we've got one of the members of the Odd Couple,
Zero Martin Weiss. Fox Sports Radio Weekend host with VJ.
Husky will join us for trolling or air rolling. At

(01:27):
the bottom of this, he told me that my hardball
take was week.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I think was it weak or lame or that he
should uh that that I'm saying that it's taint.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
He's a Michigan guy. I think he called it.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Imagine doing a show called Odd Couple, Light or Diet
Odd Couple, and you have the nerve to say that
something I did is week or lame.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
My god, he said it was a bad take. That's
what he said. All Right, we will.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I'm sure to get into it when he gets on
one for trolling or rolling before Rob Aaron Rodgers. I
don't ever remember a guy being injured out for a
season and making so much noise. Rob, this dude is

(02:16):
the most And I get it the Jets. They're the Jets, okay,
but still he is by far the most talked about Jet,
the most news making jet this season.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Yeah but but let me let me just say this.
I hear you, but that's because he has a paid
gig to be on every week.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
That's not he's not.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I hear what.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
You need the money, it's a million of dollars.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I know that I know that.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
What I'm just saying, like, it's a weekly appearance. But
if you go and hear more about him.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Though, because everybody else talks weekly too.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
No, he's just not on that platform.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I'm just saying, they get other guests. Do you hear
about any other guests on that show? All we hear
about is Aaron.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Rodgers because he says stuff, and that's the thing I
hear you he of course he's on the show weekly,
but all the players get interviewed after games, after practices
every day, so they're all talking to But he's.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Making you don't have access to players every day.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
No, not every well not football yeah, but still they're
talking during the week some of them. Some of them
are on local radio shows and some of them do
national radio interviews.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
And obviously they speaking after the game as so as
the coach.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
But but anyway, here is Aaron Rodgers, Rob g summarize
the latest.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Now he's battling with Jimmy Kimmel. Yeah, just quickly, Rob.
You know Nick Saban and JJ Watt also do interviews
on that show, and you never hear anything about what
they said that.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Nick Saban, like, I've never heard one thing more JJ Watt.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
They don't say, they don't say anything. But my point is, but, but,
but you were making it like for somebody who's injured,
you're hearing them. And all I was saying was not
was that he as a natural platform.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Do you see what I'm saying?

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Gotcha?

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Well, let's get to the latest with Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
And Nick Saban. I don't Nick Saban hasn't said anything
in forty years.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
But he still gets these great ads with Coca Cola.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
They do, he does.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
That's because he's attached.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
In a flack and a flack, that's what it's attached
to winning. You know that, that's all that is until
this year.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
Anyways, Aaron Rodgers, we talked about it last week, ruffled
a lot of feathers. What he said of the Pat
McAfee show quote, there's a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel,
who's really hoping that Epstein list doesn't come out, which
many interpreted as him insinuating that Jimmy Kimmel either is
or associates himself with pedophiles. Of course, we saw some

(04:43):
documents come out in the coming days, and what do
you know, Jimmy Kimmel's name was not listed anywhere in
the deposition or any of the documents that became public.
Well about a week later, now a week to the day,
Aaron Rodgers finally spoke about his controversial comments.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
And here's what he said.

Speaker 7 (05:04):
And I said, a lot of people, and I'm quoting
myself here, a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are
really hoping that doesn't come out. End quote. That's what
I said.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
That's the entire quote.

Speaker 6 (05:17):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
I was referring to the fact that if there is
a list, which again this hasn't come out yet. This
was just a deposition, right, and there are names on it,
and that would be the second time that a soft
brain junior college student, you know, wacko anti vacs, anti Semit,

(05:42):
purveyor spreader of misinformation, conspiracy theorist, maga, whatever other things
have been said by him and other people in the media,
would be right twice.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Okay, So it sounds like Rob what he's saying is
that he was he was saying when he initially made
the comment that Kimmel wasn't afraid of the Epstein list
coming out because he might be on it, but he
was afraid of it coming out because Aaron Rodgers would

(06:14):
be right about something else.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
So I mean, that's plausible. But here's the thing. No
one took it that way well.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
And because first time you first time you said it right,
first time you said it, no one knew all the
things you just clarified.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
So you owe that man an apology.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Because but this is where Chris, and I'm with you,
if you have to clarify it and you weren't clear
why people took it the way that they did. And
number two, if there was a journalist or somebody there
once he said it, Chris could have immediately said, do

