Let's get this.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Punies, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
It is The Odd Couple. I'm Chris E's Rob.

(00:55):
show post it. Right after we get off the air,
We've got Trolling or Rolling with Martin Wewis's coming up
at the bottom of the hour. But in the meantime,
in between time, we're going to talk a little NBA
and Rob. Last night, the LA Clippers lost for the
fourth time in six games and for the sixth time

(01:20):
in nine games to the Indiana Pacers.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Wasn't really close. They lost one thirty three to one sixteen.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
The bad one was to Atlanta here Chris with no
Troy Young. That was awful too.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
That was bad.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Pacers were on the second night of a back to
back to Philadelphia blows them out with no Joe lmbiid.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Of course it's all been bad Robed there.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Two and nine against winning teams since the All Star break.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
But they're not playing good basketball at all.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
And last night rob After that game, James Harden said
they don't have an identity, and ty lou rebutted it.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Here's what he said, identity.

Speaker 6 (02:04):
You know, for us, it's gotta be toughness, which means
physicality mentally and physical toughness for high powered offense. We
can score a lot of different ways, and we gotta
have a defensive mindset. And so right now, do we
have an identity? But I think yeah, we're soft. We
do have an identity. When we were twenty six and five,
we had a great identity. You can't pick and choose

(02:25):
when you want to lead. You can't pick and choose
when you want to have identity. You can't pick and
choose when you want to do things.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
The right way.

Speaker 7 (02:32):
This ain't got nothing to do with no identity. I'm
sorry that I'm not buying that. He said the right word, Chris,
just say it. You want to say that they're soft
and they give in and roll over whatever, or don't
come out and give their roll every night or whatever.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
That is identity that come on, he's just said up.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I think that's one of those generic and my right crasy.
There are times where it.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
May be true, but but everybody's just right, but right,
you know.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
What I mean, it's like a generic and I don't
know what's going on, but we got no identity.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Really think it.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Is twenty six and five?

Speaker 4 (03:12):
What was that at one point?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I do think this though, I do think that that
he's right. They don't have an identity, even though I
think he was just throwing it out there. And the
reason I think they don't have an identity, Rob, is
because they're four best players. They're four stars. Three of
them certain Hall of famers, James Harden, Kawhi, Leonard Russell Westbrook,

(03:41):
one of them maybe probably Paul George Rob. I don't
think any of those guys are leaders. I think they're
great players. I think Kawhi is obviously a phenomenal player,
but I think he's just a quiet guy wants to
stick to himself for the most part. Not that he's
not friendly with guys, but I don't think he has

(04:03):
any desire to really galvanize the troops and lead.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
He's like, I'm gonna go ball, come with me.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Paul George has said similar to Kevin Durant, and he
wasn't the leader back in that.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I'm just right.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
He leads with, you know, yeah, I'm gonna go out
there and do my thing and come on with me.
Russell Westbrook, I do think Rob is the strongest personality,
but I just think at this stage Russe is obviously
not a great player like he used to be.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
And I also think even when he.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Was great, his erratic, reckless style of play, I think
that can make it difficult to be the leader, even
though I think he's selfless in terms of you know,
he made a big sacrifice this year to come off
the bench, whether it was Tyler's decision or his. He
accepted it and was fine with it, and that was

(04:57):
huge for them.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
But again, I don't think he can be the leader
right now.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
And Rob James Harden I think Harden is and there
are guys like this Rob in every field of endeavor.
I think Harden is just like man, I'm making millions,
I got a great life, I got a great lifestyle.
I'm a superstar slash celebrity. I'm hanging out whenever I want.

(05:26):
I can do whatever i want to do. I'm gonna
make the Hall of Fame. I mean, I'm good.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
If we win great short. Yeah, I like to win,
but I don't think it consumes him. Rob.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I don't think he's obsessed with it. And I feel
like that shows and lately Rob one of their problems.
He's gotten a lot of assists, but his shooting and
his scoring has really dipped in the last month or so,
and so Rob, as we come around to the playoffs,
it seems like James Harden is not playing this well.

