Speaker 1 (00:10):
Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya Red and I
Heart Radio podcast. Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in. It
is a special edition of Scrubbing In because it is
not just Halloween. It is the day after Becca Tilly's birthday. Also,
it's not well it's not Halloween, is what I said. Yeah,

(00:36):
you guys, Honestly, I've been doing that a lot lately.
Like I did it on a red carpet. I was like,
we're at the bloody blood and it was alive hit
and I was like it is. Yeah, you're a couple
of years behind. Yeah, it's very common. I don't know
why it is so common. Weird, but anyways, you have
the majority of the year, right, you just needed it
too at the end, Yeah, well it is more importantly
to day after your birthday. So thank you so much.

(01:01):
In honor of such day, shall we the thirty four
lessons You've learned in life? Yeah, I definitely am not
going to do thirty four lessons I've learned in life,
but I do like the number thirty four. I feel
very good about thirty four. Cute. I just you know,
I was talking to Haley about this yesterday, like it
was so cool going into this next year of life
and like our relationship being public and kind of just

(01:23):
like I feel like vibes. I feel vibes, like I
feel good about thirty four, you know, I feel that
my life is where I wanted to be. Things are
out there. I think, Um, yeah, it's been it's been
good so far. Good day, feeling good, feeling empowered for
a new year. I do feel very empowered. I'm excited

(01:46):
about this year and all the things that come with it.
What do you want this year to come with? Podcast
to Skyrocket listen we we are not nominated for People's
Choice for It's okay, it's okay nominated, it's okay. But
I do I want next year? I want us to
be back in that and that you know likest Um,

(02:09):
I want to build a pool in my house. I
have like goals like that, Like I want to design
my home, get that done and maybe by another property.
I want to um travel more as always and just
you know, continue like I just I'm so great. I

(02:29):
think this year I really felt like how grateful I
am for the people in my life. Like I had
a moment where I was like, wow, I'm surrounded by
so many amazing people, and like that alone felt like
such a gift. It is such a gift. It's fair.
I don't think I realize it. And like certain moments
where I'm like, dang, like I feel very fortunate to

(02:50):
have the people in my life. Like I don't just
have good people, I have like really great people in
my life. And uh time, you know, got me a
ping pong table for my birthday and it's like outdoor
weather proof, and I was like, did Robbie sign off
on this? Because like he's like this is it for him?

(03:11):
Like he will never win again. To be honest, it
was really a joint effort because I had like this
basket prepared Rebecca with like kind of all of her
favorite things in it. I've already gotten the candle and
the pop tarts and the Celsius to kind of put
in it. But I was like it's and then we
put ping pun paddles in there, and I was like
it's missing like the big thing, and I was like
I need like something big. And I always I wanted
to be something towards your home because I'm like she's

(03:32):
a grown up now with a home, and so we
were like talking about it and Robbie's like, you should
get her a legit ping pong table, and I was like,
that is exactly what I needed. And so I was like,
I can't just get her just like a normal ping
punk table. It has to be like a super legit
one that's going to last in her home for many,
many years. And so we put our heads together and

(03:53):
we really got you a good one. I mean, yeah,
it's it got delivered this morning, and it's truly it's
beautiful good. Yeah, it's next level. And he should be
shaking in his boots now because yeah, I mean, what
a bold move on his part to even suggest that.
But it'll it'll be great. Yeah. Now we can do
think taco TuS at my house and we can oh no,
now we can really prep for the ping pong, the

(04:15):
Kershop ping pong tournament next year. You're really get our skills, right,
you're right? Yeah, yeah, Well he's a free agent, by
the way, who Clayton Kershaw. I'm saying he may not
be back with the Dodgers next year. I don't know
what that means for the future of that tournament. Oh

(04:36):
the shocking intel. That's a really great event. So that
will be upsetting for the l A community. I'm sure
they would still do it. They just probably wouldn't be
able to do it at Doctors Stadium. They probably just
do it a different venue, which I'm fine with. I
thought it was his thing. Isn't it for his charity?
It is, but but it's he would do another team,
he would do it probably there, right, if you're playing

(04:57):
for the Texas Rangers, he would do it. In doubt,
I'm gonna do Like l A is really information that
could be pivotal, pivotal information, avotal information that Mark is sharing. Yeah,
I have to put that in my back pocket and

(05:17):
keep it close eye on it. Yeah, we'll take that
info and we'll put it right in the back pocket.
Mark updates this again with something because we definitely won't
know about it. Not at the top of my news list. Um,
it was. It was like a busy weekend though, like
a lot has happened since we lasted our podcast, So
much has happened. Where do we begin Your birthday? Oh? Well,

(05:38):
my birthday was chill, like I woke up, Tony and
Robbie came and delivered a basket of pop tarts, Celsius
my favorite candle ping pong, like chic aesthetic ping pong
paddles and um. So that I started off my morning
with that, which was great. And then Haley and I
went to the spa and like by the poll day

(05:58):
and got massages and it was so nice because it
was like a busy social weekend, so it was like
really nice to do nothing. And then we went to
dinner and I thought it was just gonna be me
in Haley and we get there and the hostess takes
us and sits us at this like six person table
and there's like purses and drinks sitting there, and I'm like, oh,

(06:20):
I think someone's I think people are already sitting here,
and she looked really confused, and Haley's confused, and then
Ali and Tany'll walk out and singing Happy Birthday. Was
like a mistake to leave our drinks and was so confused.
I was like, oh, yeah, this is not the right
table and so um yeah, I was totally surprised. I

