Can also become a first listener andenjoying the first listening club with the
many other bengalstands to make us theirfirst listen every day, and we appreciate
all of you who do. Already, James, let's get into rookie mini
camp and there are some contract sidevery early in the process for the Bengals
to get a first round pick side. Maybe the earliest that I can remember

(01:36):
Miles Murphy signing his contract on Friday. Yeah, it was the earliest,
and I think Andre Parota was theone that tweeted it, but it felt
like the earliest, the earliest sincethe rookie wage scale came into effect and
they didn't get them done early beforethat, so it's probably the earliest,
maybe ever that they were able toget it done. And I know we're

(01:57):
going to dive into these guys atit, but I'll say this. You
just see Miles Murphy, You're like, oh, certainly looks the part,
moves well. And it's not likehe was going up against Orleano Brown Junior
or someone like that on Friday, but it was good to see he certainly
looks the part of a first roundpick, so it was good to see
him get locked up. I hadjust left the stadium on Friday when that

(02:21):
was reported by Tom Pella Sero, and then obviously the Bengals have announced it
since, so it's good to seesee them get it done and good for
him. The rookies were, ofcourse down in the bubble on Friday,
James and maybe we start there.Indoor practice facility not a bubble. We're
not supposed to call it the bubble? Is that? Is that a bad
do we do a faux pa?We didn't do anything. We were on

(02:46):
the locked on Bengals podcasts responsible forwhat else. We didn't do anything,
But yes, I was in theindoor practice facility on Friday and well and
it was man, let's uh yeah, no, Look, it was good

(03:07):
to see the guys get out thereand do some stuff. Are there major
takeaways? There aren't major takeaways,So I don't want to to hype it
up to be something that it wasn't. But let's start with Miles Murphy.
He looks like a first round defensiveent. He certainly carried himself like it.

(03:28):
He moved like one. And Maryand Hobby spent about I would say,
forty five minutes or so with himand talking with him, and yeah,
you just hope that he can obviouslyperform like one. But looks the
part to me, looks the partto me and just looking here, he

(03:49):
also worked with um see, I'mgonna butcher this name to to Tyla Pipia
something like that. Either way,get out of Arizona State, another rookie.
But it was those two guys,so Hobby basically got to pay attention
to two guys, one of whichwas a first rounder, the other undrafted
guy. The point is is MilesMurphy got plenty of work in with Mary

(04:13):
and Hobby, and that's what youlike to see. That's the benefit of
a rookie mini camp, even ifit is limited and it's not what it
once was. Miles Murphy got goodwork in with his coach. And there
are some other takeaways, but i'llget your reaction to that that initially,
Yeah, I mean all the rookiesgot to meet with the media, of
course, right, like that's partof the whole thing, but in terms
of on field stuff, but you'rejust talking about getting that hands on work

(04:35):
even if it's only an hour andthe whole rookie mini camp experience is somewhat
limited. And that's why I mentionedthe meeting with the media in the locker
room, because that's the first timein person for these guys to meet with
the media for the most part, and a lot of the draft picks spent
time with small huddles, I wouldsay, relatively small huddles right around their

(04:56):
lockers in the locker room. Buton the Miles Murphy note, just getting
a few of those technique pointers rightaway. You can see it. I
think it was a video you posted, James on Friday, a long time
ago. Hard to remember, butthere's a video you posted where you saw
it. Hobby giving Miles Murphy somejust a couple of pointers in terms of
getting the line in a better way. And so with Murphy and all of

(05:19):
his athletic gifts, getting some ofthat refinement going early, starting to plant
that seed early, and obviously they'regoing to get a lot of work here
over the next month as the offseason program continues. But getting a little
bit of one on one attention makesit a little bit easier to focus for
Mary and Hobby and get that kindof private session kind of feel right,

