This is Pillow Talk with Allie Michelle on the podcast Network.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Welcome back to another episode of pillow Talk with Ali Michelle.
I am your host, Ali Michelle. This episode is going
to get a little graphic. There's something terrible, terrible, terrible
that happened in Cleveland, and it's not getting enough attention.
In my personal opinion, it's a story about this little girl,
five year old girl, and this mother who is trying
(00:48):
to fight for justice and she keeps hitting brick walls.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
So let's just roll into it. So the other day
I was scrolling on Facebook and I came across this
woman name and tay Kenny Brew and it's wild. So
three days ago she posted this, right, so three days
ago would have been tennety seventh, the seventh, and she said,
(01:15):
I'm September thirteenth, so over a month ago, right. This
woman has been fighting for justice for her daughter and
she had nowhere else to turn to, so she decided
I'm going to go to Facebook, and good for her
because this is absolutely gut wrenching and heartbreaking. I'm just
going to read you what her status said. On September thirteenth,
(01:39):
twenty twenty five, my daughter resided at a trusted family
member's residence around the area of one forty fifth in
Saint Clair while I underwent a medical procedure. While she
was wait, I got a phone call from my family
member stating that my daughter walked out of her house
and she couldn't find her anywhere, and that the authorities
(01:59):
were contacted. I immediately, I immediately was filled with panic.
I rushed out of my house, excuse me, and arrived
at the scene. As I got there, I ran to
the EMS truck, where I found my daughter unresponsive, bloody,
with her hair pulled from her scalp, her body covered
in bruises, her fingernails filled in with dirt, her eyes
(02:22):
filled with blood, Her neck showed signs of strangulation, her
mouth and lips bloody, her private area filled with debris
and dirt, and a big lump on her head. I
couldn't believe what I saw in front of my in
front of me, my daughter did not look like herself.
She was traumatized. She was shaking. She was shaking up.
(02:43):
A group of bigger kids around ages eight, nine and
ten walked up to my daughter, presenting them themselves as friendly,
took her by her hand and walked her to the
field that was far away from the residents. In that field,
they beat my daughter until she was unconscious. They ripped
out her hair. They held my daughter down as they
(03:04):
raped her. They also shoved sticks down her throat and
down her private area. They stripped her naked and strangled
her with her own shirt. One of the children then
proceeded to take out his private area and leave her
copboard in their urine. They beat her and penetrated her
until she was unconscious and unresponsive. One out of the
(03:24):
three kids integrated their teeth on my baby's bottom bottom
area to hold her still as they sexually assaulted her.
And the kids left her where she was where she
was not telling no adult thinking they succeeded in killing her,
and they continued playing my playing my family member. As
(03:45):
she was still looking for my daughter saw two out
of the three children that lives on her street that
she had not knew at the time harmed my daughter
and walked up to them and asked them if they
saw the little girl, and they stared at her with
no remorse and told her no and continued playing, knowing
they had just what they had just done to my daughter.
(04:06):
As my family member went back to her house waiting
on the authorities, the same kids who she had questioned
came to her with their mother, saying that they know
where my daughter is. The same two kids that stated
they did not know where my daughter was, now with
their mother took my family member to where my daughter
was found in the field, naked, brutally beaten, penetrated, and unresponsive.
(04:29):
Her clothes, her hair, and later found her shoes was
scattered all over the field. My cousin panicky placed panically
placed my daughter in her vehicle, rushed her back to
her house, and continued waiting for the authorities to get there.
My daughter is completely traumatized. I am completely traumatized. These
kids broke my daughter's spirit. They spoke her, they took
(04:51):
away her boundaries, They penetrated her and constantly beat her.
I never wanted to get to the media involved, because
I don't want my daughter's trauma plashed everywhere where. She
has constantly seen what happened to her and what she's
been through, and I also trusted that she was going
to get justice that she needed. I am bringing this
to the media today because the authorities are failing my daughter.
(05:13):
They are trying to tell me that two kids can't
and won't be charged because they were eight to nine
years old, even though they attempted to murder my baby,
they raped and beat her. They are saying, legally, these
two boys cannot be charged. I need help and I
need justice from my daughter. I have reached out to
Legal Aid at the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association for legal help.
