Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with her radio. Hey, guys, welcome to the Almost Says Podcast.
We're hanging out here in Lake Tahoe thanks to Protein
one bars. They got us all here somehow, all of
us have gotten here. Do you guys want to rundown
for who is here? Well, right across the table for me,
I am sitting with Crystal Nielsen. Are you going by Radon?

(00:24):
But but I'm not. I'm actually sticking with Crystal Nielsen.
Actually coach Crystal. We'll get back to that in a second.
We also have Analye and Kaylin in the house, and
my fiance Jared Dean is somewhere as always and he's
with Wells Golfing. And you have Tasha Tasha where she
and Amanda with her daughter kids. So that is quite

(00:45):
a pack. And everybody flew out from somewhere else in California. Um, oh,
oh my goodness. Vanessa is she a haund right now?
She's here too. She has not yet arrived, but the
poor thing has been delayed like an entire twenty four
hour in Chicago or something. She's had some really bad
plane experiences when it comes to coming out for iHeart events.

(01:08):
I feel really bad for her. This is like the
second straight trip where she's been starting at an airport
for hours on it. Yeah, okay, well, um, we're gonna
try to get Bawn on the line about five minutes.
So this gives Crystal Ye some girl talk time. Um.
Crystal was like seriously and we sat down. She was like,
are you okay? I'm just super prissled. I need to

(01:28):
like take break into your hands. Are you're gonna do
like a common breath and big breath out? What I'm
gonna do that again? Big breath in? A listeners out
here following our lead and just hiving three last one
for you? Then ah, there we go. Feel better? Yeah

(01:52):
a little bit. It's those deep breath girl, pull yourself
back into your body, just like being bread that well
you like walk literally Ashley walks right in through the door,
sets her suitcased out, and then comes up and puts
on her headset and I was like, what, like we're
doing this? You're going right, and like what a boss woman.
Jared and I came. We we had a six am

(02:13):
fly out of Boston this morning to Tahoe, had a
layover in Phoenix. We were up till midnight last night
for a good reason. We went to a Rob Thomas concert.
We're now officially not just a friend friendly with Rob.
You're like just straight up the front of them, which
is pretty awesome. Is he coming to the wedding. There's
a very slim chance. He said he has some things
to attend to with his wife that week, but he

(02:35):
wasn't invited, and he very much appreciates the you know,
those sentiments. But he's very super awesome. Jared has definitely
got me on the Rob Thomas train. But then it
was just like, it's just those I think it's funny
when when Ben's here and he's like, actually, you're getting married.
Do you feel full of love right now? I'm like, Ben,
I'm gonna say I feel full of love right now,

(02:55):
but I'm really just full of freaking stress because it
is that last two months going into the wedding where
you're like, I need that week to come now because
these small details that I never would have thought would
cross my mind come up. What is stressing out the most? Well, okay,
just a great example. My wedding planner just sent me

(03:15):
an email. There was we thought that the band was
going to cover these movie scores that we're going to play.
But the band doesn't have strings, and I go what
I go to? The whole point was to have a cello,
a violin and a piano to play movie scores during dinner.
It would be awesome, right, This is one of like
jarity detail oriented. It's just it's one of the personality here.

(03:42):
You want to freaking tell her. So we found out
that the orchestra. We have this band, Um, they're coming
in our wedding planners just like obsessed with them. But
last week we realized that they've been calling themselves an orchestra,
but truly they're a band because there's no string and
I go, oh, I've been assuming an orchestra I would

(04:02):
have strings. So anyway, we just watched like a YouTube
clip of No I Know performed. They have different varieties, okay,
and we have the variety that it comes without the strings.
So we had to go and get a trio. Am
I boring everyone already now? So we had to get
um figure out a trio in the area that could
play our date. So my wedding planner and his team

(04:24):
find one. But I just while pulling up to this
cabin found out that they want to charge hundred dollars
for just thirty five minutes. What eyes were like, bug out?
Yeah really, so I'm like, are you freaking kidding me?
You know I have a solution. Can we just like

(04:45):
sync up Spotify and just play it over a speaker
to create the same effect. You can hire like like
an actor, like those improv actors that we tend to
play like really they're not actually like it's just a speaker.
I'm just saying, like when push comes the shop, let's
be resourceful here, all right, I think I'm going I
got a month subscription. You can have it like it's

(05:09):
yours by getting Well, I'll let you know if you
have to revert to that, but I'm absolutely not paying
anyone five minutes supply and demand. Well, you're in Rhode Island,
so it's like the population of like a thousand people,
like the chance to feel like the only people in
the entire state. Yeah, what was the number one stressful
thing for you guys? And playing the wedding? I know

