Speaker 1 (00:00):
He said me and my
buddy have been doing something
and it's really cut into ourcardio.
We're cutting calories likecrazy.
And he said it's really great.
I said what are you guys doing?
He goes well, we're wrestling.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
No he didn't Dude.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
I mean, you honestly
can't make this up.
Okay, so go.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I said, oh, wrestling
, yeah, I did that when I was in
junior high, wasn't that great.
But he goes.
No, my full basement is full onwrestling pads.
There's no furniture, it's justwrestling pads With mud, with
oil.
Maybe oils, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
I do need to ask you
this because I think it's
serious.
Okay, cobb's getting serious.
Uh-oh, I'm going to send you anemail later tonight.
You do need to report to mefive things you've done in the
last week.
Okay, why are people gettingmad about that?
Speaker 5 (00:48):
anyway, the first
thing we do at award shows is go
find the list of people playinglive.
It is.
We know who it's going to be.
It's us.
It's Miranda Landry.
Miranda, always, her bandalways plays live you know
Stapleton, you can always tellwho's not playing live.
Easy to tell.
I can pick that off Becausethey're dressed in long leather
(01:11):
coats and scarves and thingsthat you could never play live
in.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
The Try that in a
Small Town podcast begins now
begins now.

not, there's a small sign behind
you there.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, see, you can't
see that I know, but believe me,
we're thrilled to have him.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
We got Neil calling
you first name, again it's.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Neil Kelly Brother
Neil Tully.
Wow, and I feel like I insultedEd and I didn't mean to do that
.
No, you didn't.
He's tough.
He is tough, actually, has he'strying to come up with a good
nickname for me, and god blesshim.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
And I saw a new one,
mc.
I saw that too.
I don't know, man, we'restruggling.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
You guys got to get
with ed, so so kurt does have a
couple nicknames.
I do, actually I have anickname.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
You have a lot of
nicknames.
What is it?
Speaker 4 (02:20):
well, here's the
thing about nicknames.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
They may not make
sense.
One of them is just called Cornbecause he's from Iowa, so
forever we'll call him Corn, andthat's pretty common on the
road.
Aldean would be like hey, where's Corn?
I like Corn.
We'll be like I don't know,he's on the bus or he's pouring
drinks.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Most people like Corn
, a lot of carbs, and then
another unfortunate one.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
No, now his other one
wait a minute.
I don't think Caleb would saythat.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
I like corn, corn's
good.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
A lot of carbs, he
said.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
It's not the most
healthy vegetable, but it's very
colorful.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Is it a vegetable?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
It is isn't it, corn?
Yeah, it's just not.
It's not a fruit?
Speaker 1 (02:57):
No, it's not.
It's not that nutritious, Ithink.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
But don't any of you
say you don't like corn.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I love it for you.
I love it for your name.
I do Corn on the cob.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Do you guys eat corn?
Speaker 5 (03:08):
on the cob oh it's
amazing Sweet corn we just call
you Cobb Really?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Cobb, I like Cobb.
There it is, cobb.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
And that's how
nicknames start.
That's how nicknames start.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Cobb ain't bad I mean
it's better than my other
nickname.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
And Ed.
If you're listening, ed, whichI hope you are, I'm sure you are
get out there and recruit man.
Ed's recruiting.
I promise you the Ed Army.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Ed.
I'll say this about Ed heleaves us the best comments
reviews.
He is always on it.
He goes through the wholeepisode, what he likes, maybe
what he didn't like.
Yeah, he's fantastic.
We encourage everybody to dothat seriously, like subscribe.
Sometimes I forget to say that.
Go to youtube, make sure you dothat.
Leave us a five-star review.
We'll do like the brothers huntdo.
(03:56):
You can trash us all you want, just do five stars, we'll read
it on the air yeah, follow us onthe socials.
We're trying to get that xaccount going.
People follow us, let's gobring it kaylo.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
How can?
How was your day, it was okay alittle lengthy tell us about it
lengthy.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Yeah, I mean, it's
lengthy just as far as the drive
goes tell us about yourco-write today.
Uh, oh you had a co-write, yeah, yeah, it was fine Now.
These are great stories becausepeople don't understand.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
For every song you
might hear on an album or
streaming or on the radio, there's a million other days
where they're just not great.
So, Kalo, did you have a greatday?
Was it a great day?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Well, it actually
started on Tuesday.
It actually started on Friday.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Oh, hold on.
Your day-to-day started onFriday, no just a little
evolution of what took placestarted on Friday.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
And it just continued
over and you think well, it's
just one day, right.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
That's kind of
carried over Some of this is
inside.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
So if you live in a
certain part of town, you know
in nashville, and and you've had, say, a certain amount of
success, you don't feel like youneed to be driving 50 minutes
to your co-writer you know umyou want to come out of your
bubble, yeah, but anyway, butyou're, you know, you're still,
you know, trying to write witheverybody and and be a pleaser
I'm a pleaser by nature, youknow and I'm with a new
publisher and Red Street MusicPublishing Jada Marcus, kelly
(05:28):
King, amanda Rich.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
I talked to Jay about
this.
By the way, How'd you drawLorde Shout out?
Speaker 1 (05:32):
But anyway, but you
go to, you know you get to the
right and I looked on my bookand I knew the names, you know.
I thought hey, say that hewon't do it, but anyway, you
know one of them it was a coupleartists and another writer.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
To the artists are
they?
This is important today.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Well, I think he's
going to get to what your
question is going to be.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
Well, no, no, I'm
going to ask, but seriously, are
the artists that have been atradio?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
uh-huh, okay, one one
ass, dual, dual artist, right?
Yeah, well, you know you haveartists of different levels.
You know that have stuff outthere that are doing you know
they're all writing together.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Now everybody's just
one happy co-write but anyway.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
So so I, I went ahead
when I drove, okay, and and I
thought you know what I'll do it, it looks good on the book.
