(06:49):
is universal principles plus stories attached to those principles. So
we're gonna hear a powerful story journey universal principle from
one of my former clients, Miss Marla Trees Montgomery. She's
a bowler, y'all, but we're gonna have her to unpacked
her entrepreneur business story. So, Marla Trece, welcome to the
(07:13):
Law Attraction, Ready your network.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Thank you so much. I am so honored to be here.
I just love you, I adore you, and I am
honored to be having this conversation with you, thank you.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
And we just sharing with the world. And you know,
I am so amazed, astounded, what else, happy, exuberant, jubilant
about her progress. And I wanted you to come home
because sometimes when people see your success, they think that
they just happen overnight. So we're gonna You're ready for
(07:47):
me to get in your business?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Okay, So let's talk about your business journey. You know,
when I first started coaching you, I always knew you
had strong aspirations, you had big dreams. Where did that
come from?
Speaker 3 (08:04):
I would say my strong aspirations and my big dreams
came from my mom's example. Right, She's an entrepreneur and
just seeing her example kind of let me was an
example of I can reach for my own dreams. I
can do it as well. So I would say she
is my example in my inspiration for everything I do.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Now.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I didn't originally think I could be an entrepreneur like her,
but I would say that she was a shiny example
of what could happen when you follow your dreams, when
you follow your heart, when you're working, when you walk
in your calling. So I would say it started with
her example.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Yeah, and you know, God puts that little seed down
on the inside of us. And even though there may
be a lot of doubt, a lot of Oh my God,
can I a lot of fear, I've seen you walk
it out. So what's the name of your business?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
So the name of my business is Vine and Olive.
We're a premium olive oil store located in Atlanta, Georgia.
But we're about two years old. But that is where
we are based in Atlanta. And what we're doing offering delicious,
premium olive oils for your health journey.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah, and I've had some. So where did that idea
come from? Because olive oil, that's just like, way, where
did that come from? How did that happen in your life?
I always say, y'all, God can can download to you
one million dollar idea that would not only shift and
change your life, but impact and change the lives of
(09:32):
others globally. Where did that come from? Mala Trees?
Speaker 3 (09:35):
So I would say that the idea didn't come to me,
but the opportunity came to me. Right.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Oh what that's a mic drop, okay, Marla Trees were
just getting started. That's a mic drop, Okay.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
I would say that the opportunity came to me because,
like I just mentioned, my mom is an entrepreneur. She's
been doing great things. So I had her example. But
I work in healthcare. I'm a PA, a physician associate,
you know, I work. I'm a medical provider. So that
was my lane. That's currently where I'm still working in
as a PA. So I was fifteen years I've been
doing that, staying in that medical lane, and so entrepreneurship
(10:07):
didn't come to me except by her example. But the
opportunity for Vin and Olive came because a family member
had a similar store outside of Atlanta, and I loved
going there sampling her olive oils because y'all know food
is medicine, so I loved was offering something of quality.
So I saw her little store and I was like, wow,
(10:28):
this is so great. But again, the idea wasn't mine.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Right.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
But a few years later, when she had to step
away from the business for personal reasons, you know, I
begged her, please don't close the store. Everyone loves it.
It's such a great idea, right, please don't close it.
And she said, well, I have to step away for
my own personal reasons. But I wouldn't mind mentoring you
and coaching you and starting a similar business under your
own name. So the opportunity presented itself to me, right.
(10:54):
You know, I wasn't looking. I didn't have an idea
to start an olive oil store, like I said, I
was content working in medicine. But she presented an opportunity
to me, and I reached out and grabbed that opportunity.
So that's how they know.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Ooh, that's so profound. We could talk on this for
the next hour. And so for listeners or anybody who's
watching this malatre, do you feel like you were preparing
on the inside for something even though you were working
as a PA. I remember coaching you. You always had
these dreams and what's the powerful saying that when opportunity
(11:29):
meets preparation, right, that equal success.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
I agree I was working on So working as a PA,
I had an idea for a service based business, right,
and that's what I was currently working on. And I'm
still working. I still have that business. But under your
coaching and guidance, I furthered that business, and so I
was fully dedicated to that, serving the world through medicine
through mentorship. Saying in the pa Lane. So I was
(11:56):
working on a service based business and as you know,
Vine and Olive as a product based business. So those
are two different worlds. Those are two different worlds. So
I wasn't I didn't see the opportunity there. I just
begged her not to close the store. So because of
the coaching I received from you, from the training I
received to you from you, I already was in a
(12:18):
way working on the tools and the preparation I needed
to take on this other business. Now, service based businesses
and product based businesses are are different, but some of
the quality, some of the some of the attributes of
a business owner I was already working on with my
service based business. Does that make sense?
