(00:48):
live at the I Heart Studios in Los Angeles, California
with a live audience, our first real live podcast audience.
Give a shout out. This is Ashley and Jared's wedding shower,
and everybody out there listening, including the audience that's here,
(01:10):
is gonna be able to participate. We've got a big
night ahead of us. We want to give a special
thank you to Create and Barrel for putting this on.
They've been a huge sponsor the podcast for months now,
and this event is going to be nothing but special.
Ashley and Jared, I have a special gift for you,
(01:30):
but before I give it to you, I want to
ask the two of you, why did you choose Crate
and Barrel for your registry. What I love about Crate
and barrel Um is that I feel like it's adult
furniture in the best way that I say that because
Jared and I, well, he moved into an apartment with
my sister. It was my sister in my apartment and
(01:50):
we were only there for like a month until we
realized that it was probably the smartest decision to move
in together. He didn't, you know, We just it would
have been logistically really weird if we did live apart. Anyway,
the bottom line here is that we had like a
really girly apartment. We had a decorator come in and
like make all these crystal chandeliers and everything had like
(02:13):
a shade of pink attached to it. So what we're
really excited about is when we are a married couple
to totally redecorate the place, make it a little bit
more masculine, but definitely timeless and classic and Crate and
Barrel has everything for every room, and you know that
it's going to be well made, it's gonna last so long,
(02:35):
and um, it's just going it's it's gonna be quality, classic,
timeless style for a lifetime. Jared everything. Actually, just say no.
Crane Barrow is awesome, man, Like, every time you go
in there, I just want to spend a lot, a
lot of money. So it's really nice to have Crane
Barrel by our wedding registry because then other people can
(02:55):
buy a stuff that we really like. That's the best part.
When we were registering, he was like, I feel like
it's just we're free free stuff. It's like, well, it's
free for us, I guess for our guests, not for me.
It was just you went around in scannies. It was like, yeah,
I like those wine glasses. Click, I like those towels.
Click the price tag on this click. You know. I
(03:15):
never thought I'd be so excited over something that came
in the mail from actually podcast fans. It's been amazing
how many people listen to the podcast are Instagram and
we don't even know them, but they send us gives
to the Mark Crane and Barrel Registry. This week we
got a dual curing and coffee makers. You can make
a pot or coffee cup. It was very exciting for us.
(03:37):
What's your favorite coffee? I only drink Dunk. It's so
bad as I make it every morning. Yeah, you guys
know I have a coffee company. We just kill my favorite.
I will say that. Like in the in bag form
(03:59):
it's general R and duncan. I think generous is bad
at home form is better than and I'm about to
save you. Um. This is a gift that Ashley has
been telling me about for months now. Uh, Lauren, actually
sister is actually in the audience. She's gonna be uh
moving out right and this will be moving in. This
(04:19):
is to you, actually, Jed, thank you. I'm going to
be as good as the coffee maker. We'll see. I'm
already hurt um as as quick enough to like think
about that. Yeah, that's been nice. Hey Jared, how about
you read into the microphone what I wrote into the card? Please?
(04:43):
Uh it says the big day is almost here almost
from Ben Higgins. Love Ben Higgins is what I was
hoping it would say. Yes, love, love Ben Higgins. Do
you know what these are? I don't know what those are.
They're the blue curve tins. Oh yeah, okay, so a
(05:03):
little backstory. When you know you're getting old, you get
excited about blue curtains. I may have told then that
if you were to get anything off the registrary, I
really wanted the blue curtains because our dog likes to
lift his leg and p on our curtains. He's moving
out with Lauren. Uh he's Lauren's dog, but he's our
family dog as well. And um, that's perfect, perfect because
(05:29):
ours are now sparkly silver. So to make it more masculine,
we're going to make the family room blue curtains. This
will already be the most manly thing in the entire house.
So thank you for that. It's his favorite decorating color.
That's amazing. Real quick, I want to talk about the
transition now, uh to we have a lot to talk
about tonight. One of the things I want to talk
(05:50):
about is the transition to living just with the two
of you. Your sister has been with you for a while,
and you've talked about how great it's been. Which Lauren,
come up here. I think, well, Lord, let's come up
here for a second. I can't wait to ask because
the craziest thing about Ashley is I always expect some
wild stories to be told about a sister living with
(06:12):
a couple that's engaged, and there's yet to play there.
We have no content of crazy dramatic stories that are happening. Lauren,
What has it been like to live with this couple? Oh?
It's so easy, it really is, Are you kidding me?
I have to listen to a lot of sponsored ads
every single day. That's probably the hardest thing is I
(06:33):
have to listen to Ashley mess up into it over again,
mess him and Jared's very good about it, but hey,
you get if Jared can't land it the anger? Yeah,
that's what I It's unbelievable how angry you get from
a stupid Instagram story. If you mess up once, you're like,
damn it. Well. I want to ask you, though, so
(06:54):
to get serious for a second, what have you seen
about their love story kind of play out over last year?
And I want to ask every person that comes up here,
because everybody knows them personally, what have you witnessed and
what have you seen that's inspired you or also that
you've learned from You're gonna make me cry, Bin I
cry every time. UM there there. I know it's like
(07:15):
so cliche, but they're best friends, but they also push
each other to be better, and it's kind of like
they just lift each other up every day rather than
you know, tearing them down, and they're just really cute together.
There's a there's an interesting story I want to tell
why you're up here. I want to talk about. Um.
(07:36):
I was outside doing an interview and then and uh,
the reporter asked, you know, when was it that you
kind of recognize that this could be something again for
Ashley and Jared, and I thought, back, there's a I
know this exact moment. So we're in Carmel, California. We
had gotten off of Winter Games. Actually, you know what
a lot of people don't know is I really met
(07:56):
Ashley from the podcast. We had known each other off
and on before the podcast, but when we really started
to get to know each other personally was really our
first time doing this. And for me, this podcast is
super special because we had planned it for two months.
I didn't know Ashley. I was nervous about this whole
new venture. Amy, our producer, was just getting this thing started.
(08:17):
It was an experiment and it just so happened that
the week that Lord and I broke up was the
week that we've recorded our first episode. UM, and so
we dive into this whole podcast world where it's meant
to be intimate, and it's meant you're really meant to
share content that's vulnerable and real. And I was in
(08:39):
the most real place in my life ever. And then
I meet Ashley, who was also in the most real
place of her life because at that point her and
Jared were really good friends, but they were friends, and
I kept asking, I've always loved Jared. We met on
our season of The Bachelorette, and I've always had a
lot of respect for him as a man, as a person.
I was like, this couple works, Like why isn't it working.
(08:59):
I would always as I messed with Ashley, to the
point where I almost felt like I was offending her,
like why aren't you and Jared dating? She's like, we're
just friends And he would sleep on her couch and
stuff and was weird and I never got it, And
I always defended Jared. When you would ask me those questions,
I was like, don't bring it up, because like I
know that he said sensitive. Yeah, it was it was weird,
(09:19):
but here's what it was on UM. But here's what happened.
And so I see Ashley in this season of life
that I'll explained from a distance saying that she was
questioning a lot um, she didn't know where life was
taking her. She was getting ready turn thirty. Um, there
are a lot of big obstacles in a way, and
she was super emotional, and the emotional Ashley that we
loved but we also felt for often because her emotions
(09:42):
were real and true, and you'd sit there and you'd
see her share these things about life and these big
questions that she have and kind of break down. And
as her friend at that point and somebody that had
already kind of gone through a rough season of my
life with her, there isn't a really good response other
than sitting in it. So then we just I had
to do win our games together, which was a wild
(10:02):
deal UM for me. I had not expect to go
back on the show. Actually had talked about it, and
we decided to give it a shot. So we go
and win our games and she dives in head first
because she is in that season of life with a
lot of things that are open to her and um.
She ends up exploring a relationship with Kevin and they
end up breaking up and we're going on a car.
I just Ashley and I right after this whole scenario
(10:24):
and we start talking and I could and Ashley was,
can I ask you a question? I said, yeah, she goes,
Jared just told me that he has feelings for me
and I don't know what to do about it. And
I said, what do you want to do about it?
She's like, I think I want to see if it
could work. And at that moment, like I almost tried
to talk you about if I remember I sat in
the part I was just going to call you out
(10:44):
on that. Yeah, I was like, wait, you I can't
see and the reason I was like, I don't want
you to set up for disappointment. Yeah, like you definitely
were like defensive about it, like I felt like you
didn't fully believe it or you thought I was exaggerating
I did. I I think I remember, like, are you
over like an Liz in this situation? Does he really
care about you? Because I know how fragile you are
right now, like are you actually willing to dive into this?
(11:06):
And is he willing to dive into this because once
you do, there's there's there's two pass to complete happiness
or a lot of emotion and a lot a lot
of star and a lot of sentence. And I don't
want to see you that again. Before I know, they're
diving back in and look at them the day and
I'll say this about Ashley today and then this is
gonna be about Jared and Ashley as a couple. And Jared,
(11:28):
this is a compliment to you. And I want to
know if you've seen this as well. There's been this
like transformation that is so tangible and Ashley where there's
a confidence and there's a steadfastness, and there's a clarity
and a quality of the life where she isn't a
nervous wreck walking into the studio anymore. She's confident, she's
(11:48):
at peace even when things are swirling around her. She
knows that she has her rock beside her. And there's
just the stability to Ashley. And I don't know if
you as listeners to the podcast, if you've noticed it,
but there's a a tangible stability to Ashley's life that
is that really happened when Jared came into it, and
it's been one of the coolest things for a friend
to see and also for a co host to see.
(12:09):
And Lauren, I want to know if you've seen it.
Every time she does something that I would be like
I woul my pants. You know, I would be very nervous,
like today she went to go get her first fitting
for her wedding dress, very exciting. I would be a
nervous wreck, which she is so confident in everything she does.
I'm like, how do you do it? She's just like
so confident literally ever since Jared kind of admitted her feelings.
(12:32):
Nothing makes her nervous. Stavility is a great word, though,
because I always keep saying, like in my head, I'm
like I was so much more emotionally stable, so she
doesn't cry. Kind of sucks. It's so boring. I'll do
you a question my like, if I'm more boring now,
Like that's one of my biggest in securities. We did this.