(06:58):
you have breaking news in and why would Jimmy Kimmel
not want the list to come out? And then there's
your moment for him to make it. That's why you
have to have people there as safeguards. So that that
stuff why Chris we said all the time, we're not
bragging with trained journalists. We would not let anybody come

(07:19):
on our show. We just have Mike Lombardi on. Chris right,
me and you both love Mike Lombardi. When he pooh
pulled the cheating scandal with Michigan, can we just sit
back right? No, he was on a team an organization
that cheated.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
That's all now, And that's where Rob, journalist, it's not
just about trying to trap the person you're interviewing, trying
to get a great quote some of its clarity, and
that oftentimes can protect the person be an.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Interview and Chris, that would contact ESPN, And yes, I
know that turned into a big stink if they had
to apologize because you don't want to be a part
of something. You can't throw people's names out and and
insinuate stuff.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
You can.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Nah, You're right that that's a great point in how
having a journalist there who would have asked Rogers Jimmy
Kimmel is what what's the news on him? What do
you have on him? That would have protected Rogers? Now, Rob,
I do question. I think it's very possible just knowing
his track record, that Rogers is blowing smoke right, that

(08:34):
that Rogers really did want to jab Kimmel, you know
what I mean, Yeah, associate him with that even if
he knew it was false and just throw it out
there and and not knowing.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
The rules you know what I mean of libel and
all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
But it's still it would have either way, it would
have came out and he wouldn't have been able to
say what he just said if that was the case,
Like if he would have doubled down. Oh no, I'm
telling you I've heard things. You know, then now you
can't tell this lie if it's a lie that you
just told to clarify it. But the bottom line, Rob

(09:14):
and look Rogers is he's one of the greatest people
to ever throw a football. He's one of the greatest
at something that the world has ever seen.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
There's no doubt about anybody who says anything other they're
kiddna themselves. You don't have to you don't have to
be online with everybody up and follow their politics or
their thought process or their comments or whatever. But for
what he did in his professional career, he is one
of the greatest whoever did it?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Ever do that simple?

Speaker 1 (09:44):
And I think I guess Rob and it doesn't happen
with everybody, but I guess that can also when you
are the best to ever do something, or one of
the best ever do something, maybe you just get full
of yourself, you know, because why wouldn't you go on
there and say, look, I didn't mean I I meant

(10:08):
it an entirely different way. I didn't mean that Jimmy's
name was gonna be on the list. I didn't mean
he's a pedophile. Of I don't think that at all,
but I didn't clarify it, and so I apologize for that.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Why couldn't you say that.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
I'm with you one hundred percent. If I said something
to you and you said, hey, Rob, that offends me. Okay,
that would be my chance, right there, Chris, to say,
if I really didn't mean to offend you, I apologize.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
The only reason you wouldn't say that, apologize means that
you you you tried to. Because if someone says I'm
offended and you don't mean to offend somebody, it's a
real simple fix. Oh, Chris, I apologize. I didn't mean
it in that way. That's no, I didn't. I didn't
meet it in that way. There's no way. I don't

(11:02):
know anything about the list as no way I'm saying
Jimmy Kimmel is involved in pedophilia.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
No, oh my god, No, that's not what I meant.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
That's all I'm gonna say this about Rogers Rob, and
you know his teammates voted him most inspirational jet This season.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
And you know, I was.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Saying all year that his working out to try to
get back, whether it was for attention, whether it was selfishness,
whether it was a force, whether it was unrealistic, whatever
the motive, I did think that that would motivate his teammates,
that that would inspire them just to see this.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Forty year old guy working it.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yeah, they and they confirmed it, so to speak, by
making him the most inspirational Rob. I think the best
thing for him to do next year if he wants
to try to have the best season that the Jets
can have.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
And look, I'm not telling you that he can do
what he wants.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
I don't want to take money out of anybody's pocket,
but I'm just saying this. I think the best thing
for him to do would be to four go the
weekly interviews and just say, look, I I it's all
about football this year. And he said it yesterday I

