Speaker 1 (00:10):
Hey, everybody, Welcome to the Larger ner Droun Collider, the
podcast that's all about the geeky things happening in the
world around us and how very excited we are about them.
I'm Aeriel casting and with me is always the amazing
Jonathan Stricklet.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I feel like we've done this before.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Listen. Sometimes the technical difficulties are unavoidable, and sometimes it's
your dumb self not being observant. And by dumb self,
I mean me, not you, Jonathan.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I listen, I've done it more than enough times on
my own, So I no, I am casting no stones here. Yeah.
The only thing y'all missed really was I had a
killer pun about I almost became a cult leader, but
it was a cure miss It's only a killer pun
if you watch Severance.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah, but it did lead to a vaguely fun conversation
about like things that people think are called the Severance
thing is definitely a cult happening. But I had some
friends talking about games that people considered cult, like Pathfinder
was one. We talked about magic the Gathering, which I

(01:16):
never got addicted to, and then like EverQuest was it
EverQuest or ever Hate where they would say said that
if your spouse played.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
It, you were or what I don't be EverQuest because
they also called it ever crack.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Oh yeah, because I never played that.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Well, I have never played any any of the MMOs, like,
I've never been in and I've never played. I actually
did purchase one about two weeks ago, but I haven't
played it yet, which is just Elder Scrolls Online.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Oh, Elder Scrolls Online is so much fun and it's
got some great voice actors in it.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I look forward to it, I just haven't. I haven't
installed it. I purchased it because it was on It
was one of those themes they where it was like
super cheap, and I was like, all right, I'll go ahead,
And I've always wanted to play. I think I played
in one of the free preview weekends. I played like
a little bit, but that was early, early, early on
in the game, when it hadn't really realized its potential.

(02:17):
So I definitely feel like I need to revisit it.
I also, I am not sure that my computer will
be able to run it because, as if you might recall,
my gaming rig, the one that I was dependent upon
for the longest time, has gotten to the point now
where it's too unstable, like something has happened, where if
the power cable is even gently jiggled, the whole computer

(02:40):
just goes dead. And it's a laptop, it should go
to battery power, and it says it has battery power,
but it just will will power off completely. And it
makes me think that there the connection between the battery
and the actual laptop has somehow been interrupted. But it's
also one of those laptops where you can't you can't

(03:01):
detach and reattach the battery. It's all incorporated into the
chassis itself, and I haven't taken it apart to check.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Could you take it to geek Squad? They can probably fix.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
It for you. Yeah, but then I have to go
talk to people at geek Squad.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I know, but hey, it might be cheaper and less
frustrating than getting a whole new computer right now.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
That's true. The nice thing is I do have other
devices that I can use, Like I've got my work computer,
and then I had another personal computer that was I
literally was just not using. The only thing is it's
not it's not a gaming rig. So I gotch it.
I don't know if it could run Elder Scull So
it's a recent computer. I just haven't tried to run

(03:41):
anything like Hefty on it.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So my work computer, my work laptop is about three
three and a half years old. Now, it's not a
gaming computer, and I did have to delete a whole
bunch of stuff on it to fit Elder Scrolls Online
onto it. But I was able to play the game
no problem once it was downloaded on this computer. So

(04:03):
I hope you don't have problems. I hope that there
are plenty of people who are revitalized into playing it
again now that it's on sale, because it is a
very fun game in and of itself, but it's also
kind of fun to see everybody else running around.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah. Like I said, I guess there was one other
MMO I briefly played, but again, it was back when
the game was new and a lot of folks felt
like it was mostly potential but not a whole lot
of substance, and that was Fallout seventy six.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I need to get back into that because I know
that that has definitely improved since I played it, and
I think I have that on the Xbox.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I've played so many MMOs City of Heroes. Wow, I
guess Diablo's not an MMO. Elder Scrolls Online League of
Legend isn't really an MMO, but like kind of is.
It's just not an RPG. Yeah, I've played a bunch.
My parents are to blame for many of them, which

(05:06):
is why I have Wow Ascension currently on my computer.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah. I I never got into them, but like I
wanted to because I got to see Ultima Online when
it was still in development. It was before i'd actually
even got into beta. It was an early build because
Richard gary At aka Lord British used to come to
Dragon Con all the time and he would bring the
latest build of whatever he was working on with him

(05:33):
and show it off at the convention, so we would
often get an early look just anyone who was there.
Not I wasn't. I was special special. I was just
in the room, and I really thought Ultimate Online looked amazing.
But by the time it came out, I was not
in a position where I could play a game that
would have a monthly subscription attached to it. It was

(05:54):
just not I wasn't making money, so there was no
way for me to do that. And then by the
time I was starting to make money, well, one Ultima
Online was already kind of in decline because EverQuest was
eating its lunch or drinking its milkshake if you prefer.
But for another Ultimate Online in particular was having real
problems with griefing, where you know, newbie player characters would

(06:18):
be absolutely rolled by people who were more veterans of
the servers so or shards as they called it back
in Ultimate Online. So I never really got into it
because I was disincentivized first by the revenue model and
then by you know, the kind of clickish and gatekeeping

(06:39):
behavior of veterans. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, but right now I'm not playing an MMO. I'm
just playing an RPG, And I'm not going to judge
you for not getting into things back in the day
because like I'm years late, as we said last week
to Boulderskape.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah, but that's that. At least that's a nice single
player experience where you could play it on your terms,
on your timeline.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
It's christ I'm mad because apparently Gail was like, my
friend was talking to me about it last night because
they've already played and now I'm playing, and so they're like, well,
tell me how's it going, and I'll I'll relay stuff
to them and talk to them about it and get
h tips, and they're like, well, I'm like all my
friends are about talking about how sexually charged of a