(05:30):
that like ABC really took care of you guys, as
they do with all their weddings, But what was like
something that you had a difficult time deciding on. I
would say, Um, what was just really really stressful for
me was hair and makeup. I didn't have a hair
makeup trial until less than twenty hours before the Oh.
I remember it was like it was I was having

(05:53):
so much anxiety, and I think, really what it was
was just, um, you're just nervous. And we hadn't written
our vows until the morning of that question, what in
the world are you thinking? You know, I just need
to be inspired. And I thought, Chris, and I'm going
to allocate some time too. I thought we'd have the
time to go to the beach and have this romantic

(06:16):
moment where we write it, you know, under the stars
and a shooting star goes back, have it like it's
just like time goes by so fast and suddenly you're
there and suddenly it's the day before we're leaving, and
just so much accommodating with friends and family, and for us,
it was just it was a lot of people constantly
coming in that it was really fun and exciting, but

(06:37):
kept us from things like writing our vows until the
day before. But I will say that once I had
them done, Um, I said everything I wanted and I
had to do it in that Moment's great, writer, Dan,
you wanted to find a moment that inspires and is
amused for you because like you do want like a

(06:58):
romantic quiet time, and in the midst of this last
minute wedding planning, you don't really find that. You find
yourselves like more like what arena do with that? Wouldn't
do that, and like less of it, like less of
its romantic and honestly, like Chris and I, we have
been talking with ABC for months but we didn't get
the final confirmation until like a month before. I remember
when we asked you were like, is it happening? And

(07:18):
You're like it was like You're like, um, it's still
kind of up lying on it and say it living
the weekend open, I'm like, am I getting married or not?
Do I start like this workout program or where's my car?
But my ratio right now? But you know it all
worked out, and I do have to say like you're

(07:39):
there in that moment and looking around and it was
wild because it was like our family plus like a
bunch of cast and you're there. I'm just someone fool
there to celebrate you and you and Jared were there
and It was just so nice to have, you know,
like our friends just be there in that moment um.
It was so exciting because you guys are getting married
and Raven and Adam were there. They just it was
the first time I ever met Raven and Adam. First off,

(08:02):
can't believe we haven't have them on the show, Amy.
We've gotta get on that. Um. They are awesome, really
really like it just felt warm and their presence art
off the bat. Really enjoyed them. I actually slat Adam
at the gym the day of the wedding. You met
him for the first time. I did. Yeah, at the gym.
I was there with all my friends and we were
all doing this like circuit style work out, like twelve

(08:22):
of us and at least I think was there. She
was she there that day or the day before, but
we took over the gym. That are still a little
work out her day the day of her wedding. Um,
so of course, yeah, I gotta get that triset pump.
You think that's real, Like it really like if you
do it the day of, like you get the definition
you do. But most importantly, you just get in like
a mental space where you're like Okay, I got this. Okay, well,

(08:46):
m apparently Ben has arrived before we get bit on
the line. Lit it, lets us stop to give a
little thanks to the reason that we're here in Tahoe
protein one. Hey Ben, Hey, well you sound crystal clear,
but you are not here in Tahoe with us. Why
aren't you here? By the way, can you tell us?

(09:07):
I'm having the wildest like four days ever. So I'm
in Chicago right now for a board me for Humanity
and Hope United, and then for Generous and then i
leave up tomorrow for Switzerland to play in the Ryder Cups,
celebrity golf outing that they do every other year. So
I'm flying to Switzerland. Oh, I didn't know you were

(09:28):
going to Switzerland for a golf tournament. I thought you,
you and Jess we're just going to romantic getaway. No,
it's a golf tournament. So I'm representing the US of
A in Switzerland for five days. It's like the Ryder Cup.
So if you're a golf fan, Um, there's best ball matches,
Um there is alternate shot matches and uh. And then

(09:49):
I'll be coming back to the United States in a week.
I'm Jack Jess is going with me. It's gonna be
a really good time. You're really following Chris Harrison's footsteps
when it comes to being like an almost pro golfer.
I uh, yeah, you know what. That's a great title
on my gravestone. Is almost true. That's awesome. Well, um,

(10:14):
I know that you'll be packing your protein one bars
in your pocket because those eighteen holes are probably gonna
last a long time. Oh, you better believe it. When
I get hungry on the course, there's only one way
to fill me up, Protein one, Protein one. All right. Well, then,
thank you for checking in with us, especially when you're