(05:42):
and you don't often get that atthe NFL level, even if it is
only for an hour. Yep,I totally agree, So it's certainly beneficial
there. And then the other guyand he was on the other side.
But I think people know how excitedI am that the Bengals added a guy
that can contribute in that wider receiverroom, even if it is a stacked,
deep wide receiver room. Charlie Jones. I think he's this plug,

(06:06):
plug and play type dude, plugand play and he I got to talk
to him afterwards. First, letlet's talk about the field. On the
field, he very crisp route runner, good hands, made a really nice
catch on the sideline where I don'tknow how many guys make it, but
it was a it was a badball, to be quite honest, and

(06:28):
he was able to basically make ashoestring grab where he was still able to
keep his feet down and inbounds. And I checked the replay to make sure
because I was recording at the time, and so you're running on air what
it was good to see. AndI think that Joe Burrow is gonna like
him. It's not going to takelong next week when they well, this
week, when they when they geton that practice field and can start to

(06:51):
get to work before Burrows like,oh yeah, I like this Charlie Jones
kid. And I asked him Jakeabout punt returning too, because he was
talking about his mindset and all ofthose things and the punt returning aspect.
He had like the perfect mindset ormentality, and I think it's something fans

(07:13):
are really going to embrace. Thefirst thing he said was how confident he
was. He said, well,I'm confident back there. But then he
talked about his preparation, how hewants to be aggressive, but he doesn't
want to be dumb essentially and dosomething dumb back there. And it sounds
like cliche, but he did itin college and he was able to have

(07:34):
that balance, and I think youneed that balance as a punt returner.
And so he's pretty even keeled. And I know he's older than t Higgins
by a little bit older than JamarChase, but that could benefit him as
he tries to compete with Trent Taylorfor that starting punt returner job. Feels
like a competition he can win, fourth round pick, gonna make the team.

(08:00):
Heats with Trent Taylor for a rosterspot directly at the wide receiver position.
Can can return kicks as well, right, Like, can do both.
You would think he has in thatcompetition, right, I mean fourth
round rookie versus a reliable veteran whothe Bengals have stuck with for a couple

(08:20):
of years. Yes, but that'sa relatively big investment, like he's he's
gonna make the team. So wheredoes that leave Trent Taylor? That that's
a difficult conversation that we probably willneed to value in quite a while.
But on the topic of recommend camp, jagns some defensive guys we haven't talked
about yet. Can talk about theyou know, the normal spring observations of

(08:46):
how these guys look. You know, Miles Murphy looks like an NFL ready
NFL body to play on the defensiveline. I think you can say the
same thing for Jordan Battle. Wecan talk about some of these defensive guys,
some of these other picks, andwe got rookie numbers to talk about
James, and we should hit onsome of the other college free agents,

(09:09):
some of the undrafted guys who werein attendance on Friday as well. So
we'll continue the conversation of rookie minicampcoming up next. Today's show is brought

of the Lockdown Podcast network your teamevery day. Let's talk about Jordan Battle
for a second. I know he'sa third round pick and if you're going
to start on defense. I meanwe talked about Miles Murph. You were
skipping DJ Turner. Will get toDJ Turner. Lots of DJs around and

(10:37):
that was one of the noteworthy thingsthat we'll talk about with DJ Turner and
his pretty cool name that probably beennow a lot of Bengals fans note babble.
We'll get to that Jordan battle Man. That guy has the lower body
you're looking for in an NFL player. He's not the kind of guy that

(10:58):
looks like he's going to get runthrough. Some powerful, powerful looking features
in that lower body for Jordan batI mean NFL strengthened the legs, would
you say, looks looks pretty goodto me, no doubt. It looks
like a linebacker. I mean it'sthick, and you know, when you

(11:20):
talk about instant contributors, and you'vementioned this about him, if you're talking
about a guy who physically has it, and it certainly looked that way,
like size, looked like it movedwell during some of these drills, and
has the intelligence that's the part thateveryone's raved about. Intelligence and intangibles,
all of those things. Man,I think he fits really well with what