(07:25):
game it is. And I was like, nobody's hit on
me yet, not even Gail, and I feel a little slighted.
I don't want Gail to hit on me my character,
but I feel slighted.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yeah. Uh, they definitely nerve that because when when the
game first came out, it was criminally easy. It was
actually I think it was a bug that the romance
options were on like a super Highway fast track where
you could be like, Hi, how are you very well?
Thank you, hey, thanks for taking out that monster. Let's

(07:58):
have whoopie. That's and they ended up they ended up
taking some of that out, okay, and made it harder
to build those relationships.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Okay, that's good to note, because like I'm also you know,
I'm not I'm not playing the game for relationships. If
one happens, it's fine. Right now, I'm still an act one.
None of the characters seem that likable to begin with,
so it could be my character choices as well, but
I'm not playing a bard.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
So yeah, the problem is that that. I think the
one that, uh well, the one I liked a lot,
is one that you might not end up using very
much in your party because she's also a barbarian.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
So yeah, Carlac, Yeah, I think I will like her
as a as a as like a traveling companion occasionally,
especially for like heart, like get another heavy hitter. I
might like her better than Lozelle because I don't like
thoseille at all.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah, I never used her ever. Like I I recognized
that she was a good warrior, but I never had
her in my party, partly because I didn't like the character,
but also, you know, I wanted I wanted to feel
like my character had real impact in fights, which is
why I ultimately abandoned the barred character, because, like I said,

(09:14):
I was hitting a wall where I just could not
advance because my Bard wasn't strong enough and the support
characters weren't compensating enough, and so I ended up creating
a warrior bass a ranger, but a warrior based character
in order to actually play the game more effectively. Maybe sometime,

(09:36):
if I go back and try and play it again,
I'll try a Bard again and I'll actually have her
in the rotation. It's just my favorite rotation was Gail.
I liked having Gail, Asterion and shadow Heart on my catch.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Yeah. I like shadow Heart because she heals, although I
I might change that out if I get another healer.
Asterian's surprisingly good. Like I took him. I took him.
I got him right away in the game, just because
of the direction I went. So I took him into
the Chapel ruins and he was poop there. But once
he leveled up, Uh, he's He's been really good in

(10:17):
fights because the one two punch of a sneak attack
plus a vampire bye gets people down pretty far. Yea,
my barbarian doesn't feel that effective, but I keep rolling
very poorly on like my reckless attacks.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
So that's get those karmic dice going and maybe things
will make a change.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I forgot to do that. I forgot to do that anyhow, Yeah,
I have to go back because I've learned that like
some some little side interactions that I passed up on
could do some cool things. So I have to go
back and do them before I leave my car.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Every time I think I've seen everything there is about
Balder's Gate, some new video comes out where I'm like, wait,
that's in the game too.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I love that. I love that you can play the
game and have a very different experience each time, depending
on your choices and your roles. I just happened to
like run across somebody where it was it was more
of an interaction. I had an option to do something
or not, and I opted not to, And then I
was like, oh, but if I do this, this happens,

(11:23):
I've got to go back and see if they're still there.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Yeah. Well that's what we've been playing, not really what
I've been playing. I've been playing Boulder's Gate. I've been
playing Fields of Mystery because of out. A new update
came out this month and so but I'm already pretty
much through all the update stuffs, which means I'll just
be putting it on the back partner again until the
next updates sometime in the future. But let's talk about

(11:49):
some of the stuff we have watched since our last recording.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Sure, I apparently have watched very little. I'm caught up
on White Lotus. They did hit the ick thing that
I said I was going to nope out on. They
do so much ick in that show. But there's a
couple of.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
I have never seen White Lotus, so I have no
idea what you're referencing.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
They just do some stuff. First of all, I know
you talked about how there's a lot of nudity and
righteous gemstones similar into White Lotus. It's about people losing
their inhibitions and acting poorly on vacation, where they might
act poorly in real life too, But you know, things

(12:35):
come to a head at these resorts, and some of
their choices of the things they show just really they
put me off. But also some of the storylines are
really good, so I'm a little bit hate watching it.
There's a couple of characters I really care about their storyline.
I don't know if I'm gonna stick with it. Severan's
still watching. I haven't watched the final episode of this season,

(12:58):
but Jonathan did, and he's promised me no spoilers.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
All I'll say is that I very much liked the
final episode and that I think Adam Scott deserves an
Emmy nomination for his performance in it, and that is
all I will say.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
I do know I read this is not a spoiler.
I read that they are bringing on some new people
to the writer room for season three, so excited for
a season three. Every time I'm like, there's certainly not
more they could do, they prove that there is, So
I'm very excited for a season three. I think one
of the writers worked on Succession, so that'll be interesting.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
You'll really wonder where season three is gonna go by
the end of the episode. But yeah, season I saw
that season three was officially greenlit today essentially.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, and Ben Stoller said that they were working on
it pretty much when season two came out. I've been
watching rewatching BSG. Starbuck is very nasal, and I consider
myself a nasal person, so for me to notice that
it's a lot I'd never noticed that.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
The first watch through, Yeah, I never got into it.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
So yeah, and then just watching drop out content, and uh,
I'm watching through Abbot Elementary so I can watch the
always sunny Abbitt Elementary crossover. But in like complete honesty,
I actually enjoyed the show. It is a little cheesy.
It's maybe a little cheesier than The Office, the US Office,

(14:25):
which I also enjoyed, but it's got a similar format,
but it's it's also very true to the education system
many times, so it feels good.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
So I'm watching that cool. I've been watching tons of stuff.
I got through season three of Invincible and almost nope,
doubt of that. Some incredibly brutal stuff happens, which is
no big surprise if you follow I mean, the first
episode of Invincible ends with some of the most gratuitous

(14:58):
brutality ever shown in animation. Season three continues that trend,
and it's being true to the comics for the most part.
Like I've been checking it. I haven't read the comics,
but I've been checking it against like articles and stuff
like oh okay, So it's not like they took a
different route. They're essentially following the comic book storyline. So