(10:36):
so so busy. I'll try to hold the fort down
here as best as I can. Ashley the best. Oh,
you're gonna have to do this for me when I'm
on my honeymoon. You're gonna have a couple of weeks
where I am not going to look at my freaking phone.
You shouldn't actually get away. We'll talk all about alright
bye man. Alright, guys, we are back with Crystal and

(10:56):
we were talking about the people that were at your wedding.
Thank you for inviting us, Thanks for having us there.
I think, um, when people think Bachelor wedding. One of
the first questions that comes up is how many people
do you have to have there that you've never met?
Like you just said you met Adam for the first time,
and then how many people have you only met once
or twice? And then you kind of just have to

(11:17):
have them for ceremonial reasons, and there's an allocated space
of people you've never met at your wedding. So it's
so crazy. But you know, Chris, we knew that going
into it, and I think ultimately what it was was, um,
maybe it was a little sooner than when we thought
about getting married, but the fact that we were going
to be able to have our family and friends and

(11:39):
do it where we had our first day, and you know,
Bachelor has been really good to us. It's how we
met and have supported the development of our relationships. So
it was it was a leap of faith and we're honestly,
like Mary, life has been incredible. That's awesome. Do you
have any regrets about doing it in Paradise? I know
we're all going to see it in Dice when it

(12:00):
starts airing in August. I'm sure you know the actual
date and can't release it yet, so I won't even ask,
but is there? I actually don't know the day, so
I'm just like surrendering to the entire process. I'm just
rolling with it. So was that a little bit of
a regret that you had to be so hand off
hands off and just like let them do their things.
So you know what's so funny is, like I said

(12:21):
years and years ago, I go, if I were to
ever get married, it would be in Mexico, and I
wouldn't want to plan anything except for the dress in
the cake. And it's so funny. What you what you ask,
you shall receive. And I was really cool with it
up until the last couple of weeks or the last
few weeks, because our family and friends didn't even have
their hotel until like their flight or hotel until like

(12:42):
ten days before, so everyone was and we were just
the middlemen. So that was the only stressful part. I
would say it was challenging to not be able to
give them like definitive answers um, But ultimately, I think
what I really learned about myself as well as Chris
throughout this process was just that life is on folding
around you, and sometimes when we have preferences about how

(13:03):
things should be. We really just create resistance and things
don't move smoothly. But when you let go and you
just surrender, it just unfolds as it's supposed to. And
I will say that I am a little inspired because
I just read The Surrender Experiment by Michael A. Singer
and it is the best book I have ever read,
next to Becoming Michelle Obama. So good. Okay, well, that

(13:27):
sounds like a really interesting theory. I think, like a
lot of things in my life have happened best when
you do just like let go and you're like, Okay,
if it's meant to be, it will be, and then
it comes. I think you just let go and just
have faith and you just focus on the feelings that
you want to feel. You don't focus on what if
this bad thing happens or what if I feel really
stressed out. You're just like, I'm just gonna really, it's

(13:47):
gonna work out exactly as it's meant to be, and
nothing I can do for I have a couple of
thoughts from all this that we've talked about. Your makeup
and hair looked fantastic, So even though you have had
to wait and stress about that, look. The first time
I saw you walking down the I was like, well,
her hair and makeup on hills because they like flew

(14:08):
in some girls to do my makeup. And I will
say when those girls came in, one of them looked
just like Jesse James Dekker and the other looked just
like co Coo Kardashi And they were literally my squad
that just like brought me it maybe like enjoy it,
and they made it's fun and it made me feel
really really beautiful. So it's important for like the bride

(14:30):
to you know, feel good with the hair, in the
makeup and the dress. Just the only day it really
really really matters, like even in um comparison to just
like days that we're filming Bachelor shows. At the end
of the day, if you look crappy on one episode,
it's on the end of the world. Whatever. So I
haven't even seen photos from the wedding. Well I saw,

(14:54):
I saw the people and it was like two photos
and then they did like one of our wedding cake topper.
I was gonna say always, at the end of the day,
you got to pick your dress that was super important
to you, and then you got to pick your cake.
Because I think because of what you had on the
top of the kick, could only you guys upgraded? Okay,
So Chris and I went into this place called Dube

(15:15):
d O O B in San Diego and we went
in with Wayne and Chucky are Dogs and went into
this room with like nine cameras and all of them
simultaneously took a photo of us, creating a three D
like a very detail, the three D depiction of us
that it was like, honey, I shrugged the kids and
the guy and the dogs and that was It was