Speaker 2 (12:36):
That's profound. And you know, y'all know I got to
quote a little script chef in here. You know, the
Bible says that your gift would make room for you
and you see the favor of God just going out.
So if any of you are just like I'm still
working my nine to five, but in your heart, you're preparing,
you're studying, You're getting yourself in the position you know
(12:59):
something would be present it to you. So don't don't come,
don't become discouraged. You see what malage happened to her
in the favor of God, would go before you, and
if your steps are ordered of God. I always say
God is behind the scenes, rearranging and working that stuff
that you don't even know about.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
One hundred percent per I totally agree. And I was
able to bring all of the things I was working
on on my service based business to Vine and Olive.
So little did I know I was already preparing and
working towards having this business.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
You know, that's such encouragement for listeners. So here you are,
you you take over the business. Tell us about that journey.
What keeps you motivated? What do you do when you
don't have no money? Well, how do you know, what
do you do during downtimes? Explain to that so with them.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
When she presented the opportunity to mentor me in starting
my own of the store, I was like, initially, y'all,
to be real honest, initially I was like no, no, no, no,
But then I was like, well, you know, if I
don't have to start from scratch, if I have someone
to ask to me, I don't have to start from
ground zero. That's an opportunity. So that was step one,
and then I was just going to sit on it
(14:15):
to be I was just gonna sit on it and say, well,
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
What to do.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
I just but then the opportunity came to actually have
a building a location, and I didn't want to move
forward because I'm like, great, I have mentorship, I have resources,
I have tools to start this business, but where is
it going to be? Like, what is the practically, what
are the logistics said operating a store? And then and
then god, right, and then God, and then suddenly the
(14:38):
space revealed itself. You know, a commercial property opened up
the same month that she offered to mentor me. So
it's like the steps, all all the things were revealing themselves. Right.
So then I had a location, So that removed that
initial obstacle because I thought the obstacle was, well I
don't have a location. Well then well then a location
became available. So now what my tries? Right, So now
(15:01):
I have a location, I have the mentorship, I have
the resources. So then and then I use the tools
for my service based business. I'm like, well, I know
how to get a website started, I know how to
love that, I know how to secure domain, I know
how to you know, get my leak my LLC started.
I know how to secure a bank account. So these
are the logistics, these are the practical steps and owning
a business. So because of my service based business, I
(15:23):
knew how to do that already, right. So now I
have a location, I have a name, I have I
have the product, I have a mentor, I have resources,
and so it didn't feel as scary because I had
already practiced those tools from before.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
And it's so good. Yeah, I practicate mic drop okay,
go ahead, malo trees.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
And so the money with the product based business is different.
It's different from service based, right, So just getting used
to that, how to market, how to strategize, it's different
than strategizing and marketing for a service based business. Fine,
I put myself into some some courses, you know, just learning. Right,
if you don't know something, go search it out, go
research it, Go find out what you don't know so
you can fill those now knowledge gaps. So I did that.
(16:05):
And when when funds are low, as I as we're
a growing business, your funds are sometimes low, what I
do is I always well, first of all, I look
at my money every day, right, I look at my
money every day so I can plan in advance. For me,
it helps to know to see things coming. So if
you look at your money every day, you kind of
know what's coming. You can kind of plan, right. But
(16:26):
then there are times when no amount of planning is
gonna you know, fill those gaps in money, right, So
sometimes I also look to strategy and advertising, Like, Okay,
I have a product. If the funds are low and
I know we're not going to have an influx of
money soon, how can I like strategize or market myself
in a different way to attract more people to our
product to our product? And then another thing I do
(16:49):
is I kind of if all that fails, Right, you plan,
you can only plan so much. You try strategy, you know,
you try research. I just look to It's gonna sound
che y'all, but I look to God to fill in
those gaps, to take me in places I can't go,
Like when you get to the end of yourself, that's
where God takes over. Like there are some times when
you I can't I can't plan ahead enough in advance.
(17:11):
I don't have the strategy. So I'm just kind of like, Okay, God,
I'm leaning on to make it happen. And when I
tell you constance, every time he has made it happen.
So when you get to the end of yourself, I
think that's where God takes over. Or you know, when
you get to the end of your capacity, you're just
gonna have to rest and kind of be prayerful and hopeful.
And every time that has been successful for me.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, you know, that's not cheesy. That's the real deal.
