I'm in my house. I can just kind of take
my time. And then you looked at the clock, it's

phone with Froggy. I said, I haven't even showered yet,
and that was what at five till six? Yes, So

(04:49):
totally forgot about that song. Yeah, so do we whw
did you remember it? Because we had scary pull up
all Britney Spears songs and then we started listen to
them and we were actually all really feeling I'm a
slave for you too. But we decided on Circus because
it's been longer since we heard that one. Okay, all right,
well there you go. Well, thank you for choosing that.
I can't wait to find out what you did last night,
(05:10):
how you're feeling today. We'll get into that in a
few moments, but let's check in with Pamela on nine
to nine, our first caller of the day. She just
got back to Philly from Florida. Hello, Pamela, welcome back
to the Northeast. Oh, listen to you. You sound so
fun and thank you, thank you. So how was your
(05:31):
trip to Florida? You didn't bring anything back with you,
did you? You You know what I'm saying. No, we're very
very careful not to social distancing. But it was fun
to you with the whole family for an extended period,
which is rare. Good. That's nice, good, good, good good, Well,
welcome back. But also is it good to be home
back to Philly. It is. It's great to be back.
I love it here and I love you guys, and
(05:52):
you always make everyday special for me. Where were you
in Florida for your extended period family time. We were
in Placida. It's just north of Santa Belle and Fort Myers. Yep. Nice.
You know we're all we're following you. We're well because
when Froggy was down in Miami and then uh, I'm sorry,
(06:16):
yeah Miami. And then also I waved to him when
I went through Jacksonville, I saw you back. This is me.
I was thinking of you, guys, and it's always good
to say, Oh I'm sorry, Elvis. No, go ahead, what
do you want to say? I just wanted to say
I've tried for so many times over the years, and
(06:39):
I can't believe this is my day. Because I spoke
to Carla Marie, I've spoken to Diamonds. I've spoken to
Nate a few times. So today is it. It's a
great day. Wow, Nate, Nate. Why was today Pamela's day?
What was it at Pamela had that no one else
had today? For first caller of the day, she well,
you know, she was the first one through and then
she just had that energy that I think we needed
(07:01):
to start our day Illvis, I like that. Thank you
for another word I want to say this year, but
I'll be there yea too. Oh yeah, I loved to
tell you guys, well, thank you. We love you too, Pamela.
And of course we know the real reason why you
were chosen to be first caller of the day. You're
the only one who called it, only one who cares,
(07:21):
and we love you for that, We really do, Pamela.
We're going to send you a set of Elvis Durand
morning show scrubs from our friends at Hackensack Meridian to
wear them with pride and welcome home to Philly. And
I hope you have a beautiful, beautiful day today. Okay,
well you guys will make it beautiful. Thank you so much.
Well that's a lot of pressure now, thank you. Hold on, Pamela,
(07:43):
thanks for listening. And there you go. I agree, she's
a great first caller of the day. So how was
your night? A one to ten last night? Danielle? How
was it? I will give it a ten? It was
a ten last night? Oh god? What about your night? Yeah?
I think it was definitely I will say a nine
because I miss my boyfriend. But other than that, everything's great, yeah,
(08:05):
scary one to ten, ten being the best. Your night
last night was a four. Oh, we'll get into that later. Okay, Okay,
we've got things to do. What about you, fog you
what was your night last night? It might have been
at three? Oh god, we've got all we have content
show straight Nate, how was your night last night? It
(08:26):
was at eleven? Elvis? WHOA didn't that funny? How if
you had a nine or ten? It's like, oh great,
if you had like a three. We need to dig
and find out more, and we will. It is absolutely
let's get let's get into your horoscopes. What are they
looking like today? All right, Capricorn, you are preparing for
something big in your future. Enjoy the peace and quiet
(08:47):
now before things get really busy your days and nine Aquarius,
open your heart confidently and allow people to see the
real you. Your day is a seven, hey, pice. Sometimes
the most obvious things to you are not as clear
as others feel. As others feel, so just go and
explain yourself. Your day isn't eight. Ari's happiness is an attitude,
so make it a point to spread your good mood
(09:07):
to everyone. Your day is a ten. All right, Taurus,
be patient and welcoming to change. Do not resist with
the future may already have in store for you. Your
days and eight gem and I. Focus on gratitude and
be mindful of the moments you're spending with other people.
Your day is an eight Cancer. Be direct and forward
with criticism that you may have of a friend or
a family member. They're going to appreciate the honesty. Your
(09:28):
day is a seven Hey, Leo, feel waitless. The people
you choose to spend your time with are directly involved
in your mood, so remember choose wisely. Your day is
a ten Virgo. When in conflict, do not try to
hold back on saying what is truly on your mind.
It's always best to speak with your heart. Your day
is a nine Libra. Forage your path forward with confidence.
(09:50):
You are humble in your approach, and people love that
positivity you're putting out. Your day is a nine Scorpio.
Try not to overindulge while your mind is in need
of a break, trying to find that happy medium. Days
and nine and Sagittarius. Your hard work is not going unnoticed,
so keep striving to be all that you can be.
Your days and eight, and those are your Thursday morning horoscopes.
All right, let's roll into the three things we need
(10:11):
to know Gondhi while we were asleep, What happened, what's
going on? All kinds of stuff. It's official. If you're
heading to the New York, New Jersey or Connecticut area
and you're from one of the nine states that are
considered hot spots for the coronavirus, you will have to
quarantine for fourteen days. That order is taking effect today.
New York's Governor Cuomo says that police will stop people
with out of state license plates, and violators could face fines. Currently,
(10:33):
the death toll has passed on twenty three thousand here
in the United States, with some predictive models estimating one
hundred and fifty thousand total deaths over the next few weeks.
So keep following those guidelines. National Guard troops we'll be
back out on the streets of Washington, DC to protect
statues and monuments from protesters, as some of them have
been pulled down and monuments have been defaced. Four hundred
(10:54):
unarmed troops will be sent in to support local law enforcement.
And finally, Google is starting its own news service. Their
parent company said in a blog this morning that it
will begin paying select media outlets to take part in
a news service later this year. The post said that
licensing deals will start in three countries, and Google is
in talks with publishers and six more. However, we don't
(11:14):
know exactly when the service will start, but they say
it will be high quality content that we all need.
And those are your three things, which I wonder which
way it's gonna leanne Google News. I don't know. Is
that fake? I don't know? Google it? All right? Well? Good, uh,
I've just said an idea for people who are coming
back to the Northeast and have to quarantine for four
(11:34):
days or for two weeks, we should open up quarantine ranches.
That's a great idea. Do it. Yay, We're gonna be millionaires.
Did do it? Oh? You start, I'll join later. All right.
It is Thursday. You guys ready for your Thursday? Yeah?
All right, come on, let's have a Thursday. This is
(11:55):
this is Iana Gonde. Hey, let's up a policy with
Alva stir in this ten in the morning shot. Hey,
it's scary Jones. And when it comes to home, an
auto insurance state farm is the real deal? Vile acclaim
or pay your bill with the award winning State Farm
Mobile app, or contact any of their nineteen thousand local
agents who are ready to help, like a good neighbor.
(12:17):
State Farm is there in the morning show. Okay, now
I'm a little little nosy, a little curious. Let we'll
start with you, scary. Why was your day a four yesterday?
What was so bad? Um? The fact that I had
a very late dinner and I pigged out. I didn't
(12:41):
I stay saved up until like eight o'clock, eight thirty,
and I decided to eat dinner. At that moment, I'm like,
you know what, now I want dinner. And then I
ordered take out. It didn't get din all a quarter
to ten, and then I picked out, and I'm looking
at myself at my kitchen table, and I'm like, what
am I doing? So my day went evin dinner right
there after eight o'clock at night, at the last minute,
(13:01):
last minute. See, I can't sleep on a full stomach.
All right, that's okay. Well, if that's ship took you
to a four, that's not awful. I mean, that's really
not at awful if you think about it. What about you,
foggy Froggy had a three curious what happened yepp Lisa eight?
Did you have? Well? Lisa ate lunch late, which is
always a problem because then it screws up our dinner.
So last night, to prove a point, I got dinner
(13:23):
from the place that's her favorite place to get dinner
that we go once a week. So when she ate
lunch late, I'm like, ha ha, you're gonna pay for
this lunch late. So I went and got dinner from
the place that I knew she wanted dinner from. But
she wasn't gonna eat dinner last like a shape dinner late,
so I got my own dinner. She got mad, started
an argument, and then Wednesday night, as usually are, like
you know, do at night, usually do it on Wednesday nights.
(13:45):
She made it very clear to me early on, like
six pm, that we were not doing it on Wednesday
night because she it was like just one payback after
the next. I couldn't wait for the day to be over.
I don't understand why you guys even like each other,
because all you do is pick on her. All you
do is I'll show her she ate lunch late, so
I'm gonna order her favorite dinner and rubb her face
in it. Really right, that's what they do. It's but
(14:07):
it was but it was so good though, Oh valley smoke,
it was so good. Okay, wait a minute. So you're
saying that was your night and it was a three?
Are you and scary or a bunch You're a bunch
of whiny babies? If that's what made you had a
bad stupid as this I thinking we were gonna do it,
and then we didn't do it and made my dad.
(14:28):
By the way, and by the way, do we really
feel comfortable knowing that Wednesday is their due at night? Gandhi,
what say you? I'm sad that there's a due at
night when people get married. I'm telling you what. Everyone
just scares me when it comes to marriage, mostly Froggy
and Lisa, because it's like they're in competition. It's a weird.
This is a weird game going on there. Hey, Danielle,
(14:48):
you're good friends with Froggy and Lisa. Did you know
that Wednesday nights with her due at nights? Now? And
now I really you know? Now I have this visual
every Wednesday. Now I'm gonna go, oh great, I wonder
if now's the time they're doing it and scaries night
used to be Sunday night, remember before the COVID night
Morning on Sunday Morning, CBS Sunday Morning. Let me ask you,
(15:14):
so when you watch CBA Sunday Morning, if you watch
your familiar so at the very end of the show
where they give you like a moment of quiet nature,
is that when you like whip it out. Here's Jane,
here's Jane Pauly. We now take you to Yellowstone Park.
We watched the bald eagle and it's little children in
the nest and he heard birds chirping and the wind blowing.
(15:36):
Then scary, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't do it. Then
you see the snakes in the grass. Come on, Rob,
that was scary. No, that was go away, you've ruined
It was nature that was so awesome. That was awesome. Yeah,
mine is a free all right, okay, we must move
(16:00):
duer Sam. Hi, good morning, Hi, good morning. What was
your night? On a scale of one to ten, ten
being the best of your night was a Mine was
as an eight because William and I are trying to
be adults, and we brought home paint samples so we
could do a couple of rooms that bring it down
from a ten or up from a six. It brought it,
(16:21):
It brought it up from a six because I literally
did not move a muscle otherwise. So I was like
starting really low. And then yeah, adulting, very good, adulting.
Good for you. I hope you chose some vibrant colors.
And remember you know what be bold and it's it's okay.
If you paint a wall and you hate, you hate
what you ended up with, you can always paint over it.
It's not like telling him it's true, producer Sam, give
(16:43):
us some feel goods? What do you have today? All right?
So I don't know if you guys saw this story
over the weekend, but right now it's a two parter.