(15:20):
if you have read the comics, you know what is coming.
But yeah, I watched that. I kind of like it.
I don't know if I'm going to stick with it, because,
like I said, it does it was getting so brutal
that it was no longer entertaining to me. I'm still
watching Mythic Quest. I'm in season three of that, which

(15:44):
is interesting. It's entertaining, but it's also weird because characters
have gone their separate ways in order to tell new stories,
except they keep coming back to the mythic quest office,
and it's kind of irritating because you have like characters
who literally don't work there anymore, but they keep coming back,

(16:06):
and you're like, but what, why would you be allowed inside?
I don't get it anyway. Maybe it's because I've worked
for Corporate America, and in my world, if you get
if you if you quit, or you're fired, you're not
allowed back in the building.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
So sometimes that's the case for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
I watched the penultimate episode of season three of Reacher.
Man Meat Mountain massacre has yet to happen, so we've
got one episode left, so I guess that's when it's
gonna all come to a head.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
That feels like a bait and switch for it to
not have happened yet.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I thought for sure. I thought that was going to
be like the secondary boss, and so we would get
that at least by the second to last episode, and
then the last episode would be the boss battle. But
apparently it's all going to be in that one last episode. Yeah,
that's one of those shows that I watch and I

(17:03):
asked myself after every episode, why am I watching this,
and yet I still watch the next one? I am
still watching Harley Quinn. I'm still several seasons behind on that,
but I'm enjoying it. And as Ariel mentioned, I watched Severance,
really liked it. And I watched the first episode of
The Residents. That's that detective story set in the White

(17:25):
House with the quirky detective and Ken Marino as like
an advisor to the President of the United States. And
I like the characters and I like the performances, and
I think it is biting off more than it can chew.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Gotcha, gotcha, along the lines of biting off more than
it can chew. I did try to watch The Electric
State this week, and it just didn't happen. Oh.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
I tried watching Craven. I actually tried to watch Oh.
I thought about I got about fifteen minutes in and said, no,
I only have a loaded number of hours on this planet.
I can't spend it watching this. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
I once Severance is done, I'm going to dive into
either Mythic Quest or The Studio or Bondsman or all three.
I haven't finished Chaos yet, and I should.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
But I just because that's only like eight episodes, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
But it it's hard. It can be hard to watch.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I hear you. Yeah, no, that's actually I know. I
can't criticize that at all. Like I was going back
and forth between Invincible Harley Quinn and Mythic Quest, and
those are all like none of those are super hard
hitting dramas or anything like that, but I would watch

(18:50):
for about ten minutes and go like, hmm, I'm not
feeling this, and I would switch to the other one.
I did get all the way through all of them,
but I was like, man, maybe my attention spanned just
riddled with holes like Swiss cheese right now, I don't.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
It's also kind of like a burnout thing. I think,
like whatever you've got brain power for if you're tired
or stressed on the day. Yeah, we've been. I think
the reason I haven't watched a lot is because Tony
and I have both had some very late nights lately,
and so we only get a little bit of watch time,
and by then we're both exhausted, so we end up

(19:25):
doing something like after Midnight, which is a lot easier
to watch.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, to consume, Well, that's what we've been watching so far.
So lots and lots of stuff there. Like if you
were looking for recommendations, I do recommend Severance very much.
I think Severance is very much worth watching. I think
Invincible is a hard watch, at least for people like me,

(19:53):
but is worth watching. Reacher, I don't think is really
worth watching, but it's like junk food. I can't stop.
So those are that's kind of my takeaway. And Residents,
I've only seen the first episode. It's a little too
early for me to there's like eight episodes. It's a
little too early for me to say whether or not
it's worth watching. But I can already sense that it

(20:14):
is probably longer than it needs to be.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, okay, cool, what what.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Now thirty seconds or less?

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Great? I start snow White. Reactions are a little bit
better than people anticipated based on the trailers. Apparently the
music is pretty slapping and Rachel Zegeler does a good job.
The only review I read on gal Gado was that
she had pretty gowns, and I'm like, well, that's not

(20:45):
that's not on her. That's not on her, literally like
good costume design, but that's not a that's not a
story thing necessarily, but that the CGI dwarfs are still upsetting,
which we all knew, but this is from fan reactions
and influencers. It's not from critical reviews. Those have yet

(21:06):
to really drop it.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Well. Back in nineteen eighty one, horror author Stephen King
published a book about the Saint Bernard driven mad with
Rabi's It was called Kujo is Adept into a movie
in nineteen eighty three, and now more than forty years later,
director Darren Aronofsky is in talks to direct a new adaptation,
this time for Netflix. Producer Roy Lee, who has produced
other King works for film, is attached. There's no writer yet,

(21:34):
and all I can say is down, boy down.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Never watched, never will. Colin Farrell is in talks to
play Sergeant Rock. This is after Daniel Craig and I
feel like one other actor both declined totally fine. That's
that's the news of the like, that's the headline of
the article. But the really cool part is that Daniel
Craig is in talks to be in Gretig Growings and
Narnia project. So it's kind of like a one two

(22:00):
punch in thirty seconds or less.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Well, even the Killer Jigsaw couldn't devise a trap puzzle
as debious as the one that is apparently scuttled Saw eleven,
which was originally supposed to come out last year. Apparently,
squabbles between various producers have hindered the film so much that,
according to Bloody Disgusting, it's resulted in the total loss
of the project. Maybe one day we'll get a scary

(22:24):
documentary about it.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
I kind of like the more indie scary stuff we've
been getting lately, so I'm not too broken out about that.
I know people who will do Cody Kyote Kool. Coyote
Versus Acme was shelved. Everybody was super upset because it
was one of those ones that was shelved to never
be seen again. But it might be seen again. It

(22:48):
looks like Warner Brothers is in talks with Ketchup Entertainment
to sell it off. Ketchup Entertainment is the same people
who just released The Day the Earth Blew Up Alo
Tunes movie, which we've had some friends see and they
didn't care for it. But Coyote Versus Acme is the
one with John Cena. People were super upset about about it,

