Welcome to Well that happened, and this is a story
of crime, cunning and blisters. A man who broke into
a wiltchair hospital to get a suntan ended up being
scarred for life after evaiding security scarf at Oddstock Hospital
in Salisbury. In pocketing the doctor's paging devices, the intruder
spotted what he thought was an ordinary sun bed, so
he calmly removed his clothes for a forty five minute

free tanning session, unaware that the high voltage ultra violet
machine was in fact designed for treating burns victims and
had a maximum length of exposure to it of just
ten seconds. He eventually emerged covered in blisters, having spent
almost three hundred times the recommended maximum period on the bed.
He left the hospital, and as the pain from his
blisters became increasingly unbearable, he decided to go to another

hospital who wouldn't suspect a thing. Southampton General Hospital was
his destination, where staff became suspicious because he was wearing
a doctor's coat. They tended his wounds before calling the police.