So in Chicago on Father's Day, a Southeast side vendor
named Ron Don Rosario rather was pushing his ice pop
card around, which he's been doing for fifty years. This
man is seventy years old and he's still doing this.
(17:05):
So he thankfully took the right route because he rolled
past a family gathering. It was the Gonzales Domingez family gathering,
and they decided to buy up this man's entire inventory
just so he could go home for Father's Day and
enjoy it with his family like he deserved too. They
took a video of it. That video went viral. It
is up at elvistrand dot com. But afterwards they decided
(17:27):
that that was not enough because this man, again seventy,
worked super hard for fifty years and it's almost dangerous
to be a vendor in that area because a lot
of the times they get robbed because they carry cash
on them. So and efforts to keep him safe. This
family started a go fund me page and in under
twenty four hours they raised almost forty grand for this man.
(17:52):
They want him to retire, they want him to stay safe.
Donations poured in from over forty states, and they said,
when we all come together, we can do some think
great for others. So it's beautiful. You've got to see
photos of this man trying to hold back tears as
he sold everything on Sunday. They're working to get him
the money right now, and I'm just so happy for
this man, whom I've never met. He just seems like
such a sweetheart. Everyone who donated, and if you have
(18:16):
a story that deserves to be featured, email me Sam
at Elvis dran dot com subject line feel goods, so
many great stories. He got the money to help him
push through on what Father's Day and the Domingus Gonzalez
family got all those ice pops, are still eating them.
They froze him and it's all great. Well, thank you, producer, Sam.
We love you. What's for dinner tonight? Tonight we're doing
(18:38):
pizza good? That sounds good? Yeah, I does mean I
have to join you. All right, Thank you, producer. Same.
Have a beautiful day today. Okay, love you guys. Excellent?
All right? Uh, what are we doing here? Is it?
Danielle time? We're doing a break? Taking a break? Tease her?
You don't eat a tease Danielle. Hey, Danielle, I'd love
(19:00):
run my fingers to your head. Coming up, Celena Gomez
is doing something to create a Black equality fund, so
she's doing her part. All right, perfect that and more,
Also your thousand dollars free money phone taps coming up,
and John Legend joins us. He has the best album.
I listen to it again last night. He'll be on
(19:20):
with us in a couple of hours. All right, we'll
be back after this. Stupid in the Morning show. Nelstrand
in the Morning Show. Hey, so how long do you
experience a symptom before you go google it? Am I crazy? Oh? Oh,
(19:41):
I'm immediate. As soon as I have, like a cough
that sounds different than a cough I've had before, I
type in all the keywords and it always comes back
you either have a cold or like stage four cancer
and you're dying. There's no it's one of the I
died three times yesterday. Oh God, you think up kidding.
I'm like, well, okay, well I'm with you. I get
(20:03):
this weird thing in my throat and I'm pretty sure
it's related to allergies. Okay, So of course I'm digging
deep man. I went to every website I could find
until I found the answer that would scare me the most,
up until I found like the answer that was going
to frighten me into like night terrors. Okay, so um,
(20:28):
I don't. Oh. And also, I have that new oxygen
thing you cram your finger in and it tells you
how your oxygen levels are going. It's like it's like
the the COVID must Have toy and they say it's
good to be in the nineties as close to one
hundred as you can get for your oxygen levels whatever,
and so mine went down to nineties a day, and
I was like, what, it's never been down below ninety three?
(20:48):
I Google. They said, no, you're okay, You're still in
an inacceptable area. No, not good enough. I kept looking
until someone told me that ninety was scary. And it
was some homemade site. It was some Bob, someone like
a kid, an eight year old. Anyway, Well, yesterday I
had a lung condition and a heart condition. I just
(21:10):
want you all to know that you're busy. I was
very buy yesterday. Danielle had like a respiratory day, going hey,
this is a this is an interesting Can we get
Bob on line twenty four? We got your text, Bob,
how are you doing this morning? You good? Oh yeah,
I'm doing pretty good. Thank you. Well, I loved your
text rather than me read it. Go ahead and tell
(21:33):
the story, okay, sure, yeah. Well I I went out
yesterday just because I felt like going to a drive.
I don't get down too much except for a small
errands when I need groceries. And I decided to go
for a drive. And I went to a Starbucks where
I knew a friend of mine worked, not even knowing
if she would be there that day, so I took
(21:54):
a chance. I went in. They said she was in
the back, so she came out to say hi, and
she instinctively just walked towards me with her arms outstretched,
and I went, oh, are we hugging? And she went, oh, yeah, sure, whatever,
and so I went into the hug and then, not
gonna lie, it felt awesome because I hadn't actually hugged
(22:16):
someone in four months. That's amazing. But I gotta say though,
I gotta say also, I would have enjoyed it a
lot more if it wasn't that twinge of anxiety, because
I wasn't. Of course, Yeah, I hesitated at first, and
then I then I decided onland with the hell, and
I hugged her back and uh. And also she made
(22:38):
me this very special Offerman you drink that was mastical
and so it really upped the number of my day. Uh,
you know that's incredible, seven too, A ten. Yeah, Bob.
I gotta tell you two thing. Two things. Number one,
I'm I'm super happy that you experienced the intimacy of
hugging someone. And the second thing, I'm so glad I'm
(22:59):
not in the room with you with no mask on exactly.
I'm kiddy, I'm kiddy, I'm kidding. I don't know. We all,
we all, we all need to hug, you know, we
we need we need that, we need that in our lives.
And I don't know, Uh, it's I think once I'm
gonna be able to hug people again, it's it's gonna
it's gonna be awkward. I'm gonna feel that same tinge
(23:20):
of or whatever of of anxiety as you felt. Is
tender word anyway, But I get it. I get it. Yeah,
I do. You know. I know that over our vacation
we're gonna be we're gonna see some friends, and you know,
and still we go through that song and dance where
I can't wait till we see you six feet apart
(23:41):
from each other outside with a breeze and nowhere near
each other. You know, it's like we still feel like
we have to explain how we're going to your choreograph,
our meeting. You know, It's just it's a part of
our lives now, and I can't wait till that's over,
rightn't wait? Hugging me the wink, and so I was
(24:03):
leaning more into the reward aspect of it. Yeah, I know,
I know, and you know you gotta let it go.
I think that's great though, and thanks for sharing that
with us. I'm I'm glad that you had a good
day because of it. You took a problem, I mean,
you took a chance, but you did. Okay, Well, thank
thanks for sharing that with us, Bob, and you go
have a good day. Okay, here you go, Bob, the
(24:25):
lone hugger, Bob. He's out in the streets, Bob. Anyway,
So yeah, hugging. Wow, that sounds like good, That sounds
like fun. It's crazy, it does. That's when I first
came to Columbus a couple days ago and I got
to see my sister for the first time. I went
to hug her and even my sister, who I know
(24:46):
what she's doing. I know what she's up to, but
she's out there working. I paused for a second and
then I held my breath and I was like, it's
my sister. She's getting a hug. It's happening. Yeah. Yeah,
it felt really great. And Nate brought up a really
good point. All of us on this show, when we're together,
we're buggers. We all each other we're all. Yeah, we're
all very very physical with each other. Not in a
creepy wake so for scary, scary's creepy, but we all
(25:08):
have this way of just always just you know, we
have this family intimacy. If I don't know, it sounds
creepy to some, but that's what we have, you know, No,
it very much is that. And we you know, if
Daniell's shoulders are hurting, either all give her a backscratch
or like Natal, give her a rag or something like that.
We're all very close to each other physically, so m yep,
we can still well, I can still snack your butt
(25:30):
is the butt? The butt? Okay, yeah, yeah, you can
do that problem all right. Uh Froggy's the first to
eat something today. What do you? What do you eat?
My normal every morning veggie straws. I sent him something
the other day about his veggie straws. He's in there
(25:55):
hammering his little veggie straws every day, right for health.
But I saw a comparison of straws to French fries,
and the French fries were way better for you. But
I don't he doesn't buy it, so I don't believed
fries are better for you than a bag of venue straws.
I'm like, yeah, maybe if you eat two of them,
But nobody eats two McDonald's fries. You had to eat
the whole pack. Sorry, didn't mean back to hugging. Someone
(26:19):
on the text message said I'm a cactus, no hug
I've never heard that. That's the hilarious. I gotta tell
you reading the text. When we have a chance to
look over there, you know, out of the corners of
our eyes, people write the best stuff. We've got the
smartest listeners. I mean, we have a couple of clunkers
(26:41):
out there. No offense, but scary. What is your question? Well,
you know, the other day in their software update, Apple
and some Android phones with there with Google and others,
they added this. We talked about this. I believe this
COVID nineteen exposure logging tracker to your phone. It's not
part of your phone, but it's in the off position,
(27:03):
so you have to actually opt in and sign up
for it. Is that something that you guys are gonna do?
Because I was thinking about it. I was thinking about
actually turning it on and going through the process. But um,
you know it's not Again, it's not mandatory and it's
it's not already tracked. I don't know, but it's on
your phone or more about settings A, privacy and health.
I don't know about it, privacy and health and Froggy,
(27:24):
you're the Apple expert. What should we be doing here?
I don't know. I've read that people are saying it's
tracking that I've read that it's not. They're saying that
it's more of a way to see where you if
you do test positive. It's a way they can go
back and look where you've been and they can trace
where you possibly have come into contact with it, or
where people could have come in contact with you and
maybe they have it. Yeah, well, listen, there is some
(27:47):
social responsibility, don't you think? I mean, go ahead, gandhi,
But should we be responsible for if we do have
COVID tracking down and tracing where we've been and who
we've exposed? I think I'm sorry, No. I just a
lot of people are still worried about your phone tracking you. One,
your phone is probably tracking you already because if you
haven't shut it off, it's on. And two all those
(28:07):
apps that Scary loves so much, like Snapchat and whatnot,
they're tracking you too, so you might as well just
turn it on and do your thing. Yeah. Yeah. For Apple,
it's under privacy and then health, and then you'll see it.
It's right there, boom, but it'll be off because that's
the default. But you have to go through a process
to turn it on. I don't know. I think I
needed to do an update. I don't see privacy and
health on my phone. Oh yeah, you gotta hit that update.
(28:28):
I see a privacy all right. Daniel still on iOS four?
She doesn't, doesn't I have updated. I'm updated to five.
You be quiet, okay, Daniel? A right, we get that's good.
Daniel is still using a razor. I mean, not on
our face, but on our phone. All right, let's get
(28:50):
into it. It hates us. What's going on? All right?
So Alex Trebek donated five one hundred thousand dollars to
help the Hope of Valley Rescue Mission build a new
homeless shelter in Los Angeles. It will have seniors. It
will break ground within the next year or two. He
also gave them one hundred thousand dollars for their North
(29:11):
Hollywood locations. So he's a pretty cool guy. We love him.