(12:23):
believe it was yesterday. But this week, yeah, like, let's
leave the BS out the building. Well, most of the
BS is coming from your interviews every Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
And then everybody else has to respond or comment about Rob.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
He How inspiring would it be if he says, look,
y'all the preseason meeting. It's all about football. Nobody thinks
we can do it. I saw our defense. I watched
our defense all last year. You guys were great. I
saw Garrett get a thousand yards receiving and break a
Jets record with you know, the distant quarterbacks, but you know,

(13:01):
with our quarterback situation, with a bunch of different guys
throwing him the ball. I saw Breese run hard. We
gotta I'm gonna do my job, fellas. We got a
chance to do something special. And so it's all football.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
I'm not doing my weekly shows. I'm not talking about
all this other stuff. It's all football now. He can
talk Rob.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Privately about all that stuff with his teammates, with whoever,
but just don't That's what I would say.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
I think that.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Would send a message to his teammates that yo, this
is this season is gonna be different.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
And I don't know that they're gonna be any good.
He's two years removed.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Now from playing some good football, so he may not
be that great. But Rob, let's keep it real. If
their defense is really good and he's just mediocre next year,
I mean they could be okay, because we saw that
with Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Pittsburgh, you know, but you you also know like Miami
and Tua Buffalo, Couz ain't no cake whoa.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
No, I'm not saying I'm picking him to do anything.
I'm just saying, yeah, I agree with yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
But but they they got they ain't gonna be easy.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
No, no, no, no, they gonna they they gonna have
their hands for I mean, if they just make the playoffs,
that'll be good for them next year. But all right,
A seven seven ninety nine on Fox, you're turned the
way in. Should Aaron Rodgers apologize to Jimmy Kimble and
just Aaron Rodgers in general? Lost to get to your thoughts?

we're talking Aaron Rodgers. Should he just apologize to Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Your thoughts? Fox Sports Radio?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
All right, let's kick it off, rob g. You got
some calls for Jonathan in San Diego. You're up first
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jonathan?

Speaker 10 (16:33):
Hey, guys need to taking my call. Great show, Thank you,
auch Zack. Yeah, of course. I just I need to
push back a little bit though on suggesting that Rodgers
should apologize. It seems like, whether intentionally or not, you
guys are leaving out the fact that a year ago
on My TV, Kimmel called Rogers a whack job with
CTE for even believing this Epstein list existed. So when

(16:56):
Rogers made those comments about Kimmel being afraid to listen
be release, it wasn't him accusing him of being a pedophile.
It was because Kimmel said the list wasn't even real,
And then I was like, oh, it's coming out.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Okay, but there's a difference there too. And my point is.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Most people did not know.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Most people don't know the ongoing, So when you hear
a clip, that's why you got to be as clear
as possible. You might be a guy who watches kim
wore follows it, but the way it just sounded christ
and stopped me if I'm wrong. When I heard it
was like he was going to be on the list
or associated with it.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
That's how I mean, I don't know, does that take it?
I think, Jonathan, you made You're right. In fact, that's
how we started the segment. Remember I said it looked
like Rogers. You know, that's what he meant? Is that
or at least that's what he's saying he meant, but nobody.
Most people didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
I guarantee you. Most listeners just took it at face.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
And it's weird just to put somebody's name, like you
could say, well, Jimmy Kimmel doesn't want it to come out,
because he'd be wrong that there is a list. In fact,
do you know what I mean? Compared to he didn't
want it, he doesn't want it out or whatever. It
just sounded the way it was, and maybe we talked

(18:16):
about it, Chris. If there's a safeguard of somebody to
push back clarity, can you get.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
What are you talking about? You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I think also, Rob is because it's pedophilia. You know,
if he said something that's much lighter and not you
know what I mean, not as serious, not as you know,
horrible as that, then maybe it's not that big of
a deal. But to most people listening, I believe you,

(18:44):
it came off like you were associating here with pedophilia.
It just and you can even just say, look like
you said, I didn't mean it like that.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Man, My bad. You know, I had no I'm.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Talking about he said that there wasn't even a list,
and I'm saying that, you know what I mean, he
was afraid that there would be a lit then they
would be proven wrong. That's a whole different conversation. Rob
g jump in.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Yeah, just a question for you guys, So you know,
if we're going to give Rogers the benefit of the
down and say he didn't really mean it the way
it was interpreted the first time, once it blew up
the way it did, Jimmy Kimmel, you know, tweeted out
the response later that night. It got picked up all
across media, not just sports media, but news media, entertainment media.
It was everywhere, and even still as recently as Monday

