Speaker 1 (00:16):
Yeah, it just didn't seem right to handle today like
other days. Morning Friends. Thursday, amazingly, September eleventh, of all days,
Jose's here with me. I am Preston Scott. Welcome to
the Morning Show. Andy had just a very different day, right,

(00:43):
and so today is going to be reflective of that.
I'll explain in just a little bit kind of how
we're going to handle the day. But I want to
share it was so interesting. I woke up this morning
very early, as I do, and I had some notes

(01:04):
from some of our kids waiting in my text little folder,
and one of my sons shared this scripture with me.
It's Matthew ten, verses twenty six through twenty eight. So
have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that

(01:24):
will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
What I tell you in the dark, say in the light,
and what you hear whispered proclaim on the housetops. And
do not fear those who kill the body but cannot
kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both

(01:46):
soul and body in hell. That's Matthew ten, twenty six
through twenty eight. I thought those were remarkably appropriate words.
To start the program today. Obviously, unless you really have

(02:09):
been disconnected from the world, you are painfully aware that
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated yesterday. There

(02:37):
there were other events shooting at a high school in
a Denver suburb. Boy that sounds familiar. Three teenagers hospitalized
in critical condition, including the suspected shooter. The suspect believed

(02:59):
to be a student at the high school. But the
murder of Charlie Kirk has created an inflection point for
this nation. This is different. We'll get to some things

(03:30):
about Charlie in the course of time. I've reached out
to one of the leaders of Turning Point USA here
at Florida State University, Owen Gerard, who's been a guest
on my program. I did not have the fortune of
meeting Charlie. I know people who know him, knew him.

(03:57):
We'll certainly talk about that. I have written on my
blog page some thoughts. I've got a commentary that I did.

(04:17):
The sin of our nation is on full display. As
a friend of mine said, Charlie was the best of us.
He just wanted to talk. He literally wanted to engage

(04:42):
students on college campuses, across the country and around the world,
in dialogue, in debate, in ideas, in civil discourse, and

(05:02):
someone was so fearful of that ability to engage they
killed him. Now they have not caught the killer. They
thought they did. Cash Ptel thought they had the shooter.

(05:22):
They did not. It was not the old guy that
originally was arrested who was screaming. I have the right
to remain silent. I have the right to remain silent.
He's being held on obstruction charges, but he is not
the shooter. Will go through all of this, but today

(05:44):
I have canceled all guests. I've notified Steve Stewart, doctor
David Harts, and Blaze Andngolia. Sorry, and everybody understands what
we are going to do is I am doing. I
have done this fewer than five times in five thousand,

(06:05):
four hundred and fifty shows, primarily single topic. It's not
hurricane coverage certainly that interrupts a program. I have no
notes other than what I wrote in my commentary. We're

(06:31):
going to take calls as long as you want to
talk until I'm done this morning. So if you can't
join me later and you want to talk now eight
five zero two zero five WFLA eight five zero two
zero five ninety three fifty two. If you want to

(06:52):
just sit back and listen to the things that we'll
talk about in relation to this, including the celebration that
some people are engaging in online. But I'm going to
caution you do not react to this. I'm going to

(07:20):
ask you to consider what Charlie Kirk did in his
short life and respond. It's twelve past the hour. It's
the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Today is sadly September eleventh,

(08:09):
So we more in the loss of Charlie Kirk to
an assassin's bullet, one single shot. We continue to mourn
the loss of nearly three thousand, the attacks on the
World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and of course I don't

(08:32):
think the story has been fully told on any of that.
I've sadly gotten to a place of such distrust of
our government that I just think there's more to be told.
So there's you know, we're not We're just not going

(08:55):
to handle today's show the same. I can't do a
road trip suggestion. I can't pretend that yesterday didn't happen
and just sort of skip around it. Yesterday as I mentioned,
it's different. Charlie Kirk, as a teenager, felt called to

(09:17):
do something different. Charlie felt as if America's younger people
were being sold a bill of goods in public education
and universities, which is why he founded Turning Point USA.

(09:45):
And Turning Point USA became the single largest conservative movement
in the nation made up of young people. And it's
so remarkable what Charlie accomplished. By eighteen he had founded

(10:10):
this organization. I had heard of it when he started it.
Unlike Candace Owens, he didn't lose his way. Unlike others,
he stayed laser focused as strong as Charlie was, and

(10:33):
he foregoed a college education because he was steeped in
the knowledge of American history, world history, and his Christian faith.
Charlie could not just debate anybody about the United States Constitution,

(10:56):
the founder's government, the role of government. He could debate
anybody on Jesus and Christianity and the Bible, Old Testament
and New So Charlie was not just a martyr for

(11:18):
America's comeback. Charlie is a Christian martyr as well. We'll
start taking your calls next. It's seventeen minutes past the
hour eight five zero two zero five to WFLA twenty

(11:45):
two to twenty three minutes past the hour. Good morning
and welcome. We welcome your calls this morning, your thoughts,
what's your reaction? How are you feeling today? Ose? Who
do we have online? One? I forgot to get the
call screener up in time. It is Brian. Brian, thanks

(12:08):
for calling in this morning.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Good morning, Thank you for taking my call?

Speaker 1 (12:13):
What are you thinking today?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
I found out just how much he been to me
When I found out it was real that he had
been shy. He was one of my favorite people to
listen to, and he gave a lot of his hope
that he was making changes.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Because he was.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
And I'm very hurt, and also, you know, I'm angry,
but I'm not going to react. But I just think
that the media and people and politicians who spew things

(13:00):
that put fear into people's hearts and minds, especially menually
ill people like I know that a lot of times
Trump might call Bide and sleepy Joe, but you got
politicians that I actually call Kirk and Trump Nazis. And
you know, that's a pretty bad comment to make for

(13:22):
somebody mentally ill to take in their hearts and to
get full of fear and react and do things. And
I know that both sides have their are guilty of
saying things that are not good, but in my heart,
I feel like the Democrats do it way more often,