This is cool. Netflix is testing a feature that lets
you delete shows from your viewing history. So if you're
watching something embarrassing froggy, I don't know, naid, maybe scary,
now it won't show up that guilty pleasure won't show
up and you're continue watching row. Android users have access
(29:34):
to the feature right now, but it will be rolled
out for iOS on June twenty night. How crazy. I
feel like Android users are getting something first. Does that
happen a lot that doesn't? They always get they get
everything first? Yeah, do they? According to Bronie. According to Bronie, so,
I don't know if you've been following poor Savannah Guthrie,
but she's been doing her own hair and makeup, which
(29:56):
a lot of people have been doing. So for today,
she's been doing her own hair and makeup. Now people
have been picking on her. Somebody's been taking to her
social and saying, with what they pay, you can't you
afford a hairstylist. I love their natural, unkempt look, but
it's distracting on NBC News, National News, whatever. So she
(30:16):
takes the social and she writes, we're all doing our
own hair and makeup during the pandemic, and yes it
shows I went back and I was looking at pictures
of her. She looks adorable, she did. I don't know
what the hell they're talking about. She looks she looks
better than me on my best day when I have
my hair and makeup paid for. So I don't know
what the hell they're talking about. Yeah, people are so mean.
(30:40):
She looks exactly. Come on, So some crazy news every day,
their stories like this. Brian Singer in trouble again. More
sexual misconduct allegations been accused by a man on Twitter,
along with receipts of continuing to run a sex ring.
This time, they're saying he's trying to get influencers involved.
(31:02):
Comedian Jeff Ross has denied resurfaced allegations that he engaged
in a sexual relationship with a minor. He says it's
old news that's been investigated many times, so just crazy,
crazy news. Selena Gomez is doing something pretty cool. She
has been highlighting black voices on her Instagram page, so
she's doing more to promote racial To promote racial justice,
(31:24):
she teams up with plus one to create a Black
Equality Fund, and the purpose is to make sure that
money goes and awareness goes to people who needed people
at the forefront, so this is really cool. She's doing
her part. If you are a fan of David Dobrik
on YouTube, he is begging people to stop coming to
his house, to stop coming to other social influencers' houses.
(31:47):
He says, it's getting really, really scary. And if you've
noticed a lot of these stories have been popping up
that people are showing up at these YouTubers homes, you know,
they do a lot of their shouls from homes now
because we're at home since corona a virus, you know,
and people know where you live. And plus plus a
lot of them have their houses you know that they
live in um. And also he says that you have
(32:08):
to bear with him because it's harder to do a
lot of his stunts with coronavirus, and so eventually he'll
get back to doing all that again. In a related story,
related story, a scary is dying to be a social influencery.
He's dying for you to come over to his house.
So rather than rather than going up to the high House,
go to scary as apartment. He wants you to show.
(32:30):
It makes him feel real, it makes him feel like
an influencer. Yeah, Holy Moly's on tonight that one's very
scary series Fernale of Broke Grown Up Hip Hop Atlanta
And that's my Danielle report. Hey, you know we have
Ashley on the phone. I don't know if you were
listening to the day the other day. Ashley says that
she had to do a speech about someone who she
(32:51):
felt was an influence on her life. And she did
a speech about about me, about us, our show. Yeah,
and so I want to ask her how it went, Ashley,
how did it go? My speech weren't really well, Elvis,
they really enjoyed it. Oh cool, cool. I mean you
you were very you were very emotional. Last time we
talked to you, you you were kind of nervous. But now
now it sounds like you have an ego like the
(33:12):
rest of us, and you're you're feeling good about life. Yeah,
I definitely family. Yeah, I feel a lot better. That's
time talking to you guys. So is there like, is
there a singular Is there a passage from your speech
that you you think is uh would be great to
share with the class. Yeah, I'm in my conclusion. I
have a quote. So um. Elvis always says, there's an
(33:33):
ask for every chair. I definitely found my chair that
I always set in and feel like a better person
by doing so. That's my very last line that I
love the most. Oh, there you go, it's true, ask
for every chair. As great as that sounds, it's it's
actually a very deep thought. Well, so did you get
a good grade on it? Actually? How'd you do? I
(33:54):
will note today I'm hoping for a big old fat
aid to end out my semester West straight a's, Oh,
good for you, Oh straight a's. I don't think I've
ever met anyone who's done straight days before that would
be a yeah. I'm planning to graduate with all straight as,
so hopefully it continues. Ah, good for you, Good for you.
You got to be very proud, Ashley. I know that
you put a lot into that speech and especially your emotion.
(34:17):
That was a personal personal thing and I hope that
they they add to your grade because of that. And uh, fabulous.
Can we send Ashley something? Nate? What can we send
Ashley something? What do you have your book? Elvis? You
know on the Elvis an email from him from my
eye dress. So he last time I talked to you
(34:37):
on Tuesday, he was supposed to email me twice in Tuesday,
and I talked to him Wednesday and he never even
emailed me. Diffic getting her her air check. We think
you're fabit us, Ashley, and you just hold on one second, yes, Gandhi,
what were gonna say? Oh no, I was just laughing
(34:58):
at Nate. It's like, no, I forgot Nate. Ashley. Just
a little secret, Ashley. I mean Nate is sort of
famous around here for not emailing people back. So you're
not alone. I was waiting for him to blame the stroke,
one of the strokes. All right, hold on one second, Ashley,
Thank you so much, and there you go. There's an
(35:20):
ass for every chair. And that inspired someone. Uh, let's
take a break. I don't know were you listening yesterday
at this time when an intern Robbie got into a
car that barely worked and drove from Boston to Chicago. Yeah.
I received a text from him on the overnight let's see,
at three or six am. Hello, lady, good morning. We
just got to Chicago. Total travel time twenty three hours.
(35:42):
Not sure how. I'm also not in charity. Sure we're
in Chicago. So he's a mess. That's our intern, Robbie. Well,
maybe we'll check it with him in a little bit
twenty three hours to go from Boston to Chicago. I
have a lot of questions. Yeah, no, they stopped. They
stopped at Niagara Falls and jogged for a while, and
(36:04):
then they stopped on the way. They took their time,
plus they were driving that car boris that barely works.
All right, we gotta take a break. We will be back,
and we have a one thousand dollars free money phone
tap on the way just for you. Hi, this is
Katy Perry. I'm Sean Mendez. Durlvis Duran and the Morning
Show Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. Honey is the
(36:27):
free online shopping tool that saves you money by automatically
finding the best promo codes and instantly applying them to
your card. And now Honey is a part of the
PayPal family. Get Honey for free at join honey dot com.
Slash Duran. This is It is Elvis Durand in the
Morning Show. Hey, did you see what Lance Bass tweeted yesterday? No,
(36:54):
Lance Bass tweeted. He says, heads up, fellow businesses, Well
the way, does Lance Bass own a business like a
like a retail store or something? I don't know anyway.
He says, felt fellow businesses, this is not a thing.
And someone had shown him a face mask exempt card.
He says, this is not a thing. This is what
(37:16):
happened when arts and crafts Karen's have too much time
on their hands. We will throat in the trash and
send them on their way. So I guess people are
people are walking into businesses saying, oh, I don't have
to have my face mask. I have this heads up,
it's this. I think it's the same people who made
the emotional support dog cards. I ordered one I got
(37:40):
from an Amazon. It's like, okay, right here, I can
take my dog anywhere now because because I spent four
ninety nine on the Amazon, it looks like the same card.
I don't know. So, yeah, a face mask exempt card.
So if you're running a business, I would think twice
about letting them get away with that. That's like when
I was in high school and they tried to sell
me a path to the pool on the on the
(38:01):
roof and there was no pool on the roof. There's
no pool. No. Yeah, they had to go around telling
people listen, if they try to sell you a pass
to the pool, we don't have a pool, so don't
buy it. You don't have a pool, don't buy Hey.
Interesting story from Barbara on twenty three scary. She had
a wildlife encounter. Hey Barbara, good morning, Hello, Hi, good morning.
(38:22):
I love love, love love you guys. And you say
that real quickly. Oh thank you? No, no, no no no,
we say that all you want. We love it, we
love the love. So tell everyone what happened to you yesterday? Well, yes, uh, yesterday.
I had a doctor's appointment on zoom. So I stepped
out the office and I'm talking to her vaskype on
(38:43):
via zoom, and I saw something out the side of
my eye and I'm like, it's not a car because
I would have heard it because I am standing in
the street the pocket lot. So I looked up to
see exactly what it is, and I'm like, I froze,
and she's like, what's wrong, Barbara, what's wrong? I said,
it's a freaking bit and she's like, get out of there,
get out of there. So I called myself trying to run,
(39:05):
and she's like, don't run, just don't run. I'm like,
thank goodness she's in my ears because she would have
been screaming the way she was a bear, would have
really paid attention to it? Oh my god, I could,
and no one would have plain to us until lunchtime.
Well well, and and for the bear, it was already
(39:26):
lunch time. So question, Barbara, Barbara, explain, explain the situation.
So you were in a parking lot, so obviously is
there a wooded area? Is a wooded area there is?
It's like pretty little landscapes, but I guess if you
go far enough, it's nothing but wooded area, a little
more landscape. But sometimes you baby bear and that's fine.
(39:49):
But there's a whole another subject. Now, how big was
the bear? It was a baby bear? So I go
and I'm like, exactly exactly what you're about to say,
because the doctor like, what is that? What? What kind
of beer was? I said it was a baby bear.
She said that's the worst kind. Get out of there.
And I'm like, what do you mean? She's like, because
(40:10):
the mom is not fall So I'm like, oh okay.
So I run in the office. I'm like, you guys
as a bear out there. Five of them flew past
me with foams like where where? I'm like, what do
you where you going? When it's a bear, not a
bear and be still hungry, dear good bear bad. So
(40:33):
let me ask you this. If the bear was standing
on its hind legs, would it be taller than you
this baby bear? Yeah, it's a bigger than her. Okay, okay,
it's when you see. Had I spit I would it
would have landed on the bear. That's how far so
(40:54):
the charming guy, Barbara, we just learned. We just learned
that you can't spit far. We're learning way too much
about you. But anyway, so you know what's going on here.
I do not have rains. Here's what's going on. Here's
what's going on. You know, because we have been quarantined
for so long, the wildlife has actually moved. It's given
(41:16):
an opportunity to move closer to our cities. And they're
still here because they're they're finding food. They're like, whoa
this trash can full of food. Hey wait, she looks good.
Look there's Barbara. I'm gonna eat her for lunch. But
work now, I'm like, I could have been walled. I
never heard it come in, I never smelt it nothing.
It's just jat staid of course, the freaking parking lot.
(41:39):
And if the goodness it paid me no mine, and
I could have been and been out here dead for
them to find me. All much? Oh all right, well,
thank you thanks for the warning. You know, I just
don't know about bear they. I've heard people say, whatever
you do if you see a bear, don't run. I'm running.
I don't know. Maybe it's the wrong thing. I'm not
gonna walk lowly, but thank you for your call, Barbara.
(42:02):
Thank you, and keep an eye up for the bears. Yes, Gandhi,
what do you think? Um? Yeah, so the whole don't
run from bears thing. They say that there are different
bears and you have to react differently to them, so
just take off running. That's what I would do. I'm
not playing dead. But yes, yesterday, yeah, on barstool they
actually posted a video of an athlete who was riding
(42:23):
a scooter and there was a mama bear and a
baby bear hiding behind a car, just chilling whatever. He
gets close, sees them, throws the scooter and starts running
in the other direction. It was like caught on a
security camera. I'm gonna find it, send it to our
digital apartment because it's outrageous and that's exactly what you
should do. Have a baby bear. Get out of there
here where I'm doing my thing. We have bears out here,
we have and they no linger they poop in the woods.
(42:45):
They poop on in the front yard. I mean, we've
got them. So there's a wild bear poop in the
woods as yes, that's a yes, yes, yeah, Well I
don't I don't know. But they poop on my front porch.