(19:30):
afternoon when he met with the Jets media, you know,
right for the end of the season. They asked him
if he had a response, and he says, I do
tune in on Tuesday. Does that sound like a guy
who really didn't mean it the way he first said it,
wouldn't you immediately say, look, that's a very serious allegation.
I didn't mean it the way it was interpreted. I

(19:51):
still don't like the guy, but I would never call
him a pedophile without any kind of or insinuated a pedifile.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
I mean, without press that's just yeah, yeah, rob G.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
That's the best point is you could have easily cleaned
it up and what I just this is what I meant,
and if it was misconstrued the way it sounded, in
no way am I saying he's That's all you have saying.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Even if you you you still don't like him, don't
get along with him, you know you, I mean, just
human decency. You associated the guy with this or at
least that's how people took it. Just address it and
be like, look, I didn't mean it that way at all.
I get why he was upset. I mean, look, I
still don't like him. I'm still gonna go at him,

(20:33):
but I.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Did not mean associated with pediphield.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Right the end of the story, Robert and Montana, you're
on the couple of Fox Sports Rader.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
What up, Robert?

Speaker 6 (20:44):
Yeah, Hey, Aaron Rodgers should not apologize. Come on, what
Jimmy Kimmel got his feelings hurt? Big man. They're both
grown man. They were talking crap to each other. Get
over it. And Jimmy Kimmel, you know, he's no saint,
just like you're caller was, you know when he said
no no, and then he was on The Man Show

(21:05):
jumping around and you know, girls on the trampoline and
come on, get over it.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Would you say, though, I hear you, but and we
nobody's saying Jimmy Kimble's the same. But wouldn't you agree
because it's pedophilia.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
I'm with you, Chris, that's that thing that you could
go after Jimmy Kimmel all you want, talking and associating
someone with pedophilia is probably the worst thing that could
be attached to your name. I'm sorry, something that's not
something that that's not something to be flipover, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 1 (21:38):
I signed even, I mean yeah, there's other things you
could say, like Rob said you shouldn't be flippant with that, and.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
That you shouldn't be flippant with pedophilia.

Speaker 2 (21:47):

Tom Brady, he's done, Aaron Rodgers did not have a
Pro Bowl season.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Trying to kiss me.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
It's trolling or Roland.

Speaker 11 (22:13):
That's right, croll and rolling on Martin White. I'll break
it down for you real quick. If that's if you
just the first time hearing it. If in fact Rob
and Chris liked the story, I read like they should
like the fact that Michigan finally champions of the way.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
I like it all down they go.

Speaker 11 (22:31):
And look if you and I'll be honest, if you're
like Rob Parker earlier in today's show talking about it
just like the Houston ass trolls, then go ahead and
troll that. Oh many all right, guys.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
I'll say this, Michigan's championship is like yellow snow. That's
all I'm gonna say to you.

Speaker 11 (22:53):
You know what, The happy Sea shirts fit the same partner,
Michael Pennick, which is he had come too. He was
one of college football garlands this season until he ran
into the buzz off that was the University of Michigan defense.
Some people had him as a hot draft pick, but
last night's performance not impressives Christmas rolling or rolling panics.

(23:15):
Draft socks fell last night.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Oh I'm rolling with that's not really a question.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
He's had a terrible Yeah, no question. Oh no, it
didn't fall. Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (23:27):
You can rib getting testy? You get your turn, Rob,
You'll get your turn. Yeah, there's no doubt it.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Dropped because one, there were questions about his durability, right,
because that's why he's so old in the in the
college football to begin with, because he's had the two
ACLS injuries, and then last night he's just banged up.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
I mean, he just gets beat up and he's visibly.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
In pain holding his ribs and just you know, it
was looking like somebody take him out of his misery.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
And then he played poorly and Michigan.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Did you know, they have a lot of NFL coaches
on their staff, so they did some NFL things defensively,
some moves, shifts and and things fronts and things.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Like that that he I don't think was used to seeing.
And it looked like he was a bit shook.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
And actually people told me too, some ex players they
thought he looked a little bit shook anyway, because he
was flinching, afraid of that sack to some degree. So
that Rob you mentioned him missing a wide open receiver last.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
That's a big point in the game. Are you kidding?
Of course, I'm rolling with it.

