voice of the Golden Grizzlies Neil Rule. What is going on? Everybody?
Welcome back to r j's Pub herein Rochester Hills for another episode of the
Greg Campy Show. My name isNeil Rule, the Voice of the Golden
Grizzlies. There is no Greg Campyright now. You guys wouldn't believe this

(00:24):
story if I told you. ButGreg Campy right now is stranded on the
side of the road. He ranout of gas. I'm not lying to
you, guys. He'll be herewhen he can get here, but as
he sits right now, he's onthe side of the road. I did
not get an exact location, buthe is out of gas. He has
people coming onto a system right now, so don't worry. He will get

(00:47):
gas for the gas tank. TheGolden Grizzlies and Greg Campy Show fans have
begun a collection here in one ofthe cups. There's about four dollars in
there, so camp Be can getsome gas. So the fans are thinking
about him and he's angling to behere in just a little bit. But
don't worry. The show goes onas they say, So we're gonna we're

(01:08):
gonna tack this a little bit differently. Yes, we will still be joined
by Chris Conway. Chris Conway willjoin us about six fifty. Man,
look at that, Look at JackGoldie didn't get a hand like that.
That's that's all that I know.But I know we'll talk to Chris coming
up at about in about fifteen minutesfrom now, so we'll be talking with
him. I had a great conversationwith him on the pregame show. We'll

(01:30):
touch on some of those points. And this this basketball team is red hot
right now, there is no doubtabout that. A couple of big wins
in the arena this week. Soso here's how we're gonna do this in
the meantime this for this opening segment, coach can't be actually had this suggestion,
so so you know it'll work.Well, we're doing we're talking to
the fans and you guys, thisis a huge crowd that's in here here

(01:51):
today. We get huge crowds everysingle week at our J's Pub in Rochester,
Hills. Certainly, we're very thankfulfor that. But but you guys
can get a voice to some agreehere tonight. So we're gonna lead things
off. It is the Greg CampyShow, but right now it's the Austin
Show. So Austin Golden Grizzlies seasonticket hole. He's always at the games
as well, So Austin, welcometo the Greg Campy Show. Don't be

(02:14):
nervous, but also don't screw thisup. This is the highest rated show
on this station at this time.Yeah, it's a pleasure to be here.
I know the ratings are through theroof. It's been number one for
years, years, absolutely years andyears and years ever since it came on.
No but Austin. It is kindof cool though, to talk to
the fans here, And first off, I mean your impression you were there

(02:35):
at the games. As a matterof fact, this is one of the
hottest basketball teams in the country rightnow. What was your impression of last
week? I'll tell you what.Well, I haven't seen home games at
Oakland where I wasn't stressed out theentire time in a while, so it
was nice to say. The guyshave a nice lead for the majority of
the game, double digit lead forthe vast majority of both of those games,

(02:59):
really getting up by about twenty inboth the games. Let us slip
back a little bit, but wegot we got a big win in the
end in both those games. Doubledigit win. No, no, yeah,
no, no doubt about that. And some news from the weekend as
well, Blake Lapman was named theHorizon League Player of the Week, so
certainly his performances were big. Yeah. Give it up for Blake Lapman,
everybody. Yeah, he had fiftytwo points in those two games. Fifty

(03:20):
two point, Yeah, absolutely hedid. And you know you've seen this
and this really this really started totake shape, I think in the Milwaukee
game. But Blake, certainly youparlay that with Jack Goldkie as well,
and yeah, they're shooting the badThey're shooting the blood out of the ball,
as they say. Yeah, it'sgood to see those shooters out there.
I mean, Camp has been talkingabout it all year and we're finally

(03:42):
seeing that come to fruition here lately. All right, So you know,
now now that we got you here, Austin, wanted to just get your
perspective of Oakland basketball. And weknow there was two big wins this week.
But the Oakland basketball experience. Whatwhat keeps you come into every basketball
game? What what keeps you aGolden Grizzlies fan. Well, I've been
a fan ever since I started atOakland twenty thirteen season, right when we

(04:04):
joined the Horizon League, and everyteam has been exciting. It's just always
a blast to watch the games. As a student, I was in the
student section. I stayed there eventwo years after I graduated. All right,
so I was in the student sectionfor quite a while. But I've
transitioned over in just the regular seats, and it's still fun. A little

(04:28):
bit different now that I don't standup the entire game and constantly do the
chairs and still try to get myvoice heard. I'm sure some of the
players might hear me during the game, hopefully. I know the referees do.
I know that for a fact.Sometimes sometimes the opposing coach will He'll
catch me that eye like what areyou talking about? Yeah, but they'll
catch some too. Talking to Austinhere on the Greg Campy Show comes out

(04:50):
to every basketball game. Greg Campyfor those of you just joining us,
stranded on the side of the road, he ran out of Cass. It's
funny. Like that's I mean,come on, guys, that's funny.
That is funny. He has hehas help coming. And like I said,
the fans here have taken up acollection for camp to get gas.
Yeah. I think there's about fourbucks in there right now, give or

(05:12):
take a dollar, so that'll gethim a gallon and uh, you know,
get him get them back to thegas station at least. No.
But but Austin, I mean, you know, you said you came on
board as a student at Oakland rightwhen Oakland made the transition to the Horizon
League. But what's what's that beenlike for you? The Golden Grizzlies in
the Horizon League. It's I'm youknow, the Horizon League gets crazy every

(05:33):
year. You don't know who's gonnawin it. Whoever wins it in the
regular season probably isn't gonna win thetournament. That is true, for whatever
reason, not very often. Atleast hopefully we can break that trend this
year win both. That'd be anice little bonus to win both the regular
season and the tournament. We definitelywant to win that tournament this year.
Folks. You can get involved withthe show as well. With the hashtag

(05:56):
ask Campy on Twitter. Fire offthose questions. Camp somebody can't be representative
at the very minimum, will answerthose questions at some point here tonight,
but we collect those. So anythingthat you guys want to know about,
feel free to ask, And lateron in the show, if camp He
gets here, we will ask campIf not, we will ask some another
member of the Golden Grizzlies management staffas well. But remember too, The

(06:21):
Greg Campy Show featuring Austin is broughtto you by Henry Ford Sports Medicine,
the official team physicians for Oakley University, and you for more infos at Henry
Ford dot com backslash Athlete. Butagain, talking to Austin here, I
mean, I guess you know whenyou look at it and you've had the
opportunity, Austin, You've gone toa couple of different facilities in the horizon,

(06:42):
You've made the road trips as well, you've been through the battles.
Also, what have you noticed aboutthat, you know, like from a
facility standpoint, those types of things. Yeah, So, I mean one
of the nice things about Oakland iseven on a bad day, the place
is going to be more full thanthe majority of the Horizon League facilities across

(07:02):
the league are going to have sowe're we're always we have fans that come
out, whether we're having a badyear or not. Obviously it's nice when
we're filling the place up and it'sa completely packed house, but even on
a bad day, we're going tohave half that place filled up. So
it's always good to see just thefans apport. It's always louder in there.

