Speaker 4 (01:30):
Before we move forward, I came in with a heavy
heart today my former radio partner Mike Stone, who I
did the show The Odd Couple on the local version
in Detroit back in nineteen ninety four when we started
the first all sports station in Detroit. And the guy
who sang the song for us the Odd Couple or
did the open was a guy named Don Swindell who

(01:52):
died suddenly at age seventy. He was basically the creative
director and former imaging guy for CBS Radio and Detroit
musician in his own right, played all the instruments.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
Was just the greatest guy. And Chris, it wasn't that
long ago.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
That he would send me messages on Facebook and talk
about how much he enjoys this show and always had
kind words to say. But he was just a really
great guy, a creative guy, a great musician who loved
music but also loved sports talk radio. So Don Swindell,

(02:33):
people in Detroit know that voice, They've heard it for
forty years, and his music and his voiceovers and his creativity.
But he is gone at age seventy suddenly and a
family left behind, not that I know of Chris. He
was a musician, late night gigs, you know, one of

(02:55):
those guys just I think, yeah, not married a musician,
but a but a great guy. I've never never seen
this guy in a bad mood or anything. He was
fantastic and we lost him. So I just wanted to definitely,
may rest in peace. May he rest in peace, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Don Swindell, all right, Rob, we we brought this up.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
We kind of broached it a bit early. We're talking
about the MVP conversations. That is one of the hottest
topics in the NFL right now. And it's interesting because
the two front runners robed so so we talked about
Dak Prescott and Dak Prescott robbed this.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
You probably know this, but it is.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Surprising that if Dak Prescott rob were to win the MVP,
he would be the first Dallas Cowboys quarterback ever to
win the MVP. Does that surprise you? No?

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Because when I guess, I say no. Now, because when
you look at the numbers of like Roger Starbach and
some of those guys they weren't that great.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
And then well but then that.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Time, Starbucks numbers were good for that time, right, But
I'm just saying, and then I look at all the
quarterbacks that they've had over the years, right, Danny wall
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Who should have won a super who should have wanted that?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
You know, you're right. When I first saw it, I
was like, wait a minute.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I had to double check it because I was like, no,
I thought Starback would have won one, because Starbach was
the best quarterback of the seventies unless I'm missing somebody,
you know. I mean it was a six time Pro bowler,
obviously won you know, some Super two Super Bowls, but

(04:49):
he was, you know, he was a great quarterback. Uh
and generally individually he was regarded as better than Terry Bradshaw.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
But Brashaw, of course won the four or Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
So then you go, the second best one in their
history robe would be Troy Aikman, but his numbers aren't spectacular.
They were a mostly running team and in fact, the
only other the only Cowboy to this date to win
the m v P is them, Miss Smith.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
So I just you're right, if you think about it,
outside of Starback.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
There really is nobody, right Danny.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
I mean it probably goes if you take Dak out,
it probably goes Starbuck, Aikman, Romo, Danny White.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Ante Morton, And who's the other quarterback? Who was with
Bill Parcell? The brother He didn't play that that long?

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Oh Quincy.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Yeah, I'm just saying, but I'm trying to give you.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
The quarterback, right, I think Dak. I would put he's
ahead of Romo. Now, Rob, would you agree with that?
I would say it's Starbox eight men, Dak and then
Romo their top four. I mean, obviously, if he wins
the MVP, you probably gotta put him in here.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Yeah, I definitely. I think it would be definite. It
just depends on like how the season ends, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Like, yeah, they go out in the first game, you know,
first playoff. Remember him and Romo are pretty close, right,
and the.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Last two years and I don't know what the scores are,
you have to look him up, but the offense was
awful in both of those games.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, they haven't gotten blown out, but bad off nineteen
to twelve I believe might have been last year's score.
But yeah, the offense has has not been The games
have ended almost commonly, right, you know with the offense screen.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
What happened did in the quarterback? Didn't the running back up?