We got everywhere here, We've got so you know, when
I take little Max said, I always keep an eye
on him because he is he is a little snack
for so many animals out here. Oh, I'm sure. And
(43:06):
that's that's the world we live. And we love our bear.
But we want them to stay over there and we'll
stay over here. We'll just learn not to live with
each other. You mind you a business, I mind my business.
Thank you exactly, Thank you, very good, very good advice
to Danielle. We do have a one thousand dollars free
money phone tap on the way. We've got to check
in with intern Robbie to see how he made it
(43:27):
to Chicago and if he even if he is in Chicago,
he's in some metropolitan city. That's all he knows. Let's
get into the three things you need to know from Gandhi. Gandhi,
what's going on well? With Corona virus cases continuing to
spike in many states across the nation, New York, New Jersey,
and Connecticut will be requiring visitors from those states to
quarantine for fourteen days. The order takes effect today, and
(43:50):
police will be stopping people with out of state license plates.
Violators could be fined. Currently, the death toll has passed
one hundred and twenty three thousand in the United States,
so keep following those distance see guidelines. An ad agency
with some major clients like PayPal and Pepsi is joining
a growing Facebook boycott to protest Facebook's irresponsible propagation of
hate speech, racism, and misleading voter information. According to them,
(44:14):
the advertising agency has announced that it intends to join
the hashtag stop Hate for Profit campaign and we'll pull
all advertising during the month of July. It includes clients
like Pepsi, Derito's, PayPal, and BMW. Last week, a group
of organizations, including the NAACP and the Anti Defamation League
called on advertisers to stop spending on Facebook to show
they won't support a company that puts profit over safety
(44:36):
and Finally, how about this one. We're all talking about
wildlife and encountering it. You might have seen a video
recently that went viral of a swimmer at a beach
in Delaware. Did you guys see what he did? Yes,
he caught a shark with his bare hands. One. You're
not supposed to do that. But it is a big shark,
it's not a little shark. He grabs it by the tail.
He's in about waist deep water. Shark comes by, He
(44:57):
waits for a wave, grabs it by the tail, and
as people are standing there gasping, he pulls it in
and opens up the shark's mouth before letting it swim
back out into the water. If that video inspired you,
don't do it. You're not allowed to catch sharks. Don't
do that, and those are your three things. Don't do that.
Leave the sharks alone. I love this text. Hey, when
it comes to running away from bears, you don't have
to be fast. You just have to be faster than
(45:18):
the person next to you. Okay, perfect, Hey, I want
to teach something up. Then we'll take a break and
do your thousand dollars phone tap coming up next, coming
up in forty five minutes. I'm gonna play the new
Jake Miller song. It's a song about being saved. He
actually got into a relationship recently and he's saying that
this woman in his life saved his life. So I've
(45:41):
been thinking about everything we've been going through these past months.
Is there that person that you actually should acknowledge that
saved you? I think it's actually a great exercise because
we do owe a huge, huge, a huge thank you
to so many people who have been saving people. That's
what that's what they're calling is. Or maybe it's a
(46:02):
personal thing. Maybe it's a doctor, maybe it's a frontline worker.
Maybe it's someone in a relationship who saved you from
going bonkers. Because everything whatever, think about that. Uh, And
when I want you to hashtag it in and I
want you to talk about it, we'll get into that
and the Jake Miller's song and about forty five minutes. Uh,
let's take a break. We'll be back after this Heart
(46:23):
Radio ab and here everything you missed with all Duran
on demand. I don't the most listen to you guy. Yeah,
I know Duran in the morning show. You got any money?

So we have a Danielle phone tap today's Gary We
sure do, is it? Miss mosh collopsus? No, this one's
(47:46):
called free burgers for Friends? Oh, free burgers for friends?
Remember this one, Danielle. Nope, here we go. Let's see
what's goods Elvis Duran, the Elvis Duran phone tap Danielle. Yes,
you've been a bad girl. Yes I have. And it
comes out in the form of a phone tap. Oh, yes,
(48:08):
what do you happen today? So Dana wants to get
her mom. Dana works for a fast food chain, and
her mom takes this job very seriously because a friend
got it for her. She doesn't want to her daughter
to mess it up. So she wants me to call
her mom and tell her mom that she's been giving
free food to her friends. All right, here we go,
Let's see what happens on today's phone tap. Hello Mom, Yeah, um,
(48:31):
I got in trouble at work. What do you mean
you've got in trouble? What happens? I was getting food
to my friends and she caught me on the video camera.
You were whoa you were giving food like free food?
You're kissing. You look each other up. We're friends. Everybody
does it. We've never had a problem with the task.
What are you sure, shd? What's your thinking? I can't
(48:53):
get food to my friends. It's like if everybody does it,
it's not well, you don't have to get a stop
and listen to yourself. We just think that's how they
make their money for adopting high school. Giving away there
any food. They're Cheeseburgers are like thirteen cents to make
or something. Hey, listening to you, I don't care if
(49:15):
it's two cents, it's not your two cents. What do
you think Penny doesn't walk You think he gives away
three cheeses when his buddy Walt walks in? What's the
team cheeseburger? Jo An stot you that job? What am
I gonna say to Jolian? Oh, that's what life. My
daughter went down there and started giving away free food
real night. Can say that my friends are hungry and
(49:36):
they need some food, then child to go damn grocery
store if they're hungry, And let me tell you something
right now, you cursedly one more damn time, hot mom,
hold on, hold on the man, just coming into the room.
I'm not paying a penny. Excuse me, what did you
just say? You can fire me. I don't want this
(49:57):
job anymore. Stop sing your damn mouth by her. Soon
my mom wants to talk to you. This is Margaret. Hi, Margaret.
You know I'm just sitting here listening to everything that's
going on. I am profusely embarrassed by my daughter's behavior.
(50:20):
Do you know how long she's been stealing from us?
The first thing I have on record here was a
small French fry back in June. She gave to one
of her girlfriends a small French fry. That's not true,
that's what that's true. Hi, ignore her and tell me
what we can do, because this is what I want
you to the chief bastards right. Hello, Hello, I'm so sorry.
(50:44):
I don't need to be swearing. I'm I raise my
children to be honest to not taking this is very,
very upsetting to me. You have to understand them. My
husband and I don't believe in this way. We don't
be taken. I understand what I'm really I'm just trying
to explain to you away if she will stop. And
at day she gave away a pancake, breakfast, sausage, bacon,
and scrambled eggs. Oh my gosh, I know I was
(51:07):
really hungry that day. When my husband and I get
a hold to her tonight, you will see a different
person and this will never happen again. Dan, your mom
wants me to give you a second chance. No, no,
I don't want to work here anymore. Put her on
(51:29):
the phone. Okay, hold on day night. Your mom wants
you again. You tell us my mom thinks it's a
good idea if I just go home when we talk
about do you hear me? You better say that right now.
So I don't want to work here anymore. This place
is warterball. It's okay. There's no way you're getting a
second chance now. So you can just leave your hat
and you can do you think you're trying to stay
(51:49):
this whole time? Enough? I want to when you come
home walk my words. You were going to regret it.
I'm walking on I'm not walking in my car my car, Okay, Dan,
enjoy your card for the last time. Smell it's enjoy
it because it's going to be the last time you're
driving it. Get used to it. Do you understand me? Yeah?
(52:13):
I can hear you. You're screaming. You're screaming on my ears.
But you don't think you're just seventeen and you for brands.
That's why. No, she doesn't. She's just phone tapping you.
What are you talking about? This is Danielle Narrow from
Elvis to Rand in the Morning show, and you just
got phone tapping. Yeah, she still has her job. She
didn't give free food to her friends. Oh oh, Danielle, Sorry,
(52:53):
not really. Here's my favorite part about the phone tap.
I would I was actually not listening to that phone tap.
I was upstairs putting a load of towels in the dryer.
And so when I get back, I know if I
say oh, Danielle and you go sorry, I know it
fits because that really is the scenario at the end
of every phone tap, an apology and like a little
disappointment thing. Yeah no, but you did great. I thought
(53:18):
it was a great phone taps. Honestly it was. We
wouldn't be uh, we wouldn't be playing it, So I
just assumed it was great. Hey, Craig is on line three.
He's calling one hundred. He just won one thousand dollars.
Let's hear it for Craig, Craig, you got it man,
A thousand dollars on the wag. Oh my god, Oh
my god, you got it. You got it man. It's
good for you. Oh my gosh, man, I know, it's
(53:41):
pretty cool. It's just nice listen to you and everybody
and scary and oh my gosh, thank you, Craig. Tell
me what's going on? What's going on in your life
these days? Uh? That's in this work in h we've
been working through the hole. Uh n d mum, I
(54:01):
don't know. I'm just trying to afford a car for
my daughter. And who's going to help out so much? Oh? Good, excellent? Well,
I mean even though she's only eight, it maybe too
early for a car, but I think no, I'm kidding.
How how how old is your daughter? I see? Wow?
Oh yeah, it's time for a car, dad. And that's
(54:23):
that's a cool dad thing to do, to be able
to buy her, your daughter a car. You're a good dad, Greg,
you know you're a good dad. Hey, listen, several things.
First of all, thank you for listening to us. Secondly,
thank you for showing up during the pandemic and keeping us.
We don't even know what you do Do you mind
sharing what you do? I can't see your company name,
(54:44):
but I have fertilized. I take care of lawns, you
know my company. Look, that's okay, that's totally cool. I'm
just happy that you were there and you you you
you look. Without you and people like you out there
continuing to work every day during the pandemic, it would
it would have been a really frightening world. But I'm
so glad that you stayed with it. And thanks for listening, Craig.
(55:05):
You tell your daughter we said, uh, hey, happy car
and enjoy your money. Okay, thank you so much. Elvisten.
I love you, guys, love too. And if you run
out of fertilizer, we spread a lot of crap on
our own. We'll come over and excellent. Hold on one second.
It's a pleasure to meet you, Craig. Everyone has a story,
(55:28):
all right, everyone has a story. I love that. What
video did you post at Elvis Drans show? Ms gandhi,
Oh so we were talking about bears and the athlete.
It was Clinton Dix who was scooting along on a
scooter when he encountered a mama bear in her cub
and it's posted to Elvis d Ran Show, and it's hilarious.
You will definitely, I think, crack up because I think
(55:50):
that's how all of us would probably react if it
was a bear there. Yeah, it's really funny because we
were talking about what to do if you see a bear,
a mama bear, a baby bear, whatever, and everyone has
a different opinion. It's like it's like, well, okay, some
people say, don't run, just back out slowly and just
don't pay an attention any attention to the bears, and
other people are saying, bears hate loud noise. Grab pots
(56:12):
and pans and bang them together, which is great because
I always have a set of peas and art pots
and pans with me. Bang bang, freaking bang my favorite one.
And I sweared Gandhi. If you had been able to
text in to give bear suggestions, it would have been
you saying this. So it said, bears love it when
you go over and pet them, pet the bear. That's
(56:35):
something Danielle, That's something Gandhi would say, totally, totally, without
a doubt. I watched a video the other day and
I posted it on my Instagram of a guy who
was running and it looks like he's being chased by
a bear and he's like, oh my god, no, and
then he stops and just gives the bear ice cream,
and the bear sits down and just licks the ice
cream cone and they're having a great time. I'm like, yep,
that's gonna inspire me to get bitten. I know. No,
(56:56):
that's a man in a bear suit. Don't do it.
