SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Amen.
SPEAKER_02 (00:26):
Welcome back,
unrelated sisters, Truth and
Grace Conversation.
I'm Shannon, and I'm with my galDeb, and today we're stepping
into something that's beenpressing on my heart, a question
that's more important than yourpolitics, hot button issues, or
trending news.
The question is, is your houseready?
There is so much noise in theworld today, voices coming from
(00:48):
every direction, news, socialmedia, opinion pieces, even
well-meaning friends.
But when there is so much noise, how do you know in your heart
your spiritual house is trulyprepared for the most important
visitor you will ever have?
We're not here to talk about whoyou voted for or where you stand
(01:10):
on the latest debate.
None of that matters.
If we're missing the voice, weshould be listening to Jesus.
You know, so much seems to begoing on in the world today.
I personally don't watch thenews because it's always so
awful.
But you can't miss it right now.
It's all over TikTok.
(01:31):
It's all over YouTube.
It's all over Facebook.
Everybody has an opinion aboutwhat's going on.
But at the end of the day, itdoesn't matter who you voted
for.
It doesn't matter what issuesyou stand for or don't stand
for.
None of that matters.
What matters is, are youspiritually ready when Jesus
(01:56):
comes back today?
SPEAKER_00 (01:57):
Yes.
SPEAKER_02 (01:57):
If he comes back
today, are you ready?
Ten years ago, I believe I wouldhave went to heaven, but I
believe I would have been incondemnation for it.
You know what I mean?
I believe I was saved 10 yearsago before I truly found His
(02:22):
Word.
I mean, I had to ask Him, but isthat what saved me?
You get my question there?
I grew up in church.
I went to the altar.
I said the sinner's prayer, andthen But then for a long time, I
didn't live the life.
I didn't have a relationship.
So at that point, was I stillsaved?
SPEAKER_00 (02:47):
Good question.
Good question.
You know, I think this is a gooddebate or not debate, a good
topic.
Not a debate at all.
A good topic.
A lot of times we do spend a lotof our time getting our house
together, house in order.
(03:07):
physical house but not ourspiritual house right you know
and um i know i went through areally rough season here lately
and um but god is faithful he'sfaithful and i don't know i've
just been really working on myspiritual house i've been trying
to draw closer to god and have abetter relationship we i really
(03:31):
believe we are living in the endtimes um we're a day closer
SPEAKER_02 (03:36):
One
SPEAKER_00 (03:36):
day.
We are a day closer.
SPEAKER_02 (03:38):
You know, in
Revelations 3, 15 and 16, it
says, What does that mean?
Like, if you sit down and youbreak that out, what does that
mean?
He knows what you've done,right?
(04:00):
And you're neither hot nor cold.
And he's not talking aboutsitting in the house under a
blanket, right?
He's talking about yourrelationship with him, right?
And I can...
And you'll be going through thissoon with Oren.
But I can remember when my kidwas like 13, 14, 15 years old,
(04:23):
right?
Our whole relationship was hotand cold.
You know what I mean?
Like one minute...
I loved him to death.
And the next minute, I wanted tolock him in the closet.
You know?
And does God feel that way aboutus?
I would.
You know, if you sit down andyou think about how we are as
humans, sometimes I wonder whyhe don't lock us in the closet.
(04:47):
He loves us so much, though.
You know, I mean, it's just, Idon't know.
It just seems so...
Right.
Especially I remember going upin the Baptist church and I
remember, you know, listening tothe preachers preach on
revelations and I scared todeath.
(05:07):
I was scared to death ofrevelations.
I was scared to death of the endof times.
I was scared to death ofhellfire brimstone, you know,
coming back to get us, you know,I scared to lie.
I still ain't a good liar.
I tell myself even I can try tolie, but I still tell on myself.
There's things that have beenembedded inside of me that I
(05:29):
still have fear of.
But at the end of the day, heleaves the 99 that have that
relationship to come find theone that doesn't.
At the end of the day.
And so at the end of the day, itreally comes down to, it's not
who you voted for.
It's not what you morallybelieve.
(05:52):
It's not...
Whether we see the same thing onabortion or we see the same
thing on homosexuality, it'sabout He loves us.
He shows us grace.
I mean, I can remember timesthat if I'd have been the
parent, I don't know if I'd haveput up with me.
SPEAKER_00 (06:13):
For sure.
SPEAKER_02 (06:14):
Right?