(06:42):
literally had no idea, and it was really fun. Yeah,
it's fun. It was like the fact that Ali and
I are friends now really just feels like a moment
in time, you know what I mean, Like I feel
always friends. You'll just like realize that you'll actually connect
more than you realize. I feel like we missed out
on years of potential blossoming of a friendship. You know,
we missed out on that time. But we're going to

(07:02):
make up for it. Yeah. I feel confident that y'all
will more than make up for it. I'm very thrilled
that you'll are friends. Like they both have way more
in common than they realize. And I think a lot
of people are like, what happened with Ali Antonio, Like
why weren't they friends before? Now nothing happened. They just
are like both territorial over me, so they never like

(07:23):
let each other get don't like to share the best
friend title, you know what I mean, Like we take
it a little personal. Yeah, but y'all are both my
best friends. Yeah, and you have a couple of others,
which is fine. Yeah, it's fine. I'm fine. It's good
to share that. It was. I had a really great,
relaxing birthday. It was exactly what I wanted. Great, glad
to hear it. And then Friday we had the Halloween party,

(07:46):
which was crazy. I got blacked out drunk Eastern Do
you know how drunk I was, you seem pretty drunk.
I did not realize I got that drunk and till
the next day, like I woke up, I didn't brush
my teeth, I was in my hot like I was
in my robe that's like so hot, and I normally
I sleep naked, but I guess I just like passed

(08:09):
out on the bed, and Robbie was like, I thought
you were gonna pukecause I didn't want to like wake
you up. I don't understand what happened to me. I
only got three margharitas. But I think it was the
dry eyes. But you said no, you said you didn't
eat anything before. I had a chicken Uh what do
they called wing? Chicken breast? Like? No, no no, no chicken
uh thigh? I don't know either way. She had no

(08:29):
carbs and nothing to absorb the three margharita she had,
so instead of blaming me on the dry eyes, so
let's just call it what it is. Do you want
to say? Allison always brings up that the best pictures
of us that have ever been taken we're taken by Tania,
and even in your compromise state insane photos you took
of Allison and I. She has an eye and I

(08:53):
have a photographer. Thank you, Easton. I'm going to take
that compliment. I'm gonna put that in my pocket as well,
without kersh On for me, I slip it right back there.
I will say, so we um had. The bar setup
was done by this company called Run Runaway Indie, and
it was so thoughtful, Like every detail of the setup

(09:16):
was so thoughtful and que And if you're in the
southern California region, how do you recommend like the margarita's.
They were school aretas and they were in like a
little school and they had dry eyes, so they were
like spooky and looked like they were smoking. And apparently
that's what caused Tonia to go down. I think it
was the dry eyes, because like, what else could it
have been, just like the tequila. No, I don't think so. Anyways,

(09:42):
it was great. It is interesting having a party of
that size at your home as the host, because you
kind of lose the relaxation of going to a party
when it's like at your home and you're making sure
nothing's getting destroyed or impered with. Yeah, I can imagine.
But it was really fun to like watch everyone. Everyone

(10:04):
seemed to be having a good time. So I was
shocked to how many Scooby Doo costumes there were, Like
it was like Scooby Doo's and Daphne's kept walking through
the door and I was like, what is going on there?
Mass text I don't wanna were of. So Hailey was
Velma and the Scooby Doo movie, like one of the
Scooby Doo movies. Um, it was like what I think
our first movie? Yeah, yeah, what was it was something

(10:26):
like The Mystery Begins or something. Scooby Doo. The Mystery
Begins was her first like big movie role I think,
and she was Velma. And so then Velma recently, I
guess on the cartoon came out as a lesbian and
so after that was like we have to go as
Daphne and Velma. Like that's just perfect and like the
way it timed out. So you know, I have been

(10:48):
klined for the last six five years. Wow, that took
a long time to pick her math which I was
mathing that was math and hard, um, but I've been
line so it was like really fun to feel like
you and I got my makeup done. It was nice.
I have to say, I just like Robbie wins all

(11:11):
the awards because he's just so down for whatever I want,
Like he always is. Just he's such a ride or
die and I love him for that. And we were
we always we wanted to do Barbie Ken, like pretty
early on, like we figured out that's the costume that
we wanted, and he got this wig and like he
literally looked like I needed to call the cops on him,
like it was a scary wig. Going through the videos

(11:33):
and photos when I would see Robbie, it was like
full jump scared, like I was like, oh my god,
I forgot But he loved it, like he was so
committed to it, and he just like has the best
time and he's just so down and I love it
because it's like that's literally what I need in a partner,
do you know what I mean? Like if I had
someone that was kind of bumm bug or didn't really
want to do anything or just wanted to look cool

(11:54):
all the time, like that would suck. No y'all costumes,
I mean both years, you all have just killed it. Yeah,
And he's like already wants to plan next year. He's
like about what if we do true Romance one year?
Like I think that'd be really cool. Like there's gotta
be other ones we can think of, and I'm like, okay,
I would just like to look over and see Robbie
talking to someone like one of the other guys, Like

(12:14):
when Max Brown Victoria Victoria Brown's husband was in like
a Joe Burrow like football costume, and then Carston Ali's
boyfriend was in like this like chic suit. He was
Gomez from Adam's family, And um, I would see Robbie
like having just like a normal conversation and he would
like move his bangs over. Not even bad it was

(12:41):
so bad and like it was bad when he tried
it on. I was like, let's shape it, let's cut
it in shape it. He was just like, no, the
bad is like the good of it. He enjoyed it. Yeah,
I think so. So he doesn't listen to podcasts, but
I just want to give him a shout out because
it really blesses my heart in many ways. Yeah, he
really was like totally down. He's always told I mean,

(13:01):
you should like see what else you can get out
of him with that, honestly. Um, but it was great.
Eastan and Allison or James and the Giant Peach and
just like adorable. Trip really got that fast, like it
took me a minute and I was like, I don't understand.
I was really nervous because I was wearing I was

