A chase Thursday afternoon that began in Harden County and
came to a conclusion in Lima had a made for
TV ending. About four point thirty Thursday afternoon, a traffic
stop was initiated near the Allen Harden County line at
the intersection of County Road fifty in County Road fifteen
in Harden County. The stop was part of a felony investigation.

The suspect vehicle was operated by Damon Michael Kaiser of
Rural Roundhead. Deputies were able to positively identify him as
the driver. He was known to have numerous felony warrants.
Kaiser failed to stop and fled west into Allen County.
During the twelve mile pursuit, he committed numerous moving violations,
drove through farm fields, and attempted to ram pursuing Harden

County deputies. A Harden County deputy successfully completed a pursuit
termination technique and crashed Kaiser out on the overpass of
Reservoir Road over I seventy five. The end of that
incident was caught on video and posted to social media
by a bystander. Kaiser resisted arrest initially, but was successfully

taken into custody. He is being held on numerous felony warrants.
Later in the day, a residential search warrant was served
at Kaiser's reported address and suspected narcotics were found. Additional
charges are pending. Early Saturday morning in Saint Mary's there
was a shooting involving some teens. WLIO reported it happened
about four thirty am Saturday at the Circle K gas

station on Spruce Street. Officers learned that two groups of
people had been arguing at the gas station. Eventually one
shot was fired. The victim suffered non life threatening injuries,
and a seventeen year old from the Columbus area was
taken into custody and booked into the juvenile detention facility
in Troy. Ohio's unemployment numbers are down. Last week, ohioans

filed more than fifty five hundred initial unemployment claims, down
about one hundred and fifty from the week Beforetinuing claims
were at fifty four thousand. That was over two thousand
fewer than the week before. Ohio's unemployment rate in March
was four point eight percent, which is higher than the
national average. Meanwhile, federal authorities arrested more than one hundred