I don't
SPEAKER_00 (06:15):
know.
I think a lot of times, for mepersonally, I know that I had
went through the motions before.
You know what I mean?
I wasn't really– I think whenyou let the spirit of compromise
in, too, where you're just like–you think, oh, this is fine.
I can do this.
I can do this, a little bit ofthis, a little bit of that.
(06:37):
I'm not talking about drugs oranything, just things that we
know as sin.
Then you start compromising, andthen for a long year, just
really– going through themotions.
You know what I mean?
You lose that relationship.
There's a lot of people that aresitting in church that don't
have a relationship.
A lot of people.
(06:57):
They just come and they checkout their box and go home and
say, I've been to church today.
SPEAKER_02 (07:04):
That's right.
They do.
People...
I truly believe a lot of peopleare like, how can you?
How can you...
talk with people ofhomosexuality or how can you be
nice to these drug addicts?
(07:25):
How can you be nice to thesepeople that you know are
cheating on their spouse?
All these people you know thatare living in sin, how do you be
nice to them?
And it's not about being nice tothem.
It's about showing them thegrace that He showed me when I
was one of them.
SPEAKER_00 (07:41):
But you can hate the
sin and love the sinner.
SPEAKER_02 (07:43):
Right.
SPEAKER_00 (07:44):
And I feel like it's
not my place.
SPEAKER_02 (07:48):
I've had gay people
ask me, how come you don't judge
me?
And I said, if I judge you, thenI'm a bigger sinner than you
are.
I can't judge you.
It's not my place.
I don't like what you do.
I don't agree with it.
I do believe it's a sin.
I do believe that once you standin front of God, that that is
(08:11):
between you and him.
But that doesn't mean it's myplace to stand here and condemn
you for
SPEAKER_01 (08:16):
it.
SPEAKER_02 (08:17):
It's not.
Because if I'm going to condemnthem, then he's going to condemn
me.
I am not perfect.
SPEAKER_00 (08:24):
I agree.
I think that's it when you canjust learn to love people right
where they're at.
That speaks volumes.
Yeah.
To just love them right wherethey're at.
But also I think a lot of timespeople are, especially nowadays,
they're to a point where theycan't even feel conviction
anymore.
I'm grateful for that.
I know if I'm doing somethingwrong.
I know it.
(08:46):
You know, the Lord convicts me.
And I just pray for the onesthat don't have conviction that
the Lord convicts them becausesome people, their heart has
grown hardened.
You know?
SPEAKER_02 (08:55):
Yep.
Yeah.
And conviction is what keeps ushumbled.
Yeah.
I mean, honestly, it keeps usaccountable.
It keeps me humbled.
Right?
When I do something and I'mlike...
You know, I'm just like, oh,yeah.
And yes, I don't.
I'm not perfect.
(09:16):
I don't do everything rightevery day.
You know, I roll my eyes and Ihave bad thoughts.
And, you know, no, I'm notgetting high anymore.
But a sin's a sin at the end ofthe day.
A sin's a sin.
Just like a law's a law.
If you break the law, you breakthe law.
You know, I got a ticket.
So my husband's birthday is June12th.
(09:37):
My car is in my husband's name.
Last year, I'm driving to work.
Can I get pulled over?
And it's like september.
We forgot to get our tags.
That's a$30 ticket.
Yeah.
You know?
We just forgot.
It was busy.
But
SPEAKER_00 (09:54):
it was still
SPEAKER_02 (09:54):
a ticket.
SPEAKER_00 (09:55):
Yeah.
At the end of the day.
That's why a lot of times, evenbecause I feel like, you know,
there is things that I do that Iknow for a fact that's not
right.
And then sometimes, like you'resaying, you may mess up and not
know.
So sometimes I pray, Lord, forgive me for everything.
Any sin I've committed today, knowingly or unknowingly.
Right.
You know what I mean?
Because I want to be ready.
(10:15):
I do want to be ready.
We never know.
You never know when you walk outthe door.
Right.
You never know when therapture's going to take place.
We're getting close.
You never know.
SPEAKER_02 (10:24):
We have to be.
And that's right.
My mama makes fun of me becauseI'm working.
If work asks me to travel, Ijust pack up and travel.