(23:10):
and maybe if this has a chance at new life,
maybe the Supergirl movie will too.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Universals hold on Robert Lovelum's Jason Bourne franchise is over.
Their rights have expired, and now Lovelum's estate is shopping
the franchise around to see if anyone is interested, including
Universal again. So could we see a bidding war breakout.
There's no guarantee that future Born movies would feature Matt Damon,
or whether there would be a total series reboot aka

(23:39):
Punch Punch Kick.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Disney Plus is trying to mighty morph The Power Rangers
into a reboot as well. Speaking of reboots, we don't
know if they're going to be doing like a complete
style reboot like the Power Rangers movie that came out
with Brian Cranston and Elizabeth Banks, which I liked, even
though not.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
A whole bunch of people did.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
I thought it was a lot of fun, or if
they're going to stick to the old, the old kind
of uh don't remember the name of the original thing
Super Sentai aesthetic of like cheesy costumes and explosives. It
Power Rangers had been like chugging along just fine, regardless

(24:23):
of people, unlike Star Trek, regardless of people aging out
of it. On Netflix, they had like an RPM one
where it was really it would be really high quality
storytelling and then go into really like Super Sentai storytelling,
and it was a weird just juxtaposition, but also kind
of cool. But Disney Plus recently did Percy Jackson and

(24:45):
it's the same crew, so it might be really good.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Miguel's great grandmother Coco might be dead, but Pixar's desire
to tell more stories in the world of the film
Coco are very much alive. Of spoiler, I guess anyway,
I've never seen it. Well, I mean, it's fine, you
need to. It's a good movie anyway. In a shareholder call,
Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that Pixar is developing a

(25:09):
sequel to the beloved movie Coco. We have very few
other details about the project other than Disney helps We're
at to hit theaters in twenty twenty nine.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
So here's the thing. I watched Big Hero six shortly
after my father passed away. That was rough. Coco came
out around the time my grandma passed away, so I said.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
No, it's I mean, I understand why, but it's a
very sweet movie, Like.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
I get it. People say that about Up Too as
Up as well. I don't think there's two.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
No, there's not an up to up to upper it's
about it's about stimulants.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
It could be the dog be friends a woodchuck and
it could be called up chuck.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah, it could be. Yeah. So we got a couple
of trailers and stuff for things that don't really fit
our lineup. We started doing this in the last episode,
so we figured we do it again. Just go through
them pretty quickly. One of them is a horror movie,
but it's more in like a serial killer animal attack
movie combo. It's called Dangerous Animals. The basic premise appears

(26:19):
to be dude ones a boat, Dude kidnaps women, Dude
takes women out on the ocean, Dude feeds women to sharks.
Didn't quite feel like it was genrey enough to include
in our storyline, but I did want to call out that, yes,
I did see that trailer.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Not at all fitting in our storyline, unless you can
consider nostalgia something that fits. The Connors just got a
trailer for their very final season. I've really been enjoying
the show. I was never a huge fan of Roseanne,
but it's got so much heart and it feels so good,
and it's really about families working through problems and finding joy.

(26:58):
And I really appreciate that, So yeah, final season starting
later this month.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
We also got a teaser for Happy Gilmore Too, which
I told Ariel doesn't belong in our lineup, so we
moved it down to here. But then I also have
never seen Happy Gilmore one, so I am not the
person to talk about this.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
It's my I've not watched many Adam Sandler movies. I'd
say the Wedding Singer is my first favorite, followed by
Happy Gilmore. It's it's fun, it's cute, it's a little
bit Adam sandlery, but it looks it just looks like
he's had a good life and is going back to
the things that he loves. And Happy Gilmore too, because
maybe ignoring those things makes you a little less happy.

(27:38):
For the most part, it looks cute. There's one or
two gags I could have done without, but that's always
the case with Adam Sandler movies. I made Jonathan move
something to the section two, and that's a trailer for
Shadow Force.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Yeah, Shadow Force, which is it kind of gives me
mister and Missus Smith vibes that kind of thing where
you get like family, that is, at least the husband
and wife are are secretly former special agents, and then
the system is coming after them, probably because they know
too much, like you know, in their in their work

(28:10):
as special agents, they were privy to things that a
person is now trying to cover up, and so they're
coming after them. It looks like a good one of those.
But it is another one of.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Those, and I know that we've talked about those in
our lineup before. We kind of put stuff like that
in when we are like low on actual geeky properties.
But yeah, it looks really good, Carrie Carry. It looks
like it's got a lot of heart and some humor
in there. And always when you can watch a near

(28:45):
fifty year old woman be badass and juggle many hats,
it's always delightful.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yeah, So we figure like in the future, when we
come across stuff that's kind of more mainstream action, it'll
probably fall into this category. So now let's talk about
things that really are in the genre space. Starting off
with a trailer that I told Ariel she could skip.
Did you skip it?

Speaker 1 (29:10):
I watched like the first ten seconds.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yeah, there's a lot of bodies til.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
You get to the nose job. And then I said
that's I get the premise.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Yeah, So it's the Ugly Stepsister is the film, And
as the name implies, this is kind of a sort
of inspired by the Cinderella story, following a young woman
who looks like she goes into like a boarding school
and she is ostracized and her family disapproves of her

(29:41):
looks and things. It's very like superficial and looks oriented
but set in the time where let's say, like cosmetic
surgery is at a really primitive and incredibly gruesome level.
And the whole trailer has a lot of body elements
in it, and it looks amazing. It looks really disturbing.

(30:06):
If body horror is not your thing, I do not
recommend you watch this trailer.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah, I mean it does hold true to the original
grim fairy tale, right because the stepsisters cut off their
heels and toes.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yeah, and there's a scene where she's about to take
a meat cleaver to her own foot.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Nope.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Ah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
It's a lot easier sometimes to read, sometimes it's not.
Sometimes it's easier to read these things, and sometimes it's
easier to watch these things. I think I read the
Grim fairy Tale of Cinderella at a time where it
didn't affect me as much.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Well, yeah, and I think it also depends upon the
style of prose and the style of filmmaking. And this
style of filmmaking is graphic and it's like that knows
Job section that was rough. I mean when I saw that,
I was like, oh am I going to be able
to watch this trailer, and I did, and then I
put it in our lineup.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Yeah. Sometimes I watch a trailer and then I'm like,
I wish can I go back in time?

