Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time for the Bobby Bones post show. Here's your host,
Bobby Bone. Oh man, Well, what a great day. Thank
you guys. Appreciate you guys coming out. Wow, such a
warm applause there, you guys do stop cheering rather quickly though,
all of a sudden ones you're talking. That's why I know.
I know. I was just I told Ray before hit recorded,
(00:22):
was like, hey, hold on a second, but I don't
think you heard of me. I have to leave a
voicemail for my American Idol dressing room. It's gonna want
to hop over. And I've only ever made one diva
demand on American Idol. You want to hear what it was? Yes, well,
I was last two days ago. I was like, hey, guys,
I have to stop shooting Arkansas playing Baylor, like I
need to finish what I'm gonna finis because I gotta
go watch this game. It's the most important thing to me.
(00:43):
And they were like, you got it. I don't make
diva demands. I'm just happy to be there for the
most point. But I'm about to make not a demand.
I'm about to just ask for something and you can
tell me if it's a diva or this is your
second one in one week? Well, this isn't a diva demand,
but they always want to know because we're usually sometimes
we're there for all day, all night. Sometimes we're not.
Sometimes it's a four hour shoot. Sometimes we're there for
thirteen hours, especially if it's right before a show. And
so they ask, hey, what do you want in your
(01:04):
green room? And mostly for me, it's just water and
granola bars and stuff like that. But I'm gonna leave
a voice memo and you guys can hear it. Okay, okay,
hey am I green room. They've been leaving these green
smoothie juice type things and I ordered those way back
in the day when Caitlin was in there. I don't
like the green juice that much. I don't like all green.
(01:25):
Can you ask them to if they're gonna go to
that creation place to get more of a fruit type
of one, just because I don't like all the like
juices that are made out of leaves and parsley. So
if they could do like a strawberry or some kind
of juice, that would be better. Not a strawberry juice,
(01:46):
I don't, just something more fruity, all right, Thank you bye,
thank you you know what, I wanted to hate a
little bit, but that's not too bad. It was just
a little undecisive. Well, I didn't know what to say.
They're like ten thousand types and I just don't like
the green. Yeah, that's all you could have. That's all
you had to say. But but I wanted to hate.
(02:07):
But it wasn't too bad, buds. Why did you want
to hate though? Because I thought you were gonna go
real like, oh look look I want green Eminem's um.
The water was a little cool, Let's make it a
little more tap, a little more room temperature, but not
onen't bad. Oh you know what we do too sometimes
and I need to leave it with them about this. Hey,
yesterday we stole a bunch of coconut waters out of
the room and took them back to the hotel. Don't
(02:28):
forget they're in Tom's bag, so leave them before we
go back in the room. All right, thanks, we're total hillbuilders.
Oh yeah, Eddie. We go in and if there's something good,
if they leave, they're like, hey, here it is, and
we don't eat it that day or use it. We
put in our backpacks and take it back at the hotel.
Or I'll fly back to Nashville sometimes bones when we
would do ready new stuff. My kids would love when
I got home because they're like, all right, what's in
(02:49):
Dad's bad? What did you bring back from the green rooms? Yeah,
you can take me out of Arkansas. I can't take
Arkins out of me for sure. Um, but yes, that
is that's what's up. Thank you. I got that cleared. Um,
I have a pile of stuff I wanted to talk about.
I think Eddie heard me given Mike notes and want
to hand me and he was like, well, that's weird.
(03:09):
That's a weird combo of stories. The NFL will now
play seventeen games. Ed, do you know about this? Yes?