I went to some sketchy placesyou know some towns that are not
nice towns some places that youknow I couldn't work and then
(10:44):
once it starts to get dark Ihave to go to the hotel and I
can't leave the hotel you knowand I look at them when they ask
me are you not scared to go byyourself and I'm like I'm not by
myself and they're likeeverybody looks at me like I'm
crazy and I'm like Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
(11:26):
Don't know how I made it out ofthere.
I can't be afraid anymore.
I don't think like that anymore.
I don't think of fear anymore.
When approaching people, myhusband gets on to me all the
time because I'll see somebodywalking down the road and it's
100,000 degrees outside.
And I'll pull over and say, where are you headed?
(11:47):
This is where I'm headed.
I'll take you at least that far.
He's like, I'm going to rob you.
And you're going to be left onthe side of the road dead.
And I'm like, well, if that'sthe way God takes me, that's the
way he takes me.
But I can't.
When I was that person...
There was times I rememberwishing or praying, wishing that
somebody would just stop and letme have air for five minutes,
(12:09):
right?
And I can't let go of that.
I can't let go of what I'vedone.
So let me ask you, how's yourhouse?
Not your living room or yourkitchen, but your spiritual
home, your heart.
Are you truly ready for Jesus tocome in?
In Revelations, God gave a wordto John about the end of times.
(12:31):
And I remember hearing themessages about the end of times
and feeling scared.
It was like all doom and gloom.
But what I feel right now isn'tfear.
I don't fear the end of times.
And I want you to hear me when Isay it, that fear is not fear.
(12:52):
Fear is not Jesus.
(13:16):
Tell it.
Somebody standing around you, somebody you work with, somebody
sitting at the table beside youis waiting on that blessing to
happen.
And the only way they're goingto know for sure that it can
happen is to hear your story.
Yes.
So don't be afraid.
Be prepared.
(13:37):
Be ready.
Be ready to listen when he asksyou to do those kind of things.
UNKNOWN (13:42):
Yes.
SPEAKER_02 (13:44):
You know, what's the
first thing you do when
company's coming?
You had family in this weekend.
SPEAKER_00 (13:49):
Well, actually, you
know what?
They didn't come.
They ended up not coming.
SPEAKER_02 (13:52):
Oh, what?
Yep.
SPEAKER_00 (13:53):
But...
You
SPEAKER_02 (13:55):
got off early on
Friday.
Why'd you get off early onFriday?
We
SPEAKER_00 (14:00):
cleaned and we...
We did.
We did.
And I'm like, I had it worn facedown even Friday morning before
I got there.
Yeah.
So, you know, what did you do?
We did that.
Made sure, yeah.
Try to get her house in order.
SPEAKER_02 (14:11):
Yeah, well, I'm
leaving out of town, right?
My husband's going to be at homeby himself.
Oh, Lord, help me.
This morning I got up and Iswept and I mopped and, you
know, because if I die on a carwreck tomorrow and I want people
to come to my house, my housewould be nasty.
You know what I mean?
Like, so I'm not going to behere for a week.
So, you know, I got up and Icleaned my house because it has
(14:31):
to be in order because what ifsomebody has to come over or,
you know, whatever, you know, Ivacuumed and I cleaned the
kitchen and I did all thelaundry and I actually put it up
instead of leaving it in thelaundry room where we have to
walk and go get it every day,you know.
And I don't do it, well, I do itfor several reasons.
One is because I grew up in ahouse where we wasn't nasty, but
(14:57):
we had a lot of stuff.
So we were very cluttered.
And I don't like that.
I don't like clutter.
I like everything has a home andit's home.
It's
SPEAKER_00 (15:06):
just very nice and
clean, by
SPEAKER_02 (15:08):
the way.
Well, I can't help it.
But also I want people.
But then I think sometimes thatbecause it is so clean and
organized, people don't feelwelcome in my house.
Right.
Because they don't feel I loveit.
They don't feel like they cancome and be at home.
SPEAKER_00 (15:23):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (15:23):
Right.
I want you.
I want people to be able to feelat home.
So I don't over clean it.
sometimes sometimes i do but iwant my home to be a place of
peace yeah but don't you wantyour spirit to be a place of
peace
SPEAKER_00 (15:37):
absolutely
SPEAKER_02 (15:38):
you know don't you
want don't you want to be able
to and don't get me wrong i amnot happy every day every day
life is not rainbows and andunicorns and and you know and
sparkles and all the great funthings as a girl But every day
(15:59):
is graceful.
And because every day isgraceful, I can smile every day.