(13:22):
James and it was just just like a schoolboy and
I was like, oh man, everyone's gonna think I'm a
C d C guy. That's what's gonna happen. And the
only one person said that, yeah it read. I was
very proud it did read. It read very well. Yeah,
I did feel like people. So Scooby Doo was a
thing this year, Like we had two other Daphane's and

(13:44):
then two friends, so we were really just missing Shaggy
and Scooby. And I thought it was interesting because like
I was thinking, what is it about Scooby Doo? I mean,
obviously it was. It was weird how much there were
I was like, what's going on? And the best part
is too. So Hannah came and she brought two of
her friends over the three blind mice, and like Robbie
was talking to her two friends for like a really

(14:06):
long time and I was just like, look over with
this a wig and I'm just like he's like two
hot girls. Never have I ever like been less zero
threat zero because whisping his blonde hair away, and I

(14:28):
was just like, this is so freaking funny. Yeah, it's
safe to say Robbie doesn't know. Um does not need
to do blonde hair. No, because he's really dark hair,
like the Travis Travis version of him, like really worked
for him. And he looked like he looked more like

(14:48):
Travis Barker than I did Courtney. And this year I
feel like I looked more like barbered yea. Yeah yeah,
so maybe next year we'll really Um. I was gonna
say something else about Oh, and older sister, my brother
in law, came and surprised me from Louisiana. They flew
all the way just for the party. Wait, the way
your sister came in was literally terrified. So she was

(15:11):
trying not to stress about the costumes. So she was like,
I'm just gonna wear a mask. And she told my other,
my younger sister who lives in Newport, Caroline. She they
flew in and they wrote up with them. So she
walks in and oh, mind you. We were like wondering
should we get a secure Ali had gotten in her
head and was like, we should get a security card
for tonight and I was like, I think we're good,

(15:32):
Like it's not that big deal. But I see this
person come in and they're holding like a bottle of
wine and the scariest like old man like creepy mask
walks in by themselves too and early. So it's like, yeah,
like not many people here, and Ali and I see
her and I was like, who's this person? And I

(15:52):
was like who's this person? Like we're almost like panicking,
like who's this person? Charging like literally charging her way
through the door, like panicking. Yeah, and she she was
like looking for me, like you could tell she's like
looking for something, and she wrapped off her mask. It
was my sister and they had flown out for the
party to surprise me. So that was really fun. And
then um terrifying and terrifying. And I think even Tania

(16:14):
was like who is that? That is terrifying And I
was like, because she's like belining it for you, I
was like, um, is somebody coming in to maybe about
the security guard like call the cops. Um. And then yeah,
and then we got to have a day with them
on Saturday and it was it was great. Yeah. I
went to my first King's game on Saturday. And we

(16:35):
literally have the best for wreaking time. I think I
found my sport. Oh yeah, how many times have we
heard Tanya find her sport? Well? This one, like, yeah,
she was a big Clippers fan for about a week. Yeah.
Even women's but let's not forget women's basketball. Yes, yes,
and women's soccer. So I do enjoy basketball games. Um,

(16:58):
it's a similar vibe, I helt. But the hockey people
felt like my people, like I was like thriving. Wait
why did they feel like? I don't know, because I
just really felt like I fit in, you know what
I mean? Like I didn't feel like I didn't belong. Yeah,
like I felt as though the King's fans embraced me.
And I just had such a blast at the game.

(17:21):
So please tell the story of the competition you had. Yeah, so,
they like they asked me if I want to partake
in this. It's called like the extended Goals competition and
it goes up on the JumboTron, like on the big screen.
And I was going up against this guy's name is
Francisco and he calls like the soccer games for sports radio,
and he does the goal when they win or when

(17:42):
they score a goal, and I was like, I don't
really want to do this because I want to lose,
but like Robbie was really encouraging me, and the kids
were like really excited about it. They were like do it.
So I was like, okay, I'm gonna do it. So
I was already planning on like losing, but I was like,
I'm just gonna do it for the story and for fun.
So I go up and this guy does the goal
for nineteen seconds and I literally am like, there's no

(18:05):
way I can hold different. Nineteen seconds is a long time,
Like that is a long time, okay, and they're like, Tanya,
your turn. So I started going and I see the
countdown clock and it gets to fifteen seconds and I
literally was like I have so much air left in
my stomach, like I'm gonna beat this dude, so you
can like hear it because my goal goes from like
gold and I was like, I was like so excited.

(18:27):
And then once I hit nineteen, I started screaming goal
and I was like, I don't know what it's like
to win the Olympics. I don't really know what it's
like to win any sport because I didn't play many
sports and I always lost. I felt like I had
just won a gold medal and something like I was
so stoked. I was shaking. I had this like adrenaline rush,
like I was like I could have flown on the

(18:50):
air after I beat that guy. Yeah, I see, it
was like this chick just beat me. That's what I
was gonna say. I know he was like, what the
heck just happened to me? Yeah, I was like, take
a look at his stomach. She can hold a lot
of air. Yeah, he didn't know the lung power did not. Misunderestimated, misunderestimated, ununderestimated.

(19:15):
This modern woman over here, she's got some girth. Well,
I want to talk about how you dressed up this
morning for the Morning Show and the reaction to that
on a certain someone. But let's take a break and
we'll come back. Alright, So this morning for the Morning show?

(19:45):
Did everyone dress up? Was this the thing? Like the
whole crew dress up? Everybody that wanted to. Okay, it
wasn't mandatory, but most everybody did. You went as Harry
Styles at the Grammys. Yeah, it was the Grammys, but
I don't know what year, but it was like black leather,
black leather, green, bow at Harry Styles. Yeah, yeah, like iconic,
iconic and what hell did Robbie feel about your costume?