(13:46):
with Maxine Waters saying get in their faces. And we
all know the stuff that said, you know, we see
it obviously, but it.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Affects people, and then people do stupid stuff if people
get killed, and I don't know, I wish that.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
People would not.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Support media that spew hate like that, or or politicians
that spewed ain't like that. But I know that's pretty tough.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
It's a great idea, but a lot of people aren't
going to do it. They're still going to rely on
the sources that they hear from stuff. But I love Charlie.
I didn't realize how much I loved them till I
heard you. I was dead and I felt so bad
family and his kids. I feel bad, you know, But.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Anyway, Brian, thank you. I appreciate you making time to
share your thoughts. I can hear your emotion. I was
heartbroken right along with you yesterday. But thank you very
much for calling k you're up.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
I've heard.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
I've already told what I want to say to the
fella I was talking to. I was just telling him that. Oh,
I was just telling.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
The young man who is you need to turn the
radio down. Okay, it's distracting you.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
I'm sorry that.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Anyway, I had just told him about Steven being stoned. Yeah,
and I was so good. Okay, okay, all.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Right, okay, I got to move on. I'm sorry. I
appreciate you calling in, Folks. If you call in, you know,
OSE's going to tell you to turn your radio down.
You've got to have your radio turned down or it's
just it. We're on a delay and it's going to
totally throw you off because you can't listen to me
in the phone and listen on the radio. But kay,
please call back if you'd like to, if you've shared

(15:49):
what you want to say, that's fine. I understand. It's
twenty seven minutes past the hour. We're taking calls all morning,
eight five zero two zero five to WFLA. This just

(16:17):
Sucks Thursday show was rewritten by an assassin's loan bullet yesterday,
killing thirty one year old Charlie Kirk, the founder of
Turning Point, USA. Sources have told me that the bullet

(16:38):
hit his bulletproof vest and ricocheted up into his neck.
They have arrested two people. One cleared pretty quickly, an
elderly man who was videotaped reciting I have the right

(16:59):
to remain silent. He was cleared in the shooting, but
was arrested and held on obstruction charges. A second person
was detained that FBI director Cash Patel had tweeted out
believed to be the killer the shooter, and that person

(17:19):
was in fact cleared. There are things popping up online
posts that people had in advance of the event, that
the FBI, I'm quite certain is looking into, but as
of now they do not have the shooter. There are

(17:40):
reasons to think that this might be a pretty sophisticated assassination.
Charlie Kirk is believed to have been largely responsible for
delivering Donald Trump's victory by energizing young people across the

(18:03):
country by touring the nation's college campuses offering reasoned debate
and analysis of current affairs, politics, philosophy, and, oh, by
the way, defending his Christian faith. I'm taking your calls

(18:27):
at eight five zero two zero five WFLA K. Thanks
for calling back. I appreciate it. Go right ahead, Okay.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
I had just told jose that when I go through
times like this that I don't understand. I just cried
out of the Lord. Joseph came to mind in Genesis
how his brothers betrayed him sold into slavery. And you
remember at the end he said, what men meant for evil,
God meant for good. So in fact, you know, he
first came to mind, and I realized, I've got to
forgive and move on, and I just don't pray for

(18:55):
that family. Secondly, I thought of Esther, who ended up
saving her people even though she was Jewish, and you
know the story anyway. How again, you know, if she
had not done it, God would have provided someone else,
but she did. She risked her life not being summoned
by the king. So I mentioned that jose And then
thirdly I thought of this Stony of Stephen, and I thought,

(19:17):
here we have somebody who was talking to the very
Jewish people and trying to show them that Christ was
the proven messiahs all through the Old Testament is pointing
to him all those prophecies Christ fulfilled. O Her three
hundred prophecies.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
From birth to I understand that, Kay.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
And so those are the three that I just talked
to jose about. And I'm just I was anyway. I'm
sorry I broke down, but that's okay.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Thanks very much, Kay, I appreciate you calling back. Let's
go to John. Hi, John, thanks for calling in this morning.

Speaker 7 (19:52):
Good morning, Preston.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
How are you?

Speaker 1 (19:53):
I'm okay? How are you?

Speaker 7 (19:57):
Little broken? Horrored by friends?

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (20:03):
I been writing songs for about a year now. The
Lord has been given me and I wrote one this
morning on my way driving from Tampa to Tallahassee today
in memory of Charlie Kirk, and I would love to
read it over the air if I could.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
I've got about a minute, so go right ahead, all right.

Speaker 7 (20:28):
I am titled that there goes another Angel, Verse one.
We live in a world so divided. The hate is
so thick that you can't hide it. There are people
on the left, the right, and the middle. We have
no value of life, no, not even a little. There

(20:48):
are no more discussions to try to come to reasonable decisions.
We are quick to strike, using deadly precision. We haven't
changed much since the days of ain't enable killing one
another because our minds are so unstable. The chorus goes,
there goes another angel flying high in the sky. He

(21:10):
shared the truth, and for that he died. Charlie Kirk,
you will be deeply missed, as the tears flowed down
my cheek in a heavy mist Verse two. Charlie was
a great man, full of love and compassion as he
shared the Gospel on campuses all across our nation. He

(21:31):
had a heart for the loss, sinner and Christian, giving
us all a sense of much needed conviction. Charlie was
a vessel that contained so much light, never using God's
word to try and pick a fight. He only wanted
to show us a new and better way so we
could walk a new path, displaying love every day. Of course,

(21:55):
again there goes another angel, flying high in the sky.

Speaker 8 (21:58):
He shares the truth, and for that he john.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Thank you for sharing that, and drive home safely, my friend.
Forty one minutes after the hour, pat your next eight
five zero two zero five to be flat. Feel free
to share your emails Preston at iHeartRadio dot com. Getting

(22:23):
a lot of emails, as you would expect, but we're
taking calls all day. All the guests are off. It's
like I'd said, I've done this few within five times
in four and fifty shows where an event happened that

(22:43):
was so remarkable on so many levels that it took
over a program. And Charlie Kirk's assassination yesterday, the founder
of Turning Point. You say, a young man at the
age of thirty one, husband and father of two young

(23:06):
children that will grow up without their dad, lovely wife
without her husband. This is heartbreaking. The reaction on some
of the left is predictable. The reaction that some have

(23:30):
is demonic. It is the same type of reaction that
existed when they thought they killed Christ. And those of
us grieving today at the senselessness of this all can
grieve differently because we grieve with hope. Charlie Kirk is

(23:53):
a Christian martyr as well as a martyr like any
of those who died in the Revolutionary War for this nation.
He died for this nation. I'm not overstating that. And
so I want to just get to its calls and

(24:17):
information and we'll we'll intersperse it all. Pat thanks for
hanging in there.