And uh, I drove out there I wasthinking about ideas, but when
I got there and I was, you know,complimentary, I said well, I
said we obviously got enoughtalent in the room.
So my question is who are wewriting for?
and he just kind of looked at meand said what do you mean?
He said we got two artists.
(06:38):
You both got record deals andyou're not a duo.
Who are we?
We're writing for you, or you?
Can you please tell me who they?
Speaker 5 (06:43):
are.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
No, Come on.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
Caleb, don't be rude.
No, he's not going to do it,he's not going to do it.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
What did they say?
Speaker 5 (06:48):
to this what songs
have they sung?
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Then the first one
said oh man, hoss, I just
dropped a record in January, ohno.
And the other guy said yeah, Ijust released mine.
This is like two weeks ago.
And I said so why are we here?
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Did you really say
that?
And they said oh man we canjust write something and I'm
like yeah let's just writesomething for fun, that rhymes
you know Now you gotta explainto people, because if you don't
have a target that you just,it's hard to write like that.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Well, the thing is
it's a blessing if you get in
the room with artists.
The thing is, if they justreleased records, it's going to
be a minimum of a year beforethey even start recording, oh
minimum.
So whatever we write that day, even if it's great, it'll be
completely forgotten about bythe time they come around again.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
And they won't sing
the demo.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
So, just as a
straight-up writer, you're like
today is somewhat meaningless.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
It was you two
artists of unknown name and,
dare I say, someone doing atrack.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Yeah, okay, yeah, but
the track person was really
good and the song was reallygood.
It really was.
It was just where's it going.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
What's the track
guy's name?
It wasn't a track guy.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
It was a track girl.
What's her name?
I'm not going to tell you.
She's really good, though whois it?
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I'm not going to tell
you she's really good.
Give her a shout out.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
No she's great.
Give her a shout out.
She's great.
But your point to all this is asong is now in purgatory.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
It's floating Most
likely, now it, and then you
have to build yourself up on theway back home.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
It's like a short uh
hour and a half drive.
You're only going 20 miles.
Um, but to get back home, thinking well we that's.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
That's a good song,
well, and so it happened again
yesterday, and today.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Well, monday, that
that was monday.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Friday was the exact
same wrote with a duo that I've
been trying to write with for acouple years and I did get.
I'd got in with them and, uh,right after they had put the
record out, and great guys, great guys, and that was fun too
.
So I got to meet them and now Ido think you have to explain,
because people say oh you're,you get to write songs, that's
(08:57):
great.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
But this is a
business for us and you do need
to have a strategy on everyright yeah for us.
And you do need to have astrategy on every right yeah.
So you're hoping when you'regoing to a right, especially
with an artist hey, we got analbum coming out in six months.
We're, this is what we'reshooting for.
Yeah, it's really hard forsongwriters just to be like
let's just write a song and Idon't know, let's just see what
(09:20):
ends up with it.
It's just really hard to get asong cut like that.
This is our business, that'show we make money.
To just say I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
It's frustrating,
yeah, and it's much more
exciting for the whole room.
If somebody says hey, man,we're going in, we're going to
cut three more things in twoweeks, then ever the whole room
is like this is great, this is agreat opportunity.
So I'm going to look and findthe best ideas possible.
But when you know that they'renot going in for a year and a
half, the first thing I did is Ijust thought well, that ain't
(09:51):
going to be my idea.
Yeah, I'm not pitching one.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Same scenario.
I'm not pitching Now.
I'll try my best with theiridea and it did.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
It worked out great.
But you're not going to burnone because not going to get
recorded.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
By that, by those
that act.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Right Interesting
weekend you've had.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yeah, yeah, so just
kind of spilled over a lot of
driving.
I forgot, I actually forgotwhen did you drive?
Speaker 4 (10:15):
to or can you give
that?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
away Today.
One was Sylvan park, and onewas.
Franklin on Friday.
That was that was.
And one was Franklin on Friday.
That was easier.
At least you're close to home.
At least your failure was closeto home.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
And then West
Nashville and then East
Nashville, East Nashville, Neil, you said what a coffee shop it
reminded me of right before wewent on, like sometimes we have
well, actually we never havebullet points of what to talk
about.
And I was saying has anybodygot something we want to start
with?
And Neil's like who cares, let's just talk, it ain't live.
(10:50):
No, and it actually reminded meof a great story.
Tully, you want to tell thestory?
Speaker 5 (10:55):
What year was this?
Oh, I'm bad at that game.
I'm going to say 2012.
I think it's somewhere nearthere.
So we were doing um americanidol when it was at its height.
So we were doing don't you wantto stay with kelly clarkson,
right, yeah, yeah, huge song, really big moment, because I
think the viewership on thatshow was insane.
(11:17):
It was like 70 million a weekor some crazy ridiculous.
So we play live, live, and Idon't think people realize that
a lot of times a lot of bands ontv don't play live.
We've always played live, you're right most people might
not realize.
They don't realize that theythis you know, most bands are
miming or faking yeah, it's,it's a track, yeah yeah, yeah.
(11:40):
So we get up there and you read, check, and then I remember this
very it's very funny to mebecause we'd sound check and
this is a big moment.
And then we go to the greenroom, our dressing room, for
like five hours it feels likeRich Redman, our fantastic
drummer, falls asleep, takes anap.
We go out and all of a suddenit's like rush, you're rushed.
(12:04):
So you go out 10 minutes toAldine.
We go out and all of a suddenit's like rush, you're rushed.
So you go out 10 minutes to LD.
And so we run out there andwe're checking our amps and
they're in commercial break.
So they're in commercial break,got a minute 30.