That is spirituality, that is connection with God, and so
that is very powerful. And as you were sharing so profoundly,
I actually saw you working through those steps. She had
the mentor, then she got the location. Y'all. You gotta
(17:54):
have a place to put your products, you know, your
olive OI got to have a store for people to
come into. And she mentorship, she had the place, she
had the money. And then I love it when you
said what you didn't know about the marketing strategies you
would study at night. And then you know, doctor King
(18:16):
has a profound statement, and I hope I said correctly.
It says, take the first step of faith. You know
that that the stairway, and then it will be revealed
to you how to take your next steps of faith.
So in your situation, you just every day, every moment,
(18:39):
you just taking a step by step, and then as
you do that, the vision is more open to you.
Is that right? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:46):
You said it beautifully, And actually, I are to be honest,
I learned that principle from your coaching, from your mastermind.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
In aale, I don't remember.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
That every day, like what's the next step? What's the
next baby step? Like when when the build a mounting,
when you don't know what the next what's coming? I
calm myself down and I'm like, what's the next step?
What's due tomorrow, what's due today? What's to do at
the end of this week? How can I move forward
by taking that next step? I learned that from you
and and I practice it every day.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Okay, okay, you and my mastermind and then the individual.
I remember that. So here you are expanding in your business,
what are you feeling like on the inside? And how
do you deal with fear or doubt that rises up?
Speaker 3 (19:34):
So every day it's a journey every single day, every day,
new challenges, new obstacles. I I to be honest, y'all,
I'm scared every day. I'm scared every day, But.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
I love that honesty because most business people are keep going.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I'm scared every day, but I do lean into the
principle I learn from you. What is the next step,
what needs to be done today? You know, I get
up every morning, I say my prayer. You know, I
look at my plan because I like prayer and plan.
I like how they go together. So I when I'm
afraid of when I don't know how something is going
to work out, I try to logistically, you know, make
(20:11):
it happen on my own, which is I think something
we always do. Okay, well, what can I do right?
I do what those next steps are logistically practically for
my business, and see how and see where that leads me.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Wow, you know that's amazing. And so I know you've
had some big wins, and so I know you had
one location, then you got another location, and she's such
a ball of y'all, she got a third location. Tell
us about that expansion.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
So you know, I had that first location, the same
opportunity was provided. I also got a location, and then
I was like, wow, this could be I really want
to take this to the city of Atlanta. Atlanta is
a cultural hub, is a food hub. You know, there
are a lot of different food experiences here. How can
I expand? So I started applying for different programs, different
small small business incubators, and I got into well, actually
(21:03):
one of those ended up kind of like being something
that came back around full circle. I applied to those,
didn't really hear anything. Hurt crickets, right, and then an
opportunity that I applied for many months later came back around, right,
came back around. They initially kind of said no, we're
not looking for this, but but thank you, right, And
I was like, okay, cool, no problem. But I kept going, right,
(21:26):
I kept going. I kept applying in different different incubator programs,
and then I was accepted to one and I didn't
know that there was a connection, but I was accepted
to an incubator that said, hey, we'll give you another location.
We'll put you in Atlanta. I was like, great, check, check, check,
this is what I was trying to do. And then
it turns out, constance that the place that they're they're
putting me in is the place that I originally applied
(21:48):
to before the previous year. So it kind of came
back full circle again. I don't know if you're tracking
the story but originally it was a note. You know,
the owners of that property, that group said no, and
I said okay. So I applied to different programs and
through that program, the spot they ended up putting me
at was the same location that I had originally applied for.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
And that didn't happen overnight. And you know, the principle
in what you shared was she kept planning, she kept seeking,
she didn't give up, she kept researching, She had to
be patient. Didn't look like anything was happening. But in
business and in life, if you were consistently planning the
(22:33):
seed and in your heart you have a desire to
really serve others and add value to others, it's the
universal law of everybody. It has to happen. It didn't
happen overnight, maybe it didn't happen over months, but you
just just kept going. Is that what happened? Yep.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
I kept going, and the opportunity that was originally closed,
that closed door opened again through another avenue that I
didn't see coming. So I just kind of I have
this thing where I don't take no for an answer.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
You know that.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Okay, people say no, it could be no for now, right, No,
it's not always the final answer. So what I did
was like, Okay, I hear you, I understand respectfully, thank
you for your time. Well, I'm going to go apply
for other opportunities. And then those other opportunities kind of
led me back to the original people. So yes, I
would say that that is my strategy. Don't say no,
don't don't take no for an answer, don't give up,
(23:28):
and keep planning.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Yep, that's face. And I must say, your three locations
are beautiful. Thank you. They're bushie, but they what's the
right word for your location? I think they are.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
I think they're elegant. I I kind of want you
to feel like you're in a home goods store or
like a beautiful West Elm store.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
You know.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
I think you know, when people walk past, I want
them to slow down and say, ooh, what's that? Come
on in and taste and see, yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yeah, that that is so awesome. And so tell us
about some big winds. I mean, okay, so everybody behind
the scenes, if you're in business or in life, let's
just say going to the gym. You know, maybe you
may start off going once a week, y'all know. I
talk a lot about atomic habits. The power of small
atomic habits. James clear been on a New York Times
(24:20):
bestsellers list for decades. So Marler Trees just had those
small planning, not giving up, not taking no, I'm going
to keep going forward. And as a result of that,
it's a universal tell us about some of your big winds.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
So I think one of the big winds is that
location that said no that kind of turned into a yes.
