Of course you know that you and your partner are not exactly the same. Yet, how often do you expect them to fulfill all of your needs? Or even how often you assume that they should just know or desire to meet your needs?

When you get to a place where you have conflicting needs, this can feel as if you have to sacrifice or be discouraged that your needs won't be met. When we asked on IG what some of the common conflicting needs for you were, we heard back:

  • Togetherness vs separateness
  • Physical touch vs quality time
  • Time to talk and connect at the end of the day vs quiet time to decompress after working a long day.
  • Working vs leading the kids and home

But there are ways, in this case you will hear 5 principles, so that you can work through your conflicting needs together and be sure that you do not have to sacrifice or give up on having your most important needs met in your relationship.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