It's counting down and andJack's amp, our second guitar
player, it isn't working, there's nothing coming out of
his amp and our tour manager atthe time, tim mccormick god rest
(12:27):
his soul goes ah jack, don'tworry about it, there's a tape
delay.
It's not live live, it's a tapedelay.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
We're like okay, cool
yeah, it's live to tape, which
for people in the you know, notin the industry it means you're
recording in basic live form butit's going out later that night
so he goes.
Don't worry, it's live to tapeand they're going a minute 30
seconds we're like, okay, cool, you know whatever.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
And jack's like, oh
fine.
And all of a sudden like, andwe heard that sound of jack's
amp.
And then they count down five, four and we start playing and
we're like, oh, that's cool, thank god, you know good, jack's
amp came on, we'd have.
Thank god, you know, it's good, jack sam came on, we'd have to
stop, you know.
And so we play the performance.
It was great.
We get off stage and our phonesare blowing up.
(13:12):
You guys killed it, you didgreat.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
And we're like wait a
minute yeah it was live, live
and we were just kind of sittingaround going, oh it's okay, if
they count down, we'll be fine,we'll you know, they'll have to
stop.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
Yeah, we're like,
well, if it doesn't work, we'll
just say no, stop.
I know, you know.
So our tour manager was like ah, don't worry, it's live to take
.
That's funny, it was, and we'relike messing with Jack Sam or
trying to get it to work and itwould have been you think Jim's,
(13:46):
we think we're live right nowand Jim's been all right.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
There's Jim I can
share.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
Speaking of playing
the tracks like, I don't think
people realize that, either onaward shows or whatever, I mean
we've 99.9% always played live.
You know Jason wants it.
Most people don't most peopledon't most people don't and it's
, you know, I I don't know, Ijust I think it's.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
I think it's
interesting because it's a
security blanket for most yeah, and really I mean honestly it's
that.
I mean I get it.
If you don't, I get that well.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
What they don't
realize, though, is is when you
don't play live, you'regenerally playing to like a
track that's been pretty wellmanipulated to be close to
perfect, and so when, when, whenyour artist is singing to it,
you know they're singing liveand you're in the band's faking
to an almost perfect track, andso there's no live feel for the
(14:48):
artist.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
I wonder if there's
any country artist that have had
a Milli Vanilli moment where hegot stuck.
Has that ever happened to acountry?
Act that?
Speaker 4 (14:56):
y'all know of.
No, I don't know.
It's a good question, but it'sfunny.
When the Milli Vanilli thingcame out that was like unheard
of.
Oh, there was a track and itwas like it's actually really is
.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yeah, and when you,
when you guys play light like a
televised thing, it's, it'sgotta be different than when
you're on the road and you'vegot all your stuff and it's all
your guys so.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
so producers of the
show push most acts to do it to
a track because it's a fail-safe.
(15:38):
It's always going well and time.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah, it's exactly on
time.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
You're not going to
have our American Idol moments
where, oh my God, it doesn'twork.
So they kind of push them, butJason and the management, to
their credit, have always saidno, we're playing live, that's
our thing.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
well, it makes it's,
it's makes jason more
comfortable, and it's also livemusic and all its beautiful
imperfections, along with with alive vocal.
So the first thing we do ataward shows is go find the list
of people playing live.
It is, and we always, we alwaysknow, we know who it's going to
be.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
It's us, it's miranda
miranda always, her band always
plays live.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
You know stapleton,
you know plays live.
Yeah, you know like, and youknow who's not going to play
live.
You can you know before you'regetting there.
So it's it.
That's always kind of a sweetmoment, yeah, and I love it
because you see the guys notplaying live and they're dressed
.
You can always tell who's notplaying live Easy to tell.
I can pick that off, causethey're dressed in like in like
(16:37):
long leather coats and scarvesand things that you could never
play live in.
Yeah, you know what I mean.
So it's, it's always fun andthen they'll and then we have a
good time later.
Kind of trolling the Instagramposts when, when.
Kind of trolling the Instagramposts when, when the other
players are like playing theawards tonight and we're like no
, you're not, you know who youare.
You know who you are.
(16:58):
Uh, I don't have any problemsaying that either.
I mean it's not but to theircredit though, it's not the
players call no, that's what I'msaying.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
They get brushed by
producers producers, really
because they want a show that'stightly run.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
But it is a player's
call when they post playing the
awards tonight.
Not so fast Playing the awards, but you can always tell they
got a scarf and a long coat andsome sort of crazy hat over
their eyes and gloves on.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, gloves.
Speaker 5 (17:31):
Playing guitars with
gloves on gloves hey funny story
about gloves though it'sreminiscing night here, uh, 2004
.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
we're out in vegas.
You're good at that game, likewho at our age is good at that.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
I don't know how you
do it, I because I, because my
life is chapters and I remembercertain chapters, a lot of
chapters.
He's got a tattoo on hisforearm, he's got his whole,
yeah we got a playbook righthere.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Now we're in vegas,
we're playing, we're with al
dean the first, and I remembercertain chapters.
It's a lot of chapters.
He's got it tattooed on hisforearm, he's got his whole-.
Yeah, I got a playbook righthere.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
No, we're in Vegas,
we're playing.
We're with Aldine.
Their first album has not comeout yet.
It's cut but it's not out.
No one knows who we are.
We're at the Nationals FinalsRodeo in Las Vegas.
Yeah, december, um, it'sfreezing cold 20 degrees, 25
degrees.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
And everybody thinks
Vegas is warm year round.
It's not.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
No, we were out there
.
And we're playing on the stepsof the arena outside and
literally, uh, me, kurt, jasonand Rich, two little speakers,
you know like you're in a bar,and people are just kind of
walking around us and we'replaying Amarillo sky, we're
playing why?
We're playing Johnny Cash,we're playing Hicktown, and no
one even knows what they'relistening to.
(18:36):
And they're literally walkingaround us and it is so cold.
