(00:05):
And that could be a fiend song. Come on, put in donach plumb
be here now to foot. Welcomefriends, Friday of the Morning Show with
Preston Scott. I'm Preston. He'sGrant Allen, looking like he dropped right

(00:26):
out of Mayberry, like he's beenhanging out with Andy Griffith on the porch.
Well, hey, barr oe,uh. Good to be with you
friends. Let's start our Friday witha verse of Scripture one Corinthians fifteen twenty

(00:46):
through twenty two. But in factChrist has been raised from the dead,
the first fruits of those who havefallen asleep. For as by a man
came, death by a man hascome also the resurrection of the dead.
For as an Adam all dies,so in Christ shall all be made live.

(01:10):
Come get some of that. That'swhere you rest, that's where you
anchor right there. Great to bewith you, my friends. Friday,
of course is a little bit ofa different show. It just kind of
works that way now. Of course, in the hours of the of the
night time things changed. Israel haslaunched an attack on Iran. It is

(01:38):
a very limited, very precise missileattack on a specific military target, and
so it goes. You know,it's interesting because Iran said, we consider
this matter closed. Israel's like, well, we don't. No, you

(02:04):
don't get to you don't get toshoot three hundred different types of ordinance at
us and say we're done. Wemight not be. You might be,
but we might not be. Ohmy, that inevitably will be something we'll
discuss today as well. It'll bethe big stories in the press box.

(02:27):
We'll get stupid criminal stories. We'vegot pay scale reel or imagined imbalances and
pay got some compliments and of coursewhat's to be Friday and more. I'm
just like I've put the buffet outand it's just the nibblers. I haven't

(02:49):
even gotten to the whole thing.Stick around. It's the Morning Show with
Preston Scott. This is the MorningShow with Preston Scott. If you're new

(03:14):
to the radio program, at thispoint in the show, each and every
day we try to broaden, adddepth to your knowledge of history. We
open up the American Patriots Omenac andtake a peak April nineteen, seventeen seventy

(03:36):
five Lexington and Concord. Oh,I will tell you there is nothing that
can replace going there it's just remarkable. The previous night saw seven hundred British

(04:03):
troops march out of Boston with ordersto seize any colonial weapons they might find.
By dawn the next morning, theyhad reached Lexington, where they found
seventy five American minutemen waiting for themon the village Green. Don't fire unless
fired upon, Captain Jonas Parker orderedthe patriots. But if they mean to

(04:24):
have a war, let it beginhere. The British commander ordered the Americans
to lay down their arms, calledthem a bad name, told them to
disperse. Colonialists grudgingly began to driftaway. Suddenly someone fired a shot.
No one knows who. The surpriseBritish ranks let loose a volley. Eight

(04:48):
died, ten wounded on Lexington Green. They were all colonialists, patriots the
red Coat. So it's continued upthe road to Concord, where several hundred
Americans had gathered. Another small battleensued before the British decided it was time

(05:11):
to return to Boston. Then thereal fighting began. The road back to
Lexington became a nightmarish gauntlet of deadlyfire. I've driven that road, the
road from Concord back to Lexington, and it's you you can envision it,

(05:31):
but being at Concord, being inthe open field, seeing where the British
marched across a bridge and where manydied there. In fact, there are
graves right there. It's surreal,it really is. The shot heard round

(05:55):
the world was not the shot firedat Lexington. It was the shot fired
by the Patriots in response at Concord, when we decided to fight back.

(06:15):
That was the shot heard around theworld. So the Revolutionary war begins today.
In seventeen seventy five, eighteen sixtyfive, funeral services held for Abraham
Lincoln eighteen ninety seven, First BostonMarathon run nineteen thirty three. FDR announces

(06:36):
the US is going off the goldstandard. Nineteen fifty one. General Douglas
MacArthur, relieved of command by Truman, gives his farewell addressed to Congress,
saying, old soldiers never die,They just fade away. And on this
date in nineteen ninety five, youwere not alive yet. Bomb explodes outside

(07:00):
the Alfred Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, killing one hundred and sixty eight injuring
hundreds more domestic terrorist. He's nolonger with US. Sixteen minutes after the
hour back with more of the MorningShow with Preston's Guy. The way musicians

(07:30):
can now take their instrument, usuallyit's an acoustic guitar, and they'll start.
They'll lay down a rhythm track. They'll just tap on their guitar,
and then they push a little buttonon their little pedal station down below.
They've recorded that, so now they'vegot that steady beat, and then they'll

(07:54):
make some other sound. Maybe they'lljust really cramp down on the guitar with
their fingers. I don't know howit's called, but then they'll make this
little added, little rhythmic sound. They'll record that. Then they'll do something
maybe vocally, and then they'll doa harmony to that little thing vocally.
Now they've laid down a little bitof background track and they can just call

(08:16):
it all up and create a bandby themselves with one instrument. It's incredible
the technology that's out there today,it really is. I watched Ed Sheeran
on I think it was the voicedo a song that way, and I
was just my joft. It's like, oh, the guy's incredibly talented.

(08:41):
He really is. And now moreand more musicians are doing that kind of
thing. Ran across a little clipthis morning and it's just, man,
you've got skills. Good on you. I don't have those skills. Wish
I had those skills. Keep tellingmy I need to need to learn how
to play the pi ano, piano, piano and guitar. Would be where

(09:05):
I would love to be. Butit's all about time, and it's just
yeah, I'd love to fly more. I'd love to get my private license
again time. But that one's moremoney. That's it's pricey to do that.
Speaking of pricey, have you seenwhat's going on with gold? Gold

(09:26):
is is way up And I cameacross a piece by Michael Wilkerson. He
is a he's just it's a commentaryand he's just a strategic advisor, investor,
just author is just one of many. Nothing that says he's like the

(09:46):
beacon of correctness on this just itwas an interesting analysis. Gold hit an
all time high of twenty four fortyfive on April twelfth, before closing the
day at twenty three sixty. Rightnow it's at twenty three eighty one per
ounce. It would appear that alot of people are converting their ETFs their

(10:15):
gold ETFs to actual gold, andthey're kind of pulling it out and keeping
it. Personally, there are alot of people that have paper gold.
They have an ira or something that'sinvested in paper gold, which in theory,
you're invested in x amount of ouncesof gold. I would think that

(10:35):
if you're going to do that,I'd want the gold in hand, because
it's a hedge. It's a hedgeagainst whatever may happen out there. And
he offers three possibilities for why goldis likely going to keep growing. Inflation.
He said, the Fed's not talkingabout cutting rates much now, and
we're seeing inflation is still elevated, and it seems to be picking back up.