(07:24):
Then you then you might see itcomparable schools, So that that is
the thing that really strikes me aboutbeing at games at the arena, just
the the noise factor and how loudthe crowd is, and you know,
the the participation from the crowd testbecause you don't get that in a lot
of the Horizon week I mean, these guys will tell you they have a
game or two every year where theyget the national TV, so then the

(07:46):
fans will come out for that game. At these other schools where they won't
they won't have that night in nightout. They'll have it one game where
it's like, oh we're playing thenumber one team, so maybe we'll come
out that night, but you're notgonna have it on a regular day no,
no question about that. What's yourwhat's your h what's your take on
this season? Obviously tied for firstplace we talked about it is the hottest,
one of the hottest basketball teams inthe country right now. It's February.

(08:09):
It's time to go, isn't it, Austin, It's time to go.
I mean, this team when they'rewhen they're playing their best, I
think they can beat any team inthis country, not the league, the
country. Put you on the spot, who's your favorite player? Oh that's
a tough one. Uh gook,I gotta look over there. I mean,
all four of them here tonight areare pretty good. Uh, just

(08:31):
say Blake. I mean, Imean, Blake's been here five years,
so it's been been seeing him fora long time. I know. I
like to talk to him every everysenior night, talk to him after everybody's
gone and we'll just sit down andtalk for a little while. So it's
always good to talk to Blake.Gonna be missing everybody when they leave,
though. Yeah, no, no, no question, no question about that.

(08:54):
You still didn't answer the question though, favorite right now? Favorite right
now? I don't know. ProbablyJack, he's got that smile. Yeah,
Hey, give Austin a lot ofcredit. There. We put him
on the spot. He answered,so you got to give Austin a lot
of credit. Okay, this weekand I'll talk more about these matchups coming

(09:15):
up this week. A huge, huge test, Austin. I know you'll
be listening to AM twelve seventy theBet, your radio home for Golden Grizzlies
basketball. You'll have it on TV. You'll mute the TV act be at
one of the games. Oh yeah, which one are you going to?
We're going to go State. Thereyou go, everybody, Austin's making the
road trip down to Wright State. But I know, I know on Thursday
you'll be listening to the Northern Kentuckygame right SYNCD up with the television.
A huge, huge three game stretchhere, Austin at Northern Kentucky, at

(09:39):
Wright State at Purdue Fort Wayne. This certainly is is the gauntlet part of
the schedule. There's a lot onthe line. How do you see it
shaken out? I mean, obviouslyI want us to win all three.
That'd be the best case scenario, thank you. Hopefully, hopefully we get
at least two of them. It'sgonna be a tough challenge. It's it's
always hard to go down to Daytonand Cincinnati there or the other side of

(10:03):
Cincinnati wherever Northern Kentucky actually is.It's actually Northern Kentucky Austin exactly. Yeah,
Yeah, it's hard to make thattrip though, So I don't I
don't know from a players perspective,but I know that that's always a struggle
for any team across the Hison Leagueto go in there and win those games.
Those are tough places to play, just like Wisconsin. So those are

(10:24):
probably the two toughest road trips inthe Horizon League. Yeah, Northern Kentucky
certainly they have they have a greatbuilding, top of the line facilities and
all that. It is a bigask. And then certainly you follow that
up with Wright State on just oneday off too, So it is a
huge, huge challenge, there isno question about that. But yes,
it is. It's one of thosethings where it is a very very difficult
road trip that you have to make, and certainly chase that with Purdue Fort

(10:46):
Wayne as well. They have theability to shoot your lights out at any
particular time. So it certainly isa huge, huge challenge. What else
you looking forward to Austin, Iknow, I know March is up here.
I know that school down the road'scoming in in the beginning of March.
What are you looking forward to?I'm looking forward to Indy. I

(11:07):
already booked a hotel room, sobetter go there this year and have some
success. So I'm looking forward tothat and hopefully making the big dance there.
He is, Austin's got the hotelbooked in everything, man, he
is certainly certainly ready to go.Well, Austin, you you did great,
Austin. Was this easier than youthought, harder than you thought?
It was just as easy because Igot a great host. That is true?

(11:28):
That is that is true? Hereman, here, man, you
take you take that, you know, thanks for sitting up here with me.
You take that little something for theeffort, Austin. I appreciate it.
No, man, you did great, Austin. It was a good
job done by you. And uh, well, maybe you know, maybe
next week if camp runs out ofgas again, we'll have a go to.
I might have to pop as tire. That could be the case.

(11:52):
All right, we'll take our firstbreak. When we come back, I'll
be joined by Chris Conway. We'relive at the Greg Campy Show without Greg

(14:07):
live at Our Jay's Pub in RochesterHills. My name is Neil Rule,
the voice of the Golden Grizzlies coachCampy. He ran out of cass on
the way here, so he's gettingthat taken care of. Right now,
he's angling to try to join usfor the second half of the of his
show. We'll see. But inthe meantime, big time Golden Grizzlies fan
Austin he stepped in, and ofcourse we knew that we were gonna be

(14:30):
joined by Chris Conway of the OaklandGolden Grizzlies big man extraordinariy kind enough to
take some time here this week onthe Greg camp Be Show. And and
Chris, i'd ask you how you'redoing. But as I've been saying,
you guys are one of the hottestteams in college basketball. I think you're
fine. Yta great right now?Very happy. Absolutely no. But Chris
again, thanks for thanks for joiningus here. And I want to pick

(14:52):
that up where Austin talked about ittoo. Two wins this weekend here at
the Old at the toughest time ofthe year to play college back. You
know you've been through the battles now, you know February how tough February can
be. But Austin brought up thefact, I mean, you guys were
able to get big leads in thesebasketball games. You were able to hold
onto them and then you were ableto close down, you know, just

