R party. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Yes, indeed,
I am Chris, he is VJ. We are live from
the Fox Sports Radio studios. And look, we could sit
here on the mic and talk about how complicated other
banks make it for you to redeem your credit card rewards,

(00:44):
or we could just talk about with Discover, you can
redeem your rewards for cash and any amount at any time.
I mean, folks is amazing. You can learn more Discover
dot com. Slash redeem rewards terms do apply. All right,
let's move over to the NBA. We've stayed there last segment.
Let's stay there one more time. Mike James. There's been

(01:09):
a couple of Mike james Is in the NBA, remember
the one, But both of them have actually been journeyman.
But there's a younger one who has been playing overseas
this season, played with the Nets last year with Kevin Durant,
Kyrie Irving. He's been on Phoenix, he's been in New Orleans,

(01:31):
and he's been on a podcast called Players Choice recently
and he talked about Steph Curry and his game and
it wasn't that favorable. Here's what Mike James had to
say about Steph, how he plays and how he gets
stuff off. Just it's just kind of one dimensional at times.
If we put Luca and b bron Kadie and Yanni

(01:55):
so any team in the world, they're gonna be whoever who,
They're gonna be who they are right there as soon
as you put him in. I just don't. I don't.
I don't know about that. For Steff, I think it's
it's a little flut Murky, for Stiff VJ Husky. Your thoughts, Uh, well,
who is this guy? Game? Like? Who like I like, say, Mike,
Mike Jay Not thebody who was Mike James that won

(02:17):
a championship with my Pistons. Oh no, no, no, no,
not that Okay, not that Jake. This is like an
international year league guy like And let me say this,
I would because it's it's tempting. It's tempting to be
like Bro, you a journey you barely a journeyman, and
you disson one of the greatest fighters in history a time, right,

(02:41):
all time now. But I'm gonna say this, Mike James,
just because he's not nearly as good as Steph just
because he's not really a full time NBA player, doesn't
mean he can't have an opinion and that he might
not be right, absolutely right, just like you and I,
Mike Jay could run circles around you and me on

(03:02):
our best day, right, and so he had a right
to his opinion. I know a lot of people gonna
this seem and it's interesting VJ. Because a lot of
people will dis the NBA player that really wasn't that good,
right when he talks about some of the all time
greats are some of the current greats, they'll dis that, dude.

(03:23):
But guys like us Stephen A. Skip, Heck, Shannon Sharp,
who was a Hall of Fame football player but not
basketball player, when we talk about players, they cool with it, right,
So I'm just keeping it real. Look, Mike James, I
ain't bad at you. I get where you were going
because we've all thought it. But I'm gonna say, my

(03:44):
man still gotta right to his opinion. And you know
it don't mean he might he might not know the
game upside down and inside out just because he's not
a great player. Yeah, listen, I'm with you. And first
of all, right, you know, I don't even know if
my ego, let me say, he'll run circles. I know,
but I still because I still got a big vanilla jumpy. Okay,

(04:07):
my jump is still but listen, my jump is still.
Butter you talk like that, and I know you're kind
of joking, but dude, you know people a lot of
cats be j don't understand them level. I know, I know,
he know he's he was he was a Nash. Yeah yeah, yeah,

(04:30):
but that's what they Yeah, that's what they do. Yeah,
they nasty. Now they get out on the NBA court
and they look like scrub exactly where you're playing against
the world, They against regular dude, they nash its levels.
To this man, he go ahead, Yeah, I just you know,
I'll go I'll go at it from this this angle.
This is just a disrespect that my man step just
continues to get like, you gotta be kidding me. It's

(04:52):
not about who said it. To be honest with you,
it just happened to be a guy. Anybody could say exactly,
it was more about okay, who I'm not trying to
be who Okay, Mike Jade, you gotta go look him up. Okay.
But if somebody else in the league and said this,
we would still have the same reaction. It's like, exactly,
we will look at them like, bro, are you serious?
This is the greatest shooter we've ever seen. This man

(05:13):
is an awesome leader, like he will take he's shown
he's willing to take a step back to let somebody
else leading shy and like he's he doesn't get the
married no awesome leadership. And then this year to watch
that emotion pour out of him and watch that moment
like Jordan when he cried shock, when he cried when
Kobe won his first without shock, when Lebron got his first.