Speaker 2 (31:04):
And not? Yeah, Meanwhile, there's a the next trailer I
put in as far another like horror movie because as
as you know, Ariel's prediction goes like, we're twenty twenty
five is just the year of horror movies. We got
a ghost movie from Shutter, So this is a Shutter original. Shutter,
if you're not familiar, is like its own paid horror

(31:27):
movie streaming service. It's called eight twenty five Forest Road.
It is a ghost movie. And I thought the trailer
was kind of uninspired and not particularly effective for me personally.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
I mean, it felt like the kind of ghost story
you'd read in one of those scary story books, like
scary stories books, Yeah, in elementary or middle school. Like, yeah,
very very basic. Somebody died in this house, it is
still haunting it, and hey, she might be real.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yeah, and well no, not just haunting that house, but
apparently other houses in the neighborhood, because there's like a
neighborhood support group for Like, Hi, my name is John,
I've been haunted for three years. Hi, John, Like it
doesn't it You don't do that. That would be silly,
But there is like a thing that would be a
crazy it would be great. Yeah, like Haunted Anonymous.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
H Oh, you should write that movie.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Well, if I wrote it would be more, much more.
It would be a comedy. This is not a comedy.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
I stand by it, right, Haunted Anonymous tmtmtmtmtmt.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Okay, okay, okay, but yeah, this one like it. You know,
it's the whole thing is they're talking about. They have
to find this one house where the address is eight
twenty five Forest Road, and apparently they can't. No one
knows where that is. But for some reason that house
is important. It seems to be one of those things
like you help the ghost finish whatever it's supposed to

(32:58):
do and then it can move on. That's the kind
of I've I'm getting But it just basically think like
in a world that has Google Maps, how can you
not find an actual house that has an address associated
with it?

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Okay, I have had this experience over the holidays. I
ordered some a hair tinsel kit for one of my nieces,
and I in Google I accidentally transposed to the numbers.
To be completely honest, I just pulled up the address
book and I had had things delivered to that address before,

(33:33):
which was my mother in law's house, with no problem,
and this time it went to it got delivered, but
the address was not an address that existed. It got
delivered in the neighborhood to the address I put in,
which does not exist.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Well that's sure. If it doesn't exist, that's one thing.
But if it's a house that has a number on it,
like it's an actual address, that should be you should
be able to track that down.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
I mean you would think. So Amazon told me that
it was delivered to this address, so I assumed there
was a house with that number on it.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Yeah. Well maybe it was just a driver saying, oh,
you know what, the spot in the road is just
as good as any other.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
I mean, we found it. It was not at the
house with the number, but I'm just saying I've had
an experience that feels similar to that, because you're like
it said, it was delivered to this specific address, but
this I cannot find it. Whoa.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Oh are you saying whoa? Because my screen went dark?

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Yeah you are now you went to night time.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
It's because I switched to Okay, so for people, we don't.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Do video great audio content.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
I don't have a ring light or anything on me,
but I do have a secondary monitor, and when it's
on our lineup, our lineup's in a spreadsheet and it's
a normal spreadsheet mode, so it's a lot of white
light that's reflected onto me. But I just switched a
her to look something up, which made me go to Google,

(35:04):
which I have in dark mode, So all the light
went away because I needed to pull up the plot
of Cryptic. Oh yeah, because that's our next story is
we got a trailer for Cryptic and I couldn't remember
what it was about.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
It's okay, I'll tell you. And yeah, we don't share audio.
We could record this and then I could edit it
and then we could put it on YouTube, or we
could just stream it live. But that requires me to
like put on makeup. It doesn't require I would feel
more comfortable, but regardless, Cryptic is a story about a
woman who loves cryptic things and ghost stories and supernatural

(35:43):
and so she goes into the woods to find one
of those things and it turns out to be like
a nightmare that kind of puts her in this Groundhog
Day type situation where people think she's missing and she
wears a red cloak, although it doesn't remind me of
Little Red Riding Hood at all except exception of maybe
she's going to look for the mom's which keep this
nightmare keeps taking physical form and kind of haunting her

(36:04):
and stalking her. The thing I like about this trailer,
and I'll let you weigh in, but the thing I
liked about this trailer on first watch because I didn't
read the log line, so I could be completely wrong.
That's just my assumption for watching it is that this
woman is not afraid of the monster. She faces it
head on, and I love that. M Like, I want

(36:26):
to figure out what this is and I want to
stop you, but I'm not scared of you.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Yeah. It's interesting because this is a movie that had
an initial release a year ago because it was first
showed off at South By Southwest twenty twenty four, but
it's just now getting a wider release. So I think
it's interesting because I hadn't heard about it at all
until I came across the trailer for the wide release,

(36:53):
and it seems like it's right up our alley and
that it is talking about cryptids. It's a horror the
you know, it falls kind of into our wheelhouse. But yeah,
somehow this one escaped my notice until I came across
the more recent trailer. I think it looks interesting. I
saw briefly some information about reviews that have it more

(37:17):
kind of middle of the road, but still middle of
the Road's not terrible, Like I'm happy for a middle
of the road compared to like, I don't know, I'm
not gonna say eight twenty five Forest Road is going
to be a bad movie. I just it didn't do
anything for me. This one I felt was a little
more effective for me personally.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Yeah, I agree, honestly, a lot of the not always,
but I feel like a lot of the films that
kind of hit the film festival's circuit have have slipped
past my notice this time, which isn't always bad because
sometimes it's frustrating when you get like information on a
movie that sounds really cool and there's absolutely no way
for you to watch it without shelling out a bazillion dollars.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Yeah. Yeah, like traveling to another city or hoping that
there'll be you know, a traveling like. I remember some
movies doing the old road show thing where they would
go city to city and screen the film, so you
had to really pay attention if you wanted a chance
to see it. That's how I saw Hot Fuzz the
first time. Was Hot Fuzz came to Atlanta as part