How you? Phil? I mean, I feel like it's just
them trying to make up for lost money a last
season because they didn't make any money because all the
stadiums were empty. So I'm saying I'm thinking they said, guys,
we need to add one more game next year so
all the stadiums can make money and teams can make money,
(03:29):
and then that's it, and then they're then they're just
gonna keep it going and make more money. Such, Eddie,
it's such a small piece as ticket sale. Such is
such a small Yeah, but I mean you got to
think the whole year was lost last year. They gotta
make up that TV revenue money is where it's at sale. Yes,
they didn't make as much, but they didn't they weren't hurting,
I guarantee you. And they've been trying for seventeen games forever. Wow,
(03:51):
Like what explained to me? Like, what's the whole Why
do they want to add one more game? Well, because
it is more money, but it's they they're not doing
it because of last year and hurting and hurting, like
they're not going oh, correct, because the players are going
to get in the end. What they do is they
negotiate with the players union and things are broken down
percentage wise. And but it's not because of COVID. This
(04:12):
is happening. Okay. The season also won't start earlier. People
were excited about that it'll be extended and so each
team still only gets one bye week. The players will
benefit financially, they won't get paid more, but as a
whole they get a share of the revenue which I
was talking about, which is I think forty eight, but
now it's just gonna go up a percentage point. So
by adding a game. What will happen is in future years,
(04:35):
the contracts will get bigger because there's more money to
then spend on contracts. Does that make sense? Yeah, it does.
And hey, as a fan, I like it. I mean,
more football for us. Here's the weird part. Not every
team is gonna have say number home games, because you
have seventeen games and they're gonna have to figure out
who's playing, who's you know, home and away. But listen,
I'm a fan of them having more games. I'd love
(04:57):
if they cut you know, an exhibition game or two.
Those are terrible. The preseason games, yeah, oh yeah, I
just want to see, you know, Quincy Carter get some
snaps with the Cowboys. You know, those are the days
I think he can really do it easy, you know,
play great. The Congressman Matt Gates is being invested investigated
over a relationship with a seventeen year old and so
(05:18):
Florida's Matt Gates has had a sexual relationship with an
underage girl and paid to travel with him, according to
reports and investigators. Now, this is a whole story, if true, terrible.
What it reminds me of, though, is the Jerry Seinfeld story.
Just that and I didn't say anything illegal. But where
this Matt Gates guy may get in trouble is I
believe the rule as you can't have someone travel over
(05:40):
state lines. And I don't know the rule on seventeen
at thirty in Florida. Anyway, I'm just reading that article
because it led me to this story. Here. So Seinfeld
when he was thirty eight years old, he was dating
a seventeen year old back in the day, nineteen ninety three. Crazy, huh, Yeah,
We've talked about this. I think. Here's the story from
I Believe People Real life. Jerry Seinfeld, comedian TV star
(06:03):
in Life Observer was was strolling through Central Park one
day in May nineteen ninety three when he spotted a
stranger he now calls quote the most wonderful girl in
the world. Seinfeld, then thirty eight, walked over, made small
talk and went away with the telephone number of Showshanna Lowenstein,
then seventeen and a senior at the private Nightingale Bamford's
school in Manhattan. Oh my god, he's thirty eight. I
(06:26):
would tap out for it not being creepy at about
twenty two. Even then, I would go that's maybe a
little too old. But thirty eight, I'm forty. I'm about
to be forty one. That's pretty close to that. Yeah,
no chance, Yeah, And I think you really get the
feeling of that, like when you have a daughter and
you see her at seventeen, just like this, she's not
(06:47):
ready to do date. She's not ready to date a man.
Man like, she's not ready to make any kind of
big decision like that. And that's just it's very creepy
to me. Weird story. And you hope that Matt Gate
stuff isn't true, but it doesn't not look good at all.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake Cities Gen Shaw arrested, charged
with fraud. Now I watched Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
(07:08):
You're forced to watch it at first. Now you just
love it. Well, I don't pursue it now, but I
don't fight it anymore because I kind of know the
people a little bit, like I know you know, but
there's one girl in their gin, her and her assistant.
I've been arrested and charge by the FEDS for involvement
in national telemarketing schemes where they would go after elderly
(07:29):
people and or after they've already gone after them give
their info to other people who could defraud them. They're
charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to
commit money laundering. Get them fifty years in jail. She
was filming season two yesterday everything went down. I saw
them walk her out of the house the cops. TMZ
was out there too. I don't know how TMZ got
a shot. Maybe just somebody recorded it and sold at
(07:50):
to TMZ. How did they get everything? People just I
guess they just get it because again more TMZ wasn't
out there for Morgan Wallen. They've broken the number. Neighbor
is the one who recorded it, which, by the way,
you know, I went to our bosses weeks ago and
was like, hey, why how long are we gonna not
play Morgan Wallen? Like what's what's the what's the plan here?