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Ezekiel Elliott was the center or last year? Right, remember
that play?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
So we talked about Dak but yeah, a little surprised
and he'd be there only their second MVP ever in
the first quarterback. But Rob so so DA's an interesting
MVP candidate and Brock party Rob obviously.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
I mean mister irrelevant.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I'm gonna go out on the limb and say, be
the first mister irrelevant to be the MVP. Although I
mean being mister irrelevant Rob is better than not being
drafted at all, which is Kurt.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Not the story that everybody keeps talking about, that mister irrelevant.
But I think I think Kirk Warner story is even bigger.
They wouldn't even he wouldn't even draft. Working in the
SuperM he was bagging groceries, Like what, why isn't the
Kirk Waner story, Like, I get that's bigger there, that's bigger, Chris.

(07:40):
He wasn't even considered by anybody. He played a retal
football playing in Northern Iowa. Yeah, I mean, come on,
that guy with that guy you wonder about coming off
the street, Kirk off the street.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I agree with you on that one.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
But but obviously, you know, being mister irrelevant and winning
an MVP or being the second odds high odds at.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
This point is huge. So they're interesting.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
And as we talked about earlier, Christian McCaffrey is having
a tremendous year right now, he's the best running back
in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
And he is you know, he's not high in the odds,
he's in the top ten.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
But the question is does he take away from Rock
Purdy or vice versa? Will they cancel each other out?
And Kyle Shanahan, the coach of the Niners, was asked
about those two having two NFL MVP candidates.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
That's the only reason I want it overly comment on
either one of them because I don't want them to
cancel each other out.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
But if any non quarterback is going to.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
Get an MVP, I don't get how Christian McCaffrey can.
I mean, he's amazing and what he's done all year.
If it's going to a quarterback, then I don't have
to talk about Christian. I can talk about our quarterback.
And I'm still as if his numbers that's all you see,
then I think that solves it up. But if you
watch the film then it makes it even stronger, which
to me is the most important thing.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, Rob, look and I think you will probably talk
about them potentially canceling each other out, which is a
great chance of that happening. But I would say this,
I think Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
On the field, I'm speaking on the field.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
He's helps brock Purty Party's MVPKS because he's a great
player and that enables Purdy to do certain things. I
don't know what brock Purty's numbers would be like without
Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I can't, I'm not.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I can't say they wouldn't be great. But certainly having
a running back like him helps you. But I gotta
say this too, Rob. Here's the thing, and I you know,
obviously you hope Rob, the voters take it as seriously
as you and I do.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
You vote for Baseball Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I vote for NBA Postseason Awards and take them seriously,
and you do your And here's the thing about McCaffrey that.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
If voters really research it might not. It might lead
to him not.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Getting certain votes that might otherwise that might end up
going to party.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Usually win a nine. For a nine.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Quarterback to win the award, they have to do something
pretty historic, all right, last nine quarterback to win it,
of course. Adrian Peterson twenty twelve, so we're talking eleven
years ago, but he ran for over two thousand yards, right,
that's his stork. Christian McCaffrey, while he leads the league

(10:39):
in Russian is having a great year. He's only averaging
ninety yards a game Russian, so we're not even averaging
one hundred yards. I mean, the tons of guys have
averaged one hundred yards in a season or certainly more
than ninety. And then he's not on pace to have
like a thousand yards receiving either. He's gonna be He's

(11:00):
already well over one thousand yards rushing. He's at eleven
seventy seven, leads the league, but he's not on pace.
He doesn't even have five hundred yards receiving, so he's
not gonna hit like you know, the thousand thousand things
you remember Marshall fought.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
You mentioned Kurt Warner.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Marshall fought that year, rush for over thirteen hundred yards,
caught passes for over one thousand yards, and that was tremendous.
But yet Kurt Warner still won the award. So that's
the only thing I would say. I think McCaffrey's great.
I think he's having a phenomenal season, but he's not
doing anything that's, like you know, historically, gonna rank high