(38:21):
of a traveling road show. Edgar Wright and Simon Peg
and Nick Frost all came to the screening.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Was that there, Yes, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
It was the Plaza Theater.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
I definitely went to that. No, I think I saw
Scott Pilgrim with you guys.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Yeah, that one was with Yeah, they had some of
the other stars there. I think Michael Lara was there
and yeah again Egar Wright was there again.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
I mean they still kind of do that sometimes. There
are sometimes press tours and things like that. I hope
they get back to it.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Yeah, that'd be cool. But moving on next, we have
our Pixar film trailer.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
For Ilio, which you might be like, you've talked about
that before. Yes, we've had like two teasers, but now
we have an official trailer.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Yeah, and it's in case you don't remember. It's a
story about a young boy named Ilio or Eloh who really, really, really,
more than anything in the world, wants to be abducted
by aliens. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
I think it's because he doesn't feel like he fits
in here on Earth. He's kind of the vibe I get.
He's a kid with one eye in part of it, oh,
in part of it.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Yeah, In other parts of the trailer he has two eyes.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
I didn't notice that. Oh, Okay, So I guess trigger
warning if you're worried about a kid losing an eye.
Maybe his eye is just so powerful and can see
so many things he has to cover it up.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Or maybe he's missing an eye in the beginning and
gets it back in the course of the film.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
That could also be awesome. But he meets an alien
friend who also doesn't quite fit in with expectations, and
it looks so cute.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
It does. It looks very cute like this one looks
very silly, like a lot of Pixar films, but like,
I like this one because it's not giving me a
vibe of a different Pixar film right off the bat,
except maybe was it Luna. What was the one where

(40:22):
it was the kids who could turn it who were mermaids? Essentially, Yeah,
Luca Luca. That one, it's the closest is making me
feel as Luca, and it's not even that close. But like,
remember when we saw Elemental and we were all like, oh,
is this just Zootopia again?

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Or I mean it's not. It turned out not to be,
but the trailer shirt made it seem.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
Yeah, No, Elemental was its own thing. I did finally
watch that and I was like, oh, this is very
different from what I anticipated based on the trailers because
it was really more about kind of an immigrant story
than anything else. But yeah, this looks I thought there
were bits in the trailer that I thought were very funny.

(41:05):
So I will probably check this out. Maybe I'll see
it on a Disney cruise.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
I maybe I also want to check it out. I
think it looks adorable. It doesn't give me two similar
vibes I've never seen Luca though, but it also is
not Several of the Pixar films. They've gotten away from
this more recently, but several of the Pixar films in
the beginning were like introduced characters, chase scene, like all

(41:30):
chasing Finding Nemo toy story.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
Finding Nemo is not just a chase scene. It's it's
there are chase scenes in Finding Nemo, but it's.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Anyhow, this doesn't feel like that, So I look forward
to it. I like it. No, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
I was going to say, you need to watch Luca,
but yeah, you're not looking forward to the next one.
I take it.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
Yeah, I need to watch a bunch of stuff, but
I don't think Freaky or Friday is going to be
one of those.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
Yeah, we got a trailer for Freakier Friday, which of
course is the sequel to Freaky Friday, which was the
the Jamie Lee, Curtis Lindsay Lohan film.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
Yeah, reboot of the old Freaky Friday. Yes, I think Hayley.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Mills, Hailey Mills, Yeah, yeah, way back in the day.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
No, No, Freaky Friday was Jody Foster.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Oh, you're right, you're right. I'm mixing them up too.
Parent Trap was parent Trap was Hailey Mills. Yeah, Well
that and Pollyanna. Pollyanna was also Hailey Mills. Yeah, but yeah,
Freakier Friday. It's a long I guess I waited is
the wrong word. It's a sequel. It's a sequel that

(42:44):
took many, many many years to happen. We're getting it
now for same reason.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
Like like real lifetime to happen, because when the original happened,
Lindsay Lohan was a teenager and switched places with Jamie
Lee Curtis, who was old enough to be her mom,
And those are the characters they played. Now Lindsay Lohan
is playing a mom and Jammie Lee Curtis is playing
a grandma. So it's almost like they were just waiting
for them to age into the new story.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
Yeah, and the Freaky Friday incident makes them change places
with the with Lindsay Lohan's daughters, I guess.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Daughter, and I don't know. I got like a best
friend of Vibe, which was really weird.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Yeah, it's maybe it was like a sleepover situation and
so like Grandma and mom are in the kids and
the kids are in Grandmam and Ma. And yeah, I'm
sure it'll end up being very mad cap and silly.
I'm okay, never experiencing it myself.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
I feel like this movie. I think I sometimes I'm
an old soul. There's a bunch of like media that
I watched growing up that came out before I was
born that I really enjoyed. Freaky Friday is one of those.
I liked the original Jodie Foster one, so the Lindsay

(44:10):
Lohan one either came out a little too late for
me to enjoy, or I was already a fan of
the original and didn't see a need for a new one,
kind of kind of similar with parent Trap, and so
I didn't watch the original. I don't have the nostalgia.
And then also I feel like a lot of the
jokes are not like it's for the people who are