(05:34):
Whether you like the player or not, you appreciate just
that moment as a sports fan. So this is just
the disrespect step just continues to get and I'm just
trying to figure out why, Like, what else does he
have to do to have everybody just say okay, guys,
no more step slander Okay, we get radio, we get TV,
we get debate shows. Yeah, but just just to get
on the podcast and be like, yeah, this dude, the
guy with about Pat Mahomes. Well, if you take away

(05:56):
option one, it's street ball. Huh right, dog, that's how
he busting y'all? What are you talking about? Right? You
absolutely right? And I'm gonna put this out there, and
I'm not gonna put this on Kevin Durant. Okay, but
is it possible because they boys the boy? Yes? Is
it possible that? I mean, I look, we know how

(06:18):
much Durant loves ball, and as much as Durant might
not like people critiquing him and other players on TV,
he'd be doing it, ye, critiquing cats. So is it possible,
Mike James, I might have heard this from k D.
I it is possible, right, yeah, yeah, anything, anything is possible.

(06:38):
But I don't like dealing in possibilities. I like dealing
in probabilities because probabilities are more concrete. The probability of
him hearing this from k D is very low. In
my hope, It's very very o. KD didn't go there. Yeah,
what the thing is this? So that would be hating
you it would be. But but and I'm a KD guy.
Everybody know, I watched him in I saw when you're sixteen,

(07:00):
played for Montrose Christian and Landover Maryland. Like, I'm a
big KD guy, but he is kind of I don't
want to weird, he's prickly, right. K D's kind of
a different dude, right, so you you never know what
type of night he might have been called on, or
what type of day it was, and how he was
feeling and set something kind of tongue in cheek, not
really knowing or not really but just kind of like, yeah, man,

(07:23):
you know, you know, you know the kind of the
way he'd do it. And then somebody will take a
piece of that and then go, you know, yeah, I
agree with you many if he if he didn't play
with them and come off all them screens, he wouldn't
be that good. But it's the offense, guys, like seriously,
stop saying that. Well, it's the offense and it's them
to win. Is the fact that they played five man basketball.

(07:43):
Most of these dudes, most of the great point guards
in the league either could not or would not play
that way. Kyrie Irvan ain't about to run off screens
like that because he wanted to show off his handle. Ye,
Damian Lillard ain't about to do all that. I mean,
most trade young like most of these cats won't do that.
And here's and and look, I got to say this

(08:06):
about Mike James's take. I think it was so flat
out wrong. I mean, have you watched Steph Curry outside
of the last several years. Did you watch Steph Curry?
Early in his career, Steph Curry played point guard like

(08:27):
most guys, played point guard, high, pick and roll ball
in his hands when Mark Jackson was the coach, and
Steph averaged his career high and assists that those years
twenty four points eight and a half dimes a game
in twenty thirteen fourteen, the year before Steve Kurr took over.

(08:48):
Year before that, twenty three point seven assists. Kyrie's never
averaged that many assists. Nope. And so if you put
Steph in your typical NBA offense, oh, he would get his.
He would put up big points, he would put up
more assist than he does now. It ain't that Steph

(09:09):
cain't run the offense. Now that this is where and
I got I'm disappointed in Mike James because I'm gonna
give him the benefit of the doubt, of the doubt
that he's a student of the game. But when you
say an acidine comment like that, as if Steph is
Reggie Miller, not to this Reggie Miller. We know he
was great too, but Reggie wasn't about to run point

(09:31):
like Steph at all. Reggie couldn't pass like Sei. That's
the other thing, Steph Curry don't get it twisted, y'all.
Steph Curry doesn't show off his passing skills because of
the offense. Is VJ said. The offense is in Draymond
Greene's hands a lot the ball. But Bobby Knight, the
great legendary Bobby Knight, when Steph came out of college

(09:55):
and was entering the draft, Bobby Knight said, this is
gonna be one of the best pastors in be A history,
which I always thought was crazy a lot of people,
but he said it. And if you watch Steph, he
can pass like I mean, he's a very good passer,
but the offense doesn't call for that. And here's the
other thing, VJ. If you want, I mean, this is