Kurt has gloves on and he'skicking, he's killing it.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
I'm like well, I
don't know if I was killing it.
How is he?
Speaker 5 (18:46):
playing the guitar
with gloves on.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
I was like nobody's
listening.
Nobody's listening.
I was like nobody's listening.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
Nobody's listening.
It was so cold and then it mustbe a thing with Vegas for us,
because we have a long historywith Vegas.
But we go out years later to dothe Johnny Cash video for the
second record and it snowed andwe did the video out there and
it was the coldest video.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
Oh, it was so cold
and they got a place in Vegas
they call it the graveyard wherewe did the video, and it's
where all of the old neon signsthat have been taken down.
They put them all in this onespot, so all from like the old
Vegas buildings and casinos, that's where they all are.
Speaker 5 (19:24):
It's really cool,
that's cool.
See you remember that?
I didn't remember that.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
You're firing buddy.
You got it, I ain't firing.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
You got some spark
plugs still in there.
Cobb, cobb.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Oh, Cobb.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Well, so you're
talking about Vegas and last
time we talked a little bitabout flying private and stuff
like that.
But it may surprise a lot ofyou guys to know that we
sometimes fly commercial.
How are you guys feeling aboutflying commercial?
There's been a lot of stuffhappening.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
There was another
thing today.
Another thing today.
What happened, are you?
Speaker 1 (19:54):
serious.
Yeah, it was a Southwest plane.
What?
Speaker 5 (19:57):
happened.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Today, which I'm not
sure when this will air, but it
was today and everything endedup being okay.
But it was to the credit of thecrew of Southwest that saw, I
think, a private plane comingfrom the side and they were
landing, and so they pulled upand you know, yes, they
literally touched down on therunway.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
descending, got to
the runway, saw a plane that was
crossing, that was going totake off.
Speaker 5 (20:21):
So what plane was
landing?
Southwest plane, the big plane?
Yes, okay.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
And literally saw the
plane in front of them going
this way and he wheeled back up.
What is going on?
Speaker 1 (20:35):
D-E e uh I don't know
I don't know, but it's a lot.
And then one of the deltaplanes filled up with smoke, you
know like, uh, and then they, they deplaned, and that was
today or yesterday that justfilled up with smoke and they
all went out on the runway andyou can see people.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
It's weird, they're
just kind of there's a bunch of
unqualified people at thecontrols, but that that's what
I'm going with.
I'm going to go with that.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
It might be kind of
random too, you know, like out
in the country, like if somebodydies, then somebody else dies,
you can hear the old countrypeople saying I hope I'm not in
this group because things happenjust kind of in circles a
little bit.
So sometimes it's just thesethings are happening, you know,
and then it'll probably go awayfor a while.
But I don't know, I'm drivingjust kind of interesting but
your question was how do we feelabout flying?
yeah, because we have to do it.
(21:15):
You have to.
It's not like we're gonna.
For the most part, we don'tthough we don't we don't.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
I mean we are.
We want to be on that bus, andI'm not saying that traveling on
the roads is safer.
I don't even know what thestatistics would be, but we
would much rather be on the bus.
Like totally, you'll say thisit doesn't matter if we're
coming from New York city backto Nashville and you can get
there in two hour flight.
Now give us a 20 hour bus ride.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
Anytime.
Yeah, and we've, and we'refortunate enough to fly private
a lot and bypass commercial.
And still like, give me, giveme the long bus ride.
Yeah, give commercial.
And still like, give me, giveme the long bus ride, yeah, give
me, give me it.
It's we're creatures, we'vebeen on the road for so long
that and, and we travel prettycomfortable.
I mean, it's the band on a buswith a security guy and you know
(22:02):
so it's it's great.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Do you like the bus?
Oh, I do, I love.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
I drive most
everywhere now yeah, for neil
and I just to cut down onoverhead.
We like to take like a suburbantahoe.
Uh, neil likes to drive, so soI think neil has more miles on
my tahoe than I have yep, I liketo drive, I'm a control on
corporate shows and I like toride, you know, so uh yeah, who
drives?
Neil does.
(22:27):
He doesn't like it when when Idrive makes him nervous like a
thelma and Louise thing.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
You guys have A
little bit I don't mind, kind of
I don't mind.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
I'm a born follower,
so I don't care.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
He sits back and goes
through his emails.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
Yeah, I can do a lot
of stuff.
I was about to say what's theconversation like on the road
trips.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Well, you know, it's
like you and lana, 30 years I
mean they don't, they hadn'tsaid a word in 10 years?

Speaker 5 (23:57):

Speaker 2 (23:59):
This was not my idea.
It was my wife's idea.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Well, of course we
know it was.
I hope it's a candle.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
But this is the first
time that we've been back down

Speaker 4 (24:15):

We're going to need Ed to weighin, though, because I do trust

Taylor, what do you
think about Cornhole?
No, too close to home.
Speaking of Cornhole, I've gota story.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Do you want to tell a
story.
No, I'm kidding, no, I'm justkidding.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
I thought we were
leading in.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
I don't know it's a
perfect segue.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Speaking of Cornhole
last talk, you were telling us
about.
Speaking of Cobb.
No, you were telling us a storyabout a-.
Okay, let's just get to thestory.
You were in a vitamin store.
What happened?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Well, it was a long
time ago.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
How long ago.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
I didn't know, it was
probably Three or four days,
two months, yes, three or fourweeks ago, no, it was a few
years ago, and I was at a healthstore and I was asking the lady
who worked there.
And I was there all the time, you know.
So I asked the lady, I said hey, I said I don't want to get
something for like a pre-workout, just to have more energy and
(27:58):
stuff like that.
And uh, and I said so what doyou think?
Do you, would you recommendanything?
And she said she didn't reallyknow.
