Have you ever heard of 'microplastics'? EPA researchers classify them as a series of plastic particles, ranging from the size of a pencil eraser to a single nanometer. To put things into perspective, a strand of human hair is nearly 80,000 nanometers wide. As it turns out, not only are these particles all around us, they can enter the human body. But how dangerous are they? That’s what the experts are trying to figure out. Dr. Rob Thacker from Saint Mary's University joins Andrew Pinsent for this week's edition of The Science Wire.