Speaker 9 (24:23):
Okay, thank you, Preston.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Like I told you when I mailed.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
You, it was a perfect open. The people have blood
on their hands. You say that, people say that all
the time, But there are people with blood on their
hands this morning. Obama, Clinton, they all fascist, you know, Hitler, Nazi,
and they put these thoughts in weak minds, and this happens,

(24:50):
and I just can't It's just unfathomable. And that's that's
all I really wanted to say. I appreciate what you
do and thank you for having a forum for us.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Thank you, Pat, appreciate it very much. Always enjoy bumping
into at the store. I think that was well said.
You repeat certain things often enough, it takes hold. I've

(25:26):
never known conservatives to rejoice over the death of somebody,
let alone the assassination of somebody on the other side politically,
I've never known it to happen. Let's go to Dan. Dan,

(25:46):
thanks for calling in.

Speaker 10 (25:48):
Hey, Preston, good morning. People are losing sight of this.
We're so divided right now, and we're being divided by
the mainstream media. That's the biggest problem we face. The
goliath in the room. They profit from us being divided.
And until people realize what the mainstream media is doing,

(26:10):
this is just going to continue. It's going to get worse.
And I'm afraid that nobody is going to realize that
that we're we're the left is completely controlled by the
mainstream media. The right is controlled by them in a
different way. But until those until that changes, nothing's going
to change.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Well, what's interesting about that observation is that MSNBC already
fired Matthew Dowd for his comments yesterday The New York Times,
Washington Post, all these media outlets, I'm not sure they're profiting.
I'm not sure that these outlets are profiting.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Well there.

Speaker 10 (26:52):
That was just a token firing, just to show, Yeah,
we were listening to you what you say, that's all
that is. But I mean, no, they're profiting from the
I mean the people sponsoring them.

Speaker 11 (27:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Again, though, if you look at the numbers of people
watching those things or reading those things, or digitally subscribing
or whatever, they're all firing people, They're all having to
lay people off. I don't see that. I hear what
you're saying about the mainstream media being in the tank,
and they are in the tank on the left side
of the aisle. That We've known that for decades. But

(27:27):
I think that this goes a whole lot deeper. I
think this cuts into our public education system. I think
this cuts Yeah, and so I agree with you. I'm
just not sure that the media is a profit center
for this kind of stuff. But thanks for your phone call.
Forty eight minutes past the hour. Again, I've set aside

(27:48):
the whole morning, So hang in there. Yeah, different music,
different show. We're going to take just two calls in
this segment, and then next half hour I'm going to

(28:10):
share information with you, some things that we know, some
things that sources have have shared with me. Some of
it is going to be uh challenging because it induces anger,
but it's to illustrate some points and we'll try to

(28:31):
bring some context to it all. But Jeff, thanks for
being patient.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Yeah, this is just another example of we don't need
gun control, we need illiberal controls. That's the reality. And
you know the people that did this, and you know
what probably wasn't just one person, but the people that
did this. Remember, these people are inclusionary and they're mostly peaceful.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Ironic, isn't it.

Speaker 11 (29:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
I was blown away by the reaction to Charlie's assassination
on the left. I was absolutely stunned. I knew that
there were elements on the left that are unhinged. I
didn't know it was that much.

Speaker 11 (29:24):
We got to wake up.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Thank you, Jeff, appreciate the call. One more caller here,
let's go to Matt Hi.

Speaker 12 (29:29):
Matt Hey, Preston. Good to hear from you this morning.
I just wanted to make a short comment and get
you to extend over it, if you could, please, John
and devastated.

Speaker 8 (29:43):
It's hard to talk with an appling a throw.

Speaker 6 (29:48):
You know.

Speaker 12 (29:49):
I just want to remind everybody this is exactly what
Trump meant when he said that the mainstream media is
the enemy of the people from their lives, and they did.

Speaker 8 (30:01):
They teach and they preach. This is exactly what they
were looking for. And if you could please expand on that, Okay,
I really can't say much more.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Gotcha, man, Thanks very much. I hear it in your voice,
and there are a lot of people feel in the
exact same way. We'll talk about that. We'll maybe dig
a little beyond what you're expecting as well. We'll share
some things that you folks can can hear for yourself.
We'll also give you some information on what exactly happened,

(30:40):
and uh, just kick around some things. It is uh.
It's a sad day for a lot of reasons. Thursday,
here in the Morning Show with Preston Scott. How could

(31:06):
it be a typical, normal show such profound sadness. We're
remembering nine to eleven there was a school shooting in Colorado.

(31:29):
Thankfully no students were killed. But yesterday Charlie Kirk, the
founder of Turning Point USA, the single largest conservative movement
in the country and easily the most influential, especially among

(31:54):
younger people in this country, was shot and killed by
an assassin. It is believed that the shot came from
about two hundred yards away, about fifty yards further than
the shot that was taken at Trump. They believe they
know the building. There appears to be video of somebody

(32:14):
on that building laying down in a prone position. Can't
tell if they have a gun or not. It was
likely the shooter. That same person was seen running off
the rooftop in the moment subsequent to the shooting. I
am being told by sources that Charlie was wearing a

(32:39):
bulletproof vest and that the shot ricocheted off of it,
that it would have hit him near his collarbone and
to the front, but up high in his chest and
then it deflected off of the bulletproof vest and into
his neck. My hunch is it hit the crowd of

(33:00):
artery and he bled out, that would be my guess.
And they tried to save him. They tried giving him
units of blood, I'm told at the hospital, but he
succumbed to the wound. Here's what we don't know. We
don't know who did it. If you go to cash

(33:24):
Patel's X page and just scroll down on the most
recent post, the FBI is working alongside our local d
DA Da Da Da Dada because they thought they had
the shooter, not the first guy they arrested, which the
videotape showed him saying, I have the right to remain silent.
I have the right to remain silent. He's just creepy
old dude who they've arrested now on obstruction charges. They

(33:49):
kept him in jail, but he's been cleared in the shooting.
They arrested a second person, but they've cleared that person,
so the shooter is at large. There's some interesting things

(34:10):
here that some have said point to a very professional
contract killing. Utah Valley University is the largest university in
the state. Of Utah. It's bigger than the University of Utah.

