Three-and-a-half days ago, Reed Lavoy stepped out of his doomsday bunker after 11 years underground to greet the apocalyptic wastelands of the after-times. After wandering around Crater View, he found two-headed birds, loitering rapscallions, and the first two guests for his radio show: Jethro Robichaux, the unofficial and aspiring sheriff of the Bay Area, and J1, an android with a killer smile.