(15:15):
close them down really on both sides. And certainly Cleveland State, it's a
team that's given us trouble throughout theyears. What was your perspective on the
two games this weekend. I thinkthey are both really good wins. I
think we were able to show thatnot every game has to be super close.
We can maintain the lead. Youknow, they made runs both teams,
but we were kind of able toweather the storm a little bit and
get them up to double digits. So I think overall, we just did

(15:39):
a really good job of maintaining thoseleads and then making sure that if they
made a run, we were kindof able to count. So good.
Yeah, and that's exactly what youguys were able to do. We talked
about it in the opening segment.Blank Lampton and named Horizon League Player of
the week. Kind of give usyour perspective on the run that Blake Lamptman
is on right now, because he'sout cold, as they say, and

(16:03):
that's my boy. He's playing greatright now. I know he's always been
capable of it. You know,he's been dealing with a lot of injuries
all season, so I knew whenhe was healthier, when he was able
to play, he would be playinglike this. So it's nothing that surprises
me. I know, the workthat he puts in in the offseason,
so it just makes sense that thisis happening right now. One of the
thing that strikes me about this basketballteam, Chris, and you're part of

(16:23):
this too, because it happens certainlyin the post teams. It looks like
teams have made their decision as faras Trey goes, and Trey gets doubled
before even steps in the building. When he gets off the bus and the
loading down, they double him thereand they never stop doubling him. But
the thing that's really interesting to meabout that, though, is is here's
Trey. You know, he's gotsuperstar status. Certainly in the Horizon League.

(16:45):
He's been there, he's done that. He's performed at such a high
level in many of the best buildingsin the country against the best teams.
A willing passer as a big andcertainly that's something that you are that's something
that he is as well. Talkabout that art form passing as a big
I think, you know, Iwould say it looks easy because you like

(17:07):
there's someone open, especially if you'regetting double. But Trede, for sure,
obviously is getting doubled every time downthe floor, and making a pass
out of a double is very hard, even if somebody's open. So I
definitely think that's an underrated part ofhis game for sure, is passing,
especially out of the double. AndI think even in when I have the
ball sometimes and I feel like Ineed to get it out somebody, it's
hard. It's something you definitely haveto work on. So Chris, I

(17:30):
did also want I wanted to talkabout you, and not necessarily like the
action on the court this weekend, just kind of your journey here since you've
came to Oakland. This is somethingyou and I have touched on in the
past. This will sound like anegative, but it is not. Coach
Campy said, you're a dying breedof college basketball player in that you show
up on the scene, you getyour work in, you kind of trust

(17:52):
what you're doing the playing time, maybe is it what you want it to
be? Right off the jump, ninety nine times out of one hundred.
Especially in today's day and age ofcollege basketball, you will see players say
I'm not getting what I want.I'm out like I'm out of here,
I'm going somewhere else. Why isit different for you, Chris? Why
have you stayed? Why have yougiven up summers going back home. You've
stayed here on campus throughout the summerto put in the work. Why is

(18:15):
it different for you? I justthink the coaching staff since I've been here
my freshman year, has invested inme as a player but also as a
person, and I know if Iwant somewhere else, I wouldn't necessarily get
that. These guys genuinely care aboutme. So I felt like three or
four years ago I made a commitmentto this team, and I felt like
I knew I could play here.It just will require some work. And

(18:37):
Chris, certainly, the way yourgame has developed this year as well,
your double digit guy per game.Certainly early in basketball games, we've seen
you be kind of a prime target. And every good basketball team that I've
seen throughout my time as a basketballfan, they seem to have that identity.
Do you feel like this team hasan identity where you're a guy,
they try to get you established, try to get traced, ablish almost play

(19:00):
inside out. Do you feel thatthis team has that identity. Yeah.
I think as a team we doa great job of playing inside it out.
I mean, we have inside threatsand we have outside threats. So
I think the biggest thing is startingout games trying to go inside, and
as the game goes on, alot of those shots are gonna come from
the outside because like you said, they're doubling tray or they're just packing it
inside. And then with people likeBlake and Jack on the outside, you

(19:22):
know, you can't regard that. So, Chris, have you ever ran
out of gas in your life duringthe time that that you that you've been
driving? No comment, because wehave practice tomorrow, so I don't want
to get in trouble. But I'vealmost run out of gas, I'd say,
but you've never actually ran out ofgas, especially right before your radio
show, never before my radio show, because you had gas to get here
today and you made it and you'rehere right now. This is true,

(19:44):
Okay. I just I have feltlike I had to ask that because that
that that is a that is atheme I've asked everybody this that that sat
down with us, and you know, whether it be Tray or or Burrew
Jack, whoever, Blake, anybodywho's who's been in this chair, what's
what's the ceiling of this basketball team? That's kind of an unfair question because
I don't want you to like puta label on it. I'm speaking about

(20:07):
more philosophically, what's the ceiling forthis basketball team? And the reason I
asked that, Chris, is becausewe've seen checkpoints throughout the year. We've
seen this team be able to growin the way that they win basketball games
one hundred and ninety five, fiftyeight to fifty five, how and everywhere
in between, different styles, comingback, certainly on the road, the
adversity of Milwaukee this weekend, shootingout to a lead, closing that lead

(20:30):
down. What's what's the ceiling forthis basketball team? Where can you guys
go? I'm realistic. I feellike there really is no ceiling. I
think obviously the goal is to winthe conference tournament. That's our next goal.
But once we get into the tournament, you know, you see these
teams that are good mid major teams, experienced teams that can go deep into
the tournament, so I wouldn't evenput a real label on it. I

(20:52):
think we can be any team inthe country if we're playing well, So
I would say there is no ceilingreally in retrospect. And obviously if Camp
we're here, he get mad atme, but he's not here because he's
ran out of gas on the sideof the road, so he's not here.
So I get to ask. Iget to ask what I want getting
to that tournament situation. The successthat you guys have had a win at
Xavier where nobody wins fifty to fiftygames at Illinois, at Ohio State,

(21:17):
those types of things. Do thosethings do you draw back on those throughout
the course of a season or isit just we're done with that, we
move on. I think at thispoint in the season we're not thinking about
it too much just because of theseconference teams. But when we get to
the point where if we're making thetournament, that's definitely something we're thinking about.
Because some of those teams are toptwenty five teams and we played them
really close at their place, soI feel like at a neutral site we

(21:40):
definitely have a shot at them.So joined by Chris Conway here on the
Greg Campy Show. We're live atOur J's Pub in Rochester Hills. And
remember the Greg Can't Be Show broughtto you by Memic Insurance to the Pino
Insurance Agency. The Pino Insurance AgencyLLC of Memic Insurance. They cater to
the educational market. If you're lookingfor affordable insurance and a knowledgeable insurance agency,
go online to Pinoinsurance dot com today. That's p I n O Insurance