(10:17):
just one example, but if you watch this year's finals.
Steph wasn't just running off screens. Steph was getting it
at the top of the key, working the handle, shaking
cats and killing them, whether it was going to the
whole and finishing or shaking them up, creating space and

(10:39):
hitting a jumper. Like I'm serious, I'm serious, VJA. I'm
not gonna dis Mike James because he's not that good
of a player by NBA standards, but that take is horrendous. Yeah,
not only is his horrendous. You can't luck your way
into a ninety fifty forty season, which which have only
been done what three or four other times? The bird
has won one? Who's National's got Tyree got one? Does

(11:04):
Kyree have a ninety? Okay, I thought Nash had two
if I'm not sure I think that. But for four
guys five times in the history of the game, you
don't luck your way into two scoring titles like you.
That doesn't that's not the system, that's you. Like, that's
how nasty. Yeah, that's how nasty you are. You And
you brought up the finals split in double teams and

(11:24):
whether it was like you said, whether it was the floaters,
whether it was the finger roll, number one way J
locked up Mike James's boy. Yeah, let's forget that. K
D up twenty A game, which led to the Barkley
bus driver comment because Barkley said, I ain't never when
he said, when I was the bus driver and no

(11:44):
team ever hold me to twenty in the playoffs here,
and I wouldn't looked it up. And he's right. I
went and looked it up. I wasna. Yes, I say,
have anybody checked that? Yes? I did, No, no, no,
I looked it up. I got the notes in my
path that's in front of me right now. I looked
that up. But yeah, he was right about that. But yeah, Steph,
just you're talking about I don't know where he rings.
I hate lists. I honestly, I'm starting to get tired

(12:05):
of them. But okay, top fifteen. I would say top
fifteen because he's not done playing at the least out question. Yes, okay,
so of all time, you don't get that high man,
you know systematically or you know luck. It's just that's
just like you said. It's more the comment as opposed
to his career or what happening. I'm a comedian, so

(12:26):
I'm a clown all day long. Like leoh, bro like
who like who? All right, I had to look you up.
But yeah, anybody said this, Yeah, anybody said this, This
would have been and I don't think a lot of
players would have made it because it's just don't make sense. Yeah,
you would look like a ham if you're a current
player to say this year, you look like a nasty hat. Yeah, yeah,
he can stay overseas. What takes like that? Real talk,

(12:49):
And Kyrie did do it in twenty twenty, twenty twenty one. Okay,
ninety two from the free throw line, fifty from the field,
forty from three. Yeah, all right, that's why he's right. Yeah, yeah,
Well Kyrie is a bad boy. Ain't no question about
my guy, all right. Tyreek Hill has been talking big

(13:10):
gang about two a tongue of viola, but Ken this
quarterback live up to the height. Will get into that. Next,
it's The I Couple VJ. Huskin for Rob Parker. I'm
Chris Bruce Arry. Keep it locked. Be sure to catch

(13:55):
where real conversations happen. Listen to the Rights or Wrong
podcasts on the iHeartRadio, a Apple podcast, or wherever you

Chris Bruce or VJ. Huskin for rob parking. If you're
dealing with a dead battery, you know what to do.
Head on over the Auto Zone. It's America's number one

(14:16):
battery destination. They offer free battery services like free battery
testing and charging. So next time you're having battery trouble,
go to the zone. All those zone your battery solution
and the number one battery destination in these United States
of America. All right. VJ. Tyreek Hill of course made

(14:38):
his way from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins,
and he has been running it off at the mouth.
You think he runs fast on the field, he runs
his mouth pretty fast too. And he has been speaking
talking to up and he's been saying they gonna be

(15:02):
he and him and Jalen Willow, which is a great
receiving due no doubt they're gonna be open. They're gonna
be like waffle shot open twenty four second. So let
me ask you this. He's putting the lava. I don't
want to say pressure because the pressure is on to it. Anyway.
Do you think ta can live up to the high

(15:23):
expectations that Tyreek Hill is creating for him? Oh? First
of all, I don't think Trek Hill is creating anything
higher than what's already expected out of him. Remember this
is a guy that people were taking for There was
a take for to a campaign just three years ago.
So I don't think this is like decades. Yeah see,
but it wasn't though it was only three wasn't that