(11:42):
in the history books to make you say, like Tyreek Hill.
I mean, if Tyreek gets two thousand, particularly in sixteen games,
then I think he's gonna get some votes. So that's
the one thing I would say why McCaffrey might not
take away from perty.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
See I disagree, and their coach just put it out
there by him even mentioning he was asked though about both,
but but but he could have just said, you know,
like to when you mention those two, you're given validity.
If you didn't want to get into that, you could say,

(12:17):
I don't vote for all for the MVP. They have
both having great seasons or whatever. But I think once
you start talking about them, and then the people in
San Francisco and the people who watch all the time,
and the the the bumping the road with Rock Purty
in those three games, and I don't remember it was
McCaffrey heard a little bit in one of or two
he was back, Yeah, wasn't that great on those games.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
I'm just saying, and that's where he had the struggles.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
People can read into it all they want, and I
just think it's not like it would be like a
landslide of votes Chris, but enough votes to come away
from Rock Purty. If you get a couple, you know,
to vote, McCaffrey could be the difference in it. And
I really think that there will be some votes. It's

(13:04):
still be some people who are skeptical of Rock Party
despite the numbers. You know, if you just if you
just didn't put as a name attached and look at
the numbers, then you have different kind of voting.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
But I don't think voting goes that way.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
If you just if you just v was a third
round pick, he might be running away.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Like, if you don't if you don't have a name
attached and you just hear the numbers here the guys
are up for MVP and you don't know who's who,
it'd be totally different.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
As soon as you say who's.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Who, what games they played in, what kind of the
supporting cast they have, what was the schedule, you know
what I mean? And you add those things in it,
then I think it's different. I do think if Dad
continues to play, I think he's gonna win. I just
think because there's going to be some votes taken away

(13:54):
from brock Purty.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah, and and like you said, some people may hold
it against him.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Where it was drafted. It Dak is a we talk
about narrative.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Sometimes, and obviously Perty has a great narrative too, but
you know, Dak being the first quarterback for the Cowboys ever,
so he's got a lot of narrative with him too.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
And then all the you know, all the negative things
for the years, and he finally got it together and
he beat Philly and if they finished strong or something,
you know, like all those things could work in his favor.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
Now, if he stumbles down the stretch Christin, it's different.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Then That's what I think is interesting, right, Like it's
one of these guys gonna stumble, you know what I mean,
Like just have a horrible game or.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
You could, yeah, you and you wouldn't have to have
a lot of them. They only four games left. If
you have a bad if you have a bad day
at the offense and throw three picks and lose a game,
you could be outre That's how close it is. And
that's the other thing too.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Does Christian McCaffrey's.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Wonderful season for the Niners actually hurt Rock Party's chances
of winning MVP?

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Your thoughts? Next is Chrisia Rod THEAKA but Fox Sports Radio.

night football?

Speaker 5 (16:22):
Unfortunately?

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yes, twenty eight to nothing and they are only about
six minutes into the second quarter.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
And I want Steve de Seger, who works does the
charger stuff. I want Steve to give us our money
back from Amazon Prime.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
Steve, what is this?

Speaker 3 (16:41):
If I had the power, this is unbelievable. I mean,
Easton stick is the quarterback.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Isn't that a baseball bat?

Speaker 7 (16:50):
Easton right does make sticks?

Speaker 5 (16:53):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Right?

Speaker 5 (16:53):
This is this is how Steve is this? I know
Brett and Stalely.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
He can't survive ever since the church is lost.

Speaker 9 (17:00):
Those back to back close games with Detroit and Green Bay,
and then it was realistic. Oh, they're not going anywhere.
They've not been going anywhere. It's as if they've given
up on the entire It.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Feels like they, like even before this, yes, but they
feel like the last few weeks they just mailed it in.

