Speaker 1 (00:07):
Bill cunning in the Great America. Welcome this Wednesday afternoon,
the Tri State Reds Baseball kicks off about six ten
to night. First pitch by Otani at seven ten, the
red should be up two to oh. Instead they're down
o two. We'll see what happens. Hope springs eternal, And
of course we've had on later, We've we're going to
have on later. I think Governor Mike Dwine as an
announcement to make later this hour or two, we're going
(00:29):
to find out when he's available. He's attending the funeral
of that police officer murdered in the line of duty,
so we completely understand his unavailability. But at some point
today any case to me, he's going to call in.
But until them. Jim Mooring, the proprietor of the Holy Grail,
welcome again to the Bill Cunningham Show. And I noticed
many names on this missive the ninety five theces pounded
(00:50):
on the cathedral door in Wittenberg about what's wrong, and
I didn't see the name Jim Mooring from the Holy Grail.
I saw all the other Great restaurant tours. Did you
were to sign that saying we got a problem here?
In River City or not. And if he didn't sign it,
why didn't you? If you did sign it, why did you?
And if you didn't sign it, would you like to
sign it? And if you signed it, why didn't you
(01:10):
sign it? You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
There were you know, us little west side guys who
are the blue collar guys don't.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Get asked to sign things like that.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
It's got to be Ruby, it's got to be Montgomery,
and you gotta be Boca Boca.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, you know Evan Dean, you know Tommy Gregory. That's
that's kind of the mantle, right. I mean, those are
the guys that should be pushing it. I'm just down
here on the street level trying to send beer. Things
done in another sell beer, selling people fat and drunk?
Will I get people fat and drunk?
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Will he? Thanks?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
That's why I seg gloves to go there. But let's
talk about what's happening with violence and out of control
youth and others. Talk about the music festival. Begin with
the idea that you and others put up a quarter
of a million dollars to have your own like police force.
Explain what happened?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Well, you know, I think the root of this thing
is the chaos that the kids are causing downtown.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
And it's nothing new.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
It's something that you know, we have been proactively working with.
You know, the Reds have been great partners, the Bengals
have been great partners, the folks that on Brady have
been great partners. And we all got together and said, Okay,
in our specific area, what can we do? And so
we went to twenty one and over, fully supported by
the police department, fully supported by the city, the administration,
(02:34):
and you know, beginning in April we went to twenty
one and over and for us, it has been great.
It has been great for the police officers in our
area because it peels off that chaos of these kids
and it gives them the ability to focus on the
things they should be focusing on.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
And you know, that is it's unfortunate that we had
to do it, but that's what we did.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
And you know, we're the ones that are down there
living this every day and seeing what's going on. Look,
we're acutely aware of what's going on, but now it's
actionable times to say, Okay, what are we doing moving forward?
But I have to say, Willie, one of the things
that's so frustrating is that this past week, you know,
look at the last two nights and Red Lakes should
(03:20):
have won both games. But you know, we've had roughly
what thirty five thousand people at night, seventy thousand people
over two days. Not a huge home stand. No last
week nothing had a huge, huge Reds home stand against Tampa.
There's no issues. Yeah, none of us are going to
walk away from anything and say, hey, everything's honky Dorian Downtown.
(03:41):
I get that, but we have a viral video that
is absolutely horrific that has gone out that has really
taken a hold to say, Okay, we do, we do
have some things. But what you say is, you know,
let's think about how many people have been down there
and how were problems we've actually had over the last
(04:03):
specifically an area over the.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Last five days.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
You know, Reds are in the middle of a came
home stand and by all countsl last two nights, no issues, Sunday,
no issues, Saturday, no issues.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Then, So that's the point. Because of the quarter million
dollars you spend, cops have told me, it pushes the
problems from you, from the banks, it pushes them elsewhere
other parts of the Banks Fountain Square up up to
OTR and so it doesn't solve the problem, but pushes
it somewhere else. And so these other restaurant tours, the
(04:36):
elite crowd, you know, the Shrimp, Flombay and Lobster Newburgh crowd,
they have to hire their own security force. Procter and
Gamble have their own police. Western and Southern have their
own police fit. Third Bank have their own police. The
restaurants are hiring in uniform deputy sheriffs, well armed in
city cops in order to walk their employees to the
cars and make sure customers don't run in, grab a
(04:59):
stake off a plate and run out. And the customers
somehow get the feeling that I'm protected. So you may
be okay, But I think about this city in general.
What does this say about our city when entities in
town have to hire their own police department.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Well, I will.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Say, and you know, I ran caddies for years, and
we've been down at the Grail fifteen years.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
We've always hired off duty detail cops, and our crowd
is obviously a little bit different.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
It is a game of whack mole, And I understand
it's a game of whack mole. I will say that
what we have championed and what we are pushing for,
and I hope that everybody who signed that letter, And
to answer your.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Question, I wasn't asked to sign the letter. I don't
know if I would have not have. I haven't. I
haven't really, I haven't really read it. But the reality
is what we.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Are advocating for, what we think should happen, is to
start pushing these kids, pushing these parents, pushing the justice
system to hold these people accountable. Right now, it's so
ambiguous on what this curfew law is that there's no
teeth to it. Now, if you're a cop, if you're
(06:08):
a cop, you're going up to these kids.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
How old are you? I'm not telling you how I
am right? Well, yeah, tell me howlla door. Why?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
So, there has to be something very clear cut. There
has to be a place for these kids to be taken.
There's a lot of things that need to be worked out.
And what we're hoping is that this pushes that forward,
that this agenda now that everybody, everybody wants Downtown to
be the safest place in the world.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
We need it to be willing.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
I've got eighty people that work for me, that depend
on your crowd, your listeners coming down and supporting us
to help them, support their families, to put them through schools.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
You know, that's where we're at. That is reality. I
keep on seeing. Don't go downtown and there's this boycott
and that boycott. Folks, come on down.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
If you want to see the city of Cincinnati survive
and thrive, come down, because I'm telling you you get
into this zone of oh, hey, what should we do?
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Well?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
You know, we have a lot of people that work
for us that depending on your crowd to come down.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
And Jim morri and the Holy Grail, one of the
restaurant tourists, told me that we don't want to become
Saint louis We don't want to become Louisville, don't want
to become Cleveland, in which the sports teams are moving
to the southern part of the county because of all
the bs around Brown STATEIU. And we want something different.
And Cincinnati is so unique, I don't think ever western
(07:29):
southern it is. And John Barrett, the Barrett family, Bill
Barrett and Mike Barrett and Fran Barrett. The Barretts aren't
going anywhere, but I fear the day that whether it's
Kroger who told their employees, look, it is too dangerous
here if you want work from home. I don't want
to see Proctor and God, Proctor and Gamble say, you
know what. We fought this for twenty years. Our employees
(07:51):
are not safe, and we fund it largely. Steve Leeper
in the three c DC, we put the money together
to redo OTR, the Central Business District. And I feared
the day that Proctor and God says, you know what,
this is too dangerous. That's what happened to Toledo with
Owen's Corning and over Owen's Fiberglass. They left town. And
the pillars of this community are western and southern. Fifth
(08:14):
Third Bank throw in Kroger, Western and southern, of course,
so they Joseph Automotive Group, the hospitals you see and
Xavier when you see campus at Ludlow Avenue at night
have street takeovers in which the streets are blocked off
in front of the fire department there in Ludlow Avenue,
and people have brandishing guns and they shut off the
(08:36):
streets and police aren't showing up. That's a problem, and
it's not being and I think what about that?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Well, but I go the opposite direction. Those are the
people that are going to pull us out of this thing.
You know, when you have local owners like the Cassolini family,
like the Brown and Blackburn families, like the John Barretts,
you know, those are the folks that are going to
lead us through this and you know we're coming out.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
We're going to come out of this thing stronger than ever.
I'm convinced of it. Now. What I would encourage people
do today, go thank a cop. You know what, These.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Guys are out there busting their asses right now in
every way, shape or form, doing everything they can for
the city, and they're being told it's a thankless job
and it's not.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
So do us all favor thank a cop.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Tell everybody thank you, and let's let's honk her down
here and get past this thing and get through it
and get things done that need to be done.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
And Jim Morrien, we need a plan beginning with the
mayor who's on a constant vacation and the city manager
that looks overwhelmed, and a police chief. I have empathy
for Teresa Thiji. She often doesn't look right. She looks
down at her dump. Oh my god, she's blaming video
for what happened.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
I will, I will, I will say this about the chief.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
We have so many Cincinnati Police friends, so many in
the command staff that are friends, and and I will
tell you to a person may.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Support her right and right now, right now.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
She's the cheap and she is in a tough spot.
She has been nothing but great with us, and she's
in a tough spot. I would look at the justice
system more than I would the police police.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
She says. And the parents, the parents at home.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah, it's incredible, Willy to go down there at three
o'clock in the morning, down by Small Park and you
see ten, eleven, twelve year old kids down there.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
It's it's unbelievable to me.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
You know, I had folks that are calling me up saying,
three o'clock in the morning, what's going on? I said
on jazz Fest weekend, some of the events don't ent
till two o'clock in the morning. And if you don't
think there's gridlock from two to five, at two, it's
about two to four am. Downtown is gridlock because it's
not the festival goers, it's people that are coming in
from every place else.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
The other issue is leadership. And you may not know
a woman named Victoria Parks, but she's been on city
council for a while. She's somewhat eclectic, shall we say,
with those three and four inch long fingernails and pink hats,
but that I'm a little eclectic myself. So I get
that she had up posting.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
These you have you have?
Speaker 1 (11:12):
You have three inch fingernails, not exactly, and I don't
wear pink hats except on the golf course. But she
made a post at six twenty seven am this morning
from a leader of our city quote, they beg for
that beatdown. I'm grateful for the whole story, Victoria parts.
They begged for it. So she's claiming that the victims
(11:32):
of the vicious, brutal assault, they beg for that beatdown.