(15:36):
so cool. I stared at it for like a solid
ten minutes. So this is the coolest one and kick
of ever. So Wayenne and Chucky looked fantastic, but Chris
and I looked like that photo that's going around where
like ages you we look he had gray hair. You
didn't look exactly accurate, but I thought like he looked
like himself, and I thought he looked handsome on the
top of the kike. I know he was very offended

(15:57):
by the portraits, like I look like a white walker.
It's like it's ongoing joke. But it was fun. It
was us and it was just us being goofy and
I think we really wanted that to come through with
the wedding. Great, that's awesome. Um, a couple of days
after the wedding, I will actually know. On Instagram we
saw it was a couple of days after the wedding

(16:18):
that you got your actual certificate in America married couple.
JAREDI are super nervous, Jared, and I don't know how
to go about this. Can you please explain? So simple?
So simple? You guys, you guys should give me a
look like it was like, don't bring this up. We're

(16:38):
not actually married. That's why I started there. You are
actually paperwork. No. I was like, wait what No, that
was actually an old photo when we applied for the license,
So that was an old photo like Chris, you know,
brought in. But the process was really simple in San Diego.
We just made an appointment for the next day when
and applied and that was it. And then who do

(17:00):
get it signed by? Like did Chris Harrison sign? He did?
He signed it in Mexico, and then you brought it
back to the States and submitted it. Okay, so all
you need is to go and get the application, you
bring it, you sign it, have two witnesses like they're
just close friends sign it in some cases, and then
you have your actual efficiant Chris Harrison or whoever we
have officiating our wedding, go and submit it. Do they

(17:23):
have to submit it or can we submit it? Yeah?
You submit it. You mailed it. And there's a thing
like with out of the country weddings where you need
to get married first. I want to do that, Like, yeah,
you just go and get literally married first, and then
like you have like the ceremony in the celebration. Yeah,
so it's fun, it's super easy, and it was. It
was wild honestly because it's really you do it before

(17:45):
the ceremony. So it's like, who do we like at
the aisle you are married, And I want that too.
I don't want to like have the ceremony and then
have to deal with the paperwork like I want to
at the end of the day be like, no, we
are married at all capacities of the word. Yeah, you
know what I'm going to tell you, Like at that

(18:05):
when you go to bed that night, you were going
to sleep like a rock. You're like, we did it.
It's over, we made it, and we're still together. The
magazine spread, you said something like you stayed up super
late that night. I was like, I'm pretty sure we
left at twelve and you went to bed. Did you
stay up? So we get back to our room and
there were people there was staff in our room coordinating

(18:29):
luggage for like our guests, like our bridal party, and
I was like, um, we're husband and wife like and
you're in the bridles, we can you like? And they
stay there for like forty five minutes, and that part
I was like getting I was pretty nice until I
was a little like, gotta go girl to go wedding
night over here before we wrap up with Crystal. I

(18:52):
think a lot of people are gonna be like, wait
a second, how did your family and friends not have
hotel rooms and flights ten days to the wedding. That's
how they do things on The Bachelor, a little insider knowledge.
Even people who go to Paradise like they don't get
their their flight into like five to seven days before
they leave. So are yeah, you you just honestly, you

(19:12):
just have to know if anyone listening ever wants to
go on The Bachelor, um or the Bachelorette, just know
that you have to fully let go and just roll
with it and that was really interesting to see because
we're used to it being in that environment, but for
our family and friends for them to be like, what
do you mean we don't have hotel? What do you
mean you can't tell me where we where we're staying

(19:33):
or what my flight is because they couldn't like let
that information out too early because I didn't want press
to come and find it. Um, that was really an
interesting listen for them to like so funny, I know,
and you're like trying to reassure them, I think, like,
what's gonna It's like there's certain things that we're probably
doing because it's more like a more of a press

(19:54):
oriented type of wetting them and they would obviously ever
be used to and they're like, I think it's really
crazy that like we're getting our dresses like two or
three weeks before the ceremony, and I'm like, I know
that's just how it's gonna go. And that they had
that long. My people got it like the day before
they left, because I had bride's men. I had like

(20:16):
three guys and girls, and so I've got like the
day before they flew out, they got the talks. It's
like crazy, it's such a fun wild ride and you know,
like looking back, it's a it's an adventure and nothing
that's always signed up for. Alright, Chryst, Well, thank you
for joining us and telling us like really so many

(20:36):
little like exclusive titbits about the wedding. Really really appreciate it.
Thanks for being here in Tahoe with us, and thanks
for supporting our love for protein one as a health nut.
I feel like you're gonna take a couple of these
bots that peanut butter one right now. They're basically tastes
like chocolate bars, but they give you protein and they're
good for you and energy. Done all right? Now, up next,

(21:00):
we have Caitlin and and Antlie. Are they gonna go
on together? Yeah, we're gonna have Kaylin and Antalist come
on together. But before we get them on, let's take
a quick break. All right, and we're back with Analis
and Kaylin, two members of the original cast of Paradise season?
Are we six? Six? Okay? Ever, I was gonna say seven.