And she said she goes, but shegoes, she's one of our customers
, uh, rob, so he's all about.
I said he'll be able to tellyou.
And I said, oh, great, so itwas real close to closing time,
you know he was.
They closed at nine.
It was like it was like eight,45 or whatever.
(28:18):
And so so he comes over and uh,and real nice guy.
And uh, he said uh, he said hesaid yeah, what, what, what kind
of question?
You got to say I was lookingfor just a little bit more
energy, a little pre-workoutthing, you know, as opposed to
the post.
And I heard that's really good, you know, get you.
You know, get you ready andburn more calories and build
more muscle and stuff like that.
And he goes, he goes, yeah, hegoes.
What kind of, what kind ofworkout you doing?
(28:39):
And I said uh.
I said I said well, right nowI'm doing like a body for life
thing, but I go, you know, backa little bit and he just kind of
looks at me.
I mean I wish our listenerswere actually watching, because
this is kind of a physical storyI can tell.
But he says he kind of looksback and kind of head-toed and
(28:59):
he goes man, I can just tell youwhatever you're doing is
working, but just kind of likethat.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
That's a compliment.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
No, and I said thanks
, I lit up like a Christmas tree
.
He goes, I tell you what, yourarms look pretty big and I had a
shirt just like this on and at-shirt just like this and I
said well, they're not reallythat big.
And he goes, no, and he reachesover and he just kind of grabs
(29:28):
my arm, just kind of unflexed.
Did you flex, though?
No, no.
It's a natural reaction.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
He doesn't have to.
He's tight, he's tight.
He doesn't have to.
He's tight, he's tight.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
I fought against it.
I was going to.
Speaker 5 (29:41):
You wanted to.
Of course I did.
It's a natural reaction.
Of course it is.
Hey did it move.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
No, you're talking
about the bicep.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Yes, no, but he said
he goes, man, he goes.
Let me take a look at that.
I he goes, let me take a lookat that I said what do you mean?
He goes.
I mean you got a t-shirt onErnie and I'm thinking are you
serious, like right here?
Speaker 3 (30:05):
between the protein
and the amino acids.
Is it GNC?
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Now I don't know if I
should say what store it was.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
It wasn't a GNC.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
It doesn't matter
what store it is it was a
vitamin store, a vitaminstore-ish Vitamin Vitamin shop,
sorry, yeah.
Speaker 5 (30:15):
So anyway so what
does he look like?
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Normal, just a guy.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
Normal.
What does that mean?
Speaker 1 (30:21):
He's in shape He'd
look like any one of you guys.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Yeah, Just-.
Well, I mean, I have really bigbiceps.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
so you know, for
those of you only, listening, I
have huge biceps.
Okay, so so anyway.
So I said so like right here hegoes yeah, it's just us.
And I'm thinking he's right,it's just us.
And so I kind of slowly workedit off the shoulder and then
flex it and kind of like yourdad, you know, when you make a
(30:47):
muscle and you're a little kidand he goes, did he make that
noise.
No, but that's kind of what hedid.
He goes, wow, he goes, man, I'mtelling you he goes.
I, he goes, man, I'm tellingyou he goes.
I can recommend something foryou, but I just keep doing what
you're doing.
He goes.
But I tell you what me and mybuddy if you want to change
things up a little bit he saidme and my buddy have been doing
(31:07):
something and it's really cutinto our cardio.
We're cutting calories likecrazy.
He said it's really great.
I said what are you guys doing?
Speaker 5 (31:16):
He goes, he goes.
Well, we're wrestling and Isaid no, he didn't Dude.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
I mean, you can't,
you honestly can't make this up.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Okay, I said, oh,
wrestling, yeah, I said, I said
I did that like I was in juniorhigh Wasn't that great, you know
.
But is just wrestling pads Withmud, with oil, maybe oils, I
don't know, but anyway he goes,he goes.
Yeah, we get down there forhours and we just wrestle.
(31:42):
And I said, wow, did you?
Speaker 4 (31:44):
go.
No, that's when At what point Iwas going to say, at what?
Speaker 1 (31:48):
point do you go?
Speaker 4 (31:49):
oh no, that's when.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
I started thinking oh
, he wants to hold me, yeah he
wants to hold me, he wants totake you down.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
I realized this.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
So I said you know
what?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
I'm probably good.
I mean, I live a good pieceaway from here.
He goes whereabouts.
I said oh, way over the hill, anyway.
So I got to the register andeverything and I was just trying
to distance myself from him.
Meanwhile I'm looking at thelady, this guy you've had to
know, you've known him for years, the guy that's trying to pick
me up it can't be the first timeit's like your own little.
(32:22):
Pulp.
Fiction moment but it doesn'tstop there, so it's just us two.
And he's behind me at theregister and the door is the
door to get out is behind alsoand he goes.
And, as I'm kind of squirrelingaround, he goes.
Hey, man, is that your Tahoeout there?
And I is behind also and hegoes.
And as I'm kind of squirrelingaround, he goes, he goes.
Hey man, he goes, uh, he goes,is that your tahoe out there?
And I said, and I said, I saidI said yeah, and I had old o2
(32:44):
tahoe, gold one, and um, he goes, he goes.
Man, I tell you what he goes,he goes.
Yeah, you want to arm wrestleor something we can arm wrestle
no, and I said I don't know how.
Why would we arm wrestle?
I don't know why we'd, becausegoes, yeah, we could do it like
you had a console, we could armwrestle over your console.
And then I started panicking.
I'm like no, my basset hound'sout there and he'll freak out.
He'll freak out, he's in thefront seat and everything.
(33:06):
I gotta go anyway.
And so I went out and startedand left.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
I'm sorry, but that's
like.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
It was like okay,
when I'm walking out, is he
running behind me?
I don't know.
I didn't want to hurt hisfeelings, you know how that goes
.
You think you could have takenhim?