(20:09):
So Crystal shout out to Crystal because she's just a plus,
like she just creates the best content. She literally she
took she made our Barbie photo, like I gave her
the photo yeah, and I was like, I don't know
how to do this, and she's like, I think I
could do it. But she did one for the Morning
Show where it was like Harry Styles in this zoom
because we interviewed him a couple of months ago when
the album came out, So she took that image of

(20:32):
him in our zoom and put all of our like
Harry photos in it, you know. So Robbie saw it
on Instagram. He thought that Harry Styles was we were
interviewing him this morning, I guess. So he texted me
and he was like, how is Harry? Did he ask
you out again? And I was like, yeah, he asked
me if I was single and he was like no,
he did it, and he was like, I thought it
was interesting that you dressed so sexy this morning. Did

(20:53):
not know you were interviewing him? And I started like
laughing because I'm like we did not interview him, and
he was a lot to boob and I was just like,
I had to let him live in that for a
minute because it's not often that he gets rattled, So
I'd let him live in it for about fifteen minutes
before I said that we did not interview him this morning. Yeah,

(21:13):
I mean compared to like, he can handle fifteen minutes
of being a little bit a little shoken. Yeah, shooken shaken,
shook it shook. Today Haley went to correct someone to
comment on my someone. I think my sister commented something
about like I should have stolen Haley's magnifying glass or something.

(21:35):
She goes, she should have stole it, and I was like, no,
it's stolen. Like we had like a like debate about it,
and I was like, you were acting when you were
in high school that we were all learning grammar while
you were making movies, so it's understandable. She's always like
I was like, I didn't like being told how to

(21:56):
like speak, so in grammar, I would like reword my
sin is because it was a way for me to
be creative, and my teacher would always like correct me,
and I was like, no, this is a creative choice,
and that's one way to try and get it beat
the system. Grammar police. Who knew I'm expected from Haley,
but she wasn't She was right right, Yeah, I am

(22:17):
the grammar police. But I know some people are annoyed
by that. But like, I'm just trying to help you
so you don't make the mistake and like something that's important.
That's how I think about it, like you're and your
I mean that one kills me. That one kills me.
I don't really know the difference between who's and who's,
so I don't know if you notice. I always just
say who is? I can't because I'm like, I don't

(22:41):
know the difference. I to say who is? That one
gets me too. I think, yeah, I just don't want
to risk it. I know it's fifty fifty, but I
can't risk it who is? Who is she? Unless you're Yeah,
we have another Halloween party tonight and I need another costume,
and I'm tired, and I don't know if there's gonna

(23:02):
be anything left at the store. I'm not to be kleined,
like I might just have to do it. Nothing pains
me more. And I don't know if it's my age
at thirty five. But let me tell you, I am tired.
And I only dressed up one night and like a morning,
one night and one morning for Halloween. And your girl

(23:22):
is tired. But aside from the dressing up one all,
I mean we've gone gone out every night. Mama is
this is my second coffee of the day. I will
say there was an interesting moment I had last night
because we were at dinner and um, Haley and I
got a drink, but like, I don't even know if
I finished my drink, and then Ali an Tania didn't drink,
and I was like, we're at that age now, you know,

(23:44):
We're like we're all talking about it. We were like
we should drink. It's her birthday, like we should have
a glass of something. And then I was like I
don't feel at all, Like I don't care if anyone
drinks or not. I literally was like I'm so unwell
and tired today that like if I have a drink
and I knew how to get up really early for work,
I was like I can't. I just can't do it.
I was just thinking like um, and then our friend

(24:06):
was Brittany was apposed to go but her Grandma passed away,
and so she send money for to like send us
shots to the table, and I was like, no, one's
drunk table, wrong table, So no shots were It was
a really fun weekend. It's gonna round out tonight. And
then they were walking down the stairs to get to

(24:27):
the car. Literally all of us were like, it's so hard.
Our knees hurt walking down the stairs and heels all
he look like shaking. When she looked like no, she
looked like when your citizen, it is weird, like the
things you started noticing, just like that happened as you can.

(24:47):
I laughed, But I'm secretly terrified inside of the pains
and aches that are coming. I know, I know. So yeah,
it's a little bit, a little bit about what's going
going on for us. Should we do an email? Are
we there already? People were like, our brains are fried.

(25:10):
How about this one? Let me read you this one.
It's not an advice email. It's just a very sweet
email we got from Rebecca. She said, today I decided
we'll be fun to go back to the first ever
episode were together. I think it is episode four, and
Tanya was technically a guest. I don't know what I expected,
or if I expected anything at all, but I was
blown away by how similar everything felt to listening today.

(25:31):
And I mean this in the best way possible. Of course,
the podcast has changed and growing and evolved in big
and beautiful ways, but the giggling, the banter, the love
between Becca and to and it was the exact same.
And that's why we love the podcast. We witness a
friendship so genuine and real it brings us joy every week.
I have personally been through a lot of change that
has proved challenging recently, and I can truly say this

(25:54):
podcast as a source of pure joy every week, and
that is a rare thing. So thank you both and
the team for your work on the podcast, and thank
you for sharing your lives and friendships with us. A
true blessing. I love that. I want to go that, mactual,
you want to go listen to it? I know we
should Actually, Yeah, that'd be fun we should do it,
and like film our reactions to it would be funny.

