So you've made it through three hours of the regular
show on terrestrial radio and you wanted a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
So that's why you found the Gun Talk After Show
podcast where we saved all the best things that we
can't say on regular radio. Now here's Tom, Michelle and
Jim for the Gun Talk after Show.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
It's time for after show. We're just having some fun.
I'm over here in Texas, cruising around the Great state
and having a ball with some of the Texans around here.
We've got Tom and Jim today.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Hello JITs hello, Hello Hello.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
You talk about a state that has a lot of pride.
Texas has always had that with good reason. That's a
great state. Yeap?

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Are you as cool? And I don't mean temperament wise,
Yeah no, no no.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
And their gun laws aren't anywhere near as stupid as Michigan's.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Okay, let's go to Michael and we should talk about that.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Or Colorado for that matter. Yeah, speaking talked to Michael
and Centennial Colorado. How are you doing, sir, I'm doing
very well, sir.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Thank you for asking and have I hope everyone has
a safe Christmas and enjoyable Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I agree.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
So we were talking about lubricates and stuff that you
put on your guns, and you had a thought here.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Well, most people, ninety nine percent of people have never
heard of this stuff, but it is absolutely the best stuff.
It puts WD forty in any other penetrant knocker lose.
It puts them all to shame. You can only get
it at like somebody an airport supply. Anybody that works

(01:56):
on aircraft, they'll know about this stuff. But it's called
aerow croil. And I told the guy on the phone
earlier that I had a hat, a sixty six ford
half to.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
And pick up.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
I had to replace a pittmanent arm. I beat on
that thing. I did everything. I could not get it off.
I sprayed aero coil on it and went in the house.
The next morning I came out and the pittmanent arm
was laying on the ground.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Croyle is k r O I L And I just
looked it up. You know who has it? Is home depot?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Huh, I have it there? I have never seen it.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Well, they may not be in the story. It's on
their website. They have aerocroil. Now, I was familiar with croyl,
but I was not familiar with the aerocoil.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Is the aerow for because it's an aerosol.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Aerow coil and silver coil. The sila coil isn't as
used as much because I worked at an aerospace company
and you can't have silic any kind of silicone around
rocket engines. It's just's not a good mixerk croil is
what we usually use. But it's about forty forty five
dollars a can.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, yeah, it's expensive. I'm looking, well, you know what
it is. It's twenty eight dollars at home depot, but
it's forty five dollars if you buy it from an
aviation supply store.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
It's like a two dollars spark pull across you. Forty
five BLUs.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Do you think, oh, every mid of it.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I've never I'm just not sure if regular croyle is
the same as aerocroil and silicoil. I mean, well, and
maybe they're three different ones. Yeah, it appears it's only
been familiar with the aerowcroyl until a coroil, and I
only use the aerowcroyl.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, it appere's a company called Cano or Cano makes aerocroyl.
But there's also a company called Croyle that has an
aeroscand so they've heard aero croyl is expensive stuff.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, the aerocroyl. This is what they have this at
the home depot website. And what is this twenty eight Yeah,
twenty eight twenty a can for the aerosol. So that's
less than aviation prices. So there's the thought. So on
a gun, if you had a gun that had locked up,
or you got a screw you can't get out, would

(04:08):
that be the application for using this?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Oh? Yeah, I'm a firm believer in this stuff. It's
like magic. I mean, it's not gonna You're not gonna
sit there and spray it on and then wait two minutes.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
You know.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
But if you've got something that nothing else is working,
you put this stuff on it. It's gonna work, but
you have to give it time to do its job.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Okay, it's like TV blaster on steroids.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
I've never I've never tried it on, you know, I
don't know immediately. I always just from experience. I always
let it sit right, and it depends on why it's
bound up. But I've had stuff only had to let
it sit fifteen minutes. I've had other stuff, like I said,
on a pitman arm and and I had the nut
off and everything. It was the splines that were all