(11:43):
they're trying to do. Obviously comesfrom an Alabama program that's used to winning,
and that's something I talked with himabout on Friday and he's like,
yeah, the first thing I thoughtof was Cincinnati. That's a winning team,
that's a winning organization, winning culture. And one what a one eighty
it's been and how quickly it changed, because that was not the case when

(12:05):
Jordan Battle was a young player atAlabama. But he stays for four years
and you look up and the Bengalsare one of those teams and he just
adds to it. So I agreewith you. I was one of the
surprises from Friday to me was thatwas Jordan Battle, how thick he was,
his trunk so to speak. Wasit was one of those things like

(12:30):
when I first saw Joe Mixon,I felt that way he was bigger than
I expected. When I first sawJamar Chase his legs, I was like,
man, he doesn't look like areceiver. He looks like a running
back legs wise. And so ifI had to say Battle again, I
would say, like a thick linebacker. But that doesn't mean he doesn't move
well because he's he's got those safetytraits and it's not like he runs a

(12:52):
four to eight. He ran afour or five five and obviously has great
instincts and plays plays fast. Soyeah, I would not be shocked if
he contributes, no doubt, andDJ Turner, the Bengal second round pick,
obviously also present. Dan Horr, tweeting about the name a lot of

(13:13):
DJs, DJ Reader, DJ Ivy, DJ Turner, DJ Turner's first name.
His given name is Juan Drago, says he expects his teammates to call
him Jan Drago or simply Drago, which that's pretty cool, man. I
mean, I don't know if you'vetalked about this on the podcast before.

(13:33):
John Sharon was on this back whenhe was back when the draft happened,
when when DJ Turner was a pick, And maybe we haven't given this enough
attention, but I'm in favor ofDrago Drago Turner, cornerback, Cincinnati Bengals.
What do you think, I mean, we're talking about nicknames. This

(13:54):
is his actual name. Yeah,it's it's awesome, right if if he
goes with that, that man mightlead the NFL and interceptions that that's the
type of name that does that. And yeah, I think um, by
the way, we mentioned Miles Murphy. Just uh, since we're talking about

(14:16):
Drag, congrats to all of Drago. Yeah, let's just start calling him
that and not DJ Turner, eventhough DJ Turner is a really cool cornerback
name, but Drago is is unique. Congrats to all the guys for signing
and getting the rookie deals done, and shout out to the organization for that.
I know we mentioned Miles Murphy, but they're all done, and so
I just didn't want to forget that. That said, yeah, I think

(14:37):
Drago is best cornerback name in sports. Wan Drags even better to me.
But either way, that's that's apretty cool nickname. So our pretty cool
name, not nickname. And sowhether he goes by DJ or not,
I think that that's cool. Thatsaid, DJ readers DJ reader in DJ

(15:00):
Ivy. We'll see. We'll seeif you know, he's gonna have to
make the team first, right orstick to out on the practice squad,
So DJ Turner might just end upbeing DJ Turner, although I like the
idea of a drago in by theway, you want to talk about speed
certainly looks the part. And shoutout to Loui and a Rumo. He
came up to me or he calledme over at the start of rookie minicamp

(15:22):
and he was like, on draftnight, you asked me about DJ's length
and I must have misspoke because it'snot like he has bad length, and
he wanted to clarify, like,he's got fine length. And I was
like, yeah, I should havesaid size, and he was like,
yeah, you probably should have saidsize. He's gonna be just fine,
and he winked at me. So, LOUI an a rumo, very excited
about DJ Turner. I don't evenremember asking about length. I'm sure I

(15:45):
did. He remembers it more thanI do. The draft is a blur,
but there you go. Fun,little fun, little side note.
You gotta love those little camp stories. That's why we have you on the
ground there, James here at lockedon Bengals where our work is July and
I'm responsible for your work on thisshow and you're responsible. Yeah, it's
a throwback, get it, Iget it. You know what I like?