(11:01):
Second factor, Russia Ukraine, andnow what's going on in the Middle
East, the possibility the specter ofwar growing in its scope and sucking more
nations in, and then the combinationof the two. He said, the
rise of gold price in the priceof gold in US dollar terms doesn't necessarily

(11:24):
mean that gold is more expensive. It simply means the dollar is worth less.
And that gets to kind of whereI wanted to get to listen to
this fact. When the Federal Reservewas founded in nineteen thirteen, one ounce
of gold could be bought for lessthan nineteen dollars. The value of the

(11:48):
dollars since twenty since nineteen thirteen hasfallen ninety nine percent, and the price
of gold has jumped one hundred andtwenty four fold. Think about that.
We we oftentimes look at the dollarand look at like yesterday, Scott Beacon

(12:11):
was talking to us about how theIranian currency compares to the dollar and how
it's just it's shredded, it's gotno value. Well, you can go
historically and look at the value ofa dollar and if it's dropped ninety nine
percent, that means the dollar ofnineteen thirteen is now worth a penny,

(12:41):
But that compared to other currencies aroundthe world is elevated. So what does
that tell you about the overall economiccondition of things. That's why I thought
this was just an interesting commentary. It gives some historical context and just offers
guy's opinion on what's going on withgold. I'm not telling you to buy
gold. I'm not telling you notto buy gold, you know, I

(13:05):
just I just think it's it's informationworth considering and if it caused you to
do a little more digging cool twentyseven minutes. We've got the big stories.
Next, Preston Scott, what willyou doing without freedom? On used
radio one hundred point seven w UFLAall right, little advisory for our listening

(13:48):
area. Note from FHP I teneast bound west of town at mile post
one eighty one, a Gooseneck trailereastbound on ien. Truck experienced some kind

(14:09):
of problem causing the driver to losecontrol. Vehicle went into the median jackknife.
The vehicle came rest on the insidelane of the median. No injuries.
That's good, and so there theremay be still a little bit of
a blockage, just making you awareit might be gone. But we just

(14:30):
got the alert from FHP six minutesago, so hopefully that'll be helpful to
you. Good morning show. I'mPreston. It's a big story. Time
Grove a creative marketing and digital expertise. And of course the big story is

(14:52):
reports claiming that Israel has launched alimited strike on Iran in retaliation for recent
attacks. However, in Iranian officialclaims there was no attack. Now Israel
releasing a statement. Here's a courtesyof Fox News. Trey Yanks reporting from

(15:13):
tel Aviv, Israel's Home Front Commandreleasing a statement this morning saying there is
no change in posture for Israel. This is an indication that the Israelis do
not anticipate in immediate Iranian response tothese strikes. The home Front Command is
used to communicate military messages to thecivilian population here and alert people across this

(15:37):
country if they need to stay nearto bomb shelters or to other locations.
And at this point there are nospecial instructions for the Israeli people. There
you go. Now, obviously youhave the Sabbath coming at sunset tonight,

(15:58):
and so oh you just you neverknow, you never know what's going to
happen. Does this escalate? Doesit not? It's a military target,
it was very limited in its strike. It's it's it's message sending. They

(16:18):
warned the United States they were goingto do it. They didn't ask for
permission, nor should they. Wouldyou ask permission of Joe Biden and the
leadership of this country right now? What are your thoughts, Joe wind Rocky
Road, some pistachio nut? Imean, uh, you know, banana

(16:44):
split? That sounds good? Ohsorry, would you ask me now?
New report reveals China's role in thefentanyl crisis. Bipartisan investigation show that the
Chinese Communist Party is actively facilitating theimportation of fentanyl into the country. They

(17:08):
are supplying it to the cartels rightnow. DEA laboratory testing shows that seven
out of ten pills contain a deadlydose. That is an increase of four
out of ten and twenty twenty one, so seven out of ten. And

(17:33):
this has been floating around a littlebit, just a little heads up that
breakfast cereals are being scrutinized for apesticide called chlormaquat. EPA has said previously
that it shouldn't be allowed, butthey've opened the door for it. It's
used internationally. It controls plant growth. It's designed so that oats don't grow

(18:00):
taller than the harvester wants. Theydon't want them tall, and then bending
over where the harvester misses them forharvest purposes. It shortens the stalk if
put another way, And so rightnow they're finding questionable levels of this stuff

(18:21):
in quaker oats and in cheerios. So I'm just putting that on your radar.
I know that I will not bebuying cheerios for a while. It's
The Morning Show with Preston Scott Hey. Quick reminder for those of you that

(18:41):
are art lovers that the Arts inthe Park Show, it's an annual show,
is this weekend in the chain ofparks downtown. It's really a lovely
setting. It's a canopied setting andfriends of mine, Deborah and Randy Breenan,

(19:03):
are going to be set up inbooths one oh five and one oh
six. I have two paintings byRandy. They are exceptional artists. In
fact, one of the best showsthat comes up from time to time is
side by side when they they takea photo and they both do a painting

(19:26):
of it in their styles, andI just I just think they're so good.
And so if you're interested the artshows this weekend, and make sure
you go by and say hello toRandy and Deborah at booths one oh five
and one oh six. Give hima hearty high five regular listeners of the
Morning Show. And for for along long time, I have known Randy

(19:48):
and his family since the late eightiesearly nineties, and so we go way
back. Love him as a brotherin Christ and as a friend, and
so yeah, support the work, and look, you're gonna just see a
bunch of talented artists out there, and I'm a sucker for that stuff,
So that's kind of cool. Acouple other stories here that I thought worth

(20:12):
mentioning. Hannah Gudierrez read she wasthe armorer for the movie Rust and there
was a shooting that took place thatled to the death of the cinematographer,

(20:33):
held me A Hutchins. Back intwenty twenty one, she died gun that
Alec Baldwin was holding discharged. Shewas sentenced to eighteen months in prison,
and Baldwin is facing the exact samecharge in front of the same judge in

(20:53):
the same community. Now. Shemade the mistake and recorded calls of calling
the jurors stupid and the judge anexpletive. Probably didn't help her sentencing.
A whole lot experts saying Baldwin needsto do a plea deal like right now.

(21:14):
Baldwin maintains that he did nothing wrong, that the gun, he did
not pull the trigger. I don'tbelieve him for one second. They have
tested that gun repeatedly. It hasyet to be discharged without the pulling of
a trigger. He was practicing andhe wasn't paying attention. He violated all
of the rules of gun handling. And then there's this and explain this to

(21:42):
me. Law enforcement agencies in multiplestates had an outage of their nine to
one to one emergency lines in LasVegas, all of South South Dakota,
and hearts of Nebraska at the sametime. Is there interconnectivity in nine to

(22:10):
one one services? First? Someoneknows the answer to that. Email me
presin atiheartradio dot com. If thereis interconnectivity, I e. Like the
power grid, that's just stupid.Or let me borrow Grant's favorite word from
the week. That's asinine. Imean, isn't it. How can you

(22:36):
have nine one one services linked sothat if one goes down, several go
down. That's just so help meout here. It was a story and
epic times it happened. What wedon't know is are they connected. They
don't know if they were connected. When we come back, we're gonna change
gears a little bit. Compliments, compliments to brighten someone's day. It's the