Your comments about city leadership, I will tell you that
nobody begs for a beatdown.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
And you know, let's let the justice system decide what
happens to whom in this scenario. And I think the
folks that have been arrested were the aggressors.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
I think.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
So the video doesn't the video doesn't lie, I don't think,
because the chief of police doesn't want the video out,
she said. At the first news conference, she looked at
the media and pointed her finger at the media and said,
you're the blame. It's your fault for publicizing the video.
You did it and was that a bad moment? Was
that a bad moment for her?
Speaker 2 (12:14):
I think does a bad moment, But I also think
talking to some folks, there is a much longer video
in the way it was edited, was in such a
way that.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Let's get that out there. Earlier we did the white
guy use the N word? Did he slap somebody in
the face.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
I have no idea.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
I have no idea.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
But the city council member Park says they beg for
that beatdown. That's a leader.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Well, you know again, I will go back to there's
got to be some changes, yeah, in the entire system.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
And I will say this time and time again.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
The folks on the street, the cops, the police chief,
the administration, the staff had been nothing the great to
work with and are really being thought out. I mean,
people keep on talking to me about these scooters and
the red bikes and things that people are kind of
chuckling about, saying it doesn't do anything it does, folks,
You know what it does. It doesn't allow these kids
(13:14):
to pile four kids on a scooter and go running
amuck and go into the park and bring all their
buddies down.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
They get on social media. You know why they won't
If they don't use a scooter.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
The park is not getting as crowded because the kids
are too lazy.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
To walk down there.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Well are you too lazy to go in other places?
So it is meaningful when Red bike shuts down. It's
meaningful when the scooters shut down. It's meaningful and not
a sad commentary.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
And that off it is. That's awful, now, we hear right?
And these these are ten twelve year olds about to
have gone sixteen year olds, about to become the next
Ryan Hinton. These are kids that they can't I guess
you can't steal cars yet and break in the windows,
et cetera. So you get the red bike, pile on
and just have fun rolling around at two o'clock in the.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Morning, and it's scooters. It's three o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
We'll pole on the scooters and you know that they
will go and they will try to break into places.
They will get into parks, they will go everywhere they
can because that's what kids are going to do if
they're completely unfettered by the system and by their parents.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
That's just reality with these drones. The drones are being used,
and they're being utilized.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
If you haven't seen it yet, when there's some people
who are in a place where they shouldn't be and
a drone comes over with a spotlight on it and
a very loud speaker telling you to leave, and you're
going to be out in your own video, and now
they have your face and they have the face recognition,
people tend to leave and that's something.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
So then that's something.
Speaker 6 (14:40):
Yeah, So let me ask you the big question today.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
How many runs can we get off with Tommy tonight?
Speaker 1 (14:47):
I think you'll be knocked out in a third inning
the Reds win eight to three. Write that down.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
I agree. It should be a serious sweep on a
Red leg.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Should be bad play by our shortstop, who Marty says
should be in said in our field. But that's a
different story, all right, Jim Moring. We got to run.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
But Q they saw about vacations, drawn about vacations.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Marty's perpetually on vacation. I want to be him. Yeah,
well no, noo, folks, please give us all a chance
down there.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Understand that again, what we have two hundred and fifty
thousand people the last couple of days seventy thousand people.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Right, We're not going to say it's great. Don't get
me wrong.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
I understand there's issues, but you also have a lot
of people working behind the scenes to try to get
past all this.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Now, Jim, you're one of the pillars of Cincinnati, along
with Brittany Ruby and the Gregory's and salas Are and
the Boca crowd. But we'll see what happens. We get
the government we deserve, and at times that concerns me
and the voters have a chance in three months to
change the leadership of this town and do a lot
of a better day. We need to mayor this not
on vacation, actually working. You know, I have to appear
(15:51):
of all signed up for this, and he's absent without leave,
and we have a season.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
We need some judges.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
We judges. Well, you know, Carrie Bloom is about the worst.
She thinks everyone gets one or two felonies before anything happens.
That's in juvenile court. Give a kid one or two
or three felonies before something happens, and that's terrible. We
have our magistrate named Anita Birding who gives low bonds
to people that shoot other people. And that's a problem.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
So let's correct and I think let's correct that and
let's get these kids off the streets that way that
it stops that chaos which.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Allow the cops to do some real work.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Nat once again, thanks for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show.
And Jim, you're a great American. Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Thanks William God bless America.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Let's continue with more que the red bikes, the scooters,
the drones. How about the parents in juvenile court? Arrest, try,
convict and sentence. Now there's a social welfare program right there.
Bill Cunningham, News Radio seven hundreds.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
You ought to be.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Billy Cunningham, the great American. And of course our governor
has been attending the the services for a fallen police
officer in northern Ohio. But he's kind enough to accept
our call now and Governor Mike DeWine, welcome to the
Bill Cunningham Show. And first of all, Governor, it was
a deep sadness that the passing of a police officer
in the Cleveland area and you tend at the funeral
(17:16):
this morning, Is that correct?
Speaker 6 (17:19):
Well, I did, Bill. This is so very very sad.
Phil Wagner, police officer, Lorraine City Police Department, married, got
a five year old, three year old and I think
a three month old. You know, he served in Afghanistan,
had a tour over there in the Marines, came back
(17:41):
and you know, wanted to continue serving the public. And
so it's just a horrible tragedy. He was really ambushed.
He and two other officers were all head and you
know saw one of the officers there there today, two
of them actually there today at the funeral. You know,
(18:02):
they were all hit and he did not survive. So
just very very sad. It just reminds us how you know,
the job of a police officer is today, and you
know he was they were targeted because they were police.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Officers, right, just like in New York City last night.
This is a deep tragedies disrespect for cops. But on
the issue what's happening in Cincinnati. You're more or less
a great Reds fan. You live in Green County and
you have connections here of course, and what's happening in
River City right now is really unspeakable. We're going to
(18:39):
have twenty thousand shots fired in the city this year,
We're going to have about twenty five thousand, thirty thousand
crimes committed. We're going to have four hundred people wounded,
maybe up to one hundred murdered. And the city's in crisis.
And what can you tell us about what you can
do and what your conversation has been with the mayor?
Speaker 6 (18:59):
Well know, you know, just kind of set this up
for everybody. Ohio is unique in the sense that we
don't have a state police. We have a highway patrol.
They have limited care of fiction, which means that we
can come in and help. We can come in and
back up the local police. Now, we have put kind
(19:22):
of a since I became governor, we've put a kind
of a package together, and we've gone where we've been
asked to go with our cities. For example, we've done
this in Cleveland several different times. We've done it in Toledo,
We've done it in Dayton, We've done it Youngstown, done Springfield.
And what we can do and this is what I
(19:44):
called the mayor this morning, and you know, kind of
laid out what we can do, and he said yes
that he would like some you know, kind of back
up help, and so we're going to do this. But
let me just quickly out line what this is. One is,
you know, the Highway Patrol comes in and we do
(20:08):
a do a real data analysis of where you know,
where that where that crime is. So everything is data driven. Uh.
And I'm sure that you know Cincinnati has data as well,
but you know that's where we always start. Uh. And
then then you know, we bring in the Highway Patrol
again to work with the police department. You know, this
is hand in glove working very very closely with the
(20:31):
men and women of Blue in Blue in Cincinnati, and
we've worked with them. You know, we've worked with them
before on different different things and and the cooperation is
always very very good. So you know, it's amazing. You
know what you can find just on traffic stops and
you know you have a reason to pull the guy
(20:52):
over it maybe they run him and this guy has
got to you known, outstanding warrant. Uh. Maybe you know
he on parole. So you know, we work very very close.
The other thing that we can do and we're going
to do here is is you know, put the helicopter
up in the air. These helicopters are amazing. I was
(21:13):
up in one a few months ago in Cleveland, one
of ours when we were doing one of these programs
like I'm describing here, and you know, it's got the
visual that you can just you can almost see, you know,
you can almost read the license plate. And sometimes you
can read the license plate and you just and what
you know, you're pulling someone over. And these guys are
(21:35):
many times dangerous. So what you don't want is a
high speed chase. And so we can eliminate a lot
of those. And by having that helicopter just follow that
car once we know we're going after that car, working
with the police department on the ground, it can make
a big, big difference. So having that up on the
up there. You know, a lot of these individuals, as
(21:58):
you and I have talked four Bill have records. You
know they should. You know, one of one of the people,
uh you know involved in Cincinnati is you have reported
you know it shouldn't have been out. No, really he
was out on bond. But really bond. I think it
was only four hundred dollars equivalent, four hundred dollars, so
he's he was out, but he you know, he had
(22:21):
the possession of a stolen gun. So not like this
never just should should be out, but there are there
are a lot of people like that that are out there,
and so you really go you target those those individuals.
Speaker 7 (22:32):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
We can also do someone the cover work. We bring
in other departments. We're bringing our liquor control folks uh
and and they can do some things frankly around liquor establishments.
Speaker 8 (22:45):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (22:45):
And they're pretty good at uh, you know, spawning people
who have guns and they're going in to a liquor place.
We bring in the parole officers. Again, some of these people, uh,
you know, who are involved in this violent crime frankly
on parole and we can just yank him. So it's
(23:07):
a kind of a holistic approach. We go in, you know,
working with very very closely with the local police department
in this case would be Cincinnati. Uh. And so that's
what I offered the mayor, and you know, he said,
that's that's great.
Speaker 9 (23:20):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (23:20):
So we are already you know, working to be in
touch with the with the chief and with the police department.
And look, we don't you know, we don't say that
we can solve all these problems, but we can help.
And that's that's what our job is, is to try
to help when a city uh is having having a situation,
uh like you know, like what we're seeing in in
(23:40):
in Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
And Governor, did you have a sense that Afta pure
Ofval knows the seriousness of this situation and you reached
out to him, not vice versa. And of course do
you have a sense from your conversation with Mayor Pureval
he understands the cities in deep trouble?