(21:23):
I was going to have like a mind free uh
an confused? I think it's six. Yeah. Four was the
one that I got the whole controversy that was the
end season and then there was last season, which was
like the Colton Tia triangle. Now there's your season. Um, okay,
So before we go on, I know a lot of
people are going to be like, actually, you and Ben

(21:45):
were so critical of Klin before like last season, and
I don't want to like address anything on the podcast.
I just wanna tell you guys like Kayla and I
have had a talk and we're friendly now, and I
was I was basically just if it was like, you know,
a lot of it is us having to watch as
fans and say, we'd have to say, for a fans
point of you, I have no I don't know her

(22:05):
in real life. I met her for the second time
ever a couple of weeks ago, and it has had
a little you know, a little off the mic chat
and I'm going to get to know Calin more this weekend.
It's excited about and everybody is saying like the greatest
things about her, especially in the past month or so.
So I was thinking about that, and it makes sense

(22:26):
like you're looking at it from a fan's perspective and
you you don't know us, So it's like I wasn't
perceived the best way on my season, and I wasn't
my best self, so like it makes perfect sense. Well,
thank you. Yeah, I know it's really hard. There's a
lot of people. It's like just from like writing my
recaps and being on this podcast. It's like if we don't,
if we're totally uncritical, then we're gonna get like then
we're gonna be the most born people ever to talk about.

(22:48):
And then people are gonna be like, this is not
relatable because we're watching the show and we're criticizing at home.
But it's kind of cool too because you're getting you
you're like a voice to people who are also seeing
maybe Kylin and going like, oh, we don't like her,
and then you are going to get to know her
and you know, have your opinions changed too, So it's
kind of it's interesting, like that's why I was with Crystal,
you know, yeah, I think everybody looks at Crystal um

(23:11):
and then I'm PARTI became great friends, so it's like
it's it's it's just also it's like showing that you
should get to know people and not and you know,
we all we're all going to judge each other on
the show watching it, but then once you get to
know people, you get to know the full full side
of them. Yeah, I want more to us. I can't
go into full detail, but my opinion has already changed
so much from the one that the show developed for me. Um,

(23:35):
but I mean I've a little talk about that some
other times. Once Bachelor in Parasite Paradise starts airing. But
let's talk about well, let's talk a little bit about Paradise,
but not get into explicit details. Explicit is that it's
explicit because it's that a word like a sex word,
or is that it can keeping out of your sex

(23:56):
I heard you say that, no idea how much sex
is podcast. I'm so tired of the word. It's always
felt uncomfortable me to say, you know. But anyway, so
let's not talk about it. Um, let's go one by
one as to why Kylen's start with you, Why did
you choose to do Paradise, especially after having a rougher

(24:17):
edit on the right. I think that had a lot
to do with it, Like, I'm so one of the reasons.
I'm the only single person in my friend group, So
I was like, if I go in Paradise, there's hopefully
I'll walk away with someone. But then I was also like,
I wasn't myself on my season. I was I don't know,
I just I had a good time. But the way
I won't even blame it on editing, the way I

(24:38):
was like wasn't myself. So I was like, if I
go to Paradise and I'm just completely myself, people can
hate me, but hate me for actually knowing me, and
I would feel a lot better about that. Okay, well
that's great. I think that. So. I think Paradise is
usually the perfect way for people to, like for the
audience to get to know the real person, because it's

(25:00):
less of a chopped down version. On The Bachelor, they
have to show the personalities of twenty girls. On Paradise,
you're showing a lot, You're you're showing quite a bit
of storylines, but you're focusing a lot more on people's
true personalities. I was completely people. People were critical of
me on every season of mine, but I think they

(25:21):
started to like understand me and relate to me and
like have more of like a sympathetic bone for me
starting in Paradise. And I think that's definitely gonna happen
with you. What do you Why do you come back
after literally having the worst experience last year. Yeah, I
mean it wasn't It wasn't like a real quick decision,

(25:42):
you know. I had to think about it um a bit,
and I sort of it came down to I was single,
and I it's sort of worked for me last year,
and so I was like, well, if it could, you know,
I see Chris and Crystal, I see all these other
relationships that are successful. I'm like, I kind of I
got close, you know, like it just wasn't the right person,