(23:03):
Morning Show with Preston Scott. Allright, I'm gonna give you just a
little brief taste here. This isand I kind of like something that's gonna
pop up out of this segment, the difference you can make in people's days

(23:25):
by offering compliments. Now, aguy that I've stumbled upon is Troy Hawk.
Now he's a British comedian I guessby trade, who also has a
little side hustle. I don't knowif he does it for free, but
it's something called the Greeters Guild andhe goes to events in the UK and

(23:49):
businesses and parks and locations and justcompliments people. And this is just a
short little piece of when he gotdared to you go to Well, I'll
let him explain. That is somesweet excavating. You are excavating like a
champion. I've recently made a videogiving people in London drive by compliments,

(24:10):
as if trying to compliment British peopleisn't difficult enough. The comment section was
filled with folks saying I'd like tosee him try that in New York Challenge
exception. I thank you for thesalute, deeply appreciated. You've got an
admirable stillness. Everything is moving aroundyou, and you are an oasis in
calm. You are a god fromanother decade. Do your Carl it scheme.
It's fantastic. I say, youboth looked very relaxed. You're a

(24:33):
father son combination. I can tellby the eyebrows they're identical. Yes,
absolutely, there's your mirror and it'sa very lovely mirror as well. Good
economy of facials. I like it. Hello that I'm very much affiliated with
Ganesh. I'm afraid he's my boy. Stunning, absolutely stunning. That's an
all in one incredible how are youshoulders back yarn everything? Of course you

(24:59):
are. That's that's a wonderful costureshow of the best day, sweet lanyard
wielding. It's good straw there.I'm enjoying it. I see you and
so he just reacts and so he'sclearly good at it. What brought that
back to mind? And I dofollow this guy's videos because they're remarkably entertaining

(25:22):
to me because he wears a whatit's called a smoking jacket and basically he's
like in pajamas with really nice dressshoes and he just strolls about with his
shirts back and he just finds you, sir, if a vescence in your
approach to life, I can seeit in your eyes. And I mean
it's just he just finds something goodto say. So this article says six

(25:45):
compliments that land every time and oneyou handled that situation so well. Two
you make even ordinary moments feel extraordinary. Three, I'm really impressed with your
ability to work under pressure. FourI love the way you bring out the
best in people. Five great earrings. Six your performance was brilliant.

(26:14):
And then lastly, just remember whensomeone pays you a compliment, to say
thank you, that's tough for someof us. Some of us have a
very difficult time receiving a compliment.I do. I struggle with it.
I tend to be a little selfdeprecating or even denigrating. And well,
you know love your show. Ohyou're the one really enjoy your RADI pot,

(26:37):
Well you need to get out moreand listen to more radio. I
mean, that's just kind of mynature. That said the woman that was
kind of the impetus of this article. She hands out cards to people when
she's doing business, checking out orwhatever, when someone goes over and above,
and it says your willingness to gothe extra mile never goes unnoticed.

(27:00):
On the flip side, it says, you're receiving this compliment because your awesomeness
deserves a big shout out. Igot to thinking that might be a fun
little project to create cards that wecan hand out to people who deliver great
customer service. So I might designsomething that you can you can get via

(27:26):
mail that will mail to you courtesyof The Morning Show with Preston Scott,
inspired by the Greeter's Guild. Justthink about it, think about it.
I'm going to bring this up again. If you like the idea. I
don't. I'm not going to raiseany money through it. I'm not it.

(27:48):
Just I will do this and offerthem to you. If you like
the idea for customer service that overand above, email me Preston and IHEARTRATEDO
dot com. Oh my goodness,we are getting bombarded with emails from people

(28:27):
wanting compliment cards. Hell, We'llhave to see what we can design that
could be fun. We'll delve backinto that sometime perhaps next week. But

(28:52):
trust me, this will not gounanswered. Well done, ruminators. Five
minutes past the hour it is Friday. On the Morning Show Preston Scott,
I wanted to talk about Kitlin Clarkand let me read the headline. Her
staggeringly low starting salary briefly explained nowinside this article, it talks about how,

(29:18):
despite her record breaking NCAA career andperformance energy she generated for the sport,
her base salary as a rookie isgoing to be seventy six, five
hundred and thirty five dollars. Inthe NBA, a first draft pick is
expected to make roughly ten point fivemillion. Now, of course, people

(29:41):
are saying, could Kaitlin Clark fixthe issues of this pay gap. She
could address it. Her popularity couldhelp. But let's let's notice this.
The WNBA, who we've talked about, which we've talked about, may not

(30:03):
be a friend to Caitlin Clark becauseshe's white, and she's heterosexual, and
she wants the ball in her handsa lot. She's a volume shot shooter.
They might resent her. If theywere smart, they would embrace her

(30:23):
because she's going to bring television ratings, She's going to bring crowds to the
arenas, and that is going tolift what has been an atrocious league.
Who watches now, the the WNBAclaims to bring in roughly two hundred million

(30:44):
dollars in a season. The NBAbrings in ten billion. The WNBA season
is forty games. The NBA iseighty two excluding playoffs. Then you got
Joe Biden Way in women's sports. He posted on x whoever's writing for Joe.

(31:10):
Women's sports continue to push new boundariesand inspire us all but right now
we're seeing that even if you're thebest, women are not paid their fair
share. Here we go fair shareblah blah blah blah blah. It's time
that we get listen, listen tothe wording. It's time that we give
our daughters, we're talking biological Joe, the same opportunities as sons and ensure

(31:33):
women are paid what they deserve. Here's the thing, and this is what
I want to focus on here thismorning for a few minutes. In performance
based businesses, and by performance,I'm talking about sports, I'm talking about
entertainment, I'm talking about music.I'm talking about a lot of different entities,

(32:00):
of different industries. Women are paidexactly what they deserve. Give you
an example. Caitlin Clark is partof a league that no one, hardly

(32:21):
anybody watches on television. It isbeing pushed on television because the NBA requires
that anyone who signs an agreement tobroadcast the NBA and pays for that privilege,
has to air WNBA games they must, and of course Disney, ESPN,
ABC, they are all in.Turner's not broadcasting WNBA games. The

(32:50):
NBA Network's not broadcasting NBA games orWNBA games. So the little bit of
exposure that exists is because it's required, you have to do it, you
have to air it, but peopledon't watch. I don't believe they pull
in two hundred million dollars a year. I personally don't believe that. I

(33:13):
think that is an absolute made upfigure. But that said, this goes
a heck of a lot deeper, and I want to get to it next
here on The Morning Show with PrestonScott. The Morning Show with Preston Scott,

(33:45):
getting even suggestions now on what toput on the card. Suggestion here
from Steph put John three sixteen onone side, probably not. My goal
is to enable people to just complimentothers and brighten their day, and hopefully

(34:09):
that will allow for a conversation.Perhaps that might lead to that a more
authentic exchange of ideals and yes, drive people to listen to the program,
which would allow them to hear ourshared faith and view of life. Through

(34:30):
the lens of Christ. But thankyou, I appreciate the suggestion. I
will consider it. However, Iwill talk it over with the team.
I guess grant, we're gonna haveto schedule a meeting of the executive staff
at some point, so maybe senda memo out to the tire the whole

(34:51):
crew. Yeah, yeah, andyeah, the review board might have to
get in on this as well.Do you want to go that high?
Well, I feel like as highup the hierarchy. Yeah, that the
review board of the program. Wemight have to We might have to have
to get their blessings as well. That's serious stuff, I know, I

(35:13):
know. Here's the thing. Let'stalk money. Women pay. Sorry,
there are would you agree with methat there are jobs out there, rank
and file, just jobs where menare paid more than women who do the
exact same work. And it's it'slike a payscale thing. It's not.