(04:53):
rusted up. But yeah, I mean I let it sit overnight.
Did I have to? I doubt it, But just how
it works out.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, Well you know the drill. It's like you said,
well that's expensive. Yeah, but it was worth it. If
you can't get that thing off any other way and
you're going to be reduced to cutting it off or
the torch, this is very much worthwhile.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
I've never seen this stuff not work.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
That's mind wow, wow, no doubt, that's strong, very good.
Well what do you use on your guns to protect
them like from rust and stuff?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Oh? I just I just used regular gun. Well, I
mean I just freaking I'm always cleaning them and luping
them up. But I wouldn't I wouldn't hesitate to use
I wouldn't hesitate to use croyl on them. I mean
I never thought about it really because it's so you know,
prohibitally expensive. I've towards just letting it kind of sit

(05:46):
on the shelf for when I really need it and
then that's my go to. But I never thought of
using it until you guys had this show. As they're
talking about it, I started asking myself, well, why haven't
I used it?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
I don't have an answer for that.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Are you all love this? I just looked this. There's
a multipurpose lubricant precision small instrument drip can of micro
oil from cano, same people, and this is one gallon
for one hundred and thirty dollars. Wow, Wow, Holy cow.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Well you get all your buddies together and go in
on it and you do it.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
That's true. Probably a gallon would last your lifetime between
several of you.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Oh well, the aerowcroyl that I've always used the only
reason doesn't last me very long because I try to
preserve it because of the cost, because somebody steals it
from me. Some friends when they see how good it works,
it was like, hell's my croyal?

Speaker 1 (06:44):
You know? Okay, I you know what you got to do.
You got to take the label off of a can
of WD forty you put it on that.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Well, that's a good idea because the can itself is
like painted. You know, like any other thing that I've
never I've never thought about it.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Nobody was going to steal a can of W forty.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Well, I'm just more cautious who I let in my garage.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Well there's there's that, because you know, tools tend to
sprout legs and walk off too, so you gotta be careful.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Oh yeah, yeah, I've lost more stuff over the year
I couldn't even count, and a lot of a lot
of it's when I left it with someone for safe keeping,
which turned out to be not so safe.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Oh well, live and learn.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Yeah, that's right. That that sounds like stories best told
over at adult Beverage.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Right there, been there, done that.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
There you go. Hey, look I appreciate the call, Michael,
and good idea aerocroyle. That is pretty cool. I had
not heard that heard of croyle, but I had never
heard of aero croyle before, so it's you know, it's
one of those get out of jail kind of products.
You go, Okay, I can't get this sob off here

(07:56):
any other way. I've been hanging on it, you know,
all afternoon. I'm gonna hose it down, leave it overnight,
and come back tomorrow and see what happens, and Jim
just fell off off. Michael says, I've never had it
not work. Okay, there you go, you know, and if
you're worried about where you're going to store it, don't
because somebody will come steal it.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
You're not gonna have it long.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
That's right, that's all good. God.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Oh, we have a topic here.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
In town I'd like to cover at some point with
you that I'm sure it's a nationwide but let's pick.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
That up on the backside, take our break and we'll
come back and let gym pontificate here.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Is that what you call a segue toime is that.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's it's my way of saying, we're going to stop
talking for a minute.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Jim, Oh, okay, I picked up on the finally thay
me twenty two years, but I.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Got it there you go, all right, be right back.

Speaker 5 (09:00):

(09:21):
make Brownell's serious about firearms since nineteen thirty nine.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
All Right, we're back, and Jim's got a holiday story
that's not necessarily a cheery story.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
No, it isn't. And I'm guessing this is nationwide.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
But my police friends in the area we've been talking
and I've seen a lot of stuff online about it,
and they backed up the reports. There's a three to
fourfold increase, three to four hundred percent, for you England
mathematicians of purse snatching going on right now because people
are so desperate for money and instead of robbing somebody,