(26:03):
So why couldn't it work this time? So that's that's
sort of where in my head was that. Have you
heard from what's his name? And I'm going to call
him what's name? His name? Because I truly forget his name. Uh.
We have not in a long time now, what's uh
the last time we had any sort of exchange I
think was back in December something or younger. Yeah, it's

(26:26):
been a while without giving anything away. Are you happy
you did again? Uh? Yeah? I think so? Yeah. Okay,
I'm I'm really happy. Okay. Great in life, it's amazing. Yeah,
so good. Um, let's talk about like where your lives
are outside of the Bachelor franchise, Caitlin, you are living

(26:46):
in the same complex as Cassie in l A. How's
that been, Like your your roommates but not roommates, which
is literally the perfect thing you could do. Like, my
sister just moved out of our house and that was
a big step for us. She was living where like
living threes company style for an entire year, and you know,
like Jared loves to say that he was like absolutely

(27:07):
fine with it, but he was definitely ready for her
to like feel more like a couples living situation. But
she moved a mile down the street, which is perfect
for me. And that's kind of how it is with Cassie. Yeah,
So like I don't have to deal with the awkwardness
of like maybe like Colton being there all the time,
but like I get to choose when I go downstairs
as she comes upstairs. Like it's good, it's fun. I

(27:28):
I enjoy it. Colton kind of steals her away a lot,
so I don't really get to see her that often. Um,
but it's fun. That's awesome. Um. Okay, So how has
it been being that third wheel over the past couple
of months before Paradise? Um? Before Paradise it so I
was pretty like chill about it, and Colton it took

(27:50):
him a longer time to warm up to the idea
that was going to say. He must have felt like, Okay,
I like kiss this girl a lot. Yeah, and I'm
kissing my my girl, my very serious girlfriend in front
of right. He had that conversation. He's like, well, I've
made out with her, and I'm like yeah, but like
we're just friends. Like as soon as I went off
the show and I found out I was, Cassie like
flipped a switch and I was like, I'm not attracted
to you, and like you're just a friend to me.

(28:11):
So it took him some time, Like and also he
wants to be respectful of Cassie and their relationships. So
I get it. But now it's like smooth sailing friends.
It's great. Okay, So there was a little awkward bumping there. Yeah.
I always said, I was like, there's no awkwardness, but
I'm like, no, no, no, there was some awkwardness for
a couple of months. There's definitely awkwardness when you interact
with your bachelor for the first couple of times after
being off the show. I think it's something you never

(28:33):
think you're gonna have to, like see him again, You're like, oh,
they're in a different category, Like they don't they're not
going to mingle with us like cast members anymore. And
then the first couple of times, you're like, Hi, it's
like really good to see you. Like, I don't even
know if I really know you, ever talked to you.
Was on camera for like seven minutes, like seven minutes
every couple of days. Yeah, it's really funny. But yeah,

(28:57):
I mean if you're best friends with his girlfriend, then
you're going to have to make that hurdle. Yeah, you
have to make it work. How is it seeing Ari
the first couple of times off camera, I haven't really
seen him very much. Yeah, so I don't I don't know.
I think it would be totally fine, Like because we
never even kissed. I feel like, like you said, I
don't know him, so it would be I think it'd

(29:18):
be fine that you guys haven't even kissed. Yeah, he
was just like some guy that he was like always
hanging around with, like on our Girls trip. Alright, who
who are you both looking forward to seeing in Paradise?
Who are you hoping to be in Paradise? Who's on
that list for you? Guys? Name like three. So I
actually didn't have a list going in this time. Well

(29:42):
I'll tell you why, because last year I went in,
I wanted Camille to be there and I was excited
about seeing him, and so this year I was like,
I'm I'm not even gonna I want to meet people,
just fresh, like not have any judgments about people, not
have um, not be holding out for somebody to walked
down the stairs, like I'm gonna go in, who's there,

(30:02):
I'm gonna give chances to and like very mature. I
just I went into it so differently this year. My
headspace was completely different. So I just didn't really have
There was people that I was like, oh, yeah, they
could be interesting, but there was nobody that I went
in with intent intent. Yeah. I was the opposite. That's

(30:23):
I've always been. I'm like that one or that one
or no one. No, seriously, That's how I was. I
was like Connor s or no one and um. But
also I was like I was so intent on dating Connor,
but I was like, I'm such a personality person I
don't know this guy's personality. He didn't get a ton
of air time on hand of season, so I'm like,
we could mess really well, or we couldn't. So I
didn't want to put all my weight in there, and