Run run, Oh god, I got this. Apologies for this essay,
but Elvis, please help my nearest dearest friend of the universe.
His birthday was on the twenty third, which was several
days ago. I messed up my dates. Anyway, shout him out, please.
(57:17):
He's such a huge fan. He loves your show. He's obsessed,
so am I. We've been listening since nineteen ninety eight.
You're truly the best. Please help me get some brownie points.
I want to wish Tommy a happy birthday from Evelina,
and there you have it. I'm a single moment. He's
been my biggest supporter on the weekends. I don't have
the kinds anyway. Happy birthday to Tommy from from Evelina.
(57:39):
She didn't mean to forget your birthday and there I
did it. Hey, shall we get into the Danielle Report.
What do you say, kid, Let's go Danielle. What are
you going on? Well, Keanu Reeves, Neil Patrick Harris. There
they are back on the set of Matrix four. Filming
has actually begun in Berlin. It has been pushed you know,
(58:00):
release date at least till April of twenty twenty two.
But it looks like, slowly but surely, certain movies are
crawling back to getting you know, filming again. So I'll
keep you posting on that. Hugh Jackman's music Man revival.
It has a new premier date for Broadway. It was
supposed to come out in the fall, it will now
be Spring of twenty twenty one. I'm excited. I cannot
(58:20):
wait till he see Hugh Jackman on Broadway when Broadway
starts to open its stores again. To us, I can't wait.
Handmaid's Tale Season four, the trailer is out, even though
we're not going to get it on Hulu until next year.
I know a lot of people love The Handmaid's Tale,
so if you want to check that trailer out, it's out. Also,
Amy Schumer her docuseries Expecting Amy. The trailer is out
(58:40):
there on HBO, so you can take a look at
that if you want. John Stewart was opening up about
the lack of diversity during his time on The Daily Show.
He said he was offended at first when people called
his writer's room a boys club, but now that he
goes back and he takes a look about at it
and he thinks about it, he says, you know what,
you're right it was, and he's finally admitting that that's
(59:02):
what it was back then. Also, Rhese Witherspoon says that
she didn't know what homosexuality was until she came to
Hollywood as a teenager. She said, my grandparents didn't explain it.
My parents didn't explain it, said, I actually had to
learn from somebody I met on an audition in Los Angeles.
So it's really good that nowadays more people are talking
(59:25):
to their kids about all these different things in the
world and a lot of these things. I know in
my house, people just think people are people, and that's
just the way it is. And I love that Brendan
jury panic at the disco. I'm not happy that President
Trump used high hopes at his PEP rally. I don't
know if you noticed on social media, but you basically
wrote a little note to Trump to tell him to
(59:46):
stop using it. If you haven't checked that out, you
may want to go over and do that tonight. On television,
there's not that much on television that I want to watch.
I mean, if there's some things you want to watch,
maybe on Netflix. I'm still watching Sabrina. I'm on season three.
Are you guys watching anything that you're loving right now? Roggy?
So I'm really excited because tonight there's a show on
(01:00:09):
the ID channel called Strange Evidence, and it goes into
all these crazy things that have been caught on camera,
like aliens they say, and things underwater and like mutant creatures. Yeah,
I can't wait. I love that. Hold on Strange what
strange one? Strange Evidence? All right, so maybe maybe our
money's on that. And that is my Danielle report. Oh,
Danielle asked Gandhi, you know, going back to her sister's
(01:00:33):
uh Netflix history or whatever her DVR history? Asked Gandhi,
what her sister is obsessed with? What's your sister obsessed with?
I need to have an intervention because yesterday I found
one hundred and twenty two episodes Dvard of Matlock Matlock
what Matlock. I just showed her. And the craziest thing
(01:00:58):
is when I confronted her about it, because I was
very worried about what's going on with her, she said,
excuse you, those are the one hundred and twenty two
best episodes that she has whittled it down to. I
was like, oh my god, oh my god. Matlock wasn't
even out when you were a kid, I mean before
her time. It's like, what are you doing? Walk? She
(01:01:18):
just she says, she's very happy that it's like this
old campy, super positive thing that all gets wrapped up
in an hour and there's always justice. That's her her
okippy point. So it always ends injustice, all right. So
if you can explain why Matlock has that b D energy,
can you let us know? End like that like all CSI,
(01:01:43):
they all have that happy ending. Texas now fifty five
one hundred. We'll be back after this. Hey, I'm a
brand new listener. I love you guys, Thank you so much.
Norton thirty six. Even Livelock provides and all in one protection.
No one can prevent all cyber crime and identity theft,
but in three sixty with LifeLock is a powerful ally
(01:02:06):
for your cyber safety Save twenty five percent off with
your first year at Norton dot com. Slash Elvis as
shut the hell off. I'll slish your toes if you
don't get out of my way. Elvis Duran in the
(01:02:33):
Morning Show, Elvis durand Nelvis Duran in the Morning Show. So, Gandhi,
how old is your sisters? Thirty seven? And you found
and you found how many episodes of Matt Locke on
her DVR? One hundred and twenty two? And I took
(01:02:55):
a picture in case she ever tried to deny it.
I took a picture. It's there. So she loves Matt lock.
I mean, I'm assuming she must love Murder, she wrote,
let me tell you, threatened that she was gonna start
taping Murder, she wrote, and that she was gonna start
taping in the heat of the night. And I'm like,
there's just too much happening here. That's way too old
for you. I don't know why you're dvring all this
(01:03:15):
kind of stuff or do you even have cable? Well,
the texts are saying Gandhi's sister is awesome. I also
love Matt Locke and other old mystery shows like murder,
she wrote and Perry Mason, speaking of the new Perry Mason,
an HBO is supposed to be spectacular. It just give
you a huge, huge numbers. Yeah there, who's in it?
Uh Reese Witherspoon, No Matt Reese or Matthew Reid, Matthew
(01:03:38):
Matthew name some guy with the peanut buttercups in there anyway? Us.
I mean, it's so funny that your sister who's in
her thirties loves Matt Lock, Scary's ninety seven year old aunt,
Millie loves Mattlocke. It really brings the generations together. Matt Lock.
Now we know, uh, no show has bigger d energy
(01:04:03):
than Law and Order SVU. They love it. Women leadership drama,
Justice still the best show on TV. We're finding more
and more people in their twenties and thirties are loving
shows that came out in the twenties and thirties. The
nineteen twenties and thirties. Andy Matt Luck is the issue.
It's cheap and shuffles along in those orthopedic dress shoes
(01:04:24):
where he is cheap anyway, I love that. Hey, so
this is a major major break. We're gonna do right now,
we have several announcements to make. The first is our
friend Jake Miller has a song called save Me, Save
Me right. I know you've heard this song a thousand
times on which channel you're listening to? Gandhi. Yeah, So
(01:04:46):
I have Bryce Fine Radio on my iHeart app and
this song pops up on it all the time. So
we've known Jake Miller for many, many years. And I
remember when we first met him. He was going through
a terrible breakup. Remember that Danielle, Oh my gosh. I
remember he was so upset and his music reflected where
he was too. Oh yeah, And his music, his music
(01:05:07):
in that album was all about to break up and
trying to find his way and he just needed he
wanted an anchor in life. Whatever. Well, so our Jakie
Jake Miller, met the most perfect woman and they are
in love and they are living a great life. Considering
what the world's going through, it makes it even more special.
He is convinced that she has saved him, and the
(01:05:31):
song Saved Me is about how she saved him the
relationship that they now have, and how she showed up
at just the right time to save his life. And
I just thought it was really special, especially you know,
Gosh with the pandemic going on, and we have Gosh,
you know, we have this new lean in our society
with Black Lives Matter, and you know, it's just, you know,
(01:05:53):
there is a lot of emotional, emotionally charged things going
on in our lives, and in the middle of it
is that one person or maybe several people that have
actually they show up and they save you, you know
what I'm talking about in your life, like Gandhi, who
has saved you during all of all the world's issues
that are going on so literally and figuratively. I think
(01:06:17):
it's my sister and my boyfriend because between the two
of them, they actually came and picked me up from
New York City so that I wouldn't be alone and
all by myself for an unending amount of time that
we weren't sure about. And they've been with me through
that and I've gotten love and hugs, and it's been
wonderful to be with them and know that I have
these people who have my back and are willing to
drive hours and hours to come get me, and it's
(01:06:39):
just made me feel wonderful and I love them, and
they have definitely saved me. Well, you could be like
Jake Milner and write a song about them, or okay,
at the very least call them up. You know what
I'm saying, What about you, Danielle? Who has saved you
there during all of this? It has to be Sheldon
and the kids because they've been in this house the
entire time and they have taken care of me. And
when I've been nervous my anxiety kicks in, they're the
(01:07:01):
one to say, go, hey, Ma, take a chill. Everything's
gonna be fine. We're gonna get through this. We're gonna
get through this together. We have each other. Everything is good.
So you know, without them, I wouldn't even my mom.
You would think that my mom would be worse than me.
She's she sometimes says, Hey, Danielle, get a glass of
wine and calm down. So and by the way, we're
(01:07:24):
gonna continue to go around the room and listen to
the stories here, but think about who saved you because
I'm going to give you a hashtag. I want you
to go online in a second and tell us who
saved you and tell us their story on Instagram. What
about you, straightenate, who saved you? Well, other than my fiancee.
You know, those closest to them. I gotta say, h
(01:07:44):
Scary and Scotty, b I think come in here every day.
You know, we kind of formed a little bond from
the three of us just coming in here and and
the rest of you guys being quarantined at home. And
I really look forward to walking in every day and
looking at Scotty stud and seen him sit in the
air and he says hey, pal, and and then Scary
we'll shout through the glass, go hey, what's up? Nate?
(01:08:06):
And I really really really look forward to that every day.
So help me get through this. I totally see that
because I mean the three of them, Scotty and Scary
and straight Nate, They've been going into the studio, I
mean even during the worst of days in Manhattan, and
I can see how you guys are there for each other.
What about you, Froggy, who saved you? I would say
(01:08:27):
it would be a tie between my wife and you, Elvis.
We have conversations almost every afternoon on the phone. Our
afternoon conversations are one of the things I look forward
to the most. And then my and my wife we've
been here in the house. We've actually gotten closer during
the pandemic. I mean, we have our little afternoon disagreements
and spats, but we are much closer going through this
(01:08:51):
together because we lean on each other. When times are tougher,
you get bad news or whatever. And then once again,
like I said, I love my afternoon phone conversations with you.
Yesterday we talked and when we hung up, I looked
to see how long we were on the phone. We
were on the phone yesterday for forty five minutes, and
we just talk about random things in it. We I
just it really truly does call a friend, and it
(01:09:11):
really makes a huge difference in your life. So you know,
this is all sparked by this song saved me from
Jake Millner? What about you? Scary? Who saved you? Well?
I feel obligated to return the favorite of Nate But
the truth, No, no, no, you don't. I had something
a different answer. I'm sorry. I might have my friend Kevin. No, no, well,
let's get to the answer. Kevin. After a college I
(01:09:33):
was who was in a bad relationship and I didn't
see how toxic it was, and he was one who
opened my eyes to get out of it. Otherwise, who
knows I might might have been in a bad, really
bad situation right now. He saved me, my friend. Okay,
listen to what these stories that you guys have told
you should thank them. I mean some of you have.