(35:34):
It's like equal background, equal experience, equal job description, equal responsibilities,
and sometimes men are paid more thanwomen. I don't know, fair enough,
I'm not sure it does happen. It doesn't happen as often it does
happen, But there are times whenthe roles are reversed. What I want
to point out first of all forKaitlin Clark is that what Caitlin's making in

(35:58):
in WNBA money, that's going tobe kick around money for her because she's
going to sign an eight figure dealif she hasn't already with Nike. By
the way I did it, Ijust had to make sure my eyes saw
this right in my brain. Youknow what eight figures is. Eight figures
is a minimum of ten million dollars. So let's for a second, let's

(36:23):
not feel bad for Caitlin because sheis going to be able to leverage the
exposure she generated for women's college basketballfor being, you know, kind of
an iconic figure in the game. She did bring people to the game.
She did absolutely it is undeniable. She made it kind of watchable for a

(36:47):
lot of people because there are timeswomen's basketball it's tough to watch because there's
jump balls all over the place, there's traveling and stumbling and falling down,
and I mean it's just it is. It's the it's not as clean.
It's not like women's golf. Wherewomen's golf you could argue that's what men
should be watching as women playing golfbecause their swing and everything about it is

(37:10):
more easily modeled and better for theaverage guy. The average guy can't swing
it the way of pro does.Just can't. Average guy had to watch
a woman's swing a golf club onthe professional circuit. But I just want
to point something out on this payscale thing. It's performance based. There's
some actors that make more than actresses. There are some singers that make more

(37:30):
than other singers. There are somesports that draw more than other sports.
The men's leagues draw more than thewomen's leagues. They're paid more because they
draw more, because they have people, more people watching. You know where
the inversion is modeling. Male modelsdon't make squat compared to the high end

(37:51):
female models. It's not even close. Why female models are more in demand.
They generate more revenue for products. They generate more revenue for makeup,
they generate more revenue for air products, they generate more revenue for fashion.
They just do. It's just theway it is. And guess what that's

(38:13):
okay, It's quite all right.Sixteen minutes after the hour, It's The
Morning Show with Preston Scott. Stupidcriminal story is coming up in twenty minutes,
including an honorable mention, stupid criminal? Who get that? Who could

(38:40):
be that? Honorable mention? Stupidcriminal? We'll find out that's coming up
in this a little bit. Wealso have what's to be Friday next hour.
Get your thoughts together, friends, ladies and gentlemen, ruminators near and
far. Your time to get itoff your chest is is coming up next

(39:06):
hour here on the program. Andof course we've got the best and the
worst. We've got good news segmentand headlines from the b among other things
still to come on the program.Always welcome the email. Just like I
said, I'm just getting a tonof requests. It's it's really fun people

(39:32):
responding to the idea of compliment cardsthat we would produce, dealing with good
customer service. And yeah, Iyou know, we're getting some really good
feedback. So thank you very muchfor that, all of you young and
old sending me notes. Here's someother some other emails. Thank you for

(39:54):
being the voice for so many. The vote by the Senate to not even
take up the matter of the impeachmentvote was a bilateral slap in the face
of so many. I have writtenand will be calling my senators in Georgia.
Hope you can relay this to asmany people that listen. How important
this vote was A concerned listener.Uh yeah, wherever you are hugely important

(40:24):
that Chuck Schumer would not allow theprocess to take place. That's the Democrats
way of doing things. If youcan, if you're worried about the outcome
of a trial, you you pulloff a vote. And the Democrats don't
break ranks. Generally, they justdon't. I promise you that if there

(40:47):
had been a trial in the Senate, a few Democrats would have voted for
impeachment because they're they're feeling the effectsand their constituents know, but they were
threatened by Shoe. You ever wantany legislation past the Senate, you toe
the line they did. Got thisnote. Just want to agree with you

(41:09):
about your assessment of the homeless.I'm a close friend with a lot of
first responders. At one point,Tallassi Fire Department was charged with going out
and offering assistance and assessments of someof the homeless camps. You are correct.
Many of the people that are inthose camps are quite happy there.
There is a hierarchy and typically somebodyfunctions as the boss. I had multiple

(41:32):
first responders tell me. They weretypically told, we're happy, here,
got everything we need. A lotof these people just don't want to involve
themselves in societal rules and norms. And I guess that's okay as long as
you're not breaking any laws or becominga burden of society, which unfortunately I
think they are in many cases.Thank you very much for the note.

(41:53):
Got this note after hearing you talkabout becoming a judge. I was talking
about the decision of judges in theFourth Circuit of the Appeals Court invalidating a
West Virginia law that protected women's sportsagainst men against boys, and so I

(42:17):
said, well, then I'm ajudge if you can be anything you want
to be, he writes, hesaid, I've decided that I now have
a PhD with no student loans.I'm going into my boss's office demand to
raise because of my new education level. Wish me luck. I wrote this
in response B period who period you? Period? Choose period two? Period

(42:43):
B B just B And then Igot this note For those of us who
truly don't understand, could you doa segment sometime that explains why the mainstream
media are so in the pocket ofthe Democrats. I assume these people can

(43:04):
think for themselves after having a meetingthis past week on not assuming anything though,
and see where the Democrat policies arenot good for this country. What
are they gaining for their support,What are their gains worth what we're losing.
That's a good suggestion. So wewill do a segment two three.

(43:32):
I'll bring in an expert. Wewill dissect where the media went wrong and
why. We'll explain it to you. That's a great idea. Keep it
coming, Preston at iHeartRadio dot com. Consider him your truth detector. The
Morning Show with Preston Scott on NewsRadioone hundred point seven WUFLA. Getting closer

(44:09):
to what's to be Friday about ahalf hour away. Stupid criminal stories in
just a little bit moments away,in fact, But first the big stories
in the press box, brought toyou by Grove of Creative marketing and digital
expertise. Of course, we arepaying attention to what is going on.
You know, it is really difficultfor me to watch these anti Israel protests

(44:36):
going on in America. Get thesehaters out of the country. And I
know that's not an unpopular thing tosay, and I know that it will,
you know, land unfavorably from athat's not what America is about perspective.