(22:03):
dot Com Today, Chris, Iwant to talk about the big man in
the big man's role in college basketballbecause it's changed, and we've seen a
bit of a fundamental shift in collegebasketball where it's become more about give me
five athletes and throw them on onthe floor and I'll figure it out and
we'll go from there. You area bit of a throwback player, You're
you're you're a post guy. Nowyou've shown some stretch certainly, which we'll

(22:26):
touch on in just a couple ofminutes. What about the big man's role
in college basketball today? I thinkyou see a lot more diversity in their
game, both offensively and defensively.I think in college you'll see like six
seven, six eight, guys playingcenter, because like you said, there
are a lot of athletes out thereand they kind of just figure it out.
But I definitely think there's a placefor a traditional big man. I

(22:48):
mean Trey obviously is not a traditionalbig man, but he fits that mold.
He does. Yeah, And whenyou have somebody who's dominant inside,
that just opens up everything outside. So it's definitely still valuable. Now,
I know it's been on you andand you've put the work in and things
like that, and you've you've alwaysshown a tremendous set of skills. You
you've always kind of had I'm gonnacall it like a eurobig man skill set,

(23:10):
but you have those eurofacets to yourgame. You can you can step
out very comfortably even behind the threepoint line. I know you've told me
before like the percentage this years andwhat you want it to be. But
you know you continue to work onthat. But I mean you you are
you are more than capable. AndI think while we don't see it a
lot, obviously you want to bea professional basketball player. That's where you

(23:30):
want to end up in the pros. We see a lot of that pick
and pop and pick and roll andthose kinds of things, You're more than
capable, I definitely think so.I mean offensively with the pick and roll,
pick and pop, that's obviously hugeover in Europe and just overseas basketball
in general. So I feel like, especially in the off season, that's
something I'm trying to work on andstay sharp on because in the future that

(23:52):
would definitely be important. So tellwith Chris Conway here on the Greg Campy
Show, I haven't asked anybody thisnow. I was meaning to, and
I forgot who's the who's the biggestclown on the team? Who's the one
that is just acting the fool allthe time and about the jokes and everything
like that all the time. Ifeel like everyone on the team is funny,
we're all messing around. We werea really close team. But I'd

(24:14):
definitely give it to Banks, justbecause he's the freshman. You know,
he's always saying really stupid stuff becausehe's eighteen years old. So I would
definitely give that one of the bests. Okay, this week, as we
were talking about earlier this trip atNorthern Kentucky at Wright State. In the
next week at Purdue Fort Wayne,You've been around the block certainly in this

(24:36):
league. Talk about this trip toNorthern Kentucky in Wright State, and I
know the answer the answers because theyhave really really good players, Neil,
duh. But other than that,Chris, why is this portion of the
trip such a challenge? I thinkobviously, like you said, they have
really good players, but the environmenttoo. I mean, they have dedicated
fans just like we do. Soit's definitely a toxic environment to play in.

(24:57):
But also the time of year itis right now, it's February.
You know you're trying not to lookforward to the tournament, but you've been
playing for a while. Yeah,so you kind of just gotta really lock
in on this road trip, particularlybecause they always have really good teams and
the crowd's always really good. Soand that the crowd I think toxic.
You use the word toxic certainly atNorthern Kentucky. I've been there many many

(25:21):
times. It can they can be. I mean they get India, they
get Anya, they bring up personalstuff, it doesn't matter. Are they
the most hostile crowd in the HorizonLeague probably, I'd say so, yeah
they are. Let's just leave itat that. No, I get it.
No, certainly, certainly I doget it, and then Wright State
as well. This will be somethingI think after we get through the Northern

(25:42):
Kentucky game, which I know yourmind's just on Northern Kentucky. But you
know, at the same time, you guys know what the stakes are.
You guys know what's in the middleof the table right now. If you
guys are able to have a successfulroad trip here, you guys are right
in position. And you know whatI mean when I say that, Yeah,
huge. This road trip is definitelythe hardest road trip, and winning

(26:03):
these games would be huge. Sowe're really just trying to lock in one
game at a time, take itone game at a time, and just
kind of go from there. Allright, Chris, I know you're a
big burger guy, Like burgers isyour thing. You have? You had
the burger here at r J Spot. I've had it many times. Yeah,
it's very good. I'll give itan eight or nine out of ten.
I'd say it's good. All right, what's your what's your cooking skill
set? Like just burgers? Whatdo you do? I'll make chicken,

(26:27):
beef, rice, pasta. That'spretty much it. That's my wheelhouse right
now. But I'll probably expand aftercollege. I still got the cafeteria,
so I can go there. Who'swho's the best cook on the team.
I'm gonna give that one a Jackprobably, or you say Brew, maybe
Brew? Yeah, I think it'sJack, though, I'll give it to
Jack. Does does Brew give theAustralian dishes and stuff like that? Or

(26:49):
he hasn't given me anything, Sothat'd be nice if I could get an
Australian dish. But I don't knowthat was the thing. But well,
I mean, you know, bornin Australia and Fiji, you know,
you think you'd have some flare thekitchen. We'll see, maybe he'll give
me something. Now, we'll seehe's got he's got to be feeling some
he's got to be feeling some pressureabout that. Well, Chris, certainly,

(27:11):
Man, appreciate you coming through, big fan of yours. Man appreciate
obviously an awesome guy and looking forwardto the games this weekend. Thank you,
appreciate you absolutely giving up to ChrisComway everybody here on the Greg Campy

It is a Greg Campy show.My name is Neil Rule, the voice
of the Golden Grizzlies. No GregCampy, though he actually yeah, give

(30:07):
it up, give it up.Greg. Coach Campy ran out of gas
on the way here to the show, so he's working to get that handled.
We do have a collection cup herefor gas money for Coach Campy.
There's probably about five or six bucksin there right now. People are dropping
change in there. I like it. Our next guest host, I guess
you could say, would probably bemore likely to drop some bitcoin in there

(30:30):
or etherum or something like that thanhe would actual cash. He is Colin
Shannon, the director of operations formen's basketball. I haven't heard. Yeah,
absolutely, well, thanks for beingavailable. You've heard some discussions we've
had in the past, and I'mgonna tell you guys this right now.
What is the ask Campy part? But if you're listening and you have a
question about uniform shoes, travel gear, hotels, food on the road anything

(30:53):
like that. Fire off those questions. We could be here for a while.
It's always a popular segment when wetalked to Colin about gear column.
How you doing, man, I'mdoing pretty good. You know, a
little bit nervous. I didn't thinkI was being thrown in here tonight.
But I'm ready to go. That'sactually in the contract when I signed it
for a dobo, you'd to filmfor Campy on the radio show if you

(31:14):
move. It's in very very fineprint. He runs out of gas a
lot, so you had to hadto put that in the contract. Absolutely,
but look at that asking you shallreceive you comfortable with? That got
some people got uniform questions shoe questions. All right, I'll address the elephant
in the room that that is adiscussion point on this show every single week
with some of the fans. Peoplewant to talk about the yellow shoes.