But I don't think I saved you. Froggy, I think
I saved your marriage because every time you fight, at
(01:09:54):
least in the afternoon, you call me. I have to
hear the judge Elvis, who who has saved you during
this this? Okay, I'm I want to keep it brief
because we want to move on, but I will tell
you I'm I'm looking at him. Oh, I feel the
(01:10:15):
same way. I understand that without you guys every single morning,
like keeping us going and giving me a sense of normalcy,
I don't know what I would do, and you guys
have absolutely I feel that I'm looking at our zoom
room right now and I'm seeing I'm seeing Scottie and
Froggy and Danielle, and they're scary and Gandhi and Straightnate.
But I also see me right over here. I saved
(01:10:37):
myself too. I opened my eyes to things I should
open my eyes up to my husband, Alex, the rock
of my life, totally saved me and my little Schnauzer,
my little Maximan saved me and during the darkest of night,
sides by myself in the middle of nowhere. So no,
there are people we need to say, hey, thank you
you saved Yeah, oh absolutely, because they are stories and
(01:11:04):
they're they're just being there and listening to us and
us listening to them and kind of getting through it together.
Like the interactions that we have on social media are
amazing with them. Yeah, it's safe to say, you know,
everyone has someone in life they should be thanking. I
mean we should thank everyone on the front lines, people
in hospitals, people, the list goes on and on. We
have been saved. And the whole point of this is
to let them know how much you are grateful and
(01:11:27):
how you appreciate him. So what you can do if
you go to Elvis durand show on Instagram it's the
saved Me challenge and there's a picture of Jakie Miller
and the question is who during this time at home
has saved you? Jake Miller's song Saved Me shouts out
his amazing girlfriend for saving him during this time. Who
(01:11:48):
during quarantine has saved you? Comment below or post using
hashtag saved me challenge. It's all right there on our
Elvis Durand Show Instagram. We would love to read through
these again. We want to see. We want to see
what's in your heart and what's on your mind. Let
me play it. This has saved me. This is Jake Miller. Yeah,
(01:12:18):
I was downing, nose down now a mother wear almost down.
Put me out right before I gave up. Yeah, I
was dropped from the top. It's so hard to win.
When we met, I was slocks, didn't know ours you sez.
(01:12:45):
Last couple of years really sucked, drink a lot, smoked
a lot, a long nights, I didn't sleep a lot,
told my friends, I'm too busy for love. I was
looking though I couldn't find it, though I was losing hope.
In one night you find out from the stars, shine
in a light to the dark, and you picked a
(01:13:06):
bomb broken parts. You don't uh you are. I was down,
nose down now a model way almost down for me
out right before I give up? You say, yeah, I
(01:13:27):
was dark from the top. It's so hard to win.
When we met, I was lost, didn't know hours you
these last couple of months, change your plants, drinking less,
smoking less, better, sleep, better rest. You made me want
(01:13:48):
to be a better man. A thousand nights up bread
that you would find your way. Didn't One night you
fall down from the stars, shine in a light to
the dark, and you pat the ball broken parts you
don't glue. Uh oh you are. I was down, nose
(01:14:10):
down now ah model where almost down? Pull me out
right before I gave up? You say I was dropped
from the top. It's so hard to win. When we met,
I was slosed. Didn't know hours you only you may
(01:14:36):
me smile on my doctor's stays. Only you know how
to take the pain away. Only you only year I
was down, nose down now ah motherel where almost down?
Pull me out right before I gave up? How we met,
(01:15:08):
I was starting Wow, Jake Milder and saved me the
whole reason we're talking about this. Jake Milder will be
on with us tomorrow as we continue with a save
me challenge. Listen to the text coming through. I'm seriously
sitting here crying thinking about how much my wife has
(01:15:29):
saved me. She's helped me through my worst days of
depression and anxiety. She's been my rock. Someone else texts
in my dog saved me in February, my house burned down,
I lost my other pets. Without him, I'd have nothing,
no sanity to hold me down to earth. He's kept
me from hurting myself in dark times. My parents saved
me in the worst days, multiple issues with my marriage
(01:15:52):
and issues at work. They're the most amazing people ever.
The list goes on and on. We want to read
it online. Go to our social go to Elvis dren
show on Instagram and um and uh hashtag save Me
challenge and let us know, let us know who saved you.
And now we move on to something different. It's now
time to announce our Elvis Durand Drag Spectacular Getting a call. Okay,
(01:16:25):
here's this. You know, we see a lot of these
virtual concerts and shows online and of late, in my opinion,
they've been very serious. They've all been very important and
very necessary, but at the same time, they've been i
don't know, very very very sad. Sometimes. We thought we
would like to come up with a virtual party that's fun,
(01:16:47):
in festive and full of color and full of light.
So we decided to come up with Elvis Durand's Drag Spectacular.
YEA a man in a way. All right, So here's
how we're gonna do it. We want you in celebration
of pride, and we want to benefit the Born This
(01:17:08):
Way Foundation. I'll tell you more than that in a second.

Elvis Durand show too. At Elvis Durand on Instagram. How
you can submit your best drag performance now. Judging will

Germinata of course Lady Gaga's mom. But also so I judges.
Titus Burgess will be judging your drag performance. Also, no
one knows drag performance is better than our friend Michelle Vissage.
She's judging. And also Adina Menzel is going to be
(01:18:13):
judging as well. Nice disc come on it is. I
want this to be colorful and fun and festive. And
just because Pride is sort of squelched this year, we
still need Pride festivities and the Elvis Duran Drags pictae

In addition to benefiting Born this Way, we're also supporting
(01:18:56):
two additional organizations called the Ali Foreigny Center and Black
Visions Collective. There are two important organizations that have been
on the front lines doing incredible work on behalf of
the BLM movement. We'll share more information about how their
work is impacted the community as well as we get
further into the Elvis rand Drag Spectacular. So there's the announcement.
We want you to put on a show. We're gonna
(01:19:16):
judge you, and someone's gonna sat away with ten thousand dollars. Yeah,
I'm so excited. Yeah. Any thoughts, Danielle, I love I mean,
I wish I could be there in person. When we
we went to Cherries I think right, and did a
drag show once without Uncle Johnny was there and he
was slinging the drinks and it was one of our
(01:19:38):
my favorite times. We had so much fun. So you did. Yeah?
When did you do that Cherries that day? Terrifying? Yeah,
he did? And great tea both Did I remember you
doing that? Oh my god? We tea for some reason? Yeah,
stop it. Gandhi's thoughts about the Elvis Duran Drag Spectacular. So,
(01:20:02):
drag queens and drag shows in general are probably in
my top five favorite things in the world. And if
you haven't been to one, and I know a lot
of people have never seen one, you have to do
it because it's not what you expect and it's amazing.
All right, Nate, when's the deadline for this? Do we know?
Let me go find the rules. Hang, Oh, that doesn't
sound good when you ask for the deadline and they go, oh,
(01:20:28):
I'm so excited about this. I can't wait to watch.
I am too, I cannot wait to see these submissions
again the Elvis Duran Drag Spectacular in celebration of Pride
and benefiting the Borne This Way Foundation and other very
worthy organizations. The winner takes home ten thousand dollars. Submit
your video now at Elvis durand dot com. So cool
and there you have it again. Follow us on Instagram
(01:20:50):
at Elvis Dran and Elvis Duran Show for more information
and will keep you connected. July thirteenth is the deadline.
So you have time to come up with an act.
You have time to find someone to put a mask
on and record you in the video. You got to
get a dance number ready to go. You got things
to do. Come on, drag queens, let's go. Let's get rolling.
All right, With that said, let's get into the three things, Gandhi,
(01:21:12):
What's going on? Statues in Washington, DC are now being
protected by the National Guard as protesters have been trying
to take down an Andrew Jackson statue and the Emancipation Statue.
Several hundred Guard members have been called in to help
law enforcement, and in Wisconsin, National Guard troops have also
been called in to protect the state capital, but they
said they have specific orders to let protesters protest sadly,
(01:21:34):
a new record has been set for the coronavirus in
the US. There were over thirty six thousand new cases
of COVID nineteen reported yesterday that broke the previous single
day high back in April, and now the number of
young adults testing positive has increased dramatically. The US has
the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world by far,
with over two point three million. Currently, over one hundred
(01:21:55):
and twenty three thousand Americans have died from the virus.
And finally, because of all things Corona virus, Disneyland is
delaying the reopening. The park initially planned to open its
gates on July seventeenth. However, now they say California won't
be issuing theme park reopening guidelines until after July fourth,
and because of that, they won't have enough time to
get employees ready. California has also seen a big spike
(01:22:17):
in COVID nineteen cases. And those are your three things.
Kristen up in Connecticut wants to know, Hey, you're big
drag spectacular. Can drag kings submit as well? Why not? Absolutely,
We'll change the rules right now. I don't know why
(01:22:37):
we didn't think of that, but that's absolutely a gredit
great idea. Kristen, thank you. Let's take a break. We
have John Legend coming up right after this. Wow, I
gotta go in the morning show. Nate here, and if
you're tired of tossing and turning at night, try ze
Quill pure Z's Liquid Melotonin, same taste. It's pears E's gummies,
(01:23:01):
but in liquid form, So give yourself arrest and buy it.
Zequille Pears's Liquid melitonin finding new retailers everywhere, live in
the Mercedes AMG Interview Lounge. You always have a great
time with it. I let's bring her in and talk
to her show. John Legend, welcome to the show. It's
great to see you, sir, Great to see you. How's
(01:23:22):
everybody good? Dale, got Gandhi? Froggy Scary? We're all good?
Oh yeah great. So here we are the Froggy's doing
the show from his guest bedroom in Jacksonville, Florida. I'm
in my basement in New Jersey. If Gandhi is at
her sister's house in Columbus, It's like, this is our
new world, but it seems to be working. Is your
new world working? For you. Are you doing okay? It's fine.
(01:23:45):
I'm in our dining room in LA and uh, I've
filmed a lot of things here. I did the whole
uh live season for The Voice here and done a
lot of interviews in this room. So it's a it's
gotten a lot of work your albums from there. We
shot our Father's Day special here at the house and
(01:24:06):
uh we shot one part of it at the Griffith
Observatory uh in La, but everything else was here. Well,
your album is getting a lot of play in my house.
I have. You know, we should never objectify our favorite artist,
but here I go my favorite John Legend. Uh. Works
of John Legend Number one used to be the Christmas
album and Bigger Love is now taking number one, and
(01:24:31):
Jesus Christ Superstar Wars by number three. When you did
that on live TV. You've done amazing, amazing things. You're
a big You're a big egot guy. I mean it
was I'm glad you like a deal. The ego is
a big deal. I'm grateful for it. I Uh, I'm
in a category with only fourteen other people in the
history of entertainment, so uh, that's pretty cool. I'd use
(01:24:55):
that in my house, John, if if something would if
something went wrong in my house and my family did
something to me, I'd be like, excuse me, something I
haven't egot exactly. Over all of them should be lined
up behind you. So every interview that you do, they see.