(06:00):
And we've seen that before. So I think that's their
main problem. I lose a leader. But you need you
need some leadership from the roster, and.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
You need you need somebody in shorts, Chris. They gotta
have shorts on. I mean, let's just be honest. It's
just like that. It's like that you could be uh
if you're not out there you know, you're not playing,
it's harder. It's just Yeah, they're guys who are on
the bench, who are leaders, Chris, but they're not playing, right.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
You gotta be able to play at a certain level
if you're gonna be leading people.

Speaker 7 (06:34):
You know, yelling and say we got you know, for
people who want to bury them and it's all over.
I just I just think that that is way premature
and ill advised because we just saw what and and
I don't know, Chris, is it better that they slump
now before they get into this. If this happens at

(06:56):
the start of the postseason, they're out. They could turn
this around easily. I think with the talent Westbrook is back,
he could get back into it. They could get a
little more. They've had the rough patch and they can
get back. There's talent on the team, they have a
fantastic coach. How they got lanked on defense on the perimeter, Chris.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
What don't you like? Don't what don't you like that.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
They don't have plea it's mostly I was talking with somebody,
a former member of the organization.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
He was saying, it's eighty percent mental with him.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Right, And I will say, Kawhi, and I think you'll
agree with me Kawhi in Pg. Thirteen, Paul George. They
aren't the defenders they used to be. They're still you know, Okay.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
Three years ago when they lost to Denver, that was
their year, Chris.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
They really not right, but they were there.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
He blew it absolutely in the in the bubble. They
were up three to one. That was supposed to be
their championship, not the Lakers. Let's just call it like
it is.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
They blew it. But I'm with you in that I'm
not giving up on them.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
I mean I picked them to get to the conference
finals and lose to Denver.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
I think you might be that same.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
I got the same pick.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, So here's three reasons, Rob, I'm not going to
abandon them. You alluded to it earlier. The thirty one
and eight stretch was real. That happened, right, Like, that's
not all. We're not sitting here saying, man, look at
all the talent though, if they just put it together.
We saw him put it together. We saw them put

(08:32):
it together. So we know what they're capable of this year.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
So that's number one.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Number two, as you mentioned, they do have a great
coach in Tyleru.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
I liked what he said. He called him out enough,
and that's the quote this going viral.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
We're soft. He called him out enough where it's gonna
get their attention and should wake them up.

Speaker 8 (08:54):
Rob.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
But if you.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Listen to the entire interview, even if you listen to
just what we played, he wasn't throwing them under the bus.
He was like, look, this is who we really are.
We're tough, we can score, we can do this, do
that right now. We're playing like we're soft, but we
can come out there. So he I thought it was
fine what he said, and then thoroughly Rob. Outside of

(09:18):
the Nuggets, when I look at every team right now
from the play in on up tenth seed a Golden
State on up to second seed at ok See, I
got questions. They're either young and haven't done anything together before,
like OKAC, Minnesota, New Orleans, somewhat Sacramento.

Speaker 9 (09:43):
They're underachieving, like the Clippers, Phoenix, right Dallas. Look, I
know what the Lakers are and Golden State is just
it's over. They might be able to spoil somebody else's
postseason might, but they're not.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
They're not winning it. They're not winning the West, it's over,
the dynasty's over.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Then the Sun just have a bad loss.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
What game with that?

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Last night they lost to the What the Spurs without
Victor Wimby.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Without without Wimby?

Speaker 4 (10:14):
What?

Speaker 5 (10:15):
What was that? So that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Everybody's got question marks outside of Denver. And so yeah,
I'm not I'm not saying they can't get it done,
but they need to wake up.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Oh definitely. And they have time to We got a
couple of what we got three weeks?

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Oh yeah, they got plenty of time.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Three weeks or so before the seasons. Oh, there's plenty
of time. Veterans like that, they got time.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
Yep. And and and uh and Tyler Lou.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
I have faith in tyleru. And I think you're right.
He didn't go ballistic to the point where where he's saying,
like these guys it's all on them, they can't play
and this and that.

