep, I go to
paranoid, wake up with aheadache, yep, so I'm like I've
never been good at it.
I mean, a lot of my friends aregood at it.
I didn't know it was a talent.
I feel like I don't knowbecause I couldn't do it either.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
I mean, I did when I was younger.
Yeah, it's been 35 years.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
It just helps me sleep.
I couldn't handle it.
I thought I was dying.
Seriously, though, it helps mefall asleep.
The worst was, though, yearsago, we were in Portland and
this had to be man.
This may be 2009, maybe, andwe're in Portland and they're
just handing stuff out.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
What no go ahead Sorry.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Are you worried?
It's making you uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
No, no, no, no.
My next question.
You're whispering.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
You're whispering we're going to find out.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
If Caleb's inhaled, go ahead, no, anyway, so I took
it and it's like, okay, let's dothis little piece of chocolate.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
And I said, oh, this would be great.
I took that thing and nextthing, you know, the whole place
starts spinning and I made itback to my bunk and I woke up.
I don't know how soon after, but my heart was racing.
I ripped my curtain open, wentto Ron, our bus driver, and I
said get me to a hospital.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
My heart's exploding.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
I don't know what I took, and it took me, you know.
So that's the last and onlytime I ever did like any kind of
like chocolate stuff.
But you know, it's very I can'tfigure it out.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
I'm not good at it?
Well, that's good.
Well, stop trying.
Don't do it then.

Speaker 7 (12:59):
Well, it's just not for you, that's all right, but I
do like that.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
it helps me sleep, because I have a hard time
sleeping, but the trade-off'snot good enough.

Speaker 7 (13:07):
No Kalo have you ever smoked pot?
Well, maybe a couple times, when I was in high school.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
I think I only tried it twice, but the first time I
think it was dry tea.
Like somebody gave it to youbut like hey, we're going to be
cool it to you.
But like hey, we're gonna becool, we're gonna smoke pot but
it was like lipped in tea y'alldried out and it smelled kind of
similar you know, but but?
and we're like, oh yeah, I'mstarting to feel it, starting to
feel it it was, but then thisone time this guy his name is
randall, I mean this guy's nameis randall and he said.

(13:36):
He said, man, you want to trythis, he goes.
It was called a mohesion mindvendor or something like that,
and we were smoking it out of aomni gel bottle.
If you remember, omni gel it'ssome sort of some sort of tooth
product, whatever anyway, likesuper glad.
No, no, it's just, uh, it's likea toothpaste thing but like a
gel or whatever.
Anyway, uh, but that that gotus laughing pretty good, but and

(13:57):
that was the last time.
But as as an adult, though, theonly time I've ever done
anything is the the little, little gummy things yeah and uh,
it didn't go great.
The first, the first night, Ihad my buddies uh, it's the
madden boys from north carolina, you know.
You know, jeff, and will madden.
Anyway, they came up and theyhad some gummies and said said
you want to try these calos?
And I said, but don't just geta half, you know, because it'll

(14:17):
loop you.
And I said, all right, got half.
And so I didn't feel anything.
And so the next night I said, let's just take a whole one,
let's see what we would feel, you know.
And I took it and I mean it tome.
Like 30 minutes later I'm justsitting there and I'm kind of
seeing things, you know, and I'mlike, okay, I don't like it's
made me real paranoid, I didn'tlike it.
And the next morning we had agolf tournament.
I felt heavy the whole time.
I felt like I weighed 400pounds, how'd you play?

Speaker 7 (14:39):
not great it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
It's not legal here, right?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
I don't think so.
You'd think so.
I don't think you'd get in alot of trouble.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
It's not but you can get the drinks.
There's delta drinks.
You can get it off Facebook, but it's got the THC and you can
get up to 20 milligrams.
We'll push it so the last timethey gave it a real college.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Try, I can talk about Drop D.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I would think he'd be fun with it.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Kurt's Guitar Tech is a professional, Like he's
professional.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
And just to make sure we give all the information, he
has a chronically bad back, that he was on pain meds forever
.
For that he had to stay on.
He's like screw that, I'mditching that I'm just going
with natural medicine.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
So I go, I go to the crew bus, which when I go to the
crew bus, nothing good happensup there.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
So I went back there and they've got a whole lab
system set up like it's like,it's like yeah, no, it's a
chemistry side, it's the wholething.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Yeah, and it I can't even tell you what's going on.
Anyway, I dropped d goes.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Hey, try some of this so I, are you allowed to say
all this on our?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I think.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
So we're gonna find, we're gonna find out I'll be
dough I mean, it's just, germanshepherds at your next show I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
I mean, I think we're gonna say this we'll find out.
I don't know, jim, better dosome research.
But anyway, so I tried it.
He goes, it'll help you sleep.
I'm like okay, so I did it.
Next thing I know my legs arenot working.
My legs are numb and Jack, ourguitar player, had to literally

(16:21):
help me from that bus to our bus, lift me up and put me in my
bunk and I I swear like I waslevitating.
It was really weird.
So that's the last time I wentto the crew bus as well.
Don't do good on it, man.
I'd like to.
That's why I want to stick with, feel free there you go 20
minute ad for feel free, therewe go anyway.

(16:42):
I think we can say that, oh wellyeah what's the big deal?
It's weed.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Well, is it a big deal?
I mean, you're right, I don'tthink so.
Maybe people don't want ustelling their story, talking
about spoons and heroin.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
We have no idea, because we're not you know, we
don't really smoke it or no,that we we don't god.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
I didn't agree with we're not professionals.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
No, there's a lot of fun stuff to talk about.
I wish gosh.
I'll just say this as a tease.
We got some big stuff coming upvery we got a couple big
announcements, a coupleendeavors like what.
What are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
I don't know what you're talking about.

Speaker 7 (17:16):
Yeah you do, is it?

Speaker 4 (17:17):
the three of y'all against me.
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (17:19):
well, by the time this comes out, we might I don't
know, I don't know when this iscoming out.
Oh, I know what y'all aretalking about.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Yeah, I say we just leave it as is, but we're in a
new studio.
We might be, you know, movingthis podcast up to bigger and
better things.
So we're excited, we're excited.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Is it possible we're going to be getting paid at some
point?

Speaker 4 (17:38):
No, no, definitely not.
You don't need Wade's got allthat money.
We're pretty sure that we dothis because it's fun.
We do this because it's fun.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Just like writing we love our listeners we write
because it's fun.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Yeah, wade, speaking of money, I don't know why I
always go to the WNBA.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Oh, this is great.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Did you see my?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
pose or my thing I sent you, oh, I didn't Go ahead,
I'll cut you off.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
I don't know.
I mean, if anybody has seen.
Well, there was an All-Stargame, which is a whole other
joke, but at the All-Star game, all of the girls wore shirts
that said pay us what you owe us.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Oh, I saw this.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Oh, All of them, oh God, All of them wore shirts
that said pay us what you owe us.
Yeah, Now just I'll set it upthe wnba, by the way has been in
business 30 years.
I had no idea 30 years.
In none of those years has thewnba turned a profit.

(18:38):
Well, just like our podcastit's the same same thing.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
This is the same thing.
No, it isn't.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
But it actually got me thinking when they were
saying songwriters have gottenpaid, say, if you're a
songwriter, say you have no hits.
You come to town, somebody paysyou $100,000 to write songs.
Right, I do that for 20 yearsoh yeah, you never have a hit
and you wear a shirt that sayspay me what you owe me.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
It's the same thing.
It's the same thing.
They should say pay Caitlynwhat you owe her.
That's what they should say.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Even then, it should be disbanded.
Or let them play but don't makeeverybody watch it Saturday
afternoon at 2 o'clock on NBC.
I mean, it's on TV.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
It's on TV, yep, but just to go on like wow, what are
you thinking when you say payus what you Just tell me I'm
just trying to understand whatthey're thinking when you say,
pay us.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
They're obviously thinking that they're being
underpaid for their talent.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
But how are you underpaid when the business is
losing money?