Speaker 9 (17:15):
Yeah, they only had seven points last week, lost it
home to Denver. They had the sex and Nothing game
at New England and they.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Probably won't score to night or score.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
They're making freaking eight and O'Connell who you know, Look,
he's played okay, but they're making him look like a freaking.

Speaker 9 (17:28):
And giving him short fields. It's three fumbles in the
first half. He kept doing he.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Got three touchdowns. He's only thrown four hundred and thirty
four yards. He's got three touchdowns. It is nine comp
We give up the football like this is a dream
for him.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
In Raiders history, to lead by twenty one after the
first quarter had only happened once since nineteen seventy eight.

Speaker 7 (17:47):
Which is unbelaevable.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
That that is that's that is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yeah, there's no Staley cancer right. In fact, you can
ard you even though it wouldn't matter at this point. No,
what do you even keep him the rest.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Of the season? Us?

Speaker 5 (18:00):
They will They're not maybe.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Just I mean just you wouldn't hire but just promote somebody.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
I mean when you when you were up twenty seven
nothing in the playoff game and you lose and you
keep your job, They're gonna let them somebody like Rob.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
I wouldn't be shell shocked. I mean I'd be be
a bit surprised.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Do you think that if they fire him to night?

Speaker 3 (18:20):
No?

Speaker 1 (18:20):
No, if they kept him nastest year, I mean they
Rob he we you and I have talked about there
have been several reasons to fire this guy.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
No, I agree, but I just can't see them bringing
him back. I agree.

Speaker 9 (18:34):
Maybe this is why you don't give a four year
deal to someone who's never been a head.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Coach, right, I mean, look, there are guys that you're right,
you don't have to give him four years.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
But you know there are guys that make good and
end up being a good coach. But just two and
a team out so unconventional too, because.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Two and a team option and then if he does well,
then you pick up and then you could give him
an extension. You don't give a guy four years. That's like,
that's why even with Monty Williams, what do you get
a six year, eighty million dollar deal with the pit?

Speaker 3 (19:04):
This stuck? Yeah, this, You're like, you can't get rid
of him. You can't.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Not only did you give him a ton of years,
would you give him a ton of money money?

Speaker 3 (19:12):
I mean they gotta do.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
I mean I like k cunney, I like some of
their players, but they're gonna have to clean out that
locker room because this is a disconnect, right, there's.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Something here and if you can't and if you're not
going to fire the coach, and you're gonna have to
get rid of player, right all right? Eight set, Thanks Steve,
eight seven seven ninety nine. On Fox, let's go to
Brandon and Phoenix. You're on the Odd Couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Brand Brandon, Hey, how.

Speaker 10 (19:37):
You doing best show on the on the radio?

Speaker 5 (19:40):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Thank you? Brother?

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Hey Brandon, Brandon, real quick, why do you say that?
Why do you say we're the best show on the way.
What do we do that makes you feel good about
the show?

Speaker 10 (19:49):
Oh man, you're about to open the can of worms
right here. So the odd couple things touches me in
a different way where you know, I grew up with
friends that were different, different ethnicities, different backgrounds, everything. And
uh for you guys, you know you kind of preach

(20:10):
coming from different backgrounds, different everything, uh and and coming
together and making a great product, great show, great friendship.
Uh and and uh. So to me, that's one of
the biggest rus awesome.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
I'm glad you said that. All right, go ahead, what
you got, Brandon.

