And he ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent New Jersey but he lost in the Democratic primary on June 2024.
Chancee Lundy Russell is the Interim Executive Director, #SouthernBlackGirls, a collective of Black women in philanthropy, activism and girls’ work, established in 2017. To date, they have already awarded $5 million to 250 Black women-led organizations and 800 girls across the southern United States - Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Pastor Michael McBride is the Co-founder of The #BlackChurchPAC, the National Black Brown Gun Violence Prevention Consortium which work to center black and brown gun violence prevention practitioners and is also one of the early architects of the “#SoulsToThePolls” movement. Pastor Mike mobilized for Biden in 2020 and is the Director for the #LiveFree Campaign and in 2021, established #LiveFreeUSA as a national racial justice network.