Speaker 6 (23:59):
Well, I don't want to quote him, but I mean
is he going learned? Absolutely? I mean that was very
clear in the conversation. Uh, he didn't use those terms,
but you know, look he's he's the mayor, he's concerned,
and uh, you know, we reached out to say, this
is what we can provide. This is kind of the
package we can do, and you know, we can come
(24:20):
in and help, and that's that's what we really want
to do. And again, you know, we're all in this together. Bill,
I mean, as you say, you know, I was the
reds Grave Monday night and I had through my grandkids
there and so you know, even those of us who
live an hour away from Cincinnati. Were in Cincinnati a lot,
and you know, Bengals game, you know, or or or
(24:43):
the Reds game, or or some festival. I mean, we're
you know, we spent a lot of time in Cincinnati,
and a lot of people outside of Cincinnati do, which
is great now.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Secondly, Secondly, your friend Nuke Gingrich and Bill Clinton, some
thirty years ago, there was such so much crime happening
in cities, they agreed to one hundred thousand more cops
paid for by the Feds. Have you considered over the
next two to three years, there's probably one thy twelve
hundred cops need to be hired in five major cities.
(25:11):
Cincinnati's two hundred cops short. Would you consider a program
through the state of Ohio to fund police officers? When
I talked to Ken Kober, Dan Hills, et cetera, they
tell you, we're overwhelmed, undermanned. We need help. We're two
hundred cops short. Would you consider have the state of
Ohio pay for three to five years to hire a
couple hundred more cops so that there's some safety returning
(25:33):
to the city. Does that make sense to you?
Speaker 6 (25:35):
Exactly, Bill, We have done that we took a lot
of the frankly, the COVID money that came in from
the fellow government, we went directly to the police departments.
We did with a significant amount, you know amount of money.
The main way that we can help is, you know,
for example, we can do more running of the traffic,
(25:57):
which would free up more of the law officers to
focus on other things. You know, that's the easiest way
to do that and to free them up. But we're
always looking for ways to support the police and we're
going to continue to do that. It does go back
to something that you and I talked about, have talked
(26:17):
about time and time again. The most important thing we
can do any place in Ohio is target violent repeat offenders.
Literally target them, do it legally, but target them, go
after them, lock them up and keep them locked up.
I mean one of the things that we have done
for local police departments, and this was really of help
(26:41):
to the mid size cities. Let Springfield's alimas example, for example.
You know, we've given them more ability to correctly the
machines as you know that you can you can take
a gun, or you can take the casings and put
that information in and the database in a national day
as state database, national database, and some of the police
(27:03):
departments didn't have that equipment to do it at all.
And that's one of the best way again to target
a violent offender. I mean this guy, for example, the
one guy at least we know, we don't know. I
don't know about the other ones, but one guy, you know,
the guy should have been locked up. I mean so again,
more information, more data, more science, more following where that
(27:28):
data takes you. All that is helpful is police departments
take on on the crime problem.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Another issue. About a month ago, the chief of police, THEIJI,
who's well intended, put together something called the Street Crime
Task Force, targeting the most violent of the violent. And
one of those was Meriweather, thirty four years old. And
it's dangerous when you have a felon in possession of
(27:55):
guns is a professional arm robbery. In order to do
what they had to arrest him, and they arrested Merriweather
and Judge Mallory lets him out on a four hundred
dollars BONDI immediately he gets he said that in fact,
that Merriweather dude two weeks ago is out before the
paperwork was done. And so what do you do with
judges to do this kind of stuff.
Speaker 6 (28:15):
Well, I'm not going to get into that bill, but
they run for election, so all judges do. Hey, I'm
sitting here with Ben suver who has long law enforcement background.
He is with me when I was the attorney general.
Now he's the number two person in public safety. But
I want him to tell you, and very quickly you,
(28:37):
you and your listeners about what else we can do
in regard to intelligence. I haven't talked about that or
what we call ONEK let's do it.
Speaker 10 (28:46):
Hello again, it's Ben Suverer. We the governor has made
a lot of investments into law enforcement. One of those
investments is the intelligence area, and he created the Ohio
and Narcotics Intelligence Center.
Speaker 6 (28:59):
We were statewide.
Speaker 10 (29:00):
In fact, we are based out of Blue Ash as
one of our locations, and those folks are working every
day to work with law enforcement to include cin Santi
pede to identify those that are trafficking harmful drugs for
our communities.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
But in many cases.
Speaker 10 (29:16):
There is a direct correlation between drugs and violent crime,
and that's a resource the governors invested in the in
the state, and that's another resource that we think would
be helpful in the fight here a.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Ben, are you currently working with CPD in the Mayor's
office or is this something perspective in the future. Currently
are you doing this in the city.
Speaker 10 (29:41):
The OIK probably has present cases with Cincantia. I can't
speak to those cases, but they are active in Hamilton
County and surrounding counties to include cin Santi ped all right.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Thank you, thank you very much. Let me talk to
a governor one more time.
Speaker 6 (29:55):
Thank you, all right, I'm back, Billy.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Find out a governor. Two other things. When there's a
big event like the Kentucky Derby, Uh, you'll have National
Guard from Kentucky standing on street corners. Uh, look in uniform,
looking tough, but they have no arrest powers, but they
back it up. Have you considered the National Guard in
Cincinnati for some of these events when the city's overwhelmed
(30:18):
like it was with the music festival bill.
Speaker 6 (30:21):
We could always bring in the in the guard. What
we what we normally do. There's there's a layer to this. UH.
And you know you start with the local PD. We
went through this in Columbus. You start the local PD.
You can bring the patrol in. Uh. You know, with
provision of the local police and the patrol can have
a function there too, and ultimately you could you would
(30:43):
go to the National Guard, but you know, I think
you have to layer this and do it one one step,
one step at a time. But the National Guard is
not not trained right to do you know, this, particularly
this type work. They do have some police training, certainly
some of them are police officers, but this is not
(31:06):
the way that the Guard is usually you know, is
usually deployed. So, uh, it's it's a tool that we have.
We've called the Guard out when we think we need it.
We certainly called the guard out anytime, Uh a police
agency has asked us, you know, to do this, we
will do this. But uh, the focus primarily, the first
(31:26):
line beyond the local police is the highway patrol.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
When your conversations to the peer of all as the
National Guard come up, because like in California, Karen Bass
didn't request it, but the president put it in any
way because things are out of control, is peer of
all opening the idea of you calling in the National Guard.
We would you do it without his permission?
Speaker 6 (31:49):
We had no we had no no discussion about that,
uh at all. No, I.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Just didn't come up Now, lastly about about the Intel
thing in Central Hi. There's some reporting that the Intel
may pull that project in central Ohio. What can you
tell us about that.
Speaker 6 (32:07):
I don't think that's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (32:09):
You know, I had the chance to talk to the
new CEO of I guess about five or six seven
days ago, uh, and had had a good conversation. He Look,
he's optimistic. They have already put seven or eight billion,
that's a the billion dollars into the ground.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
And so they're not gone anywhere. There will be ships
made there.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
You know what he what he is facing is uh.
You know, he's got to be the salesman out there
selling these ships and finding you know, who wants who
wants to buy these particular chips or or how that
will how that will work, and that certainly is beyond me.
But he was optimistic.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
He said, look forward to you know, talking with you
in person. He says, maybe you come out and see me,
or he said, I'll come into Ohio sometimes. So they're
not going anywhere. They're going slower than we would have liked.
But frankly, when we made the deal, we knew that
it was it was you know, we weren't sure how
fast they were going to go. They told us what
they wanted to do, what they hoped to do. They've
(33:11):
not been able to, you know, go as fast as
they wanted to go, nor as fast as we want
them to go. But you know, again there's if you
go out there, you can see that they're not moving
any place. They got a lot invested out there, all right.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Lastly, getting back to this issue of the day, I
made a note Highway Patrol data help work with CPD
helicopters in the air to supplement and help the drones Highway.
Speaker 6 (33:35):
Patrol liquor control liquor prole officers in uh And because
all of this is related, Bill, and it all so often,
almost in all cases comes back to guns. It is
it is these criminals who you know, Bill, when someone
is convicted of a vile offense in City of Ohio,
they're not allowed to have a gun anymore. And so
(33:56):
all you have to do if you pick them up
and they got a gun, you know, if man, it's
worth sepsing, they need to go away.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Well, why did Merriweather, how do you get a four
hundred dollars bond from Judge Mallory four hundred dollars.
Speaker 6 (34:09):
I don't know, Bill an arm rocker with a.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Gun, and he says, said, go go.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
You're asking the wrong person, Bill, Yet I don't know.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
All right, Well, we'll see what happens down the road.
But I'm glad you had a conversation with the mayor.
Is hopefully he'll come back at some point and see
what happens. But all right, Governor Mike Dwaine, thanks for
coming on the Bill Cunningham Show. Thank you, Governor, talk
with you.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
God.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
There we go.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
All right.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
At least helps being sought. At least the governor could
speak with the mayor, which is something none of us
can do because he's parts unknown. And hopefully at some
point the mayor will come back and understand that being
an empty suit is not real valuable to the citizens
at this point, and there will be an alternative, by
the way, in November and three months from now to change.
(34:54):
But nothing is changes until you change it. If you're
a voter, nothing's going to change. Empty suit. It is
too kind a word to describe the behavior of AFTA
have puraval. It is too kind and incompetent is too
kind of word. An adjective to use about share along
the city manager. Hell, she couldn't run North College Hill
ran that into the ground, and that was a resume
(35:14):
builder to run the city of Cincinnati. Are you kidding me?
Let's continue with more Blind becomes available five one, three, seven, four, nine,
seven thousand. River City is in trouble. Bill Cunningham with
you every day. You're Home of the Reds. News Radio
seven hundred WLW, Bill Cunningham, the Great America. Let's see
(35:40):
what happens tonight, o'tawne on the mound and the show
he's going to pitch starting about seven to ten. Red
should have won last night. I think some bad managerial decisions,
that's my opinion. But nonetheless, the Reds en up and
swept in the series all year, and this is their
chance to keep that record alive. Then Atlanta Braves come
to town. Then off we go to Tennessee. But until then,
of course, difficulties throughout River City. We're in trouble, and
(36:03):
the mayor is somewhere on vacation, lathering up somewhere near Tibet.