You know, like a year ter that location. That exposure
brought on an opportunity to open up a location at
the second most visited place in Atlanta outside of the airport.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
I didn't I didn't know it either. So the location
that originally said no, I just said that opportunity back
around and because of the exposure from that, other people
called and said, hey, I think we talked to you,
you know, maybe a year or so ago, but now
we'd like to offer you this space in this location,
a third locate, the second most visited in place in Atlanta.
(25:15):
And I'm like, wait what. That was not on the
radar at all, Like I just opened the email, I'm like, no,
what and so and that's been the most successful location.
So that was that was a win, right, That was
a win. Another win is we just got the opportunity
to partner with a corporation to do a taxting experience
for them, and I think that will turn into a
long term relationship. So to be able to say, hey,
(25:38):
we're in the second most visited place in Atlanta and
now we've partnered with this corporation. We just got a
proclamation for the work that we're doing in the wellness space.
We just got a proclamation from all the Atlanta City
Council members. So I'm excited to put that proclamation on
our wall and our business. That was a big win
in recently off of this weekend. This past weekend, we
(25:59):
just got the opportunity to partner with a major conference,
the Woman Evolved Conference, and that was exposure to twenty
thousand women. We got the opportunity to provide our olive
oil in the gift bags.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
For the big and so that conference is with who.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
That conference with Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts of the Potter's House.
She is the new lead pastor of the Potter's House.
She is the daughter of Bishop T. D. Jakes and
so now and her husband now her and her husband
are the lead pastors of the Potter's House, and she's
been leading this global, this global movement with her Woman
Evolved conference, and little old me I was like, you know,
(26:43):
I'm trying to do what I'm trying to do in Atlanta.
I didn't know that eyes from far and wide saw
what we were doing. But again another opportunity presenting itself
several weeks ago to partner by offering our product in
the gift bags. So now we can say we partner
with the Woman Evolved friends who was letting Pastor Sarah
(27:03):
Jax Roberts, who is leading its global movement. So that
is a huge win.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
That was okay, I want to unpack that a little bit.
So were you searching for that opportunity or did somebody
find you? So people, I'm just showing you that when
you are prepared and adding value, the spirit God would
send people to you. So how did they find you?
(27:29):
Were you searching for that opportunity? Were you praying for
How did that happen?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Absolutely? Not like I followed Pastor Sarah, but I was
just listen. I was at my day job, y'all. You know,
I'm a PA. So I was my WT, my w
two job, just minding my business.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
You know, that is so fun.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
None of my business. And I you know, I keep
tracking my emails, and it said, you know, sometimes you
gotta read emails, y'all because some of them are spam.
So right off the bat it said, hi, we are
a uh someone from her team reached out, not her herself,
but someone from her team reached out and said, we
are a fan of Vine and Olive, and we would
love the opportunity to partner with you for the conference.
(28:09):
This is what it would look like. We would need
sixteen hundred bottles by you know, a few weeks from now.
And so they reached out via email, and so somehow
they had maybe someone on her team has maybe I
mailed because I ship throughout the United States, So maybe
someone on her team saw it and tasted it and
loved it and said, hey, we need to partner with
So no, I was not searching for it. I was
(28:31):
not praying for it. It was nowhere on my radar.
I was minding my business and my day job opened
up the email. I was scared initially, y'all. Again, I
was like, I don't know that we are, you know,
really can handle that. Our disorder. We feeled at one
time request anyway we feel at one time, but I
was like, I'm taking this opportunity again being open to
taking that opportunity. So then to wrap that estimature ahead,
(28:55):
to wrap up the story, I got on the call
with them and they told us how the decision was made. Right,
so they reached out to via email. I hopped on
a call with them and they what they told us
is that Pastor Sarah had been They introduced several brands
to her. You know, hey, this is a list of
people that could potentially partner with us, and she chose
who would be in the bag.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
How many people were in the bag?