(45:00):
But this is nonsense. What's beingallowed on college campuses? It really
is that said, is your conductingretaliatory strikes on Iran. Fox's Jeff Paul
has the latest from Tel Aviv.Israel is responding to Iran with these very

(45:20):
specific in targeted strikes hitting the areathe central region in Iran of Isfahan.
Now that's roughly two hundred miles awayfrom the Iranian capital of Tehran, and
this is significant because it is locatedclose to the capitol but also near the
Natans nuclear facility. Now, thatsite, as we should stress, was
not hit or affected. The strikethough appeared to target the nearby Iranian air

(45:44):
base. But it clearly shows thatIsrael has the capabilities to hit these very
important sites when it wants. Yeah, and that is important. Now,
Iran has released a statement that itwill not retaliate for this strike. Do

(46:06):
you believe them? Personally? Iwouldn't believe one word the Iranians have to
say, and quite candidly, itwould be very difficult for me to believe
the word of any real committed, practicing Islamist committed to Sharia because inside those

(46:45):
teachings is a a willingness you misleadand lie if it accomplishes the greater purpose
for their Allah. And see theseare these are these subtle nuances that separate

(47:17):
out the world faiths. True adherenceto Shariah, to the Qur'an, to
the writings of Muhammad justify dishonesty, deception, and lying because it serves a

(47:39):
greater cause. It's okay. Andso when Iran says, ah, we're
not gonna we're not gonna retaliate,I, I do not think it's wise
for anybody in the world to believeit. Now, we'll see that's what
they've said. We now know they'vesaid that. We'll remember that. We'll

(48:01):
another another big story here a reportshowing the extent of China's role in the
fentanyl crisis. China is flooding Mexicowith fentanyl, getting into the cartels so
the cartels can bring it into thecountry. This is part of the systemic
effort by the Chinese to disrupt andundermine America. Grant sent me a video

(48:25):
yesterday that I watched of Tucker Carlsonand a radio show host in Texas,
advocating some pretty strong things. Theoverall thoughts one hundred percent agree with one
hundred percent. There might be minutiain there. I didn't, but the
overarching thought is the idea is tocrumble this country from within, and that

(48:52):
Republicans are part of the problem significantly. So forty minutes after the hour,
back with stupid criminal stories and anhonorable mention, honorable mention, stupid criminal
Preston Scott. They're gonna get aI'm just which knock knock? Who's nash
on w f l A, gettingcloser, getting closer to what's the beef

(49:31):
Friday that comes up in just alittle bit. Complain, get it off
your chest. We're here for you. So a very very busy final hour
awaits us here on the Morning Showwith Prestin Scott. At first, is

(49:54):
it buffering? Did your internet goout? Come on? Yeah? Whatever,
man, that's brutal, no gooddeed. And so we begin with
another edition of another edition of Welcometo the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

(50:23):
Ladies and gentlemen, great to bewith you this morning. And we are
here yet again with another edition ofone more time Professional Radio at its finest.
Here's a stupid criminal for him.Me. Well, not really.

(50:46):
I can't do anything about the factthat that thing froze on me. All
right, here we go, Indiana. Sarah Harris twice made open line calls
to the police departments nine one one. An officer visited her residence to ensure
that everyone was okay. During aconversation with a police captain, Harris declared

(51:10):
that her meth was not what itwas supposed to be. She explained that
the drug left her feeling as ifshe was going to have a heart attack.
Oh, don't worry. She wasjust mething around. Huh, she
was just mething around bad. That'ssir. You may see yourself out.
She said she'd snorted a line ofmeth and felt something different when it touched

(51:35):
her skin and nostrils. Apparently believingthat the local sheriff operated a better business
bureau, Harris requested that the drugbe tested. She declared that she wanted
to turn the person in who providedher the meth. While speaking with police
at her home in the city ofBedford, Indiana, Harris made the mistake
of handing over the meth that hadso vexed her. The contents of the

(52:00):
small baggy, which carried a redpig design later field tested positive for meth.
As a result of Harris providing thenarcotic evidence, a criminal information charging
her with meth possession was filed,a Class six felony carrying a maximum a
thirty month prison term. She calledpolice to turn into her drug dealer because

(52:30):
she wanted better quality math. Tocall the manager like a Karen, this
is awful service. And then myhonorable mention, stupid criminal is Joe Biden

(52:51):
talked about one of his uncles,Ambrose Finnegan. He was a bleep of
an athlete, they tell me whenhe was a kid. He flew those
single engine planes as reconnaissance over warzones. He got shot down in New
Guinea, never found the body becausethere used to be there were a lot
of cannibals for real, and thatpart of New Guinea. So Joe Biden

(53:17):
is claiming that his uncle, it'slike a crashed his plane in New Guinea
and then was eaten by cannibals. The only problem is the Defense pow Mia
Accounting Agency has a slightly different record, saying that the plane that his uncle
was on nose dived into the intothe ocean off the coast of New Guinea.

(53:44):
One crew member survived, but AmbroseFinnegan was in the Pacific. He
was he he was in the Pacific. He did die in a plane crash,
but he died in the drink goingnose down. One crew member got
out and survived. And obviously there'san accounting for what happened. And I
don't know the family legends that arepassed on. Man, those are a

(54:05):
man. You are kidding? Mangot eaten by cannibal? What's wrong with
you? I'll tell you why.I never look at a person the same
since that horrible tragedy hit my family. It might all be pork chops.
This is the Morning Show with PrestonScott. Cannibals. Remember now, that's

(54:43):
why I named Joe the honorary StupidCriminal, because in my opinion, he
absolutely is a criminal and criminally well, you know the rest. Speaking of
cannibals, what's going on in Haiti? Have we heard any updates recently?
It's kind of going quiet. Youdid not just say that they are cannibal

(55:04):
gangs are like have taken over GrantAllen, All facts, brother, all
facts? Well, thankfully there's atleast one village in Haiti that has a

(55:29):
water tower to wash it all down. It's time for what's the beef?
Calls are welcome try this headline.Virginia becomes first state in the South to
ban child marriage what's considered child marriage. Eleven states in the US have made

(55:53):
it illegal for children to marry withoutexceptions like you're we talking seventeen year olds
or are we talking eleven year olds? Well, I'm inten just going through
here now in four states California,New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Mississippi.
There is no minimum wage. InVirginia. Eight thousand Virginians under the age

(56:25):
of eighteen got married between two thousandand twenty twenty one. The youngest was
twelve ooh. Eighty percent were girls. In twenty sixteen, Virginia raised the
minimum age for marriage to sixteen. If the miner is emancipated before then children

(56:45):
under the age of sixteen could marry, could marry with parental consent or because
of pregnancy. Wow. Then there'sthis. Collingswold High School, New Jersey

(57:07):
school has had issues with race relatedtensions. Now students belonging to quote a
white student union are under police investigation. A handful of students started the club
as a foil to the Black StudentUnion. Last year, students walked out