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Do you think any of this would be an issue if
Caitlin Clark had not beenplaying?

Speaker 1 (19:46):
I actually don't, because then they don't have any
ground to stand on.
If Caitlin Clark wasn't on thecourt if she wasn't on the floor
.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
this wouldn't even be an issue, they're talking about
going on strike oh please go onstrike.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
But, Curt, I don't want to steal your the end of it
, because I'm assuming you sawthe same thing.
I did the punchline of thatwhen they said did you?
Go ahead.
No, are you getting there?
No, no, no.
Well, wnba came back becausethe girls wanted us to pay us
what you owe us.
And they came back and said youowe us $400 million to the

(20:21):
players.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
I mean an invoice.

Speaker 7 (20:28):
It was like something ridiculous, is't know, but but
it was yeah they were saying itwas out there.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
I don't think they just threw that number out there
hey I will say that I thinkthat our wnba talking points
have spread because there was apost.
I sent it to you guys, jim, Ihope you find it because we
should try to post it, but Ithink I added the uh, try that
in a small town to this post.
There's some players that wentout to a club but I didn't.

(20:54):
There's like four or fiveplayers walking into a club and
they couldn't get in.
The wmba players.
Yeah, some players, I don'tknow who they were off the top
of my head, but they're tryingto get in and they're super
offended that no one knows whothey are and they wouldn't let
them in the club.
And like we're the WNBA andlike what you know, like it's
Pippen and Jordan walking intosomewhere.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
It's fine.
I mean, it's not that I don'tmind them having the league,
it's just that's stupid.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
That's stupid to say that, but they don't think that,
kurt, it's stupid.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
It's lost money.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
How's attendance Horrible Right now.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
How's ratings Horrible?
How are the quality?

Speaker 4 (21:33):
of games Horrible.
So what are they standing on?
That's my question.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
You guys know why this exists.
We can't say it here.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Somebody take me somewhere else.
No, what say?

Speaker 2 (21:43):
it here, but somebody take me somewhere else.
No, no, what about that now?
Now this will be old time, thiscomes out, but we have to
mention it because the wholeworld is talking about it, about
that couple that got.
The couple got cold played youknow that guy I mean he just
stepped down, I mean likeyesterday so here's a question
for you.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Yeah, do you think the backlash has been too much?

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Yes, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
I mean, you know what do you?

Speaker 2 (22:11):
expect.
If that would have been me.
I would expect to.
Yeah, you can't keep your joband stuff the.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
HR girl.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I mean, I wouldn't imagine she would ever get a job
in human resources again.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
You know what?
She hasn't stepped down or beenfired yet, and she's the head
of HR.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
It's complicated because she's a woman.
It is complicated, or itshouldn't be complicated, but
that's more difficult.
And who knows, he was holdingher, maybe she was captive.
He had her in a bear hug.
She couldn't get away.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
I did hear somebody say watch and wait for it.
She'll say well, he kind ofpressured me into feeling like I
had to be with him, since hewas the it's going to happen.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
You should be an attorney.
You should be an attorney.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Everybody has to say, oh, you're right, yep.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah, yep, but boy was that uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
It was actually, it was actually, it was, it was
funny.
And then the next day everybodyhad memes.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Even I'll still go on , yeah, and you know, part of
this, you know, and a lot ofpeople are saying, which I I
maybe agree with, but probablynot, because the dude's, I mean
he's a billionaire, right, Imean he's, he's or he was now
he's ahead of him, he's got butstill, he's gonna to be doing it
, he's going to be okay.
But yeah, if they wouldn't havemade such a big deal, then

(23:30):
possibly Now they would have gotrecognized by somebody, but it
probably wouldn't have been onthe internet?

Speaker 7 (23:34):
Probably not, though.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
If they just kind of stood there and said oh shit,
don't say anything.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
That, that's what you get for cheating.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I'm going to rise to my next country.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Well, you can't say that because I mean there's
probably 10,000 other peoplethere doing the same crap.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
They're next, they're next.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
That's what you get, though.
Whatever song Coldplay wasplaying though it definitely
wasn't from the first tworecords, because those are good
songs Whatever happened afterthose records, it was one of
those.
What happened to Coldplay?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I happened after those records.
It was one of those.
What happened to coldplay?
Coldplay, what I admit I likecoldplay when they came out when
they're really good.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
The first couple of records are so good and they
were a rock band.
And now chris martin he's gotribbons tied around himself and
there's flowers over there.
It's like what are you skippingaround the stage?

Speaker 1 (24:19):
it's weak no wonder married to yep uh, gwen anthony?
No, I don't think so.
Okay, not together.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
No, we got, they're good they're talented bunch
they're fine, but the music is,it's just I know it's cold.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
It's gone cold.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
It's hold on there tonight in nashville the day
we're filming right now.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
There, we should have nashville over pre-show yeah,
he was actually going to be theguest tonight, but they had to
do the show oh, the billionaire, the byron guy.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Yeah, no, I wish you tried to get him on to get his
perspective.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
There ain't no libs coming on here, you know.
How do you know he's?

Speaker 2 (24:51):
a lib he was.
I mean, oh, come on.
No, you're talking about thecouple no, I'm talking about
cobley oh, okay, okay, now I'mtalking about the guy who got
caught he's probably.
He's probably, who knows?
He's probably lived.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Yeah, he probably's probably a lib too.
Yeah, he probably is.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
How do you justify that I've got so many?

Speaker 4 (25:08):
haters out there now, because I speak my mind.
Dude, you got lovers.
You got lovers.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
I know, but it's just like Neil can spot a lib
through the TV screen, throughanything I can see it in their
eyes.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
You can see it by their shoes.
Well, it's just a dark heavy.
They have bags, they have darkcircles, because it's like
freaking.
I mean I don't get me going Idon't feel like we got it
tonight.

Speaker 7 (25:29):
We got a few comments .

Speaker 4 (25:30):
I don't want to.
I don't want to.
I'm not judging people.
I just don't want to talk aboutlost people right now I thought
you really lit up on the lastepisode.
I gotta get my mind right.
I got a big tournament comingup oh, okay, all right, I turned
60.
It's not, you know we're good.
Well, I thought you lit up onthe last episode.
I turned 60.

Speaker 2 (25:50):

Speaker 7 (25:51):

Speaker 2 (25:54):
No, go on, Go on no.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
No, let it out, I'm going to be happy pappy tonight.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
This is happy.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Neil, yeah, yeah, it's happy Neil.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Can we tell them about in London?

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Yeah, talk about London.
I know you guys were over there.
Yeah, it was.
It was a lot of fun.
Can you all see me in London?

Speaker 1 (26:19):
I mean London was pretty awesome.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
It was actually where we were was awesome.
I got to tell you it was agreat trip.
It was actually where we werewas awesome.
I got to tell you it was agreat trip.
It was a blast.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
The Oasis concert Night one of the reunion tour
and it was freaking amazing.
It was wild seeing you guys.
I saw some of the posts and Isaw Aldean walking with the
commoners.
The dude, the peasant, yeah, the peasant.
I was like look, he's walkingthrough.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
He's actually walking , I think he, that's why it was
so fun.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I love that it was awesome I didn't expect that so,
oddly enough, we were in we'rein london, but the show was in
cardiff, which is about a fourhour ride.
So we got in a van it's reallycool van and we went over there.
We're staying there the night, and so we checked into the hotel
and saw a lot of people fromthe states who recognized us.

(27:10):
I was coming down the, comingdown the elevator, uh, at one
point and there was two guysfrom there and they're like
you're with the albine guys, aren't you?
I said, yeah, and they werehuge fans.
They were.
They were from nashville, oddlyenough um so they were over
there, a lot, lot of people overthere.
But it was super cool Cause wecould.
We could actually Jason couldgo and just hang out and went to
some old pubs.
That's awesome, you know it was.

