(00:00):
G biz Man hold it down forthe Sign of G Morning Show. In
this episode of The Sign of Cast, I'm blessed to have one of the
funniest men, I'm gonna say,in the world, not just in the
US, because every time I seethis brother alive, he slays. Any
time I've seen him on any typeof stand up on TV movies, you
continue to rock. I mean Ieven saw a little bit of his range
in his last season to BMF.Let's go ahead, man and show some

(00:23):
love to the good brother. DanielRollins. I'm rich. I won't say,
but you know what's going on withyou? Man, I'm chilling man
out here trying to let people know, anybody to watch BMF understand this.
I am not the pump to thebaby out that's acting. Yeah, that's
acting all right, And I knowyou It sounded like in your tone used

(00:44):
like why you let him do likethat? Run? I was like,
why they keep doing my guy likethat? Bro? I was like,
you're the only person in helping thisfool lamar and every time he get a
chance to down you, he's justgo ahead and put your face in the
dirt. Yo. There's one TikTokdude. He had a funny post.
He put it up there. Hewas like, yo, I'm sick of
as Lamark. I mean he said, I feel sorry for you. He

(01:07):
said, Yo. Man, everytime he says say something else, you
never say something else. Right. It was so funny. But that was
a good opportunity for me. Man. I did last season, the last
episode, the finale, and RandyHuggins and Toosha Smith and those people,
they liked the character and they itstarted as two scenes, and I mean
two episodes, and they broke meinto like pretty much ninety nine percent of

(01:30):
the season and people get to seeme show little range from stand up to
acting right. Right, Like Isaid, Man, I think I feel
like it might have been, ifnot, if not one of definitely the
probably I say, most serious roleI've seen you play. Man. You
know, yeah, I played alittle well you know what all my roles,
Yeah, you know what, that'strue. A lot of times I

(01:52):
do stuff. It's a serious rolewith a funny undertone, right, and
well, Scott didn't have so muchof a funny owners undertone, but it
was just in funny situations that madeit funny. But you know, I
probed myself. I'm being a greatstand up, a distant actor. And
every time I get an opportunity,Like I told him the other day,
I said, I'm had an actor, actor actor actor. I just act
when they let me act, youknow. But every time I'm lucky enough

(02:14):
to get some good stuff and peoplesee me in a different light. Yeah,
man, definitely, like I said, it was, it was.
It was good to see you kindof take on that that different type of
type of dynamic. Man. Ithought it was really interesting. And I
think you did a wonderful job.Man, you know what I'm talking about.
And you you had, you hada couple of licks you got in
there. You feel me in youdidn't shut up every time he told you
you don't say something else. Iremember you hit you had to hit my
man off of it. Well, she's a dead bitch now. That definitely

(02:38):
good. But I will say Idon't want to spoil it for anybody that
hasn't watched it. The last thelast episode, I will say I got
him back like I got him back. Definitely definitely saw that, man.
So tell us more about these showsyou got coming up in the bay.
Man. I know you said youcoming out here to Timmy Teas. Right,
yeah, Timmy Teas, I haven'tbeen there, I think since the
pandemic. It's like, well,I've been going to tim of years.

(03:00):
Always a good turnout. The crowdis the awesome, the staff is awesome.
You know. Tommy Tees has probablylike thirty years of history. It's
been around forever. And then theyonly they don't mess with just anybody.
They do pride yourself on bringing somethingthe funniest comics. So I'm gonna go
stay consistent with their roster. Again, I haven't been out there, Tommy
Teas. I've been out there.Baby, get a concert with somebody like

(03:22):
fifteen and twenty minutes. But I'mexcited people get to see this new hour
and I'm ready. I'm ready tobring some fire. That's what's up.
Man. Yeah, definitely definitely excitedevery time you hit the stage. Man,
Like I said, I feel like, um, just even watching,
I learned more, you know, like like I know we mentioned earlier,
Uh you know last year you wereout here with with earthquake at the Paramount

(03:44):
in Oakland, h Man, andso shout out to my brother Jerry law
two Raw and Keith Griggs. Weactually had a chance to open up for
you guys, man, and theydid a good job too. Man,
Man, thank you man for me. It was it was very surreal,
you know, being a Bay Areayour boy. Man, my first time
ever being you know, on theon the Paramount stage. That was momentous,

(04:04):
you know what I mean. Um, so you know I'm still having
flashbacks and going to my first playthere with my mama. You know what
I mean that God have history historyright, and you know, you know
the ratchet Church plays girl don't throwMama from the trade. She ain't said
that right, So it was soit was it was big for me,