(57:28):
and protests, claiming that black studentswere being disciplined more frequently with harsher consequences
than their white peers. You coulddo an entire show on this. Yeah,
I'll be honest with you. Okay, let's see where this leads.
You know how, a lot oftimes we bring up the question what if

(57:50):
the roles were reversed? This iswhat happens when the roles are reversed,
exactly Exhibit A. I've been talkingon this show since March eighteenth, two
thousand and two about the Congressional BlackCaucus, the fill in the blank groups

(58:15):
that are based strictly on race.At what point is it okay for white
people to do it? Now?See, I think it's it's ridiculous.
I'm not congratulating these white students.I'm saying, well done for pointing out
the obvious that the inverse of thisis wrong, and if you have to

(58:38):
do it by doing what you're doing, so be it. It is wrong.
Anything based on race like this iswrong. But they seem to tolerate
the Black Student Union. What's tobe Friday's next? Eight five zero two
zero five WFLA. The time tocall is now. Unbelievably, we have

(59:14):
a line open. Eight five zerotwo zero five WFLA. Eight five zero
two zero five, ninety three fiftytwo, it's time four. What's the
beef? It is our weekly presentationof you, of you, for you,

(59:35):
by you. This is your chanceto complain about whatever's on your mind.
Eight five zero two zero five excuseme, ninety three fifty two eight
five zero two zero five WFLA.There are two rules. If you're new
to the program, you don't knowwhat you're getting into here. All we
ask is that you not use profanity, keep it clean, and don't make

(59:57):
it personal. If you have abad experience at a business, tell us
about it. Don't name the business. We want to We want to help
businesses, we don't want to hurtthem. Leave that kind of thing to
the radio broadcast professionals. And sowe begin with Greg, who has waited
the longest, and again eight fivezero two zero five WFLA. Greg called
it, and you are up.What's the beef? The demagogery related to

(01:00:21):
the Arizona Supreme Court decision and thesubsequent valid initiative. But there's a tie
in with a verse of scripture thatties it all together. The Book of
Jude verse twenty three, save othersby snatching them from the fire? Do
others show mercy mixed with fear hittingeven the clothing stayed by corrupted flesh?

(01:00:44):
New international version Last Thursday that becamethe nickname Arizona Nightmare. CNN Foday Knight
did the loop of a street protest, and then this past Monday, Hillary
Rodham Clinton appeared on Kelly Clarkson todiscuss the same thing. Who have you
not heard from? Oh, that'sright, the Catholic Bishops of Arizona who

(01:01:07):
published on the Arizona Catholic Conference webpage, ending quote, we do not
believe that this extreme initiative is whatArizona wants or needs, and we continue
to pray that it does not succeed. And coming up after the break,
an interview with Donald Trump's criminal defensewitnesses not thank you, Greg, appreciate

(01:01:32):
shiit the folk call, let's goto Robert good luck? Following that,
my brother, you are up.What's the beef? This is a dysfunctional
United States government. You need toturn down your radio. Pal, I
got I'm not going to bring youup unless you have your radio back down.

(01:01:52):
I'm gonna give you a second toget the radio turned down. How
about that? All right? Gofor it, sir. Functional government.
Yeah, we have a Senate anda House controlled by the Senate leader and
the Speaker of the House that bypassesthe actual functions of representative government. They

(01:02:15):
get less than three hundred or let'ssee, I would say three hundred thousand
votes to get Schumer elected, maybethe same for Pelosi or whoever the speaker
happens to be. And they operateslush funds with no accountability. They ignore
the Constitution when it's convenient, andwe need to change the structure of the

(01:02:38):
Congress and the Senate and the Houserepresentatives to a three member of leadership disasies
in each one where any member canbring something to the Florida vote and eliminate
that power structure that both McConnell,Schumer, Pelosi and these other derelicts who
have exercise for a number of years. Better Yeah, a little bit.

(01:03:01):
I'm gonna have a vodka right now. The colors are in rare form that
frees up a line eight five zerotwo zero five WFLA. John your next,
then David, then Jeremiah. TheState of the World has him drinking

(01:03:22):
at eight ten in the morning EasternTime. Not in me checking the lunar
schedule right now? Is there anotherfull moon or a clips going on that
I missed out? Come on,friends, bring it, ruminators, you're
up. It's your time. Eightfive zero two zero five WFLA. What's
to Be Friday continues Next an exclusivepresentation of the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

(01:03:51):
This is the Morning Show with PrestonScott. See what this sounds like?
I'm doing my Rush Limbaugh impersonation.See the problem is this mic is
not like his mic completely. Ikilled an EiV mic. I could hear

(01:04:12):
the puffs. Yeah, that's mine. The yeah even right there? Oh
yeah right there. See took thetook the little uh what's it called windscreen?
Windscreen off the mic? Yeah, yep, yep, uh pop filter.
That goes by a lot of differentthings. Anyway, it's what's the
beef Friday? Your chance to callin and complain. I can't. Someone

(01:04:33):
tied up the light and then gotoff the line eight five zero two zero
five to w f L A callin. Now, let's go to John.
Hi John, you've been very patient, Thank you, what's the beef?
Good morning to Preston. Thank youand Grant for what you do.
And the two previous callers have setthe bar high. So I'm here to
mess up the great curve. Uh, but maybe we won't to take your

(01:04:54):
advertisements. Uh. But my beefis with the governor and Attorney general of
the state of Arkansas because they haven'tfollowed suit with New York's governor and attorney
general and retroactively making laws, especiallythe one concerning rape. They should have
Bill Clinton brought up on rape chargesagainst Juanita Broderick. She's been the most

(01:05:18):
credible I believe me too victim I'veheard of. And speaking of Clinton's I
don't understand people openly admitting they couldn'tbe fair in a trial because they don't
like Donald Trump. I mean,I'd put the question on them, how
would you like to be on trial? And you want the jewors no matter

(01:05:42):
if it was an expouse or somebodyyou had bad business dealings with, that
they could be fair even if theydidn't like you. I could be fair.
At Hillary Clinton's death Unity trial, and I'd volunteered to be executioner,
and I'd be gentle. I mightbe passive aggressive. I wouldn't swave the

(01:06:04):
cotton on her on her neck beforeI gave the injection, but I wouldn't
be mean anyway. Y'all have agood weekend. Thank you, John.
What just happened? What just happened? I'm I'm I'm now starting to worry.
Come on, ruminators, let's rally. Let's go. David, you're

(01:06:27):
up. What's the beef quote ofthe week, Senator Kennedy, Let's buy
a spine. I don't know thatWalmartin or Target's got that many spines for
sale. Yeah, it might includeSenator Kennedy sometimes too, Yes, but
that was the quote of the week. I just have to say that somebody
needs to buy some spines and sendthem up. Thank you, David,

(01:06:51):
appreciate the phone call. Let's goto Jeremiah. Jeremiah, you are up,
sir. Tough tough set of callsto follow, but I'm trusting you.
Well, I'm gonna do my best. Preston Uh. The the beef
I have has been brewing for monthsand months, Okay. I remember growing
up as a kid going to Fizzoli. Oh yeah, man, I got

(01:07:14):
the news just last year, Fizzoli'sis coming up. They put up that
sign in front of Academy and thereain't nothing happened. They put up another
sign, Ain't nothing happened. Theyhaven't put up not one slab of concrete.
And I'm ready for some Fazolis,Preston, that's my beef of the
weak. So the Fizzles has noteven broke ground. No, just the

(01:07:40):
sign up. Oh that is all, Preston is cruel. It has been.
It has been rough for me.Preston, I hear you. Jeremiah,
thank you very much. I appreciateit. Yeah, as a pasta
lover and a breadstick officionado, whichI would consider myself one. That's harsh.