Not only do you have them, but they're right there. Well,
(01:25:16):
you know, when I do my performances on the piano,
they're right there. So if you've seen me do the
live performances from home on my Instagram live or whatever
the E got is right there on the show, right
next to the piano. So I do flex sometimes you
don't even have to mention. They're just they're just there
in the background. So when Danielle was the first of
(01:25:38):
us to hear Bigger Love the whole thing and yeah,
she called me. She said, she said, there's a song
in here. I think he's like talking about, like getting
really busy. I think he's talking about I think vagina
or something. Yes. Wait, So when I first heard Ulah, right,
that's what I thought it was about. At first, I
was like, wait it is, let me add a letter
(01:26:04):
E g OT And now you know Bigger Love. You know,
here's what I got out of it, just first listen,
it was just it. I just felt it was positive.
I played it on a sunny day and it just
it's did you ever hear a song and you're like,
oh my god, this song. I'm listening to Matches the
day I'm living and I just I found it very
(01:26:25):
very much full of love and positivity. I'm assuming that
was your foundation to launch it. Tell us in your mind,
what inspired you to make Bigger Love what it is? Well,
you know, I was so happy that it was ready
in time to release for the summer because it felt
like a summer album for me, and we just finished
it a few weeks ago, but when I talked with
(01:26:46):
the label, I wanted to put it out for summer
because I felt like it was the right kind of
energy for summer. I wrote a lot of the songs
over twenty nineteen and early twenty twenty, so it wasn't
during the pandemic when I was writing this song songs.
I was creating these songs from a place of being
happy in my life and my relationship, being inspired by
(01:27:09):
the music that I've grown up listening to and loved.
And when you listen to the album, I think you
hear all of that you know, first of all, bigger love.
Danielle and I were talking with Gandhi about to say it.
Even though you didn't write it in today's world, it
just fit today's world perfectly. Yeah, isn't that? Isn't it incredible? John?
(01:27:31):
When that song came out, that song, I was like,
we needed this song, this song is so good for
right now, and it was perfect. Yeah, it's crazy. You
never know what the world's gonna be like when you
release something unless you write it and release it immediately.
And most of the time there's a lag time for
most artists between when we write something and when we
finished the record so it's ready to come out, and
(01:27:53):
so you never know what the world's going to be
like when that happens. And and some people have delayed
some of their releases because they felt like it wasn't
the right timing, it wasn't appropriate to put it out.
But I just felt like if there was any album
that I could put out right now, during this time
when people are going through the crisis of the pandemic
and all the other things that are happening in the country,
(01:28:14):
I felt like this was the right album. People need
a bit of a musical pick me up, a bit
of a lift, some hope, some inspiration, some love that.
I think this album has lots of that. Yeah, and
to that point, I love I quote from you. I'm
under no illusion that music can save the world or
solve the world's problems. But I've always turned to music
(01:28:35):
to help me through tough times, and I know many
of you have done the same. So it's it's it's
This album is truly a gift to all of us
who need it right now. So there you go. I
love it, well, thank you. I'm glad. I'm glad it's
hitting its mark with a lot of people. We've been
getting such great feedback about it, and I'm just happy
it's out because when you work on it for so
long and you want, you feel like you have this
(01:28:57):
secret that you want to tell everybody. And finally I
could let the secret album let the world know what
we've been working on. So with all this time at
home that you've been able to kind of just spend
time with your family and the loved ones, or do
you feel like you're more creative or do you feel
like it's less of a creative time because less is
happening where you're actually leaving and experiencing things. I am
(01:29:18):
less creative at home. I like to go to the
studio to work. I like to you know, be in
my zone. And also I've been finishing this album, so
it's been a lot of like listening to mixes and
listening to string arrangement parts and all these other things.
So in some ways that's a creative thing, but it's
(01:29:39):
not the same as writing a song. And then I've
been promoting it. I've been performing from the house. I've
been you know, appearing on talk shows, appearing on radio shows,
and doing all that. So I've just been busy with
everything else that goes with releasing the album, plus being
a dad and a husband. I have not written one
(01:29:59):
song since I've been and on a lockdown. You know,
you're actually you're actually lucky in one form of that
your kids on your kids are what four and two
years old? Yeah, yeah, you're lucky you didn't have to
become a teacher during this time at home. School that
seems to like things parents nuttie. Yeah, La Luna has
a few like writing and reading workbooks that she's getting through,
(01:30:21):
but other than that, it's not much of a school
situation here. But if it were, you know, a couple
of years from now, two or three years from now,
you know, I'd probably have to slide into the elementary
teacher role a little bit more. Who's the better teacher
you are Chrissy? Who would be the better teacher? Well,
depends on the subject. I think Chrissy's better with like
(01:30:42):
art and more creative things. She's really good at. She
just loves crafts, and she loves banking with the kids,
They've been like doing special banking projects, and she's been
camping with them in the backyard. She's done so many
fun things for them. But I would be like better
at you know, teaching them man or something. Okay, So, John,
(01:31:03):
you know, UH, with this tremendous shift that's happening in
our world and in our lives right now with uh,
with Black Lives Matter being just one of the most
important learning times in our lives. Uh. Add that to
the fact you say you haven't written a song since
pandemic hit. Where where does your songwriting possibly go? Now?
(01:31:23):
Considering the experience we're all we're all witnessing right now, Well,
I'm going to I'm going to experience it. I'm gonna
live with it for a little while. Then I'll probably
get back in the studio. We're gonna go on vacation
in July just to get away and and uh relax
and not do any work, not doing any promotion, not
doing any anything. Uh, and then uh come back and
(01:31:48):
I'll do the voice and then probably I'll get back
in the studio and do some more writing. And who
knows where my muse will be when I start writing again.
But you know, I'm just gonna really just allow myself
to be inspired, allow life to happen, and then see
what comes from it. And see that's that's the best
(01:32:09):
enter you would want from one of your favorite artists,
because it's just well, I don't know, there's no there's
no secret sauce. I just do it, okay, and it
always comes up so great. You also just have to
summon that creativity. So I haven't been summoning it lately
because I've been working on other things. But when I
sit down and try to summon it, then you know,
I don't know what's going to come to me, but
(01:32:32):
you know, hopefully it'll be good. Well, you're doing a
virtual concert. It's benefiting Free America. The Free America movement,
by the way, it is fantastic, and we have several
friends who work in different organizations that are taking closer
look at the justice system and going whoa hold on.
There's a lot that needs to be that needs to
be studied here and revise. What are your feelings about
(01:32:54):
Free America and tell us how we can all enjoy
your concert. Well, it's a Free America something we started
a few years ago. I remember when Common and I
won the Oscar for Glory, the song we wrote for
the film to Telma. The song was already addressing what
was happening during that time. At that time, Michael Brown
(01:33:15):
had gotten killed in Ferguson, Missouri, and we talked about
that in the song, and the Black Lives Matter of
protesters were out in the streets during that time, and
they were using our song to say, we really need
to change the system. It's not working for too many people.
And one of the things that I brought up when
we won the award was that we were the most
(01:33:37):
incarcerated country in the world, and that's still true, but
we made some progress in that area in not jelling
and not imprisoning as many people as we had in
the past, and that's something we need to continue to
work on it. In Free America, our mission is to
end the era of mass incarceration in America. So we've
been working on that by trying to get laws passed
(01:33:59):
on the state and local level, trying to get more
progressive district attorneys elected, and also just trying to educate
people on what's going on in the system. And so
that's been the thrust of what we've been doing over
the past few years, and it's been successful. We've collaborated
with organizers and activists all over the country. One of
the big victories that we all worked toward was Amendment
(01:34:22):
for in Florida, where people who had been released from
prison and had formerly committed a felony and were barred
from voting for life in Florida. Now they're able to
after their debt has been paid to society, they're able
to vote. And these are the kinds of things we've
been fighting for all around the country and have seen
(01:34:42):
some success. And so that's what gives me hope when
these when these times arise, that we can come together
and fight for things that we all believe should be
changed and actually make the change happen. I love that.
I want you to do a search for uh free America.
Learn more about it. Our friend Jason flam Over at
(01:35:05):
Republic Records has his own organization. I mean, it's everyone's
working hard to make it right and uh yeah, use
your voice, use your voice and help make it right.
Thank thank you for sharing that with us. When's the show?
When can we? Uh So? That's on Thursday, way backs
our show. So it's kind of like a virtual concert,
so I'll be kind of living in a video game world,
(01:35:26):
so it'll be very interesting. I've never done anything like
it before, so we're gonna try it on Thursday. Excellent, John,
Thank you for your time, thank you for your album.
Thank you and giving us the quote on a song
that's actually dedicated to the v We take it. Yeah,
(01:35:48):
thank you, John, have a beautiful day to day and
the best of all, can enjoy your vacation. Thank you
so much. Take care of guys. All right. I don't
want to think about nothing. You're just watching you dancing
feel like the beginning of something and the end and
(01:36:10):
the end. All I want to do is just falling.
I don't want to think about not anything. Everybody got
so much to say every time we PUSHO. Ain't every
day a new reason to stay because we gotta be.
(01:36:36):
We ain't gonna place with all no can tip us.
We gotta be. I don't want to think about not anything.
The word feels like it's crumbling every day another new
(01:36:56):
song thing. But in the end, in the end, can't
nobody do us? And I just want to think about
loving because we gotta be one ever again. We gotta
(01:37:19):
wanta wait. Chick ain't gonna no thing but all stop.
No one can tire us. We gotta be. You gotta
big love won't ever give it all. We gotta wanta wait.
(01:37:48):
Chickle low. We ain't gonna no place, but nothing can
stop and no one can charm us. Oh, we gotta bigger.
We gotta no one in arms, wet the bag. We
(01:38:24):
gotta stimas. We gotta more. From the Mercedes AMG Interview Lounge,
(01:38:46):
Katie Perry in the Zoom Room. Oh my god, Okay,
my dream was before I started this call a zoom
link from all of my neighbors coming together like the
freaking Brady bund Point. Katie, Wake is gaing for you.
Brought to you by Mercedes AMG be prepared for whatever
(01:39:07):
comes your way and the all new GT four door coop.
Because life is a race. Visit your local dealership for
a test. Dribe today, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show,
Help Dolvis Duran and Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
You know it's so different now that we're like sitting
around in headphones listening to each other and looking at
(01:39:28):
each other. And I can hear when you're chewing, and
I can hear when you're going through a bag to
get a snack. So this, hey, Froggy Danielle, can you
calm down with your your safe and fair popcorn for
just a moment? I know when you do birthday cake
stuff is so good. It tastes like a birthday cake.
But yet in popcorn for him. I'm glad they called
(01:39:50):
a birthday cake. It kind of gives it away a
little bit, doesn't it, because it tastes like a birthday cake. No,
you know, every time I go to kings Over in Bedminster,
it's right there at the counter and they know they
know they've got you. So you know, my bag's empty,
so I don't have a bag. I can't join you
in the symphony of of chomp, chomp, chomp, and not not.
(01:40:10):
I'm at that point of the popcord bag where you're
just a little small kernels at the bottom and you'd
have to dump it into your mouth. There's really no
more picking it out with your fingers. I don't know
why I put it on a plate, just so you know,
because I started poor. I'm gonna eat a little bit less. No,
then I eat the whole bag. It's great, Daniel. She
doesn't even know she's on the radio right now. She's
a so tuned into her her Safe and Fair popcorn.
(01:40:34):
This is the birthday cake. Because the chocolate bag the
day it came it was gone. I got it. It
was gone. Wait, oh, Garrett has that in my house?