(26:14):
We should do that. We'll put that in her back pocket. No,
that's cute. I like that idea. We'll put that in
the Yeah, we can't do it. Live in the Facebook
group Oh no, I forgot how to do that. We'll
figure it out. Yeah, we'll put it. We'll have been
in that one. We'll figure it out. Also cute, thank
you for sending that. I love that the the core

(26:38):
of what the podcast is has been consistent for that long. Yeah,
and that it's just friendship because I think also too,
as you like are in. You know, we've been doing
it now for five years, and I think sometimes you
kind of get through, you know, like we see we
want to have this renaissance, and you see all these
other podcasts like flipping and changing and doing things different,

(26:58):
and I'm like, your gut tells you like, oh, we
should evolve and we should do things different. And then
sometimes I'm like, you know what, I just think at
the core we should remain the same. Well yeah, I
mean I definitely agree. I think at the core we
have to say the same. Yeah. Like it's like an apple,
like we should have the seeds in the middle. It

(27:20):
should always be the seeds that grow from this podcast.
But we do have our photo shoot coming up for
new picks for the podcast, and we have a fitting
for our outfits. So we did say we wanted some
cohesive looks cohesive, but still the same, you know, elevated.

(27:42):
Well we're in scrubs in the last one. Yeah, but
just well it realizes that I got I read a
lot of comments that people think that we're medical podcast,
and which thank you truly like from the bottom of
my heart, the fact that we appear official to that
degree that people skip to listen because they don't think

(28:05):
they'd be interested, thank you very much. And then the
other people think that we're just like only a Gray's
recap podcast. And so I was like, you know what,
I think maybe we need our photo to be a
little more broad and represent a little bit more of
what the podcast is, which is not medical chatter, not
medical chatter. My favorite message I got from a listener

(28:28):
was that they thought we were and and just like
that podcast recap podcast. I was like, excuse me, what
just came in at a very needle dropped at a
very random point when we were talking about it, and
just like that, which gotta be honest, I can't wait
for it to be. I mean, come season two, we'll
see what happens, right, we might turn into that if

(28:51):
we have anything to do with the Eastern no one
else here I don't think cares are watching. I do care,
but they don't have the passion that you, not as
much as Love Island. Okay, what is the Mole? Oh yeah?
Well did I open a can with the worms? I'll

(29:12):
let me tell you. Also, sometimes I feel very justified
because I'll find these shows and I'm like these baking shows,
for instance, I get so into them and I'm like,
am I weird? Or like are there other people out
there like me? Baking baking show? Well, this show The
Mole was one that I stumbled upon. I did not
realize it has such a following like I would like
I I saw all these people and be real posting

(29:34):
like they they're watching the Mole too, And I was like,
I feel very justified. So we did a Mole marathon
because we were towards the end and we just wanted
to get through because we were like, who is the Mole?
It is such good television. I am telling you, if
you were out there and you want just it's a
little like it's it's a mind game. So it's kind
of like you're watching people play like an escape room

(29:55):
with like all these different missions, but then there's like
a mole and you have to figure out who. It's
so good. It's on Netflix, and I think we watched
season six, which is the latest season, but we're gonna
go back and watch all of them because it is
wildly entertaining, interesting. I haven't heard anything about it. Check
it out. Okay, thank you. Well, it's the show. You
may remember it from twenty years ago. They did this

(30:16):
on ABC and Anderson Cooper was the host. It's the
same franchise now they just revived it for Netflix. I
did not remember this from twenty years ago. This was
brand new information for me, but I respect it that
it's a reboot. Did we talk about how I watched
Love Is Blind facing the other direction? Do we discuss this? No,

(30:37):
but Robbie saw you post that on Instagram and wanted
us to do it too, and I was like, how
are you going to follow? All their voices sound the same?
Here's the thing that was the challenge a little bit
because I Hailey was watching it like facing forward, and
I was we were just like on the couch and
I was facing the wall, and so I was taking
notes and who's talking right now? And so I wrote

(30:58):
down everyone's name and then I would write anything I
heard them say. About themselves. I'd like right that next
to their name, and then I would like kind of
try and figure out it was. It was like, okay,
so I just watched the I did it the first
two episodes and or maybe just the first one. I
did it up until like the first reveal of the
first couple, and I wrote down, like what I thought

(31:19):
they would look like. It was actually such an interesting
way of doing it because Hailey would be laughing as
she would ask for the description and she'd be like,
you're going to be shocked when you see this person.
So then it got me thinking, what if there was
like a podcast where it was like couples dating, or
like maybe one couple dating, and you got to like

(31:41):
picture what they look like, and then you got to
and then it turned into a series, like if Netflix
did like a podcast and then it was also a
TV show and like at the end of the week
you get to see the reveal. I would be into that.
I would listen to the podcast and then I would
watch for the reveal. It was too hard to do.

(32:01):
It was too hard to do because they're switching so
many and there's so many people and you can't keep
up and they don't announce their name obviously, because if
you're watching, you see their name under their little title
card or whatever. Um, what is that thing called. There's
a word for thank you. Put that in your back

(32:22):
pocket like the other things. Clayton Kershaw. Yeah, the visual
of you watching Beck is like so funny to me,
just like sitting on the couch sitting against the wall
with your stand up pat just going worst. I wish
I was against the wall. I was sitting like just
like hunched over on the couch facing and I would
just be sitting like this and then I'd be like,

(32:45):
who's talking right now? Yeah. We thought about doing it,
and then I was just like, I can barely keep
up literally watching it. I couldn't. I couldn't do it backward.
But I will say the thrill of turning around for
the first reveal was like that was fun. And I
was quite off on the appearance that I wrote down
one guy the whole time he was talking. I think

(33:07):
his name was Andrew. I thought he I pictured this
like tall, kind of linky white guy with a man bun,
and I just wrote down this whole description. He was Asian,
and he was he had brown hair, brown eyes, and
he was like kind of built, like he wasn't like
lanky at all. And I was just like, so yeah,

(33:29):
I was like, wow, you just that's why the show
is so interesting, because they just Although I do feel
like this season, I'm not, I haven't gravitated to any
of them like I feel like the first few seasons,
I was like pulled towards some of these characters are
not charactering people. There are real people. Um, let's not forget.