(34:32):
It's bigger than Utah State University. It's the biggest forty
plus thousand students. He had his own private security, but
you obviously can't surveil an area like that. Charlie Kirk

(34:52):
was literally a sitting duck. He sits and takes questions,
He engages in discourse, debate. He defends the Christian faith,
and he does so brilliantly, or he did it is

(35:18):
It is important to note that the question he was
asked just prior to being shot was about transgender shooters
and mass killers. It is worth noting that standing just

(35:42):
behind him is a middle aged, maybe a little younger,
white male with hat, sunglasses, videotaping from the back. And
if you're a conspiracy theorist, you could say he gave

(36:04):
a signal because shortly after he just touched his hat
and moved it side to side. Briefly, Charlie Kirk was
shot and killed. There is there is no doubt that

(36:35):
whatever was orchestrated and planned. There are plenty of people
that had posted online things that suggest a knowledge that
something was going to happen. We'll talk more next it's
ten past the hour. We're not taking calls. Just this

(36:58):
moment A Shore with Preston Scott that a lone individual

(37:19):
would be so terrified of the words that Charlie Kirk spoke,
that he was willing to go to college campuses and
simply engage a guy who said, you know, you can't
dehumanize anybody because then it's too easy to hate. So

(37:46):
now we can debate. But he went on to college
campuses to ask one question, me wrong, and they would
talk about all kinds of things. He changed a lot

(38:08):
of minds. There's some he wasn't going to change. There
were definitely haters. But I'll tell you what I think
this assassination is really, when it's all said and done,
all about listen to this. Not going to name the guy.

(38:31):
This is what one guy posted right after Charlie was
shot and was pronounced dead.

Speaker 13 (38:39):
Let this be a lesson to all those other conservative freaks,
those little weirdos with podcasts.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Just know your next are on the line. Your next, No,
your next. He went on to use profanities because that's
what ill liberals do. I can guarantee you this liberals
did this. I can guarantee that the reason I can

(39:09):
guarantee it is because that's the mo of illiberalism. They
use profanities, they attack personally, and if that doesn't work,
because they don't have the argument to hold up and
have the intellectual conversation in this case, they resorted to shooting.
In this case, all of this language, I mean, you

(39:29):
should see the social media celebration on blue Sky and Reddit,
even on x on TikTok celebrating, celebrating anyone. And let
me just say this very clearly, the Bible says vengeance

(39:55):
is mine, says the Lord. We started with a scripture
this morning that points out that don't fear man, fear God.
But let me just say this, if you encounter anybody,

(40:16):
anybody in your world that is celebrating the assassination of
Charlie Kirk, have nothing to do with them. Shun them,
Shun them, don't engage, don't I'm going to pray for
you and walk away. Shun them. Have nothing to do

(40:36):
with them. They need to be pariahs in society. People
that would celebrate this, I've said repeatedly, I don't celebrate
the death of people that are my political or philosophical enemies.
This is something that is unique to the liberal this country,

(41:01):
the ability to celebrate the murder of someone who simply
offered debate. If you've never heard Charlie Kirk at his
college campus events, I challenge you to go to YouTube
and look up Turning Point USA and just watch someone

(41:26):
that comes up to him and starts criticizing him. He'll
applaud him for being willing to come up and talk
to engage. He said, you know what, we might disagree.
I've heard words of this effect so many times. You
know what, we might disagree, But I applaud you for
coming up and engaging with me and having the conversation.

(41:50):
Good for you, stay the course, stay with it. And
then he might say, but you're wrong. Charlie Kirk's wife
and two children were there when he was shot. They
likely watched their her husband, their father die, though they're

(42:13):
too young to process it. Three and one three year
old daughter, one year old son. If you'd like to
call in eight five zero two zero five WFLA eight
five zero two zero five ninety three fifty two running

(42:35):
just a tadlong their seventeen past the album This morning,

(42:56):
we've just wiped the show clean and cleared out time
for you. We've got all kinds of things to talk
about relative to the assassination of Charlie Kirk yesterday in
or in Utah. But I wanted to make time and
give you time. And we've been taking calls since the

(43:16):
very first half hour of the program eight five zero
two zero five WFLA, Debbie, thanks for calling in.

Speaker 14 (43:24):
Good morning, Preston, how are you?

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Oh? You know.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Endeavor feels to me like the day that JFK was shot.

Speaker 5 (43:34):
I'll never forget that.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
But to me, Charlie Kirk is a Patrick.

Speaker 15 (43:41):
Henry of our time.

Speaker 12 (43:43):
So give me liberty or give me deaths.

Speaker 14 (43:47):
I met the sons of liberty.

Speaker 15 (43:48):
We're in this country forever.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
Thank you, Debbie. I appreciate it. I hear the emotion
in your voice welling up as it is for many,
getting a lot of emails, a lot of different thoughts,
a lot of people praying as well. You should. Daniel

(44:17):
wrote in John sixteen thirty three. I've told you these
things so that in me you may have peace. In
this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I
have overcome the world. I want to share a scripture
that one of our sons sent my way and it

(44:37):
was so appropriate to the day I started the show
with it. Matthew ten twenty six through twenty eight says,
so have no fear of them. I want to pause there.
Did you hear the sound that I played? Oh? You
conservative weirdos? Your next next? Hah, You're funny, sick, twisted

(45:05):
human And look, I just spin right back around. And
I recognize that part of the goal of this is
to send a message, don't be talking. And what they
just did, I say they with the proviso. It could

(45:29):
be a loan shooter. It also could be an orchestrated shooting.
Don't know, but the liberal left is hoping that turning

(45:50):
point USA goes away. Now, let me tell you, Charlie
Kirk is uniquely qualified. There is not just like there's
an it's going to be another Rush. And by the way,
Rush recognized the skill set in Charlie Kirk years ago.

(46:11):
I listened to a SoundBite of Rush talking about meeting
Charlie in their conversation and his impressions of Charlie as
he walked away from that meeting. Charlie didn't need a note,
it was all locked in his heart. But what I

(46:32):
wanted to share is that the likelihood is that what
they just did is create maybe a million Charlie Kirks,
not Charlie Charlie Kirk, but others. I hope Turning Point
USA organizes itself to say, oh, really, let's double our efforts.