Speaker 5 (10:54):
It's a it's a rough patch. It happens in the
NBA all the time.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Yep. Yeah, up, And so we'll see if they can
pop out of it.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. You turn the
way in? Are you done with the Clippers? Do they
still have a chance to go deep in the playoffs?
And what are your thoughts? Are these any of these
guys leaders Kawhi Pg. Thirteen, Hard and Westbrook and does

(11:25):
not being the leader kind of hurt their legacy?

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Your thoughts? Next? Christ and Rob The I Couple Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

All right, this is Jay Glazer.

Speaker 10 (11:44):
And you may know me for the world of football
or fighting or even shows like HBO's Ballers. Well you
don't know is for my entire life. I have lived
in something I refer to as the Great Depression anxiety.
So now I'm coming out with a new podcast, Unbreakable,
a mental health podcast with Jay Glazer where each week,
well we talk.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
About mental health. I hope to describe it, give it words.

Speaker 10 (12:06):
Listen to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer on the iHeartRadio App,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
All right, it's The Eye Couple live from the Tirearrack
dot Com Studios and just like in basketball, where a
successful game plan begins with the right players, the team
at Tractor Supply believes it's the same thing in corporate America.
Get the right workers and you're good and hustle and

(12:36):
heart and you're great. And that's why Tractor Supply is fantastic.
So lace up your sneakers and make the winning play
now by heading to your local Tractor Supply store today.
And hey, check out the eye couple on your radio.
Why you do so, Charlton and Rowlings around the corner.
But first it's you eight seven seven ninety nine on

(12:59):
fuck are the Clippers done?

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Your thoughts?

Speaker 5 (13:05):
All right? Are they done? Wow?

Speaker 7 (13:08):
That was pretty dramatic. Let's do this Andre and Massachusetts.
You're in the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drake?

Speaker 11 (13:15):
How you doing? Thanks for taking the call.

Speaker 12 (13:17):
Listen.

Speaker 11 (13:17):
We can never count the Clippers out so long is
their healthy, that is their clip tonite, not necessarily their
ability during the playoffs, but their availability during the playoffs.
And that's what we saw from ty Lou a couple
of years back, made a run for the Western Conference
finals when it should have been Utah's year. Came back
from you know, with down. What was it like the

(13:39):
double tickets on the road at Utah with Quince Sider.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
That was huge. And remember Kawhi got hurt in that series.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Yeah, and they still got to the conference final out.

Speaker 11 (13:50):
And so I feel like Tyl lou As just said,
the strategists with their player development staff, Steve Bomber being
the Rich Richards aroned team sports, the Clippers have all
of the pieces. They have a tremendous amount of depth. Also,
this slide after the All Star break is concerning, but
nobody wants to see the Clippers. A healthy Clippers team
in the playoffs, they can send anybody home and that

(14:11):
that includes the Denver Nuggets with their experience, and I
just so I'm buying them. And this is a revenge
tour in conclusion, Like Kawhi Leonard, like Paul George, they
hear the murmurs, they hear that, they hear the whispers
that they can't get it done, And I think, should
they be healthy? I favor Denver, but the Clippers are
right there in my opinion.

Speaker 7 (14:29):
Thansk, Yeah, you're with them, Chris, And I I mean, like,
if it's not Denver, we we think it could be
the Clippers if they're healthy.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
H MJ in the wall and join the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, MJ?

Speaker 12 (14:42):
What's going on? Line? Breasts talking to is how.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Y'all doing doing great?

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Great?

Speaker 8 (14:46):
Brother?

Speaker 12 (14:48):
All right? Well, yes, sir, I'm riding, not still, I'm
riding with those slippers like a chadlanc with the fifth
wheel in the back.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Oh wow. Also you got the gangs, the lean to
diamond in the back, sun roof top.

Speaker 12 (15:02):
The white wall, the white wall.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
My dad needs to bring back white wall.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
My dad used to have the Eldorado, the drop top
Eldorado where kids could fit in the back seat.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
Christian, Hey, kids could sit in the back seat.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Don't see the.

Speaker 12 (15:18):
Ant, Yes, sir, let me let me go script. I
wanted to finish up with this. Yesterday we saw about
the Women's Games. That's not forget Rob Lost and Nancy
Lieberman some years ago.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
Right, hey, but it was a fix.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Oh m J, She smoked, manute.