(33:49):
Let's not forget. But this season I'm not feeling pulled
towards any of them. It's you know why early days
it's the pure purism of the first season of something
that we'll see. I'm gonna keep going. But I know
what the first season I was saying, the purity of
the first season. You said purism, which I don't believe

(34:11):
is a word. I thought, what you're trying to say,
I'm tired. Don't tell Haley that, Um, don't tell I
said the wrong word. But um, yeah, the purity of
like people coming in, like not knowing what was going
to happen, if they were going to be like social
media famous, there was something about it, you know. Um,

(34:33):
But I do think we need to take a break
and get back and do some emails. Oh good, I
have to go to the bathroom. All right, we're back

(34:55):
before we get to emails. Did you see that Kim
Kardashian showed up to Tracy Ella ross party and it
wasn't in a Halloween party? And she was decked out
like she was? She was like fully decked out, like
blue paint and everything, and it wasn't a costume party.

(35:15):
Oh god, but I saw her with like did he
and stuff in his costume? Did she go somewhere else after? Maybe?
Because there was like this righte up, I think Daily
Mail or something, and it was saying like she and
her two friends dressed up in character and they showed
up at the party and it wasn't a costume party. Honestly,
that's so good. I know it was funny. I enjoy

(35:37):
I do enjoy seeing what the celebrities do over the weekend.
They went all out, they did, but they didn't come
like as hot as I would expect. Like I feel
like I could name off the amount of celebrities that
dressed up this year, like I didn't see many. Well
it's also not Halloween night yet, you right, right, right?
Right right, So yeah, but I feel like the parties

(36:02):
were over the week, like the parties where people are
dressing up, but I actually feel like people like dressed
up big time. And I also want to say, because
I saw this on TikTok a few times about how
people like, uh, this is one girl that I followed,
she was just saying how she like. She was saying, like,
don't feel bad if you didn't get invited to a party,

(36:22):
like I didn't get invited, and it's like nice to
stay in or whatever. And I feel like these types
of things like really bring out the I guess fomo
or whatever you want to call it of like, oh
I didn't get invited or whatever, and yeah, and I did.
Like there was a friend of mine that was saying
she doesn't like Halloween because she doesn't have a significant
other to like dress up with, and I was like,

(36:43):
that's not what Halloween is about, you know. But I
guess I didn't really go all out until I had Robbie,
you know what I mean, like to like play off
of like a couple's costume. I always dressed up for
Halloween and I always went out, but I feel like
I didn't put as much like energy into my costume.
But I feel like Kylie Kylie gay Or dressed up
as a third wheel and it was so good, so good.

(37:06):
All her photos were her standing in the back of
like couples, like kissing or like and she just got
like a blow up tire like those are the things
that you float in the pool and just put it
inner too. Yeah. Yeah, it was so good. It was
really good. So you know, so on next year, but

(37:26):
next year, I help me want to go to step
it up. I Ali wants to make it bigger this
next year, and I was like, maybe we get a venue,
and I feel stressed about making it bigger. At what
should you two do a couple's costume for this show? Oh?
Right now? No, I mean for three If we're planning

(37:49):
Halloween t three, Well, it'll be on a Tuesday next year, Yeah,
but the party will be on the weekend. But you
would be well, you know, but I thought about us
dressing up as something today for the podcast, but the
thought of doing another costume made me, Hell, I know,
why don't we do that? We should be so much
more fun than that. Okay, next year, when we record

(38:11):
the podcast, even if it's on a Tuesday. Yeah, all right,
has to be pop culture either. You know where that's
going to go in the pocket with Clayton Kersha information alright.
The problem is you don't remember what else is in
that pocket? Do you? There was something else in the
post four things yeah? Shaw, the re listening to the

(38:36):
first podcast to our Halloween costumes and then the Grammar Police. Wow. Yeah,
I got a great memory. Mark. That was pretty impressive.
I couldn't have done that blanked for sure. Thank you, alright, Mark,
take it away with the emails, all right, Begga, thank
you very much. These are anonymous. She needs some advice.

(38:58):
My boyfriend about eight months is very against sex while
I'm on my period. Obviously, I'm trying to be understanding
and not bothered by the fact that it grosses him
out so much, but it literally treats me like I'm
diseased when I'm on my period. I'm very much like
Tanya and that periods do not gross me out, and
I would like to have sex still, especially in lighter days.
I'm used to maybe not doing it on heavy days

(39:20):
in other relationships, but in no touch situation for a
week every month, it's starting to wear on me. Any
advice boy. Bye, Okay, I don't I don't think think
I think it's worth a conversation though of like letting obviously,
I think it's fair if he doesn't want to do
it on like the first or second day, if it's

(39:41):
like a heavy flow. But if you can't handle your
period today, what happens if your arm gets chopped off
in a lawnmower tomorrow, or like your leg goes under
a chopped off and you're bleeding from every extremity, we
probably not time for sex. So what I'm saying this

(40:05):
is not a good sign. I think it's just worth
like you having a conversation and normalizing, like you know,
saying like, hey, this is part of being a woman,
and you know, I don't want to feel like I have,
like you can't touch me when I'm on my period,
and and just like have a conversation about it. And