I don't get a podcast about like what we are
(12:53):
most insecure about now? And I actually said that I
feel like I could be boring to my audience because
I'm so emotionally stable. It's not boring, just good people
should be happy for it's working, right and that's that
new transition. Jared, let's back check and then I have
some direct questions for you. But what happened leading up
to that moment where you wanted to express your feelings? Ashley? Uh,
(13:18):
well we did at five minute video and you'll say
it again. You guys just got a glimpse into our lives.
I get asked a question and Ashley answered, uh, yeah,
I mean obviously we talked about it before, but it
was more like you said, I mean, I think for
a long time. Uh. And Nick can attest to this
(13:40):
because he knows me pretty well. I'm very Uh, he
looks thrilled, it looks so happy. I I am a
man of comfort. I like kind of like my little
place in this world. And uh, Ashley is the complete
opposite of that. And Ben, like you were saying earlier, Um,
(14:00):
if Ashley and I were to ever date after our
first season in Paradise, it would have gone one of
two ways, either complete happiness or complete sadness. And I
think that was always kind of terrifying for me because
I was always confused about my feelings and so I
never really was willing to dive in. And then, of
course we were best friends and we would talk all
the time. So life was good and nothing ever needed
(14:22):
to be changed. And then all of a sudden, something
changed and she started dating someone else. And I kind
of looked, you know, I was living in Rhode Island
while I was actually living with Nick at the time,
and but I was in Rhode Island when I was
kind of finding everything about about Winter Games, and I
mean I heard rumors that she was engaged, and I
was like, just you know, obviously in my room, uh,
(14:43):
in my own head, trying to think of, you know,
what I should do. How much of an idiot I've been,
how I've I haven't said anything in in in the
past three years, haven't done anything. I haven't said anything.
You know, you just all of a sudden, you you blink.
You know, you go on this crazy adventure the Bachelor
and Bachelor in Paradise, and you kind of just like
roll with everything that happens from it, and all of
(15:04):
a sudden, you blink. In three years of your life
goes by and you're like, holy have I said anything
that I've truly meant? And so and then you know,
we were in St. Lucia. We had a pre planned
trip with our friends, Tanner and Jade and and uh
and and Paul and Katon and Lauren was there too,
and Ashley and and uh and so I decided I
had to go down there and say something. And then
(15:25):
that was when everything changed. And now we sit here
today getting prep for the biggest day of your lives,
Ashley and Jared. This is all came full circle your couple,
just like the world intended to be. What are you
most excited for for this wedding day? Uh? What are
(15:45):
you most excited about? I think I'm most excited. I'm
most excited to think. Okay, never mind, Well I was
gonna say, I'm I'm most excited about to be in
one room with the people that I care most about
in this world. Um, to celebrate this date. It's friends
and family, and to celebrate our love and and and
(16:06):
and just to have that moment, you know, with everybody together.
I think that's what I'm most excited about. I'm the
I am more excited about something specific. And I guess
that's just like the doors opening to the church and
seeing Jared and then being next to my idea, Jared,
do you think you'll cry on the wedding day? Um?
I don't know. That's a great question. I cried. I
(16:27):
cried at my sister's wedding, So you're a goner for
this one when I never thought i'd cry. And then
I saw at my sister's wedding they had a carriage.
I was in. I was in the grins of party.
They had definitely in the most tearful moment. Yeah, yeah,
they had. There was a carriage where my dad and
and my sister h you know, pulled up this big day.
(16:50):
You know, dude, you're gonna ball, man. This is what
I love. So, this is what I love about j
too is he is so He knocked me out once
during the Bachelor att Oh my god, was no knocked
me the ground. It was a bunch of the face.
Tough dude, real tough dude. But he's a dude. They
can cry. Also, when those doors swing open and Ashley
(17:13):
standing there, it's gonna top obviously because Lauren's gonna be there.
My dad is my best man, so he'll be standing
around down the aisle together. Yeah so big big, big
Fred is my dad's name, Big Fred, and he'll be
walking Lauren down the aisle. Should be very nice moment.
The Lauren's gonna cry right now. I'm totally fine everyone,
(17:35):
Um Ashley, for you, you know, I've never I don't
think I've asked you this is the wedding day, something
that you've thought of for a long time or for
all the kind of princess moments that you wanted to
have in life. Was the wedding ever a part of that?
Oh yeah, definitely, um, I because I've always imagined the day.
I'm kind of flabbergasted by how calm I am about
(17:58):
the planning process and how actually anti bridezilla I've been,
right Lauren, Like it's almost been weird. Like I did
my fitting my bridal dress, like my bridal dress, my
wedding dress, fitting my wedding gown was I did that
this morning and like I didn't cry. I'm just like
super happy and I think it's like so amazing. But
(18:19):
nothing about it. They're like what about your earrings? What
about your shoes? And like how about a bracelet? I'm like,
I don't care. Whatever, The important thing is take care
of that. You're just married, which I feel like I
can tell me if I'm wrong. Months ago before, Jared,
in your mind would have like either made you emotional
or freaked you out to a point of instability, Like
there is this stability to your life now that I
(18:40):
feel like it's tangible, and this is a good example
of it. I feel like everything's in perspective. Okay. I
also think it's just it's planning, right. It's like anything
in life. When you start planning something, it becomes like
a part time job and you're like, Okay, well we
gotta get this done and get that done and bah
blah blah blah blah, and it's like, you know, just
day after day after day. And I think, hopefully what
I'm hoping for is that the weekly eating out the wedding,
(19:00):
it's gonna be like, holy we're getting married this week. Yeah,
I think that's one's really good at dawn on us,
I think right now because when I'm planning actually is
very similar to our part time job, like a lot
of like logistics and scheduling and like doing this and
then doing that and then running there and blah blah. Um.
I feel like we don't even realize sometimes that there's
a difference between our wedding and our job. And it
(19:21):
has been filled with many, uh incredible moments, though like
a lot of moments that you just kind of look
back at right now you're like, wow, that was you know,
this is it, this is we're planning for this day.
I think when that holy crap, and it's cool. Our
our wedding player in his name is Troy Williams is
like the most eccentric man you'll ever meet. He's fantastic though,
(19:43):
uh And so like having him a part of this
entire process, like him flying to Rhode Island with us,
and like doing all these things and food tastings and
venues and like being able to do it with my
friends and family, and like showing my parents and her parents,
like her parents flew up to Rhode Island and it
was her parents, my parents, and it was like we
went to the venue and a like, guys, this is
where we're gonna get married. And then this is where
the reception is going to be, and like Dad, you're
(20:04):
gonna stand there, and my mom you're gonna be right there.
And it's like that's the exciting part of being like, yeah,
this is this is where it's all gonna happen. This
is where it's gonna be. So that's been by far
the most fun of wedding planning thus far being able
to do it with with our family and uh, and
just like the anticipation of like, yeah, this is this
is crazy, like yeah, what do you what should we do?
(20:25):
Like do you want to stand there? Do you want
to stand there? You know? Well, when it comes to
things like that, then I have an immediate opinion. I
either have an immediate opinion that I feel strongly about
or have no opinion at out at all. And I
can be like you can just choose Jared, choose it out. Well. Hey, um,
we're gonna be uble a couple more guests tonight. We
have a packed house full of Bachelor Nation in here
and Batchelor contestants that are friends of yours who are
(20:47):
either married, going to be getting married, maybe looking for relationship,
and they're gonna come up tonight and share as much
advice and perspective as possible with the two of you. Uh,
everybody out there, give a round of a pause for
Lauren for coming up here. And Nancy, I would like
to see you and Lauren do a podcast like if
I'm not here one week, you and Laurence to do it. Hilarious.
(21:09):
I've always I've always thought Lauren was great. Uh, and
you know what else it thinks great is Crate and Barrel.
So let's take a second to talk about Crane Barrel.
It's obviously our wedding, but I do have to say
that throughout all the stress of planning, I do need
some me time. It's actually more important than ever. And
my morning routine has been enhanced by some of the
gifts that Jared and I have been getting from our
(21:30):
wedding registry, from Crate and Barrel. These gifts have been
coming in far before our bridle shower and our wedding,
and it's been awesome. I've gotten the best, like fluffy,
soft Turkish towels, robes, bath mats that make my morning
shower and my coffee so much more enjoyable. You wouldn't
(21:51):
even know. I didn't know this before, but Crate and
Barrel actually has a wide assortment of SPA products like shampoos, lotions,
and candles. So I'll lie in our bath, I light
some candles. It's good. It's just like a little period.
Jared's getting all worked up over there. He loves a
good bath, like that man loves a bath, and like
(22:12):
he thinks like he likes thinks water is the sexiest
thing ever. So, like you know, decorate a bathroom nicely
and like Jared's in a good mood. So if you
guys are getting married out there, I highly suggest creating
a registry with Crate and Barrel, because not only can
you get stuff of your kitchen, your family room, your bedroom,
(22:34):
you can also get stuff of your bathroom and the
towels are to die for. You can start your Crtan
Barrel registry now at Crton Barrel dot com slash Wedding
Dash Registry. Again, highly suggest you do your registry or
at least one of them with Crate and Barrel Crate
and Barrel dot com slash Wedding Dash Registry. All right,
(22:54):
coming up to the hot seat, next is Chris and Crystal.
Chris and Crystal and join throw over here. Come on up,
you guys can take my seat in the seat across.
I'm gonna grab a new mic. Just please don't mess
up my papers. Um, this sound's gonna work. We're gonna
get to hear about your lives and the lives of
(23:15):
the people coming up here. And then we have a
couple things that we want to talk to. Jared Nashley
about but this is ultimately a night to celebrate Jared Nashley.
This is not a roast, even though it kind of
feels like it with him sitting up here in a
little bit that would be fun. Be fun. You can
toast me. Um, Nick's not allowed to rest the So
Chris and Crystal this, Uh, you guys are a Paradise couple. Um,
(23:39):
you met in Paradise, you fell in love in Paradise.
How are you handling engagement? Do you want to take that? Um,
it's been a while ride come tomorrow would be actually
one year that we uh known each other. So but
I would say it's for the most part, it's been incredible, uh,
(24:01):
but also definitely challenging at times. And uh it's those
moments that help you kind of understand, uh, picking each
other up and making each other better and the definition
of a team. So that's that's something I really enjoy. Yeah,
I agree, and I think that Um, for a lot
of you who don't know. Christals in Florida and I
(24:21):
was in San Diego, So we were on the completely
opposite sides of the country for a few months after
the engagement when we had to keep it a secret
and no one could know um. And as soon as
I was, like the week before the finale, he actually
came out to San Diego to live with me in
three hundreds of square feet with the other side of
(24:41):
the stage. Maybe it was divided by three rooms to
plus a bathroom in the closet. It was very intimate,
very small, and we actually had no problems with it.