(01:08:00):
Getting all that teasing done, George, you are the final caller in
this segment. You're up, what'sthe beef? Good morning? Pressed In
My beef is UH. From everylocal city commission all the way up to
Congress. You'll get the left leaningUH people condemning Israel for the genocide they're

(01:08:23):
committing, you know, over inGaza. But you don't get any mention
of the properties that happened. Tothe Israeli divilians, you know, women
and children and instants and and it'sany if you've had the unfortunate circumstance to
see what happened to these these people. But it's it's in the media,

(01:08:45):
even the media, and it isuh, it's wrong, and it's in
uh it's im moral too to youknow, do this and and it just
uh, you just tapped me.And the other thing is is uh.
I guess there's gonna have a newrecipe on Guam. Is gonna be called
McK biden. Thank you very much. That's terrible new recipe and I think

(01:09:17):
you meant new Guinea, not Guammckbiden. That's terrible. Okay, Doug
John, Ken, we have oneline open. It can be yours.
One more segment of therapy. It'swhat's the be Friday in the Morning Show
with Preston Scott twenty two past thehour, we have Doug John and Ken.

(01:09:48):
We have one line open. Icould fit a fourth, big even
a fifth callar here you can takethe line eight five zero two zero five
to b f l A. Dougare up, sir, Thank you for
being so very patient. What's thebeef? Yeah, a beef is pressed
and I want to see you moreoften. Some suggesting that you have a

(01:10:10):
YouTube channel. There's a Brian Craigdown in Palm Beach, Florida on a
radio station down there that it's alive YouTube when he does the radio station.
What do you think of that?Well, you know, we did
that years ago. We were onYouTube Live, but YouTube was rolling commercials

(01:10:30):
in and iHeart was not a bigfan of that, and so we went
to Facebook Live. But then Facebooklost its mind and I could not see
myself contributing to that, and sowe've just kind of decided from a staffing
perspective that we would just stick toradio and misstood. And here's the other

(01:10:51):
thing. All cameras are high definitionnow, and I don't know that anyone
really wants to see me in highdeath. Yeh. It's kind of why
I left TV to begin with.High deff cameras were coming in as I
was exiting the television world. Butbut I appreciate your your thought on that.

(01:11:13):
We'll certainly consider ways to bring theprogram to you. Uh, what
do you think the big advantage wouldbe of of doing it on video?
You know, it's just kind ofa novel. Look this guy, Brian
Craig on this Palm Beach radio station. He does mostly Trump support, and
he goes around the country and talksabout various issues and stuff. But it's

(01:11:34):
just another new way of looking.I watch him with the microphone in front
of him, just like you areright now, and then he goes to
break and then he talks to theYouTube audience. Then he goes back to
the radio station. Gotcha, AndI really like I really like it.
Yeah all right, doug Hey,thanks very much. I appreciate that.
Yeah cool, good for them.Let's do uh, let's do John,

(01:11:59):
John, You're up to me.My beef Preston is with the grotesque immorality
of some in a public school system. I refuse to believe that little boys
and little girls question if they arein fact a boy or a girl without
being brought there by an adult. And I think the same people that would
do that are the ones that facilitatedrag shows in elementary schools and fight against

(01:12:23):
the removal of pornography in children's books. I think these people are morally bankrupt
and have no business being around childrenat any capacity. Now, the flip
side of that for me is Ibelieve there are plenty of salt in the
era of people within the system thathave real problems with this transgender garbage and
see it for the evil that ittruly is. But they don't speak out

(01:12:45):
against it because they've seen what happensto those who have stood up to it
and spoken out against it. They'veseen that getting fired and losing their jobs
just the beginning of a whole lotof hate that's going to keep coming at
them until they've been completely distry. The left has become expert at getting virtuous
people to compromise on the principles andvalues throw intimidation, and I think we've

(01:13:09):
gotten there in part because the liveand let live crowd, which is where
I consider myself to be, havegiven up too much ground to the if
you oppose us, will destroy youmob. Now, I used to think
this transgender buffoonery was just a congaline of this guided fools playing dress up
to get some attention. But seeingwhat they're doing the kids, now that

(01:13:30):
completely out of hand, not funny. Used to be stopped and stood up
to. And I want to addwith this those that have cooked up DEI
tell us that it stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. If you look
at how this operates and what itseeks to achieve, I think a much
more accurate definition would be deliberate, evil intent, brilliant. Just well done,

(01:14:02):
John, Well done. Ken,you're the final caller. What's the
beef? I don't know if Icould back that. Oh, I just
you just delivered with that. Theywant to fix the sidewalks, not the
roads. Come on, that's that'sI'm like, I said, I can't.

(01:14:23):
That guy just nailed it. Ken, You're the man brother. Thank
you so much for calling in thismorning. I appreciate it. Yes there
anytime. Thank you, strong ending, strong ending. Well done, ruminators.

(01:14:45):
It got a little different for awhile. I thought I was Rod
Serling and we were in an episodeof the Twilight Zone for more than a
minute there, but we brought itback landed the plane. Well done,
friends, Thank you for calling in. It's always fun. It's why we
do it. Half hour fun, little diversion. We come back best and

(01:15:05):
worst on The Morning Show with PrestonScott. It's the Morning Show with Preston
Scott. Normally big stories in thepress box time brought to you by Grove

(01:15:31):
of creative marketing and digital expertise. But on Friday we excuse ourselves from hardcore
news unless there's something like crazy goingon, and then we would dive in,
but not on Friday, And sowe just share the best and the
worst of the week, not necessarilythe stories that we've talked about. Sometimes

(01:15:51):
they are, sometimes they aren't.But what stood out to us and grant
your best and worst of the week. I just had my best and I
forgot it, legit. I wasjust looking like it just happened to you
right now, the best, Ohand you and you forgot it? Huh?
I did? Okay, worst It'llcome to me in a second worst

(01:16:15):
of the week though, just Iheard it described this way. The Republicans
in Congress when they get power, they're like drug addicts that need to immediately
get their fix rather than like lookingat an issue logically, like what's the

(01:16:38):
first big thing that we could tackle. Instead, Mike Johnson gets power Ukraine
funding and he just gets like thehit, you know. It's it's like
they're drug addicts and they just needto like throw something at whatever whatever they're
thinking because they can because they can't. Yes, It's it's like they need
to get their fix for whatever. So so that was my worst of the