The police chief, God bless her soul, a nice older lady,
doesn't know what the heck she's doing. And the city
manager has filed bankruptcy and has tax lanes, and that's
the leadership. So all I know is we're hurting, and
I look toward the State of Ohio maybe to solve
some difficulties some of the adults in the room. You know,
(36:25):
the city Cincinnati is a blue city and a blue
county in a red sea. Normally you have blue cities
with blue counties and purple surrounding counties. That's not the case.
Cincinnati is unique. You take Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana. Outside of
Hamlet County, you can't find a Democrat with a search warrant.
So it's always good to get the perspective of those
(36:46):
who have controlled of the state of Ohio. And Adam Bird,
state Representative is in leadership. He's a florid leader. And
I'm speaking to some in Columbus about what Columbus can
do to assist Cincinnati to become more adult. And they
have law enforce Horseman, but nonetheless Representative Adam Bird, Welcome
to the Bill Cunningham Show. Again yesterday about two o'clock,
(37:07):
I open up the lines. Let people who live in
the surrounding counties give me their perspective of what they
perceived to be the safety in the city of Cincinnati,
and I got exactly the response I would anticipate I
would receive. Now you're headquartered more or less in Claremont
County that you control with an iron grip, a New Richmond,
(37:29):
what is your perception as a citizen, as a lawmaker,
how safe is it on the main streets of Cincinnati.
Speaker 7 (37:37):
Hey, Bill, it's great to be with you again, and
I'm so thankful for you bringing light to this important issue.
And you know, people that I know in Claremont County,
they're not going to go downtown, Bill, and they're certainly
not going to go in late evenings, maybe not even
late afternoons. And so you know, when Hamilton County and
(37:59):
or Cincinnati invests so heavily into the over the Rhine area,
into the banks, into all of these things, they're not
going to get people from Claremont, Butler and Warren County
to come down. There's no reason to put your family
at risk. And nobody's going to let their family members
go down there in a time when they might get
(38:19):
abused or attacked or assaulted. And it's a big concern,
and I would be really concerned if I was a
Hamilton County or a Cincinnati resident.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
As far as the reaction, we're down two to three
hundred cops. The legal system is in almost complete collapse
in Hamilton County. We have magistrates like Anita Birding. We
have judges like a judge Mallory that will give armed
robbers four hundred dollars and you're out of jail. One
(38:48):
of the individuals who involved in this brutal beatdown, it
wasn't a fight, it wasn't an encounter, it was a racist,
brutal beatdown today got a bond of five hundred thousand dollars.
And this is after a lifetime of crime with guns
and assaults. If someone's say, in downtown your Richmond was
mugging individuals, stealing their stuff, kicking them in the ribs,
(39:10):
using guns, what would the bond look like in Clamont.
Speaker 7 (39:13):
County be huge, Willy and Climart County prosecutor market call,
He's not going to put up with that kind of stuff.
And it's about leadership. This is about leadership, Willy, and
when the voters put in people and areas of leadership,
whether it's the prosecutor, whether it's the sheriff, whether it's
the mayor. When you vote for people who are going
(39:33):
to be soft on crime, who are going to care
about the perpetrator instead of the victim, you're going to
wind up with these kinds of situations. And Willy, the
only way to change the culture and the climate of
your area of the world is through election. And people
in Hamilton and Cincinnati have got to wake up and
(39:54):
they've got to start holding people that they have put
in office accountable if they're going to affect change.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Let me share with you a screenshot. You may not
know Victoria Parks. She's a member of the city council.
She was elected to a long term. She spent many years,
shall we say, in government, and she's an older woman.
She's not going to run again, thank God, because she
knows she's mentally incompetent, can't do the job. I got
(40:20):
a text here that was sent by a friend of
mine of a text a posting that she put up
about six twenty five am this morning, which I think
is illustrative of the problem. It says they got what
they deserved. The truth is coming out. First of all, they,
I think, are those who are beat down there is
(40:42):
a speculation that somebody might have said the N word
at some point which justified the beatdown. They got what
they deserved, and that comes from the leadership of the
city of Cincinnati, Victoria Parks. What is your impression about.
Speaker 7 (40:57):
That one, boy, I don't know, Willy, I mean, I can't.
I think you you you've hammered on what is potential
in that comment. I don't know her, and I don't
know her character, and I don't know her leadership history.
So but but that does sound rather damning. And so
(41:18):
you know the other thing, Willie, it's not just fick.
Think about some of the recent events that have happened
in Cincinnati. When you have this mostly quote mostly peaceful
protest that walking across and blocking the robe Ling Suspension Bridge.
You know, that's part of the problem too, when the
media calls it mostly peaceful. It's not peaceful if you're
blocking a bridge, if you're blocking a road, that's not peaceful,
(41:42):
as when you don't have permission to do that. And
you think about the I four seventy one bridge fire,
that that costs so much chaos in our area, and
you know, bringing a peaceful living situation that that's about leadership,
and and you cannot affect change in a positive way
that affects people's lives if you don't hold them accountable
(42:05):
with the ballot box.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
I'm looking at their exach posting I want to get
this correct about Victoria Parks quote they begged for that beatdown.
I'm grateful for the whole story. One of the responses was,
quote the woman who was punched didn't ask for this,
Victoria and so the justification as well. After all, not
enough money spent on public education. The drone technology is
(42:28):
only so good. We have hallway monitors. In the city
of Cincinnati. We have the bank's project is spending a
quarter of a million dollars for their private security. Whether
it's Fifth Third Bank, Western and Southern, Procter and Gamble,
or Kroger. They have guards present to walk through employees
to the parking lots at night. The private security expenses
(42:49):
are expensive. And when you talk about the taste of Cincinnati.
Had a guy named Johnson with a gun breaking into
cars who intended, we think, to kill a cop. When
he was tased, went down, the gun came out of
his waistband. There's no sense of crime committed. And then punishment.
It is a catch and release idea in Hamilton County
(43:11):
with the judges. We catch them then they're quickly released.
Public safety. Can you talk about the constitutional amendment we
voted on a couple of years ago in which about
seventy percent of Ohio and said that when judges set
bonds or magistrates they must consider public safety? What about
that one?
Speaker 7 (43:30):
They have to consider public safety absolutely, That's why else
is a judge in that position. They're there to protect
the people. Now, the other side of this, Billy is,
think about the state of Ohio that is investing in
multiple projects in places around Ohio. Now, who's paying for that?
(43:51):
The taxpayer all over Ohio including Claremont, Butler, Warren counties
that surround Hamilton. Why does the taxpayer in those areas
want their tax dollars going to infrastructure in capital projects
in Hamilton County if they can't go down there and
enjoy what their tax dollars have paid for, and you know,
(44:13):
I think it puts at risk whether we as a
state of Ohio want to continue to invest in infrastructure
and capital projects in a place where people can't go safely.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Well, we're talking about the Convention Center and about the
big new hotel eight hundred million dollars. Three CDC's invested
well over five hundred million dollars. The infrastructure required for
that is immense, and you head up the Education committee
State of Ohio. One of the complaints I hear all
the time is that these miscrant youths are not being
properly educated. I think they're being indoctrinated. But as far
(44:46):
as the money from the state City Council and the
Board of Education of bother all democrats, not just democrats.
These aren't Charlie Luken democrats. These aren't Brendan called democrats.
These are left wing democrats like Victoria Parks, who says
in writing under her name, they beg for what happened
to them, that is the victims. Are you reticent about
(45:07):
spending more money into an education system that indoctrinates with
no standards? Twenty five percent of the school district in
Cincinnati are chronically absent every day in which there's multiple
language being spoken and there's no educational achievement. We used
to have standardized testing. CPS doesn't want to do that
anymore because, after all, they have terrible results from the
(45:28):
State of Ohio perspective, why would you keep sending money
into a failed system anticipating a different result.
Speaker 7 (45:35):
Well, those are excellent questions, Willy. And as a state
of Ohio, we did pass in a Bill one a
couple of months ago which says that we're going to
require intellectual diversity on college campuses across Ohio. We're not
going to allow a university to make a pledge of
allegiance to the EI in order to get a faculty appointment.
(45:56):
And these kinds of principles need to start applying to
public K to twelve schools as well. And that we're
sending a lot of money. We're sending over ten and
a half billion dollars in education spending across the state
of Ohio, and that's a lot of taxpayer money that's
going to UH to educate our kids, and we should
(46:18):
do that. The Constitution requires us to educate all children.
And we've got to make sure that we're taking a
close look at how schools are using that money. And
there should not be liberal and doctrination going on inside
of any of our CA to twelve schools.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
And lastly, in the next day or two, I'm told
by Tony Bender and others that there's going to be
a deal between the county and the Bengals for the
for the extension of the lease about eleven years. They're
going to come hat in hand to you as the
leadership of the House and in Columbus to pick up
about the NEDA nextra maybe three or four hundred million dollars.
(46:53):
Are you ready to write that check?
Speaker 7 (46:55):
Well, we put something in the budget, Willie that said
that we were going to allow unclean funds that are
in existence of around four and a half billion dollars,
and we set aside one point seven billion of that
in order for work projects to be used at cultural centers,
arts centers, and professional sports franchises. And so they're going
(47:18):
to be able to apply for that money and use
it to make whatever additions or improvements to Paul Brown
Stadium that they want to make. And you know, I
think that's a good thing. But you know, the city
of Cincinnati has to do their part in protecting people
that go downtown because this is everybody's tax mammy that's
going down there to h to make it nice for
(47:42):
NFL fans, and they've got to protect people. And the
only way if they're not going to do it. If
they're not going to make people feel safe when they
go downtown, then they have to be held accountable by
the voters.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
Nine.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Lastly, you know the police chief, and I have empathy
for her. She's an older woman, she's spent her life
in law enforce horsement. She comes to a long family
of cops. She's a Westsider. I think she's a conservative.
