Civil War expert Brad Quinlin will be in Toledo Tuesday evening at 6 for presentation and to sell three excellent books on Civil War and Medal of Honor history. His talk with begin at 6p at The Venues on St. Clair south of the post office. No admission charge, and sales of the books will go to help fund the Memorial Pathway in Point Place.

Fred spoke with Ben Frobose of Frobose Meat Locker in Pemberville about his #DailyBurgerChallenge to promote food bank donations, small business awareness, and beef consumption. Frobose is inviting people to post pics and videos of them enjoying beef products like hamburgers and steaks and for each post to donate $10 to a local food pantry or $10 of ground beef to a local kitchen.

Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer promised to shut down the Enbridge pipeline #5 which runs under the Straits of Mackinaw as part of her election campaign. Shutting down that line, which has never had a leak into the Straits in over 70 years, threatens jobs at the Toledo refinery and the economy of Toledo and Northwest Ohio. Fred spoke with representatives from the refinery about the impact and possible solutions.