(46:56):
Don't go to inside auditoriums. Keep doing what you're doing.
The scripture says, so have no fear of them, for
nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden
that will not be known. What I tell you in
the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered,

(47:16):
proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who
kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear
him who can destroy both soul and body. In hell,
we don't walk in fear of these people. We don't
need to worry about revenge. We need to be about
our father's business. I guarantee you that's what Charlie Kirk

(47:40):
would say. I guarantee it. The left hates us, The
liberal extreme left hates us. We are Charlie Kirk, as
a producer, former producer of this show said to me
and texted me yesterday, he said, they hate us. That's

(48:02):
what they think of us, and the celebrations on Reddit
and blue Sky are emblematic of it. We cannot lower
ourselves into that place because we lose God in that place.
Twenty eight minutes past the out if you want to

(48:26):
call eight five zero two zero five WFLA. Yeah, I

(49:05):
just thought we needed to approach this radio program very,
very differently. Eight five zero two zero five WFLA. Got
a lot of email coming in. Preston at iHeartRadio dot com.
We have you know, posts on our ex page at
TMS Preston Scott. I would really encourage you to take

(49:27):
a look at my blog page because I took some
time last night and wrote some things and reflected on
the fact that Reddit and Blue Sky users, among others,
were rejoicing in the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I had
a listener writ in he said, it's sad to say

(49:51):
that I have had to delete and block my own
son on all social media platforms spewing the liberal propaganda
about Charlie Kirk, saying it was his fault he was
shot for spewing hatred and discontent. And he goes on
to talk about being a broken hearted dad and that
he has a kid that thinks this way, and there

(50:13):
are a lot of parents that are in the same spot,
So I get it. Anyone who thinks that way, what
they're really saying is they can't handle somebody sitting down
and calmly refuting the rhetoric on the left with facts, philosophy,

(50:40):
well constructed arguments. He didn't spread discontent. He advocated for
America tirelessly, the fact that it liberals and many on
the mainstream media left view that as discontent. But remember

(51:07):
these are the same people that look at the rioting
and vandalism and violence that have taken place in the
last decade and said, oh, it's mostly peaceful. This is
a time to sharpen our arguments. This is not a

(51:31):
time to go quiet. This is a time to get louder,
not more vitriolic. No need for that. The truth is
on our side, the truth about Jesus, the truth about
America that, though not perfect, is the greatest nation that
God is ever allowed to be birthed. And don't think

(51:52):
that God didn't birth it. God's hand is all over
the birth of this nation. I think when it's all
said and done, we may find this is a fairly
professional contract killing Charlie would have been shot in the head,

(52:14):
except that the line of sight from that building to
where he was seated his head was shrouded by the tent.
This was a shot in the upper torso that, according
to sources that we have here on the Morning Show,
ricocheted off of his bulletproof vest and then into his neck.

(52:37):
It likely severed the main artery running up through there,
and by the time he got to the hospital that
was that We're going to take your calls eight five
zero two zero five WFLA forty one minutes past the hour,
eight five zero two zero five WFLAM. I'll go ahead

(53:07):
and let you know this is likely going to alter
tomorrow's show. I'm not quite sure how yet. I just
I don't I'm as silly as this might sound to
some of you. I'm going to be praying about it.
I'm going to be praying about what to do for
tomorrow's show. We're not going to sit in Morning for

(53:30):
you know, thirty days or anything like that. But I
just I want to give some time today. Bill, Thanks
for calling in, Thank you for.

Speaker 7 (53:39):
Taking the call.

Speaker 4 (53:39):
Preston.

Speaker 14 (53:41):
I am just appalled at what I saw on the
news that occurred on the House or last night when
there was a call for a prayer and for Charlie
kirk and it was shouted down. How can people who

(54:04):
voted for these people that shouted that down look in
a mirror and say, yes, that's my representative. That that
to me. It's time for a politician to step up,
show what this person did that represents that area and

(54:27):
say this is not what we as Americans stand for.

Speaker 1 (54:34):
Sad sadly, Bill, some Americans do stand for that, and
that's the bitter reality. I appreciate you bringing that up
because honestly, I had not gotten to that yet. For
those of you that don't know, Lauren Bobert asked for
a moment of silence and prayer for Charlie Kirki's family

(54:55):
and Democrats not all. Some screamed no. Anna. Paulina Luna
of Florida then replied out loud, this is your all's fault.
A little truth to that, and it devolved from there.

Speaker 16 (55:21):
Matt, thanks for calling in. I, like most people that
have called in today or heartbroken when I heard the news.

Speaker 6 (55:31):
I loved watching Charlie debate and try to educate those
who talught and believe differently to himself, but he supported
their ability to do so. The freedom in America today,
we have several memories on this date for Americans to

(55:52):
remember and learn from. We have, of course, Charlie Kirk.
We have the attack on the Towers, and we have
been ghazzi and it's been this way for a long time.
In fact, in September of eighteen sixty, my wife great
grandfather was shot and killed because of his belief and

(56:15):
absolution of slavery.

Speaker 17 (56:18):
So also in my family, I have a first cousin
six times removed, who lost his fortune for signing the
Decoration of Independence.

Speaker 6 (56:31):
So I we are Americans. It's time to grieve, but
we should also remember and learn that we are a
country who it different to all the others. We through
our efforts, we need to continue to attempt to defeat

(56:55):
evil in this world.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
Thank you, man. I appreciate the phone call. You know,
the the pledge was altered one nation under God. Individual Sadly,
those that are not under God, that are not interested,
that have no moral compass, have in fact divided this nation.
And that's kind of where we are right now. I
appreciate the call. Mike Nancy, you are next eight five

(57:19):
zero two zero five were the rest of the show.
I'm just going to listen to you when we don't
have calls. I've got information to share, but this is
just your time to reflect on what's happened in the
last eighteen hours here in the morning show with Preston Scott. Yeah,

(57:45):
how do you play happy bump music and just kind
of pretend that yesterday didn't happen. I can't, I can't
do it. I came in this morning. I said, Ose,
I'm going to find another better music to play, because
I just I can't. I cannot do this, can do
and the typical bump music. I can't do the typical
intro to each hour, And I said, uh, get ready

(58:07):
because we're going to take some calls. And uh, Mike,
thanks for being patient this morning. I appreciate you calling in.

Speaker 6 (58:14):
Well.

Speaker 11 (58:14):
I got two kids of my daughter's twenty eight and
since twenty three, and they've been listening to Charlie for long.
I'm sorry about the case. I've been watching you for
a long time. And when they both called me, they
were about six to it. I know what I called

(58:35):
jus cry, she said, Dad, he's something like that. Because
I'll go out there and not talk right about America.
What we need to do. This is one of those things.
It's gonna be a turning point for our country. And
we can never foretell what Charlie siverg for a country.

(58:59):
We've got to remember or that if it was for
Charlie and Joe Rogan, Chok wouldn't be in the White House. Yea,
these other folks like Joe Rogan, great good sales, got boats.
Say it all with me, look over. So it's nothing
asked to do. Mike, we have sailed advocate.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
Thanks for listener, absolutely, Mike, thanks very much for calling in.
Phone connection was just a little shaky there, but I
think we got the gist of what you were sharing.
And uh and thank you Nancy euro up.

Speaker 15 (59:35):
Hey, good morning, Preston. I just broken so many you
know today, being nine to eleven yesterday, what happened with
Charlie kirk what happened at Cascade, the shooting in Colorado yesterday.