Speaker 3 (29:18):
I think maybe like maybe like eight people. I think
initially they said up to sixteen, so I thought sixteen.
But when I got to the conference and asked to
see the bag, I you know, it looked like maybe
there were making me like eight brands that made it
in the bag. I didn't count full sixteen, but initially
we were told sixteen. So out of all the brands,
out of all the people that could have been in
the bag, she specifically chose who would be in this bag,
(29:42):
and that blew my mind.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
I was like what Yeah, So right now, anybody who's
in business and you about to give up, just keep
being diligent in a spirit of excellence, adding value, serving others,
and boy, you will be found. And for her that's
(30:04):
nothing but God. But for her out of all of
these businesses that she could have chosen, and she said,
I'm gonna choose this one, this one, this one, and
then buying in all it. And so that's enough to
make you want to weep. And so I wanted you
on to really share your diligence, your faithfulness, your consistency,
(30:27):
and really share the real deal behind the scenes, you know,
for anyone who is listening, but also to show the
hand of God, to show the favor of God. See. See,
we are too much in our own self effort. People
are like, if you post a hundred, if you post
(30:51):
every time you go on TikTok, you open up the
app you need to post. Okay, do that, but do
it in a spirit of excellence. And I love what
Tyler Perry said. He said, all you need is for
one person to like you, one person to see you,
one person to say I want to help you, one
person to say I want to open this door for you,
(31:13):
and that is what has happened and will continue to happen.
That is amazing. Where you excited? Could you sleep at night?
I probably would have been up all night.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
I still couldn't believe it. Even after the call, I
was like, I can't believe this. And then you remember
I was afraid, right, I was like, But after the call,
I was like, well, I don't care about being afraid.
We're gonna make this happen. So yes, I would have
excited every every step of the way, also fearful, but
the excitement outweighed the fear. I was like, I am
not going to let this opportunity go and the way
(31:44):
I was flabbergasted by the way materialized, but so grateful
and so honored to be part of that.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
So I who knows whoever got those six was the
VIP people who got the Vietnam You know, ever know
who's gonna look at that bottle? You just never know
who can fantom the ways of God. So another principle
that I hear you sharing sharing is doing it afraid.
(32:11):
Yeah yeah, I mean okay, I don't know how I'm
gonna do it, afraid, How you're gonna fill up sixteen
hundred olive or semples doing it afraid. And I love
that part about you that even though you might be afraid,
they might not know all of the house or the
steps you go for it.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Anyway, Yep, it's important for me to know how. I'm
just that way. Explain to me the how, the logistics,
and when you don't see the how or know the how,
that can be scary.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Right.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
So I was like, Okay, well how much? And I
thought that I was gonna feel all the bottles by myself.
You cannot do this alone, y'all. And you cannot do
this alone. I had to family and friends surrounded me
and help help them help me none. I don't know
why how I thought I could do it by myself,
but that is not how it happen. Family and friends
had to pitch in. Family and friends who my other
(33:03):
family and friends asked pitched in to help. And I
just felt like so supportive, so loved, so surprised by
the generosity up there that they would like people who
didn't even know me came and helped, and so I
don't know, I'm just floored by that. And because of
their help, that's how we got it done.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Nobody does it alone. So here you are working your
what you call it your day job, my W two job,
your W two job. But then on the side you're
working your business. So how do you, as as Misssuperwoman,
how do you compartmental life because you're working on your doctorate,
(33:43):
you have your business, and then you work on your
W two job. How do you manage that or is
it manageable? On some days?
Speaker 3 (33:52):
On many days, it does not feel manageable. And I
have honesty, I really think I've kind of like extended
my or grown out of my capacity or what I
think is my capacity. So some days it's real hard, right.
That's this is not just me saying these words constance
what you taught me those years ago, just taking that
next step, that principle that you taught me. I apply
(34:14):
it every single day. I'm not just saying that because
for me it feels practical.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Right.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
So if I have if I'm working on my doctorate,
if I have all these things going on with buying
and olive, I still have deliverables in my day job.
So for me, it helps me to the best way
for me to manage it, manage it is to break
it down into baby steps. What is due today? What
can I do today? It's so easy to get overwhelmed
with what's coming right, and so when I feel myself
(34:40):
getting overwhelmed, the only thing I know to do is
to kind of slow down and break down what is
the next step, What is due today, what is due tomorrow?