(04:26):
man. So you know, afterthat, I come off stage and I
see you come out, you know, fully deck to the nis. I
like the suit. You was sharp, But man, you was back there
stewing like you was ready for aheavyweight fight. Boy. I said,
oh, my man, is serious. You was locked in. Oh you
gotta lock in, man, andhave to buck to lock you gotta lock
in. That's like I catch azone. Man. I'm like, I

(04:46):
feel you know, it was justalways people like yo, he doesn't seem
that friendly, right, I'm like, um, let me get off stage
first. I haven't got to work. Yet once I go to work that
we can talk about it after that, right right now. I mean,
you guys had a packed house.Man, I'm sure it's gonna be the
same when you come out here toTommy Teas. You know again, every
time you're on a bill, man, I mean, I feel like it's

(05:09):
always with the greatest of the greatbecause you are a goat yourself. Like
I mentioned, I know you gotone coming, uh coming back to the
Paramount right October. I think that'swhat we got you on for the festival.
Laughs. Yeah, I hadn't lookedat my schedule that deep. But
if you know it, if yousaid it, that's gonna happen. Yep,
yep. Man. So, likeI said, every time we get
you out here in the base, always a good thing. Man. Let

(05:29):
me ask you a question because Idid see uh so, I'm of course
you already you know the beef that'sbeen going on Rick Ross and this cat
Envy, you know what I mean. I p I peeped the piece of
the interview where Nvy actually came intothe studio with the author serriki outfit on
man, how was that being inthe studio and it's the funk really really
Oh yeah, it's real. ButI was like, man, let's the

(05:49):
sketches keep this. Let's let's thesketch us for the sketch comedians. Right.
Yeah, that Envy was upset aboutit. But me and Charlotte,
man, you know, it's likea lot of controversy. Like I just
think we both were like, justcome on, man, just can't be
over in the car show, youknow. And we were trying to nip
it in the butt man, becauseDan, both of these guys are successful
to getting money, they're doing anything. Why not just dead that come together

(06:10):
do something at the next level. But you know, I get I get
enough trouble with my own beast,so I just let I let them go
at it. I was like, let me back up. Y'all can do
it y'arself. Yeah, man,I mean, you cracked a couple of
jokes in there, but I waslike, I said, oh man,
he took he's taking this serious serious. He really came in there fully dressed
and was he was he was goingto he was going to Rick Rock's neck
and everybody's already did that Rick RossAward and stuff. That's get something new.

(06:34):
But you know what I'm saying itis what it is, you know.
Yeah, man for show is forshow. I mean, man,
I also want to know, manum because you know, Chappelle was just
out here just the other week doingsome shows out here. Man, are
we ever gonna catch Dinelle Rons andDave Chappelle owned stage together? Maybe sometime
in the Bay Area. I mean, I don't know. We've been doing

(06:55):
a too. We just did achoic we were in Australia, New Zealand.
Wow. You know, like,I'm pretty short and Dave is a
big fan of the Bay Area, but I'm pretty short. Maybe sometimes Yeah,
he's gonna double back and come outthere. I know he's been doing
smaller Venus. Yeah. But youknow, if my schedule permits and he
wants to work for me, whichis doubtful if he wouldn't, but if
my schedule is fitting and he's goton the books, I would love to

(07:15):
come out being rocking. Yeah.Man. So, so what what else
we got coming up outside of thetour? More so kind of with the
TV and the movies. Man,Now that you are, you know,
dusted off the BMath, man, what's next? I don't know what next
to me is coming? On thatstage June, the checkon and the third.
I don't look too far into myacting career, you know what I
mean. Like stand up is thething that's been paying me. You know,

(07:38):
I just stay true to it.I say petty table bill and I
pop up on something. But youdefinitely can come see me Donna Rowlands dot
com. I'm traveling all over place. If I get another acting gift,
whether it's small screen or the bigscreen, I'm thinking. But the thing
I appreciate the most and the thingsthat I even live off of a stand
up coming. So that's what I'malways dude. Yeah, I hear that.
Man. If you if you didhave a choice of acting opportunity,

(08:00):
is anybody that you specifically want towork with? Nobody in particular. I
mean I'm not even of that world. But I don't even watch TV or
movies, you know what I'm saying. But I don't know whoever could bring
the best out of me and Icould bring the best out of them.
You know. That's what's up.That's what's up definitely. Man. Well,
Donna, we appreciate you, goodbrother, thanks for taking the time
to tap in with us. Managain. June second and third Tommy TS

(08:22):