Speaker 2 (33:23):
I'm talking about arm
wrestling.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Maybe, so I'm going
to blame this on you.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Because you must have
put out a vibe or something.
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
No, you took your
shirt off, I didn't.
Speaker 5 (33:43):
No, I didn didn't.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
No, I didn't take my
shirt off just way inside.
You kind of showed it over theshoulder, and I had a very
tasteful t-shirt on, just likethe one I'm wearing tonight but
then you flex for him.
Yeah, I know, I know thatthat's the first time I did, but
it wasn't a full, it was kindof like ah, there it is.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
You know, it was just
uh, what's interesting is you
kind of distance yourself, andthen he came back, and then he
came back.
He came, but yes, I wasn hecame back.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Yes, I wasn't, you
know, yeah, pursuing that.
And I think at that point he'sthinking, okay, I'm not going to
wrestle him, but I would liketo touch his hand so we could at
least arm wrestle Anyway.
So that was my, that was anencounter.
I mean, I would take it as acompliment.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
Yeah, I did feel
pretty decent about it it lifted
me up a little bit too.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
No, I mean Kalo.
You know what I mean.
It's a good thing, yeah.
And then I started feeling bad.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
I started thinking he
probably has no one.
It's around the holidays,Probably has nobody, you know.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
And You're such a
giving people person.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Yeah, I'm surprised
you actually didn't arm wrestle.
I don't think I gave my number?
Speaker 1 (34:34):
I probably didn't.
I don't think he gave my number.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
I don't think I did?
Speaker 1 (34:40):
I don't think I did.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
Yeah, anyway, that's
pretty good Not that there's
anything wrong with that Ofcourse not.
What.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
That's a Seinfeld
thing.
I'm always going to shut thatdown.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
I'm always going to
shut it.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
It's a Seinfeld thing
, I'll shut it down Seinfeld's a
show years ago yeah jerryseinfeld, the comedian, was in.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
It does remind me of
a time when we were in salt lake
city, though I don't know if weshould tell that story or not
tell it why not.
Oh, you and those two guys andall the I mean, it isn't
anything, no other than this wasa long time, very long time ago
, and we used to, you know it'slike okay we were in our phase
of like, hey, let's just let'splay our show and then go have
(35:20):
some fun.
Let's go to a bar and we'll havea drink.
Yeah, so we had heard.
No, actually I think it wasrich redmond said he saw a bar
across the street from where wewere playing.
It's like, from what Iunderstand, somebody told me
today this is where you need togo for after the show.
It's where everybody hangs out.
So we do our show, we go overthere.
(35:41):
There's a line to get in.
We're like, oh yeah, that'skind of hopping.
So we were going in and we'regoing upstairs and we're like
god, a lot of dudes here.
Speaker 5 (35:51):
I don't know, it's
sausage fest a lot of guys here
tonight?
Why is?
Speaker 4 (35:55):
there only guys here?
And then there was a lot ofguys there tonight.
Why is there only guys here?
And then there was a lot ofguys there A lot of guys, and
then we realized there were onlyguys there.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
And they saw y'all
walk in and they saw us all walk
in with coiffed hair.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
Oh yeah, Our show
clothes on.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Yeah, we got our
first drink for free.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Those show clothes.
That's Ted Ringer.
He says those guys are justlike us.
Yeah, he had a ringer.
He says those guys are justlike us, we show clothes.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
And again not that
there's anything wrong with that
.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
We did take the first
free drink, and then we left,
then we left.
Speaker 5 (36:27):
Most of us left.
I don't know what Redmond did,but I'm kidding.
Rich will kill me if he hearsthat.
Strike that from the record Jim.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
No, no, no, no.
We didn't see him for about amonth, but Rich came home late.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
I mean I don't know
when he came home late.
I mean that's good, kalo, whatdo you mean?
What do you mean that was yourstory.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
You wrote it out.
No, I didn't ride it out.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Let's be clear.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
It was touch and go,
no.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Oh my God, Nope
wasn't touch and go.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
Anyway, I don't even
know where you go to that.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Well, let's talk
about Keystone Pipeline.
Wow, just right to anotherstory.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Yeah, just cold
turkey right into it, pipeline
to another One pipeline toanother.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Speaking of pipelines
, I think yeah, neil was talking
about it.
Right, trump's getting thatgoing again, trying to get it
approved and everything whichwill help the economy and energy
and things like that.
Right, it's a positive thing.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Do you have something
to say about the Keystone
Pipeline?
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Well, I don't know if
Neil wanted to start it.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
No, you're talking
about when you were out here, we
were playing golf.
No, you were playing golf.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Well, yeah, you golf.
Well, yeah, what, you had someguests out here, you have some
guests.
It was a, it was a benefit andI don't think were we on the
same scramble team or were youahead?
Speaker 2 (37:43):
you're ahead of me,
right?
Yeah so anyway, so we're withthese guys but they're replacing
the, the gas line, the hugeline that runs through this
whole property.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
It's huge, it's
gigantic yeah, and I didn't, I
didn't really know, I just knewthat there it was, it was a big
line, that's all I knew, huge,right.
And so these guys, we're, we'reon the.
The second hole for us, whichactually was, was whole, uh, 10.
Yeah, it was actually our firsthole.
So we're on the green and we'regoing between 10 and 11 and
there's a huge, huge pipe.
It wasn't to me, it wasn't a,it wasn't a gas line, it was
(38:12):
huge.
And so, uh, it's the guys thatsaid, man, what, what's that
right there?
And I, I said, well, that'sKeystone Pipeline.
And they said, for real, Ithought they closed that down.
And everything.
No way I said that's what Ithought too and I said, but it's
running right through here.
I said the developer here.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
You went with it Did
you go with it.
Oh yeah, you went with it.
He said screw it.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
They're taking
pictures.