Speaker 10 (20:29):
So on the brock purty situation, I think it's a
little bit deeper than just saying that mccaffery's going to
take votes from him. I do think that having a
player like McCaffrey does take some significance away from what
he's doing, but also the debos and everybody else on
the team. But go a little bit further, go back

(20:50):
to last season and you look at the fact that
they started three different quarterbacks on that team and made
it to the NFC Championship. How many teams can you say,
start three different quarterbacks and go to a NFC or
AFC championship. I just think that it is a little
bit of a system thing. I think brock Purty is good,
don't get me wrong, But I think that you could

(21:12):
have Sam Darnold starting right now and probably be in
a similar situation.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
No, look, a lot of people feel that way. We
don't know. I'm not gonna take anything away from party.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Who's playing excellent, Rob and the thing, and you and
I both were somewhat defenders of Jimmy g Right.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
I mean, he did win his two healthy seasons.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
He got to the NFC Title Game and one year
the Super Bowl, but he never put up numbers like
this guy you know he was.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
I mean, he never was even.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
A pro bowler, let alone even within you know, eyeshot
of the MVP Award. So the party has been better,
but yet Rob there. I think some people, some people
do look at that. They look like what they were
a great team even with a mediocre.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
There's too much talent around for them to totally ignore
it and act like he doesn't have help.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
Right, that's the problem.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Gary in Houston, you're on the odd couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (22:10):
What's up, Gary?

Speaker 11 (22:11):
Yeah? Okay, so first Purple no way Daily gets fired
now because remember Anthony Lynn went three to nine and
lost forty five nothing and got the coach the year.
But he'll coach the year. But as far as CMC
and Purty goes. I think he will because remember now
the voting has changed. Now now you don't give this
one name, you have five names and to do like
a point to some So a personal CMC gets some vote,

(22:35):
sports fistics votes, so he'll take points fight for party.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
No, that's a good point, and it's gonna be interesting
to how the new voting system does impact things.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
You know, it's you. You know.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
In the past, Rob it was you vote for one guy,

Speaker 3 (24:54):
With the Raiders Dreams twenty eight nothing.

Speaker 12 (24:59):
Midway through the second quarter, I'm driving again. Flip the coin.
During the update, Rob Parker gets question number one. You
know the rules, please no cheating. Steve de Sagre is
gonna be the official talk. I mean it's just studio,
Yes he is.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
Yes, you see that nice pull over, Steve the sacred.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
I mean this dude just ran a Raider, just.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Ran for a touchdown untouched, telling us we didn't see
it yet, like a thirty something yard touchdown, un literally untouched.

Speaker 12 (25:31):
I hope they never. Fire brandis daily all right, this
is ridiculous, Rob Parker. Question number one. The Raiders have
played in three different cities in their franchise history, Las Vegas,
Los Angeles, and blink.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Alec.

Speaker 13 (25:46):
You ready, hi, Rob, Well, I'll do my best to
show up more than the Chargers all.

Speaker 7 (25:51):
Don't look at him, Chris, that's kind of tough.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
I know.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
We're actually work together. We're in the same stupid right.

Speaker 13 (25:58):
I really can't stay okay, kind of it's kind of

Are you ready? Run ready?

Speaker 5 (26:18):

Speaker 5 (26:19):
Yes, Okay, here we go.

Speaker 14 (26:23):
Sam sady on one part, I say the second, say

Speaker 5 (26:35):
He didn't.

Speaker 7 (26:35):

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Good, good, Yes, here we go, Here we here we go.

Speaker 13 (26:45):

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Yeah, that's what work. And didn't even have to cheat
what I supposed to think?

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Well, but you know what it's saying.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
No, but you can't say it say any part of
the words so san Francisco.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Could he said, a see what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
San Francisco. That wouldn't be one.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
Word no, no, No, it's the words san Francisco.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
But but if I said saying that's part of the word,
so you couldn't say you see what I'm saying, it
would disqualifyment.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
No part and that's not part of the Oakland. No.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
But I'm saying saying, if it was San Francisco, he
gets years ago.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
You see what I'm saying, right right, Like, that's what
all right?

Speaker 12 (27:37):
Level number two back to Chris with a chance to
really take a strangle here. The Raiders have had the
same team slogan for decades. Now he really lose.