(59:55):
And like the previous caller, I have children. I have
of a sixteen and an eighteen year old, and both
found out when they were at school. Both are huge
Charlie kirksans. And I know my daughter who is a
freshman at FSU saw I saw it, and I wish

(01:00:18):
I hadn't, but saw the video of Charlie being shot,
and I just I'm so disturbed that we live in
a time where this kind of information, these kinds of
videos are readily available because kids, and my kids are kids,

(01:00:39):
they're still very young in my eyes. They don't have
the capacity to process this and then try to carry
on like everything is okay, because it's not okay. I mean, clearly,
what happened yesterday was beyond beyond deplorable and disgusting, you know,
watching a man get publicly executed for standing up for

(01:01:00):
this country and what he believed in. And I would
just encourage anybody who has kids that they talk to
them and let them know that it's okay to be sad.
My sixteen year old yesterday is the young man was
in tears.

Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
Yeah, absolutely, So.

Speaker 15 (01:01:19):
We need to let these kids know that one it
is not normal for this stuff to be going on,
and in rapid fire succession, there's been so much horribleness
happening lately.

Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Yeah, Nancy, I've got it. We are up against a
break at the top of the hour that I can't
move but I thank you for sharing. You probably echo
a lot of thoughts that a lot of parents are having.
I would say, you know, yes, it's okay to be
sad and mourn, but not to be silent. The third hour,
more of your calls are next eight five zero two

(01:01:52):
zero five to be a fla. All right, five minutes

(01:02:12):
past the hour we're getting worth The FBI may be
providing an update on the assassination. If that happens and
we can join it in progress, we will do so.
And so if that were to take place and I
have to kind of suspend phone calls, I hope you'll understand,
but we're taking calls for a few minutes here this morning.

(01:02:33):
We've done it all morning long, each and every hour
on the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning
Point USA. He started it when he was seventeen or
eighteen years of age and turned it into one of
the most consequential political movements in this nation's history, and
he spearheaded it. If you look at its breadth, it's staggering.

(01:02:58):
They have over thirty five five one hundred school chapters,
two thousand student groups, and better than eight hundred church groups.
All because one young man said I'm going to make
a difference, and he did. Sheldon, thanks for being patient.

(01:03:22):
What are your thoughts this morning?

Speaker 13 (01:03:25):
Yes, sir, I wanted to thank you, first of all
for answering my question when you expanded on the verse
stript of your son said bottom line you can't find
in kind. My question was has the time come for
us to begin to deal with these radicals as David

(01:03:48):
dealt with Goliath as opposed to how he dealt with
Saul when both were trying to kill him. I know
some changes safe place. I'm just not sure what it is.
It seems it whether it's mister Kirk's assassin for the
guy that kills the twenty three year old Ukrainian rit dugee,

(01:04:11):
or whether it's food to Russia attacking Ukraine are untills.
There are severe consequences for that kind of conduct. I
don't see any incentive for them stop.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Sheldon. Thanks very much. I appreciate you calling in. I
know that you probably represent the thoughts of many. I
don't disagree with the overall general sentiment that you express,
but I don't think it's responsible for any of us

(01:04:47):
to view this as well. We have to take vengeance.
We have to you know, we had someone called in
this morning. It's time for illiberal control. Remember, God's the
final judge of all of this. Now, it doesn't mean

(01:05:08):
that you stand by if someone's going to try to
do harm to you and your family. Charlie Kirk was
wearing a bulletproof vest, I'm told, and the shot reflected
off of the off of the vest and ricocheted into
his neck. They had security at the event, they had

(01:05:30):
private security at the event, they were campus police at
the event. What do you do if somebody wants to
and is willing to take the risk, to pay that
price to try to kill somebody, they'll try. Let's go
to Pedro Hello, Hey.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Good morning, Preston.

Speaker 18 (01:05:49):
I'm gonna make this one quick because I got to
bring my daughter to school. But yeah, it's it's a
very sad and you just shocked me with the statement.
I didn't know he was wearing a bullet proof vest.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
That's what we've been told that has not been released
to the public. That's what sources have told me.

Speaker 18 (01:06:10):
Yeah, and I've looked at the footage over and over
and over again. I'm trying to look at where the
entrance was and then you know, it's hard. You just
see the horrific images. But I just want to say
this real quick. Maybe maybe and I'm I'm maybe it's
just my way of coping with this. I believe that,

(01:06:31):
you know, God was using Kirk as a tool, just
like used his only son, you know, And out of
one Charlie Kirk, there's gonna be I'm really sure there's
gonna be thousands and thousands of Charlie Kirk's young young
are you it's it's going to be waking up and

(01:06:52):
it's it's uh, it's it's a process. But I believe this,
this is a movement, and I don't know. It's hard
to cope with these things now, and so I just
hope that we can heal and be stronger than ever.

Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
Give you a little girl a hug, Pedro, Well do, sir,
thank you, thank you. I don't disagree with that. Greg,
stand by, We're going to come to you next. I
think that the effort to shut down Turning Point USA
to intimidate is going to fail miserably. They have made

(01:07:32):
Charlie Kirk a martyr for the cause of defending America,
and they've made Charlie Kirk a martyr for the cause
of defending Christ, and to be honest with you, that's
the one that you're on the wrong side of, and
that's the one that pays the eternal consequence. Ten past

(01:07:52):
the hour, if you want to join me A five
zero two zero five to b FLA being told the
FBI update will happen at the top of the hour
and so hopefully Glenn Beck will be carrying that live

(01:08:17):
after the top of the hour news. But you can
look for that on your streams. I'm sure it'll be available.
I have a blog post up on this that you
can take a look at. But Greg, thanks for calling
in this morning.

Speaker 19 (01:08:34):
I'm as depressed as everyone else because there's just too
many coincidences. Again on the roof, didn't we learn anything
from Butler Pennsylvania, small gathering of real, small religious congregation,
just like in the Minneapolis school shooting. Let us just

(01:08:58):
hope this is not another transgender or someone who fell
away from the church. And but let me also stay
on the record, as I told jose if you want
to call off Friday's morning show and blame the Packers
home opener on Amazon Primes Thursday Night Football, you are

(01:09:19):
by no means alone.