But she seems to be saying to citizens, don't film
crimes next time because it makes me look bad. And
I'm thinking, wait a minute. She went after the media
(48:16):
in the first news conference, blaming the media for relating
the video of the crime, and now she held yesterday
is a big powwell to the public library that again
was a total disaster. But she's saying to citizens, please
don't make me look bad by using your video. Does
that make sense.
Speaker 7 (48:33):
To you, Wellie, if you're going to be in a
position of leadership, you have to take accountability for your
own actions. You need to set the standard of I
am not going to allow this to happen. I'm going
to set the culture and climate in this city. We're
not going to make excuses. We're going to provide safety.
We're not going to blame others. We're not going to
(48:54):
blame the media. We're going to set the standard for
public stafety and wherever you want that to be in
southern Ohio. And that's not the kind of messaging that
I heard from her during her press conference. It sounded
like a lot of excuse making.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
To me, well, you know, one of the things happening
today is all the body cams every cop. Most cops
have a body cam. So I guess we should end
the use of police body cameras because how bad they
make the criminals look. I thought video was objective, as independent.
It's not racist to observe independent, objective facts. So when
the chief of police says that the problem is the
(49:34):
video camera, I guess of the problems of video camera.
Take the body cams off the chest to police officers.
They make criminals look bad. This is somewhat secutest logic.
Speaker 7 (49:44):
Would you agree, Oh my goodness, Willie, think about a
couple of issues here. First of all, all of the
public money that's gone into the investment of body cams.
They've invested a lot of money in this, and it's
been a good investment.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
It makes them look bad. That wait a minute, references.
It makes a criminal look bad. We got to quit
doing this. You know what I'm saying, I dare you
film criminals doing criminal acts? After all, that's proof. We
don't want proof, We want testimony. We can cross examine.
Get rid of the body cameras. The Chief of police says,
that make us look bad. Get rid of those, My.
Speaker 7 (50:16):
God, nah, No, you know they want a principle of
conservatism is that we want transparency. Oh and so this
is transparency. When they're wearing body cameras. They should be
wearing them to protect themselves and to show exactly what happened.
Because you know, when I see a video, I don't
need I don't need a police seat to tell me
(50:37):
what happened. No, I saw the video. I don't need
a media reporter to tell me what happened. And their
words are a headline writer to say what happened, because
I saw it with my own eyes, and that's why
the video is so powerful, and that's why our police
officers should be wearing body camps.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Well, we'll try to get the Chief of Police on
later on to talk about this idea of hers that
the media was wrong to to relate the objective facts
of a video can because it made her look bad. Wow,
all right once again, Adam Bird of Claremont County. Maybe
one day we'll meet down at Jeff Ruby Steakhouse and
we'll have armed security guards left and right, and then
(51:16):
we will by the way, we'll pay the bill. Okay,
at Jeff Rubys, We're not going to run out. Well,
we're going to actually pay the bill, and then we'll
go with armed security to our parking lot and maybe
get out alive without broken windows and flat and tires.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (51:30):
Yeah, well that sounds great, Willy, but I'm not doing
it in the evening. I may come down there for
into Cincinnati during the day or something, but you know,
I'm not going to put myself or my family at risk.
And this is the kind of hesitant attitude that that
consumers of all kinds of business from Claremont, Brown and
Warren have when they think about possibility of calling downtown Cincinnati.
(51:53):
It feels like it's not going to be a safe
place and it's having an impact, I would think economically
on any businesses.
Speaker 1 (52:01):
Adam Byrd from Claremont County, New Richmond, the home of
the Lions, thanks for coming on the Bill Cunningham Show,
and Adam, you're a great American. Thank you very much.
Speaker 7 (52:09):
Thank you Bill for bringing light to this. And it
matters because even though everything around Cincinnati has read, they're
still They're still part of our state and we want
to protect people everywhere. Even if the city of Cincinnati
doesn't want to protect victims, Ohio wants to do it.
We're going to do it in the future.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Well, lastly, you brought up to term the voters, and
the voters are important, and I like to think they are.
But if the voters themselves put up with this kind
of behavior and find it acceptable, we got a deeper
problem that I thought. And the voters have to decide
what direction the city needs to go, and if the
voters find this kind of behavior acceptable. In fact, I
(52:50):
had to call a couple of days ago from an
African American gentleman who said, this happens to us all
the time, and you don't care about it till a
white person is I said, number one, if this is
happening all the time in the black community, which of
course it is, and maybe most of it is not video,
which most of it is not, and you keep voting
for the same people whose policies encourage that behavior. Then
(53:12):
the problem is on you. But I care whether you're
a white, black or polka dot. We can't have a
city overrun by mobs looking for people to rape and
rob and pillage and armed Robert And we can't have
a city like that because Cincinnati is the heart that
beats the tri state. Claremont County would not be what
it is about the city of Cincinnati. And I'm willing
to fight like a warrior poet for the existence and
(53:33):
the peaceful aspects of Cincinnati. I'll be like William of
Wallace and Braveheart on the gurney is to pull up
my intestines. I'll be saying freedom for the people of Cincinnati.
But if the voters don't want to help themselves, that's
a bigger problem. Adam Byrd, thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
We'll do it again, go ahead, Thank you so much.
Speaker 7 (53:51):
Willie appreciate it. And you know it. Has it become
bad enough yet, that's the issue. Has it become bad
enough for the voters of Cincinnati to make a change
and and stop voting for Democrat leadership? And at some
point it's going to be bad enough and they're going
to say enough is enough. We need somebody who's going
to actually lead us and provide the safety that we need.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
I hope that's the case. We'll know in ninety days.
Adam Byrd, thank you very much, and God bless you,
and God bless you. Richmond, thank you very much. Well,
let's continue with the more news next that jer home
of the reds Otani on the mountain tonight. The Reds
need to win so they I swept in the series
for the first time, all on news radio seven hundred WLW.
Speaker 6 (54:27):
He's the mayor, he's concerned and uh, you know, we
reached out to say this is what we can ride.
This is kind of the package we can do. You know,
we can come in and help, and that's that's what
we really want to do.
Speaker 11 (54:45):
Hello, bye, I'm broadcasting.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
Janner said, maybe the governor could pole a Donald Trump
to a Karen Bass and sending the National Guard. Even
if the mayor, by the way, if you found the
mayor yet, where's the mayor probably getting another five hundred
dollars haircut or something. Well the mayor right now, he's
on vacation, of course, of course, Well then he sign
up for this to be the mayor, Yeah, I mean
(55:13):
I would. I mean, you know, the usually if they
like the president is out of out of the country,
right and there's something happening back, he immediately comes back.
This guy didn't care. The mayor's in British Columbia, somewhere British.
What's he doing in British Columbia America? I don't know
where in Canada. I don't know. It's it's like near Vancouver.
Vancouver's in British Columbia. Well, right now the city is rudderless,
(55:38):
right and leaderless. Well, of course it is. But what
you need to do, Willie, is get one guy back
in office. I have to throw Council the heck out
of here. Get him out and have one Supreme Allied
Commander Marshall Law Charles Chas Lucan and in charge and
in charges and him too, and then have you know
(56:00):
who come down and along with Butler County, have rich
Sheriff Jones come in for any problems. I think what
you have to do is have a bloodless coup and
Sheriff Jones will remain in Butler County South will be
Rob Sanders right, have a pinser movement north in the south,
come from the get Claremont County and get Dearborn, get
(56:21):
Steve washing machine and you get him. In other words,
just from the west, pinch right, pinch everybody hidden valley
and the militia. And that's what they did to Berlin.
And they go and they do that in Berlin right now.
The Soviets came from one way, the Allies came from another.
Don't forget the Britz and don't forget the Italians and
the body they did it. We need Butler County, Kenton County,
(56:43):
Dearborn County, Claremont County, and Warren County with a pinser
movement and install Pinser you mean Panser, I mean pincer.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
Knows what the hell you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Take power if offered, get rid of county, make any difference.
He's in, he's in. He did say, yes, what the
declaire Mark.
Speaker 3 (57:05):
I could not be more excited.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Gay chance, Well, he said, Marshall Robby in the loft downtown,
he's in a smoking jacket with a pipe.
Speaker 3 (57:13):
It's time for it to stop.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
There you go right there, that's for sure what Butler County,
our mayor's in British Columbia. What's he doing drumming up business?
Not my jurisdiction, it's not British Columbia. But he's in
a hut with Aaron Rodgers. Humming. I thought Aaron Rodgers
was in Uh, he's moved to British Pennsylvania Steelers training camp.
By the way, how about Terry Bradshaw going after Aaron Rodgers.
(57:38):
That's a different issue. But right now, do we have
leadership in the city of Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
No?
Speaker 1 (57:44):
And the restaurant tours and the bars turmoil or are
lighting it up? Confusion? And who's going to go downtown?
I invited Adam Bird to come with me from Claremont County.
He refused. Well he the STUO supporters of prop service
of your local well Tame Star Heating in their conditioning
dealers temestar quality you could feel in northern Kentucky. Carl
(58:06):
Johnson Heating and Cool to get eight five nine, four
seven to two sixty fifty one spot. Thank you, Roxy
And of course Willie, it's still hot outside. How hot
is it? It's hot out there? The heat advisory is
still rolling rocket and rolling the scooter four presented by
asc arc on Ice Pools and spas.
Speaker 3 (58:30):
Saying it.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Frank, I'm feeling hot, frankly see Call to Day Swim
this year. Another thing segment. I'm looking at the photographs
of the in choir by Dan, Mike Montez and Meriweathers
thirty four having a five hundred thousand Take a look
at this character, Mary, I saw that. Yeah, you look concerned?
(58:51):
Was he the perpetrator this? Three one of them task
force went out there and found this guy because he's violent,
arm robber, guns illegally, et cetera. They get the SWAT
team out, they arrest him, and Judge William Mallory releases
him on four hundred dollars bond, and then ten days
later he's kicking the crap out of tourists in downtown Cincinnati.
(59:12):
Your comments please.
Speaker 3 (59:16):
Never learn.