And it was it was Chris and I giving up
our old selves to start this life in this chapter together.
And when we met, we were both like, we don't
(25:03):
ever want to get married. So it was wild that
we got engaged. But I think we just saw, you know,
ourselves in each other and it allowed us to kind
of make peace with the past of who we were
and find love within each other. So it's been a
real blessing. Let's sit there for a second, because you
just said something that is not tying into my next
(25:25):
question at all. As you said, when you guys first met,
your reaction was we're not going to get married, Like
not like we're not gonna get married, but just individually,
like we're not interested in getting married. What changed. Yeah,
the first conversation we were in the pool, like second
day of Paradise, and she was like, you know, I
really don't ever want to get married, and I like
(25:46):
look back at her and I was like, you were
like tight, I mean that's exactly what I said. I
was like, yeah, I mean neither, you know. And then
like from there just kind of over time kind of
change used our perception throughout Paradise. I guess there was more. Well,
I was gonna say, is this because you guys both
came from single moms. Yes, it was that conversation. I
(26:09):
think when you come from like the forest families, you
tend to be kind of apprehensive of wanting to get
married because you saw a huge breakup and how it
affects the family. So yeah, I would say that definitely
plays a key role for sure. So then what was
the moment? And this was the question I was going
to ask, because I don't it actually tries to explain
(26:30):
Paradise to me all the time, and I've never I've
only been down to visit and I've never quite got it.
But it works, it works a lot, it works often. Um,
what was the moment then that maybe the viewers in
the sea or maybe we just didn't pick up on
where you went time out like what I thought was
happening when I came into this has now completely changed
because of this other person. Well, for me, it was
(26:53):
the morning after we had our first kiss, which was
about eight days into Paradise. That's a long time into paradise.
That's like, that's like, really it's like a lifetime. That's
like at least three months out here. Okay, really in
the real world, Yeah, it really is. Because just so
(27:15):
you guys know, you spent about twenty hours all day
long together in Paradise, and you're kind of putting these
conversations with producers where you really dive in deep head
first and you tackle the hard stuff right away. So
I knew, you know, Chris's values, um, and I just
knew like intimate details of his life, about his father
(27:37):
and the role he played and didn't before I knew
his favorite color, his favorite restaurant, um. So you definitely
get to know each other in that deeper sense first.
But I would say that we had our first kiss
and when we finally finally got to have that talk
at the wedding Chapel Cabana, the one when you walked
on the service to the left the wedding Chapel Caban
(27:57):
is what it's called. We finally got together and all
night we've been trying to meet up and finally connect
because we were both dating other people. And we have
that kiss that was like ten minutes straight and one
to bed that night and we were walking to the
beach and I just felt so much joy and love
and happiness in my heart and I just felt so
(28:20):
like divinely guided to like I have to talk to Chris.
I have to get to know him more. And it
was like days and days and days, and producers were like, no,
you need to date Kenny, and I was like, no,
I have to date Chris, like I have to get
to know him. And so we had our first kiss.
And the next morning I woke up and I was like,
I got out of bed, took a few steps sound,
and I was like, huh would I get engaged at
(28:44):
the end of this? And I was like what why
am I even thinking that? Like I don't ever want
to get married, And it was just something in me
really shifted, and from there I just kinda the momentum belt. Wow,
did you know she was feeling that way? Uh? I
didn't actually, but I will say for me Uh. In
the fantasy suite is when you kind of get a
(29:06):
little time to have no camera and obviously you want
to try to engauge, you want to kind of see
where the person that you're dating is at. That's when
you knew. And so well, then I started I started
talking about it. I started talking about it because there
was an instance during the Fantasy sweet date where I
couldn't breathe because I thought she was breaking up with me,
(29:29):
and um, but then it turned out to be that
wasn't the case because it wasn't listening. I was talking
about my last relationship and he's like, what, you're breaking
up with me? He was just so struck by your beauty.
I mean, you do have beautiful eyes and then that,
but that wasn't the case. It was just because I'm
not gonna lie. I was extremely nervous at the Fantasy Suite.
(29:50):
So but then that night I was asking questions and
she was like really starting to give me clarity that
maybe she would accept the engagement if it went down,
and UM, at that moment the next day, that's when
I knew. I was like, all right, for sure, I'm
going to do this. And Producer's demon bothered me, didn't
try to talk to me at all. They just they
knew what I wanted, and I was. I wanted to
(30:11):
be committed to her. So that's the way I went down.
I thought that on her first date. I guess that's
when you knew you loved me. No, you said on
her first date. When we were dancing on the water
and he looked in my eyes as I was dancing
with my dice and he said, I'm going to marry
this girl. I mean, yeah, that that's definitely that. That
(30:34):
also too, that's when I knew that for sure. I
was head over heels and madly in love with you,
Like that's I was. I looked in your eyes and
I was like, that's definitely the girl I want to
be with. You still needed it, I still need a
little clear Yeah. Leaning into Ashley and Jared, we were
there when they came down and got and when Jared proposed,
and that was actually a big moment for Chris and
(30:54):
ezed relationship. I don't think we ever told you guys.
This did not we did not go on. So you
guys came down and your proposal happened, and it Chris
and I ended up being like pulled and having to
have this serious conversation. Is that the night we won
the boom Boom Room. First, this is a PG podcast
(31:16):
that Boom Boom. That's a different story, um, but the
thing is may encourage you guys go to the boom
Boom room. Yeah. I don't know if that story made
a complete since now seeing you walk on the beach,
Jared encouraged him to go to the boom Boom room.
There was definitely inspirational. Know, there was a lot of
tension because I said no to the boom boom rounds
(31:36):
like it four or five times, and then you guys
came down and I was like, you know what, let's
go boom. So I would say that their relationship is
like the definition. Has anyone ever seen the Adjustment Bureau
with Matt Damon where it's like it's amazing and like,
if you think about your path, it's kind of like
the Adjustment Bureau where there was all these different roadblocks,
(31:58):
but somehow, somewhere you guys knew that you two were
supposed to be together, just didn't happen at that time,
and you guys finally became together and now you are.
So it was really inspiring to see and be there
for that moment. You were like the person that stood
out to me the most because we were pretty much
surrounded by like seventy percent people we had never met before,
and I don't think I met you, and you were
(32:19):
like glowing and you were so congratulatory, and it was
so nice to see somebody who genuinely seemed happy, not like,
oh what are they doing like barging in here or
like ruffling feathers a lot. You just see him like
you're happy for us. I was so happy and it
was so just you know, your love story of how
you guys have just come together. It's so it's like
(32:41):
what rom coms are made of? Right, perfect for the
two of them. Um, well, I want to ask now though,
because you've met, paradise is happen. It's happening again. Your
lives are speeding up, right, we're a year out. How
is wedding planning going for the two of you? Would say,
it's going, well, it's going the pace that it needs
(33:04):
to be. We just had like a really nice engagement party,
um to celebrate with our friends and family and people
that we wanted there. And Uh, now with the wedding
and the planning. It's it's it's going they're almost done. Yeah,
well we're keeping all the details private. But there have
(33:28):
been moments where, um, I would say, it really tests
your relationship and it really can bring you closer or
further apart. And it's brought us closer. And I think
the hardest thing for us was the guest list. Same here.
I don't love if you guys knew that that whole
that that's an issue. If for anyone who's gotten married
in here, first off, bless you, it's it's incredible, but
(33:52):
he has been married? Who okay? And what's the guest
at the top of the struggle bus. We have a
lot of hay that say it's not though, No, everybody's pretty.
A lot of people have been married. Not many people
are seeing at the top of the struggle bus, so okay.
I think a lot of people. A question that I
get when I do my questions on Instagram is like,
(34:13):
what have you guys fought over the most and planning?
We even fought at all over anything. It's been freakish
how much we have agreed on things. I would say
the guest list is complicated, not between us like my person,
you're a person. It's like truly who like we have
a limit, Like you guys have a limit to right,
because of any reasons, you have a limit. You have
(34:34):
a budget and so I mean like plates of food,
they're not cheap. I mean like and people got to eat,
so you got to feed these people. I mean, how
many are you gonna want to feed? And it's it's
really difficult to allocate a certain amount of invitations to
a certain amount of people, especially if there's people that
you know are probably gonna be heartbroken. It's the politics
(34:54):
because some people think other people should be there, but
you're like, but we haven't talked to them, and I've
seen years. And I also think it sucks because no
matter how much you talk about it, if anybody's been
married here, you know that in your wedding guest list,
there's like people that you're inviting and then people you're like, Okay,
well I don't know, we have to figure everything out
(35:16):
before we can awkward, but our wedding closed it a
plan B list. It's not a plan B list. It's
just okay, we have to figure out like who's coming,
who's not coming, And then there's all these hesitations about like,
well they might not be able to come, but there
may be coming. But then if you invite your uncle,
you have to invite your five cousins, and it's like
they all get plus ones and there's fifteen people gone.
It just like adds up so quickly. Pl I'd better
(35:41):
have been on the plan a list. I'll tell you
that right now. Hey, we've got to we've got to
keep going here. But before we go, a couple of
questions for the two of you going towards Ashley and Jared.
Two questions, okay, first one, what's your favorite thing about
them as a couple? You take the first one day.
(36:02):
I love how playful they are. I think you know
it keeps you young being playful and fills your heart
with joy and it's a fun energy that's convey more.
We do ask each other on a daily basis, are
you a baby? Don't don't ever say that again. I
(36:23):
don't think any of us know. We also ask our
dog we go are you Lois? Are you allowis? It's
you have to be there. Yeah, that's that's a good
that's good Ashley nice um. Next is, and I want
both of you to answer this next question, if you
were to sin as a couple, who's in love, who's
planning a wedding, who's forging forward in this relationship, if
(36:47):
you're to look at these two and give him the
best wishes possible for any couple really, but especially Ashley
and Jared tonight, what would you say? And I want
you both to answer this. I would say, make sure
you always kiss each other good night. Definitely something that
we never go to that angry, even when I fall
asleep on the couch and I come in two hours later,
I go, yes, she does. My advice for you too
(37:14):
as a can I'm sorry, like I have something nice
to say. Okay, I would say that, And I'm gonna
say what my grandpa told me. He goes, when two
people are in love, they're never going to be in
love with each other at the same time throughout marriage,
and one person might be a little bit lower than
(37:35):
the other, and it's that person that keeps that balance going.