UNKNOWN (16:05):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (16:06):
You know, and used
to, it was, I put on the mask of
happiness, right?
There's a difference in beinghappy and having joy.
SPEAKER_00 (16:14):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (16:15):
And I have true joy.
SPEAKER_00 (16:16):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (16:18):
And if you don't
have true joy, then ask for it.
UNKNOWN (16:25):
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02 (16:26):
Ask for it and truly
believe that he's going to give
it to you.
That is how you start to getyour spiritual housing.
SPEAKER_00 (16:36):
Yes.
SPEAKER_02 (16:37):
Find your joy.
And don't let nobody.
I refuse.
I've been in places.
I've been in situations whereI've freely handed them my joy.
SPEAKER_00 (16:47):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (16:48):
And I refuse to hand
them my joy anymore.
I refuse.
I'm not going to.
If I'm in a situation that'staking away my joy, it's time to
move
SPEAKER_00 (16:59):
on.
Yeah.
I know me and Kevin has beenintentional, when I say
intentional, on purpose theselast three weeks, getting up
together and doing our devotionstogether and trying to make it a
point to pray at least one timetogether, either in the morning
or evening.
Sometimes we might skip a day.
You know what I mean?
We might not do it, but we havebeen...
(17:21):
Doing devotion every daytogether.
But it has really strengthenedour spiritual walk.
Changed our...
Starting to change ourcharacter.
How we talk to each other.
How I interact at work withpeople.
So, your spiritual healthmatters.
Oh, it matters.
Taking care of yourself and yourspiritual health.
(17:43):
Your relationships.
Taking care...
Your spiritual...
It's not just...
Also, just getting up andreading a Bible and spending
time with Jesus, you need to dothat.
Even if it says your family isyour first ministry, even being
there for your family, how youare with your husband, how you
are with your kids, beingintentional, it's made a big
(18:03):
difference in my life just inthree weeks.
If
SPEAKER_02 (18:08):
your house is in
chaos, then your life is in
chaos, right?
I can remember a time when Dylanwas little I was working 40
hours plus a week, trying to paythe bills.
Everything just seemed so much.
(18:30):
And I was going through a reallyhard time, and I couldn't
balance it all.
I just couldn't.
But I kept going, and I kepttrying, and I kept sinking
further and further and furtherdown into the hole.
In six months, I got coached.
and demoted at a job that, youknow, I should not have.
(18:54):
But it was because my home wasin disarray.
My house was in chaos, right?
And I couldn't, I just couldn't.
And it's okay to not be able to,right?
That demotion, I stayed demotedfor six months.
I went in, I did my 40 hours, Iwent home.
I took care of my home.
(19:15):
I got my home in order.
I got my bills worked out.
I figured out how to manage mytime in that six months and not
stress about trying to improvemyself at work and be a mom at
home.
So in that six months, that wasthe best six months for my
career.
It was the best six months.
It helped me get on the trackwhere I needed to be.
(19:40):
with God and with a lot ofthings, but sometimes he takes
it away just to give it back, right?
He needs something better.
Yes, and we can't be mad at himfor it, right?
If what you want is not comingfast enough, then there's a
reason why, right?
(20:02):
If you keep running intoroadblocks, then maybe it's not
God's telling you what to do,you know, the enemy will whisper
and say, oh my God.
But if it defies what the Biblesays, if it takes away your joy,
or if you continue to run intoroadblocks, there's reasons why.
Right?
(20:22):
You can, you know, I thought Iwas going to...
I got promoted and I startedmaking good money and I got a
really good bonus, you know, andI tithe.
I don't tithe to a church,right?
But I tithe 10% of my earningsto nonprofits that are
(20:43):
faith-based nonprofits that Itruly, truly believe in.
I believe they are the hands andfeet of Jesus.
They are the ones out heretalking with the people that are
lost.
You know, it's hard.
to get an addict into a bigchurch.
It's hard.
(21:04):
They feel judged.
Even though they may or may notbe getting judged, they feel
judged.
I tithe my money and I believethat's where it's supposed to
be.
I was going to start anon-profit.
I knew what I wanted.
I knew what I was going to do.
I knew how I was going to getthere and I knew And every door
(21:27):
that opened slammed back in myface.
And I was so disappointed,right?
And I'm thinking, but God, youknow, ain't that why you give me
this money?
Ain't that why you did this?
Ain't that why you did this orthat?
Or ain't that, you know?