Speaker 1 (01:09:22):
Greg, Greg, come on now, stay stay on point. Now.
We'll be here tomorrow. We will be here tomorrow. I

(01:09:45):
have been told, just to reiterate something that I talked
about with Pedro, I have been told that Charlie was
wearing a bulletproof vest, that the gunshot came at an
angle that then ricocheted off of the very top of

(01:10:06):
his vest and reflected into his neck. I have looked
at a stop of that moment. It seems plausible. Many

(01:10:27):
thought that, including former US Congressman Jason Chafitz out of Utah.
He was there, he was there with his kids. He
loved Charlie, they were friends. He thought, surely that had
to be a gunshot from close by. Now it was
probably two hundred yards away. It was an elevated position.

(01:10:49):
And that's why Charlie wasn't shot in the head. The
tent he was under obscured the view of his head.
The lower part from his shoulders down was visible from
that angle more than likely, and that's what accounted for
the shot to the chest. This is a horrible indictment

(01:11:20):
on this country. I'm gonna share a little bit more information.
We'll talk a little bit more about some things. Perhaps
we'll take some more calls later on in the hour,
but I'm gonna get to some emails that have come
in next, so we'll suspend the calls for a few
and maybe get back to some in the latter half
of the hour. Sixteen passed this morning show with Preston's Guy. Yesterday,

(01:11:59):
when and I got worried that Charlie had been shot,
I started following everything that was going on and put
out some phone calls. And you don't do what we
do for twenty three plus years without getting to know people.
And so we knew people who knew people, and we
knew about thirty minutes before President Trump made the announcement

(01:12:20):
that Charlie Kirk had passed away. We're talking about it
this morning, a little cathartic exercise. It will take time.
I'm angry. I am really hot, but I'm mindful of

(01:12:46):
a scripture that says, in your anger, do not sin.
It is quite all right to be angry. You have
to hold it in check. I don't know what bothers

(01:13:07):
me more the fact that Charlie was gunned down by
a coward motivated by political philosophical hate, or that there
are thousands and thousands of people in this country celebrating it.

(01:13:36):
Got this note from Ray this morning. The evil that
is in our nation and world is heartbreaking. The Great
Deceiver influences so many. I'm not sure how the new
few chapters go, but I know how the book ends,
and that gives me comfort. Yesterday a million new Charlie

(01:13:57):
Kirks were created. Chuck wrote in seems like guerrilla warfare.
Question is are they trying to terrorize or provoke us?
I'm not calling for retaliation, but I wonder if that's
what they're hoping for. That came from Chuck. Linda wrote in,

(01:14:24):
I thought this scripture is so appropriate to the assassination
of Charlie Kirk and for all believers. It's John fifteen,
eighteen and nineteen where it says, if the world hates you,
know that it has hated me before it hated you.
If you were of the world, the world would love
you as its own. But because you are not of
the world, but I chose you out of the world,

(01:14:47):
Therefore the world hates you. Wow. Honestly that lifts my
heart's kind of only God can do kind of way.
And and the world hated Charlie, because he could articulate

(01:15:16):
the truth of the Gospel of Christ without tearing anybody
else down, just lifting up Jesus. He could defend the
foundation of this nation, the purpose of this country without
a note. George shared this with me from Charlie Kirk.

(01:15:49):
The assassination culture is spreading on the left. Forty eight
percent of liberals say it would be least somewhat justified
to murder Elon Musk. Fifty five percent said the same
about Donald Trump. In California, activists are naming a ballot
measure after the guy who shot and killed the CEO
for United health Care. I won't name him. The left

(01:16:12):
is being whipped into a violent frenzy, and he set back.
Whether losing an election or losing a court case justifies
a maximally violent response. This is the natural outgrowth of
left wing protest culture tolerating violence in Mayhem for years
on end. The cowardice of local prosecutors and school officials
have turned the left into a ticking time bomb. Boy

(01:16:36):
with those words prophetic got this note from Charles of
all the days to hear this on your radio show
nine to eleven. I am deeply saddened my wife's father

(01:16:57):
has been in the hospital for urgent for emergency surgery.
We've been driving up there, so we haven't been keeping
up with events. So I'll be praying for the Charlie
Kirk family. But I need to pray for myself because
this has angered me. We have dealt with the intolerance
of the left for too long, and for too long

(01:17:19):
they have gotten away with this. My thoughts are not
with the teachings of Jesus right now. I've got to
set a good example for my boys. So I need
to reflect and read the good book Matthew, Luke and
John I can do better. I gave a written pat

(01:17:43):
on the back to Charles for his transparency his awareness.
I shared a scripture too with him. President at iHeartRadio
dot com is the website or the email address if

(01:18:05):
you want to send it to me. The website w
FLA FM dot com or WFLA Panama City dot com.
You can check out my blog page. We'll talk more next.
Take a break twenty seven minutes past the hour. It
is the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Before we get

(01:18:39):
to a few more email got some updated information and
again this is not confirmed, but it is reliably sourced
and exclusive to the program. Ou reparts of the statement

(01:19:03):
that has been forwarded to me. Suspect fired one shot
from an elevated position on a rooftop and an adjacent
building on campus. Surveillance video shows the suspect jumping off
and fleeing the area on foot. Atf other law enforcement
located an older model imported Mouser thirty odd to six
caliber bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel in a

(01:19:25):
wooded area near the campus. The location of the firearm
appears to match the suspect's route of travel. Spent cartridge
was still chambered, in addition to three unspent rounds at
the top of the FED magazine. All cartridges have engraved
wording on them expressing transgender and anti fascist ideology. An

(01:19:52):
emergency trace has been submitted in atf SLC IS working
leads generated by the trace, The firearm and amy nito
have been taken by the FBI for DNA analysis and
fingerprint impressions, and it goes on from there. That's what

(01:20:13):
we've received. If that's accurate, you know, more than ninety
nine point nine percent of the people in this country
at this point does it matter only if it leads
to catching the person that did it, if they have
a direction that the that the perpetrator went. They are

(01:20:38):
right now gathering every security video image in that area
and looking for somebody that matches a description of a
person dressed in black leaving the scene. There are cameras
everywhere in our societ today. I'll go this far. If

(01:21:04):
they want to find him, they will. It would be
interesting to me if, in fact, there were a couple
of posts online that have been highlighted and noted to

(01:21:28):
the FBI. One is from someone who's already changed their
handle on x Charlie Kirk is coming to my college tomorrow.
I really hope someone evaporates him literally posted later. Let's

(01:21:54):
just say something big will happen tomorrow. There's another post
from somebody different that says, Charles James Kirk, mister college dropout,
does not know what's coming tomorrow. Be ready. This isn't
a threat, it's a promise, and then post it underneath