(10:07):
they just grab it from your shoulder and run off.
Oh and it's a different kind of crime, I guess,
because it's still stealing. But I guess it's not assault
and et cetera. So I guess just the quick way
you run out their car and you're gone.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, but I see where you're going.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
So what do a lot of women carry in their
purses that they shouldn't. Well, you guessed it on the
show called gun Talk. Anybody want to.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Get So they're stealing purses and some of them actually
have their guns, yep.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
And then they're putting things online. Please bring me whoever
stole my purse at Kroger.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Oh yeah, good luck. Really, you're seriously right that it's
not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I don't care about the money and kill anything else.
I just want the gun back.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Well, how about you think that through on the front end,
ladies or anybody carrying a purse.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Well, yeah, okay, let's talk about that for a sec
One is, obviously, if you're gonna be carrying a person
needs to go over your head a cross body. Uh,
it should if you're carrying a gun in it, it
should have a metal strap inside the leather strap so
they can't slice it with a razor, which is one
of the things they do.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Uh. The other, of course is maybe try on body
instead of in purse carry, which could be done.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I don't even know about. Maybe that was my first
go to.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, well yeah, it's definitely more secure way if you
could carry it on your body. Of course, someone are
gonna say, well, it doesn't fit the way I dress, okay,
with then maybe we ought to reconsider how you're.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Dressing to just well, there's in the past there, you know,
twenty five years ago, there weren't a bunch of comfortable
options for women and your tactle purses came out, and
that kind of said, well, okay, well that makes sense
until your purse is stolen. But then the flash bangs
came out, and the belly bands and the even the
old what do they call it, the fanny packs people wear.
Even that's better than than a person on your shoulder.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I mean, but yeah, the belly band, which is just
an elastic strap goes underneath the close works really well.
That's not a bad way to go. You've got the
deep concealment basically inside the pants around your cross kind
of the thunderwear, uh kind of a system. There are
those out there.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Is there any any reason a woman can't use a
smart carry?

Speaker 1 (12:22):
No, I mean it's the same as a thunderwear, same
thing as the same. Yeah. And then of course there's
just appendix carry, which actually works really well if you've
got like a crop not a crop top, but just
a top that's worn outside that drapes down you know,
your shirt or blouse that I thought, No, the crop
tops shorter, we're exposed to belly.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
I mean, appendix carry and smart carry crash.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Smart carry looks like modified jock strap almost yah, yeah,
kind of inside the pants, you strap it around and
you put your pants on over it, you have to
reach down inside your pants. So it's okay. Yeah, so
but now there are just tons of appendix carry options
out there, and you can go sticky holster, you can

(13:13):
go regular holster. All that to say, yes, Jim. For
the other thing is, if you are a woman carrying
a purse and you got a gun in it, you
cannot put it down in a shopping cart. You cannot
put it down and walk away from it. In a restaurant,
I mean you cannot because you're putting your gun out

(13:36):
there for somebody to grab. At that point, you just
can't do it right.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
And for the objections of well, I can't get too
as fast as I can on my purse if I'm
belly band carried, well, first of all, you can if
you practice. Second of all, that's the least of your
problems versus ivan your gun stolen.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Well, your gun stolen, and you know it's not going
to be going to a good person, correct, So there's
all of that. So okay, that is a really interesting
tidbit there along the lines of crime and holidays. I've
really wanted to like wrap up a ups package and
put like one hundred and fifty pounds of stuff in

(14:12):
it and watch the ports pirates come trying to grab
it things to take off with it. You know, I
know people put like glitter bombs and things like that
in there, and I would want that involved.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Gift card to your local chiropractor on top.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Yeah exactly, you know, but if you know, it wouldn't
be great to have like one hundred pounds of reloading
lead or something in there, bar belts, bar bells. Yeah,
just chuck them in there, you're and just let the
camera roll as they grab it.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
You make me want to go to a groad seale.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
If you could bring up like some kind of electromagnet
that's remotely switched on.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Sure you could. With enough money, you can do anything.
You know, it's sure you could.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Carrying it along and all of a sudden.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Yeah, And of course there's always the jerk line. Have
you've seen the ones that the guys that had the
backpack and they leave a backpack sitting there, Oh yeah,
yeah yeah, and a guy comes along and to steal
the backpack and puts it on and like he's gonna
walk away, Like this is my backpack, and then of
course the guy who's got to sit up, he hollers him, hey,
you put that back down. The guy takes off running