And at the end of the day, thatwasn't why.
And that's okay.
(21:48):
You know, I don't have to starta nonprofit to be a part of the
community, to be a part of.
That's why it put me on.
in my job, right?
I do a lot in my community, andI do believe it is God-led and
God-fed, even though the place Iwork, they give us money to put
(22:08):
back into it.
But when you're preparing foryour company, let's get back to
where we were at.
Do we do the same for Jesus?
If he knocked on your hearttoday, would there be room for
him?
Or do you feel unworthy?
Do you feel lost?
Do you feel like you need topeek your head out the door and
(22:29):
not open it widely?
How do you get there?
You don't even have to say theanswer.
Jesus already knows.
Several times we talk about, youmake fun of me about how clean
my house is all the time.
But It ain't clean before youget here.
Right?
(22:49):
Like every morning when I getup, I have to straighten it up.
I have to, you know, I have tovacuum.
I have a Roomba and technology.
Love it when it works right.
But my Roomba is not smart.
She's not smart.
Like today, she couldn't findher home.
Ten times out of, or nine timesout of ten, she'll go straight
(23:11):
back to her home.
Today, she kept yelling at mebecause she couldn't find her
home.
SPEAKER_01 (23:15):
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02 (23:16):
Like, what is that?
Anyway, so would you besurprised if Jesus showed up
today?
No.
No.
Would I be surprised if Jesusshowed up 10 years ago?
Probably.
You know, but it's okay if youwould be surprised.
What are you going to do to fixit?
What are you going to do toprepare for him to come?
SPEAKER_00 (23:40):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (23:40):
How about just start
talking to him?
SPEAKER_00 (23:42):
You know, today, me
and Kevin and Oren got baptized
yesterday.
which I think is another way tobe prepared.
You don't have to get baptized, but the Bible has recommended
it.
And so that's things that we aretrying to do in our spiritual
(24:02):
walk.
We just did it asrepresentation, going down with
the old man, coming up with thenew.
Right.
My daughter and son-in-law alsogot baptized, so it was a happy
day for me.
It's always happy when your kidsor you see them trying to draw
(24:22):
close to God and live right.
So it ain't only about us.
It's about them, too, and ourfamily.
But it has to start with us.
You have to get yourself inorder.
Get your spiritual life inorder.
Be intentional, and I love that.
I say that all the time.
Be intentional.
Do it on purpose.
Set an alarm if you have to.
Talk to Jesus.
Sometimes we get so busy that weleave Him out.
(24:45):
Yep.
We leave Him out.
Sometimes we can be doing a lotof good things, but they're not
God things.
SPEAKER_02 (24:49):
Right.
SPEAKER_00 (24:49):
So I have to pray
about that.
Lord, is this a God thing?
Is this a you thing or is it ame thing?
SPEAKER_01 (24:52):
You
SPEAKER_00 (24:54):
know.
Is this drawing me closer toyou?
Right?
Right?
SPEAKER_02 (24:58):
Right?
No, I get it.
I get it.
And it's so easy to get life inthe way.
Yeah.
I mean, that's why we didn'trelease the episode Friday
because life got in the way.
And it's okay.
Yeah.
Right?
We're not going to always beperfect and we're not going to
always, you know, we apologizeif you missed it on Friday.
I'll release one.
(25:19):
It's my fault.
I'll release one tonight.
She'll post it so y'all knowthat we released one and then
we'll be prepared
SPEAKER_00 (25:25):
for next Friday.
Yes, we will.
SPEAKER_02 (25:27):
But it happens and
life happens.
You know, how do we love in aconflicted world?
You know, and that was, youknow, kind of where we got
started out here today becauseI've been very conflicted about
what's going on in the world.
And I know I'm not the only one.
Everyone has to be at, you know,a little uneasy about everything
(25:48):
that's going on.
It's so much easier to to judgewhat's going on around you, to
judge the people, to judge theirdecisions, to judge, you know,
how they handle things.
Then it is to ask Jesus to show, show me my heart.
(26:10):
Yeah.
Show me where I am.
Show me the truth about myself.
Christ in casting crown sings asong with this, about this vert,
about this, this, verse or thissaying and I'm going to list it
in the description below I thinkyour listeners should go listen
(26:31):
to it on YouTube or Spotify orwhatever however you listen to
music but I'll put it in thedescription when I do the when I
get ready to post the thing buthow do we show love how do we
show the love of Jesus who don'tTo Jesus, we don't share beliefs
(26:56):
and values because we're afraidof being condemned or bullied
about it or being put more andmore people.
are converting over to Jesus.