(31:36):
I e. DQ Cole's yellow shoesin that when he wears the yellow shoes
he's Kobe and you know that's thatseems to be the story. People have
noticed that you have anything, anyinsight to offer on DQ Cole in his
yellow shoes. Yeah, so everyweek people talk to me about this yellow
shoes, and so I went upto DQ and I asked him, is

(31:56):
there a reason you switched the shoes? Do you feel like you play better
in them? And he had noidea what I was talking about. He
didn't realize there's a pattern. Idon't even know if he knows he really
he changes them or not. Butbasically, you know, he says,
the yellow ones the blue ones, which you know neither are really are colors.
But in the past few years CAMPhe has really loosened what you can

(32:16):
wear for shoes. He talks aboutlike when he was D two, every
single player on a team the exactsame shoes, and then up until about
three years ago you could only choosethings or oapen colors. And then maybe
about two years ago, he cameto the locker room and he said,
if I can see Steph Curry becomean MVP wearing whatever hell shoes he wears,
you guys can wear what you want. Why am I fighting that battle?

(32:37):
And so now DQ can switch shoesmid game. But I think if
you did that in two thousand andseven, you've been throwing out of the
general probably talking to college in andhere get those questions in we have some
from the people. Griff, Griffand Beers ask Campy, which means ask
Colin here, what's the best hotelin the Horizon League. So Griffin asked

(32:59):
this question because he wants me tosay the Cincinnati Marriotte River Center. And
so that's our hotel that's coming uphere. We leave on Wednesday. So
Griffin was a manager for us,and he absolutely loves that hotel and so,
and what the bad part is though, is that we're gonna be going
to our worst hotel right afterwards inDayton. And you were with me there

(33:20):
on a trip, and you sawwe were in Dayton when we played Dayton,
and we weren't at a great hoteland we weren't necessarily the one that
camp you wanted to stay at.He wasn't super happy with me because we
were far away, because we werecloser to Wright State when we played Dayton.
He said, why we do that? It was helping do the prices
and everything that, but now itgot flipped and now we're close to Dayton
but far away from Wright State thehotel you wanted to stay up before.

(33:43):
And I told him, and hewasn't happy with me, But I know
he forgot. So we pull upthere, it's gonna be revisited. Yeah,
so I'm ready for it, thoughyou are. What's that pressure cooker
like? But I always wanted toask you this. What's that when we
get off the plane somewhere you know, we're out Boise or somewhere like that.
When we get off the plane, all eyes turned to you to wear

(34:04):
twenty four people in the travel party, I don't know where I'm going.
I just follow the guy in frontof me. What's it like being the
guy in the front of everybody?Everyone's just looking to you all the time.
If the bus is thirty seconds late, if anything goes wrong, if
bags don't show up, which obviouslyhave no control over put it's your fault.
Yeah. So I went to thedentist recently and I had a stress
induced grinding ug your teeth. Yeah, that's pretty new. And so that's

(34:29):
the answer to that question. Youjust grubbed your teeth. Okay, No,
it's like yeah, but I wouldsay about it like they're stressful.
But I've seen Campy, you know, operate for six years before I got
this job, and so it doesn'tbother me as much. I think other
people would where if Campy snaps inme, it's literally I've seen him go
crazy on players in the middle ofthe game and he forgets about two seconds

(34:50):
later. So I know if anybody'sif he's ever upset me, he forgets
about it in five minutes. Andso I don't really internalize any of that
because you can't tell me about Colinshan here direct of operations. You're on
the Greg Campy Show. Camp ranout of gas, so he's he's not
here. I'm sorry, I'm gonnalaugh at that every single time, every
single time. Jimmy Kennedy, misterKennedy, when it comes to preparing for

(35:15):
tournaments going into a season, whatfactors as a team way in to determine
what tournaments you know, I wouldassume the exect tournaments that he's referring to,
what factors go into that. Iknow this probably is more of a
question for Campy, but you're onthe operation side of it. Yeah.
And so the MTS and especially recentlylike we decided to go to the Caymans
because there isis in league has initiativewhere they're trying to make the league better

(35:37):
because the league has been falling recently. And actually this year it's been a
lot better. And so by doingthat, they're trying to change the way
teams schedule, and so they playedbetter teams more often. And so to
reach what they wanted us to playas many Quad one or Quad two games,
we had to go to the Caymansbecause that's where the good teams go.
The good teams don't go to DustinFlorida, they go to the Cayman

(36:00):
Islands, they go to Bahamas. And so we went to the Caymans to
play those games, and you know, and you enjoyed it, Like it's
fun to go to the Caymans. That's the perk too, but it's more
about trying to get Quad two games. Well I like the results too,
I mean, you know it wasit was a very very good tournament for
Oakland that win over Loyal and Mirimount, who was a top one hundred team.
I mean that those were very verybig. Yeah, And so,

(36:22):
like the ideal scenario would be yougo to an MPT that you can get
good games and they give you acheck like of one of our by games
you play, but those are hardto come by, and so Campy is
all the time looking through his schedules, trying to find good empts to go
to where we don't spend too muchmoney to go to, but we still
get the games you want. Igot a text here. I won't say

(36:43):
from who, but they he justcame up with a very very good idea.
I want to see what the peoplethink of this. I think we
should put everyone here's dinner on onebill and deliver it to Campy he said.
He said Madonna would do it forher fans. He's got the money.
I agree, Hey, how muchyou got right here? There's about
six bucks in there right now inthe gas fun talking to Colin Shannon here,

(37:07):
director of operations for the Golden Grizzliesand men's basketball team MD FUND eighty
nine. Who's in the crowd heretonight. Black uniforms at home, So
I think we are considering doing thatfor our final game for Detroit because it's
a blackout. But the real thingis is that we have to wear our
gray jerseys at home at some point. And so we've had great jerseys the