Speaker 13 (15:38):
J.

Speaker 8 (15:38):
M J.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
Hold on, MJ, have you ever played with a w
n B A ball?

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Have you?

Speaker 5 (15:43):
I'm just asking you. Just just answer me that, you know,
you know, m J.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Don't even entertain this. Man, It's so like a volleyball.
You should have been better with that.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
We're not.

Speaker 12 (15:59):
Rob smaller bout and moved around like Michael.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Oh my god, dominating one hand like doctor j own her.

Speaker 12 (16:08):
But Chris, this leadership thing, even Michael Jordan said he
was not a leader. There's more than one way to lead.
You can leave by example, you can leave by getting
up in guy's faces.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
But now with Dave, what did Jordan's say?

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Was the leader?

Speaker 12 (16:22):
He said that on the last dance, Yes, sir, remember.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Do you remember that rock?

Speaker 7 (16:28):
I don't, he said, but I just don't remember that guy.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Maybe, but I think he was a leader when you
look at what he did with that team was.

Speaker 7 (16:37):
More like it was more like his style of leadership
isn't for everyone, he said.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
The leader, he wasn't afraid to get in somebody's face.
His style of leadership exactly.

Speaker 12 (16:50):
My turntables, man, and I got four of them. He
said he was not a leader, but they fathered along
with him. Like I said, there's more than one way
to lead. So I'm rolling with him.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Who he's the leader on that team? Clipper leader?

Speaker 8 (17:04):
The leaders?

Speaker 12 (17:05):
Like you?

Speaker 4 (17:05):
No what I mean? Rob said? Who is shorts?

Speaker 5 (17:09):
Who is shorts? Is the leader.

Speaker 12 (17:12):
If I was in the locker room, I could see that.
But since I can't, I won't. I'm old school.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
When you have that's a nice way of saying, I
don't know, I don't know. You you could see who
the leader was if they had one.

Speaker 12 (17:26):
I'm saying Russ is the leader. Who just got that?

Speaker 4 (17:28):
That's say I don't think they have a leader. I
think that's part of their problem.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
All right, thank you, buddy. Thanks.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Jim's rolling with him, that's for sure.

Speaker 7 (17:38):
Yeah, he said, like the Cadillact eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox, if you want to jump in, it's
still an opportunity.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
You can jump in.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Chris rob G is the is the Lakers guy?

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Well, he's an anti Clipper.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
I know he is so excited. What do you see
rob G when you look?

Speaker 5 (17:57):
He loves it.

Speaker 13 (17:58):
Well, first off, I resent that remark because I said
before the season that the Lakers' biggest threats in the
Western Conference where the Nuggets and the Clippers.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
But you still ain't feeling the Clippers at all.

Speaker 13 (18:10):
And no current version of the Clippers is in big
trouble one thousand percent because if they lose home court
in Round one and it looks like they're going to
at this rate, it'd be Pelicans and Clippers at the
four or five matchups. New Orleans and the playoffs is
all about matchups, and New Orleans is uniquely built to
match up with the team like the Clippers, because the
Clippers Tyleru, you know, is an upper echelon coach. But

(18:33):
one fault he does have is he loves to go
small when he doesn't have to. And one issue that
his veteran team has, which is surprising given that they
got Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, is they unnecessarily give
up on switches all the time, like Lebron when they
play the Lakers. The reason why you're able to come
back in that fourth quarter because he's like, all right,
bring this guy on the screen. They're gonna switch it

(18:54):
like they always do because they're lazy and I'm just
gonna pick them apart. And so if you're small and
switching like that when you're playing a team like New
Orleans has three shooters at all times and Zion who
can bully his way to the basket, they're just a
bad matchup for the Clippers. The New Orleans has won
three of the four by average of double digits. So
I don't know if you're a Clippers, then how you

(19:16):
can feel good about I can't help it that I
got so much knowledge basketball.

Speaker 7 (19:25):
But last night after that Clipper game, I know that
he was anti Clippers and he's a big Laker homer
because I think he needed baby oil and a cigarette after.