(16:08):
Bubble gum. I don't think Iget that one. Bubble gum.
It's a very bad joke. Allright, let's uh. I still don't
get it. No, it's stillover my head. I'm getting with bubble
Gum, oh bubble Yeah, ChaseBrown, andre Yosi vash Any any quick

(16:30):
notes there before we talk about someof these numbers. Brad Robins, d
j Ivy as well. I wasimpressed with Brad Robin's locker room, but
I figured we'll talk about the otheroffensive guys first. Yeah, let's talk
about Chase Brown. Um talking aboutlooking the part. Dude looks the part.
Look quick, quick, thick inthe right places, but like lean,

(16:53):
like strong, but lean at thesame time. And if you see
him, you'll know what I Youknow what I mean. It's not like
there's any bad weight there. It'suh, he's going to pack a punch.
And I think he has the rightmindset. And that was my takeaway
from really talking to all of them. And I didn't get to talk to
every single draft pick, but gotto talk with Brad Robbins, Chase Brown,

(17:15):
got to talk with DJ Turner,Juandrago, m Charlie Jones. I'm
missing one or two. Oh Um, Battle talk with Battle too. They
all seem to like have in therookies. They should be saying the right
things right but like the right mentality. And I think Brown certainly has that.
Chris Evans a few years ago mentioneddoing the mixing in that jump cut

(17:38):
drill. Well, that's that's somethingthat that Chase Brown mentioned as well,
said he grew up watching not grewup, but but watched Mixon throughout his
career, even dating back to Oklahoma, So I think that's cool. He
mentioned that Joe Mixon has reached outto him, So yeah, I really
like the the way Brown as himselfand he certainly looks the part as far

(18:03):
as other offensive players. Andre YosevashI thought he looked good. Now he
should look good on air, right, but look good and is one of
those crazy athletes. Isn't a physicallyimposing as some of these other guys that
we talked about, but he's notgoing to be. He's a receiver.
Charlie Jones isn't either, But didn'tlook lost out there or anything like that.

(18:26):
And the reason I preface it andsay it that way is because a
lot of people look at it andsay, oh, well, you know,
the Princeton kid, He's got alot of development to do, and
I'm sure he does, but it'snot like he looked out of place during
workouts on Friday. Yeah, it'smore football refinement for him, where he
was able to get by on hisphysical gifts at Princeton right where it's IVY

(18:48):
League, it's not the highest levelof competition in college football, but he
is an Olympic level athlete, andso I was able to get by on
those traits. Was really pressed aswell with Brad Robbins locker room talking about
process over results, talking about allthe different sports that he's played, which
you know you hear about multi sportathletes at quarterback a lot more than punter,

(19:11):
but baseball, golf, all thesedifferent sports that Brad Robins played,
and the way that he's talking aboutincorporating those lessons into punting, the way
that he's talking about his early backand force with Darren Simmons about you know,
some of the small technique changes ormental tools that he wants to use
in terms of the way he approachespunt punting. Came away pretty impressed with

(19:33):
the way Brad Robbins talked about hiscraft at his locker and that's encouraging for
a guy that I think has areal leg up in that punter competition.
Yeah, the way he analyzes itand We've talked about this, but now
this is our first firsthand account fromhim talking about dealing with weather and using

(19:56):
it to his advantage, which Ithought was pretty interesting, and in how
he ops the ball in relating itto golf at one point, which Darren
Simmons has mentioned and used like eightytwo thousand golf golf references when describing punters
and kickers and holding and all ofthose things, and mentality and mindset.
So I think he might be theperfect fit with Darren Simmons because they both

(20:21):
seemed to view the craft the sameway. And he's a young guy obviously,
Ohio guy from Columbus, made hisway up to Michigan and comes to
Cincinnati with a really cool mustache.I think he's got a fun personality and
we'll see if he can be thenext number ten punter. He's got Kevin
Huber's number. I just spoiled that, I guess, but to be great,