(30:46):
maybe I did, maybe I didn't, but I don't think
that was the best approach. Okay, So normally, I know
we've mentioned this on the podcast before, but I want
to remind you listeners out there that with Paradise, normally
the cast only gets to see a couple episodes of
the current Bachelorette season before going in. For mine, I
was able to see two episodes. I think for you guys,
you may have been able to see three three episodes,

(31:08):
so you got to see Connors one on one, and
he must have he must have left an impression with
you there. Yeah. I thought he was really cute and
sweet and thoughtful, and I was like, I really think
I could get along with this guy. And then Colton
put in my ear too. He was like, I think
you and Connor would mesh really well together, and multiple
people kept saying it, so I was like, all right,
it's Connor, no one. That's kind of how I went
into it. Okay. In the original cast, who surprised Who

(31:33):
was a surprise for you guys to see there? Who
did you not expect to see there? Who was there?
Chris Pakowski freaking fatastic answer. I think he Uh, that
was surprising to everyone considering he retired from the Bachelor
franchise about three or four years ago. Yeah. I was
surprised to see Wills there. Yeah. I was too, Yeah,

(31:55):
because I was on Paradise with him last summer and
I was surprised he was back. And then I'm also
really good friends with him, so I was like, what
you're here? Yeah, that was so it was interesting because
I think he kind of went a little m i
A from the Bachelor franchise over the past. That's the thing.
I thought he was kind of done with it, Like
I didn't think even if they asked him, I thought
he wasn't really going back. But there he was. There

(32:17):
was one time we tried to get him on the podcast.
I think it was so I think it's like the
fall time, and he went totally m I A. He
was actually not just from our text, but he wasn't
posting anything on social media and people were genuinely getting concerned,
Like there was like message boards like where Wills go? Okay, Yeah,
there was. I mean there was a couple of surprises.

(32:38):
There's like obviously the people that came from the most
current season. You you expect to see some of those
like fan favorite people, but then there was definitely people there.
The older people from previous seasons were almost all a surprise,
Like Derek was a surprise. I can't even remember Derek
who said on this very podcast about five or six
weeks before leaving for Paradise that he is not at

(33:01):
all gonna do it when certain and we have it
on tape. That's great. I'm glad that we have the
scoop on that. I think what's weird for our season, though,
is that we only had like what four or five
from Hannah season for original cast, Like it was mostly
older cast members. That is true, I feel like there
was a lot of people missing from Hannah's season. Yeah,

(33:22):
it was a random group of Hannah's guys. When I
went back and I was watching Hannah season, I was like,
did he end up going? Did he? And I actually
am like pretty pretty spoiler free, And there's some guys
I'm still not sure if they ever showed up or not.
Maybe they made like little blips, little appearances of the
original cast because we can't reveal any other names. Who

(33:44):
did you form like the closest friendships with Kalen like
girls or guys. Girls and guys, um, I think girls
as a whole. We were all really close, Like it was.
It was just such a great group of girls in
terms of original cast, Like we just had so much
fun together. And guys it was kind of the same,
I think. I yeah, I was close with pretty much

(34:05):
all of the guys too. It was it was just
such a unique group, Like I was so pleased with it.
So I remember talking to some of the girls from
the Paradise cast and they were like, Kaylin has been
like just totally involved with everybody in front of everybody,
which was such a different contrast to when you're on
Colton season. Just like you and Cassie like kind of
buddied up, did you did you like the experience of

(34:27):
kind of like yeah, I think Cassie and I we
didn't mean to be clickie, but we were just so
close that we kind of closed ourselves off from everyone else.
And this time I just friends with everyone. It was
like it was so much fun. I did the exact
same thing my first season of Paradise. For the first
four days, my sister was there, and people were like
actually seems like really nice and cool, but we don't
really know her because she and her sister are totally
inseparable and she's like always having to console her and

(34:49):
they're always like having like sister language talks. That's exactly
how we were. Yes, I understand. Yeah, not the best,
but it's okay. I mean, and sometimes you have to
force yourself out of a situation, like when my sister
left and I was like, okay, yeah, I'm like I
can be sociable now. It's totally different. It's a comfort
zone thing. Um and Atlas, who is there anybody from

(35:10):
this season that you've really clicked with? Uh? I would
say probably Klin and Katie were, um two of the
girls that I didn't know, well, I didn't know you
at all before. Um uh yeah. I just everyone was
so nice, like the original cast, those first couple of
days felt very, very smooth, until until they didn't. Yeah.