(15:45):
That's seven more years, bro, That's not closed tank for
a lot of other clowns. I actually liked to I
was about to say, hold up, I watch I watch
a little First things first, Okay, I saw exactly. I
saw what you said about him, and I saw it
on Twitter. I have always been on the fence up
until Miami. Actually got a system man, got some players

(16:07):
around him, and actually went and tried to put an
offense around him to help him, which every quarterback needs.
And then, especially through training camp and having connections down
there and speaking to people on a daily basis about
the Dolphins, I'm gonna I'm gonna buy in this season
for him because once again, you didn't just make a
move to get to Wreak Hill. You made a move
to get the NFL's most dangerous weapon that also is

(16:31):
gonna line up opposite or next two or whatever with
one of the young dangerous weapons in the NFL and
Jalen Waddle, and you bring in two fast running backs,
and you bring in Cedric Wilson, You go get Armstead
of left tackle, you get Connor at center, and you
still have Smithe and Gazicki at the tight end position.
There's weapons galore. So I'm all in because the hip

(16:53):
is so important when you have to throw a football
your torque and a poor offensive line and a recovering
hip and DeVante Parker as your best offensive weapon. No
line thirties first ranked by Pro Football Focus, which everybody
likes to follow. No running game. Yeah, it was gonna
be tough. I think this year second, I think, yeah,
well thirty one one year, thirty second the next year,

(17:14):
so yeah, thirty and thirty, thirty one and thirty two.
But yeah, I'm sold in, man, because when you're healthy,
when guys get hurt, we kind of forget how great
they are in sports, don't we do that, Chris? We
kind of forget how great guys are coming off of
an injury, or how great they were before they got hurt.
And before he got hurt, man, people were taking for
him and saying he was gonna be the number one

(17:34):
overall guy. I'm buying all in. And Terka's doing what
he's supposed to do. You supposed to the chant up
your quarterback. You're supposed to be his last face because
he sees all the writing. I watched his podcast and
I listen to it. He sees it all. Him and
Jaylen Waddle sat there on his podcast and said, yeah, man,
we have to kind of keep quiet, but we see
it all. We watch, We hear everybody on TV. He

(17:55):
can't throw dep he can't do this, he can't. They're
speaking for him because they know that's not his flavor.
So you need a homeboy to ride for you because
you're not gonna be that guy. And if he ever
does it, the media is gonna spind it a Look,
he can't take it. Look he's soft. He Look, dude,
you're saying everything negative about him every day. For the
first three years. He had to fight Fitzpatrick, he had
to fight the Watson deal, and he had to fight

(18:17):
them trying to go get Tom Brady. And it's only
his third year. Well, I tend to agree, and look,
I don't know what he's gonna become. I like him.
I think he's obviously accurate. Yes, I think, yeah, he
don't have the strongest arm in the league, but he's
got a strong enough arm. You don't have to have
the strongest arm in the league to be an effective quarterback.

(18:38):
To your point, he has weapons, glow lore And I
actually think Mike McDaniel is gonna do a good job.
You know, five years under Kyle Shanahan seems like an
incredibly smart guy. So I think he's gonna, you know,
put to it in great positions. As you said, they

(18:58):
not only have weapons on the outside, gisicky. The offensive
line is improved. They got a nice core of running backs.
The defense is like top notch. Yeah, they gonna they
should be that. If he can't do it this year, VJ,
then people were wrong about him most likely. I mean
I'll never you know, it still would only be his

(19:20):
third year. You might not want to completely write him off.
But if he doesn't play well, I'm not saying he
has to be an MVP conversation. Okay, if he don't
play well this year with all that, a coach that
believes in him, because that's another thing Flores for as
great a coach as he was, and he was really good,

(19:42):
he didn't believe the report, so that he didn't believe
into it all right, and that and obviously he was
benching him at times. For Ryan Fitzpatrick, when you know,
Tua is the future and you gotta figure out what
this dude can do. And so I think that will
be huge too, that knowing he has a coach who
believes in him, and you're right, Look, to some guys,