(05:34):
I also reached out to the Rape Crisis to get
me a victim advocate that I was told can help
me on the criminal justice side. I have been advocating
for my daughter and I'm not getting any help. I
also contacted the Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio office to try
and get help. I have not received any yet. I
need you all to understand them. If those two kids
(05:56):
mothers did not bring those boys back to my family
member and let my daughter know where and let where
my daughter was, my baby wouldn't be found right now
and she wouldn't be alive. They literally tried to kill
my daughter. These are not normal kids. Theirselves and their
parents need to be held accountable for my daughter. She
(06:19):
is having behavioral problems. She is mentally not okay. I
am mentally not okay. Me not getting justice for my
daughter makes me feel like I failed her. She is
saying suicidal things. She is breaking down. She hates talking
about what happened to her, and I'm breaking down with her.
I have sat with her, I have set her up
with a therapist, and also seeking one for myself. I
(06:41):
cannot sleep, I can barely eat. I keep repeatedly seeing
images of my baby in that field. She is only five,
and these horrific things, and these horrific things have happened
to her. Please help me, please help. Please look at
this and if and if it was your own kid.
This is not gossip. This is not a funny matter.
This is nothing to take This is nothing to not
take serious. This is our life. Please please help. There
(07:05):
is more graphic photos of my daughter when she looked
way worse, and I am not comfortable posting in this
you guys. And then, as of two days ago, the
Cleveland Division of Police finally responded, saying that they are
aware of a post recently shared regarding an ongoing case.
The Division of Sex Crimes and Child ABUSI is actively
(07:26):
investigating a matter involving multiple children under the age of ten,
both as victims and suspects. Due to the sensitive nature
of this case, releasing an additional information at this time
could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation and compromise the
privacy and the constitutional rights of those involved. And then
as of one day ago, Cleveland News finally picked it up,
(07:46):
and as of an hour ago, she has said that
I've been told to delete my last posts about these
two kids doing evil things because I'm slandering them. The
law cares more about them than my daughter. This crap,
this is disgusting. I'm done posting on here. They do
(08:09):
not care. And as of today ten ten, twenty twenty five,
there is a donation drive for her. Her name is
Maria or I'm sorry, her name is Marie and the
donation center is at three one five five Martin Luther
King Drive, Cleveland, Ohio from three pm to five pm.
(08:32):
The fact that this mom had to fight this hard
and still everything is so quiet on it that leads
me into the Cyahaga prosecutor slams juvenile court for probation
in teen's eighteenth felony case. See the thing That's wrong
with the Juvenile Court in Cuyahoga County. I've witnessed is
that these kids just get slapped on the wrist. They're
(08:54):
not being held accountable eighteen felonies. So Prosecutor Michael Maley
attacked the division, as his office wanted the team placed
in a facility run by the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
The court is sending him the wrong message, he told
Cleveland dot Com. And the message that they're sending him
is keep doing what you're doing because nothing happens. So
(09:14):
that ties into these young kids. Yes they're eight, nine
and ten, but they still need to have some sort
of responsibility in order to learn the lesson. You can't
just go and grab a young girl and then brutally
beat and rape and do all these terrible things to
them and not have any repercussions. These kids are learning
it somewhere, they're seeing it somewhere, and that it's disgusting.
(09:38):
And then Mike O'Malley decides, goes on and says, a
majority of the judges in juvenile court are following this
type of philosophy where they ignore community first, he said,
and then Timothy McDivitt, the court's administration administrator, disagreed. In
a statement to Cleveland dot Com, he said rules prevent
the court from commenting on any of these decisions. Quote
(09:59):
howevernile court jurists are dedicated and committed continuously to ensuring
their decisions reflect the best interests of the child and
the community at large. Cleveland area youth crime has been
a hot topic or a hot button issue for years.
Kylehagan County sends more children to the state's youth services
and binds over more cases to adult court than any
(10:22):
other county in the state. Public defenders say, but the
person that we're talking about it, says the Cleveland dot
Com and the plane Dealer reached out to the teen's
attorney and the judge in this case for a comment.