(20:41):
we'll see, we'll talk about thosenumbers. Love how he was nerding
out about punting. Anybody that watchesthe show those that I love the nerdy
stuff, and so listening to BradRobins getting nerdy about punting, talk about
how he used to be a closerwhen he played baseball, and you know
the high leverage they're used to thatpress, and how that's going to translate
to punting and soul. Just alot of really cool tidbits to take away

(21:03):
from the Brad Robins locker room huddle. I thought that was a pretty interesting
set, and everybody knows that. You know where I am on specialist,
but I'm excited about Brad Robins.Let's talk about some of these numbers,
James. We have the full listof the Bengals draft picks. Assigned numbers
are selected numbers, so we'll getinto those numbers and some of these on
drafted guys that were in attendance onFriday. Coming up next, the Denver

(21:29):
Nuggets are one step closer to reachingthe NBA Finals after sending the Phoenix Suns
packing on Thursday night. On along enough timeline, Nicola Yoga twins over
everyone. The Chicago Blackhawks won theNHL Draft lottery and with it, the
opportunity to add Connor Bardard to theirroster. I do think the Blackhawks fans
are absolutely deserving of a generational talentlike Connorbadar to be the face of this

(21:51):
city. Moving forward, and thetwenty twenty three NFL season is officially set
to kick off in Kansas City, where the Chiefs will host the Detroit Lions
on September seventh. This could bea prime chance for the Lions to make
their claim for more on all thesestories. Make sure to check out the
newest episodes of Locked On a Nuggets, Locked On Blackhawks, and Locked On
NFL. Then check out locked On'snewest series, Paving the Way. Each

(22:15):
episode will highlight a different voice fromLacrosse the network, a Locked On host
whose journey in the industry has helpedpaved the way toward creating a more inclusive
and diverse media landscape that's paving theway, presented by State Farm, available
now on the Lockdown Presents podcast feeds. Let's dive into the numbers and the
one we knew outside of the oneI just spoiled with Brad Robbins's number ten

(22:40):
is Miles Murphy number ninety nine.Knew that one sign sale delivered. Of
these, I think some stand outthe most more than others, So I'll
just give you the ones that standout. Charlie Jones. I think we
kind of knew he was going togo with number fifteen, certainly the one
you know he played with at Purdue. But interesting because I think anytime someone

(23:00):
sees that number, they still thinkof the late Chris Henry. So interesting
one there, DJ Turner, DragoTurner, Wan Drago Turner, DJ Turner
the second. There's four different nameswe could give him. Wearing Eli Apple's
number twenty could mean and likely doesmean that Eli Apple doesn't play in Cincinnati

(23:22):
this season. And then Chase Brownnumber thirty. I think that's an interesting
one because it goes from Jesse Batesto a running back and kind of switches
rolls there. But I think that'sa pretty good number for a running back.
So those are a couple that stoodout. Yeah, I mean no,
no bad numbers there. Ninety ninefor Miles Murphy got the same forward

(23:45):
and back nature to it. Reallybig number like that number, DJ Turner,
twenty, great corner number twenty sevenfor Battle great safety number. Last
player to wear fifteen, by theway, that's Charlie Jones Is, Damian
Willis two nine teen, John RossWorton twenty seventeen, twenty and eighteen,
and Mario Alford twenty fifteen not worn'ta ton though, since Chris Henry had

(24:07):
it from two thousand and five totwo thousand and nine, So I'm gonna
knock the dust off of that one. It's the first time it's going to
be worn since two thousand nineteen. And Damian willis good receiver number though.
I like the numbers in the inthe tens and the teens provide receivers.
Chase Brown getting a nice round thirty. That's what he were in college,

(24:27):
I believe, isn't it or wasit three? I believe No, I
believe it was thirty. Trying todouble check on images. He weren't number
two in college? Right, allright, bad, big change. You
can't wear number two in the pros. I don't think it running back.
Yeah, well either way, that'suh, that one's taken. His brother