(20:02):
not everybody, necessarily, to some athletes, you need your teammates,
big up, big up in you. You need like your
teammates talking about you the greatest thing since sliced bread,
and you know, building up your own confidence and all that,
and so I'm with you. I actually think that I

(20:25):
think the Dolphins are the second best team in that
AFC East. That's not saying a ton, I don't think,
but I think they have a really good chance to
make the playoffs. And I do expect to it to
have a strong year. I really do. Look the fact
that he went with all the things we just said,
horrible offensive line, not a ton of weapons, an offensive coach,

(20:47):
a coach that don't believe in you, and like you said,
coming off the injury. And he still has one thirteen
of twenty one games. But the team that's just not
that good. Yeah, and not not only that, a couple
of things. Tarika is all so saying this too, because Terek,
if he's so great, right, you just gotta get him
the ball. And what does he keeps talking about too?
It you just use the word yourself. His accuracy. They

(21:10):
ain't worried about a strong arm. Mike mcdale said it
on NFL Network. We're gonna yak you to death. Good
luck catching our guys. If you don't get a hold
of them, good luck when they get vertical. It's done.
It's a rap. This is this is this is a
greater show on Turf. Again, this is Ozaiera, Keiman Hope
and Isaac Ruce speed wise not their level of Hall

(21:30):
of Famer records. Isaac Bruce and Tory older Wolf hall
of Famer, not that level yet. But you talk about
just get him the ball, be like, oh, yeah, he's
a Hall of Famer. Yeah he'll be a Hall of Famer.
But so that's why you say that, because he knows.
Listen when they if he just gets us the ball,
trust me, y'all in trouble. If he just gets us
the football, y'all in trouble. But also your comment on
if he doesn't do well, then he's not that guy.

(21:53):
The only reason why I fight back against that, Chris,
is because I'm looking at guys like Mitch Trubisky thirteen,
still giving a chance, Sam Darnald who's horrible, still giving
a chance. But they aren't. We we we we kind
of come to the conclusion that they're not those guys
I know exactly, but they're still getting an opportunity. People
are talking about writing tool off after twenty three starts.

(22:15):
People are talking about writing his man off the tenty
three I am going into getting much written Darnald off.
They're giving him a shot. I think they were doing
the right thing in Carolina to give him a shot.
Not Baker Mayfield is about to win that position. I
get it though, but trust me, I've heard other rumblings
that know, there are people who really think, oh no,
this is a quarterback competition. I agree with you, Bakers.
I think it is a quarterback competition because it shouldn't be.

(22:37):
It should not shouldn't be. Baker's not done. Hold On,
Baker's not done enough to just walk into a place.
You know that guy, but you know he's hold on,
hold On, Baker's not done enough. And Darnald, as bad
as he's been, was with the freaking Jets, all right,
they had nothing there. And then last year, remember and

(23:00):
Christian McCaffrey was healthy. Darnald looked right. Now. I'm with you.
I think Baker's better. Don't get me wrong. I think
he's gonna win this competition. And Baker like because Darnald,
if he can, if he can, be as good as Baker.
The difference is Darnald is too reckless and he gonna

(23:21):
throw more interceptions, you know what I'm saying. Then Baker's
gonna make more stupid plays. But he was three and old.
Last year when McCaffrey was healthy. You know, early in
the season was averaging almost three hundred yards a game
and in the first four games through for three hundred
plus three straight times. Baker's never done that. So I'm
just saying I think that Matt Rule and company is

(23:43):
correct to have Baker come in and win the job.
And I think he will win it. But you couldn't
have Darnald out playing him. And you're just giving Baker
the job because then you it ruins in front of
the rest of the team. I agree with you, but
I think we all know and understand it. Darnald. Darnald's
not gonna go and outplay him. Everybody knows. I don't
think everybody understands, but I could feel that, Yeah, I

(24:07):
feel like that. A lot of people, as you said,
a lot of people that think that Darnald. I've heard
a lot of people, especially down in Caroline exactly, they
thought Darnald was gonna do it all right, but look,
we gonna we got plenty more to get to. The
Lakers and Lebron have talked extension. I don't know. I've
listened to VJA Husk talking about Lebron for years. I'm

