Speaker 1 (00:00):
Heywardos, I just wanted to drop in to let you
know why things have been so sporadic the last few days.
You may have noticed that I was able to get
some bonus bytes up, but not some new regular episodes,
and the Retro Radio has been sort of off and
on the last few days as well. Mostly the reason

(00:20):
for this is the weather here triggers my headaches and
that just takes me out, and so what I've been
doing the last couple of days is sleeping, waking up,
doing a couple of hours work, and then going right
back to bed. And it's just been that way for
like the last gosh, seventy two hours or more. So

(00:43):
it's been really difficult to just get anything done. But
I was able to get little things done here and there.
The bonus bytes don't take quite as much time as
the regular episodes. That's why I was able to get
those up a little bit easier. The retro radio marathons,
they're not hard to put together, but they are time
consuming to put together, and since I haven't had the

(01:04):
time at least not the time awake, that's why they've
been sort of sporadic as well. So just wanted to
let you know about that. By the way, we've been
talking about we my doctor and I have been talking
about my headaches, and turns out they're not really migraines.
I've thought for years now that that's what they were,
and I've been taking the medications for migrains. Well, no

(01:27):
wonder it's not working the way it's supposed to, because
they're actually tension headaches, which can be just as severe,
but it's just a different type of headache. I guess
migrains you can you really feel a sharp pain on
one side of your head, or like behind your eyes,
really sharp. Mine are more of a vice against the

(01:48):
whole head. It actually feels like my head's being squeezed sometimes,
or there's a baby in my head trying to push
my eyeballs out from behind. And you know I have
tension anyway. I'm actually on on a couple, well not
a couple, a certain muscle relaxer. I take two pills
of it. That's why I thought of a couple. But

(02:10):
there's a muscle relaxer I take because I hold all
of my stress and tension in my neck and shoulders
and I have for years, and so we thought maybe
that was part of the reason. So we the doctor
originally thought migraines and tension headaches. That's why we were

(02:30):
going with the muscle relaxers as well, and they do
help some when it comes to the to the tension,
the stiff neck and everything else. I still get it,
but not nearly to the not nearly to the level
that I used to. It just turns out my tension
headaches are a lot worse than a lot more severe
than we thought. So it's not I don't really have
I don't think we don't think it's It's still debatable,

(02:53):
but evidence is leaning towards me not really having migraines
per se. They're actually just really severe tension headaches. And
sometimes the migrain medicine will work. I'll take the Suma
trip tan, which is just on an as needed basis
for migrains. It does seem to kick the tension headaches

(03:15):
a little bit. Because I think maybe this is just
me talking, not my doctor. I think maybe there's a
combination of migrain and tension because I'll get that woozy feeling,
that vertigo feeling. It's not really dizziness. It's not like
the world is spinning. It's just sort of a woozy.
It's hard to explain. I've never been drunk or high,

(03:36):
so I don't know if if that's the way you
would describe it. It's just sort of a light kind
of not even a light headedness, a heavy headedness. Maybe,
like I feel like I just need to do like
this and just stay like that for a while. I
don't know. Anyway. The Suma trip tan does seem to
help with that a little bit sometimes, but then I'll
also double up on other things like ibuprofen, and i

(04:01):
got excepted in migrain and I've got mine doll and
some of aspirin. I've got an entire medicine cabinet here
right above me, so that's why I'm looking up. It's
like I've got just about everything out in there except
for except for menstruation medicine because I don't really need that.
That's a lot. Never mind, it's a menstruation. You think

(04:24):
men would be involved with that, but no menopause. No, no,
men don't have menopause? Or do they? Is there menopause?
Do I know? And why is it a guyn ecologist?
Because a guy is that for guys? Okay, moving on,
I need more caffeine in my system apparently, But anyway,

(04:45):
just all of that just to say, that's why, that's
why the things have been sort of off and on
when it comes to episodes recently, So I'll try to
get back back on track with those. From what I understand,
the weather is supposed to be pretty nice this week.
There was a very slight chance of raining this morning
when I woke up, but I'm feeling okay today and
that chance of rain was only twenty percent and it

(05:06):
was supposed to start about twenty minutes ago and looks
dry outside, so I think we're all right. So I'm
going to try to get some stuff done today and
maybe get back on track. Thank you so much everybody
for being so supportive of Weird Darkness, what I do
here on YouTube and the podcast on Patreon. You guys
are amazing. I really do appreciate it. Hitting that one

(05:29):
hundred thousand mark of subscribers on YouTube the other day
just floor. It still floors me. I still have a
hard time believing we actually made that milestone. Thank you
very much for everything. I really do appreciate it.