So I always remember to balance each other out when
one of you is off. I love that. Look at that.
Thank you. Yeah, it was a very smart man. Hey,
thank you so much coming up here. We appreciate you.
And now we're going to turn it to the audience
to play a little game that is like such a
(37:57):
good like variety show host you look like with her without? Yeah,
with her without? All right, we have somebody with a microphone.
Raise your hand if you have the answer to the question.
If not, you just shot him out where everybody's gonna
know these answers. Let's just shout him out. Okay, we'll
pick him up with a mic later. First question, this
(38:18):
is all we're evolving around Bachelor Nation. Who is pregnant
from bachelor Carly Jade? Is Carly in here? She took
a little break. Okay, Carly, thank you for coming. She's
taking a little walk. We'll forgive her. Next question, which
bachelor friend once told Ashley she would never be with
(38:42):
Jared Nick? Is the answer? Next one, who used to
be a cruise ship singer? Carly? What del is the answer?
She has? She changed her name or is it still?
I don't know. I call her Carla Bass. It's in
(39:02):
my phone like that. We don't know yet. Who has
driven over one hour just for a sonic milkshake? That
sounds like me, but it's my foodie counterpart, Becka Becca Tilly.
We're so proud of you, Becca. Congratulations Becca, good job.
(39:22):
Who had a fourteen year old age gap on their
season of The Bachelorette or Bachelor? And who? Becca? Okay?
Who else is a Patriots fan along with Jared Evan
(39:43):
Bass kind of? Come on, okay, now this is a
tough one. Let's do this one together. Who met on
Bachelor in Paradise and is still together today? Kindall and
Joe Kindle and Joe Evan and Carly Jaden Tanner, these two,
(40:06):
Chris and Crystal, Astrid and Kevin, Raven and Adam. I
don't even think we had we didn't have Raven Adam
on here, and they just got engaged for all the
Bachelor verdict. That's pretty amazing. It's only been on for
(40:28):
five six, six whole season this season six I count there.
But if that's seven real relationships, we're doing all right? Okay, now,
very special guests are coming up to stage. Are gonna
replace Chris and Crystal. Thank you so much. Thank you.
(40:50):
Becca and Tanya please come up, the host of the
award winning podcast scrubbing In with Becca in Tanya it
is They had one winning Scrubbing In with Tanya and Becca.
(41:11):
Did you guys need marriage advice? Is that what you wanted?
I was like, what are we going to offer? We've
got some good questions for the two of you back
in Tan you're up on stage. But before we get
to talking to him and I know actually got an
important question to ask, Let's take a second talk about
cream barrel. Hey, Ash, you like taking a bath? Right? Oh?
(41:31):
I love best. I feel like you're a bath guy,
big bathroom? Are you big spot guy? Jared Will like
sometimes book hotel rooms solely because they have a nice bathroom.
There's nothing better than feeling hugged by water. Recently, we've
revamped our bathroom and like really made that whole bath experience,
bath and showering experience a little bit more luxurious because
(41:53):
we registered for some items on our Crate and Barrel
registry that have to do with our bathroom. Like they have,
they have a bunch of stuff get They actually have
like shocking products, things that I didn't think that crate
and barrel would carry, like shampoos, lotions and candles. That
really makes bathtimes so much fun. And afterwards, when you
(42:14):
get out of the bath at the shower and you
get to wrap yourself in this soft Turkish towel or robes,
and you get to put your little wet foot on
the softest back man you've ever felt. It really just
talks day far more enjoyable. It starts it out or
ends it. Like I shower at night, usually Jared shower
is more in the morning. It ends my day on
(42:36):
a point of relaxation, get a better sleep. But there's
just something nice about having a lovely bathroom, and we've
really started to be able to create that with the
with our Crate and Barrel registry in the items that
we've gotten so far from it highly suggests checking out
Crate and Barrel. If you're looking for a registry, you
can start your Crate and Barrel registry now at Crate
and Barrel dot com slash Wedding Dash Registry. Again, you're
(43:00):
an engaged couple out there, please check out Create Barrel
dot com slash Wedding Dash Registry. Great Tanya, So this
week has been a very Jonas heavy week in our lives.
I can't like really good um, but Jared is like
already having Jonas fatigue and the album doesn't even come
out until Friday. How do you suggest we get through
(43:21):
this rift? I'm gonna need Jared to get on board
because literally, did you see the documentary? Yeah, we're gonna
watch it tomorrow night with my mom. I don't know
how you watch that thing and don't become obsessed with them,
except mine is Nick. Like Nick, I'm kind of like
not here for anymore, but well Nick, he does sometimes
have a conceited air about him. Yeah, it's all Nick Jonas. Yeah,
(43:42):
let's be clear because that we have for sweet Yeah,
sweet man, Like, I'm just gonna really need you to
just get on board because it's only going to get
worse because they go on tour this summer, so there's
gonna be more Jonas and then the memoir comes out.
I'm debating not seeing Ashley until the wedding, not just
like let her have her Jonas summer and then we'll
(44:02):
get married and then Jonah Summer will be over and
then we're married. Well, the real, the real tour doesn't
start until like August, and I'm not going into a
date until after our wedding. And the hits just keep
on coming. I literally can't stop talking about the John's brothers,
like I cannot literally Today she's like, Wow, you're back
in the swing of things. Are you wait, You're gonna
(44:23):
die when I tell you this? So you know where
we were sitting for the premiere. My seat was actually
supposed to be in the I don't even know how.
This supposed to be the row with like Sophie and Prianka,
And I was like, how is I in that row?
They just really like you. There's no way I know
how you're in that that row because you've been crushing
it recently, just talking outside, You're everywhere. Your career is skyrocketed.
(44:43):
You're doing a great job. And that was the first
thing on the notes that I want to say is
Tanya is absolutely destroying the game, dominating. Very nice thing.
Your podcast together is also doing great this year in
two thousand. Wasn't two thousand nineteen that you won the
award eighteen time Flies and you're having fun? It was
(45:04):
within the last year. It's been in the last year,
scrubbing in with back in China one an award? This
what is the secret to making the same click with
two friends? I can't thank you seriously. This must so
sincere and I'm like scared, No, it's not. It's like
it's like, call me the mustache that I have right
(45:25):
now is call me, call me. Yeah, it makes you
feel like a daddy, like call me daddy, daddy. It's
I don't feel too calm right now. So, um, I
was gonna say, I have been surrounded by Jonas energy
(45:47):
for like a long time now, and let's go to
dinner this week time will get it all out. Yeah,
y'all should do that. Actually, So just bank got training
campus started and the Patriots starting to get back into it,
the Bruins on the Stanley Cup Finals, I have distractions?
Are you going to say that? I was just gonna
say it wo Tango, I was. I got to witness
(46:10):
I'm always around Tommya's energy for the Jonas brothers, and
I really got to a front row seat to Ashley,
Lauren and Lizzie's love for the Jonas brothers. And they
were all singing to each other. And I've never seen
a look of boredom like I did on Jared say
it wasn't. I was having a boredom, just like not
as interested, and He's like, this is what gets them
(46:32):
all riled up? Yeah, it was. Honestly, I was having fun.
I was standing there, I was smiling, sucker, came on.
I know that song. I had a good time during
that song. But these girls are freaking out, So if
you're not flipping out with them, then you're obviously bored.
But I think it sounds like Jereed Guard. I think
it's so cute though, and I like love how they
(46:53):
have their that one night show in l A and
like you just you guys went like just girls and
Jared like picked you up. It was like, so if
you got McDonald's after, that's what I need in my life.
While blasting jonas it was. It was a low point.
One of the most interesting things I think is the
perspective from somebody who is not in a committed relationship
(47:14):
talking to people that are. Tanya, you know you've met
Ashley in studio a few times. You know this couple, Well,
what is your advice for them as a company? A
few times in the studio. She's a funny tour wedding too,
you know. Perfect. The thing I love about Ashley and
I love you too, Jared, but like Ashley just likeally
(47:34):
leaned over and goes. I really like Jared. Do you
know how many times I've gotten in my life Ashley?
I freaking love you. You're great to Jared, but actually
I'm like cool actually before and like you're like a
bleeding heart like me, do you know what I mean? Like,
and so when you when this happened for you, like
I genuinely like it's really and I mean it from
(47:55):
the bottom of my heart, like I'm so happy for
you because it's it's like it's something that like I
don't know, we've we've like shared that's like the dream,
you know, so like I'm really really happy for you. Well,
thank you. I mean, I know we haven't done it
in a while, but those little like Thursday night hangs
that we had a couple of times where I was like, Batonia,
I'm so confused. I have no idea how I'm going
(48:17):
to handle the situation. Can remember it? I remember it
so clearly before or after, like Jared had voiced his
after he had voiced it. What were what were those
conversations life amongst you? You all? Well, I would always
tell Ashley when we talk about Jared, and this is
before he even admit his feelings, and he send her
flowers or something, and I was like, what is he doing?
(48:39):
He likes you? No one since flowers or doesn't like
the other person. This is not a friendly gesture. And
I can co sign on that I do the same thing.
What's happening. I'm a poor excuse of a man, like
I don't know, I've never said anything otherwise, Like no,
it wasn't that though. I just remember thinking I didn't
want her to wait for something that might not happen.
(49:00):
And I also just wanted to be like, don't give
up because he's sending you flowers for some reason, like
there's a reason for that. Um. And I remember that
night that we were you came over and we were
watching Grace and you told us about him saying his
feelings for you, and it was like I remember texting
you like throughout the time, I'd be like, has he
done anything today? Has he said anything? Letter said text?
(49:23):
I think the thing that's so beautiful is like it
takes a lot for somebody to be vulnerable, Like that's
like really how you find love is true vulnerability, and
that's like what you you have, you embody that so well,
you know, and I think you can always put up
a like you can always put up a wall, and
everybody has that, you know what I mean? Like that
kind of to protect them, and you've always just been
(49:45):
so open, and I think that's ultimately like what led
you to each other. Yeah, I agree. I think Ashley
is one of the most vulnerable people I've ever met,
and you're just very open with your emotions and feelings.