(40:28):
I think it's just he needs to be maybe educated
on it or something. It seems like he doesn't really
understand like the female anatomy. But I don't think you
break up with him for it. I just think it's
worth a conversation and saying like, hey, we don't have
to do it on these the first or second day
that like maybe towards the end, if it's a little lighter,
it would make me feel you know, desired and wanted

(40:49):
if we could meet in the middle of this. But
maybe the men have well, I mean it doesn't it doesn't.
Sorry to phrase this properly, I think that it shouldn't
slow him down personally. But why does he need to
know here's my here's my feeling. Don't tell him for

(41:13):
one thing, Like there are plenty of times when you're
it is that time of the month and and I
don't know what about my wife, or you don't know
what about your girlfriend or whatever. Don't let him know
and then just make it happen out of respect to him,
don't initiate on heavy days. But if it's just a
light day, why does he need to be aware of
that information, because he's I guarantee he will not. Like

(41:37):
there's been times where I have sailed the Crimson Tide
and uh my and my partners said like, oh, that's
so cool. You're like, so you know, most guys are
like not into this, and I'm like, what are you
talking about? Like I don't know what Men are very
clueless about everything, so I get it out. Yeah, if
you don't hang a lantern on it, I think it's

(41:58):
good to go lie to him. It's not happening. I
just said, you, guys, he's gonna have blood on his weien.
You could be like, oh my god, but that doesn't happen.
Like it happens. You're like, funny, funny thing, I just

(42:20):
came to town. Who again, guys are dumb taking advantage
of that? Yeah? Maybe then don't don't have a conversation,
just be like, I don't know. That would bother me.
I would like, really bother me if he acted like
I was diseased. He acts disease, bothers me a little

(42:42):
bit more, kissed me off. It probably was like, yeah,
I'm not going to touch you. Yeah. If he was
more just like, hey, you know whatever about the heavy
days and had something to say about that. But the
fact that he treats you like you're like fully disease
when it happens, that bugs me because I'm like, grow
up a little bit. Yeah, we don't know how old
this man is. He do we guys? It takes forever

(43:06):
for guys to grow up. We've covered this plenty of times.
On behalf of guys. All right, I was saying, just
going with the guy, just take advantage of him. It
pisces me off because like a lot of these guys
will walk around the house just like burping and farting
and like doing like disgusting things and then like there's
like a tiny drop of blood which literally everybody has,

(43:28):
and like it drives me crazy, me too, Eastern. I
saw this TikTok today and this girl is like I
remember when I used to get good morning, beautiful text,
and now I get like the smell of his parts
and you and poop in the morning, so funny. All right,

(43:56):
well good luck. I mean, if he continues to make
you feel that way, maybe it is worth I don't
know if it's an immediate boy buy, but it's maybe like, hey,
if he's not gonna grow up and realize he's dating
a woman who first of all, the fact that a
man has the nerve to make you feel like you're
disease when we go every single month, I would literally

(44:18):
like I don't even want to know. And bravo, by
the way, in general to that relationship that a week
without is like it would be a horrible thing for you.
Good for you too for being so active in that way.
Just find some middle ground on that one, all right, Anonymous.

(44:49):
I have a friend who drastically edits her body and
her Instagram photos by thinning her face and waste. The
photos are reader to the point where the background is
often warped in blurry, so it's obvious to anyone looking
at the photos. I want to be sensitive to the
fact that body dysmorphia and body image issues are a bit.
But I've had various friends kindly bring up the edited
photos to me, and I know others are likely chatting
about them too, not as kindly. Would you have a

(45:12):
conversation with a friend, do you frame it around self
love and not bring up the photos at all? I
cringe every time she posts a new one because I
know people are talking about them, and she doesn't think
people can tell. And I would want someone to tell me.
Mm hmmm. It's a sensitive conversation. Becca's pondering, Tiny's is grinning,

(45:38):
and I'm sure why because I like, it's not a
friend of mine, but I know people that like edit
their photos to the point where it's just like it's embarrassing.
There's like, you know, you can tell like it's waved
and but to me, it's not harming you. It's not
like it's sad. To me, it's like sad that somebody
has to edit their photos in that way because they

(46:00):
they obviously feel the need they need to for some reason,
do you know what I mean? And that comes from within,
you know what I mean? Like that comes from self love,
that comes from confidence, that comes from and if you
go to her and you say, like, you know, people
are noticing that you're editing your photos, like that's going
to crush her even more, you know. So It's like,
I don't think saying something about the photos or how

(46:22):
people can notice is going to be effective in any way.
Maybe you can try and encourage your friend, uh by
not using filters on your Instagram or like saying how
how empowering it is to post photos where you show
your acne scars or where you don't look as dolled up,
you know what I mean? Like maybe you can kind

(46:42):
of encourage her in that way by being an example
and like being confident in your own skin. But I
feel like going to her and saying people are noticing
that your photos are obviously warped is like not the
way to go about it. I wonder if there's a
way to like, once you post one, if it's like
something in the background as a wor would be like hey,
like because one time I edited a photo and I've

(47:07):
I've definitely his face tune in my day, but I
had like a really flowy shirt until it wasn't really
my body. But I was like trying to like bring
in the shirt and the girls like hey, like this
chair in the background was warped, and I was like, oh, embarrassing,
But I appreciated the fact that she like let me know.
So I wonder like a random person, right, it was
like a friend, yeah, but like where are my friends at?