And then meet those moments as they come. That helps
calm me down. I'm you know, I'm still scared. I'm
still overwhelmed, But that helps me. It gives me a
practical application of how to keep moving forward.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
You are amazing, That's all I can say. So tell
us about your business, about your product. Because I'm a
big olive ooid person. I'd rather have some good old
dressing with sugar in it. But I know that the
organic olive oil is really batter for you. So what
are some of the benefits of olive oil?
Speaker 3 (35:20):
So I think a lot of people may have heard
of the benefits of olive oil, but the benefits are
just in the nutshell. Olive oil is heart healthy, right.
It has mono unsaturated fats. Not to get too technical,
but it has mono unsaturated fats which make it healthy
for your heart. It helps increase high cholesterol levels. It
helps decrease the bad cholesterol. Well, it helps increase good
(35:41):
cholesterol levels and it helps decrease the bad cholesterol levels,
if you're tracking with me. So, the arteries love olive
oil because it promotes overall heart health, and there's research
that shows that it helps lower blood pressure. There's also
cancer research attached to it. So just overall, it's a
great element to add and incorporate in your day meals
because it helps your overall heart health.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
If that makes sense, well you the PA come on,
you know all of that.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
I was trying not to say two bigger words. I
was trying to keep it basically, is great for your
heart health, y'all.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
You know that's powerful, And so I know you have
I'm picky. You know you know a little bit about me.
I'm a picky eater. So you have different kinds of
olive oils, right, just share some of the diverse we
have that you have.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Absolutely, we have over twenty flavors of infuse, infuse olive oils,
premium olive oils. Right, and you gotta be careful, right,
you gotta all olive oils are not created the same, y'all.
So I'm talking about extra virgin olive oils. You got
to make sure the olive oil is a high quality, right, Okay,
we have so just for people research. You know, all
olive oil is not the same. A lot of the
(36:52):
olive oils and the grocery stores are refined, meaning they're
a blend of refined oils, extra virgin olive oils where
it's at. So we offer over twenty infuse flavors of
olive oils.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
So what does infuse me What does that mean? You say, infused.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Means the olives at the time of so fuse olive
oils at the time that the olive is crushed. Just
also fuse with the other fruit, the or the other
herbal essence. So we have we have for example, one
of the flavors we have is lemon. Lemon fused olive oil.
We have rosemary, So that means mary are crushed and
combined together with all of at the time that it's crushed.
(37:29):
And then infuse means the extra virgin olive oil is
infused with the natural oil essential oil essence. So we
have lemon, we have tuscan, herb, we have basil, we
have rosemary, we have the So think of all of
those delightful flavors, just elevating your everyday meal. So that's
(37:50):
what we offer. And so when you come into a
when you come into a Vining Olive store, it's an experience, right,
You're going on a tasting journey. You're gonna taste whichever
flavor calls to you, and you're gonna imagine how it
can be used in your daily meals, with your cooking,
with your drizzling, with your salads. It's amazing. So I
love taking people on a sensory food journey.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
When they come in, I know I'm getting hungry, and
I just realized. I think I said olive and vine,
But y'all know when I'm talking about vine and olive.
So and so, all my folk in the US, you
just heard what Mala Tree said. Can they go to
your website? Can where you ship it out to them?
And y'all know I wouldn't ever recommend if you want
(38:32):
a real deal. I'm a Whole Foods sprouts. Malo Trees
knows this about me, organic kind of girls. So how
can people find your website? Do you ship out to
folks all over the US and or Canada and let
us know how they can really purchase your olive oar.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
So absolutely, so you can always visit our locations here
in Atlanta. But if you don't live in Atlanta, then yes,
we ship all over the contiguous United States, so that
means that excludes Alaska and Hawaii. We're still growing, y'all,
We're still growing. So yes, we ship within the contiguous
United States. Unfortunately at this time, we don't ship to
Hawaii and Alaska. I'm grateful to be able to expose
(39:18):
people in other states, not just Atlanta, but people in
other states to the benefits and the delicious flavors that
we have in olive oil and bazombic vinegar. So yes,
we ship in. You can go visit us at vininolives
dot com.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Amazing. I told y'all she was a bawler. I've learned
so much just by being on this call and gout.
She's just not walking it out, she's talking it out.
So y'all go to her website take a look at it.
You know, I'm all about health and well being, body,
soul and spirit and investing yourself. You're not talking a
(39:57):
lot about choosing you. So when you choose whose healthy
food and you know, uh in certain countries, especially around
the Mediterranean, that's all they use.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
Absolutely, Yes, the Mediterranean diet has always been like the
one that everyone recommends because of its benefits and because
it's beneficial because of what olive oil.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Okay, you need to be a professor teaching about that.