Speaker 11 (24:39):
They see me.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Did on what Chris Bussard said.

Speaker 11 (24:44):
All right, all right, sports RADI up to the NFL. Historically,
Mike Tomlin as one of the most successful coaches in
NFL history. But this team, the Steelers recently, I've had
getting out of the first run of the playoffs. Adam
reported earlier today that Tomland could take a break from
coaching after this upcoming playoff run concludes. Christy Charge rolling

(25:07):
the roll and Tomlin taking time off is a good idea,
trolling oh.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Man, Yeah, I mean, unless he wants to leave the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
You know, and take a year off and then come
back or a year or two whatever.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
It would be probably a year.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
You know, he'd be in high demand and go to
another franchise. But like, what if the guy replaced it
him does a great job in Pittsburgh, then now Tomlin
comes back and takes it back after the year. That's
just I mean, maybe they do it, but I don't
think that's a great situation.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
So I'm trolling it. I think, you know, he should
keep coaching.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
I'm trolling it, oh Man, only from this standpoint. I mean,
what does that mean. It just means that there's somebody
in the front office they don't want him there anymore. Okay, Wins.
We can't get rid of him because he's always over
five hundred. But we haven't had a good team. The
team doesn't really compete for anything in the postseason. By

(26:08):
people would be mad at us if we fired him
because he's never had a losing season. That sounds like
a plant to me. What take a break from what?
He's not sixty five, Chris take a freak gall check
seventy one years old, and they're asking him to take
a break when he's never had a losing season. Who's
ever heard of that, Chris?

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Have you ridiculous? No, No, that's a plan. Like you said,
they don't.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
That's their way of saying, yeah, step away and maybe
you don't want to come back, or maybe we can, uh,
something else will happen and we won't want you back.
Take a take a break.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
I never even heard of that. That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
You want a guy, fire him if you don't want them.

Speaker 11 (26:46):
Yeah, I'll tell you what if they don't want Time
win in Pittsburgh. I got another team in black and
Gold that will gladly take him. Come on down, New Orleans, baby.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
You're lying about that. I wish at some point though,
it's gotta be better. The offense is awful, Chris.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
And they don't.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
They don't really, they don't really threaten you. I just
think the team, the team, you know, yes, they over
five hundred. Oh my god, have they been a factor
in the last ten years.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
To your point, Rob, a lot of people would understand
if they got if they fired Time, they would you know,
even know, everybody would admit, yes, he's a great coach,
but it might just be time for a new voice.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Chris, Marvin Lewis they could.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
Do it if they were to Cincinnaty. They went to
the playoffs seven times during his ten Now.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
He wasn't as good as no, no, no, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
I'm just saying, but they went to the play How
many coaches go to the playoffs seven times in their
run as a head coach, but they didn't win one
playoff game.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
That's why he got fired.

Speaker 11 (27:47):
Right Troller Row a couple of Fox Sports Radio. This
team won some playoff games last year, had some seasons
turning into games. This year, however, Darvin Ham's seats is
getting hotter and hotter as the Lakers have struggled after
the n season tournament, and his frustrations seems to be mounting.
Just a few days ago, he said, quote, I'm tired

(28:08):
of people living and dying with every game we play,
adding its quote ludicrous to do so Christmas things like Ham,
it's feeling the heat.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
I'm gonna roll with it.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
I'm not rolling with him, like getting fired. I don't
think you should get fired. They just beat the Clippers,
they just won the nd season tournament, so I look,
the players need to look themselves in the mirror. They
got enough talent on their roster to be much better
than they have been.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
But I am rolling with it. Sounds like he's definitely
feeling the heat.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
And he makes a good point, like, look, because of
today's sports landscape, right, and all the shows like this
and the shows like this on television one, I'm on
first things first, like we do.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
I mean, every game is magnified.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
It used to be that every one of eighty two
games was not that big of a deal to the media,
but now it is all talked about and every mistake
is magnified, and it's it's treated like college football, where every.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
Game could be your season. And so I get kind
of where he's coming from as well. I'm trolling it.
Oh many, Hey, just see what you signed up for.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
This is the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
People care.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
People are sitting there, Chris, they bought eight thousand dollars
tickets to go to the game. It matters to people.
You can't pooh pooh it because you're because you're in
a funk. But people care. Really you want apathy, like
they don't care whether or not you you're two and
nine and after they're winning the nd season tournament, like
you're not gonna talk about what's wrong with the team.

