The podcast dedicated to pink film (pinku eiga), barazoku (Gay Pinku), and Nikkatsu Roman Porno.
In a special Christmas episode, we gather around and celebrate:
We wander through men, garden gnomes, and "sailor suits" by covering all 3 of the "Lesbians in Uniforms" trilogy (1983-84).
We recommend:
We gush about Kani Releasing's "Pink Cut" & "Top Stripper" blu-ray. Yoshimitsu Morita directed these two Nikkatsu Roman Porno; and it was vital for the careers of both of its ADs (Hiroyuki Nasu & Shusuke Kaneko).
Recommendations:
We cover Pink Line Vol. 1 (out now from Vinegar Syndrome & Melusine):
We also recommend:
We screened a rare Nikkatsu Roman Porno and want to thank:
Also shoutout to our friends:
If a film with 25 Letterboxd logs, no blu-ray, and no subtitles ...
We cover two takes on Sada Abe: "A Woman Called Sada Abe" (1975) by Noboru Tanaka for Nikkatsu and "In the Realm of the Senses" (1976) by Nagisa Ōshima.

We finally tracked down the VHS for "The Sekkan 3" aka "The Punishment 3: Euphoria" (1985), directed the "Goddess of Dominatrixes" Mary Aoi. This "Roman X" title for Nikkatsu is the final entry in the BDSM trilogy.
To celebrate her career, we also cover 2 Japanese Adult Videos (JAV) by her:
We celebrate the summer and Pride with 4 queer teachers from pink film:

For this episode, we cover 4 pink films with superheroes:

We cover 3 fun (and wildly unethical) portrayals of nurses by Nikkatsu. These include:

Mary Aoi was the legendary Queen of the "Blue Chateau" BDSM nightclub (1980-87). After Nikkatsu turned her former sub Nami Matsukawa into a star (1982), Mary would help pioneer early "Roman X" in 1985. She expanded into pink film and AV, laying the groundwork for V&R Planning.
We cover:
For our first bonus episode, we read a list of "Groper Train" titles. Many stops. Many fingers. Many ethical dilemmas.

We watch (or ride) the "Groper Train" (痴漢電車) series in a triple bill. Two are directed by Sachi Hamano. All three star the legendary Ryuji Yamamoto.

We cover 2 wrestling-themed pinku:

For this episode, we cover 4 of Nikkatsu's "Live Shooting" titles for home video:

We cover three unhinged lesbian / yuri films:
The first two films also feature trans characters. The third (and most offensive) features cross-dressing.
We cover two gay pinku by Kuninori Yamazaki: "The Ultimate Masturbation" (2016) and "Monochrome" (1996). Called the "David Lynch of pink film," Yamazaki is a writer-turned-director, who considers his gay pinku ("barazoku" or "rose tribe") films to be his greatest work.

We cover three birth/pregnancy-themed pinku: "Abortion" (1966) by Masao Adachi, the Roman X title, "The Birth" (1986), and Shintoho's "The Pregnant Woman" (1992). Is anyone truly ready to become a parent?