(15:19):
and they've got like a twenty foot length of rope
peeling out of the back of the backpack and he
hits the end of this thing and his feet go
flying up in the air. You're going, you know, that's
so cruel and I love every bit of it.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Yeah, and it's sad.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Thing is though, you know, you'd be sued like crazy
if he broke his back or something. But good problem
to have it. Well, it's like, yeah, we might take
have you seen the other stuff? They take it even further.
They do the same thing with bicycles. They have a
real thought like aircraft cable so you don't see it
and they drive away and it just well, the other thing,
the other thing that's doing bicycles is putting a spike
that comes up through the seat.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Now that okay, no, that could be a little far.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah, no, that's going too far. We're not doing that one.
But I don't know the whole rope deal. I go
back to and women who grew up with brothers, like
the Three Stooges and women who didn't have brothers don't
understand the Three Stooges, And what we're describing here is

(16:20):
this is pure Three Stooges slapsticks. Sure, so it's it's
just funny. I mean it's like, okay, physical physical slapstick humor. Yeah.
So that if you're wondering what we're talking about, it's
all over YouTube. You can go find it and just
you know, it's worth a chuckle. And then you got
this guy, Steve Enman, who puts up all these great

(16:40):
video surveillance videos of people getting robbed or getting shot
in self defense. But he's an m M A announcer,
and so he puts his announcements over this thing with
like crowd voises and fakes the slaps sound of you know,
real cheesy stuff. It's like when somebody's getting you know,

(17:01):
shot in self defense, they said, yes, you know, he
has been applied a dose of lettuce silling. It's pretty funny,
Steve Inman, I N M A N. It's pretty funny
stuff out there. So you know, a lot of stuff
all that to say, it's kind of funny, but it's

(17:23):
reminded of all of us just to be a little
bit more aware because there are more crimes this time
of year. None of this stuff is worth dying over.
It's not even worth shooting anybody over. And I will
say that. People say, well, he's got my stuff. Yeah,
I'm not shooting you over Christmas present. I'm just not
let them.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Let him take the purse, but have the gun in
your yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Yeah, yeah, just but I'm not doing that. But also
it's just man, and I'm you know me, I don't
live in an area where there are a lot of
people by design, and I'm down here in the middle
of big cities on this trip and going there's a
lot of road would rage out here. People have lost
their minds, different level of awareness, Yes, exactly right. So

(18:08):
what I tend to do is I'd like to swerve
a lot, and all the cars kind of stay away
from me when I do that.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
So it works out well, Well, the twitch really sells it.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yes, yes, So I have to finish with one story
that has nothing to do with that, But it's just
a road story that reminds me a woman I used
to work with. She told the story. She was going
down the road, this car ahead of her and it's
a nice summer day and this comes something comes flying
out of the window of the car in front of her,

(18:38):
and a few minutes later, something else comes flying out.
You realize it's a pizza of clothing. Just drive along.
There's another piece of clothing comes fault and coming out.
So she passes this car and there's a kid in
the back seat taking off all his clothes and throwing
them out the window. Can you imagine the parents.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
I don't want to go to school today.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
There he has no clothes.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
That's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Oh yeah, but think about it, ladies, because if somebody
throws you in a van to rape or kill you,
they're not gonna stop.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
So you can grab your purse. Yeah, yet want it
out to your body.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Yep, there you go. Well yet, you guys, have a
very safe Christmas and take it easy, have fun.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
And Michelle get healthy.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, Michelle had to take a break out. She's got
a bug, so they're chasing that. So you got to
get healthy so we can get you back in here. Yes,
we appreciate that. Here. In the meantime, check your six
always and Merry Christmas to everybody.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Merry Christmas, Christmas. We'll catch you next time for the
gun talk. After show,