(27:31):
It was so much fun and thewhole thing was was just the
show was amazing, like it was.
I'm a huge Oasis fan and theycame out firing and seeing it
over there with that crowd.
They were just insane.
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
For the record, me and Kalo are the commoners Tully
and Kurt.
We can go places.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Well, we don't have Tex, We've got Jim, we don't
have Tex, we have Jim.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
I just want to make sure that our listeners know the
difference.
Yeah, there's a little divideamongst the Try that in a Small
Town podcast crew.
Yeah, we get to go places, meand Caleb.
Nobody knows who we are, nobodycares who we are.
We get to actually watch people.
Kurt and Tully don't get towatch people much.
People watch them more thananything.
Who cares who we are?
We get to actually watch people.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Kurt and Tully don't get to watch people much.
No, you're right, people watchthem more than anything.
It was fun to go to a show.
I'll tell you this it was funto go to a show as fans get in,
the crowd sit there, and it wasso awesome.
Me and Kurt got.
There was two ladies sitting infront of us that had the bucket
hats on and we had to have them.

(28:45):
So Kurt bartered his with atriple play publishing hat.
I don't even have one of those.
And then, well, there are veryfew in existence.
They're really good and Ididn't want to give it up.
It might be the prototype, itmight have been.
Anyway, the other lady I endedup paying like 150, or Aldine
did I had to borrow the moneyfrom him.
Anyway, the other lady I endedup paying like $150, or Aldine
did I had to borrow the moneyfrom him.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Yeah you haggled the price, haggled the price, but
then C Aldean had the cash.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
It was really cool seeing Aldean sitting in the
crowd.
It was A.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
It was cool.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
I'm like him and Brittany are sitting in the
crowd amongst everyone.
It was awesome to see.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Even he was saying he hasn't seen a show like that in
20 years.
He hadn't.
There's no way he could haveSitting down.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
It was so cool about Cardiff.
So Cardiff is like a super, Imean ancient town.
There's like, I guess, likemore castles in Cardiff than
anywhere in England.
So you're, we're at this barafter the show and sitting out
there on this outdoor patio andwe look up and there's a castle
and it's like wow, this is, thisis cool, Like that's not a prop

(29:49):
.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
No, it's like it's.
It's funny.
As Americans, we're so used toseeing buildings if, if they're
100 years old.
Oh, look at the architecture.
But you're going over there.
It's really cool.
Hey, tell them what is this.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
This is a present from Jim, jim, and you didn't
tell our listeners why Jimbought us this bottle.
Because we're celebrating alittle bit.
Our listeners will find outlater what it's for yes, so we
are celebrating.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Oh yeah, something that we can talk about later
later and it's, it's pretty good, it's kentucky.
But so, jim, it's kentuckycoffee.
Where did you get it?

Speaker 4 (30:29):
yeah, you mean you just found it on the street, or
hey, can we look, can we look upwho the distillery is, and uh
see if they want to jump onboard.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
But you've had this before, and you thought it was
so good that we needed to try it.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
It's like a warm espresso martini.
It really kind of is.
So another thing, Me and Kurthad about.

Speaker 7 (30:49):
I don't know 75 espresso martinis.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Let's see, that's actually pretty good, yeah, see.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
That's actually pretty good yeah, kentucky
coffee, it's pretty good.
You were right, jim, that'sactually pretty good.
Good call, jim, that is vanillaice cream.

Speaker 7 (31:05):
Yes, Let me see this hey guys.
Hey guys, it's like maple syrupalmost.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
Oh, you know what that'd go good with.
It is like maple syrup, theeggnog coming up exactly evan
williams, you're on the list foroctober.
Jim, we gotta get you off thatmic.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
You're on the.
You're on the mic way too much.
First of all you should havelike a 25 word limit.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Jim pull your chair over here at the table, would
you?

Speaker 4 (31:28):
that mic.
Like a month ago that mic wasover here and then and then each
week goes by and it gets alittle close up.
It should be like the oldTwitter.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
You only get so many characters.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
Just because you've got a great radio voice, Jim,
you can't come in here andhijack the show, bro, just give
us your Kentucky coffee and getus buttered up.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
I didn't know we had a.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Mike till today.
He didn't.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
He didn't, did he?
No, this is your first rightjim.

Speaker 7 (31:59):
Yes, interesting, good one word answer did you run
that past your answers do wehave everybody say goodbye?
To jim.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
It was great do we have questions?

Speaker 1 (32:06):
oh, we might, ali, you sent one.
What was it?
There's a couple questions, Ithink I saw two uh, one one I
remember.
Okay, here I got it.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Surely we got more than two.
We got 30,000 followers.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
No, we do From Wendy Power I was writing Out of all
the interviews that y'all havedone, is there one that stands
out, and why?

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Who wants to take this first?
All the ones that Jason Aldeanand Brittany Aldean has been on
Suck up.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I know that's a big time suck up.
When are y'all coming back on?

Speaker 7 (32:40):
When are you coming back on?
People are dying to come backon.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Honestly, that's obviously number one because the
huge support and love fromJason and Brittany.
Let's say after Jason and.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Brittany.
What would be our favoritesafter that?
Well, I like Brittany beinghere too, though, because I've
got the Alabama support from her.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Yeah, it's two against one.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
You guys have one that's outside of the inner
circle, outside of the innercircle oh man, so many great
guests.
I really love the guys likeJason Redman.
For me, the American heroes, the guys that really make it all
happen.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
That's a hard question to answer right there
it is.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
They're all great.
The guests are so, so great.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
I do like the ones that we didn't know the person
and you got to find out aboutthem through even Larry Ward,
who was whatever last week.
That was really interesting tome because I knew nothing about
that Real interesting.
You learn something.
Jason Rebman.
That's just.
Oh my God, herb Street wasfantastic.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
He's such a great guy and so you got a quality human
like that and really everythinghe spoke he spoke from the heart
really, and I think that's whythat episode went so well.
It's just that you know, youtrust what he says, that that's
what he feels, so yeah it's.
It's a tough question becausethere's so many.
I love all the episodes, foryou know, apparently jim's a

(34:05):
gust tonight and I know well.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
I said I'll tell you I would say uh to me like the
herb street, definitely one, just because I'm a huge fan and
it's always fun when you, whenyou meet somebody and they're
like you think they are.
And then another one for mejust off the top, and we've had
65, so it's hard to recall allright now, but John Rich was a
super impressive human being.

(34:30):
I really had a lot even morerespect for him after he came on
the podcast.
Just because you feel like wow,I know that guy.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
You can't keep up with him.
He's so well-versed and he's soknowledgeable and wise about
everything.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
It's hard to keep up with him, if you haven't seen
that episode.
You need to go back and watchit.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Yeah, they're all great Raleigh Gaines and the
people that came on early, thatcame on early.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
You know that came on early when we were just getting
going.
You know, like the earlybelievers.
Yeah, you know, because youknow.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Hey, we got to get Gary LaVox back on because all I
want to do is, tell him, I toldyou so.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
What did you tell him so of?

Speaker 4 (35:07):
That he was going to go back on tour with Rascal
Flatts about two years ago.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Yeah, I said he would say.
He would say I'm not doing it,I'm not, I'm not going back out,
I'm done.
And I said you're going back ontour.

Speaker 7 (35:18):
It's happening.
That was two years ago.
That was a great episode.
I think they sold out everyshow yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
And we had him on the first time it was before they
toured, so we didn back on.
If it's just two seconds whereI can say I told you.
So See, that's a tough questionbecause you start thinking
about it.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
And, gary, that's one of my favorite episodes.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
It's so funny.
And speaking of favoriteepisodes just as we were talking
about it, they must have beenlistening.
Guess who just texted us allright now?
Who, Cletus?