(37:28):
first time in like four years. And that's because Trey Townson's over there wanted
great jerseys. So his wish isour command. But it turns out the
rest of the team does not likegreat jerseys, and so we're having a
hard time finding games to wear them. I like him personally, can't he
likes them, but we're trying tomix in games and sometimes the gray clashes

(37:50):
with the teams will playing on theroad, and so we're trying to find
a good home game to wear those. So I don't know if we're gonna
get that many more black on thehome but look out. I know you
said you hated gray, but sorry, people wanted He wanted to know too.
Pioneer throwbacks perhaps that the future.Yeah, what what's that process like
to do? Like a Pioneer throwbackuniform? So Nike gives us the jerseys

(38:15):
plank like when they're not gonna puta name on there or a logo because
and the person making it overseas isnot They're not gonna tell that guy,
hey, put lampman on the backof this jersey, and so all that
stuff. We get it here, done here, And so we could do
I could get a because there aremore they were more of a yellowish gold,
right Pioneers, So you get thatyellowish gold, and then I could

(38:36):
bring it somewhere and they put thelogo on there, so it wouldn't be
too hard. But the question theproblem is is money, right, are
you gonna spend two thousand dollars threethousand dollars in said jerseys that you're only
wear a couple times to throwback becauseyou can't make the Pioneer very often because
our logo is the Grizzly. Sothere you have it. There's the answer
to that. Hey, I justfind that that's helpful though, because people

(38:57):
get the dollars in the cents byhind that one. Giovanni wants to know
best food meal you're looking forward toon this road trip. On this road
trip you but see like good toyou is different than probably good to tray
or good to me or something likethat, because you have different goals.
Yeah, that's very true. Themeals that go quickly, hotel meals,

(39:19):
those are my favorite, as youshow up and it's done, you know.
But I'm thinking the hotel meal,Like we said, the hotel we're
going to Cincinnati, Marriott, that'sthe best hotel you go to. The
food's fantastic. Yes, I'm worriedabout the pregame meal, subway and Dayton.
Uh, subways not always reliable, but we'll do our best. Yeah,
yeah, we certainly. I knowI saw raising canes on the menu.

(39:43):
It was that this trip. No, I think you're mistaking Amy.
It's that's a good guest though it'susually raising usually raising canes. Is it
might be you know, I don'tknow. Like I said Colin, I
show up and follow the person infront of me. That that's literally every
everything that I do. I don'tI don't know what's going on. I
don't pretend to know what's going on, and none of them. And it's
funny because I just follow my itinerarywhere I have to do all this stuff

(40:07):
months ahead of time or it's toolate to do it now. And so
I make these decisions three months ago, and I look at him like,
man, why did I make thatdecision? Then I guess I'm living by
this, and so like I justfollow that. You know some of the
other stuff too. I think thatthat people have asked me about, you
know, just just in terms ofthat shoes. As a matter of fact,

(40:30):
how are shoes determined for players? So Nike gives us sixty shoes in
our contract, and so we havefifteen players, sixty five of fifteen is
four, so each guys get fourshoes. And so it's pretty simple there.
And like you said before, itwill used to be you get to
choose you this shoe or this shoein this car, this color. Now
it's there's ten shoes Nike gives usand there's thirty colors and they can choose

(40:52):
shot know a those color ways.Okay, So it's kind of one of
those things that everybody can do,kind of the individual because I did notice
that too, like everybody's kind ofrocking something different. But you you you
addressed that before. Basketballs, everyevery gym, not every single gym,
but a lot of the gyms wego to, everybody uses different basketball.
Is that shoe contract affiliated? Howdoes that work? Yeah? And so

(41:14):
you can have whatever basketball you want. Like as you say, we go
to Nike schools that have the WilsonEvo and the reason they do that is
because the NCAA tournament uses the WilsonEvo. So a lot of people think,
hey, we'll use the same exactball that they have nca Tournament in
case we make it. Our guysused to shooting it and so actually now
is the first year the Rising Leaguemoved to Wilson EUO. So I wouldn't
be surprised if camp he makes thatdecision to change over to that, because

(41:36):
that's our most important thing, theRising Tournament. But we get our balls
through Nike, and they are hardto come by, and so we sometimes
we get bath taken, you know, and we so we change the locks
and the codes and everything. Andthe biggest thing is even by the money,
I'm not worse, it's the availabilityof I don't know when Nike's gonna
send me another one, and sosomeone steals ourselves. It's like try,

(41:59):
like haken like I'm trying to figureit out. I'm trying to track them
down, get it back, hiringp I s and whatnot. Uh.
Some people also asked on Twitter too, with the hashtag ask campaig if you've
got some questions, fire them away, because we're talking about it. All
that stuff that you thought that youknow, you wanted to ask about how
it works. Everything like that abig topic of discussion to the Blacktop barber

(42:22):
Shop on on Saturday. The viralclip the swim and Dive team shaving heads
while the visiting team is shooting freethrows three four million views on on social
media. Where do we go fromhere? And how do you how do
you top that? Colin? Ithink you have to shave the head of
the announcer during the during the rocksit is. I think that's the only

(42:43):
way. I don't think Susie Merchantis gonna go for that. Would would
would you do it for a championship? Though? I would do I would
do a championship. I know youwould hard hard Yes, yeah, absolutely,
I would do it. I wouldcertainly certainly do it for a championship.
Talking to here on the Greg CampyShow. The other questions that are

(43:04):
on here, like they're asking aboutgame contracts and stuff like that. That's
above your weight class, right,Like I see them all, but there's
not that comple It just can't bein an the other head coaches, they
decide how many years they want todo it for, and people know about
the Michigan swhere to me and Iget insurance, people don't know about the
Michigan State game. Yeah, Imean can't be working out at least all
the Big Ten is now having fewerh fewer games than we anticipated, so

(43:30):
that's good for us. But you'restill at the aas to Michigan State,
like they're gonna decide first what theyneed to do and then they'll decide on
us. We're not top priority forthem, and next in next year's games
that little Caesars Arena. Correct,Yeah, and that is that's the final
year of the contract them. Hopefullycamp you'll get a renewed on that.
Absolutely anything else you got for thefans, Colin, you got any questions

(43:52):
for me? I've asked you.I've asked you the questions. Anything else?
What am I? What am Imissing here? What? What do
you think the people want to knowthat I'm missing? Man, that's a
tough question I heard from you.I spot like that. Do they try
the season fries? Yeah? Soundthat we do that. That is a
running thing. I think everybody herehas tried the season fries. Yeah,
let's try the season fries at somepoint. All right, let's do this,