(29:50):
And you're and you're disappointed. I just don't understand. People,
What warl are you living in? People are paying big
time money to go to games and pay attention and
get in their car and pay forty dollars for beer. Really,
and we're and we're not supposed to care about the
Tuesday night game on that you got blown out in.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
I just don't. I don't buy that for one second.

Speaker 11 (30:14):
Well, I got a trash talk all you people out there,
like Rob Parker saying this championship is painted and so
on and so forth. Scouting shouldn't be against the rules,
and you know.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
What shouting.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Shouting?

Speaker 11 (30:32):
Look, look, look even after the fact he I.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
Just went on a date with her. We didn't. I
didn't commit adultery either, exactly. Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 11 (30:42):
Hey, look, hey, hey, you know what, it could have
been worse. You want to talk about just one on
a date.

Speaker 6 (30:47):
He didn't go home.

Speaker 11 (30:48):
But the point of the matter is, even at that
date just occurred. He was punished for the pinch that game, and.

Speaker 6 (30:54):
You know what happened.

Speaker 11 (30:55):
They ran the ball thirty straight times down there crow
like grown men the big pen do. And that's the
same thing that happened to one.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
He's still cheated, stopping Martin, stopping That's why they got
rid of coaches. That's why Harbor was suspended. Come on,
admit it. Can you at least admit it? He talked
about they didn't do anything wrong, really where he talked
all big about his day in court and due process,
and then he crumbled as soon as they showed him

(31:24):
the evidence that they had.

Speaker 11 (31:26):
Come on, man, he just settled because he was trying
to win a national championship. That's what happened, and just
went to hear the rest of what happened. Just catlefall
soos story with the rest of college football. We'll see
how many angels there are out there, all right, That's.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
Always what they say.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Offer.

Speaker 4 (31:41):
So I wasn't the only one driving seventy five.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Look at all these other people. You just stopped me.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Dowsy wewsye woo woo.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Bye Martin, Bye martinat.

Speaker 11 (31:57):
Stuff Top twenty five teams on the way, and Nick's
get out of here by Folia.

Speaker 3 (32:02):

Speaker 3 (32:18):
All right, it's the Eye Couple Chris Bruce R. Rob Parker.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Live from the tire rack dot Com Studios and Rob.
We've talked a good amount about last night's game. Michigan
thirty four Washington thirteen. Pretty much total demolition.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
It was weird because it was within seven for a
big chunk with m minute something to go, But it
never really felt like it was a competitive game because
of all the yards on the ground, the big plays, Chris,
it just didn't feel like watching it like it was
like it was a good game.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Then Rob, Michigan rushed for three hundred and three yards
and Washington rushed for forty six.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
At least they were consistent, I'm sorry, consistently bad.

Speaker 6 (33:11):
My god.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Michael Pennis Junior threw two fifty five. JJ mccarthyeld. Michigan
only threw for one forty.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
But he didn't need to throw the ball. They actually
had him throw the ball.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Too much, right, He really didn't need to throw it
at all. So what's your take?

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Like it was it was?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
I mean, it wasn't. We've seen much worse, you know, I.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
Don't know I just what can we do to get
the games better? I don't know, it just seems like
we don't. We get a lot of lopsided Well.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
The playoff games were the four you know, the semi
finals were great, right.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
But there were a lot of other games that were terrible.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
And I don't know last year the TCU right, uh yeah, Well,
I think the twelve team playoff is gonna used to look.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
You still have blowouts. You got blowouts in the NFL playoffs.
I mean, blowouts happen. But I think the twelve ten
team playoffs gonna be great. I think that will take
care of a lot of the apathy regarding all the
other balls. Nobody cares about all these other games, so
that gives you, like seven, I think it's gonna be
seven games that people will care about. That seven games

(34:19):
are of consequence, whereas now you've got three, so it
might even be more rob How many games would that
be if with the twelve team playoffs? But now you've
got the choo semi final games in the championship and
so next year you'll have more that people care about.
Nobody cares about the other balls anymore because they're meaningless.