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Are you serious?

Speaker 4 (35:51):
What an episode that was.
What's his question?

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Let's see if he's got a question.
I can't say that no, he's justhoping we can get together soon.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
He definitely wants to golf and write.
Yes, Because he's hit me up acouple times.
All of our schedules justhadn't lined up yet.
But he wants to do that andwe're going to make that happen,
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
We do have a.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Can we get DJ Silver back on?

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Oh yeah, he was great yeah he was great too, we have
some other questions too.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Well, I know there's one, unless you have it.
I remember because it was thefirst one and I believe it was
from a guy.
I think his name was Ed I'm not100% sure, but I think it was
Ed and he wanted to know Aren'tI Ed?

Speaker 7 (36:37):
Yes, I'm not 100% sure.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
But anyway, he did want to know, like when you come
up with bass parts like how doyou do that You're in the studio
?
Do you think about it the nightbefore?
Do you do it while the song'sgoing?

Speaker 4 (36:49):
down.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Kalo anybody can play bass, Particular bass line
Serious question Like you knowwhat do you do what goes through
your head.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Neil, that really hurt.
No, I heard you slide that inthere.
I couldn't help myself.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
But before you answer , I just want to say Don't laugh
at me, don't call me names, don't get your pleasure from me.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
In God's eyes.
No, T is actually one one ofthe best bass players I've ever
been around a hundred bar noneand people always comment on
anything that I've been a partof, that's a demo or whatever
that you played on songs thatwe've written or whatever.
Everybody always goes who'splaying bass?
And because they don't everhear anybody that plays bass

(37:35):
like that.
No, and it's really reallyunique and exquisite.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Well, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
I love.
Not everybody can play bass.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
You know my style, I guess Ed, I love Ed.
It's really just, I hear amelody in my head and I'll play
it on the bass.
Generally that's what I'm,that's how I just when I grab it
in the base, I'm like, whatpart, what melody am I'm hearing
?
And sometimes it, you know it'sit's my own style.

(38:07):
You know it's not for everybodyand that's that's what I love
about it.
Like if you got a fingerprint, you know a style and not
everyone's gonna love it.
So you, you know it's, it'ssome, it's too much for some
people.
They just want bass to be justsimpler and that's that's great.
I love playing like that aswell.
I just I really get attached tothe song and if I love a song,

(38:30):
I'll hear melodies in my head onthe bass and I'll just play
them on the bass and so that'swhat, that's what comes out, you
know.
So I've never thought that.
I've always that's what I'vedone and, like I said, it's not
for everybody, but it's for alot of people.
I'm, you know, and I'mcomfortable with what I do, you
know it's subjective and it'syou think you'll ever play bass

(38:53):
on this podcast.
Yes.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Kurt, you think he'll ever play guitar on this
podcast?
He probably won't.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
Do we have to pay Kurt to play?
Is that what this is?
No, that's not the money.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
He didn't do it for money or passion.
We don't know why.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
You guys know and I'm going to spearhead this you
guys know that all four of usare going to have to pick up
guitars at some point on thispodcast and play some stuff.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
You know what I can't believe we haven't done?
Just played.
Try that in a Small Town onthis podcast.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
I think that's behind-the-wall subscriber stuff
.
Definitely that's what themanager told us, but he's in LA
right now.

Speaker 7 (39:39):
Speaking of LA.
No, can't tell you.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Who's taking that behind the wall?

Speaker 2 (39:43):
money it's happening, kurt, we'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
It's happening.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
It's all happening.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
So did we talk about the Abbey Road thing yet no.

Speaker 4 (39:50):
Have you seen the documentary?

Speaker 3 (39:51):
check it out.
So we went to on our londontrip.
We go to abbey road and look inthe studios and that's even
better.
We're standing on the streetgetting ready to do our little
walk.
For the picture look across thestreet.
Try that in a small townt-shirt.
That's insane, dude.
You might have mentioned rightthere at right there, who was it
?
I said albine look at that andagain I can't believe we didn't

(40:15):
get video.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
Thanks for the content, guys.
I think I know why, though, in.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
London.
We were pretty drunk most ofthe time, but we were focused
half the time.
No, seriously, it was crazy andjust fans, just fans.
There is a picture that existsthat we will get our producer
slash.
Co-host Jim to the picture.

Speaker 7 (40:41):
Yeah, you made it.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
Finally, I like your style too.

Speaker 7 (40:44):
I like how you just showed up with the mic.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
I don't know how you got a mic.
He's the only one getting paidout of the five of us.
You know what it's like.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
It's like you're on the road and you're setting up
and you look over, the lights godown.
All of a sudden, the showstarts and you look over and
like you're text on stage with aguitar, with a microphone.
That's what this is likeincredible, jim.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
I'm very impressed, I'm not even mad hey Jim do we
need to go to break or are wejust rolling right through?

Speaker 2 (41:12):
yeah, maybe a break, alright.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
Jim says, we take a break Whatever Jim says, make
sure you edit that out.
I don't know we're going loosetonight and if you hear any,
heavy breathing from me.

Speaker 4 (41:24):
Please mute my mic.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Actually, it's going to be like YouTube and they say
enjoy this, it'll just be youfor a minute going.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Why does that have to be a thing when you can't
breathe out of your nose and inyou you're a heavy breather?
All of a sudden, I turned 60and I can't breathe out of my
nose, so it's like becauseyou're lunging I mean a lot, of,
a lot of people have a deviatedseptum, maybe that's it I've
already had no surgery.
It didn't work.
It didn't work, didn't?
Did I tell y'all about the time, which, like two, three months

(41:52):
ago?
No, I just look, I'm gettingserious.
I know I took my foot off thetable.
I'm nervous.
Listen, this is for real, I'mnot kidding you.
I don't even know if Allieknows my daughter.
Listen, I'm sitting in bed, meand Leonard in there, and this
is a few months ago, and we'rewatching TV and I have to sneeze

(42:14):
.
And I go and I sneeze and afreaking, inch by inch, square
piece of cardboard comes out ofmy nose.
Oh, disgusting what.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Yes, like actual cardboard.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
Yes, I'm very confused and it's folded up and
it comes out and it goes and itjust falls out.
Is it an old lyric or something?
No, no, no, yeah, it's an oldlyric.
No, I had nose surgery, pirate's map.
Let me tell you something whenI was Golf handicap.
I was probably.
I was in my mid-20s when I hadmy nose surgery.

(42:48):
Oh shit, and I've heard of thishappening to other people.
What, yes, I've heard of thishappening to other people.
What, yes?
They put all this packing up inyour sinuses and they put it in
your nose to keep everythingseparated.
It was from my surgery when Iwas in my mid-20s.
So you're talking 35 years ago.
Did you save it?
No, I threw it away.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
I would have pickled that.
I put it in a jar like somepig's feet or something.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
It came out.
It broke loose and came out.
It broke loose and came out.
And I'm sorry if I'm grossingout the listeners, but I'm going
to tell you it freakinghappened and it was laying there
and it was huge and I'm like,oh, Because I remember them
taking packing out.
And so did it feel different?

Speaker 1 (43:28):
No, not really.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Not really.
It felt different for his wife.
I still heavy breathe.
It didn't make any difference, but I just that it felt
different for his wife.
I still heavy breathe.
It didn't make any difference, that is bizarre, but I looked it
up and it's a common thing frompeople who have no surgery.
It's really really common.

Speaker 3 (43:43):
You should have saved it and signed it.
Years later, they'll sneeze upsomething or blow out something
that's from their surgery beforethat's crazy.