And I think while we're so similar in so many
different ways, that's one area where we're different, because I
think I'm someone who tries to project an image into
the world of like who I'm supposed to be, and
(50:07):
I think I've always struggled Superman complex. It's not a
Superman complex. I think it's just a human complex where
a lot of people want to be seen into the world.
Is confident and funny, and it has everything put together
and they're not a mess and they they you know,
they're like, you know, I I have things to offer,
and uh. And I think it's far better just to
(50:28):
be open with your flaws and and and and accept
the fact that you know you're not perfect and and
and you're gonna have to realize that somebody is just
gonna love you for your imperfections. Um. Because Yeah, I
think that was the biggest hurdle that we had to overcome. Yeah,
Jared was afraid of showing he's imperfections, and I was, like,
(50:50):
you think that that's going to change anything, that's a
big statement. Let's not just glance over that, Like I'm
actually interested in hearing your perspective on it. Only thing
that it's changed is like I thought that Jared would
be like so easy going and laid back, but he's
not as laid back as he seems like he I know,
it's so weird, but he like he is like he's moody,
(51:11):
and I never really knew him. I knew him as
like moody in the way he'd like get quiet sometimes,
like sometimes I wouldn't be able to read him, but
like not to the extent that I know now, And
now I just um need to be more conscious about
like how too, Like I'm always like conscious about making
him as happy as possible. And like everybody asked me,
(51:31):
like why didn't happen earlier? Like why didn't it happen earlier?
And it's like you have someone that I was. We
were really close friends, and you just had an idea
of who I was as a man, and it was like, Ashley,
I'm not that guy. And if I let you in
you're going to realize that pretty quickly. And I think
there's been moments in our relationship where you've you've you've
kind of seen like different sides of me where I
(51:53):
can get quiet and I can really just need to,
like I need to be by myself for a while.
What's your zodiac signs? Just Corpio to a definition, and
what's your side Pisces, so like if we want to
get into the whole astrology of at all, Like we're
both pretty much equally emotional, but I am very open
and expressive about it. And Scorpio, you guys hide it
(52:13):
done your love language tests. We haven't done that test
or the personality test that everybody wants. Literally, if you
do the love language test, I swear, and I'm not married,
but it'll make your I know what I am like
your marriage. All my married friends about it, and they're like, Tanya,
you're like like marriage, whisper. Like the love language test
(52:34):
literally will bring you close. I swear, is this different
than just knowing what? Ye? It's fifteen minutes. I promise,
please do it for me, all right, so you'll send it.
You could tell me that I'm may be different than
touch and words of affirmation. Yes, and so you have
to give Jared love the way he received it. And
then can I interject them for a second, But like,
(52:57):
I'm interested, because do you really need an online us
to tell you that? Or is it more so reading
Ashley and then being around her all the time and
realizing what she needs and what she doesn't need. So
you might think that you know, but you don't. You
need the test, you know, but you don't know. You
don't know the documentary. Take the test and then the
(53:19):
thing is the biggest mistake that we make is we
give love. Beck and I have to do this all
the time. We do we do? You have to do
it as a friendship. Yeah, literally every relationship in my life.
I make every person that's like in my circle take
it because it affects every relationship. So like the way
that you receive love is the way that you give love,
(53:40):
but that might not be the way that they receive love.
So like me, I like quality time that doesn't need
you don't need it. She knows when I need it
that she she'll give it to me because she's like,
I know, you like breadcrumbs here and there, sprinkling around,
(54:01):
but it's true, I swear like, just do it, please,
just do it. Do it out of curiosity. I think
it's fun just to do it. Like, it's not like
it's gonna save your marriage if you're I don't think
it's like the single non married marriage was. It's either
this quiz or it's over. So that I mean that
ties me into my next question. Then the two of
(54:22):
you individually, because I think you both have perspective. I
want to hear from. What is your advice to Jared Nashley? Becca,
you start, don't look at me if you're gonna laugh
every time, Becca, it's comforting. You should look at me
and just feel at home. Becca, though, what is your
advice for these two? Um? I would say, I think
(54:42):
that y'all do such a great well. I first of all,
I love your love for um things that you're passionate about,
Like you're so passionate about the Patriots, and you're so
passionate about Jonas brothers, and you both like really respect
and like get passionate with that person even though you
of like zero interests in either. You know, like all
of a sudden a big Giants fan that Actley is
(55:05):
supports Tom Brady and Giselle and how can you not
support Tom and Giselle, that's my question. But she's really like,
you'll both have really stepped into that role and you're
both fangirl about things, which is I know it's like
we joke about it, but it's actually a really if
there was a love language for fangirling, all three of
you would have it. Wait. That is actually one of
(55:26):
the first things that drew me to Jared was that
he like obviously had this He's like very pop culture educated,
which was attractive to me, but the one that he
was able to like put out trivia you get it,
it made me feel like because the way he talked
(55:46):
about movies and stuff made me feel like, this guy
gets my culture. Yeah, I guess my advice would be
to like keep being there for each other and like
things that you care about, because I think that's a
big part of what makes you all so special. And
like it's really fun to watch because even though I
knew that you did not know every lyric to every
(56:08):
Jonas brother song, like you were down there just like
loving watching her be excited, you know, and same when
it comes to his sports that you like and Rob
Thomas like I'm I like his Instagram, so yeah, you like, yeah,
that's dedication. You like his instagram, so I feel very
attuched to him and his wife. Weirdly, people, what do
you think? What's your advice as the wedding whisperer, the
(56:31):
un married wedding whisper marriage whisper. I talked to my
future husband. It's fine. She brings him and she's bringing
him in. I'm bringing him in write to him and
Stuff's the question mark right now, but that makes sense.
But what is your advice the two of them? Um?
(56:53):
I like, I think that you guys just like respect
each other so much, and I think there's something so
beautiful about like your team to me, and that's so special,
you know, to like go through life with somebody that
always has your back, and like, I just genuinely feel
like you guys are like ying and yang, you know,
like I saw you guys when you were in Nava
(57:14):
and Ashley was like, you give me, Like I just
like little things like that, do you know what I mean?
I just feel like your your team, your unit, and
you make each other better and just keep being that way,
you know, like when somebody's down with the other up
and vice versa, because life is peaks and valleys and
you guys do such a great job. Like I really
genuinely like I've been growing my love for Jared, like
(57:37):
over the past year, and you really know, seriously, as
I've gotten to know you, I'm like, I'm really I'm
so happy for Ashley that she like has you to
do life with. She's basically saying, at some point, if
you all want to in turn to a throuble she
is Jared, Yeah, like if you have brothers or cousins,
like you have your brothers, it's too bad and actually
(58:00):
has met my cousins, you either want to. I'm actually
trying to date Kevin Jonas introduced me to his brother
in law and yeah, that's funny. Been there, done, not
done that. That wasn't the one, the one for a second?
What the hell is that? This is good? This is
when things get good. Let's sit in it. Yeah, let's
(58:21):
talk about it. Wait, he's so cute. Yeah, he's really
cute now. He was cute then too, But I was like,
very like, I can't date Mike. If I'm gonna date
Joe one day, it's not a good situation. Like you
gotta meet Danielle's brother. This is apparently his move. The
Jonas Brothers better listen to this podcast because they've gotten
(58:42):
the most support of any podcast ever from this little segment.
Tanya and Becca, we love you, We appreciate you. Keep
crushing it on, scrubbing it in with Becca and Tanya
and also Tanya, what are you up to these days
outside of the podcast? On Arth Ryan Seacrest, Baby, Becca,
what are you up to? Like Instagram stuff, love Instagram.
Thank you to appreciate it. We're gonna bring Nick in
(59:05):
Kindle up now. Nick and Kindles come on up. And
while they're making their way up here, gonna pause for
a second to talk about Crate and Barrel. It's obviously
our wedding, but I do have to say that throughout
all the stress of planning, I do need some me time.
It's actually more important than ever, and my morning routine
(59:26):
has been enhanced by some of the gifts that Jared
and I have been getting from our wedding registry from
Crate and Barrel. These gifts have been coming in far
before our bridle shower and our wedding, and it's been awesome.
I've gotten the best like fluffy, soft Turkish towels, robes,
bath mats that make my morning shower and my coffee
(59:48):
so much more enjoyable. You wouldn't even know. I didn't
know this before, but Crate and Barrel actually has a
wide assortment of SPA products like shampoos, lotions, and can les.
So I'll lie in our bath, I'll light some candles.
It's good. It's just like a little period. Jared's gotta
all worked up over there. He loves a good bath,
(01:00:10):
like that man loves a bath and like he thinks,
like he likes thinks water is the sexiest thing ever. So,
like you know, decorate a bathroom nicely, and like Jared's
in a good mood. So, if you guys are getting
married out there, I highly suggest creating a registry with
Crate and Barrel because not only can you get stuff
(01:00:30):
of your kitchen, your family room, your bedroom, you can
also get stuff of your bathroom and the towels are
to die for. You can start your Crtan Barrel registry
now at Crton Barrel dot com slash Wedding Dash Registry. Again,
highly suggest you do your registry or at least one
of them, with Crate and Barrel Crate and Barrel dot
(01:00:51):
Com slash wedding Dash Registry, Nick and Kendall, you guys
are not dating. Kendle is in a committed relationship with Joe. Nick,
are you dating anybody to like Decombrust's face? Uh? No,
you're not. So this is how we're gonna come about this. Then,
I want you we have to wrap this up thout
because I do have a hot day tonight. Do you
(01:01:13):
really all right? Hey, We're gonna speed this up for Nick.
I mean I do, but we have time the Nick.
I want to start with you then because we're gonna
dig into Kindle's relationship with Joke, because it's a paradise
relationship that we're super pumped about. You guys are included
in that bunch too, because we talked about Yeah they
(01:01:36):
were shouted out. Nick. Um, you've lived with Jared when
Jared first moved to l A, Well, I think more accurately,
Jared stayed at my place. Oh here we come? For
how long? Longer than he said? Okay? I wanted him
to keep staying what you wanted him to be staying
(01:01:57):
with you? That I am his company, I'm answering Ben's questions. Honestly, honestly,
it's Jared stayed in my place and he stayed sure
than I expected. Oh, but I have a good question.