(35:37):
When that, guys, just prepare yourself. Which where is she?
She's here too? Yeah? She? I was like, I don't
think you know what you're getting into. I was like,
the Bachelor is like sorority fun time, and Bachelor in
Paradise is like the is an emotional war zone, but

(35:59):
you're also in it just all the time. Like you
never get a break ever in Paradise because you know,
you get to like not be on dates. You get
to lie outside and tan and cooked meals and like
all that stuff, like go take naps and in Paradise, yeah,
the camera is like on a nap, there's a camera.

(36:20):
Probably it's going to get there. It's crazy. John Paul
Jones is part of the original cast, and I know
that he's a favorite amongst like everyone. Can we explain
his personality beyond what we may have seen the little
bits that we saw in Hannah season. He is one
of my favorite people in this world. So Dylan is

(36:40):
probably my closest guy friend. But John Paul Jones is
just like he his edit did not do him justice.
He is so funny, but he's so smart. Everybody keeps
talking about he is so smart. I was like blown away.
I was like, who are you? I did not know.
But he's just He's also very rebellious and he kind
of inspired me to be rebellious. Um, he's just I
don't know. I love and it's like fully him all

(37:03):
the time, like none of it's an act. I think
that's where I sometimes in the Bachelor world, like you
meet people and you're like, oh, they just know how
to turn it on, you know, and um, it's not.
It's just him the whole time. That's his personality. He
just reminds me of like a nineties like the double
popped collar. He's like, he feels like such like a
surfer brother. Yeah, he's like a surfer bro, but then
has that preppy side where it's like, I'm so confused

(37:26):
the fact that he sounds like he just got off
the surf, but he grew up in Minnesota, in Maryland,
he's the same way. He's got that surfer bro. Yeah,
where is he from? I think it's like the same
sort of Connor from Texas, Michigan, Michigan. Okay, yeah, it
doesn't make sense. No, all right? Is there any teasers

(37:48):
you can give us for the Paradise season why people
should watch? Not that they ever need a reason, because
I think it's pretty much everybody, every Bachelor Nation hardcore
fan their favorite part of the year's Paradise. Now, everybody
watches the other shows so they can get fair, right,
But what is like one little teaser that each of
you can give us before we let you go. So
I I know this is like a Chris Harrison saying,

(38:11):
but it definitely will be. I think it's going to
be the most crazy and epic season. Just so much happens.
Like I thought a lot happened last year, so much
more happens this year because last season was fanned. It's
gonna be nutty, Like I don't even know how they're
going to put it into. However many episodes they have,

(38:31):
like they need to order more episodes because there's so
much stuff that happens. I don't think anybody except for
Dancing with the Stars would refuse that. Um yeah, it's
it's drama filled. There's lots of tears, very minimal laughter.

(38:54):
Except for the first three days, everybody it really was
like the day after like that those first couple of
people that like crawl down the stairs, and then like
somebody takes a date from somebody. That's when it always starts,
because the first two days it's like the original casts,
like everyone's friends and everyone's like sort of flirting but

(39:14):
like feeling it out still, and then all of a sudden,
it's like war zone. I haven't heard anything about Demi yet.
From you guys. I feel like everybody's expecting Demi to
bring the drama. Is there anything I think you can
tease their? Demi brings good comic relief when it's needed.

(39:35):
She is so witty and so smart. My gosh, you
know she's so quick. I'm like, can you have your
brain for like even ten minutes? I would love to
know what it would be like to think like that.
Watching her at Women Tell All, I was like, this
is so unfortunate that I can't think like that, And
I could never respond in an argument like no, I
know she's like a person I would never want to

(39:56):
get an argument. I feel like she would just have
too many things to say. So I read this that
made me feel like a lot better about that. They
say that your intelligence isn't based on whether or not
you can come up with things quickly, but if you
can come up with them, like in general. So like,
if you're somebody who can quickly banter back in an argument,
that doesn't necessarily mean that you're smarter than somebody who
can write a thesis about it, like after thinking and

(40:17):
formulating those feelings. So I was like, okay, great, because
I can write, but I can't does I will say
too about Demi, Um, if I can tease this, you know,
we've only seen one side of Demi, and it's like
her quick wit side and her funny side and her
feisty side. And I think we're gonna see a whole
another side of Demi. And I grew to love and

(40:39):
appreciate Demi so much more on this season too. And
I would be um shamed as a host if I
didn't bring up the reports of who you may be
dating Kalin, because some entertainment outlets did report that. So
I'll let you be as veigue as possible if you'd like,
or as detailed does possible, But I need you to

(41:01):
answer that Um Paradise was great. It was It was
horrible and great at the same time. And whether or
not I'm in a relationship or not, you will just
have to wait and stay tuned and watch, all right,