(24:49):
was thirty at Sydney. Brown wasthirty at That's what I was thinking of.
So that's interesting that yeah. Anyways, um yeah, Brown camp because
of money. Mac Evan McPherson, who ran the half marathon by the way,
half the Flying Pig, congrats tohim. Congrats on his wife to
his wife who ran the full. You guys picked the heck of a marathon

(25:11):
to run, because well it pouredon you either way. Congrats to both
of you for finishing. Anyway, you mentioned andre Yosi Vash. What do
you think about that number? Eightyeighty? I think so people don't love
the wide receiver numbers in the eightiesanymore because they don't have to wear numbers
in the eighties anymore. Right.People seem to prefer the lower nut like

(25:33):
one is a great wide receiver number. The remark chase for it's five,
great wide receiver number the tea wears. But I think three would be great
too. Yeah. Sure, buteighties a good number, man. Some
of the best receivers to ever playthe game were eighty. There's great history
on the number on number, IsaacBruce, Jerry Rice, Wait, who

(25:57):
see eighty five? No? Hewas very rights eighty yeah yeah, yeah,
Yo was eighty five. Chris ChrisCollins or THEO was eighty one?
Is eighty one? Yeah, JadJohnson. That's the only eighty five you
need to know about is Chad Johnsonand Isaac Curtis just for not knowing my

(26:19):
number? Of history? Um thatsaid, who have we not mentioned here?
Jordan Battle? Everyone had him goingwith number zero, and I guess
that that would be the letdown. No one picks zero. Yeah, but
Jordan Battle goes with twenty seven,dj Ivy thirty eight, and I think
that's all of them. I thinkwe mentioned everybody else. So overall,
big fan of the numbers. Wishthere was a number zero. Um,

(26:41):
maybe there'll be a skill guy innext year's draft that can wear zero,
because I think that's that's a funnumber. Like if if Brown war zero,
that'd be pretty cool. So dynamicoffensive player war zero, you know
that'd be But but I could alsosee it being on a safety, a
heartening safety Jordan Battle number zero like, yeah, so it fits a lot

(27:02):
of different guys, so someone willDJ or not DJ. Dj Ivy getting
thirty eight not my favorite number fora corner if I was to be critical
of something besides nobody getting zero, thirty eight not my favorite cornerback number.
You know, thirties in general forcorners. There's something too athletically pleasing about

(27:25):
thirty eight. Yeah, I Ithink, what's up Leshaun Sims thirty eight?
He was that's that's tough. That'sa tough number. I'm not gonna
lie because that was a dark adark time. See if there's any any
other notable thirty eights here real quickin the Bengals history. There aren't really.
Leshaun Sims is probably the most notablethirty eight in Bengals history. The

(27:49):
most notable. Yeah it's not good. I mean Javaris Davis Ward in twenty
twenty two. Who right, justjust kidding, I'm kidding. Nineteen ninety
nine was the last time before LashawnSins the thirty eight was born in Cincinnati,
according to Pro Football References Database,by a guy named Michael Basnight.

(28:11):
You remember him in nineteen ninety nine. I don't spell it B A S
and I GHD. Yeah, Idon't, I don't. I don't recall
you actually played in thirteen games.Yeah, at sixty two carries for the
nineteen ninety nine Cincinnati Bengals. Ifound. So here we go, just

(28:33):
because why not? Story time? You know? John Clayton the Old Sports
reported for ESPNY an article from Julytwenty fifth of that season, Basnight taking
on big foes this season it's inGeorgetown, Kentucky, when the Bengals still
had their training camp in Georgetown, and Michael Basnight hopes to fill to be

(28:55):
there to fill the gap if CoreyDillon doesn't report the camp. So I
guess Corey Dillon was in the middleof a potential holdout as a rookie and
he went on to be great asa rookie. But yeah, that was
that was part of it? Orwhat was this later? Let me check
the rest of these numbers though, while you're checking. Have at least some