I have to say this. Okay, So Jared was living
with Nick when we first started like like like upping
our relationship, and we didn't tell a lot of people
(01:02:21):
for a while, and Nick like it kind of went
over his head. And I was like, does Nick know
like where you're going all the time? And I don't know.
Did you know? Uh? None at first? No, When did
you find out that Ashley and Jared were sneaking around
behind your back? Well? I first noticed Jared being weird
(01:02:42):
when we were going to grab coffee or something, and
I was commenting on Kevin and Ashley's relationship on Instagram.
At this point, Jared and Ashley are friends. Wasn't that
I didn't want to tell Nick. It was just at
a point were when she was telling you about Jared's
emotional and temperamental No, clarify it doesn't. I don't want
(01:03:05):
to think that I wasn't telling Nick on purpose. Asked
the question, you want me to answer the question? I
want to want to preface like it wasn't because I
didn't want to tell you. It was more so it
was just like such a I didn't know where it
was going. It was really emotional. So that's why I
kind of kept it close to the chest, as you should.
That's fine, I don't have to know everything. The next question,
that is, I didn't he didn't answer. I mean, I
(01:03:28):
think it's when he started feeling weird in the car
and he noticed something was up. No, he has keeps
going no, no, no no, no go. I want to hear
the story. We were giving coffee and I was commenting
on Ashley and Kevin's social media activity. I don't remember
what I said, but I do remember Jared's reaction, and
(01:03:51):
it was out of nowhere, just like, well, I want
to talk about it, Okay, Like I don't know why
you're so committed to like Instagram content, but fine. And
then a couple of weeks later, we all went to
Ashley's thirtieth birthday party and I kind of noticed they
were like holding hands on at the table. Uh. And
Jared's living with me at this point, and uh, And
(01:04:14):
so I went to drop off Ashley and and I
looked at Jared and I just said, so, you're gonna
stay at Ashley this tonight. And he's like yeah, and
I'm like, all right, we'll have fun. And that was
that was pretty much it never forget a couple of
days later, we were sitting in the kitchen and we
were talking, you know, football and blah blah blah, and
then you just you you sat in the chair. I'll
(01:04:37):
never forget, and you were like, so, what's going on
with Ashley? Let me clarify he did not sleep over that.
I made it slay later and then uh, it was
just and then you and I I was like, all right,
here we go. And then we talked to him a
couple of hours about everything that happened, and uh, and
(01:04:58):
I'll I just I remember I didn't know how you
were going to react to it. Uh, that was great, No,
but I but I was always about goddamn time I had.
I was always nervous that you were going to react
in some way of saying that I was I was
only jealous and that you know, if she wasn't with Kevin,
that you wouldn't have cared. And but and and then
I just remember the first thing you said after I
(01:05:19):
kind of like just like open up and said anything
and you were like, uh, you said, I'm really happy
for you. No, there's another moment I have to reminisce on.
It was a year before Jared came out about his feeling.
It's like an entire year. And we were at the
I heard jingle Ball and we were there with a
whole bunch of bachelor alone and Nick camp to us,
(01:05:41):
he goes, I don't know about you two, Like there's
I know, there's nothing going on, but like you're probably
gonna get married one day. Yeah, it made sense. Yeah,
you guys. They were way too emotionally attached to each
other not to end up to each other. It was
a you're gonna have a best friend with the opposite sex.
But they were just like christ Um. That's why I
(01:06:02):
said I was happy with Jared because it was it
was like I didn't really understand what his deal was,
Like I don't know, why do you put this much
effort into someone you're not gonna have sex with. It
was always a question I'm not I did I agree
with you? It was always the confusing thing for me.
It was a watching friends. It was like you're going
over there, You're staying on her couch, like you're emostally
invested in this like relationship, caring about everything She's said,
(01:06:25):
there's nothing happening. It doesn't make any sense to me,
like the haircut. Hey, kinda before we move over here,
because we've got a lot to talk about. Nick, I
have a couple more questions for you. The first one, Uh,
there's an email that we got from one of our
listeners that said, there's a rumor going around that you've
made a marriage pack with one of the Ferguson twins.
(01:06:46):
Is that true or false? That if you're if she's
single at a certain age, or you're single a certain age,
you're just gonna get married and do this thing. It's false,
it's false. But I'm down. You know. You know I'm
not against either. I think you're both great. Um. Also, Nick,
you're up to a lot right now. I want to
give you the opportunity to talk about some of your
(01:07:06):
projects going on. Uh. You have a podcast yourself that
is doing really well. Uh can you tell our listeners
about it? I do, thank you. You're asking number tunes
right now? Um? What else I haven't as I just
dropped off the list. I spent a lot of my
(01:07:26):
time with my natural natural habits my essential company. It
takes a lot of my time and it's going really
well and we're growing so um. And I'll give a
vouch here. Those essential oils are different than any other.
It'll smell the entire room up with pleasantries. Not it
smells so good. Whether other essential oil diffuse are things
(01:07:47):
you walk by and you get a good whip. But
those that Nick has us very thank you, Thank you guys.
It's going really well. Um and uh, we're growing. I
hired an intern. I've got that advice from some Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
(01:08:09):
well for you have interns. Yeah, that's we've we talked
about our business models and strategies. Our interns are the best. Um.
And I just shot a new show coming out I
think at the end of the year called The Coupe
with Funny or Die. Some theatrical work that I'm doing
(01:08:30):
and uh what else, Yeah, on that roller skating painting
and for anybody out there. Yeah, so before letting it go,
there's a few things that always surprised me about him.
I told him this out there. There's some stills and
talents of his that shocked me, Like he has some
shocking talents. One is roller skating. Oh my gosh, I
(01:08:50):
saw you ll skate. I'm an angel in the wood.
It's it's really wild. The second is shirtless painting. I'm
sure we've all seen it. Yeah, if you haven't, go
to his instagram you can see some beautiful paint. And
the third is how he answers questions on Instagram. And
here's the talent. It's it's his question answering skills are great,
it's how many you choose to answer that amazes me.
(01:09:12):
Amongst all the things that you're doing, how do you
find the time to go through each one? Or is
there a team? I'm lonely. Hey, that's why we love Nick.
He's honest and vulnerable. Give it up for Nick. Yeah, Nick,
please stay up here for a second. We talked to Kendle.
Want to say two things more about Nick before we
(01:09:34):
move on. Nick should always bring a first date to
the roller rink because it is it's a good it's
a impress an impressive turn onto a date. I think really,
you think so? Yeah? Hold her hands spin around? Great?
And then, secondly, on our our new YouTube show what Now,
(01:09:58):
Nick always brings the comic Really if he has quite
a skill in the interview Room. That's it go Nick
now streaming live on YouTube. Watched the over Here with
Kendall Kindle. You come showing so much love from another
bachelor in Paradise relationship. Give it off for Kindle and Joe.
(01:10:22):
Joe Coulna be with us tonight. Um. Joe is probably
off traveling somewhere right he's on tour right now. He's
um is he hosting it? Um? So it's kind of
like there's a main host and he's sort of like
a co host slash celebrity for like one of the teams. Okay,
so he's playing the game. You know what's so crazy
(01:10:42):
about your love story? Kindle is and I want to
start here. We've got to watch you and this is
prepping for this podcast. This is something that always amazing you.
Guys kind of came in. You were hesitant. There was
like love and then there's distance on paradise and there's
love and there's distance. What was the moment when you
looked at Joe and said, I want this thing to
be I want to leave this thing with you. Yeah,
(01:11:06):
it was crazy because I think I allowed fear to
get in the way a lot while we were on
paradise because there was always the thought of of we'd
be long distance, and I've never done a long distance
relationship before, let alone have a really really serious relationship before.
So I was thinking, with all of this in this
crazy world, how can this ever work? Um? And I
think I think the moment I realized it was when
(01:11:28):
we were on the beach as I was breaking up
with him. I think it was the moment where um,
I saw that he wasn't like fighting for it, and
I was like I expected him to fight, and um,
the fact that he wasn't doing Yeah, but the fact
that he wasn't doing No. Kendall and Jared, you're either
(01:11:54):
the same scenario, hard to get until you play too
hard to get and then you lose the person, and
then you realize I could actually potentially lose something that
really means a lot to me and we I would
just see it as something that was really fun and
we'd laugh together, we'd be best friends, you know, on
the show, because we hang out. You hang out so
(01:12:16):
much together. And then it was in that moment where
I was thinking, oh, well, I'm not gonna be seeing
this person every day anymore, and I'm not gonna be
able to like talk to this person every day and um, yeah,
I don't know. And it was funny because as soon
as we got to the hotel's right after we had
broken up, there's they asked me where do you want
your ticket to go? And I was like Chicago. I
(01:12:36):
was like, oh's stupid at on my phone. He doesn't
have my number, blah blah. I tried to sneak him
a secret note to you know, gave him my room number. Um.
That note was not delivered. Um. But yeah, so I
guess I just decided to start fighting for it after
I had already let it go. Yeah. The thing I
another part and I talked about earlier, is I haven't
ever been to Paradise, so I don't know exactly that works.
(01:12:58):
But I think each of the couples here could probably
answer this, but specifically I want you to when does
that relationship leaving Paradise actually start to feel real? Then?
Because we watched you his viewers kind of blossom post show,
both of your lives kind of took off and your
relationship took off, and it was in the public eye.
But at the same time, there was always this sense
in my mind that there's an amazing relationship forming as well.
(01:13:22):
How does that happen? When does that happen? And when
did start feeling that real for you and Joe? Um.
I think it started feeling really real after he got
Dancing with the Stars and we were able to actually
pretty much live together for three months because he had
a place out in l A and I was living
in l A. So, um, we got to kind of
playhouse for a bit, I guess you can say, Um,
(01:13:45):
and I had the foster dog that I was taking
care of what the broken hip, and then he was
going off to work and dancing every day, so it
kind of felt like a little family, and UM, seeing
that was something that really and that's how easy it was,
was something that really, Um, it made me excited about
where it can go. And then so now he's officially
living in l A and we're plan house for real.
(01:14:07):
So it's it's been fun to see where it's gone.
And you know, I haven't gotten tired of him yet.