Speaker 13 (19:34):
That watching that game, like I like watching basketball, and
seeing the Pacers on the second out of a back
to back run the Clippers out.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
Of the embarrassing.

Speaker 13 (19:45):
Was embarrassing because there's no good reason for that to happen,
and the way they did it was so rudimentary. It
was high pick and roll with Haliburton over and over
and over and over.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
And they would you go away from it, rob G.

Speaker 13 (20:00):
But it's like there's no want to on their team,
like the James Harden poor you know, personality character issues
have kind of bled over to the team, and Kawhi
is too quiet to say anything, and Paul George has
never been a vocal guy, so.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
You know, when those.

Speaker 13 (20:17):
Bad vibes are out there, there's nothing to stop it.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Yeah, it's looking bad, but we'll see. Like I said,
everything can.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
Always bounce back.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
Or is interesting because obviously CJ.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
McCollum is an experienced player, but they're young, and you know,
half the teams in this field are young, and so
all of those teams we have to see what they
can do. But certainly they can win around. I mean,
we're not talking about them winning the championship, but you're young,
you can still win around or two. So all right,
it is the eye couple Chris and Rob Trollin' Roller

(20:53):
with Martin Weiss is around the corner.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
But first, Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk
lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Mark Weis, Tom Brady, he's done. Aaron Rodgers did not
have a Pro Bowl seasons?

Speaker 8 (21:19):
He did?

Speaker 5 (21:20):
It's trolling or rolland.

Speaker 12 (21:23):
You got me?

Speaker 4 (21:24):
But you're on Milwaukee Talk.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Is this the worst song the worst phone in North America?

Speaker 8 (21:32):
All right, well, are you guys done? Or is your
clinic because I'm kind of trolling.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Roll before before we get controlling and rolling unless you're
bringing him up in this your thoughts on JJ McCarthy, Yes,
all of a sudden, you never miss you get home Mark.

Speaker 8 (21:48):
I don't.

Speaker 12 (21:49):
I don't see it.

Speaker 8 (21:50):
I don't know what other people are seeing. JJ McCarthy
to me is a second round pickt Beth and the
idea that he's the way people are talking about here,
you would think that he was like panics are nicked,
like his production last season, which obviously it wasn't. And
I just want to say, if if Jim Harball likes

(22:10):
him so dogall much, why don't you draft Trey jumpson
Herbert and draft him that The way he talking about
him is like like he's just.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
He's probably trying to get somebody to draft him, so
they leave a receiver on the board for him, which
is smart.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
Stat him up and trick somebody into doing it. Exactly.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
I ain't mad at him if that's what he's doing.

Speaker 12 (22:31):
I mean, that's a lot going on.

Speaker 5 (22:33):
But no, bro, we're with you. We're with you. If
he was so great, Jim Harball did't have him throw
the football, right, that's the it's look.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
I mean, like Rob and I've said, We've seen a
lot of quarterbacks come out of nowhere and or just
not have sensational college careers and be great in the pro.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
So I'm not totally shooting it down.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
But a red flag is that Harvall didn't use him
a lot of Mischigan to throw the football.

Speaker 8 (22:58):
It's shade and will less to me, Like.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
I don't think the book is written on Levis.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
That's only putting a lot around him this year to
see what he can do in Tennessee.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
I'll talk about strictly in tims with a draft type.
He was hyped up and he's like, oh, he might
go top three, might go talk about he's the second
round pick.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Like yeah, it could be yeah, But anyway.

Speaker 8 (23:21):
You got trolling on rolling on the couple. If Robert
Griss liked the story, you're in a roll sound and
if they don't, and if they don't, you hit a troll.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
One oh many.

