Speaker 1 (00:02):
Okay, it's time for kicking it with former Seahawks punter
John Ryan.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Seahawks legend John Ryan, what's on your mind this week?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Well, seen as I'm Canadian who's lived in this great
country that is the USA for twenty years, this is
one of the best weeks of the year for me.
During this week, I get to celebrate Canada Day on
July first and Independence Day on July fourth. But scene
as I'm Canadian, I get asked two questions a lot
from Americans. The first is, why don't you Canadian just
celebrate Canada Day on the fourth of July. Well, that's

(00:31):
like asking Sarah and Gibbons, why you guys don't just
celebrate your birthday on my birthday? Because that would be ridiculous.
The second question I get is how do you celebrate
Canada Day in Canada. The answer has we celebrate a
lot like Americans do, time with family and friends, barbecues
and hanging out close to water. We also wear ridiculous

(00:52):
clothes that look a lot like our flag. The biggest
difference is that in Canada we leave the fireworks up
to the pros. There are dozens of Americans that will
go to sleep on the fourth with less fingers than
they woke up with that morning.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
For me. I'm still thankful to be a Canadian who's
gone to live in the USA for all these years,
and I get to enjoy the best of both countries.
So enjoy all the festivities this week, and please take
extra care of your fingers when letting your fireworks.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
One parting question, John Ryan, do you have a Canadian tuxedo?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Absolutely? I can't get back over the border if I'm
not wearing it.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Kicking it with Sean Ryan on one O two point
five kz okay