My name is Neil Rule, thevoice of the Golden Grizzlies, playing
the part of Greg Campy. Hehas Colin Shannon, the director of operations
for Men's Bad. Give it upto Colin. Everybody stepping in making it

(46:50):
go. A big shout out toColin for doing that. Remember, the
Greg Campy Show is brought to youby Prairie Farm celebrating eighty five years of
feeding America's flies. All right,Colin, upcoming road trip, you're you're
part of, it's covered. Weknow how we're gonna get there, we
know where we're gonna stay, weknow where we're gonna eat. But obviously
you know you're you're there and everythinglike that. So I think you can

(47:12):
speak to this the probably the biggestroad trip of the year, A because
it's the next one, but Bwe know what the stakes are here,
Colin. These are these are huge, huge basketball games. This is college
basketball in February. Yep. Imean I've worked at Oakland for eight years
and every single year right Stay orNorthern Kentucky, he'sier won the league or
on d En State tournament. Likethis is the the road trip. These

(47:36):
are the teams that you go throughthat if you want to win the league,
it's through Northern Kentucky and Wright State, and so it's gonna be huge
and Northern Kentucky is they've lost acouple in a row, but they're still
just right below us and Right Stay, I mean we lose too, and
Right State wins two there in firstplace, so this is we're playing for
first place there. And that wasthe thing that really jumped out to me
when I was looking at the standingsafter the games on Sunday. I kind

(47:58):
of I drew that conclusion too.I was like, Right State, here
they come. Man, they it'salways like that for them. You know
that they're gonna make a push. But getting back to the Northern Kentucky thing,
do you like to do you liketo see that? Do you like
to see a team maybe lose agame or two before they play you,
or do you want them feeling goodabout themselves. I'm always interested in that
dynamic. So I like them losingif it means they're not very good.

(48:19):
But I don't think I think Nordon'sCucky's good, So I, like you
said, I don't want them tobe pissed off or wanting them be back
against the wall. They know theyhave to win this game, which they
do. They know they have towin this game if they want to be
a top four seed. So thatis worrying. But I think part of
it is they're trying to adjust.I mean, they lost Sam Vincent,
who's their second best player, rightand Cad Meyer was at their backup center.

(48:40):
He just quit like last week,so they've been they've lost two games
without them, and so they're reallyshallow right now, and so they're struggling.
But when you have Marki's Warwick, who's one of the best players in
the league every twenty points a game, right, and they play the best
they're the best defensive team in theleague for last since Darrean Horn's got there,
and that they run that matchup zoneand the best defensive team in the

(49:01):
league is not gonna be easy towin, no no, no question.
And the certainly you chase that tothe quick turnaround. You know, you're
basically you're playing two games in fortyeight hours, Northern Kentucky, as we
said, and then Wright State. And you know what comes with that.
When you play Wright State, there'sgonna be a ton of possessions, the

(49:22):
game's gonna go. They're gonna belooking to push the pace because it's what
they do. It's what Scott andAggy's done since he's been at since he
was at South Dakota State and Oaklhamwas playing them in the Summit League tournament
and the games were one to tento ninety. Do you how do you
balance that? And just in termsof pace, right, we know what
we want to do. It's prettyapparent what Oakland would like to do in

(49:43):
those scenarios. What about that tugof war for pace of the basketball game?
Because you'll see pace of a gamechange six seven times throughout the course
of a basketball game. How doyou fight that battle? Yeah, I
don't even think it's necessarily like Camp'sgonna try to make us play slow.
I think it's more like you talkedabout Chris, like identity is playing inside
out, and so by chance, not by chance, but by how you

(50:07):
playing inside out is usually slower. And so when you throw in a tray
and then he has to kick itout or he goes and scores, it
takes It takes time. And soit's not about us trying to slow down
Right State necessarily or us play slower, just we have to play through our
identity, which is inside and out. And so if we don't do that,
we're gonna be in trouble. Soif we get in a running game
and we start jacking transition threes, right, State's probably better than us at

(50:30):
that. But that's something too,I think we haven't we haven't seen this
Oakland team do that. They've beenvery disciplined in the way that they play,
and they know how they play it. And I talked about it with
Chris too. I said, everybodykind of understands the identity and through that,
they understand the role that they play. And look, we know that

(50:51):
you're this Oakland team is very verygood when Trey Townsen gets twenty five points.
I mean, every team's good whentheir guy gets twenty five points.
But at the same way, God, what is it about this team this
year? Colin? Because I've seensuch versatility with this Oakland team, maybe
in comparison to years past it andlook, years past that was the identity
to go out there and score abunch of points, bunch of possessions all

(51:13):
that way. Why can this team, this Oakland team be able to do
it any way you want to doit? Well, I think it's because
we're old and we're deep. WhereGreg Campy teams in the last few years
have been super top heavy. Right, We've had like two of the five
best players in the league for thelast three or four years, but we
weren't necessarily as deep. But nowbecause we had, we brought seniors.
I mean, I like our topeight, five of them are either regular

(51:35):
seniors or their COVID seniors. That'ssuper. We've started a lineup of five
people who are either regular seniors orCOVID seniors. That's and there's not many
teams in the country who are likethat. And then even like you're the
rest of the guys, a lotof most of our juniors, like we
were not playing any freshmen, andso when you have that much depth,
it's about who's hot that night, you know, And these guys are all

(51:58):
their team players, like they're Wehave a group of guys who are more
connected then I think I've seen anywhereon our team since I've been here.
And so when you play like that, when you got old, you got
talent, you can win multiple ways. Which is interesting to meet Colin,
because that's not what I was told, right. I was told, Well,
we get into this name image andlikeness era and transfer era, and

(52:19):
teams shift on the fly, andyou're dropping a new personnel every single season.
How are these teams going to getchemistry? How are these teams going
to be able to gel? Andyet the example of this year's team runs
one's contrary to that. Yeah, and I think it's because you look at
the core of our team, theguys who've been around Tred Townsend, Chris
Conway, like Laman and so ifyou don't have and like everyone else,

(52:43):
Jack's coming in and Brew being superhelpful and DQ. But if you don't
have the core that's been here foryears, like then you don't have the
people anchoring the zone. You don'thave the people in the locker room keeping
the culture, and so, likeI agree with you. If you don't
have, you know, a corelike that, guys are gonna lead your
team. You're gonna have those problemsthat you said. But we had those