So guys, go to her website and check it out.
Give us that website again, Malo trace.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
So vinnolives dot com. So v i n e A
n d O l I v e s vinnolives dot com.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
Amazing. So what would be just a takeaway, a mic
drop moment for people who are in business or who
have dreams, who have great aspiration, what would you say
to them?
Speaker 3 (40:53):
Well, two things she just came to mind. What I
touched on a little earlier is don't stop, don't give up,
don't take you now. That's because I'm learning and continuing
to learn that no is not always the final answer,
it's not always the final destination. So being resourceful and
just being having that spirit of not giving up, keep
moving forward, that would be something that I would tell
(41:16):
listeners to kind of develop, you know, don't give up
on yourself.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
And then.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
The other thing I would say is for me, vine
and olive is more about serving others.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Right.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
I'm a medical professional, so my day job is serving others,
and so you wouldn't think that providing olive oil is service,
But for me, it feels like service because something that's
good for your health is something that elevates your daily meals,
elevates your quality of life. So it feels like I'm
still in the service of others by offering something that's
(41:56):
high quality, premium quality, and something that's good for you,
something that will add to your life. So it feels
really good to serve others in that way, and for me,
it feels like service. So when you're pursuing a business
or when you have dreams, I think if it comes
from a place of service, it doesn't For me. It
doesn't feel like work. It doesn't feel like, oh, I'm
just doing a thing. It feels like you're still moving
(42:17):
and your calling in the service of others. So I
would just kind of like examine your dream, your goal,
your aspiration, and make sure it's coming from a place
of alignment and from a heart of service, and then
I think that will make everything fall into place and
make things a little easier because it's coming from a
pure place.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
Okay, that's what I was a millionaire said, I've interviewed
over the past seventeen years, have said, and so everybody
says that it's all about serving Mala Trees. So proud
to know you, so grateful to have had the opportunity
to coach you. Sometimes occasion I'll still call and give
(42:56):
for a little inspirational push. But she is on the road,
and the guys, make sure you visit her website and
I'm gonna be coming right back and just teaching you
some really quick business tips that you can really implement
into your own life. So guys, I want you to
stay tuned and I'm gonna be right back after these commercials.
Thank you, Mala Trees.
Speaker 3 (43:17):

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Well, I tell you what that was really amazing with
Marla Trees. What a remarkable story. But I want to
help you no matter what area in your life you
desired to really shift and change. It might be your weight,
you more money, it might be love, a new career.
(50:19):
I just want to go over and reiterate some principles,
but number one, Marla Trece was clear about what she wanted.
I'm not going to really stay on that particular principle,
but just write down what you desire and remember you
are one with God and whatever you desire, remember Spirit
(50:45):
is going to give you that empowerment. You've heard me
say before. There is so much self effort, and I'm
going to say something. I think God wants us to
be codependent on him. Spirit wants us to lean in
to that limitless vibration, that limitless that is available to us.
(51:10):
So write down what you want and I'm gonna say something.
If not now, when how long are you gonna wait?
You heard me quote doctor Martin Luther King. You know
you're not gonna know the first step, the first step
of faith up the stairway, and I'm paraphrasing. He has
a beautiful analogy and picture of that online. It's just
(51:34):
to take the first step. As you take the step,
the spirit will reveal to you what you need to do.
I align it with walking down the street, and then
when you get to the end of the street, you'll
get a knowing, an intuition turn right. So it's as
(51:55):
you move, as you move, angels move as you move.
The whole universe moved as you moved. As Marlow Tree said,
the spirit moved. So if not now, when stop waiting
til the perfect time? There is no perfect time. And
you've heard me say when the spirit said to me,
(52:19):
I thought I had to have all my ducks in
a row. You don't need no ducks. You got the spirit.
So if not now? When this came back to me, money,
I remember I interviewed a gentleman. He was a multi
multi millionaire and I heard him speaking person. He's from England,
(52:44):
and he said, never allow not having enough money to
stop you. And even James Sterling says that when you
have a big god idea. Money is looking for big ideas,
and so if you may make up your mind, I'm
going to start going to pilates to exercise, and that
(53:06):
membership is one hundred and forty nine dollars a month.
And right now you don't have the money, I would
say too, purposefully and intentionally go and visit, and as
you move, a way will be made for you. You
don't have to know how. But this guy said, never
(53:27):
let money stop you, and he came to my mind
just before I started recording this. So it has to
be for somebody. Everything or most things that I started
to do back in the day. I didn't have the
money like Marlo Trees. But when she moved, she had
(53:50):
the mentoring. I'm gonna get to that she had the mentoring.
