It's iHeartMedia's CEOs you should know, joined by Herb White,
CEO of Sharon View Federal Credit Union.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
When you join a credit union, you're actually one of
the owners. So credit unions are designed that we are
member owned a cooperatives. What that sentiment means is that
our aim is to serve our members. It's not a
profitability goal. And so there are measures that we take
to make sure that we can either increase rates on savings,
lower rates on our loan side of the house, to

(00:26):
basically give back to our members. That personal touch with
our employees comes from our leadership. Our employees are the
cornerstone of everything we do around here. That mindset just
comes from if we take care of them, they are
better stewards and better representative of what we want from
our credit union. And in fact, then that's how our
members are served even better.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
And with Sharon View Federal Credit Union, it's not just Charlotte,
it's the Carolinas.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
We serve all the way down into the Greenville, Simpsonville,
Spartanburg areas, all the way down in though the heart
of what we call what I call North Carolina and
the Affayetteville, Florence. We have branches around the central Charlotte area.
It's that combination that it rounds out our cooperative in
that mindset of people helping people. You know, that's a
standard credit union mantra, but I really believe the makeup
of our credit union adds to that.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
And adding to that, you know, Charlotte is such a
great place to be, how did you decide?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I fly into the Charlotte Airport. I'm driving down seventy
seven and I can see the view down there and
my wife looks at me. We haven't even checked into
our hotel. My wife taps me on the arm and says,
this is where I want to
