SmackDownTonight – Review (August 15, 2025)

Let’s get into it.

First up: Sami Zayn
SmackDown Was DECENT… Until THAT Ending. He’s officially made the switch to SmackDown. He showed up in Boston, thanked Solo Sikoa for derailing his world title chances on Raw—turning a setback into clarity—and declared that he wants the U.S. Championship now. The crowd was into it.

Then, chaos ensued: Solo and the MFTs came at him, but then Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu rushed in to even the odds. That set up the main event.

Main Event Recap
Sami teamed with Fatu and Jimmy Uso against Solo Sikoa and the MFTs. In a wild, athletic bout full of crowd energy, Sami scored the pin—landing a Helluva Kick on Solo—for the second week in a row. That’s two pinfalls against the U.S. champ in a row. Naturally, this sets up Sami as a clear contender for the U.S. title going forward.

Other highlights

Alexa Bliss vs. Piper Niven: Bliss managed a roll-up victory amid chaos—Chelsea Green caused distractions, and post-match, Bliss got ambushed by Alba Fyre and Piper. Charlotte Flair eventually ran in to even the odds, but Bliss ended the segment battered.

Fraxiom vs. Melo Don’t Miz: The team of Carmelo Hayes and The Miz got the win in a solid matchup.

Street Profits vs. DIY: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins continued their momentum with a win over the DIY team.