Speaker 15 (27:48):
The slogan is just win blank all right, you you
just win again. Here we go, Here we go, Alex
newborn baby.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, it's a get the bongos ready, baby, get the
bongos ready, Raiders right, he's calling Robs all right, here
we go.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Level.

Speaker 7 (28:17):
Don't let him run in with a touch, Rob.

Speaker 12 (28:20):
Level number three over to Rob Parker, Come on NFL
Films creating an iconic poem about the Raiders back in
the day. It's called the Autumn, blank.

Speaker 7 (28:32):
Autumn like the season. Okay, breeze, breeze.

Speaker 13 (28:42):
My initial reaction was to say, Drew, but I know
that's not it. Uh breeze hand motion. Do the hand
motion one more time? Oh like when that is correct?
Look at Rob Okay.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
Yes more, No, I'm holding up a dubble you or anything.
I'm not doing anything.

Speaker 12 (29:01):
Spelling it out, Chris. The Raiders haven't made the Super
Bowls in two thousand and two, and even in that
game they lost to their former coach, Blank Gruden and
the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
I covered that.

Speaker 7 (29:12):
Your team sucks, Robg.

Speaker 12 (29:14):
You know the center when a wall right before the
super Bowl.

Speaker 7 (29:17):
Here we go, all right, Chris, I'm ready alright. What
you got?

Speaker 3 (29:22):
Legend?

Speaker 7 (29:25):
What's the name again, ROBG?

Speaker 12 (29:27):
Blank Gruden?

Speaker 3 (29:29):
Legend?

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Legend? Yes, legend, Chris, what are you saying? Legend?

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Legend? Dairy read read the question to him?

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Yeah, Ben Mellows next, Jonas knox On sad something Gruden legend.

Speaker 12 (29:56):
Gottlie warming up in the barry mm hmm. Chance to
steal Chris trying to get Rachel again?

Speaker 5 (30:05):
Okay, oh did he There we go?

Speaker 3 (30:09):
I didn't even I.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
Was talking to Steve the Seger.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
I'm at such a discipline.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
Here we go.

Speaker 7 (30:16):
See be only buy me dinner next time?

Speaker 13 (30:17):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (30:17):
Here we go, right right, Lennon.

Speaker 7 (30:25):

Speaker 3 (30:28):
You wouldn't have got that without.

Speaker 12 (30:30):
It's going to be real uncomfortable, was robbed.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
It's only it's only kiss.

Speaker 12 (30:35):
And Alex going out back in the hotel you're right
about it. Be real awkward. What level number five? Back
to rob for a chance to steal and the wind
right now? Nineteen ninety Yeah, well we.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Got to get what we're going I gotta get the
last one.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
How do you get the last?

Speaker 12 (30:56):
Rob Bo Jackson probably the most iconic greaters running back
of all time, but the all time leading rusher though
Marcus Blank.

Speaker 7 (31:05):
It's with all these names, rob g wow, we.

Speaker 12 (31:09):
Got to later. They're not names. We're not gonna have time.

Speaker 7 (31:11):
That's the only thing, all right.

Speaker 5 (31:13):
Just speaking no, no, no, no, we didn't do that.

Speaker 14 (31:16):
What you We're.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Not up against it. We're running to the next. Break
the hell with that? All right?

Speaker 7 (31:24):
Here we go, come on talking about come on?

Speaker 12 (31:29):

over the Chargers. Uh not even halftime yet. Are they
about to score? They actually could score again. They got

(32:50):
forty six seconds left. It's third and one and the
Raiders are threatening again from the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Twenty five.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
Gotta give Brendis Telly credit though.

Speaker 14 (33:00):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
He pulled his team to the sideline. He told him,
don't worry about it. Remember we were up twenty seven
nothing in the playoff game.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Hey, honestly, that's probably a halftime, right right, right, don't
give up.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
We were, we were up big and we log don't
don't give up.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Man, all right?