Speaker 4 (43:48):
There's no telling what people have inside their
bodies from bladder surgery orwhatever.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
That's why I don't have surgery that's it, that's
the reason okay, if I don't havesurgery or go, I'm telling
y'all nothing can be wrong rightnow.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
This is what the people want right now.
This kind of information thatmight be if any of our listeners
have any questions called I'mmore surprised that you didn't
take a picture of it and textthe group I.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
I did not.
No, I would have.

Speaker 4 (44:15):
No, it wasn't even disgusting, it was just like
there is a plain piece ofcardboard.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
Blew out of my senses , it still had the cardboard
feel to it even after all thoseyears.

Speaker 4 (44:24):
Yes, it wasn't rotted it wasn't nothing, it was fully
intact.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Been up in there for 35 years.
Now, did that impact lovemakingthat night, or did everything
go as planned?

Speaker 4 (44:41):
Sorry, allie, I guess we need a camera on Allie.

Speaker 1 (44:45):
Oh yeah, where's your mic?

Speaker 3 (44:46):

Speaker 4 (44:50):

I don't get on Tully's part.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
I learned that you learned it didn't you, though I
did, Jim.
You're not singing harmony now,About to lose that fucking mic.

Speaker 4 (46:50):
You've overstepped your boundaries you could do a
country version of that, it'd beso good so, uh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
so today Ozzy Osbourne passed away 76, right
is that what they said?
Young, yeah, seems, seems young.
Of course maybe it does becausewe're getting closer to there.
Passed away 76, right Is thatwhat they said?
Young, yeah, seems young.
Of course, maybe it doesbecause we're getting closer to
there.
So do you remember?

Speaker 3 (47:22):
what year was this, buddy?
2010.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
Kalos, you'll get a kick out of this as well.
Oh, Kalos is a part of thestory I am.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
So first year we played Sturges and we I am.
So First year we play Sturgesand we open for Ozzy Osbourne.
I'd be at 2010, I think.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Yeah, I'm bad at that game, but yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
So it's, you know, we're opening for Ozzy.
So it's, you know, some of ourcrowd but a lot of Ozzy.
So we start playing and it'sgoing well, and then we played.
Yeah, that time we had laughed,we cried in the set.
Yes, so we.
So we played it.
And then we, you know, we startthe first verse and all of a
sudden it's just like harley'sover the sink I just like

(48:06):
they're.
Yeah, get to the next song yeah, you get the next song um
they're all there in theirharley played laughter, we cried
.
Well, that's just rude yeah, sorry, but it was a great time.
And then we got to you knowwe're backstage and we watched
aussie show and it was awesomeand and great and, yeah, it's,

(48:30):
we're losing these people.

Speaker 1 (48:31):
Yeah, we're losing them and I guess that, like I
said, it just means we'regetting older, because the
people we grew up listening toare passing away and someday
they're going to be talkingsaying that about us.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
Oh my god, people we grew up listening to are passing
away well, and he and where wasthe last show?

Speaker 2 (48:51):
because he just had one.
He was in his wasn't his hugeseat there wasn't

Speaker 4 (48:55):
it.
How about that?
I think, so they're pulling himback, and how about the timing?
Of that amazing.
I think he's almost like ozzyknew something it hasn't been
well.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
I I don't know exactly what he was battling.
I don't.
I know he wasn't well, but Ican't I didn't even know that.

Speaker 1 (49:11):
I mean, I kind of knew that, but I didn't, I
didn't even know that.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
I mean, I kind of knew that, but I didn't.
Yeah, but yeah, it's weirdlosing these huge, you know
music icons.
Yeah definitely an icon.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
You're talking about that'd be a great country song.
One of our questions, Iremember, was who would you want
to collaborate with?
Anybody you know, dead or alive, but that's you're right,
that'd be a great country song Iknow right, That'd be so good.

Speaker 4 (49:38):
There's so many rock songs you could convert into
country songs.
That would be so good.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
Who would like, as far as like, a Jason collab, who
would be something cool likefrom your perspective.

Speaker 4 (49:50):
He already did, brian Adams, so you can't say that
yeah, I mean.

Speaker 7 (49:56):
Which is great.
He would have been a good oneIf you would have asked me that
question.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
We did I mean.

Speaker 4 (50:01):
Seeger and.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
Brian Adams were two that were on the list.

Speaker 4 (50:03):
How are you going to top that?

Speaker 3 (50:05):
Obviously.
You know, if we ever did likesome sort of thing with Sting,
it would be amazing.
You know I love that era music.
You know I still find myselflistening to, like old Dire
Straits albums, which I love, yeah, love it.
God Dire Straits speaking ofthat, you see that there's a new

(50:28):
Billy Joel documentary outstarted watching it last night.

Speaker 4 (50:31):
I haven't started yet .
What's it on?

Speaker 1 (50:34):
HBO Max or Max or whatever it's called now.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
I want to see that.
We saw him live in Nashville.
It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Last time he was here .
Oh, the last time he was here, yeah it was, like I don't know,
a year ago.
Was it a stadium Two?

Speaker 2 (50:44):
years, was it a stadium?

Speaker 4 (50:46):
Did he flip the piano ?

Speaker 1 (50:47):
over Billy Joel.
No he didn't?

Speaker 4 (50:50):
He should have made that part of his show.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
It was amazing, really amazing.
Billy Joel's.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
Italian restaurant.
It's in my top songs ever thatI love.
That song is brilliant.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
Brilliant.
Any more questions?

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Kurt.

Speaker 4 (51:07):
Oh, what Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
No, I was going to say just because you're talking
about losing ozzy and everythingand um, uh, is it?
malcolm warner, yeah, it's onthe, you know the cosby yeah, uh
it ripped down he was onvacation with his family what,
okay, and you know he was theoright on the on the cosby show
and did many other things, butlike, uh, I think that's what
he's most known for.
But he's on a family vacationand it was just a current and

(51:37):
drug him out and they had somepeople that got him back to
shore, but it was too late.
I believe it was Costa Rica.
I believe it was Costa Rica, that's right.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
I'm getting not necessarily because of that.
As I get older, I'm more andmore afraid just to get in the
ocean.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Yeah, and he's 54.

Speaker 1 (52:02):
I wish I mean that's like current sharks.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Do they all feel like that?
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
I mean, I've been that way for a long time but
really since I was a kid.
I still go out in the ocean andstuff, but I saw Jaws at a
drive-in.
That was the first movie I eversaw as a kid.
I still go out in the ocean andstuff, but I saw.
I saw jaws at a drive-in.
That's the first movie I eversaw as a kid.
Yeah, first movie I wasterrified, I think, I think
social media has got everybodyfreaked out.

Speaker 4 (52:22):
Nothing, I don't think anything has changed.
There's sharks aren't eatingpeople more.
Currents aren't any strongerthan they used to be.
I think everybody just getsfreaked out by social media.

Speaker 1 (52:33):
I think you're right.
You're right.
I think that's probably true.
It's so embedded in your mindand everybody's brains now.
And also mortality kicks in asyou get older.
Sure.

Speaker 3 (52:42):
I do wish Aldina was here because no one knows this.
I wish she was here because itwould tell a story, true story,
one of my nine lives.
So we were in Mexico 08, 7, 8.
And we were in mexico, oh,eight, seven, eight.
And we were.
You remember this trip, kurt?
We were all down there playinga private event for something.

(53:04):
And so we go in the ocean andthis is the truth.
We're out there swimming.
So I got caught in like one ofthose riptides, yeah.
So I got caught in like one ofthose riptides, yeah.
And at first I was like I'lljust swim out of it and I
literally couldn't and I canswim pretty well and I couldn't.

(53:24):
It was pulling me out.
I started to freak out and itwas Aldine who reached me and
pulled me out of it and drug meback in.
Really, yes, and it was notgoing well, holy, like we talked
about it on the on the road theother night and he, he
mentioned he goes remember thetime I saved your life and I
said, yes, I do, and it and it.