(47:30):
Why didn't mean my friends text me and tell me?
But like it's different. I like you were all like
I don't know. I knew that you faced. You would
face tune your photos and you you know, it was
like when I had like my bad like acne breakout.
I'm so grateful for like the younger generation who like
will post their natural skin and what it looks like,
because it's it would have made me feel so much

(47:51):
better my photos I looked like a cartoon character. I
would face tune and smooth them so much. But I
think like having a calm station and just be like hey,
like like I get it, we all edit our photos,
but I just wanted to you know, you gotta I
don't know, I don't know it's gonna crush her more. Well,
could you say to her like, but by the way,

(48:13):
I see what you do to your photos, and wait,
you're beautiful. You don't need that stuff, and maybe it's
not going to make a difference, but at least you
got that off your chest and you told her that,
and maybe that's something she would like to hear. I
don't know. No, you know, unlike you're on your period
and like you go to an event you just feel
like crap, and your friends are like but you just
look so beautiful, and you're like, shut it. You know,

(48:35):
I bloated. You can't put a ring on my finger,
you know what I mean? You know you're that bloated
where you like literally can't put your rings on your finger,
you can't zip up your jeans. Yeah. I was just like,
you know what those days when you go to put
your loose jeans on and they're tight and oh, but
you know it's okay. Because we all go through it,
I know, and you'll wake up tomorrow and you'll be

(48:57):
on your way. Put that in your back. I kind
of like the what you said, Mark, I mean, I
don't know if it will like it might sting for
her to hear that, but I think that's saying like, hey, like, hey,
someone pointed this out to me, and I just don't
people are talking about your back. Yeah, but it could

(49:20):
be one of those obvious ones with a ripple in
the background. Me just like, look at the ripple. I
know what you're doing, but you just you know, you
don't need that. I don't know. It's just a way
of saying it without you know, and then it's just
planting a seed. It's not aggressive, it's not like you know,
people are talking about you. I don't think you'd want that.
It's hard. I mean we've I've been so affected by
and still sometimes like if I see a photo or

(49:41):
like I have to post something and I like don't
like any of the options, and I'm just like, oh,
I'm like, oh, I could just fix that. It's like
we live in this culture where they make it so
easy to warp our bodies and like, yeah, I just there.
It's like a sensitive conversation. Why do we do that
when everybody went said, wow, you look really great today,

(50:01):
what are you kidding? No, oh my god, I'm look
awful my hair? Like, why do we do that? That's
how we respond to every compliment because we don't see
ourselves away like I think I think of I'll see
a photo of someone like laughing with like and they
just have the biggest smile in their face. Nobody I
love this photo of you, or someone will take something
of me and it'll be me and all I'm like,
I have a double chin, Like what are you talking about?

(50:22):
Like that is a horrible photo of me. But we
don't ever see ourselves the way that other people see us,
so we're so critical of ourselves. But it's also I
think that because now Instagram has been around for a
long time and everybody like curates these beautiful photos where
they're not smiling and they kind of have like a
look like they're stoic and like it's this, you know,

(50:44):
almost like a Vogue shot, you know what I mean.
Like everybody just doesn't look human anymore. And so it's
like if you post a photo where you're smiling, or
doing something silly. It's almost like weird to see it
amongst all these other things that makes sense, Like it's
just it's it's warped our our perception of reality, you
know what I mean. Like it's not these aren't like
real photos. These are like these images and stuff, and

(51:06):
so it's like, I don't know, it's very weird. It's
such as that's where be real comes in. That's where
be real comes in. M h. But I don't know.
I just stopped using filters on Instagram because I was
like this, well no, but it wasn't working into they

(51:27):
like it was warping my own sense of myself. That's
the thing. It wasn't even like I'm like, I don't
like other people when they see me, they're gonna be
like Tanya looks totally different than she does on social media.
It was me, like I got so used to seeing
my face with this supermodel filter where my nose was
like skinny and my cheekbones were popping, and I was like, damn,
she looks good that when I looked in the mirror,
I was like, look I look haggard. But I was like, no,

(51:49):
I don't. I'm just so used to seeing my face
look like a snatch ten year old. That's literally I
did the same thing, and I was like, to hell
with it, goodbye these filters. This is I'm just gonna
look at my normal face. I'll never forget ton you
being like showing me a photo of like her with
the filter on and be like do I need this done?
And I'm just like no, like, you're so much prettier

(52:10):
than this. Sent both photos of my normal face side
by side with the supermodel filter and sent it to
my plastic surgeon friend and said what do I need
to do to look like this? And I'm thirty I
mean maybe it was thirty three the time, so I'm
in my thirties. I'm like a fully developed human and
I had those thoughts imagine if I was younger tough.

(52:35):
By the way, I didn't do it, by the way,
because it was a lot of work. It was like
nose job, cheek filler, chin something. I was like I
would I just thought maybe a little little some something here,
a little something there. It was a full It was
like a menu like a thing that was like wow,

(52:56):
you're like damn um. We were at the mall, which
we were in Santa Monica. It was me, my older sister,
my brother in law, and my younger sister and Haley,
and we ran into Robert at Zara and it was
the first time Haley and Robert met. And it was
like so funny. It was very casual and easy going

(53:18):
and everyone was like happy to see each other and
meet each other. And it was so random. My brother
in will taps me on the shoulder and we're on
the escalator going upstairs. It's just us, and then Robert
was at like a few steps ahead of us, and
he's like, isn't that Robert And we turned around and
we were like, what the heck. But it was the
first time Haley and Robert met. They were great. Haley

(53:40):
gave him some advice on what choose to wear for
his Halloween costumes. Cute, good times, just Haley. Yeah, good
on everyone, truly, good on everyone. Good vibes. We love
good vibes. You know, we don't like bad vibes. Immatere vibes. Vibes.
We are mature ladies. Here, put that in your back pocket. Yeah,

(54:04):
it was It was so random, but it was great.
I'm gonna need some new pants. Yeah, my pockets heavy.
They're heavy. It's gonna tear the stitch. That's right, they're dragging.