You know, he surprises me every day and I think
we challenge each other every day and we learned from
each other every day, which is it's been exciting. Do
you mind telling us as much as you want on
where do you see this going now? Well, Um, I
(01:14:27):
think the thing is, I don't think either of us
would be together if we didn't see like the long run,
you know, down the line, marriage and everything. Um, but
I think this whole entire thing has been such a
whirlwind and there's so much going on that it's really
difficult to it's difficult to just to stop and to
let everything else that's happening just kind of fade away
(01:14:48):
and to just see each other. And I think we're
taking this year living with each other to realize, like
we actually have to see each other in our relationship
for what it is beside all of the craziness. So
I think living together there has been something that's really
taken away all of the I don't know, all the
crazy things that come along with having the experience like
this and to really see each other for the real
(01:15:09):
relationship that it can be. Yeah, well, we wish you
the best, Um, to switch gears to you for a second,
and then we need to go back to Ashley and Jared,
because I know you both have advice for them and
I can't wait to hear it. Because of what's consuming
most of your time these days, Um, I do have
a project that I'm working on that I'm really excited about.
(01:15:29):
Tell us about I can't say that yet. Well, then
don't tell us about it. Just let us know. We're
supposed to promote it for you on Instagram. Yea, Um,
but yeah, I know there's definitely a couple projects I'm
really excited about. I'm also, um, when will we hear
about it? Um? Gosh, probably with the next week or so. Okay, cool, awesome,
so soon? I mean you sure you don't want to
(01:15:50):
talk about it here? We probably are going to save this.
I'll secretly talk about it. You come back to the
auction in this podcast before you go to the biof oil. Yes, yeah, yeah,
no more guests going over there first. Um. Hey, we
we've asked this question all night. Uh, Nick, I'm gonna
start with you. What is your advice for Ashley and Jared?
(01:16:11):
What kind of advice do you want? You want like
the platitudes, or do you want, like, I know, Jared
and Ashley relationship advice. Jared's such a scaredy cat choose
day are not truth? I'm a truth guy. I like
truth to uh. Knowing Ashley and Jared, I would I
(01:16:35):
would if if if I were to give Ashley advice
to Jared, it's Ashley is a very motivated and very
driven person who can um you sometimes get carried away
sometimes but sometimes in a good way. And I think
it's important for Ashley to um remember that Jared has
a voice, which I think you guys do a good
(01:16:56):
job of. But I think in times UM it's important
when she's really focused on something to just maybe take
a step back. I think also subsequently, I think it's
important for Jared to remember that just saying it's fine
and being a nice guy is sometimes going to catch
up to him and be his fault because if he's
not going to share his voice, he's not going to
(01:17:17):
be heard. And that would be my advice to you guys.
I told you guys, he's just really good at this. Yeah.
And about two minutes he summed up like our relationship
therapy that we had on another I Horror podcast wind Down,
it's um Kindle Nick Instagram dot Com, New Customers, my drop.
(01:17:42):
I would say my advice is um to know that
who you are as people, as madeable and not in
the sense that you're not who the person that you're
with is not the person you are married the sense
that you. I think people tend to think that the
person that they're worth is always going to be the
person that they met or the person that they're with
now or that they get married to. UM, always be
(01:18:05):
curious about each other and always take time to get
to know who the new person is because I can
talk about myself because I'm not the same person I
was yet yesterday, let alone like a year ago. And UM,
so I just always have curiosity with each other. That's
really good advice. It's also something I've read in Cosmo.
Oh they copied me the final question, Um, for both
(01:18:27):
of you, what is your favorite thing about Ashley and
Jared God Um, I would say that neither of you
gave up. I mean, despite everything that happened and everything
you guys have both been through, Um, you never gave up.
And I think that says a lot about your relationship
and where it's going to be. M They're they're annoyably cute.
(01:18:54):
They are. I mean, it's it's annoying, don't get me wrong,
but they are very cute together. They really are. Thank you, Nick, Um.
It's amazing how much you guys are a good match.
I said, you guys should work on perfect. You're right,
that is our biggest difference. Nick and Kendall, thank you
for coming up, thank you for talking. Wish you the
(01:19:16):
best and Kendall will be listening for your big project
announcement within the next let's say, two weeks, just so
we're not sitting on there. Yeah, just just in case. Hey, uh,
we're gonna end the night with a little game. It's
gonna be a blast. Give us a second, because first
we've got to talk about Crate and Barrel. Hey, yes,
you like taking a bath? Right? Oh? I love best.
(01:19:37):
I feel like you're a bath guy, Big Bathroup, Big
spot guys. Jared will like sometimes book hotel rooms solely
because they have a nice bathroom. There's nothing better than
feeling hugged by water. Recently, we've re revamped our bathroom
and like really made that whole bath experience, bath and
showering experience a little bit more luxurious because we registered
(01:20:00):
some items on our Crate and Barrel registry that have
to do with our bathroom. Like, they have a bunch
of stuff. They actually have like shocking products, things that
I didn't think that Crate and Barrel would carry like shampoos,
lotions and candles. That really makes bathtimes so much fun.
And afterwards when you get out of the bath of
(01:20:21):
the shower and you get to wrap yourself in this
soft Turkish towel or robes and you get to put
your little wet foot on the softest bath man you've
ever felt. It really just talks a day far more enjoyable.
It starts it out or ends it. Like I shower
at night, usually Jerry shower is more in the morning.
It ends my day on a point of relaxation, get
(01:20:44):
a better sleep. But there's just something nice about having
a lovely bathroom and we've really started to be able
to create that with the with our Crate and Barrel
registry in the items that we've gotten so far from
it highly suggests checking out Crate and Barrel if you're
looking for a registry you can start. You're a Crate
and Barrel registry now at Crate and Barrel dot com
slash Wedding Dash Registry. Again, if you're an engaged couple
(01:21:07):
out there, please check out Crate and Barrel dot com
slash Wedding Dash Registry. Okay, so here's how the game's
gonna work. We're giving Ashley and Jared a groom cowboy
hat and a Pride white hat. Two. If you need
to sit back to back, you cannot see each other. Please,
you dropped my cowboy hat. Please sit back to back.
(01:21:29):
So they're sitting back to back right now. For everybody
out there listening. We're gonna ask him a few questions
and they're gonna raise which one. Listen, this is how
the game works. Ash Um. She's over there saying that, says,
well it does for a reason. No, no, no, you
need to have to say I don't need two cowboy hats. Um.
So I'm gonna ask a question and they're gonna raise
the hat that they think it relates to the most. Okay, So,
(01:21:54):
for example, the two of you can't be looking at
each other. Jared, please look towards the wall. Sorry, lift
up the hat of the messiest person in your relationship.
They both said, bride. Yeah, good job, Ashley, She's not.
I do like. I like how Jared filled that in there.
It's like, but just in case, baby, you know, he
(01:22:15):
cleans up throughout the day. I clean up like at
the end of the day when there's nothing else. Lauren
do you agree when there is nothing else? Okay, um,
who spends more money? Oh there's pause Ashley with the
when Lauren, do you agree they don't spend much money?
The only difference is she buys beauty products. I buy
(01:22:39):
uh Dove I've talked about in the podcast beat by
Dove Soap. Yeah, my dove is two nine and nine.
Her lover is a little bit more expensive you would
actually be. I mean, I think that is a little
shocking to people that actually is not a big spender
except on beauty products, which the very first time I
ever met Ashley, it's still to this day my first
(01:23:00):
impression of her, and I've gotten to know her so
much better since then. But she rolls in with us.
Something she still has his day is just like chest
full of makeup, Like it's a massive chest with lights
and it looks like it costs two thars it was
to fifty. Oh well it's still expensive, a lot more
expensive than dub so So Ashley, you went with that one.
Who is the better driver? Jared Wins on the driving
(01:23:26):
I have driven with Ashley a couple of times. Scary experience.
It's all right, I mean from the moment that I
first was in a car that Jared drove. I was like, Wow,
this guy drives like my dad. That's a good sign.
And that was like a turn on for her. It's
kind of weird. My dad is a very safe driver.
My mom's a better driver, though, I'll tell you that
(01:23:47):
my mom is a better driver my dad. Ashley's mom's
in the audience tonight, looking beautiful, smiling big, and we're
super thankful to be here. So this is a question
I think that we were all very proud about overdight heart.
Who is the biggest baby when they get sick? Oh,
(01:24:09):
Ashley says Ashley, Jared says, Jared explain, Jared really hasn't
been sick on me. He really hasn't been sicker on me.
I haven't had like a bad cold or flu or
anything like that since we've lived together in the past year.
But I have thrown up in front of him a
couple of times. You haven't been too much of a baby.
(01:24:29):
The only reason I said this was because one night
I wasn't feeling well and you made me a peanut
butter and jelly sandwich and like gave me liquid ivy.
I know it wasn't but that's the only time I
really remember who was better. Can't answer that yet, do
you guys not cook? Just give me a second, Ben,
let me think about this. Make sure you look Jared.
(01:24:51):
You're you're cheating the better cook. Gosh ah oh, Jared says.
Jared actually says both. Okay, that wasn't so bad. So
Jared doesn't consider like making pasta or sandwiches. I never
said anything. She made me a turkey sandwich one time.
(01:25:11):
It was like I cooked for you, and I was like,
wait a minute, making a turkey sandwich. She's like, I
put the toast in the toaster. Was like, that is
not cooking the right amount of like you know, condimenting.
Constant discussion of what is cooking and what is not cooking.
And I am still on the side that a turkey
(01:25:32):
sandwich toast or no toast is not cooking. Okay, So
for everybody out there listening, please email us at Ben
Actually I heard me dot com is making a turkey
sandwich cooking or not cooking? Audience, raise your hand if
you think making a turkey sandwich is cooking. All right, Okay,
So I've really only cooked, like I only make pasa
(01:25:53):
and like is it warming up, boiling pasta and then
putting sauce on top of it, cooking too more of
a Jared has only beyond that. Jared did it once
and he made me steak and like Brussels sprouts and
mashed or big potato, which that's real cooking. But he's
only done it once, so I don't know if I
(01:26:14):
can really so he wins, so he went. Okay, next question,
when you first met, let's flashback to the very first
time you met, not after any love had been sparked.