Speaker 1 (59:16):
Read's update Willie Show, Hey, O Tani, we'll face Nick

Nothing in the stadium. There's nothing there either, is there.
(01:00:22):
Talks with called a commissioner. He told me things are eminent.
What does eminent mean? Eminent domain? Maybe right, maybe they're
going to take it over. But Chazz, much like Cincinnati,
is coming out of the hills of Rome to save
the city. Chas Lucan and Brendan Colney to come to
eight to one Plum Street, get on top of it
(01:00:43):
like Godzilla had or King Kong Bundy in rule for
a thousand years will head. The Bengals today released a
halfback Zach Moss and Senator Seth McLoughlin has passed his
physical and cleared to practice. He was on the non
IF football injury listens July nineteenth. Moss last year suffered
(01:01:04):
that neck injury and he's a former Indianapolis colt. Back
to baseball, Hunter Green last night for Triple A Indianapolis,
two of the third innings, five hits, four runs and
six strikeouts. Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acunya Junior will miss
Saturday Speedway Classic in this so this weekend's series with
(01:01:27):
the Reds and the game at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday
night because he's out with the right achilles tightness. And
I share a posting by Victoria Parks, who's one of
the leaders of the city on City Council elected by Democrats.
Victoria Parks said the following quote. They begged for that beatdown,
(01:01:52):
Natia Parks. Was she there begged for that beatdown? That's
a council person, Yeah, Victoria Parks. They begg and one
on one of the responsible women says the woman who
was punched didn't ask for any of this. But Victoria Parks,
along with Cheryl Long and a f ted Pireval are
the leaders of the city segment. Here's a leader saying
(01:02:13):
those assaulted beg for that to happen Victoria Park. How
do you say? How do you say that? How did what?
Was she there? It's inexplicable? Can you say inexplicable? I
can't even spell it? Go ahead? The Bengals Willie will
open up their preseason one week from tomorrow night at
(01:02:34):
Philadelphia they play the Eagles. How about that? See what
happens football right around the Kunna and let's see Also,
congrats from a man of Moeler standout pitcher Alex Wimmers.
He's going to be inducted into the Ohio State Athletics
Hall of Fame this fall. Wimmers the first back to
(01:02:54):
back pig ten pitcher of the year in conference history.
Only buckeye'es pitcher to throw at not ain't any no
hitter and he was a twenty ten pitcher of the year.
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
Pretty good.
Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
FC Cincinnati back in action tomorrow night and leagues play
thou Taking a break from the MLS, They'll play CF
Monterey and the action on ESPN fifteen thirty, Get it Down,
Get It Dirty. The home of Tony and Moe and
Audie segment your reaction to Victoria Parks saying they wanted
the beat down. I don't know how you say that.
(01:03:27):
And then what the share? The police chief blamed the media, right,
that wasn't her fas hour. So she basically said, if
somebody records a violent felony in progress, quickly deleted, if
it makes me look bad? Is that what she meant
by that? And I thought, I know you have to
ask her how much money spent to put cameras on
(01:03:50):
the chest of cops. I guess that's bad, right, because
I guess you got it in the media for relating
what occurred that the police didn't know anything about. And
it's a mes fault. Well, our newsroom said it was
three policemen, yes, for fifty thousand people sat last Saturday
night downtown and the action wasn't going to be at
(01:04:11):
nine in the evening. It's going to be one, two
through four o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
That's when when you when you were headed to the
after party, you know, Ice Cuban invited me. I asked
my wife, Penny, do you want to come with me
to the after party? On top of the high it
down said, what's that she said what she said, don't
make a damn fool of yourself. Speaking of making a
fool out of yourself, how's the rap thing going? You
got an update for us? Or or what's what's the deal?
(01:04:37):
This is what happened. I sent off some of my lines,
okay to the beat, all right, and then ice Cube's
creative staff sent me back some more lines to incorporate.
They want now instead of for an album. I need
about two thousand lines to go with the beats, I said,
(01:04:58):
two thousand. Don't they know that you're a gigantic, most
popular radio host of all time, all time, and you
like the you like the golf, and you have a family.
I do, But I guess they want you to do?
Speaker 3 (01:05:11):
Is what?
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Right? Lines? Twenty four hours a day. We talked to
a guy named Elijah Muhammad, who's one of his creative guys,
who said, when you start rapping, you can't stop. It
simply flows out of you. So I'm waiting for the
flow to begin, you know what I'm saying. Well, maybe
maybe it hadn't hit you like hit you yet, like
that tsunami. How about that the coat off the coast
(01:05:33):
of Russia that tsunami crosses the Pacific Ocean all the way,
thousands of miles of water. This is what I say
in Hawaii and then the West coast of the United States. Unbelievable,
Andy Man, I gave you some of my flow.
Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
Well I'm not.
Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
I'm go ahead. Four in the course, got that four
oh one k swing slow mo like it's groundhul day,
mutual funds and a rough buffet, eat pills in the cart.
I still play I'm the silver Fox on the back
nine drive like butter short Game Divine. My grandkids ask
if I TikTok dance, I say, son, I balance bonds
(01:06:11):
not by chance, earlier bird, dinner reservation at four, two
glasses of wine and I'm out like a snore. I
don't chase cloud. I chase yield and score and wear white.
New Balance is at the store, but I toast them
with gin and another chip. Fantasy leagues for our blood
pressure stats. We trade Metamorpha Metamorphin Metamorphin like its tops
(01:06:33):
card packs. Remember that cruise in three with Bill full
in love with a lady named Dee. Now he's divorced,
but alive and free. I'm living in an RV like
Kenny g Medicare Part B in my back pocket, Hmoso Todd,
I could lock it. I like AAARP cards and a
golden locket discount training like I'm worn buffet. That's not bad.
(01:06:54):
You can't tell me that's not a good not bad
right there. But they say they see the talent. But
for my album they need two thousand lines. I said, well,
Rocky will help you out. But when I start, I
can't stop. I got the flow. You know, I'm from
the park, living in the darright. You know what I'm saying.
(01:07:15):
The EP and the BP and the ED and the
PP and the EP. Okay, yep. Now I get me
out of the stuge report because you brought it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Up, not me.
Speaker 1 (01:07:23):
I'm just telling him this' well I'm the scene. I mean,
people want to people wanting up. They want to know
about the rat. Me and Ice Q and David Collins
said a Circle to Day June twenty first, twenty twenty six. Well,
I would think too that the Reds will make some
kind of effort to get the dog up here to
help you out. A visit from the dog that'll get
(01:07:47):
you into the flow. Now, seg one other factor I
came up with the name for the album. Oh boy,
Willy to the C from the kc C Kenwood Country Club.
WILLI to the C from.
Speaker 12 (01:08:00):
The k c C.
Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
So I can see it now, you're it's a photo
of you in front of the doors of k c C.
And I go wear my bucket golf hat. Yeah, and
your and you have your seven iron. Well once you
have all your golf clubs. So you got you got that.
You got to be yourself. Scotty Scheffler gave you, gave
you that that pro bag, didn't he? Yes, get me
(01:08:22):
out of the students report segment from the park in
the Dark and the sag and the pooh go ahead segment.
Get it done, Willie. In honor of where's the Mayor today,
we leave you with the immortal words of the stewod
report will he from the sea.
Speaker 6 (01:08:40):
At some point the foolishness has got to stop.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
I asked the governor off there if you could rap
with me. He said wrap what a package? Or what
I said? Never mind? Bill Cunningham seven hundred W O W.
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
Right, as we continue, we never stop. Old man River
just keeps on rolling along, no matter who's on the shoreline.
And once again. Uh, you've heard today from all the
power brokers, from Governor Mike DeWine, who accepted a he
made a call to a mayor have Tab Pureval somewhere
parts unknown. It's like a pro wrestler talk about an
empty suit. The gq Z own the mayor Aftab Pureval
(01:09:25):
is gone for a while and they should be here,
right And if you're on vacation and something bad happens,
you got to come back. You got to do something.
And instead of calling back coming back, he simply skypes
in for a minute or two and then he goes
back to his WICCA hut and uh, he gives empty
suit a brand new name. The guy is unbelievable and uh,
(01:09:47):
it's sad. But then you talk about what happened with
the Street Crime Task Force. By the way, if you
want to have a we're going to go to the
calls here in the three or four minutes, I have
one line in use, four five lines available. I've went three, seven, four, nine,
seven thousand or pounds seven hundred and Dave Keaton will
line them up. And I want to do the fast
break like I did yesterday. I want to get the
(01:10:09):
perspective we had several calling from the city itself that
were happy with what's happening in the city, but great
majority of people said, I'm not going there anymore, and
that's a problem. But about three weeks ago, Teresa Thiji,
the Chief of Police, who's well intended, I mean, she's
overwhelmed the course, but she's a Westsider and she put
(01:10:30):
together the Street Crime Task Force to go after the
worst of the worst. One of the worst of the
worst was Montez Merriweather thirty four years old, who was
a career criminal possession of guns, numerous felonies in the past,
on probation and they found the guy said, okay, we
got him in possession of guns. That's serious, Ard Mike
(01:10:51):
Dwine about an hour ago.
Speaker 6 (01:10:52):
Not good.
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
They arrest them and Judge William Mallory, who, by the way,
of course, I know Bill Mallory as well as I
own many judges, good man. His father was a good man.
In fact, Bill Mallory, the judge, served on the Court
of Appeals with my wife, the People's judge, and she
related to me there couldn't have been a nicer, friendlier
guy on the bench than Judge Bill Mallory. Good guy.
Speaker 10 (01:11:13):
Bud.
Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
He's a liberal Democrat, that's the problem. Good guys, very
good guys, and gave him a bond that was four
hundred dollars in cash and you're gone. So while he
was out waiting trial on brand new charges, he's one
of the ones that jumped on top of him, beat
the crap out of those tourists in downtown Cincinnati. And
(01:11:34):
now he's back in front of a judge again. This
time we got in front of a real judge and
he got a five hundred thousand dollars bond. This court judge,
Michael Peck said, Okay, enough is enough. You're in and
that's it. The only reason all this has happened is
a few people on social media posted it on their accounts.