Speaker 8 (23:33):
The Boston Celtics has been running laps around the Eastern
Conference this season, but last night not so much. Celtics
blew a thirty thirty three zero thirty point leads cut
a Hawk for without all star point guard Trey Young.
Chris trolling on rolling. This Celtics loss is concerning for

(23:53):
their championship kids.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
I'm a trolling oh many And now I get what
you're saying. Where you're going because and I've said this before,
You've heard me, Rob's heard me.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
They rely too.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Much on the three point shot. And what we at
one point they missed what sixteen straight at the end
of the shot clock, so they went, when you live
and die by the three, and they're a great three
point shooting team, you can be prone to these types
of swings. So that was obviously an aberration, you know,
blowing a thirty point lead. But I just don't think

(24:31):
they need to rely on the three pointer as much
as they do. It's a weapon, use it, but when
you're cold, you got guys that are capable of doing
some other things and getting buckets other ways. And I
they think they should use this as a learning experience.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
What was what was it again? I'm sorry the question?

Speaker 8 (24:50):
The question was, is this roll in the Celtics loss
is concerning for their championship?

Speaker 7 (24:57):
I'm trolling it, oh many. I just want to make
sure I get the wording right. No, you know, you
want to panic over a game in March. It's a
terrible loss, but remember the playoffs of four out of seven,
not a singular game. If this was March madness, maybe
I would be but no, four out of seven. I

(25:17):
think that they can bounce back and beat most teams,
even if they have a stinker and mixed in.

Speaker 8 (25:22):
There troller rolling a couple of Fox Sports Radio and
the Patriots. We're one of the best teams in the
NFL throughout Tom Brady and Bill Pelichick's tenure in New England.
But Robert Krab must have forgotten half of that equation
because Belichick has been largely forgotten. In the Dynasty documentary
that's on Apple TV for What is Worth, Krab says

(25:43):
he's disappointed in how the documentary turned out. However, his
production company produced the documentary. So Chris trolling or rolling
with Robert krabts quote disappointment.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
I'm trolling it, oh man.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Your response, it's your production company, Rob, I get it.
I mean it sounds like he didn't watch it, you know,
to clear it before it was made or finalized. I
understand you run businesses. You can't You're not gonna look
at everything, but something. I gotta be honest of this magnitude.

(26:22):
He really should have watched it. He really should have
watched it, and I believe he probably is a bit
like some people probably think. No, he did it on purpose.
He wanted to kill Belichick, Okay, whatever I believe he feels.
You know, like, man, I wish it could have been
a little more positive. But at the end of the day,
that's your fault. It's like the head coach. You might

(26:43):
not have known what the assistant coach did. Maybe he
did it, you know, without your knowledge and went behind
your back or whatever. But at the end of the day,
you are responsible, and Robert Kraft is responsible for what
his production company puts out.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
YEP, I'm with you trolling.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
It, oh man.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
And here's the other thing.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
You got some of the best Patriots players, Chris, they're
saying that it ain't legit, you know what I mean?
Like I saw Rodney Harrison and some other uh former Patriots.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
Who are like, dude, what what what is this? Like?

Speaker 7 (27:19):
Like we were there, we played you know, Bill wasn't perfect,
But were you trying to act like a.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Right you Look, we've all had hard coaches, hard bosses, whatever,
But if you had great success.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
You know you can overlook some things.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
Right.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
They were like, this is not all bad.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
It can't be all bad. So, yeah, it's a mistake.

Speaker 8 (27:40):
Troller rowing a couple of Fox Sports Radio Christmas Day
used to mean three things, going to church, opening presence,
and then racing home to watch the Knicks and everybody
else in the NBA. Well not so fast, because the
NFL is now creeping on the NBA's blocks. They a
now today they will be games on Christmas, despite Christmas

(28:03):
being on a Wednesday. They don't play football on Wednesdays,
but now they will be playing at least two games
on Christmas. Chris trolling on rolling the NFL on Christmas
Day on a Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
I mean, I'm rolling with it. Everybody knows how much
I love the NBA. I the NBA with the I
feel bad that the NFL has taken Christmas. If they
put great games on like last year, who was it?
Was it Baltimore and San Francisco?

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Right right? Who's not watching that?