(08:10):
Because I just want to know, like what's the plan?
Because I don't make those decisions obviously, and it was
what I was told was because I'm an advocate of Okay,
what are you gonna do? Never plays music? Again? Let's
let's be real here, like what do we need to
know so that we feel good about re embracing him?
(08:32):
I feel good about it. Now, but it's not my
decision to do so. And I said, um, what are
we doing here? And they're like, you know what, I
don't think they're they're even asking for it right now.
I think Morgan's away getting himself to the place where
he's better, they're better. And I was like, great, that's
all I needed to know, Like, I'm not trying to
hold some guy's career hostage over something he can come
back from. And they're like, he's still, you know, honest
(08:55):
way back. I think they've been talking to his people,
and so I just want to know. I think most
people wanted to like, what is what is the plan?
I don't I don't get to schedule music or program music.
But I think that's it. I think everybody's just kind
of in a holding patterny, including him and his team.
For me, I'm just going, what are we gonna do
penilize this guy for the rest of his life, Like,
let's let it, Let's give him a shot however he
(09:19):
feels he needs to redeem himself, do it. Um talk
to Jimmy Allen about that on the Bobycast a couple
weeks ago too. But it's an interesting situation. What are
your thoughts. That's a good update. I mean, I think
a lot of people are wondering that, and I think
that people really are still fighting like the play Morgan Wallen,
and that's good to know that really it's not in
radio's hands. So that's that's good to me. But at
(09:40):
the same time, so I don't follow him on social media,
is he doing anything? Because I see old nothing okay nothing,
So then he's really just taking a break, and I
think people should you respect him for that. I think
it's a good thing. I mean, on my TikTok or
post anything. If I'm like, look, here's the picture of
my shoe, I know, I know anything, and I'm like, guys, listen,
I don't have a problem with Morgan Wallen. My only
(10:03):
stance was at the beginning was what I can play
him today? And I think he probably needs to go
and adjust some stuff in his life and then come
back and let's talk about it then. And that's what
he's doing. That's exactly what he did and is doing.
I saw a post about like you and the wedding
or whatever, and people just I don't care about your wedding.
When are you playing Morgan Wallen? Like it's good to
know that it's out of our hands. Yeah, it's And
(10:24):
if I just came on and played it, I get
in so much freaking trouble because I think the company
is working with that team over there, like they're working
hand in hand. Don't think they're not. But that's a whole,
that's a situation. It is developing. Kendall Jimmer Kendall Jimmer Kendall.
Jenner is beefing up security after after a guy swam
naked in her pool. Oh, how does someone that rich
and famous end up having somebody slipped the cracks and
(10:45):
get neck in her pool? Like? How do they get
in there? I think you gotta. I think we assume
that the security is way better than it really is.
I assume they're like x Russian agents dressed in all
black with a gun all the way around, you know,
holding it out. You would think. But do you see that?
Do you ever see that clip of Susanne Summers, the
girl that was in through his company, Like she was
recording something in her house and some dude just walks
(11:06):
up and she goes HI, like how did you get
in here? He's like, Oh, I just bucked in the
back door. Really yeah, and she he's just there and
standing there like, Okay, we're gonna escort you out because
you shouldn't be here right now. Dang. Luckily he didn't
attack her, I know he didn't. It didn't seem like
he had the intention to attack her. He just was
just trying to get in somewhere. Call a flower flavored
(11:26):
peeps now exist thanks to a collaboration with Green Giant.
Is this an April Fools joke? What is it? Calliflower peek? Yeah?
Call a flower flavored peeps. I just can't see that happening.
I just can't see that being at something people buy it?