You see it more and more in thenews.
Charlie Kirk talks about God andtalks about marriage and talks
(27:17):
about different things.
And he goes to college campusesand he just, you know, he lets
these people just bash him downand yet he still just tells
them, you know, how it is.
And there's so many differentones.
But And if you scroll throughTikTok or Instagram, what are
(27:39):
you following on there?
So I'm new to TikTok.
I still don't have an Instagram, but I'm new to TikTok.
I started doing it for thispodcast.
I started TikTok for thispodcast because people kept
saying, well, that's how you getit out there.
That's how you get it out there.
I'm not great at posting on it.
We haven't done a ton of videos, but it's led me to some things.
(28:00):
There's a...
a lady named Kayla, and shetravels around the United States
with her revival team.
And all they do is baptizepeople
SPEAKER_01 (28:11):
for
SPEAKER_02 (28:12):
hours.
And I'm talking about they standout in the lake for 12 and 13
hours at a time, baptizingpeople, praying over people.
And I'm just like, wow.
UNKNOWN (28:26):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (28:27):
awesome
SPEAKER_02 (28:28):
you know just wow
like it just it every time one
of her things pop up it justblows my mind there will be
people lined up for miles youknow and have you ever watched
the show chosen
SPEAKER_01 (28:39):
right
SPEAKER_02 (28:41):
so when jesus would
go uh it's probably the best
reputation i've ever seen of thebible so if you've not watched
chosen i highly recommend chosenum Every time I get done
watching an episode, I go to theBible, and I'm like, oh, my God,
that's really how it happened.
Anyway, sorry.
Distracted squirrel.
(29:02):
But, you know, every time hegoes to speak, people just show
up, you know, and I pray.
that that happens with thispodcast.
I pray that whoever is supposedto hear this podcast, hears this
podcast and whoever, whether youlisten to just this one or
(29:22):
you've listened to every one ofthem, you know, do what God
tells you to do.
I'm very strong on that.
I used to think, why should Ilove someone who condemns me for
what makes me feel good?
And that's why grace matters.
Yes.
Right.
People condemn me when I was adrug addict.
People condemn me.
(29:48):
They just assume because I was adrug addict, I slept with
everybody around.
I didn't, but they assumedbecause that's what drug addicts
do.
I was one of the lucky ones.
Daddy was the dope dealer, so Ididn't have to sleep around to
get my dope.
Yeah.
(30:09):
But now they judge me because ofwhat I believe or because of...
Sometimes I'm telling you, if Igo down the interstate, people
probably think I'm crazy.
I had one of those mornings theother morning, and I was just
lost in my world, praising withJesus, and we were just having a
good old time the other morning.
And I feel people looking at meor staring at me.
(30:33):
I was like, oh, Bob, it is okay.
That's why we need to lovepeople where they are.
Yeah.
And...
you know, where they are whilewe're speaking the truth.
You still have to speak thetruth.
Speak the truth in love.
But you do it in love.
Yeah.
You know, and I remember whenDylan was little, I was not good
at that, right?
I was good at speaking thetruth.
(30:54):
I was not good at speaking thetruth in love.
You know, and so sometimes, youknow, we still, we butt hands
for that reason.
SPEAKER_00 (31:06):
Well, getting your
house in order is, Spiritual
house, first of all, I think youshould just go in.
Ask the Lord, Lord, I want todeclutter.
Empty out anything in me.
Clean out anything in me.
There's a room, a room.
There's a song called Make Room.
It's called I'll Make Room forYou.
I love it.
(31:27):
I don't know if you ever heardit, but it's so good.
And so as I was reading overthis, I thought about that song.
You know, I'll make room for youto do what you have to do in my
life.
And so it's hard to...
Let God do the things He wantsto do when we're full of
bitterness or jealousy or angeror resentment.
(31:47):
The things the Lord wants toempty out.
We have to make room for thethings that He has for us.
If we're holding anger, it'shard to have love.
If you're holding bitterness,it's hard to have peace and joy.
That's my prayer a lot.
Lord, empty me.
Almost a dayly.
(32:07):
Lord, empty me of me.
It says crucify your flesh everyday.
I had to get up and say, Lord, Iwant to crucify my flesh today.