(53:47):
I wish he was here because he'shis part of it too is.
I'm actually it's not even ajoke.
It was very close.
I was very weak.
I had no.
I can totally see when I foundout it was a drowning.
I can totally see how ithappens.
I used so much energy trying toget out of that thing I was.

(54:07):
I had nothing left.
Aldine pulled me through it andI don't even know how he did it
because it was so strong, butit was a.
I'm serious, I'm not jokingthrough it and I don't even know
how he did it because it was sostrong.
He's a Georgia boy.
I'm serious, I'm not joking.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
It was a thing, it freaked me out, and they say
which is?
Everything's counterintuitive.
But they say, if you get caughtup in one is you're supposed to
float on your back andhopefully somebody's going to
recognize that things arehappening.
But if you fight it it's worse.
That's what they say now.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
It's just hard to fight in the moment.
It's hard to fight that Because, yeah, but there's also a.
I started watching last night anew shark thing on HBO about
the 2024 shark attacks inFlorida.
There are more.
I'm with you, neil.

Speaker 4 (54:54):
Obviously, social media and everything we hear
about the shark.
You see them, they happen.
They still happen a lot.
They happen back then, beforesocial media.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
You just see everything and hear about them
more, but they're.
Yeah, getting eaten by a sharkis right below getting eaten by
a bear if I was a shark, I'd eatyou god.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Well, we're probably delicious and more delicious now
than we used to be with all theMSG and stuff.

Speaker 1 (55:15):
Hey, I got a question .
If we were on a plane crash andwe had to start eating each
other, who would go first?
Your calves?

Speaker 3 (55:25):
Going for those things, those will feed us, I
think.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
Neil's probably got some juicy.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
No, no, no, no I got some good looking calves no,
this guy's got the biggestcalves in country music.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
No, kalo no.
This guy's got the biggestcalves in country music.
No, kalo, no, no, no, no, no.
Wait until y'all play golf withKalo, you're going to see it.
I don't think we should betalking about eating each other
when he steps up with his driverand the sun's in the west and
it's shining down on his calvesbefore he tees off it looks like
you know the county fair, turkey legs, oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
Covered in butter.
That's first.
That's K-Lo's.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
Obviously, we eat the pilots.
They wrecked the plane to beginwith.

Speaker 4 (55:56):
Dude, you would be like standing on two bones.

Speaker 2 (55:59):
I'm like your femurs.
Have we already done a break, kurt?
No listen.

Speaker 4 (56:03):
Your tibia bones would be showing because you'd
already be eight.
Oh my God, this is terrible.

Speaker 3 (56:07):
Well, the good news is, you can still stay alive,
because you'd just be pickingaway at your calves.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
I don't know.
I think we might have a.

Speaker 4 (56:13):
I think we should have a calf contest.

Speaker 3 (56:16):
I don't know Like roping Might lose some listeners
.
You remember that Roping calves.

Speaker 4 (56:19):
I lost the freaking plank contest.
Let's have a calf contest.
We got destroyed.
Let's butter them up and let'sshow them.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Let's show them to the listeners.
They want to see your calves.
Let's do it.

Speaker 4 (56:31):
I got the best tan.

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Man I saw a really crazy movie a couple days ago,
eddington.
Have you guys heard about thisJoaquin Phoenix movie yet?
No, I'm saying Paddington, no,I think it's Eddington.
I hope I'm saying that right,jim.
Look that up Eddington movie.

Yeah, microphone into the mic,jim.
Honestly oh, now you want me totalk yeah.

Speaker 3 (57:03):
Well, when spoken to.
Yeah, eddington, it's the movie.
I've seen it right.
Eddington is precious talk, jim.

Speaker 4 (57:10):
E-D-D-I-N-G-T-O-F yeah, eddington, he'll edit it
all together.

Speaker 3 (57:13):
it'll be great, kind of a true story, I believe, and
the guy that directed Midsommar, which is a crazy movie.
He directed this movie and it'sreally interesting.
You guys should see it.
It's a crazy movie, but it'sabout COVID and it's set in 2020
in a small town in New Mexico, eddington, and it's basically it

(57:34):
covers everything from liberalmayor to conservative sheriff
mask wearing Black Lives Matter.
All the craziness rolled intothis one movie and I really
liked it because it was verypolitical.
But it was political on bothends of the spectrum.
Does that make sense?

(57:54):
It was Not at all.
It was political on both endsof the spectrum.

Speaker 4 (57:57):
Does that make sense?
Uh-uh it was.

Speaker 3 (57:58):
It was Not at all.
You know what I mean.
So it wasn't like a justleft-leaning Hollywood thing.
It showed the craziness on bothends Really interesting.
I'd love to get the listeners'review of it because I want to
see it again and it's a lot.
My wife was like what justhappened?
Because I want to see it againand it's a lot.
My wife was like what justhappened.

Speaker 4 (58:15):
You remember when the libs were like the no kings
thing, that we had no kings, nokings, no kings Coming out of
the same mouth of the peoplethat demanded masks, demanded to
stay in home, demanded all thisshit, demanded kids stay out of
school?

Speaker 2 (58:41):
and now they're screaming no kings.
I mean like hypocrisy is isunbelievable.
Unbelievable, yeah, and this, this gets over talked about, but
it's still it just things thatI'll take things that blow my
mind for a hundred dollars, alex, but like the people are
getting the the left is is somad about ice agents wearing
masks to protect their identityand their families, but they
never say anything about anybodyprotesting on the streets.
You know, it's just odd.

(59:02):
It's like, of course, if you'rean ICE agent, you don't want
everybody to know who you are oryour family.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
You know what I mean.
There is nothing I'll go onrecord.
There is nothing worse than asuper far left liberal there is
nothing worse.

Speaker 4 (59:15):
You can far left liberal.

Speaker 3 (59:15):
There is nothing worse, you can argue you can't
talk to them.
You can't, they're crazy.

Speaker 4 (59:22):
If I was a Democrat, I would be saying the exact same
thing A lot of them do, though, like there's a that far left.

Speaker 3 (59:28):
I'm talking about.
You know who you are.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
They're not listening .
We learned a new term.

Speaker 4 (59:33):
Maybe they learned it .
Yeah, secretly, come on here,if you dare.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
We learned a new.
Is it an acronym like?

Speaker 1 (59:39):
when Larry Ward was here last week.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
Yeah, the Awfuls which.
I hadn't heard that before.
Neil, do you remember who theAwfuls are?
Who are the Awfuls?
Who?

Speaker 7 (59:48):
Yeah, what's it stand for?

Speaker 2 (59:51):
Angry.

Speaker 4 (59:52):
White White Angry White.
White, white, angry whitefemale female ugly lesbian no,
no, no, no, no, no no, no, no,no no kurt, do you remember?

Speaker 7 (01:00:02):
I do for the listeners.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
That was incorrect it's the first thing that came
to my mind.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
I'm sorry yeah, I think this is interesting
because you were saying nothingbugs you more than somebody
who's super left liberal.
It's because you can't talk tothem, you can't change their
mind.
It's like Trump bad, everythinghe does is bad, and I would
argue that they would say thatwe're the same way.
But I would say that's not thecase, because there's plenty of

(01:00:32):
things, speaking of COVID, thatI think that Trump handled wrong
, and another one actually hasbeen this Epstein file thing.
Like I don't like how he haspersonally handled it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
You can't like it because the whole thing you
can't like it because there's noway around it.
Like, transparency is what heran on.
Yeah, and now all of a sudden,we can't be transparent.
It's not a good look, and mypoint is it's just not.
It's just not a good look.

Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
It isn't a good look.
But my point is that I thinkwe're all fine with criticizing
him when we don't agree withcertain things, when the other
side will only say everything hedoes is bad, everything he does
is evil, but I think we'realways looking at hey, he's
kicking ass here, which is a lotof areas.
What?

Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
makes me.
What gets under my skin isnobody on the left or right.
It's like hush-hush on bothsides, Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:01:35):
Well, it's hush-hush on both sides.

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
Can Well.
It's hush-hush on both sides.
Can you imagine the backroomdeals?

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
going on.
Oh my God, I can't even imagineYou're 100% right and I'm just
like they want this to go away.
So bad because it hurts bothparties.
So bad apparently no.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
I mean, look, whatever's going on.
I think everyone understands.
That's probably a big list.
There's probably a lot of badstuff.
You know what?

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
If Trump was part of that if he was, he's not part of
it they would be trying tocrucify him now the left, he's
not part of it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
They're like not saying a word.
That's not it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
I don't even think it's a list man.

Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
I think it's like it's.
I don't know, but it could bean israel connection.
It's bigger than for.
I don't get you.

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
I don't understand that part of it, for something
I'm I've read but I don'tunderstand.
I agree with everything I likeI don't think trump would have
been going on about this for solong before.
Had he been on that list, hewould know.
But I'm with kurt like thisgoes so bigger.
This goes to like other thingsthat affect worldwide stuff, I
think like deals.

(01:02:40):
There's so much I can't imaginethe backroom deals going on
around this subject.
You can't do this.
Because of that, this is goingto have a bad.

Speaker 4 (01:02:49):
I think Jim's on the list.

Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
Well, but going back to the original thing, when Kurt
was talking about not beingable to talk to liberals.
The reason the liberals don'tlisten to things that we say a
lot of times is because a lot ofus talk like this we sound a
little country and we don'tsound intelligent and they deem
us as ignorant rednecks.
That's a fact, and so that'swhy we can't be intelligent, we

(01:03:15):
can't have a point of view.
That's my experience.

Speaker 4 (01:03:19):
So you're right.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
I'm not disagreeing with you.

Speaker 4 (01:03:21):
Nobody on the planet's got more common sense
than me.
Nobody, really.
Nope, nope, I'm saying it rightnow.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Well, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, we
found it.

Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
Nobody.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
Bring your questions here.

Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
I'm attaining.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
I've got all the comments, but again, my whole
point was, you know, trumpcoming out and saying it's a
hoax, and if you believe it, youI'm going to turn my back on
you.
I was like, eh, it probablywasn't the right way to go.
And you can't say just thatprobably wasn't the right way to
go about it and you can't sayjust forget about it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
You told people not to forget about it, so it's
definitely no, he's not on thelist.
What I hate, though, is hegives the left all that ammo now
, because it's not a good look.
You say he wants everybody toforget about it.
Well, all of a sudden we'regoing to forget about it.
It's really, I mean, it's not agreat look, but kurt's right.

(01:04:17):
Like we, we'll say that we'renot going to sit here, and you
know look, and I also completelysupport him and he's kicking
butt, yeah no doubt about it heis, he is, he is definitely
kicking butt.

Speaker 4 (01:04:28):
Yeah, I'm so thankful he's in office.
Oh my god, can you imagine the?

Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
train wreck we'd be in look at what he's done with
the border right now.
I mean it's shut down.
No one's getting through theborder.
Shut down.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Well, and I saw this morning because they are doing
the percentages on candidatesfor the next presidential run
and Trump, though he can'tlegally run, is tied with Kamala
Harris right now at 4%, at 4%,at 4%, but he can't even run.
And with kamala harris rightnow, at four percent, at four
percent, but he can't even runand he's tied.
You know, uh vance by, butpretty, pretty significant, uh,

(01:05:05):
that's a good question I don'tthink it was cortez.
I don't, I don't think it's aocbut yeah, biden now maybe, yeah,
maybe running.
He also speaks in morse code.
I mean, I get who knew?

Speaker 4 (01:05:14):
It's like beep I mean you know who we should have.
On Stephen Colbert yeah, he'sgoing to have a lot of time.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
He's going to have some time.
He's out of a job right now.
It'd be great.

Speaker 4 (01:05:25):
It'd be great.

Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
He's shocked, he is shocked.

Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
I bet Hunter Biden will come on.
Probably.
Probably I'm gonna get him onhere.
Him is crack pipe or your crackpipe.
Show us how to like that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
Would you interview on him?
I'm not good at weeb, I'll givethat a try, oh my god, yeah,
he'd be great, he'd be greathe'd be great.

Speaker 3 (01:05:54):
Pass it over, hunter, hear that lighter what's your?

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
what's your macbook password?

Speaker 7 (01:06:01):
that's so good.
Oh god, oh man what a shit showthat's the funniest thing he's
ever said.

Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
I mean that was so good, and the guy he interviewed
him in that thing who was that?

Speaker 3 (01:06:11):
I don't even know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Yeah, I think we got a chance if he interviewed him
that's what I mean.
I think we can actually get himon and just say dude let's go
let's get it out you know, buthe actually started to make some
sense, which was weird well, hesaid dc drano said it's the is
the only time he's ever agreedwith anything that hunter biden
has said he was.

Speaker 3 (01:06:33):
I read that it was so good, he said that Biden had
taken Ambien.
Before that debate Did you read?
That.
And that's why he was so out ofit.

Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
He'd been taking Ambien to sleep Well because
they tied his overseas trip tothe debate, which was five days
prior.
That's what they tied it to.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
That's crazy.
Apparently, that's what theytied it.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Apparently that's that's whathunter biden was saying.
But you know, I mean seriously.
I mean you want hunter bidenout there speaking on your
behalf, even if you're it waspretty entertaining yeah, it was
I mean, it's all you know atthe end of the day, it's all
entertainment.
Yeah, right, that's all we areI hope we're just, we're just

(01:07:15):
entertaining, we're not newspeople.
No, you're not Nobody gives twoshits about what you have to
say about anything.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
Language.

Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
Or me, or Kalo, or Kirk, that's not true, neil?

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
No, it's true.
I think you're off the mark.
You're a bass player and you'rea damn good bass player.
Fake news.
Um, I will say this is actuallya little bit of a heavier topic
, but I couldn't believe.
I read it this morning.
Uh, did y'all hear about theguy and his, his wife, she was

(01:07:47):
having an mri, I think this wasin new york she had.
She had called her husband in uh, keith is his name, I think her
name is jones mcallister, andshe's having an mri and I think
she's having trouble getting offthe table.
She had called her husband inKeith is his name, I think her
name is Jones McAllister andshe's having an MRI and I think
she's having trouble getting offthe table.
So she had called him in tohelp and he had on this 20-pound
.
It was like a workout, kind oflike a weighted vest, I guess,

(01:08:09):
except it was a necklace, it was20 pounds right.
So he comes in there and leansover to help her up and that MRI
of that huge magnet just suckedhim in the machine.
He's, he is dead Like he died inher arms and it was, and she
was yelling and says turn it off.
You know they couldn't get themachine turned off and it wasn't

(01:08:33):
the first time that she hadbeen had an MRI there, nor was
it the first time that Keith hadbeen there wearing that
necklace and the fact that heeven got in the magnet.

Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
Yeah, they tell you to take off, I know, but what
killed him?

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
ultimately, the MRI has such a huge draw of a magnet
that it sucked him in there andI don't know if it strangled
him or broke his neck.
Like yes, they were Break hisneck or something I don't know.
I don't know if it broke hisneck but he probably suffocated
broke his neck, probablysuffocated.
Yeah what?
But he couldn't get.
You couldn't get loose and it'sI mean it's.
It's a super strong, like ifyou had metal in your body.
It's why they ask you to takeoff all your jewelry hey, do you

(01:09:01):
have any metal in your body?

Speaker 5 (01:09:02):
things like that, because it'll you know, anyway,
he's, I didn't hear about thattraumatic.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
I can't imagine being very sad, being hurt for her
and she's just yelling and uhanyway.
So I just want to lift up thatfamily.
There's a lot of people it'sbeen a weird season people
passing in different kind ofways, even friends of ours and
stuff but definitely pray forthat family because that's just
such a.