(01:16:58):
week and my best. I'm flusterand trying to remember what it Windles and
Crocs did you I can go therebecause I was thinking, well, to
you, if you wanted to savethat one, I do have the story.
I'll let you save it for youknow, I don't. I don't
want to spoil it now because that'sa good one. Would would that rank
of as a best of the weekfor you? Probably not? That would

(01:17:19):
be that's a hail maryage. Okay, we'll come back. I'll take over,
and if you come up with yourbest of the week, we'll go
back to it. My worst ofthe week is the Master's ratings were down
roughly twenty percent on TV. Howis that possible? That's sad. It's
the pre eminent golf tournament every singleyear. It signals the start of the

(01:17:42):
golf season for much of the country. It's like spring. Right after the
Masters, everyone dusts off their clubsand gets out there and plays in the
golf courses up north are finally thawed. Yep. Absolutely, but ratings were
down. I think the PGA isjust screwing up massive By talking to live
and the arguments so easy for meto make. I'll do it another time.

(01:18:06):
But the worst of the week isthat it just died on the buying
as far as viewership. The bestof the week, though, happens to
be The Masters. In the wakeof winning his second Masters, Scotti Scheffler
is doing his post Master's press conferencewhere he just the jackets on. The
presentations are over and he's just sittingdown and talking to the media, and

(01:18:30):
he had this to say, sittingaround with my buddies this morning, I
was a bit overwhelmed because I toldhim. I was like, I wish
that I didn't want to win asbadly as I did, or as badly
as I do. I think itwould make the mornings easier. But I
love winning. I hate losing,I really do. And when you're hearing
the biggest moments, when I'm sittingthere with the lead on Sunday, I
really really want to win badly. And my buddies told me this morning,

(01:18:54):
you know, my victory was secureon the cross and that's that's a pretty
special feeling to know that I'm securefor forever and it doesn't matter, you
know, whether or not I winthis tournament, or if I lose this
tournament, you know my identity issecure for forever. Come on, that's
great. He's softly, not religiously. He got a little emotional talking about

(01:19:23):
how there was a moment there wherehe actually he got a little emotional just
about the fact that his eternity securedin Christ because of what he did on
the Cross and how that brings. And this was not the first and only
time he talked about Jesus during theMasters, during press conferences, and so

(01:19:45):
as much as the Masters was theworst of the week because of the TV
viewership being down and golf just beingin a really splintered state, it shouldn't
be. They should just ignore, live and move on. I will give
you the blueprint to all of thatsometime soon. But Scottie Scheffler, man,
it's so good. I can't tellyou what it for me personally.
It's so good to see a guyon a platform handle it right, honor

(01:20:11):
the right things, family, faith. I just good on him. He's
a he's he is he is arole model and there aren't many Forty minutes
past the hour, come back withbig, good good news. Next it's

(01:20:33):
the Morning Show with Preston Scott.Monday, we'll talk a little LEFSU water
polo women's water polo with coach AdamGaffie. It is a club sport,

(01:20:58):
but it is a intercollegiate club sport. We'll talk about how that all works.
But the FSU women are in thenationals again. They won the regional
and are heading to the nationals ofTexas, A and M in May.
And one of the listeners of theshow has a daughter that plays on the
water polo team, and man,I would be doing exactly what that dad

(01:21:20):
was doing. I would be talkingup my kid and the sport she participates
in. I said, put mein touch. I'd love to have the
coach on coach reached out Boom. It's gonna happen Monday on the program.
Love giving shout outs to people thatare are excelling at whatever they do,
and so we'll do that on Monday. Irish Chaffell will join us on Monday.

(01:21:45):
The FSU football Spring Showcase. It'snot really a spring game, it's
a showcase. I like the wayOhio State does it. They put it's
the offense against the defense, andthe defense gets points for different things and
it it was really good, butFSU does the showcase at least right now.

(01:22:05):
There have been different iterations of it, and Irischaffel will join us Monday
to talk about that, as wellas some other things related to Florida State
Athletics. But first, Kay,do you have any good news for a
kings so much? Just spell it'stime for some good news. It's true
even I need a little good newsnow and then wouldn't it be lovely if

(01:22:28):
we had just a little bit ofgood news? School bus? I can
do this. School bus driver LarryFerris Junior is known in his community for
going above and beyond. His communityis Louisville, Kentucky, and the Jefferson

(01:22:51):
County Public School District. He wasformerly a corrections officer, and after he
retired from corrections, became a truckdriver and then became a bus driver and

(01:23:16):
found what he calls his calling well. One day he was picking up a
little fellow named Levi. Levi wason the regular route that he runs,
quoting Normally, when I pull up, he's standing there waiting for me with
a big smile. But on thisday he was sitting on the ground with
a jacket over his head. Iasked him, Hey, buddy, what's
going on. What's wrong. That'swhen Levi, a first grader at Engelhart

(01:23:42):
Elementary, explained through tears that hedidn't have pajamas for pajama day. Ferris
closed the doors, watched Levi slideinto a seat away from his friends,
and he said he knew he hadto do something. He said, I
thought, I got to fix this, And so when he finished up his

(01:24:03):
morning ro oute, he went straightto the family Dollar store and purchased two
pair of pajamas for Levi and hewent back to school. I said,
you were hurting this morning. Youwere crying, So I got you these
pajamas. He was so excited. You should have seen how his face lit
up. Local newspaper interviewed little Levi. He said, I can tell mister

(01:24:30):
Larry is nice and his heart isfilled with joy. When he got me
the pajamas, I did a happycry. And mister Larry said, I've
been driving buses for seven years. It's my passion because I get to build
bonds with children. I truly loveevery minute of it. And then the

(01:24:55):
flows flowing compliments came in on thearticle on the face Facebook page everywhere about
this guy. And I just wantto shout out to Larry Parrott Farish Junior,
and to all of you who drivebuses and do it with the joy
that this man does when he picksup and drops off kids every day and

(01:25:17):
looks out for him. There aregood people out there. Kind of a
little subplot to today's show, recognizingpeople that go over and above the call
of duty, recognizing it because thatis good news. Already laughing, Time

(01:25:58):
for a dad joke. The aresimple little funnies to share at church or
wherever. Did you hear about therestaurant on the moon. Yeah, it
was out of this world. Nogreat food, but no atmosphere. Dang,
I thought I had one there whowould have been two in a row

(01:26:20):

(01:28:59):
we uh, we covered a lotof ground today. You can go
back and listen to the big stories. Israel launching an attack on Iran.
It was very, very targeted, one location, military target. See that's
how normal nations do things. Theydon't attack civilians, families, babies,

(01:29:20):
children, They go for military targets. But no, no, that's not
the way everybody does it. Abunch of other stuff. We even talked
about compliments. Came up with anidea we'll advance that next week or week
after. Imbalances in pay scale, some are real, some are imagined,