This morning, me and Kevin, Iwas joking.
I said, I'm going to ask Dad tohold you under because my dad
baptized us.
I said, I'm going to ask him tohold you under a little bit
longer so you get cleansed alittle bit more.
(32:30):
I said, when you come back up,I'm praying that you be full of
love and compassion.
And he said, and I'm going topray that when you come back up,
you don't want me to be a socialbutterfly.
I'm like, well, if that's theworst thing you can say about
me, that's fine.
(32:50):
But no, for real, we have to dothat.
Because a lot of times we justgo, we're so busy.
We're so busy in life right now.
And like I said, we can be doingall these good things.
But we can be also going to themotions as you're doing it.
I don't want to do that.
I don't want to go to themotions.
I want to be spirit-led, walkingin authority and in the power
(33:14):
that God has given us to reachthe world.
SPEAKER_02 (33:19):
That's right.
SPEAKER_00 (33:19):
And to do that, we
have to be empty of who we are
and be full of Him.
SPEAKER_02 (33:27):
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, you know, Jesus isn'tgoing to give up on you.
That's right.
He's calling you to wake up,clean house, and open the door.
Amen.
That's what he wants you to do.
Clean house and
SPEAKER_00 (33:37):
open the door.
SPEAKER_02 (33:40):
Ready for you.
Matthew 24, 42.
Therefore, keep watch, becauseyou do not know on what day your
Lord will come.
That's right.
No, we don't.
We should be ready every day.
Yeah.
Right?
We're ready for company to comeat work.
If I ain't ready for company tocome because I never know when
they're going to show up, thenwe're in trouble.
Yeah.
You know, I've been working at adifferent store last week, and
(34:05):
we had a phone call on Wednesdaymorning that a plane landed at
an airport 10 minutes from us.
And I said, if the company showsup here today, I'm going to
lunch.
I said, because I'm not gettingfired for this store.
Right?
Because it's not ready.
Yeah.
It's just not ready.
And my boss was like, well, Ithink you'd get reprieved.
I was like, I don't know, butit's still embarrassing.
SPEAKER_00 (34:23):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (34:23):
You know what I
mean?
It might not be my house, butit's still embarrassing.
SPEAKER_00 (34:26):
You represent it,
right?
SPEAKER_02 (34:28):
That's the way I
feel.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (34:29):
That's how you feel.
We're
SPEAKER_02 (34:30):
representing Christ.
SPEAKER_00 (34:30):
Same thing.
That's right.
You know what I mean?
We're representing Christ.
We should represent well.
SPEAKER_02 (34:35):
Represent every day,
no matter where we're at, right?
So if they come in, like, I'mgoing to take the chewing, I'm
going to hold my head up, andI'm going to take the notes, and
we're going to go with it.
But I shouldn't have to takenotes from God.
Right?
But if we listen, we're nottaken.
(35:18):
I don't know how to be quiet.
(35:48):
Thank God for what He's givenyou.
And if there's something thatyou truly need, thank Him for
what He's going to give you.
Thank Him in advance.
Thank Him like you already haveit.
That's right.
Pray love with grace and takeyour peace back.
Yeah.
Right?
That's your first call to actionthis week.
If your peace isn't there, praydaily.
(36:11):
Yeah.
And pray with a thankful heart.
Read your Bible.
Even if it's just one verse aday.
We've discussed this.
I am not the best at it.
I'm not the best at reading upmy Bible.
I did download Audible.
And I've been trying to listento some different verses every
day.
I downloaded the Bible app.
(36:33):
It sends the verse of the day tome.
It pops it up on my home screen.
So I've been reading that versea day.
Caleb Radio and J103, they bothdo a verse of the day.
And you can sign up and they'llemail it to you or text it to
you.
I've done that.
So I'm getting three verses aday.
And not all three verses is whatI meant to have for the day, but
(36:54):
one of them has been every day.
One of them has touched myheart, led me in the direction I
needed to go for the day, orjust brought me joy.
So not all three have hit mewhere I'm supposed to be that
day, but one of them has.
So I know it's at least settingme in the right direction.
(37:17):
It may not be...
exactly what he wants but we'reworking on it yeah right i'm a
work in progress every day askthe holy spirit to show you what
needs to be cleaned out you knowdeb was talking about this and
young in your spiritual life inyour faith midway through your
(37:40):
teenage years of your spiritualspiritual faith even in your
grown spiritual faith
SPEAKER_00 (37:45):
you have to ask that
every day oh yeah You have to
ask it every day.