They were taking pictures and Iwas sending it to them later.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
Wait a minute, are
you?
Speaker 1 (38:41):
being serious?
Speaker 4 (38:42):
Yes, are these your
own?
Speaker 1 (38:44):
men.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
And then later I told
Neil I said well, I showed
those guys.
I said they had time of theirlives.
I showed them the KeystonePipeline and everything he goes,
keystone Pipeline.
Neil said you didn't say that, did you?
And I said, yeah, he goes, that's the colonial pipeline.
I said really, and so I do.
(39:08):
That night I'm like hey guys, Imight have had a small, small
discretion there they're takingpictures.
Hold on, because they've alreadysent it to their family and all
their friends, and it lookslike I made a tiny mistake.
Hold on, so did you actuallythink?
Speaker 4 (39:21):
it was a Keystone
Pipeline.
There she is boys, I thoughtthat you were PSing them.
No, I didn't know.
You thought the Keystone.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
Pipeline ran down
Right through the neighborhood
here, Possibly.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
Yep, kalo Kalo.
You're a smart individual.
It's a long pipeline.
It's a long pipeline, you'rekidding.
Speaker 5 (39:40):
You didn't think that
?
Speaker 1 (39:40):
No, I did.
That's what I told them.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
You thought the
Keystone Pipeline was running
through down here.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Somebody told me that
or I heard it or I misheard it.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
I thought it was a
funnier story you telling them,
because you knew it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
No, I'm sorry guys.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
I like the segue from
the vitamin store to the deck.
I like the way I thought aboutit better.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Me too Like you were
messing with him, maybe I was, I
don't know what to believe.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
That's amazing, oh my
God.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
The key's so
blank-blank.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Yeah, who knew, who
knew, I'm not an old guy.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Hey guys, I do need
to ask you this because I think
it's serious.
Okay, Cobb's getting serious.
Uh-oh, Everybody everybody.
Yeah, that might stick, I don'tknow.
Speaker 5 (40:23):
It's always stuck,
dude it may or may not.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
I shook out some info
there, Cobb.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
I'm going to send you
an email later tonight.
You do need to report to mefive things you've done in the
last week.
Speaker 5 (40:37):
Okay, nice, okay,
nice.
Okay, all right, okay why arepeople getting mad about that?
Speaker 4 (40:44):
anyway, anybody that
doesn't know, elon, here's what
I'm going to say For all thefederal employees.
Like just say five thingsyou've done in the last week.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
I had a conversation
this morning with my neighbor,
which is rare because I havegood neighbors, but I don't like
to get too close to theneighbors.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
I know Well, I mean
that's okay, they're good people
.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
Anyway, the neighbors
directly across the street are
really good people.
They're, you know, um they, oh,yeah, they do and I gave him
some cash swag and you knowthey're.
They love the podcast and wewere talking about some of this
stuff and I said you know, here's what gets me.
(41:23):
The great thing about thiscountry is that every four years
, you get to go out and vote forwho you want to be president,
and I let your voice be heard.
What we need, what we need todo, is for everybody to go out
and vote and do vote who youwant to vote for.
That's great, but when theresults are in and you got a
president for four years, that'swhat's.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
That's what it's
going to be and, by the way,
root for your president, nomatter who.
Speaker 5 (41:44):
It's great, but just
when, when, whoever it is gets
elected, it's time to likesomewhat, come together, it's
it's.
We can't last four years.
You know, look when Biden wasin.
By no means was I a Biden fan,by no means.
Speaker 4 (42:01):
However, I still
respect the presidency and you
want the country to do well, nomatter what.
Speaker 5 (42:07):
Everybody.
Yeah, if you know we want it todo well, we don't want it to
fail or things to be bad.
I just feel like we all need toget back to that where, like,
go out and vote, but if itdoesn't go your way, you got to
move on.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Can I tell you
something?
You were talking about cashswag and we're talking about our
friend Cash Patel, who's nowthe new FBI director, which
we're proud of him and we'rethankful he's there.
So I didn't even realize justyesterday I had the sweatshirt
on, didn't even realize justyesterday I had the sweatshirt
on says fight with cash.
I didn't even realize I had iton, I don't even think about it.
(42:45):
I was gonna sound whatever.
But I've been trying to thinkabout an addition to the house,
just doing a little, whatever, man cave yes, where are you
going to do it of?
Speaker 5 (42:53):
where are you off
your other man cave?
Speaker 4 (42:55):
yeah, off the other
man cave.
Second man cave.
This is for you the girl mancave, just Second man cave.
This is for you the grown mancave, just in case you need a
place to sleep.
Speaker 5 (43:03):
Like a crying room
for your husband.
Okay, Anyway.
Speaker 4 (43:06):
So the guy, the
contractor, comes over and I go
to meet him and he looks at meand he goes.
He looks at my sweatshirt, helooks at the side, he says don't
(43:27):
tread on me, it's that thing, and he goes.
He just gives me one of those.
Speaker 1 (43:29):
Well, and immediately
for those of you listening, the
man cave are you serious?
Speaker 5 (43:31):
oh, I'm serious.
The man cave den.
That that's what I mean.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
He didn't like it, he
didn't like your shirt, bro,
when I say he didn't like it.
It was the end of the.
It was the end of thediscussion and that dude swings
a hammer yeah, I know I wasactually whoever heard of?
That I was actually surprised.
But he gave me an up and downand I was like, oh, I actually
looked.
(43:53):
I was like, oh really, and itwas the end of it well, wow,
that, that's what I'm talkingabout.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
That's amazing, this
is so ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (44:01):
You know everybody's
got a right, as an american, to
vote who they want to vote for, think how they want to think
absolutely the days of the daysof people feeling like it's okay
to do that to you and he'sturning down money, a job it's
like I don't even get that.