(29:17):
players in Bengals history that have beenpretty good or productive players. So no
bad numbers here for the top thetop six rounds of Bengals rookies at least.
Yeah, so this was this wasnot this was when Corey Dilla might
have been frustrated with either contract talksor whatever. But yeah, because Achilee

(29:38):
Smith was on the team. Sothat was not Dylan's rookie year by any
stretch. So it looks like itwas ninety nine. There you go,
let's hit some of these college freea just real quick before we get out
of here. Anybody noteworthy that youwant to call out? Who was there
on Friday? Yeah, it wasninety nine. That was the only year
he played for them. Anyways,Uh, sorry, going down this rabbit,

(30:00):
I want to make sure I finishedit the right way. College free
agents, I would say this, keep an eye on Shedrick Jackson, kid
out of Auburn, bo Jackson's nephew. But more importantly runs a four two
seven looked fast to me. Waswearing the number twelve, which the last
guy we saw where that was PukaWilliams. Certainly ahead of where Puka was

(30:22):
as an undrafted free agent, sowe'll see there. And then the other
guy, Jake that kind of stoodout a little bit at least size wise,
and was moving pretty well. AndI wasn't paying a ton of attention
of attention to the linebackers for obviousreasons, they didn't draft a linebacker is
Shoka Hayward out of Duke, Sowe'll see there. But those are two

(30:44):
guys that stood out. And thenthen one more note, Christian Trehan out
of Houston, the tight end waswearing eighty five, which is a bit
bit unique since we're talking about Jerseynumbers. Unique used to seeing te Higgins
wearing number five, number eighty five. Obviously he's five now. But there
was another note that I thought waskind of interesting, local kid mak Hippenhammer

(31:04):
making any ways, I mean, what a name Miami wide receiver wearing number
nineteen out there, you notice him, I'd notice, I'm sure. Yeah.
But the thing is is with receivers, as long as you're running decent
routes on air and you're catching theball, you look pretty good. You
know. It's so yeah, Ithink I think he was fine. Didn't

(31:26):
stand out in a bad way, which is which is all you could say.
All right, well, Rookie Minicampnow behind us. These rookies will
get together with the Bengals veterans forthe first time. Perhaps when you're listening
to this episode of Lockdown Bengals onMonday. Depends on when you listen.
Maybe you're listening on Sunday night, maybe you're listening, maybe you're behind,

(31:47):
you're catching up. But the overallvibe from Rookie mini Caamp for me,
James, one of the big takeaways, you know, especially with guys like
Jordan Battle, talking about going fromAlabama coming to a winning organization competing for
Super Bowls kind of goes hand inhand with our last episode. We were
talking about the schedule release and kindof my attitude for this team this year,
which is they are Super Bowl contendersand despite the history of the nineties

(32:13):
and of things going wrong in theAndy Dalton era, and you know,
Carson Palmer never quite getting the Bengalsover the hump and all these things.
I think expectations should be high thisyear for this team. That's how players
are coming into this locker room describingit as still a special place. They're
great mentors present for them, andgreat culture now exists underneath Zach Taylor and

(32:36):
his coaching staff. And that's anexciting way to set the tone for the
twenty season, no doubt, nodoubt about it. They just need to
get their bubble gum in order andget to work. No. I I
think they added some good dudes,so we'll see who sticks. We'll see
if any of these undrafted stick. And yeah, offseason workouts, the Vets

(32:59):
are going to meet these rookie thisweek. No bubble going allowed in the
indoor practice facility is what I've learnedtoday, James. Until next time,
I'm the Locked On Bengals podcast. Thanks for listening, who day and have
a good one. The Denver Nuggetsare one step closer to reaching the NBA
Finals after sending the Phoenix Suns packingon Thursday night on a long enough timeline,

(33:20):
Nicola Yoga twins over everyone. TheChicago Blackhawks won the NHL Draft lottery
and with it, the opportunity toadd Connorbadard to their roster. I do
think the Blackhawks fans are absolutely deservingof a generational talent like Connorbadar to be