There was a there was a dark chocolate bag. I
didn't get any of that. So good Garrett. Yes, Garrett,
this is your baby, Safe and Fair, and you have
the dark cholate and it tastes like dark chocolate. It's
(01:40:55):
not just a chocolate e you know whatever. It's real
dark tasting. I will I will give up everything else
for the rest of the day and he eat this
popcorn until it's done. This is my quarantine find. So
at the beginning of quarantine. I was like, I want
to try something new, so I found I found Safe
and Fair. And because I have ciliak, I have to
find something that's gluten free. So uh, normally you guys
would be like, gluten free up, but you've eaten the
(01:41:17):
whole bag, so it's gluten free, it's vegan, and it's
delicious too. So so thank you to Safe and Fair.
You can go to Safe and Fair dot com. My
favorite is a key line. I can drink it with
a nice vodka cocktail as well. So thank you go
to Safe and Fair dot com. And we we were
very proud to have them as our partners. Let's get
into sound with Garrett. Garrett, what do you have today?
(01:41:38):
All right, let's start off with the louve iHeartRadio living
Room concert series presented by State Farm went down last night.
Played some of the hits like I Like Me Better,
sounded like this, I s sounds good right from the
living room the first and then hold on. Remember when
(01:42:04):
he did ours Stay at Home ball. He was excellent.
He was singing on his back porch loud. I don't know,
is he lip syncing because he sounds too good? Just no, no,
he was He also covered one direction, steal my Girl,
and that sounded just as good. Heavy boybody want to
take away? All right, let's move over to Pentatonics. I
(01:42:33):
love them. I mean what they could do with their
their vocals and their mouths alone with no instruments is amazing.
But we've known them to do these mashups where they
take a word in a song and mash up all
the songs with the one word in him. So this
time it's all about home, so you'll recognize all the
songs that have the word home in it right here. Welcome, okay, alright, alright, alright,
(01:43:16):
we're going all day with our house smash up, all right,
And then I'm playing this only because it's just interesting
how a bunch of adults can act like children at times.
So in Congress yesterday, they were arguing in court and
one of the congressmen just didn't want to listen, so
he just started banging his ring on a table, making
a loud sound just like a childhood during an argument.
(01:43:38):
And this is what it sounded like, irritating to me,
bars crowning dishonesty. It's the portrait of Edward Levey that
a recent New York Times article showed hanging on the
wall of his conference room regular order to witness will
the witness will continue on Times US. Okay, all right,
(01:44:04):
all right, you know you wonder why our country is
so messed up? Why could we get people we like
to people like that? So all right now, let's go
to the other side of the spectrum. Challenge on TikTok.
So significant others are walking up to their their partner
and saying, hey, you could have been nicer to me
(01:44:26):
to get their reaction, and this is what it sounds like,
like you could have been nicer than me today, was babe?
I feel like you could have been nicer than me today.
I was nice to you yesterday. It would have been
nicer to mean today. Oh I'm sorry? Was that not?
I thought I was doing things for me that helped you.
(01:44:49):
So I challenge that. I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna
go to Alex, Alex, you could have been nicer to
me today and then send me the audio and that
is your sound for today. Thank you, Garret. You're a
good American. What are the kids having for breakfast? Oh,
we're late, so it's going to be a dunkin Donuts. Breakfast.
So yeah, they're they're very mad that, uh, that John
Legend got in the way. So I had to apologize
(01:45:10):
and explain who John Legend was. And now we're getting
dunkin Donuts. I go for it. We love we love
our duncans. Hey, Froggy, invite Lisa into the room. I
want you to say these words. You could have been
nicer to me this morning. See hey, le Oh my gosh,
here we go. You have your finger on the on
(01:45:32):
the button in case she uses foul language. I don't
think she'll say a bad word. Hey, I just wanted
to tell you something. You could have been nicer to
me yesterday. No, I couldn't know. I was very nice
to you last night. Was our due at night? Should
we listen to it? Oh? Wow, so yesterday? Yeah we
(01:45:55):
forgot wednesdays. You're due at night and you didn't do it? Yeah?
Why didn't we do it right? Why didn't we do it?
Because you don't want to do it enough. I want
to do it more than you want to do it. Oh,
this is so uncomfortable. Okay, thank you, she said, Oh
you do that's nice. That's like looking at it, that's
like saying, oh, that's cute. Yeah, all right, I think
(01:46:18):
what are we doing Daniel here? Do you want to
take your break? He's kind of d Daniel you can
do it real quick. We're gonna do you. Hey, hey,
all right, we just announced the big announcement, of course,
the Elvis Duran the Hello, we're doing a show. Hello,
my god, Foggy, you and your family and your dogs.
You're drive me nuts. Lock the door. I'm going to
(01:46:41):
I'm gonna go to Lows and buy you a lock
and send it to your house. Okay, thank you. Anyway,
Elvis Duran Drag Spectacular. We're looking for drag queens drag kings.
I said drag queens first, because ladies first. Now we
want you to submit your best video of your best performance.
We've got all star judges ready for you. All the
info on our Elvis Duran and Elvis Durand show, on
(01:47:03):
our social media and at Elvis Durand dot com. Ten
thousand dollars to the big winner, Danielle, what do you
have going on? All right? So, Alex Trebek donated five
hundred thousand dollars to help the Hope of the Valley
Rescue Mission build a new homeless shelter in Los Angeles.
It will house seniors. They're gonna break around next year
or maybe the year after. He also gave them one
hundred thousand dollars for their North Hollywood location, so he's
(01:47:26):
doing some good stuff. Netflix is testing a feature that
lets you delete shows from your viewing history, which means Froggy, Scary,
your guilty pleasures will not show up and you're continue
watching Row anymore. And Android users have access to the
feature right now, which means Brodie Melissa his wife doesn't
(01:47:48):
have to see what he's watching. But it will be
reportedly rolled out for iOS on June twenty ninth, so
that's exciting. So we all know that a lot of
people on television have been doing their own hair and
makeup because of coronavirus. Some Savannah Guthrie, who does Today Right,
she's been doing that. People have been picking on her.
(01:48:09):
They've been saying things like with what they pay, you
can't you afford your own hairstylist. I mean, come on,
this unkempt look. It's very distracting. So she took to
social and she said, hello, we're doing our own hair
and makeup during the pandemic, and yes, I know it shows.
So I went and did a little research and I
looked at what she looks like. She looks better than
I do, and I have my hair and makeup paid for.
(01:48:31):
She looks incredible, She's adorable, she looks beautiful. Guys, really,
come on, I know, give her a break. It's so ridiculous.
She looks beautiful. My goodness. Selena Gomez has been highlighting
black voices on her Instagram page, and she is doing
a lot to promote racial justice. She teamed up with
plus one to create a Black Equality Fund, and the
(01:48:54):
purpose is to drive money and awareness to those who
are at the forefront of this movement. And he is
doing a lot. She really is. If you've been visiting
her Instagram page, you see all these people that she
has been letting take over and really teaches about things
that we don't know about. So it's pretty cool. YouTuber
David Dobrick, he says, please stop coming to my house.
(01:49:16):
It is very dangerous. It is very scary. And a
lot of these YouTubers one, they are doing their stuff
from their houses because of coronavirus. They've been doing a
lot from home. But also you've got the high house
you've got the Phase House, You've got all these places
where they live, and people know where they live, and
people are just shown up and like I said, it's
scary for them. And David also wants you to know
(01:49:37):
stick with him. He can't do everything he used to
do because of coronavirus. It's getting harder to film, so
he's gonna get back to it when he gets a chance.
Tonight on television, you've got Holy Moley. That's for us,
scary series, Finality of Broke, Growing Up Hip Hop in
Atlanta and Gandhi. What was the show you were telling
us about on Netflix that you're gonna watch tonight. It's
(01:49:58):
on the ID channel and it's a Strange Evidence. Yes,
Strange on my list. It's on my list, Strange Evidence Channel.
I love that channel. It's so sassy set out. Thank you, Daniel,
it's perfect. Thank you. We'll be back after this. I
just think this whole thing is crap. This in the
(01:50:22):
Morning show. So, if you're an employer, you're probably experienced
hiring challenges from time to time, especially now right now,
you face even more challenges. Just walking through the door
of your office is going to be a challenge. But
it's it's a challenge. It's challenging time from rethinking your
workplace safety to hiring employees for specialized roles. So there's
(01:50:42):
a company called Matson Resources and they can relate. They
needed to hire a season's senior citrics administrator to provide
IT support. That is a very very specialized job and
not easy to fill. So they turned to ZIP recruiters.
Zip recruiters powerful matching technology found the people with the
right skills and experience for the job. In fact, for
it five employers who posted on zip recruiter. They get
a quality candidate in the first day, and that's what
(01:51:05):
happened with match and Resources. They found a guy named Peter.
Peter is now he's now their superstar. They just hired him.
He was laid off during COVID nineteen, needed to find
another IT job quickly to continue paying the mortgage in
the bills, and he posted his resume, posted his resume
on zip recruiter and they identified him as a great
match for the role at Matson Resources. They interviewed him,
(01:51:27):
they hired him in less than three weeks. Pretty cool.
So it's about Zip recruiter. They help Peter find the
right job they helped Matson find the right person and
it's all like happily. We're living happily ever after. If
you go to zip recruiter dot com right now, you
can see how they will make it perfect for you.

at Elvis DURAN and at Elvis Duran Show and also
(01:52:56):
at Elvis duran dot com. There you have it. Let's
get into the three things you need to know from Hello, gandhi,
what's going on with you? Excuse me? I happened a second? Okay, okay,
Well I muted myself. I muted myself because I was
coughing and I didn't want to cough into the microphone,
but I did. Anyway, if you cough in this day
and age, people look at you like you're dripping in
(01:53:18):
the VID. So be careful, exactly. It's so excited, all right.
We have a new record that has been set for
the coronavirus in the United States. Over thirty six thousand
new cases of COVID nineteen were reported yesterday, breaking the
previous single day high set back in April. And now
the number of young adults who are testing positive has
also increased dramatically. The US has the highest number of
(01:53:40):
coronavirus cases in the world, with over two point three
million people now testing positive. Currently, over one twenty three
thousand Americans have died from the virus. A usc Grad
is now suing the LAPD, claiming that cops tortured her
after an arrest for breaking curfew during the protest. She
said hundreds of police and National guardsmen actually jumped on
(01:54:00):
and taste people, not allowing them to leave when curfew started.
She also says when she was detained, her hands were
zip tied so tight it left scars, She was touched
in private places against her will, she was loaded onto
a bus, thrown into a cage, and that this bus
allegedly housed protesters for over five hours, not letting people
get up to eat, drink, or use the bathroom. And finally, yeah,
(01:54:22):
in Delaware, a man was recently caught doing something that
has gone viral and we just have to warn you
not to try this at home. He decided to get
into the ocean and saw a sharks went by, at
which point he grabbed it. He grabbed a shark with
his bare hands by the tail, opened its mouth so
everybody could see what was going on, and then ultimately
let it go back into the water. But authorities around
the area are saying this is absolutely illegal. Do not
(01:54:45):
try to do it, because not only could you get hurt,
but you could end up with a fine or maybe
something more. And those are your three things. Well, why
play with live sharks when you can break into the
zoo and play with the jaguars and the exactly, I'm
afraid of my schnauzer. That's as dangerous as I get.
All right, thank you Gandhi your phone tap from Danielle
(01:55:05):