(34:40):
And then the players a lot of times may not
even want to play in them anymore, and I don't
blame them.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
So I think that is going to be great.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
And I'm not under no, you know, inclination that it's
gonna totally erase blowouts from the games. But you know,
blow out here and there is what it is. But
I think it'll be competitive to playoff and you'll see,
even if it's not in the championship game, I think

(35:09):
there'll be plenty of competitive playoffs.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Yeah, I disagree. I think there aren't enough really good
teams to really vie. There'll be plenty of blowouts to
be like, oh, this team's really doesn't deserve to be
in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
We'll have a lot of that.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
I just I don't know how it's gonna work. I
think it's too thin. I really don't think that there
are that many really good schools that.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Really should be better though because with the transfer portal
nil now, I mean that's just spread the wealth out
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
We'll see. I don't go in the case, I don't.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
I mean, you were having blown like we just had
a blowout in the championship game. You've had blowouts, so
it's not like I mean, if we get blowouts in
the championship games, by your reasoning, I mean that would
darn there, mean there's not two teams worthy of playing
for the but I mean you can't.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
But I'm saying if you if you can't even get
good games with four teams that did.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Well you did the two the two semi final games
were excellent.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
Yeah, But but I'm saying, Chris, most of the most
of the history of the college football playoffs, like I
don't know what the exact number is, I don't want
to over exaggerate, A third of them have been lopsided,
like they have a lot of games. Yeah, a lot
of the games have been lopsided. I mean that that's

(36:29):
the But my point.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Is that that by your reasoning, just because it's lopsided,
like you're saying, there's not twelve good teams, you know,
teams capable.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Of playing in the playoffs. If you take that reason,
and then there's not two because we always get a.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
But adding teams don't not gonna make it more competitive.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
It will because a lot of those teams are on
the same level. Even if you even if you only
have two teams, and and we don't even know who
those two are. But let's say there's one or two
teams that's and shoulders above everybody else.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
The other ten will be close enough where they make
good games.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
I look, last night was a little bit of a
downer because even though I wanted Michigan because it was
a kind of non competitive, but the two semi finals
were great, so I was fine with that. If we
can get several playoff games that are good and competitive
and you have a blowout here or there, or maybe
more so.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
But I mean, we'll have some blowouts in the NFL
playoffs this year.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
Yeah, college football is different. I just don't think that
there are really twelve teams.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
On what should you do? Then keep it at four
is what I But you're seeing blowouts with that?

Speaker 4 (37:46):
No, I know, I know, but we had teams, We
had teams that.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
We think should have been in it, like Georgia.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
Like Georgia now will be able to everybody feels like, man,
they're as good as the other four, or at least
a few of the other four, but you couldn't fit
them in. So now you'll be able to fit in
a team like that and more. I mean, what is
the nobody cares about these other Bowl games. I mean,

(38:18):
like I said, what about the fact that now you're
going to have several games of consequence that even at
the start, even during the day, people are gonna be
excited about, people gonna want to watch. It's gonna be
a musty TV. And if it turns into a blowout,
so be it. But there will be that anticipation. Now

(38:39):
there's not, there's only three games. I just think that
we continue to water down everything. More is not better.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
I wish.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
I'm an old school I wish baseball had twenty four
teams Chris not thirty, and I really wish, I really wish.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
But you do admit the playoffs have going to the
wild Card and everything made the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
But there are six teams that you could lop off
who really can't compete one major.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
League city bad teams.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
We're smaller there was, but not as bad as some
of these teams that just can't compete. And my point
is you don't have to water everything down to make money.
It's some money makes all it is. It's not warden
it down and money makes the world go round.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
No, it does. Love it loves all right, you need
money too.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
It is important Gods love, but you do need need
some money money to love.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
Baby, navigate this thing all right. We out a couple