(24:27):
not sure he thinks the Lakers should give Lebron an extension.
We'll get to that next. Fox Sports Radio has the
best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of
our shows at Fox sports Radio dot com and within
the iHeart Radio app. Search f SR to listen live.
All right, thank you, Steve. We're live from the Fox
Sports Radio studios. VJA Husky in for Rod Parker. You

(24:50):
heard it, VJA, Lakers and Lebron. Lebron became eligible to
sign a two year, ninety seven point one million dollars
extension yesterday. He's still got to June thirtieth to sign it.
I think he should take his sweet time. But they
met yesterday, talks described as productive. But and I just

(25:11):
threw that out there. I don't know that you think
the Lakers shouldn't offer Lebron the extension. He's locked up
obviously for this year. But where are you on that?
Because obviously Lebron will be thirty eight. Yeah, and um,
you know, he was very good individually this year, but
obviously the team wasn't very good. Do you think that
they should just automatically offer him the extension and lock

(25:33):
him up for the next three years. No, No, I
wouldn't because I don't think. I don't I don't think,
And this is just not a dick I'm trying to
I'm looking at Lebron. He's one of the if not
the most methodical and calculated super megastars we've ever seen
in sports. That he doesn't do things by chance. He
doesn't do things that the seated by the seat of
his pants. It is calculated. And I don't know if

(25:54):
he's gonna want to be here for the next three years.
That would put him at forty one years old, and
I just don't see that happening because then he's gonna
want his son to play, and then there's another power
struggle there in another power If I'm if I'm the
Lakers front office, I don't just offer it to him.
I do what he has done. Well, let's see how
this year goes. Let's play this year out. We haven't

(26:15):
been able to move rush yet. A d you did
posted a video ad supposed to be on the whole
new workout and old new diet this offseason and gonna
be healthy, and you know we got these young player.
We didn't do the old guy thing, okay, because that
got a criticism. So now we did the young guy thing.
We did the kind of budding star, a budding good player,
and we did the young guy things. So let's see
how this year plays out, Braun. And he could actually

(26:36):
if he if he's about the brand, he'll sign it,
of course. But you say he's got to June third. Yeah,
he got so much. Exactly he's a billionaire. But he
also did take I know that, but that's why he
also now A critical thing I will say was and
I said when it happened when him and a d
both took their their extensions, what was it two years
ago or a year or two years ago? I thought, wow,
you're a billionaire, dude, and you're gonna need help there

(26:57):
with the Lakers. But if you want to take that,
wasn't night he six million nine extension, Una d all right,
go ahead, knock get it, knock yourself out, get your bread.
I ain't mad at you, but now we're in this
decision where we are now that if he signs the extension,
it takes up so that money, I do know, Russ
comes off. But they got a lot of money. Yeah,
they russ Comes, Russell come off the books. But then
you're gonna convince a young starter to come play with

(27:19):
the thirty nine year old Lebron James and be his
blame game when things if things don't go right, which
is which has happened. So if I'm Lebron in them,
I would just if I'm the Lakers out wait, I
do what he does. He waits. He he goes year
to year, so you'll go year to year. Yeah. What
I do know is Lebron does want to be in LA. Okay,
I'm not saying he won't. I think it wants to
be in LA but in a Laker uniform, you know. Yeah, yeah,

(27:42):
he wants to play. No, he wants to play with
the Lakers though, Okay, all right, he'd be here. He
don't see himself as a Clipper. He wants Yeah, he
wants to play with the Lakers in LA. Um. Would
he be willing to shift that up to play with
his son? Yeah? Probably that, but but for that's not

(28:02):
right now, that's not an issue. And Lebron loves LA
being there. Sure, he wants to win, but he's not
really looking to uproot his family and move and go
somewhere else right now. So I think he wants to
go to Lakers. Whatever leverage he may have with them,
he keeps that leverage by not signing. But and I

(28:24):
do think the Lakers, you know, will offer him the extension.
And I'll say, should do I think they go win
a championship. No, but that's fine, they should offer him one.
But I hear what you're saying, because you know, if
if Lebron wants to play games with them, they could
play that back. I mean if they say, you know,

(28:47):
if they show a little question about side did him,
it'd be interesting to see how Lebron handled that. They
might drive him to go out there and ball even
harder or better, you know. But um, I think that
the interesting thing about you know, he's brought up playing
with Brinnie, and I think you follow the high school game. Yes,

(29:08):
we talked the other day. Bronie's ranked forty seventh in
his class, so he's not really on a one and
done trajectory. Yeah. Um. And I don't think Lebron should
rush Bronnie into the league like I think if he's
a three year college guy before he's ready to going
to the NBA. That's so be it. Never, I think
you should let him play that never never what never?
He's not. I got Bronnie going to the G League.