Who made the first move? Ah? Oh, there is a
big pause. There, there's a big pause, and they both say, Jared, Jared,
(01:26:37):
please explain why you think you made the first move? Well,
because Ashley was more open with her feelings. But I
was the first. I was the person to kiss Ashley first,
which is the move. That's the move. And he did
it really, really well. He was like, so like, you know,
you wait, I really don't want to wait for the
perfect moment to do what I gotta do, you know,
(01:26:58):
And then I was like, yeah, I know, and then
he went right in for it. It was cut. It
was something along those lines, something al those lines. Adorable. Okay,
three more questions. They're gonna give it to the audience
for a few minutes to ask any questions they want.
We'll close up out of here and we'll call it
a great podcast and give our thank you to some
people who have made this thing happen to night. Three
(01:27:20):
more questions. Who said I love you first? Well, they
both say Jared, true or false. Jared said I love
you first. I said on Bachelor in Paradise I would
love with him. Now you said you you what happened
on Bachelor in Paradise is you called Lauren in the
car ride home and Lauren said, well, were you in
(01:27:43):
love with them? And you were like, no, but as
close as you can get. Yeah. But in Bachelor in
Paradise three, I did say like, but I love it. Yeah,
but with the like the first like I love you
was Jared. Yeah. Okay. Final question, who does the dishes?
This is not even Jared with the win, Jared with
(01:28:03):
the wind. Thank you, actually, Jared, please turn it to
the audience. Audience. I want to give you we just
got a few minutes, let's say five minutes. Raise your
hand if you have any questions. We have somebody with
a mike walking around, somebody's got to have a question,
what are you I know you already lived together, so
that kind of answer is part of it. But what
(01:28:25):
are you most looking forward to? Like literally the second
after you get married, what's the first thing you're most
looking forward to? Both of you? What do you mean
like on the wedding day or just maybe after the
wedding days over. And I'm I'm really looking forward to
the honeymoon because I want, I want. I think it'll
be nice for Jared I to actually get out of
the country, like to really detach ourselves that much. Um,
(01:28:48):
we haven't, like when we go on vacation and stuff.
It's not always it's like sometimes like tied to business
and stuff like that. I'm like excited for the honeymoon
to be truly just romantic. And I've always like dreamed
of a honeymoon being like by definition, like you go
the day after the wedding and it's just like a
super romantic vacation. And that's That's what I'm really really
(01:29:09):
looking forward to. I think that we should even like
put our phones in the safe in the hotel room. No,
I agree. I think, Uh, sometimes we get bogged down
into like what we do is work and so on
and so forth. And then we actually just took a
day vacation down and like, yeah, we just took a
day and it was so nice and kind of like
(01:29:30):
rebooted everything and you and you just you forget things,
especially as a couple. You know, you you get into
the work day and then like life goes by and
then you kind of like just stop for a minute
and have a moment, even if it's just like getting
a hotel room and you're like, oh no, this is yeah,
that's right, this is this is love, this is romantic
and and and so I think that was a really
(01:29:50):
nice day for both of us. And so that's what
I agree. I'm looking forward to most and wearing a ring.
I'm not gonna lie. I'm so excited wear wing. Wait wait,
is there like anything more attractive than a hot guy
in a wedding ring. You're like, Wow, he's hot and
he could commit. I don't know. Yeah, I tried one
on the other day and I was like, this suits me,
this fits my personality. I've been waiting. It does hil
(01:30:16):
on raising your family. We're going to be in l
A for probably in the next four years. As our
tentative plan. We have so many opportunities out here and
our business is really out here right now. But we definitely,
like ideally plan on raising them on the East Coast,
probably around the New England area, because that's where Jared's
(01:30:36):
from and like truly that's where his heart lies. It'll
be closer to my parents, which are only an hour
away flight wise. It's literally like you blink like Genie
and you're there, And yeah, we both you know, I
think we both consider that home. But I love it
here in l A almost as much as I love
it over there. But um, I feel like after four
(01:30:56):
or five years, it'll be time for him to be
in his home. Yeah, I agree. I think back East
is a little bit more my speed. Plus you know, uh,
friends and you know family are out there, and you know,
nobody's getting younger. So to close out tonight, I need
to take the time to answer these two questions. I think, um,
(01:31:20):
I'd like to take the time to answer these two
questions my best advice for Ashley and Jared. First off,
thank you for let me host your wedding shops. Thank
you for um and thank you to all of you
came in tonight to iHeart Studios to hang out with us.
We appreciate it. Thank you for listening, Thank you for
showing your support. Shout out to the girl who came
(01:31:42):
from Kansas City and anybody who took a flight to
get here. Really mind boggling and amazing. Thank you so much.
I was that fangirl you know she still don't kill me.
No, no no, but seriously, like a big thank you to
all you guys, because without anybody, everybody here you know
who's living in l A that's trying to do something
(01:32:03):
with our lives and taking advantage of the opportunities. Without
you guys, none of this happens. So don't ever forget
that door, forget how much we appreciate you guys and
are thankful um for everything you do for us, the
people here live tonight, UM, thank you, but also everything
out there listening. Ashley and I just found out this
week this is our the week that marks our second
(01:32:25):
year doing the Almost Famous podcast, and today listen than this.
This is crazy. We've had over fifteen million individual downloads.
That means fifteen million listens in this two years that
we've had Almost Famous podcast. It's so awesome. It's so crazy.
But hey, back to the question, what is my best
(01:32:47):
advice for Ashley and Jared Um. Typically, what I'd like
to do in this moment is to just pump you
guys up, because I think marriage is such an awesome
thing and I think it's something that you're committed to
when you're running to full force. But I know you
guys already can it in this choice. And so what
I thought about this tonight, what I want to tell
you is I look at you too, and as I
told you, in the last two years, I've seen this
(01:33:09):
change in you that is admirable but also just one
that I look at and I'm inspired by, Like I
want to have that change. I I want to have
the peace and the confidence um that you have and
I think I'm finding it like I have found it right,
but I've seen it exists because of how you have
handled this situation and how you guys have walked this together.
(01:33:32):
So my advice to you guys is, don't lose this.
Like Jared just said it, In relationships, time goes on
and activities go on, and there's travel and there is distraction,
and all of a sudden you do get sick in
front of each other, maybe more than you want to,
and you lose what exists today. It just happens. But
(01:33:53):
my advice to you guys is to not to lose
this because what you have right here is absolutely beautiful.
It's inspiring, and the world is on your team, and
I'm on your team. So I'm just so that you
guys and I've got a front row seat to witness
something so magical in the sixth or seventh row. But regardless,
(01:34:14):
I'm gonna I was on the list. You're at the
top of the A list when it comes to like
our mutual friendless you know, yeah, yeah, I was on
the A list. That's all that matters. Um. My favorite
thing about Ashley and Jared is this. This is funny
because I think it was said the night when we
were standing out there, but you really do represent this
(01:34:35):
like TV relationship, like this relationship that's storybook like when
when people are around you, it just seems different. And
and my favorite thing about that is you've both kind
of leaned into it and you're both yourselves, which means
as a couple. I'm such a fan of you guys,
because you've made yourselves that much better as people. I've
(01:34:57):
known you both before you met, and now I known
you as you've met, and you both have grown as humans.
And I think as we look at relationships and we
try to commit to somebody, isn't that what we're looking
for is a partnership that just makes us better and
makes us more of ourselves than we ever knew we
could be. And that's my favorite thing about you two
as a couple is I just am so pumped there.
There is not many times in my life I've had friends,
(01:35:20):
um date people well until they get married, where I've
been like so confident, But since the beginning as a friend,
I've just been so pumped that this finally happened and
this day is coming up close. You know, then thanks
so much. This is like the most amazing way of
celebrating our relationship. Like I feel like very warm and
(01:35:41):
fuzzy inside. Well you should. This is about you guys.
We love you, We love them right, Yeah, it's it
was incredible and it's crazy to think that, Like I
know I always kind of reminisce, but like thinking about
like Bachelorette and you and I and like I'll never
forget sitting next to you at men Tall and you
texted me and you're like, man, I was super nervous,
(01:36:03):
but like sitting next to you, calm me. You just
like say the nicest things, and like meeting Nick in
New York when he crashed our season and then like
gone through Paradise with them and living with them and everything,
Like it's just crazy that you go through this weird
experience and then you ended up coming out with you know,
your closest friends, Tanner and Jade, Carly and Evan, um,
you know, and there's many more. Um, it's just it's
(01:36:25):
it's it's wonderful but also just mind boggling to think like, yeah,
this is this is where it all generated from, this
is where it all started. There there, and to close
out this podcast because we do gotta get going, Um,
there's a night Jared and I always felt, I mean,
and I think admittedly so I don't know if it's
because they were personalities the same or not, but we
always felt like the outsiders in the batchlight like we
(01:36:46):
don't belong here. Um, you mean, you're very fantastic looking
men with fantastic personalities. You know, it's so funny. It's
so funny, like how we're all like I'll never forget
Night one. I remember meeting you and both you and
I clicked because it was like, what the hell is
going on? Mcdill's getting drunk la and it was like this,
(01:37:08):
I don't know what the hell we're doing here and
I and and Tanner was so funny because he was
telling me the first time he met you, and Tanner
is like such a big fan of the show, and
he was like, yeah, as soon as I saw Ben,
I was like, yeah, this is the next Bachelor. Yeah,
he's told me that before. I don't get it. But
there's a moment when it was a night that Jared
ended up going home. We were on a carriage pulling
up to a castle in Ireland and we're sitting next
(01:37:30):
to each other and we're like, tonight, like this is
gonna end for one of us, right we you know,
we we expected it, and we said, but this is
gonna be one of the coolest life changing experiences and
who knows what happens next, And this is what happens next.
And I'm so pumped for you guys. Thank you for
(01:37:50):
doing this, thank you for letting me celebrate you guys,
and also thank you to Dunkin donuts. Yeah, not as
good as Generous, not as good as Generous coffee, but
they're doughnuts but a close second. But their donuts heavenly
pie holes and half bay hairs. For providing our dessert
bar that's been outside that you guys have enjoyed. Also
(01:38:13):
a big round of applause for creating Barrel once again,
for putting this whole thing on to make sure. If
you're getting married or if you just want some more
stuff to make your house look better, Uh, go to
them for the wedding registry. Just also go shopping. It's fun. Yeah,
it's been a pretty awesome being able to do this
(01:38:33):
with gram Barrel. They have such incredible stuff. It's super nice.
It's awesome. There's dessert and gift bags outside forever that came. Hey,
i've been been I guess I've been jarred. Later, everyone
who is part of this podcast, Okay,