Speaker 1 (28:42):
And so I feel bad for the NBA that the
NFL is taking Christmas. But I gotta be honest, if
it's good games on, I mean I'm gonna be watching.
So it is what it is.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Christmas.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Don't feel even if it's on a Wednesday, It's not
gonna feel like a Wednesday, that's the thing. It's gonna
feel like a hot an off day, like almost like
a Sunday. I just hope Rob that they will give
those two teams or Howard four teams. I guess that
Sunday before off that's cruel to have them play, you know, like,

(29:17):
what would that be three days rest or something that's ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (29:20):
So it would be Saturday and Wednesday, right, So.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
They gonna play Saturday and with I mean, that's still.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Well, I'm trolling it, oh man.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
I just think at some point, if it was, if
if Christmas fell on their natural days that they play,
I'm cool with it. If it was the Sunday or
Monday Chris that we saw, wasn't Christmas on Monday this year?

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Or was it Sunday?

Speaker 7 (29:46):
It was a Monday Monday, That's what I thought, Monday night,
but that fit in with Monday night football, do you
know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (29:51):
On Christmas Night?

Speaker 7 (29:53):
Wednesday is out of pocket and I just think that
this is overstepping their bounds.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
They don't need to do this.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
If it was if it was Sunday or Monday or
even Thursday Christa where they have traditionally had games, I
could buy into it. A Wednesday in the middle of
the week feels weird. It feels forced, and I don't
like it.

Speaker 8 (30:13):
Man, right, I'm tracking the NFL because you want to
go ahead and do this funny acting kickoff where you
got all these players lined up while they're taking away
any chance at a surprise onside kick, and your argument
is player safety, and then you turn around on the
shame just forty eight hours later and you turn around

(30:34):
and come out with this whole NFL on a Wednesday.
I'm tracking the NFL and ride the goodell the player safety.
Don't get me wrong, it's of paramount importance, but they
use it as an excuse.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
They don't care.

Speaker 7 (30:47):
Yeah, they don't care. But and I understand the game.
Martin grew up in. Martin was born in New Orleans,
right in Louisiana. So your one Super Bowl came on
that on side kick. So I at the feeling, I understand.

Speaker 8 (31:03):
That was supposed to be a shot or what. But
you know what, No, that a shot.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
It's true though, and not how they don't think he
was killing that he was killing the hypocrisy. I'm not
killing I like the new one side lady, new kickoff rule.

Speaker 8 (31:19):
I can't say, Chris, what happened to your downtown with
two minutes left, touchdown.

Speaker 12 (31:24):
Just give it up.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
You know, look, how many teams did you see get
on side kicks this year?

Speaker 8 (31:32):
It was only thank you?

Speaker 4 (31:34):
All right? It is not like everybody not gonna know anyway.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Oh we gotta tell them they know anyway you line
up like you're doing it on side kicks. Stop it.
It's not that big of a deal. But the hypocrisy,
I get it, all right. That's our man, Martin Weiss.
Check him out here on Fox Sports Radio every Saturday.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
What is it?

Speaker 5 (31:55):
Five show?

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Now, it's it's it's it's different and around what time
is it's two thirty to eight thirty?

Speaker 5 (32:03):
I think what time is?

Speaker 4 (32:04):
What time is?

Speaker 8 (32:05):
Yeah? Five to eighth scip eight to eleven Eastern. I'll
also be doing updates for you guys tomorrow and they'll
be on the show, hosting with.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Chris Birthday, one of his many off days. Unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (32:19):
Tracks? You got? My goodness?

Speaker 7 (32:21):
Hey, I'm going to opening days Houston. I gotta go
down the opening day. That's why I'll be yeah, all right,
yeah you had to go. I'm sure they word for
MLB bro to be down there.

Speaker 8 (32:33):
It wasn't gonna play the games if he didn't.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Go right right.

Speaker 7 (32:35):
Hey, hey, Chris, the Yankees got five bros. MLB bros
on that I have to be there. Yes, the Yankees
have five?

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Is that the most? That might be the most in
the league right now, the.

Speaker 7 (32:45):
Yankees, and I think the Nationals have the most. But
the Yankees have five MLB bros.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
So, yes, that's about eighty percent of the black players
in the league, isn't it.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Whatever? All right?