(29:30):
I don't got Bronie going to college. Okay, but if
you go, that's fine. If he goes to the G League,
that don't mean he's gonna be ready after that one year.
Well that's why Lebron's trying to become an owner, so
he can just bring his son along. He's calculating with
his son and true, hey, hey, true you, but I
don't want to own the team that Jackie Moon, although
that might be second Jackie Moon. Baby, you can't old

(29:52):
you can't. Is that a real rule? Not nothing? I mean,
you're okay. I never knew that when Jordan went to
Washington he had to give up, right he did to
come back and play you right, So but I um,
you know, and it's not really playing the game. It's
just so let's let's let's let's go with this hypothetical.
They do the extension, right, and things don't work out.

(30:13):
Now he's forty and the Lakers say, well, look, we
gave you an extension. We didn't land another free agent.
Because people say, people don't want to come work for
with Jennie and the rambas isn't all that the front
office isn't really together together like when her dad was
running it and now Bron's at forty Now all right,
trade me, then trade me. I don't want to be
here and I don't want Then it just oh, you
signed the extension and now because they don't do this well,

(30:35):
so it would in the third year he would possibly
more so think about Chris possibly next year. What if
a d I don't see that has a quad or
hands again, think I don't think a bad Lakers season
is gonna leave Lebron. Ask really see there's a there's
a big part of Lebron now. He wants to win.
I mean we I think we clearly see that. But

(30:57):
he also is like I think he's pasted Chase and rings.
I see I And that's the thing I don't because
I mean, I know it's from talking to people close.
I feel you, But we also can I think we
both can agree that he really does care about his legacy.
He knows for is it. He ain't ain't getting at
ain't going down And guess what, I agree with you,

(31:18):
But that doesn't mean he doesn't feel that way. I
agree with you, and I'm not a Lebron guy. His
let me see, he thinks he's already the go exactly. Well,
we always know though, if you have to keep telling us,
are you trying to convince us? Are you trying to
convince yourself? Because you don't have to keep telling us
he's done it three times. Some dude Ali told us,
Yeah that I know, but that was come on out

(31:41):
you exactly and that. But that's boxing. That's a one
man game. We talked about this on shows before. I
get what you're saying, and that's what I'm not gonna
fight against it. I get what you're saying, but we
do know when it's a team athlete thing, a team
a team sport thing, and there's the one guy that
I'm the greatest, I'm gon. We've always kind of, you know,
people the side Lebron. If he were to go to

(32:04):
a stack team and win a fifth or sixth ring,
that ain't he'd get the credit. That's not making people.
He'd get credit, not credit enough credit to pass Jordan man.
That's what I'm saying. Like Jordan was the actual kingpin
on all six of his championships. If Lebron was to
go to Saint Golden State and get a ring, I

(32:26):
mean now, later on the young Cats might say, well,
he got five or six rings and he got all
the records for longevity. But nobody now is gonna say, oh,
he got five or six rings, so he's better than Jordan.
If he's not the driving force, you know what I mean,
and if it's a stacked deck, but um, it's It'll

(32:49):
be interesting to see how this thing goes with Lebron
and the Lakers. All right, Deshaun Watson could be sidelined
the entire season for all we note, and the Browns
could still make the playoffs. I'll tell you how. Next couple,
Chris Bruce, ore vj Husky keep it locked. Fox Sports Radio.