The seventeen year old was arrested on August twentieth by
Magistrate Elisa to eight months of probation and one year
suspended sentence at a state youth facility. The team admitted
(10:44):
to a third degree felony failure to comply and fourth
degree felony receiving a stolen vehicle, along with misdemeanor offenses.
The charges were his twenty third and twenty fourth delinquency case.
The youth offenses began when he was just eleven years old.
So back it up to that woman's story. These kids
are eight, nine, ten, So this kid started at eleven.
(11:07):
What can these kids be going like? What will these
kids also commit their starting because they're starting so young.
So according to the prosecutors, he admitted to a felony
charge of adduction and gross sexual imposition in an assault
on a girl in a school bathroom and was sentenced
in twenty twenty one to nine months of just probation.
(11:29):
Since then, the youth has been charged with numerous offenses,
some of which are conducted to twenty stolen vehicles. According
to the prosecutors. In one instance, the team fled from
the police and the stolen vehicle at the speeds of
one hundred and twenty miles per hour. To the prosecutor,
the teen's other offenses including punching a girl in the
face of school, threatening to shoot staff at a local library,
(11:49):
and assaulting other use and the juvenile detention. According to
the prosecutors, in each case, the team has given probation
some of the conditions, including suspended sentences to the state
facilities to home detention with GPS monitoring. You spent more
than one hundred and fifty days in detention in total
while awaiting proceedings. Prosecutor set However, at this time the
(12:11):
youth had a positive report at home, school, and community
and compliance with all court orders. Therefore, the objection is overruled.
O'Malley called the case a quote post to child of
what is wrong with the juvenile court. Quote she not
just in this case, in many cases, is not taking
public safety into account, and the community is more dangerous
(12:33):
because of it, O'Malley said, quote in juvenile court we
do not try to rehababilitate, but at some point the
pendulum needs to swing towards community first. Quote. Every one
of those stolen cars is a tremendous impact in the
lives of those victims, and it seems like the victims
are being completely ignored, which now brings me back to
(12:54):
Antivia Kenny Brew and her daughter a Maria. Excuse me, Aumrie.
There are real victims out here who are subject to
these terrible crimes by these sick individuals. Where where it
starts at home. All these broken homes are creating these
(13:15):
rebellious kids that just that think that crime is the
only way, and the other kids who are innresponsible, whom
with responsible parents, are the ones who are being the
victims are subject to these horrific crimes for whatever reason.
It's it's sickening. Things need to change. These judges need
(13:37):
to be held accountable for these kids that are just
getting getting slapped on the wrist and get pushed through
society as if they're not going to commit crimes as
an adult. It's a pattern, just like these eight, nine,
ten year olds who committed this crime on this little
five year old. She was minding her own business, she
was doing her thing while she was ripped that from
her yard. That is sick. The kids that were responsible
(14:00):
definitely need to be held accountable. The parents need to
be held I don't know, parenting classes. Maybe good thing
that these parents brought these kids to to the to
the family, because who who knows? Who knows what other
crimes they've committed or will commit. So I stand firm
with Michaelmalley. I think the Cyahoga County juvenile justice system
(14:20):
does need fixed. It's it's it's crumbling, and these judges
are just letting these these these criminals just because they're
kids doesn't mean they're not criminals. They're criminals. They're committing crimes.
They need to be held accountable. My prayers go out
to anti va A Marie and all the kids that
are suffering at the hands of the of these sick
(14:43):
individuals and who are being just brushed under the rug
by the Cayahoga County Court juvenile system. It's it's a
travesty and and and and my deepest condolences. I do
hope that you guys, and and many others in Cleveland
go do dont to Amory again. The address is three
(15:05):
one five five Martin Luther King Drive, Cleveland, Ohio from
three pm to five pm Friday, October tenth, twenty twenty five.
So they said, anything and everything is appreciated there. She's
so thankful for the community coming together. And unfortunately, I
do hope you know, unfortunately that the court is just
not taking this serious. So it needs attention. It needs
(15:28):
to be brought to light. Justice for Amory is most important.