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Thank you, Martin Weiss Moro couple coming away. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
All right, it is the odd couple Chris Brusar and
Rob Parker live from the tire Rag dot com studios.
And in basketball, a successful game plan starts with the
right players. Same thing at Tractor Supply, they bring hustling
heart too, and that's why they are the best, and
that's what sets them apart. So lace up your sneakers

(33:34):
and make the winning play for by heading to your
local Tractor Supply store today. Rob, let me ask you
this about the Jets. Now, I don't know if you
heard Rob Aaron Rodgers is not going to be the
next Vice president of the United States.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
Christ you know, come on, just said this real quick.
That's why when we talked about this. Remember, I was
just like.

Speaker 5 (33:58):
Robert F. Kennedy Junior. He got what he wanted, which was.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
More attention and his name mentioned Chris than than he
could have ever paid for, you know what i mean.
When they are with that out there, you're all right
that that's what that was about. And he picked some
tech woman and who nobody unless sure the tech world.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
Has ever heard of, like like, I.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Don't know he was, I agree with like he threw
Rogers and Jesse the body even there to get you know,
some noise, and a lot of people he had asked
turned him down already. And I think it was I mean,
his name's been out there, but I do think he
did it to get a little more and right, But
I'm just saying he got a lot of attention.

Speaker 7 (34:39):
As what I'm saying, you know what I mean, And
and that's the stuff you look for. You leake those.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
Out and then and then and then he basically picks
a no name, right.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Right right, Okay, no, no, no doubt, So it will
not be Aaron Rodgers. But I want to ask you
this because I think the Jets have had it good offseason.
Now they got some guys that have had injury issues.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Mike Williams.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
Oh, did they get a new coach?

Speaker 4 (35:06):
Well, that's what I'm leading into with you. But they
have some players.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Mike Williams is very good when he's healthy, all right,
So he's got to stay healthy as a receiver. Tyron
Smith obviously a future Hall of Famer, but gott to
stay healthy, the left tackle from Dallas. They got a
few other guys, a couple of other offensive linemen. Like
they've had a really nice offseason. I think on paper
they look good, and I feel like rob is really

(35:34):
on Aaron Rodgers if they say healthy, If they're healthy
and they don't make a little noise, be in the
playoff hunt, maybe make the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
It's because Aaron.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Rodgers is no longer what he once was, or even close,
no longer a very good quarterback. But I want to
ask you this, who do you think is the feeling
the most pressure under the most pressure this year. Robert Salad,
the head coach, or Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 5 (36:05):
To me, it's the coach.

Speaker 7 (36:07):
He's the unproven factor if I just I'm not sure.
I'm just not sure how good he is in the circumstance. Obviously,
Aaron Rodgers coming off an injury, he's gonna be forty
years old, they'll be you know, you got to look
and see what he's doing. But there are other areas
and other things that go with that team as well.

(36:29):
And if he's not protected on the offensive line, Chris,
there's nothing he can do. It doesn't even matter. Like
if they don't protect that guy. We talked about this
before the injury, didn't We talk about it like yeah,
I mean.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
Like what are they doing? Like what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (36:45):
We didn't know they were gonna get hurt four snaps
into the season, but we knew there was an.

Speaker 5 (36:50):
Issue there, And how didn't they not know that? How?
So I think it's Robert Sola.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I'm actually with you because and I stand by my
statement that we'll see what Aaron Rodgers has left this
year because everything else looks pretty good.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Is he close to what he used to be?

Speaker 5 (37:09):
That said, rob.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Aaron Rodgers has an excuse if he doesn't play well
this year. Guess what, Rob, he's forty, right, you know
what I'm saying, He's forty and and that's not gonna
hurt his legacy at all. He's still gonna be a
first ballot Hall of Famer. He still wont at all
time greatest quarterbacks ever, periold right, absolutely doesn't go away

(37:35):
at all.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
Salah. His jobs on the line.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
And Rob, probably his career as a head coach, coach,
a head coach, He'll get a defensive job somewhere, maybe
a coordinator or some other defensive coach. But yeah, his
career as a head coach would be done. And so
I am totally with you on that. And AFC is
tough man.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
They got their work cut out for him, even though
they have.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
A good offseason. I salute them for that. All right,
it's the eye couple, Christ and Rod. We are signing
off here on Fox Sports Radio, but keeping lock.