(53:05):
guys and then we added through theportal and so it puts us in a
good spot. Your perspective from thebench, we talked about Blake Lamman being
the Horizon League Player of the Weekthis week, and really things are really
clicking for Blake right now. Andif I could tell this story to the
people out there, because I've talkedabout it on air, but really going
in depth what it takes Blake toget out there on the floor. I

(53:29):
don't think people have a full graspof. I mean the treatment that he
goes through every single day. Andthen by the way, like we practice
and we travel and even when we'reon the road, I see him in
the gym all the time, inthe hotel gym, like putting in his
own work and everything that he's gotto do. Can you paint that picture
for the what Blake Laman has todo to get on the floor on a

(53:50):
day to day basis. I mean, it's amazing what Blake where Blake came
from when he first got here,I mean he had zero offers, zero
Scotshap offers. Right, he wasa sign between US and Division three Albion.
There's no not a scholarship, whichnow to be I think he's a
ten top ten fifteen player in theleague and there's probably not any other player
in our league that starts who camefrom stuffing like that, and so to

(54:13):
build himself up like that is unbelievable. And that's that same thing he said.
Now he's dealing through injuries and he'sstill being on the floor. That's
where he's had that work ethic. But now it's transitioned to keeping his body
right. I mean, he hastwo different things where he could have season
ending injury on it, season endingsurgery on it right now. Yeah,
and he's still and you know, you could never he's playing thirty five three
seven minutes a game. You wouldnever know if unless someone told you.

(54:36):
We didn't know. I mean amonth ago we thought he was gonna be
shut down and he was done. And now he's prisingly Player of the Week
and so it's really amazing. Imean if you look at pictures of him
too when he was a freshman, like he has grown up, and that's
what I mean. Guys like BlakeLamma's at college basketball is about more lucky
to have him. Yeah, No, he's got like he's got Jack Goldkie
arms now, like he's all, well, you know they're in that family.

(54:59):
You know they're not there, butthey're certainly you've never seen Jack oliking
the way around. Yeah, andthen certainly too. I'll get into it
more with Camp next Monday on theshow, if he doesn't run out of
gas on the side of the highwayor maybe we'll be talking about it again.
I don't know, but as wewere discussing three, the toughest road
portion of the schedule by far,Northern Kentucky, right state, and then

(55:21):
by the way, Perdue Fort Wayneas well, and everybody here knows what
happened when Perdue Fort Wayne came hereto the arena. And look, they're
a team Colin that you know, they shoot a ton of three, So
you're gonna have volatility with them inthroughout a season. But you can't let
it be you as you guys wereable to kind of look at the film

(55:43):
and I'm not asking to give awaygame plans or anything like that. I'm
just kind of asking more from aprincipal perspective, what do you guys have
to do Because it's not going tobe None of these games are going to
be You're not winning any of thesegames by fifteen points. That's the nature,
that's the nature of the Beast. What do you guys have to do,
even looking forward to against Purdue FortWayne, to to kind of limit
the damage from them? I mean, for them it's one hundred percent.

(56:05):
Can you limit the man threes theytake? And can you stop them offensive
rebounding and that's something, and that'sthey've been a bad matchup for us because
in a zone, it's hard,it's you give up more threes attend to
But that's why the zone is great. When you play Young Sounn, we're
a great matchup for him, butYoung proofer a way and they spread it
out and they hit those threes. And so it's really just about playing the
zone a little bit differently, wherewe're really getting out of shooters more than

(56:25):
we are to trying to stop peoplegain the rim because they don't want to
do that. They want to spreadout, spread us out and shoot it.
And so it's a mindset change.Everyone's so used to getting cutters and
getting stopping drivers, but it's aboutstopping those three point shooters. I have
to ask you this. I askedChris this. Have you ever ran out
of gas? Now you have anelectric there you go, Yeah, I'm
an electric cars. Have you everran out of juice? I've come close

(56:47):
because I'm someone like I think Iwork well camp because I think we're birds
of a feather a little bit andstuff like that, and so, but
I have come very close. ButI'm lucky that, uh, there's electric
chargers at Oakland. So every timeI'm like this close, I'm like,
oh, thank god, I'm rightthere at Oakland. Let me pull in
Monday. I didn't think I wasgonna make it. You start like doing
the like whole like seeing how muchyou can roll without touching the pedal,

(57:08):
and it's a field game. Yeah, but I think this is probably when
camp be shoot electric car. Now. I think it's time transition. There
you go. And that's another thingtoo. You know, when when you
talk about the virtues of Oakland University, if you have an EV very EV
friendly campus as well, So ifyou're if you're making the decision on where
you're gonna go to school and youhave an EV there is no decision exactly

(57:30):
exactly. I can never leave now. It's like I was on a plass.
I can charge my car absolutely.Final couple minutes of the show,
Colin Shannon, director of operations herefor Golden Grizzlies men's basketball, kind enough
to step in for head coach GregCampy. If camp doesn't get here,
what are we gonna do with thisgas money? There's about six dollars,

(57:51):
uh that's in this right here. What are we gonna do? What kind
of bourbon they have. Well,we can we can find out I guess
yeah, we can. We canabsolutely find out how many how many hours
would that charge the EV for Maybewe could tell camp be that this is
a full charge right here. That'sthat's the whole point of the v And
then and then some certainly and thensome no. But but Colin this team
this year and uh it's February now, man like, like this is you

(58:15):
and I, Uh, Colin ismy roommate on the road too, so
so there's kind of some some rapportthere. But we do talk about this
too in the final minute of theshow. This is February. This is
why you do this job, right, This is the best yep. I
mean, it's just it's college basketball. The only reason you put yourself through
all this. You know, youdon't make the most money, you don't

(58:36):
have the best hours. You doit for this because you dream. When
you were a little kid, youdreamed of being on that sideline. And
sometimes when this job is tough, like we were at like Syracuse a couple
years ago, and my mind wasblown. If I would know and that
I've been sitting at the Syracuse sideline, I was ten years old. I
would have killed somebody to get thatspot. Yep. And so now here
we are about to play. Youknow, it's February, they come down.

(58:57):
But that's March madness, and that'swhy why we're here. That's absolutely
that is exactly why we are here, and that was why we were here
tonight for the Greg Campy Show.Camp. We'll be back next Monday,
I assume, but in the meantime, thanks everybody for coming out here to
RJ's Pub and Rochester Hills for theGreg Campy Show Live at Our Jay's Pub.
Thanks for listening everybody. Well, see you later.