(01:22:18):
that it's a bad day to be Charlie tomorrow. Hashtag
Utah Valley University UVU, hashtag Charlie Kirk, hashtag liberal hashtag
debate hashtag fyp forty minutes past the album video, just

(01:23:00):
after Charlie had been shot of a guy celebrating right
in front of him, turning and looking back, smiling, arms
pumping up and down. He needs to be He needs
to be known, outed and socially sun shunned people posting

(01:23:36):
some of this stuff, some of the hate people on
Reddit and blue Sky probably need to be investigated. They're
just sick anyway. Uh, let me let me get to
some some more. Email here wrote in I had a

(01:24:02):
difficult night sleeping, woke up at three am, could not
fall back asleep because my mind could not wrap itself
around the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I've often watched his
YouTube videos. He always tried to be civil and considerate,
honest when he engaged his audience. I'm sure that this
was a challenge for him. Sometimes. I feel confident that

(01:24:23):
if there was an example of where he had lost
as cool with anyone, there would have been enough cameras
around that it would have been all over the web.
This murder was an attack on everything America stands for,
everything morality stands for, and against what Christianity stands for.
He would defeat those who challenged his ideas with logic, beliefs, testimony,

(01:24:44):
employing a confident humility that often exposed the folly of
his opponent's position without a doubt. This caused many young
people to question their liberal ideas. This was considered dangerous
by those who opposed the ideas that he stood for.
If they could not find flaw in Charlie's armor to
try and bring him under control to some extent, they

(01:25:04):
had to eliminate him before he could take his mission further.
Charlie was not Christ, but was his servant. But like Christ,
he was killed because his movement threatened the status quo
of the liberals. I pray that his love for our country, Christianity,
and morality will be magnified to turn back those who
seek to destroy our nation. Thank you, Howard, A listener

(01:25:30):
in Jacksonville, Eric wrote in I'm a man of faith
in Jesus and have been struggling the last year or
so with anger over the wickedness in this world, and
especially the last week or two have stoked anger again
like I haven't felt before. Yesterday, as I sat in disbelief,

(01:25:50):
praying for guidance, I asked God to please soften my
heart and bring peace to both the country and myself.
If anything good can come of this, I hope people
will feel the peace that filled me after sitting in
thought and prayer. Only that can come from God. Brianna
writes in I just wanted to say that, as a

(01:26:12):
mom of five, my heart is absolutely shattered for his
wife and children. His wife just lost the man who
she loved wholeheartedly and has to still be a mom
to those sweet children. She will be grieving and have
to comfort and make things okay for her children. It
breaks me in a way I cannot express. I pray
for their family, for his wife to have the strength

(01:26:32):
to continue on, for those babies. Martin wrote. Sin wrote
in I've heard several times that if Democrats would stop
shooting people, ninety percent of the shootings would end. I
don't know if that's true to you. My heart breaks
for Charlie's family. May may they be covered in God's peace.

(01:26:55):
My reply was it rings of truthfulness, though only through
an educated guests. We'll see, they'll find the killer if
they want to. We'll see. Forty six minutes past the

(01:27:16):
out wrap things up with a few thoughts on my own.

(01:27:43):
I want to end with a few thoughts I jotted
down yesterday on the blog page. I honored the events
of the day, the moment I found out Turning Point
USA founder Charlie Kirk had been shot, had sources connected
at the White House in new thirty minutes before or
President Trump's announcement that Charlie had died of his wound.

(01:28:03):
I grieve, but knowing Charlie is with our Lord and savior. However,
I'm grieving, to be sure, I'm heartbroken for his wife
and his two children. There will be plenty of time
to remember the incredible force Charlie was in our nation,
But for now I am holding back my rage. Yes,

(01:28:29):
I'm angry. I've been texted about the rejoicing over Charlie's
murder by users of Reddit and Blue Sky. The text
to me went on to say, we cannot live with
those people. I'm not unsympathetic to that idea. In fact,
it was a thought running through my mind which inspired

(01:28:49):
my one minute monologue. The only motivation for this killing
is ideological political. Anyone on either side of the isle
who actually ever met and talked talked with Charlie walked
away thinking what a good guy. Certainly Some may not
agree with him, but the number of folks who genuinely
like the guy, regardless of viewpoint, underscores that an illiberal

(01:29:14):
killed him. I know it. I know it because the
liberals cannot engage in debate and discussion without profanity and
personal attacks. Whoever this illiberal is was so frightened by
Charlie's intellectual heft and influence he guessing had to murder him.
We will find out who did the deed. Does Utah

(01:29:38):
allow for firing squads? Sin was on display by the
act of one and the reaction by way too many.
This is what I wrote for my commentary Utah Valley University.
A loathsome, cowardly illiberal America hating assassin killed Turning Point

(01:29:59):
USA founder Charlie Kirk. One shot was fired and Kirk
was shot in the neck from a building about two
hundred yards away. Kirk was literally a sitting target. As
a friend said to me, Charlie Kirk was the nice
guy who talked to the left, met them on their
terms on their ground college campuses. The Reddit and Blue
Sky community is rejoicing in Charlie's death. It's sickening, and

(01:30:22):
anyone that thinks that way should be shunned in all
of society. Charlie Kirk engaged in civil discourse. That will
be very difficult moving forward, because, as a former producer
of mine said, we are Charlie Kirk, and that is
what they think of us. I agree. And to all

(01:30:44):
illiberals who think that statement is a little extreme, prove it.
Brought to you by Barono heating in air. It's the
morning show one on WFLA. No need to recap much, right.

(01:31:08):
You can find it on my blog page if you
are interested in sharing or just looking over those words again.
Yeah to a liberals, prove it, Prove that you don't hate.
Prove that you can engage in dialogue and debate. Prove it.

(01:31:30):
Prove that you can do it without personal attacks and
insults and profanities. Prove it. Find the killer. People on
the left probably know who he is. Prove it, prove, prove,
prove your decent person. Today was a challenging day. No

(01:31:55):
need for a pat on the back to me or
Jose we are you know. I didn't read this part.
I didn't read every little thing in my note. I
decided that, you know, I wanted to take calls because
misery not only loves, but sometimes needs company. I didn't

(01:32:17):
want to be alone. I just wanted to talk with you,
and so I appreciate those of you that called and
emailed and shared your thoughts and your tears. We might
do it again tomorrow. I don't know. I don't know.
Charlie Kirk is resting in peace. Trust me. What happens next,

(01:32:42):
we'll have to wait and see. Talk to you tomorrow
morning