Does We're gonna, you know, VW change their name to
(11:50):
volt Volkswagen, not Volkswagen, but Volkswagen. Do you see that? Oh,
because they're doing an electric car, right Volkswagen. But I
think they've said now that is an April fools Like
we're gonna starting to see what's going on. Okay, guys,
So so what about this pepsi peeps? Is that April fools?
You see that one? There are they yellow? I don't know,
but there's like a peep's flavor. But that makes sense.
I would eat. I don't really like peeps that much,
(12:12):
but I would eat a pepsi peep. It's two sugary things. Yeah,
it's real, there's a real mine. We have to play this,
dumb they We have to play this game like real
or not. I mean, let's be on if Okay, we're
gonna go ahead and tell you guys an aprifol's joke
that we've been pulling on you guys for a year.
Eddie doesn't have any kids. Wait, it's just been all story.
So Eddie doesn't know that either. They've been faked kids
(12:33):
from other families. We've planted in his house, just recording
a lot of footage of him living. Well, they're mine now.
One dose of the vaccine is still eighty percent effective.
That's pretty good to know. Huh yeah, that's awesome. I
got one dose in me. How about to get dose too?
When is that for you? Next Monday? Monday? Monday, And
they've planned I've planned out a little time for me
to be sick. That's how it works, right, You schedule
(12:56):
your time to be sick. It's like a week in advance.
I've even myself a full day to be ill. So
if it doesn't happen, that'll just be a day for
me to chill. If it does happen, great, But I
cannot be sick for more than one day because I
have an Eric Church album really special to record. So
let my calendar know that I can only be sick
for a day. I think that's it. Let me mention
(13:18):
this little nas X shoe controversy. By the way, I
don't know anything about it. People stop falling for this.
Stop falling for it. People are like, uh, listen, I'm
not comfortable with it. I don't want doubt. I don't
want show shoes that have, you know, a pentagram on
it with human blood in them. But all this is
meant to do is to create attention, Like that's it.
(13:40):
The biggest thing. Yes, people like, cancel him off count radio.
Hein't no cut your radio. I can't cancel him, he's
not on it. But this was just a ploy to
have people talk about it and make a little money.
And people are falling for it. Stop just stop talking
about it. You wanted to go away, Stop talking about it.
(14:01):
The end. He's not a devil worshipper. I mean, I
don't think he is nothing at all. Yeah, But throughout
the history of music artists have used the devil to
create high Yeah, every generation someone does this, and then
every generation you have people at church creating sermons about it,
(14:24):
and it's a culture war. And you know who wins
the culture war. The artist Metallic is not devil worshippers.
Led Zeppelin, they didn't sell their soul to the devil.
Azzi didn't. This is just something people do to get
you to talk about them and to get people to
be upset about it. The same people that were never
going to buy purchase consume their material anyway. But what
(14:48):
it does is those people obsessing over it puts it
into the mainstream. Then everybody reads about it, and the
people that weren't bothered are reading about it and going,
let me check it out, and then they benefit. What's
the deal with little nazas? Like, that's all I'm saying,
(15:08):
don't get butt hurt, just moving butt on. Nobody cares.
It's not real. You're being played. Every preacher saying, hey,
this is the Devil's work. No it's not. It's a
pr team. You're being played. Stop being played. Look in
the sixties, the seventies, eighties, and nineties, they do this
(15:30):
over and over again. He's getting richer. You're getting played anyway,
that's all. It's just creating a culture war. And then
this culture war, no one on the side against him
was listening. It was really consuming him anyway. He's making
(15:52):
money making shoes. I ain't buying those shoes. I don't
want the six six six shoes. They're getting sued by
Nike as well. Nike has nothing to do with it.
The end. Just remember one thing about this, you're getting played.
I think I'll remember that. Yeah, all right, I think
that's it for now. I'm tired. I've kind of it.
Kind of does sound like SI felt a little bit though.
(16:12):
Huh oh when you say that, yeah sure, yeah, yeah,
you guys have a great day. Follow me on Instagram,
mister Bobby Bones. Mr Bobby Bones. That's it, by everybody.