(01:11:55):
I knew about it about eight thirty am on Saturday morning,
and I knew from the location it was at Fourth
and Alm. I'm a great resident of Cincinnati. I could
tell by cook Sporting Goods, and I dispersed it Channels
five nine twelve nineteen Newsmax News, Nation, Fox News, and
I said, take a look at this. And the response
(01:12:16):
I got from the anchors I dealt with on Saturday
morning was are you sure? This is real, and I
told them, I'm not sure it's real. A cop sent
it to me, but I said, I'm not going to
vouch for the authenticity of this. And it did not
hit the airwaves for another day or two. That's how
responsible the media was in this case. We're not going
(01:12:38):
to publish it until we know if it's legit. Did
these events happen and the police didn't know about it
until that morning and Chief Fiji, who said, by the way,
is an older lady, but she's well and well intended,
long family of cops lived on, lives on the West Side.
She does her best under difficult circumstances. Then she said,
(01:12:58):
is this true? The cops said, no idea. Even though
there was a nine to one one call about six
minutes later, by Tom the cops got there, everything broke up.
They weren't weren't around accept the blood in the streets
and the victims, and so that when this guy then
was arrested, he should have got one hundred thousand dollars
bond at that point on the twenty first of July
(01:13:20):
instead of now, and many of these events would not
have transpired. We have a weak, insipid liberal Marxist left
wing judiciary who do not believe that anyone should be
locked up until they're convicted, and once they're convicted, they
deserve two or three more chances. So the Street Crime
Task Force found this character Meriwether want a great risk
(01:13:45):
of their own safety to arrest the guy. And then
Judge Mallory gives him a five hundred dollars bond. Unbelievable,
and magistrate and need a birding hands out bonds, but
get everybody out of jail. We can't have that. And
so as Jim Moore said, and the governor said, we
we got to fix the judiciary. We have to fix
(01:14:06):
parenting because the next generation of criminals are in the third, fourth,
and fifth and sixth grade coming up to take the
place of those who age out after generations of this.
At some point it's got to stop now. One time,
if I said race, I don't care about race, I
care about behavior. But you and I know if the
(01:14:26):
couples were black and there was a white mob of
Trump hat wearing rednecks who did this to a black couple,
would there be a different reaction by the media. Yes,
you got to queue up Irish Rowley to collect a
lot more money, and it's just different. And I don't
care about that. I care about a safe city of Cincinnati.
(01:14:47):
And I got to get to the calls. I got
full lines. Of course. Lastly, I did a wrap around
this morning of the of the best restaurant tours in Cincinnati,
many of whom signed that letter, and to a person,
they did not want to come on the air, because
what's the us, what's the ups? But they gave me
the scoop about what happened on the weekend, what happened Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
(01:15:10):
And it was meltdown. It was people walking into restaurants,
sitting down without reservations. It was people getting up having
to enjoined a great meal and leaving without paying. And
of course no tipping whatever was done. And that was
the reason. Years ago, Jeff Ruby, you might recall, it
was an event shut down his restaurants in downtown because
(01:15:31):
the staff couldn't take it anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:15:33):
It was terrible.
Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
The only color he cares about is green. And then
he was subjected to Boycott's, etc. By the so called
civil rights crowd. So he decided to open up and
just deal with it and just know it's going to
be ugly, and all they care about is a restaurant
owner is green, not black, white, brown, red, or pink.
They care about green, and if business is good, they
(01:15:55):
want to be open. Normally, when a convention comes to town,
you know what happens. Happy days here again, out of
towners are present. Life is good. You know what I'm saying.
It's great, Spending is free and easy. But some events
come to Cincinnati is like, oh my god, we got
to shut down. Don't blame the messenger for what I'm saying.
Do not blame the messenger. That's the reality. And when
(01:16:20):
Jim Mooring said about ten eleven year old boys and
girls running around on the so called motorized electric bikes
and mopeds four to a moped in and out of
parking spaces downtown at three o'clock in the morning, that's
a parental difficulty, would you agree, just a little bit.
And the school system is in complete collapse. The judiciary
in this town stinks. Half of them stink. The other
(01:16:42):
half are pretty good. And lastly, before I go to
the calls, I've been sleeping with a judge for about
I don't know, twenty five years. She's been on the bench,
and I'm hard pressed to criticize a judge because I
know what they go through and making decisions time after
time after time. It is obvious that we have a
(01:17:02):
current judiciary liberal left wing Democrats who care more about
perpetrators than victims, who do not care about public safety whatsoever.
When setting bonds, it's catch and release. So when Ken
Kober came on and said, look, we put our life
at a risk to arrest people like this Meriweather character
(01:17:23):
fashions himself to be a tough guy who beats up women,
jumps on top of tourists in the streets of Cincinnati,
and he gets a cash bond of four hundred dollars
two weeks ago to get out. Are you kidding me?
That's what's going on. Let's go to the calls and
what you have to say, especially when you hear from
those maybe in the city who live there and what
(01:17:46):
you observe, and also from those out of the city.
We'll give each caller about thirty to forty seconds to
get it done. And would you come to Cincinnati? Is
it good? Is it bad? Is it a mess? Is
it as bad as many say it is? By the way,
it's amazing that the mayor of our city actually took
a call from the governor who said, I'm here to
help you. Let's get it done. And the mayor said
(01:18:08):
to the governor, according to Governor Mike DeWine, took time
from his vacation, I'm sure well earned to say yes,
we'll take state support. The last thing to do is
to bring in the National Guard for events, which I
think is a great idea. Your reaction, let's go to
the calls. We have Dean Hyland, and then Early and Anderson,
and Brian and Glendale and John and Bridgetown and Craig
(01:18:30):
and many others, and Dean Hyland, I assume Highland County,
welcome to the Bill Cunningham show. D how are you.
Speaker 13 (01:18:37):
I'm fine. And I listened to you talk to our
dear mister Dwine, and I didn't hear him say one
time that the parents need to be accountable, like you're
talking these young kids out running the streets at that
r night, throw them phones down and pay attention where
your kids are at and start finding those parents, and
I bet you they'll turn their heads a little bit.
(01:18:58):
And secondly, our schools are fools, are pathetic, absolutely pathetic.
We need to put prayer back in school. It works
for many, many years. Our country was built on that foundation.
Put it back in school so that those bad kids
that don't have not bad kids. I don't like them
calling bad kids, So that those children have somebody's got
(01:19:18):
my back, because that's what they used to think when
they took a guy to death row. What do you say, Oh, please,
God forgive me.
Speaker 4 (01:19:24):
You don't hear that no more.
Speaker 13 (01:19:25):
Let's get it over with. That's all they think about,
and that's what they think. They don't have any respect
for nothing. I had an old man told me the
other day that there was four boys about ten or
eleven in the store, had loud whistles, ran up behind
him blowing the loud whistle, scared him half to death,
runnering around taking the free samples, five of them at
a time, grabbing them up off of the trade.
Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
Your parents around d I'll say this, we have the
worst generation of parents in American history right now. And
all the we can correct the judge the judiciary a
little bit. We're talking about maybe ten or fifteen judges
out of the total that are left wing clowns. The
other half are pretty good, but if the parents continued
not to be parents, if fathers are not in the home,
(01:20:08):
if Christ is out of the schools, if there's no
sense of the afterlife, and I have to behave in
a certain way because of what's going to happen next,
And if having guns and doing TikTok videos is more
valuable than learning algebra, all these other things mean nothing.
D thanks for your comments. Let's go to Earl and Anderson. Earl,
welcome to the Bill Cunninghamshire. Earl, how are you.
Speaker 6 (01:20:30):
Good, Bill?
Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
How are you hey?
Speaker 7 (01:20:32):
I believe everything that you stated prior to the first call.
Speaker 4 (01:20:36):
I totally support everything you said. One thing, where is
Simon Leece when you need him? Well?
Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
Right now he's barely hanging on to life and he's
ninety two years old. But you know, and the current
sheriff has told me and told others she's more than
willing to help if requested by the city. Now there's
a gentleman's agreement between the city and the county that
the two will not meet. We got the highway patrol
(01:21:02):
coming in, we have a liquor control coming in, we
have other elements of state government coming in. And I
think it's an acknowledgment that we're overwhelmed. If the mayor
is willing to take the governor's call to say we're
here to help, that's a positive. The next call should
be made to Charmaine McGuffey, who has said to me
and others she's willing to do what she can do
(01:21:22):
because her jurisdiction is also the city of Cincinnati. But
it's got to be asked. And on the police side,
when you talk to coppers, they tell me, why do
we arrest all these career criminals if they're out of
jail before the paperwork is done. This Merriweather character is
a career criminal with guns on probation and he gets
(01:21:42):
a four hundred dollars cash bond. We have other bond
set where someone's shot in the back of the head
and the attempt at murderer is adding out of the
jail before the paperwork is done. So and then we
need parents that'll be moms and dads because the court
system is allowsy parent. Then we have a juvenile court system,
which is a revolving door. Because Carrie Bloom is a
(01:22:03):
left wing clown who wears a nos ring and has
tattoos on her and damn it. She's a judge and
she's thinking that anyone who commits a crime must be
given two or three free bites of the apple, no
matter how serious the crime is. The worst punishment you
get out of juvenile court earl is to write a
book report if the kid can write, which they probably can't.
(01:22:23):
So we have multiplicity of problems. Got to run. Thanks
for your call. You got me all fired up. Let's continue.
Now we'll go to Brian in Glendale, the hum of
Bob Trumpy. Brian and Glendale. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show.
And then we got Craig after that. Brian, go ahead,
Thanks Bill. I'm very disappointed. You know, years ago you
gave us a story about Justice Marina Connor from iiO
(01:22:44):
coming down on Tracy Honor. Why can't Justice Kennedy come
down on these liberal judges Ian Hamilton carry that are
not doing what the judicial system is telling them, you know,
the lowest these boss.
Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
And there'll be you know, people being talked to the head.