Speaker 4 (44:16):
I would never hire a
liberal to do an addition on my
house Ever.
Well, apparently they wouldn'thire a conservative.
Speaker 2 (44:21):
I would never hire a
liberal who supposedly swings a
hammer.
I would never do it.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
Now one reason why,
Like why wouldn't you hire a
liberal?
Let's say they're the best.
Well, this dude right here hasgot to be that's a good bit.
Why wouldn't you hire a liberal?
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Let's say they're the
best this dude right here.
I mean I'm like he's got to bethe only freaking lib contractor
in America.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
I was really taken
aback, I really was.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
I'm surprised too,
because it's such a blue collar.
Yeah, you know, I just find itridiculous that look, it's like
when someone wears a you know ahat the red hat.
This is america.
This is america.
I'm sorry, you know, reallybizarre, like if you didn't vote
(45:10):
for trump.
I'm sorry that your side didn'twin, but it's time to like,
okay, well, gosh, I'm not sorry,we're gonna sorry, yeah, but if
(45:31):
you're them, we'll get themnext time.
Like, do I mean?
All I'm really seeing is awhole bunch of crying far left
libs, and it's like.
My advice to them is to Iwouldn't focus so much on trump
and elon and cash and everyoneyou don't like, christy gnome
and everyone that's rubbing youwrong.
I would.
I would concentrate on who doyou have coming up in four years
?
Yeah, cause they don't have ananswer for it still.
They're still they're stillfocused on what they can't
change.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
What they don't like.
Speaker 5 (45:51):
So focus on how to
figure out how you lost.
If you, if you, if you want towin, I don't know I'm I'm
confused by them.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
Yeah Well, you do
have to think it's the left
would say to your point ofsaying saying, hey, you know,
you know your, your person, didn't win, so just kind of pray
for them and get them in fouryears they would say it's easy
for us to say that because ourteam won Right, but none of us
were hoping that Biden did bador Obama did bad.
(46:21):
I wasn't thinking about that,like my guy didn't win, but I
was praying for that president.
Speaker 4 (46:26):
I don't want.
I want America to be safe.
Speaker 5 (46:29):
There's your
difference right there.
But their team's won more thanour team in the last 20 years.
So they had a little dynastygoing.
Little Pats dynasty going had alittle Alabama going for a
while.
Speaker 1 (46:42):
A little Saban Looks
like that's over.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
See how they compared
your football team to Alabama.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
They're putting out
the Alabama thing on Netflix to
build it back up, because theseason is so good.
Speaker 4 (46:52):
Hey, what is it?
It's really good.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
I mean it's supposed
to be really good, but it's a
Netflix thing?
Speaker 2 (46:56):
No, I haven't seen it
yet.
It's on Fox Nation.
Do you guys agree though?
Speaker 5 (47:00):
Oh, totally agree.
Seriously, it's getting old.
It's like mainstream media andeverybody is like look you're
just dividing it more.
Speaker 4 (47:12):
A thousand percent.
I don't know if it's ever.
I hope it gets better.
I don't know if it's going toget better.
Speaker 5 (47:16):
I was hoping it would
but maybe after things, maybe
the dust settles in six monthsor whatever it just shows you
what hate does Somebody.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
That's all it shows.
If you fester hate, let itfester and fester and fester.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
Fester's a great word
, but I love that word.
You want to be called fester?
No, uncle fester, ed don.
You want me to be called Fester?
No, no, cobb's good, uncleFester, fester's not bad.
I mean, I'll be glad.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Ed, don't you even
think Fester's going to work.
Fester or Festus.
Speaker 4 (47:46):
I'd rather Festus
than Fester.
Okay, for some reason.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
But if you let hate
fester and you don't try to I
agree you snowballs.
Speaker 5 (48:04):
Oh, yeah, yeah, it
does and it just builds up and
you become this freaking shellof a person.
That's classic thrash talk, like in a good way, because I
think people, that's what I'mtalking about.
Though, like none of us, thetwo sides don't agree.
When biden was in, look, hedidn't love it.
It wasn't great.
There's some terrible decisions, but, look, everybody needs to
pull for everybody at the end ofthe day, I agree If you won't
take the time to learn what'sgoing on.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
there's so much hate
in their hearts and everything
else they won't take the time to.
You know what?
Let's look at what he's doing,or what he's trying to do to the
country.
They won't even take the timeto do it.
They're done, it's over.
Speaker 5 (48:37):
I will admit to this.
So I, you know, I look at, youknow, fox news I also.
I also look at cnn and I say, okay, well, here's the two sides
generally, generally it lies inthe middle, like both sides,
but I, but I look at both sidesof the news.
I look at both sides and makesure I'm not missing something.
They would never do that.
(48:59):
And if every time I've tried tohave a rational conversation
with a, with a far left person, you cannot reason with them, you
can't get them to even listento you.
I don't know what.
I don't know what to tell them.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Well, it's because
and the reason is because they
look at you or or me, or Neil orKurt, whoever's talking as a
dumbass redneck, and sometimesit's just the way we talk.
It's not what we say, it's howwe say it, and they just listen
to your dialect and where you'refrom.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
That's right, you
should have talked to that guy
in that vitamin store.
He really knows something.
Hey, when you were in thatvitamin store, you should have
talked like that right there.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
No, that would have
been worse.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
You might have been
turned on by it.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
No, that would have
been the deliverance style.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
I'd have been Ned
Beatty, m-i-c-a Redneck South.
Speaker 5 (49:46):
Tennessee.
Maybe what it was was what youwere buying.
What were you buying?
Well, what were you looking at?
Speaker 1 (49:56):
What kind of vitamin.
Were you buying testosterone?
No, just like a pre-workoutdrink blue pill, you know just a
little white wine or somethingoh my gosh I don't know.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
Oh yeah, now, the
second half of this conversation
has been fantastic.