But when you show up, money and ways will show
up for you. Let's see what else do I want
to say. I want to say you were born to win.
I mean, all of you guys have heard the story
(54:10):
about you know, when the sperm and the egg comes together.
There were thousands of sperms that didn't make it, you know,
to really connect with your mother's egg, and so you
were born to win. You were created intentionally. God has
you are here for a purpose, So put away the
(54:35):
poor me. And I'm not saying that you're not experiencing
possibly difficult times. But when you realize that while the
whole universe, all of the light atoms think about that job.
Your body is made of light atoms, and all of
the light atoms are in the universe to love, for
(55:00):
feel and support you. So that's millions of support light Adams.
Let me finish my sentence. That just waiting for you
to move, And so remember who you are. If you're
trying to lose weight, the whole universe, if you're looking
(55:23):
for a new career, the entire universe, just begin to
move and you don't have to know how. I remember
what Marla Tree said for that big conference where they
asked her a product to be featured in the VIP bags.
Why did that happen to her? How did a Reverend
(55:45):
Sarah Jackson. Why did Reverend Sarah Jacts choose her and
didn't even know her? Who could choose you, who can
make a way for you, who could open a door
for you, who could recommend you, who could say I'm
going to hire her even though she may not have
all of the qualifications. So you were born to win.
(56:11):
You were born to win, not to not to just
be mediocre. Mediocrity ain't even a part of your DNA.
So whatever it is not knowing all the answers. So
Marla Tree said, she takes it moment by moment, day
by day. What can you begin to do today? Who
(56:39):
can you call? Excuse me, who can you reach out to?
What one baby step can you begin to take today?
And then when she said doing it afraid? You do
(57:01):
it afraid. You've heard me say, the greatest antidope for
fear is action. Okay, you're afraid, but you do it anyway.
I did that. I remember I was somewhere in the Caribbean,
and you know the big balloon that you get up
in the air and they pull you on the But
(57:23):
I've forgotten the next pair of sailing. And you know
what I said. I said, I'm gonna do it because
I'm afraid. Now. I screamed the whole time, but I
did it. I did the same thing for the gigantic
Peachtree Road Race. So every year on the fourth of
(57:46):
July here in the atl we have a big race.
I mean, it's like the biggest one hundred think is
it a five k road race? I think it's six
point five. And so it's people from all over the world,
and you know, they talked about it for years and
(58:07):
oh my god, it's so hot and the humidity and
people are falling out. And then at the time the
guy out that I was dating, he said to me, Constance,
why are you afraid of that? You already walking four
or five six miles in the heat every day. And
I'm like, he said, I'll do it with you. So
(58:30):
when I did it, I did it because I was
no longer going to be afraid allowed that to just
hold me back. So you gotta make a decision. And
then I guess lastly, when she said she don't take
no fun answer, okay, no doesn't mean not ever. It
(58:56):
might mean delay, it might mean later on on, it
might mean I need more information and begin to move
in that. And I just want you, guys. I tell people, Okay,
you've read enough books, you've gone to enough conferences, you
(59:18):
have gone to enough masterminds. Move make a decision, make
a phone call, do it afraid live purposely every day
because everything that you're listening, even listening to me is great.
(59:41):
You know, sometimes I tell my clients, Okay, it's time
for you to fly on your own. Now, you can
come back and coach with me, maybe every two or
three months, and they always say no, y'all. I'm not bragging,
but it's the truth. And so I just realized, Wow,
(01:00:06):
they need to be on their own. So I'm just
saying to you it is time for you to move.
If not now, when take your first baby step, And
if in fact you feel like you need some help,
I'll help you put your training wheels on your tricycle. Y'all,
(01:00:28):
remember the tricycle with the training wheels. Then I'll help
you take them off, and then you will elevate to
a bicycle and then you may get into cycling. And
I'm using that metaphorically, if you know what I mean.
But let's move, Let's walk fully in who we are.
(01:00:49):
Let's make a decision. Like malo trees, we are no
longer going to shrink down. We're not gonna be small anymore.
We're gonna walk in the fullness, the boldness you've heard
me say last week. I made a decision some weeks ago.
God gave it to me that I am fearlessly. Now,
(01:01:13):
he said, I am audaciously and fearlessly moving forward partnering
with God, knowing that in that partnership I have all
of the wisdom, knowledge, support, empowerment that I need to
(01:01:35):
keep moving towards my dream. All right, this has been
so good. I really really just love bringing you people
who are I'm gonna say, ordinary people are doing extraordinary
thing choosing to live extraordinary lives. So if you have
