In a rematch of Week #4, these two teams were prepared to battle for a chance to move on. Deforest jumped out early to a two score lead in the first quarter. Waunakee rallied back to take a 16-14 lead into halftime. In the second half, the defenses' shined with each team only scoring once after the break. In a rematch of Week #8, Middleton and Sun Prairie were ready to fill the highlight reel. The game featured 2 kick-off returns for TDs, several long scoring plays and a safety to cap it off. Sun Prairie's Richie Gilles threw for 200+ yards passing and 2 scores. Middleton's Kallion Buckner tallied 3 touchdowns. Sun Prairie outlasts Middleton 42-36.

Week #5 featured the 25th Battle for Burt Hable's Clipboard between Madison West and Madison Memorial. With 4 mins left in the 2nd qtr, it was all tied up at 7-7. The Week #4 match-up included 2 teams that have had their defenses' shine in previous weeks. Those defenses were ready go early in this game. Don't count out Week #3 of the 2018 season. Oregon traveled to Monona Grove. Monona Grove's Jalen Ostrowsky scored midway through the 1st quarter, then the game got interesting. Between this point and the final whistle, there was a missed Field Goal, several 4th down conversion failures, a couple of interceptions, and a lot of yellow flags on the field. In an attempt to 1-up our Week #1 game, Verona traveled to Middleton. In a rain-soaked affair that went back and forth all game long, the Verona defense sealed it with a big interception with less than 90 seconds remaining in the game.