My dad's been walking a longtime.
He'll tell you.
He has to go, Lord, help meright here in this area.
Show me who I am.
Yeah.
He's one of the wisest men Iknow.
You know what I mean?
We're human.
We're flesh.
That's why we need Jesus.
SPEAKER_02 (38:03):
And then be
intentional.
Yeah.
You know, be intentional aboutmaking space for God.
SPEAKER_00 (38:07):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (38:08):
Be intentional about
making space for your spouse
because if you two are on thesame spiritual path, you may not
be at the same levelspiritually, but you can be on
the same path.
You have to be on the same pathwith your kids and with how
you're going to raise them andthe household that you live in.
But if you're on the same path, then joy is coming.
Joy is on that path with you.
(38:31):
So be intentional.
Open your heart to listen.
Here's my heart, Lord.
Speak what is true.
SPEAKER_01 (38:37):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (38:38):
The other day, one
of my associates said something,
and I said, don't say that.
I said, don't speak that intoexistence.
We don't do that here.
We don't do negativity here.
I don't care how bad life is.
I don't care how bad thesituation at work is.
(38:59):
We don't speak negativity intothe world.
Because when you speak it, itcomes.
Your tongue is the most powerfulmuscle you have in your body
besides your heart.
So be intentional when you speakto God.
Be intentional when you speak toothers.
UNKNOWN (39:15):
Yes.
SPEAKER_02 (39:17):
In the descriptions
of the episodes going forward,
I'm going to start putting injust some individual prayers for
individuals to help you.
Not everybody can speak.
pray.
Some people get nervous.
Some people think too much.
They overthink it.
(39:39):
It's really not about what yousay.
It's about what you feel in yourheart.
I can fumble my way through aprayer one minute, and then I
can be God-led and God-fed, andit'd be the best prayer
anybody's ever heard.
When my grandmother passed away,we were at the funeral home, and
one of my cousins took itreally, really hard.
(40:02):
He's been going to a policeacademy, and he's been working
on his faith.
He's young in his faith.
With the way the world is today,he's afraid he can't do his job
and still walk with God.
He's stressed out about
SPEAKER_00 (40:21):
that.
UNKNOWN (40:22):
Wow.
SPEAKER_02 (40:22):
He's afraid he can't
be a police officer in this day
and time and still show love tothe people that need it the
most.
To know that that's what ouryoung generation thinks, that
breaks my heart.
So my aunt's up there, and myaunt is, you know, she sweats
(40:46):
God.
You know, you can smell it onher.
I don't know what else.
I don't know.
You know what I'm saying?
You can see the glow around her.
You know, she's always been oneof those people that you can
walk in her house and you canjust feel the
SPEAKER_01 (41:00):
presence
SPEAKER_02 (41:00):
no matter what time
of day or year it is.
And so she's up there.
She's struggling to pray forhim.
And you can tell she'sstruggling.
She's wanting to, but she'sstruggling to pray for him.
And it just, I just puke it out, right?
And when we get done, she goes, she goes, I didn't know Sharon
had that kind of relationshipwith God.
And my mom goes, she amazes metoo sometimes.
(41:23):
But it's one of those things, because they know the past,
SPEAKER_01 (41:27):
right?
SPEAKER_02 (41:28):
And she used to be
one of those, if you walk away,
you can't come back kind ofpeople.
I've changed that in her.
She's seen the difference.
They've all watched thedifference that it's made, and
it makes a difference.
SPEAKER_00 (41:44):
It does.
SPEAKER_02 (41:47):
Let's see.
Let's see.
(42:15):
And in Jesus' name we pray.
This week, let's pray that overthe world.
Let's pray that over Israel.
Let's pray that over Iran.
Let's pray this over ourcountry, over the U.S.
Let's band together.
I truly believe that there isnothing stronger than a praying
woman.
Yes.
(42:35):
And if we can come together, Ifeel like we can protect the
world.
Yes.
UNKNOWN (42:42):
Amen.
SPEAKER_02 (42:42):
He's at the door.
Will you open it?
Until next time, keep yourhearts open, your house ready,
and your soul anchored in thetruth and grace.
(43:03):
We love you, sisters.
And remember, don't just cleanfor company.
Prepare for the King.
Please share this with friendsand anyone that needs the love
of Jesus.