(44:30):
nostalgic for the Lindsay Lohan remake and then for their kids,
and I'm neither of those things.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
So yeah, yeah, I mean, I definitely watched the original
Freaky Friday film like way back in the day when
like it would come on Disney Channel or whatever, but
that's it.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
I did like thirteen going on thirty, which is vaguely similar,
not really but vaguely. I watched seventeen again. That one also,
I couldn't tell you a thing about it.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
So yeah, well, Jim, it's time for us to move
on and talk about what the heck happened between john
Wick three and john Wick four.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
He joined a dance troup, Well.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
He tried to. He tried to make room in a
dance troup.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
That's true. Yeah, we got a it's technically a second trailer,
but it kind of feels like an official trailer for Ballerina,
which is the Anada Armas. Yes, john Wick entry where
she plays the assassin. She's a ballerina, yeah, assassin.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
She's part of Angelica Houston's group.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
She's a black widow, atomic blonde, red sparrow.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Yeah, ballerina, tattooed ballerina type. Yeah. So these were introduced
in a previous john Wick film, I guess john Wick
three and and so it has her story about her
becoming an assassin and then various other parties start calling
out for a hit on her and including john Wick

(46:14):
being sent out to stop her. So we know there
is a there's a confrontation between her and john Wick.
We also know that john Wick survives that confrontation because
john Wick four happened. So yeah, so I mean like

(46:34):
there it goes some of that tension. But true, I
mean it looks I mean if you like John Wick movies,
like if that's kind of like you like that aesthetic,
you like the action, you like the mythology of that world.
This is more of it, it is, I do like that.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
The next like this, this story and then the next
two kind of all fit together. Is in like beginning
middle end. So we had Ballerina, that's the beginning, and
these are not related stories, but in my brain they're
matching up. The next we have a trailers for All
you Need Is Kill, So once you become an assassin,
all you need to do is kill?

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Right, All you Need is Kill is based off a manga,
a Japanese manga that is the actual inspiration for Edge
of Tomorrow. So if you saw Edge of Tomorrow, what
was the other title for that?

Speaker 1 (47:29):
Dirense repeat no live Die repeat, live di repeat repeat.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
I knew if you said it. If you said it,
you'd get it wrong and I would remember what the
real is.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Six of one half a Baker's doesn't know the other.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
But you know if that if you've seen that movie,
that's lower. Tom Cruise plays a character who when he dies,
he wakes up the same day that you know he died.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
In surprisingly good movie.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Yeah, it's got a Groundhog Day kind of element to
it as well well that that was inspired by the
manga All You Need Is Kill and now we're getting
an anime adaptation of that actual source material. So when
I started watching this, I was like, oh, this is
Edge of Tomorrow and then I thought, wait a minute,
wasn't Edge of Tomorrow based off this? I'm like, okay,
so calling this Edge of Tomorrow is incorrect calling Edge

(48:14):
of Tomorrow this, that's the other way around. That's yes,
because it predates it.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
So yeah it the arts. The art style reminded me
of Scavenger's Reign. It's not the same artist art team,
but it's so pretty that I was like, I need
to include it.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
Yeah. The alien design is very surreal and yeah, pretty
but in a scary way. So yeah, I'm glad that
this is being adapted into a film, or has been
adapted into a film. I actually really liked Edge of Tomorrow.
I felt that that was an underrated movie. It it

(48:53):
kind of didn't do so well at the box office,
and I think that was part of the reason why
they decided to rebrand it, like it came out as
the Edge of Tomorrow and then they said, no where
it's going to call it Lived Repeat. And I think
part of that was that they were trying to address
an issue where people just weren't because it was science fiction,

(49:14):
but it wasn't attached to a known ip, no one
was really paying attention to it. Meanwhile, it was one
of the better science fiction films to come out in years.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
And I'm not even like a huge Tom Cruise fan.
This is There are a few projects he does where
I'm like, oh, yeah, this person can really act, and
this was one of them. It was fun and it
was action, and it was tense and it was emotional.
It was just a really good movie. I loved it
as soon as I watched it. I told everybody about it,

(49:44):
and I continue to do so because it is in
my top ten I think of sci fi's Yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
So hopefully this animated film will be as good, if
not better. It'll be interesting to see something that is
more closely tied to the source, because again, Edge of
Tomorrow was not a direct adaptation. It was just very
heavily inspired by All You Need.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Is Kill Yeah, And then once you kill things, you
end up with the Walking Dead.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
Don't you ever? Man especially in this city. But it
turns out it's not just Atlanta that's lousy with zombies.
It's also Manhattan, New York City. Yeah, we got a
trailer for Walking Dead Dead City season two. I believe?

Speaker 1 (50:31):
Is it season two?

Speaker 2 (50:33):
I think? I think so. I listen. I haven't been
watching Walking Dead in years, Harel, let me let me
just see. But yep, Dead City season two, yep, sure
is so? Uh yeah, Meagan are our favorite head smashing

(50:53):
baseball Batwheelder is trying to trying to maintain some sense
of order in Manhattan, which seems to be maybe slightly
more chaotic than the version of Manhattan you would see
in such documentary films as Escape from New York.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
Yeah. The thing that the only reason I include this
since John and I neither watched Walking Dead anymore, and
it kind of just became a slog to talk as
much of a slog to talk about as it was
to watch, Like there's eventually there's more Walking Dead. It
looks super violent and grim this one. And I didn't
watch season one because I was like, I don't like Megan,

(51:34):
I really don't like Megan. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan,
but I hate the character. Is it like, there's this
group of people that gave me like a down and
dirty uh shoot, what's the name of it. It's not
it's the something gay the Hunger Games, a down in

(51:55):
dirty Hunger Games. There's like this down and dirty, posh
group of people. It's like this almost gives it like
a fantasy twist feel to it.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
Yeah, yeah, I agree with that. It's yeah, it had
a kind of Game of Thrones ish kind of thing. Slash.
I mean, there's actually some Escape from New York kind
of vibes in there too. I still y'all all know
my views on the whole Walking Dead stuff, Like I

(52:30):
get that the zombie movies and this is this is
true for much of the zombie based entertainment stuff out there.
It's not really about the zombies. It's kind of about
what people will do when they are pushed to the
very limits of desperation and how they'll all turn into,
you know, selfish jerks, and that if you're not a

(52:53):
selfish jerk, that just means you're fodder for all the
selfish jerks out there. So you're not gonna last very long.
And I still don't like those those stories, like I
get it, like, yay, you have seen the worst of
humanity and you're telling stories about it. I don't need that.
So I understand that that has its place, and that
people there are some people who really gravitate towards that.