Speaker 7 (01:09:26):
I think it was in New York somewhere in.
New York.
I did not hear that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
Anyway, it's just awful, but someone pray for them
.

Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
Yeah, absolutely Prayers to them and the family.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Way to bring us down.

Speaker 1 (01:09:39):
Caleb yeah, I don't know where to go now.

Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
We were laughing and things, and now you're right
though.
Well, we can.
Yeah, how do you lead us out ofthis?

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
Well, I've been meaning to talk to you about it.

Speaker 7 (01:09:53):
I think go ahead?

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
No, is God playing a role in your life, Tully?

Speaker 7 (01:10:00):
it's time for a song this podcast is an intervention.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
It's all set up as an intervention always is.

Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Yeah, you're right, but yeah, it's a always is.

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
I think everybody at this table are like strong
believers.
Oh yeah, all of us we believein prayer.
We believe in are like strongbelievers.
Oh yeah, all of us we believein prayer, we believe in.
I think we all have a.
We all come from a backgroundof believers, thankfully, yeah.
I don't know many.
What do you got if you don't?

(01:10:30):
I know?

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
It's lonely, I don't know where people turn?

Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
What do you do if you don't?
Don't steal that title.
I've already written it down.

Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
Copyright.
It's already done.
What?

Speaker 4 (01:10:43):
do you do?
If you don't, it's alreadywritten.
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
I got a call on the way over here from Chris and
Kelly Jansen and they invited meto an album release party
tonight.
That's going on like right nowbecause they got a cut on chris
jansen's record that me andkelly and chris wrote, so very
excited about that thank youthis album's coming out very
soon, yeah, so it's nice of themto ask or ask me, and I
couldn't, couldn't go, but uh,that's very cool.

(01:11:10):
So it feels good every now andthen to we should get jansen on

Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
He'd be great.

Speaker 2 (01:11:14):

Speaker 4 (01:11:52):
Yeah, the K-Lo host is a huge part of, but he had a
kick drum on stage.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):

Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
He had a harmonica stand, he had everything and I'm
like, what is he fixing to do?
And when that sucker went intostuff.

Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
I was over there going.
I don't want to follow him.
I knew whatever he was going todo, that I didn't want to do
anything after him.

Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
I didn't want to follow him at all.
It was amazing.
It was fantastic.

He's great To Chris Jansen.

It was a great time, dude, I saw the sound check that
you posted.
Yeah, it was awesome, wasawesome.
Keller was killing it, it wasawesome.

Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
You'd think most kids would get up there a little bit
nervous or afraid.

Speaker 5 (01:13:01):
Maybe he was, but he attacked it like it was his
stage.

Speaker 4 (01:13:06):
I figured Jason would come out there and be like give
me that mic kid?

Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
What are you doing?
It was so fun to have him out.
He's getting ready to go off tocollege, so we're dealing with
that right now, which is youknow what.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
I thought you'd want to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
Parting shot.
It will love us.
Maybe it's coming, but I wasgoing to say real quick.

Speaker 3 (01:13:28):

Uh, as a matter of fact, whereI live, my normal service isn't
good, so I just flip over to mysecond line.
Service is rocking yeah, it'sawesome.

Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
It's great, but yeah.
So the town of nashvillesuffered a great quarterback
loss.

Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
This week Is that what you're talking about?
Yeah, I thought you may want topreach on that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
It's awesome.
Let's end with this.

Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
I can't think of here Will Leps' name without
thinking about Tully.

Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
No, never again.
So he won't be playing thisyear.

Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
Nope, not that he was going to play this year.
He's out.
Not that he was going to playthis year, but he's officially
out.

Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
And hopefully you're going to have time to come on
the podcast.
He really should, because Iwant to tell him I think he'd be
better at tight end.
Stop trying to play quarterback.
Well, there's a low bar that heset for himself.
Well, I mean now with hisshoulder, whatever, I mean
whatever.
I think he'd be a better tightend.
I really do Bulk up a littlebit.
You're super, super athletic.
Tight ends, tight ends are.
I mean he could be a tight end,a much better tight end than a

(01:15:02):
quarterback.
Will come on the podcast, buddy, please?
Yes, I don't know if you willbut we haven't really givena
ringing endorsement.
No, actually I disagree.
Every time I talk about WillLevis for the listeners I always
start with saying he's superathletic.

Speaker 4 (01:15:19):
I bet that end got tight when they drafted that
other boy.

Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
But now it's Tannehill now, right, so he's
going to be the guy.

Speaker 4 (01:15:29):
What are you talking about, are you?
No, that's not true.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Saw it on Facebook.
It's got to be true.

Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Cam Ward, dude, they drafted him number one he's
playing.
Tannehill yeah, I think we knowRyan.
He is a great, great dude.
His family is great, his wife'sgreat.
We've known them for quite awhile, since they were in Miami.
Where is he?
He's not anywhere.
He ended up not playing lastyear.
He was going to wait for theperfect situation If it ever

(01:15:57):
arose.
He doesn't want to go.
Just be a backup, let's haveTannehill on.

Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
Huh, let's get Tannehill on here.

Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
I might call him now.
Yeah, I asked him not too longago and he was like eh, I'm just
saying we had Cash on, we hadChristie on.

Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
Yeah, I know, look where they are In the cabinet.
It's true, tannehill wound upin Trump's cabinet.
What do you got, kayla?
What?

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
are you ending on?
I was just going to see if Neilwanted to mention the Open and
Scotty Scheffler.

Speaker 4 (01:16:26):
Yeah, I was going to watch all that right.
That's like we called thatbefore it even happened.

Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:16:31):
I knew he was going to win it after day one.
Okay, and there's an in-depthlook.

Speaker 7 (01:16:34):
He's dominating no.

Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 1 (01:16:36):
I'm just saying but he's dominating.

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
No, I'm just saying he's dominating like Tiger Woods
.

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
Scotty Scheffler is I'm like and he's an amazing
human being.
Yeah, I mean, he has everything.

Speaker 1 (01:16:48):
Did you hear hey?
So I did tag him, because Idon't know if you saw the Nike
ad that they did, where it saidyou've already won.
It was him with this kid.
I was like, wow, that'ssurprisingly a really good ad.
So I said Nike was asurprisingly really good ad and
I tagged Scotty Scheffler in it,and then you know, you can go

(01:17:08):
and see who's looking at yourthing.
Oh, Scotty Scheffler, I waslike, will you come on our
podcast?
Oh, that'd be epic.

Speaker 3 (01:17:15):
He could play on our team for the golf tournament.

Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
And what I thought.
This is amazing because I readthis and even all the golfers
were talking about that.
He's just in a league on hisown and they're just talking
about they're just trying to getclose and keep up with him.
But this is interesting.
So 1,197 days separatedScheffler's first major from his
fourth, with legendary golferTiger Woods accomplishing the
same feat in the exact sameamount of time.

Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
Exact amount of days.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Yeah, it's no accident.

Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
It's just odd.
I mean it's like how is thateven possible?
Anyway, it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Matt tricks me out Like an eight nine-stroke lead.

Speaker 1 (01:17:54):
Yeah, you know, nobody can keep.
He's way too consistent, nobodycan keep up.

Speaker 4 (01:18:04):
I love it when that happens and golfers like him
come along and they're bad forratings because everybody turns
the TV off because they knowwhat's going to happen.
It's going to happen with himand he's just getting started.
It's not the most importantthing in his life and you can
tell.

Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
His interviews are riveting because of that.

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
It's his job and he goes out and does his job to the
best of his ability, but it'snot the most important thing in
his life.
He does it for God and he doesit for his family and he's a
winner and people I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
you can say whatever you want.
We love winners.

Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
We're going to try that podcast we do Absolutely.