Speaker 1 (33:22):
So Rob, we you know, we talked, we were able
to talk about the Draymond suspension indefinite suspension yesterday before
most people.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Who talked about it today, of course.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
But I do think you heard some people saying, well,
you know, I think most of us included me, and
I think you too, but correct me if I'm wrong. Well,
we heard indefinite. We thought okay that, like you thought,
how long could it be?

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Right?

Speaker 6 (33:50):
Like?

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Wow, that that really might be really long. But some
people saying, well, what if it's seven games?

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Right? What if it's five games?

Speaker 1 (33:59):
He Here's why I think and my feeling was it
should be a minimum of ten. Before we knew the suspension,
I said, at least a minimum of ten. I'll be
fine with fifteen. You said twenty, Rob, I think it'll
be closer to fifteen to twenty because the NBA has
gone out of its way to say this is about
helping Dremond. Yeah, there's some punishment there, but we're concerned

(34:23):
about him as an individual.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Rob. Ten games would be two and a half weeks.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
If he's really going to take this seriously and get
I mean, I know he's not gonna get healed, if
you will, for lack of a better term, into in
twenty games. But still, if they're going to take this
seriously and really want him to see a legit a

(34:51):
legit counselor and maybe get a little legit therapy or whatever.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
It's not gonna be done in two and a half weeks.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
And so if they come back Rob and and he's
coming back to play in two and a half to
three weeks, then I'm this whole thing was a farce,
and you that you didn't, You weren't serious about all this.
We want to counsel him and help him and get
him the help he needs and all that. So I
do think it'll be Rob more than fifteen to twenty games.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
Yeah, I think they have to and along with that,
and I agree if you're talking about trying to help
the guy but also his priors, it can't be Yeah,
forty one nothing at the half. Wow, let's just I mean.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
This, would you go for seventy Why not? I wouldn't.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
I wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
You're all being paid.

Speaker 5 (35:43):
I wouldn't. I wouldn't take my foot off off the gas.
I wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
I wouldn't be like, oh, just run the ball all
second half and the game's over.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
I wouldn't I go out run the plays, do what
we're doing.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
Yeah, you've been on the the Raiders have been on
the on the other side of getting their butts kicked
plenty of time. I'm like I'm not letting the Chargers on.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
This would be a great thing for their season, you know,
And I mean, who knows, my god? And you, I
mean you got Khalil, Matt Derwin, James Austin Ecker, like
you got some names over there.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
My goodness, Brandon Staley, he's laughing on the sidelines, you
know what, because he said he didn't understand it. He
thought that the Raiders should have gone for two there?
What are they doing? He gave out of reach.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
It's gotta be tough to stand and I don't even
I'm sorry, I don't even like, I don't. I'm not
enjoying seeing this guy just struggle like this.

Speaker 5 (36:43):
Who Brandon Staley?

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Yeah, I don't enjoy it. But it's gotta be tough there,
Rob for him to stand there knowing.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
If he doesn't know this, then he's more clueless than
we thought. But to stand there knowing these dudes, how
about if they fired him at half at all? In you,
I mean, don't you think he's standing there knowing like
these dudes got nothing. As a coach, player's got no
to be in that situation.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Well, that's why we brought up the Manti Williams thing,
and he talked about it, either either the coach has
to go or you gotta change the locker room. I mean,
you can't when you lose twenty one in a row
and when you get blown out and it just seems
like there's nothing there, there's got to be a major change.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
This is this is I mean, and I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
I mean, maybe I put in some backups at some point,
like midway through the third quarter, but I let the
backups play, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
I let the backups.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Throw passes and run post patterns and you know, do
what they do. They deserve, they have a little fun.
You know, they work hard all year and get no
playing time. Let them go out there and play. This
is unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
All right. It's the Eye Couple. Chris Bruce r. Rob Parker.
We are signing off on this TV theme song Thursday.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
But keep it locked because Jason Smith and Mike Harmon
are next, and those two brothers bring absolute dynamite.