(53:15):
That's fine. I just can't do it. I need to
have people who genuinely have a chance to believe that
they can perhaps make the world a better place and
not just feel like, oh no, the world's fundamentally and
irreparably broken and if you don't break with it, then
you're gonna die. I can't do that anymore.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Yeah, I know, and I know like art imitates life,
but also I feel like there is more value in
imitating the things that you can do, or the hope
that you can have, or the ways that you can
make a change something that's got a moral or inspiring
or something like that. And there's a room for all

(53:59):
kinds of I'm not trying to say there isn't, but.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
Yeah, Ferens. The issue I have with Walking Dead and
Game of Thrones and all that is that it started
to feel like these are stories that were designed to
make you like certain characters, only for them to inevitably
suffer a terrible fate, right, Like, either they suffer a
terrible fate in that they are they die, or they

(54:24):
are forced to change who they are and become a
terrible version of themselves. And in either case, I'm just
like y'all, I'd rather watch other stories.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Well, and like I specifically noped out of Walking Dead
when they were so happy to use Glenn's death and
the brutal way he dies as a you can't wait
to watch this like that, that kind of glee about

(54:57):
torture and harming people I can't get behind.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Yeah, same reason why I couldn't stick with Game of Thrones.
I mean, like I again, I don't want to yuck
anyone's yum. If folks really like those those stories, that's
totally cool. It's just like for me, I find it
it's not good for my own mental health. So yeah,
but that's it. Those are all the trailers. This was

(55:23):
one of those weeks where like, because we're not even
an hour in, you know, we're usually an hour and
a half long podcast these days, we did it, Yeah,
we got it sub one hour. Uh. It was actually
at one point when we were putting this together, we
never count on it being a very light week, like
sometimes we'll feel that way, but we've seen it change

(55:44):
often enough for us to not make that prediction anymore,
especially not on a Wednesday, because you never know what
Thursday will bring. But we had talked about potentially having
a discussion topic U and I'm gonna go ahead and
say what that discussion topic is in case any of
y'all out there think about it and suggest stuff to
Ariel as potential candidates for this, which is that I

(56:08):
was just thinking. I was reminiscing about the show Pushing Daisies,
which I really enjoyed, and it did not last very long,
sort of like Dead Like Me, which is set in
the same universe. Both of those series did not last
very long, and I feel that those series perhaps could

(56:28):
have had more longevity today in the era of media
streaming and streaming services and having exclusive series on streaming services.
I think that they could have done better today than
they did when they were on broadcast television. And I'm
curious if any of y'all out there can think of

(56:49):
any genre sort of series that didn't really last very
long but potentially could have found a home in the
era of streaming. Another one I can think of off
the top of my head, though it would obviously have
to be drastically updated, would be Wizards and Warriors, which
I think only lasted maybe six episodes.

Speaker 1 (57:12):
Yeah. I have some ideas of series that might be
in that boat, but I can't remember if they started
on streaming or not. I'd have to like go back
and check dates and things. And we also know this,
this is like going to streaming is not a guarantee, right,
because there are some great shows like The Brother's Son
or many people think Chaos that only got one season

(57:33):
because people just didn't finish them.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Sure. Yeah, no, there's no guarantee. I'm just thinking like
on broadcast television, some of the more genre East stuff,
especially in the era before the genre stuff became more mainstream,
just didn't stand the chance, right, Like, yeah, you know
there were there were outliers, but they usually were on

(58:00):
cable stations, not broadcast TV. So like Wizards and Warriors
was on broadcast television, it just didn't last very long.
Galshy Daisies, Galivan. Yeah, these are series that perhaps if
they were an exclusive series on a an established streaming platform.
I'm talking about something like Disney Plus or Netflix or

(58:22):
Amazon or Apple TV plus, that kind of stuff, not
not your you know CSOs which didn't last very long,
like nothing, not like that, but like one of the
big ones that has, you know, the ability to absorb
that kind of production. So if you guys can think
of any shows that maybe didn't last very long that

(58:47):
perhaps could have found a life on streaming, let us
know and we'll chat about that in an episode where
we don't have as much other stuff to talk about.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
Yeah. Yeah, If people are obstinate and they want to
try to tell you instead of me, Jonathan, how do
they do that?

Speaker 2 (59:04):
Oh? Well, if you want to talk to me, I'll
tell you where I'm gonna be tonight. So it's fine
because I don't think i'll get this episode edited in
time for you to be able to find me. I'm
gonna be at Dad's Garage theater. I'm going to watch
Hot John Balayah, which is a musical murder mystery show
that is an original show that they have put up.

(59:25):
It is scripted, it's not improvised. A lot of the
stuff Dad's Garage does is improvise, So you need to
go to Dad's Garage Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, and you
need to go and buy a ticket for Hot John Balaya.
It's gonna be rough because that show's almost sold out tonight.
And look for me. I'll be on house right about
Roe d hugging the side of the theater as far

(59:50):
as literally writing, Yeah, I'm as far over to the
rise you can be. And yeah, I'll be four rows
back essentially on the right side of the theater house right.
And yeah, you can just come up to me and
ask your question.

Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Then my bandmate will actually be there tonight and her family. Yeah. Yeah.
And if you know you missed, you missed it, like
you didn't have the precognition to get a ticket before they.

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
Sold out, because I didn't edit and publish this time, because.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
You didn't publish, because Jonathan didn't publish and edit this
episode in time. Then you can reach out to me.
The ways to do that are on Facebook and Instagram
and threads were larger Drunk Collider on Blue Sky where

an incredible long list. That is it until next time.
I am Ariel, no nonsense casting.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
And I'm Jonathan. I'm Craven. A good superhero movie, Strickland.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