Why can I file a complain? How did we file
with the justice? How do we use our way? I
can file a complaint? Some I can bought complaints to
get any judges to do the miniums that they're supposed
to do because they're not doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
Brian the Constitution. We passed an amendments saying judges, when
setting bonds must consider community safety. When Judge William Mallory
set a bond for Meriweather, was he concerned about community safety?
And get it? Going back to Marine O'Connor, Marita Connor
was the Chief Justice. There was a multitude of difficulties
with a new judge named Tracy Hunter. And she called
(01:23:38):
and made an appointment to see her. She was in
town anyway. The Chief Justice just to say, woman to woman,
I know what you're going through. How can we help.
She goes to meet Judge Tracy Hunter in juvenile court,
who by the way, was worse than Kerry Bloom. And
she sat there for forty five minutes waiting for it,
and there was nothing going on in court in her courtroom,
waiting for the honorable Tracy Hunter to lower herself to
(01:24:01):
meet with the Chief Justice. And so that was amazing, amazing,
And now we have a great Chief Justice and Sharon
Kennedy I don't know, of course, I know intimately a
lot of the judges on the Supreme Court. I'm gonna
make a call to one or two of them to
see what we do with judges that don't follow the law,
which is the Constitution to consider public safety when setting
(01:24:24):
a bond. Judge Mallory could not have considered public safety
when setting a nothing bond for Meriwether. He couldn't have
considered it, and that's against the law. That's illegal.
Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
Well, please do it for the cisten of this county. Bill,
I'll trust you. You get on it, and you're a
good American.
Speaker 3 (01:24:43):
Have a good day.
Speaker 1 (01:24:43):
God bless you. Let's continue. And it just hurts me
to think how far we've come the last twenty years
after the so called riots in April of twenty oh one,
and which Luken and I walked up and down Vine
Street and he's telling me that he's gonna get Steve
Leeper out of Pittsburgh and they're going to get to
buy in a Procter and Gamble and fifth Third Bank
(01:25:04):
in Western and Southern John Barrett, we're going to remodel
OTR in the CBD, the Central Business District. You won't
believe in ten years what is going to look like.
I didn't believe it. Well, guess what I now believe
what it looks like. And now we're back again to
an area where the criminals are running amok. And there's
no sense that the judiciary or the schools or the
(01:25:26):
parents give a squad about downtown Cincinnati and it's got
to stop. Are you willing to stop? You might live
in Wyoming, you might live downtown, you might live in
Boone County. But we don't want to be Saint Louis.
We don't want to be Cleveland. We don't want to
be Memphis. We don't want to be Baltimore. And this
thing is teetering. We need leadership from a mayor and
from a city manager, and we don't have either. One
(01:25:49):
is present and the other ones out of her mind.
Let's continue two twenty six, Bill Cunningham seven hundred. Wow.
Speaker 11 (01:25:58):
Some scientists believely Man began speaking between fifty thousand and

Speaker 9 (01:28:41):
The city is it's just one another step and a
long series of steps where they embarrass themselves. I think
it's an outrage that the city council acted the way
they acted. If they keep going away, they're going I
don't know what's saying happen in our.
Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
City, quiet, and I'm I'm broadcasting The city is.
Speaker 9 (01:29:09):
It's just one another step and a long series of
steps where they embarrassed themselves. I think it's an outrage
that the city council acted the way they acted. If
they keep going away they're going, I don't know what's
saying happen in our city.
Speaker 1 (01:29:21):
And that's before half the city council. I went to
federal prison. That's who we need back right there, skid
side Lea's Charlie Lokens, get Richard K. Jones and Rob
Sanders in a panser movement left right south and just
come across and see the allies in the Soviets.
Speaker 14 (01:29:39):
Telling the story when Sile's custed me out. When I
was a member of Green Townships board and I was
down went down there. We were in fierce negotiations with
you know, the partnership with the county where you know,
you share services, right, we need to cops us in that.
And the price was this, and he wasn't budgeting on
the price. I said, the price need to be this.
(01:29:59):
And me and Frank Hile, our lawyer, went down to
his office, sat there and I'm like, oh my god,
you know a little bit uh he did, and then
he told us kicked us out to get the f
out of here. Rocky, I'm getting real f and sick
of you, and me and Frank Hile got up, walked
out and we got about you know, a street down
(01:30:22):
the way Sean Damon College said, come on back, we'll
do the deal.
Speaker 1 (01:30:25):
He sat there, he didn't talk the whole time, but
he and I have a great relationship. Though after that,
we need somebody to seize power. But he drives a
hard bargain, and that's what the damn city needs. What
about city council Member Parks? What can you tell me
about her? I just tweeted.
Speaker 14 (01:30:41):
I think it's political suicide. I don't think she can
come back from it. If she does, it shows you
just how far our city has gone.
Speaker 1 (01:30:49):
If she can tweet out there that those people got
what they deserved and she doesn't lose her job, there's
not a mass calling for her to be ousted, then
our city has gone too far than we already know.
Got a text of a friend of mine. I won't
mention his name, of course, thinking of Victoria Parks who
said those who were beat up deserve what they got.
(01:31:10):
Is this the same type of liberal piece of human
excrement who says sexual assault victims get what they deserve
because they dress provocatively. In other words, the victim brings
about the crime, and according to Victoria Parks, those tourists,
those white tours brought about their own demise because of
their behavior and possibly the use of the end word,
which is the most popular word in the African American community. Segment.
Speaker 14 (01:31:34):
I don't hear what anybody said, you know, if that
word was used, which I don't by no account I've
talked to it was. But did an innocent woman deserve
to be punched?
Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
One?
Speaker 1 (01:31:43):
Punched in the face? Well and then kicked on?
Speaker 10 (01:31:47):
Well?
Speaker 1 (01:31:47):
No, no segment your reaction to all this because you're
sitting there tomorrow you're going to confront wild man Walker,
who's going to come here with the mayor of Deer
Park at one thunder. Just make sure they know what
they're here for. It's the it's a festival, Okay, it's
the confront. I say it's not because of him and
(01:32:09):
versus me. I'm just saying, you'll go down in a
blaze of flames. Why don't you come out and be goodful?
Didn't you do it?
Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Segment?
Speaker 1 (01:32:16):
Why don't you confront him on the battlefield of I
wills confront him? I did for forty twenty three years
with him. Did you do his work for him?
Speaker 7 (01:32:23):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:32:25):
Why don't you tell him about man demand? If you
got the guts. I heard he did fifteen years ago.
Did he say when you said, get taped, get taped?
He was watching something that we weren't supposed to watch.
I mean porn on his computer. And I think, Bob Pittman,
it's one thing to watch porn. I'm very thought provoking.
Stude report here. And then then you're sitting there and
Boss go by and there's a couple doing a horizontal bop.
(01:32:49):
Not a good look. Not a good look for the
wild man, would you agree? Segment? And also Willie, I
want to know where the mayor is? You know where
the mayor is? Rock I got right, yeah, drumming up
business in British Columbia. If you sign in for this
job to be the mayor, shouldn't you be here when
crises occur? Something like this, something like this is pretty
big and pretty horrible. Wait till you go back gets
(01:33:11):
a hold of it at sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue. I
said to him, we got action.
Speaker 4 (01:33:16):
Well.
Speaker 1 (01:33:16):
I said to Bernie Morino that maybe he Trumpster ought
a visit. Queen Saron Bass would not allow in the
National Guard. There comes the Trumpster. So the next time
this happens, there comes the Trumpster with the army coming.
Speaker 15 (01:33:32):
The part that I saw that was really gruesome is
you had a grown man who sucker punched a middle
aged woman. And where I come from, at least when
you have a grown man whose sucker punch is a
middle aged woman, that person ought to go to jail
for a very long time. And frankly, he's lucky there
were some better people around because they would have handled
it themselves. But if they're gonna not gonna handle it,
(01:33:53):
the cops in Cincinnati, the law enforcement.
Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
You've got to prosecute people.
Speaker 15 (01:33:57):
We've had way too much lawlessness on the street to
great American cities. How many of you all have one
to go to downtown Akron, or downtown candor downtown Columbus
for a meal, But you're worried because local authorities and
these big cities have allowed lawlessness to run wild.
Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
American cities.
Speaker 15 (01:34:18):
I want to take your your wife or your children
out for a meal to be worried about street violence.
And the only way to destroy that street violence is
to take the thugs who engage in that violence.
Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
And throw their asses in prison. Yeah, and give them
a four hundred dollars cash bond to get out. Does
Victoria Parks understand the concept that you need people.
Speaker 14 (01:34:37):
You need women from Blue Ash and Kenwood and Green
Township in del High and all these other You need
them to come downtown went more businesses. That's that's how
things grow. And now thinks they're supportive without them.
Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
Here's what she said. They begged for that beat down.
Here's right here, I'm here, I'm calling. I'm calling right now.
Speaker 14 (01:34:58):
She's going to come out with a statement here late
he and say that her account was hacked, that that's
the play.
Speaker 1 (01:35:03):
Is that gonna work?
Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
No, it's not.
Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
She's gonna play, and everyone you know forgive her for it.
They beg to be beaten. She was hacked. Willie Stoote

were Russian immigrants or something, Well, that's what I'm told.
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 14 (01:36:18):
Russian immigrants were downtown at three a m. For the
jazz festival.
Speaker 1 (01:36:22):
That's what I'm told. Because if you're down, if you're
a Russian immigrant down there for that, you should voting
in Victoria Parks. They deserve the beat down. They deserved it,
and they got what they deserved. Know you're rolling, shut
your moss, your mouth, let your skullp bounce against the

And by the way, how about your friend Fiji looking
at the media and saying it's a problem. When there's
(01:36:45):

know what happened. So why the cops h bout those videos.
No one would know nothing, No one would say thank
you for they would keep happening over thank you for
putting it out there. Well, I have bodycams, then all
it does show the reason why people have the the

But Fiji's blamed the mask for a moment.
Speaker 14 (01:37:06):

Why don't we get this? He can't hit for average,
he has no power? Is that correct? Am I missing
something here? Probably? He's a young player. I think he