(33:56):
entire season, do you think the Cleveland Browns will have
the most room in the league should go out and
trade for Jimmy Garoppolo if he's suspended for the whole year.
I like that idea because I've seen Jacoby Purcette up
close and personal, like start for my football team on

(34:16):
Sundays in September October. It's not it's it's yeah, I'm
gonna just leave it there. I've seen it. You drafted Jacoby,
I've seen it. No, no, no, no, no no. He
he started for the Dog Yeah no, he started against it.
And it's just there. There's times and I'm just I'm
just being an analyst, man. There's times I watching I'm
just like, how is he even the second guy? Like,
how is there not saying I actually think he's a

(34:37):
good back? No? Why good? Better back up? I mean
for a backup? No no, no, no, no, no, no,
not for a backup about the Yas. Like I said,
I watched him, you know, I watched him up close
and personal, snap for snap for snap, not just highlight,
not just pieces of game. Because when you're starting for
your team, he's not watching the starter watching it again. Start. Yeah,
but he's gonna be. He would be, but he would

(35:00):
be if the Sean was gonna be suspended. So to
answer your question, you most definitely go get Jimmy, Jimmy Joe.
I don't understand they hate that this guy gets all
he does. All he does is when all he did
in the postseason last year was go into Dallas, go
into Lambo and in an NFC championship game, he's up
tending the fourth quarter. His defense forgot to cover a

(35:21):
guy named Cooper Cup who Matthew Safford. He just threw
it to you the rest of the game, which is
what he did, right, And you couldn't cover that. And
I mean, look, and I was pulling for Kansas City.
I'm glad they came back and won. And granted he
didn't move the ball late, but the defense, I mean,
they were up, yeah, they were up with nine minutes left,
they had it, and so I'm with you. Look, I'm

(35:42):
not saying and I don't think you are, either that
Jimmy G is all pro No, or that Jimmy G
is heading to the Hall of Fame. No. No. But
the proof is in the pudding. And I like Kyle Shannon.
I think he's good coach. People think he's a genius. Well,
he's eight and twenty eight as a head coach without

(36:03):
Jimmy Garoppolo and that same team, remember they were one
in ten with Shanahan when Jimmy G got there and
promptly won five straight games. The two years he's been healthy,
now that's his He got other issues, not you know,
like we said, not the greatest quarterback in the world.
But his biggest problem is he can't stay healthy. But

(36:27):
the two years that he has been healthy, he's gone
to the NFC Championship Game both times. So I'm with you.
And and look, the Browns it's great, you know, I mean,
they got Deshaun Watson for the future and he you know,
we assume he'll still be a great quarterback when he
comes back. But this team is built to win. Now.

(36:50):
You don't want to waste the season with Chub and
Hunt and that great offensive line and you know, an
adequate receiving corps, nice defense, like they are really good.
Do damage now. And so I agree with you. I
would go out and get Jimmy. You go get them
for one year and you just say, hey, listen, this

(37:10):
is what we're doing this year. We know you can
lead us. So come on and lead us and get
some dubs. You know, we may we may be able
to make a little noise in this in this division
with the Ravens and and the Steelers. We don't know
where the Steelers are gonna be or the Bengal is
gonna have a Super Bowl hangover. There was a stat
I did find that the last I think six Super
Bowl losers kind of fall off, like six of the

(37:30):
last seven. And yeah, they just they don't even make
the playoffs the next year. And so you know they
could be an outlier and be different. But there's still
the Bengals. You are not old enough to remember. You're
just still the Bangals, like the Lions are the Royals.
In baseball, you're the Jags. You're You're still that team,
even though you had a good year here and there.
I think it would be a great move you do
it to stay competitive because you just don't want to

(37:52):
fold this year. That's how you get guys hurt. That's
how you get guys hurt. Kareem Hunt is the backup,
uh start running back. Football Focus has their offensive line
rate number three right now. I believe it is. You
know they can run the football, the defense. Miles Garrett
coming off the corner, Jimmy g to Aaron Rodgers. No,
especially that division, Like that's that's black and blue, right,

(38:14):
that's each of wheaties. You better have a double protein
shake and have one of Alex the vegans little drinks.
He's making the big wind. Yeah. No, I'm telling you
you taste like but but but they I have not
had one, but I'm gonna have in his drinks you
better have like yo, listen, man, those fan has made
a great transformation. I give mis props. I reect that
I love Alex. But those those shakes, man. But the

(38:38):
first time I had when I was excited, like, oh,
he't tasted like you gained five days back of life CV.
He tasted like carpet. All right, it's the couple. Keep
it like we got an hour left life in the cup.
