for Tyson Toower of Trivia. That'll be fun as always,
so keep it locked for that.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
But in the meantime, Rob on this TV theme.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Song Thursday, let's get to let's talk about the MVP
race for the NBA. I am an official voter. The
ballots will be coming this week. It's gonna be interesting. Rob.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Usually you have a week or maybe two.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I know, it seems like you get a nice little
chunk of time usually to do your votes. But now Rob,
with the new sixty five game requirement, where you have
to play at least sixty five games to be eligible
for the awards, it's the league obviously has to wait
to see who's eligible for the awards. And so Rob,

(01:52):
we're going to have anywhere from seventeen to like twenty
four hours from the time we received the ballot to
put our votes in.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
So it's gonna be a lot quicker.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Obviously, you can you can prepare yourself, you know, earlier,
but yeah, it's gonna be a lot different.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Start doing your homework, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Let's plenty of time because but it's.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Usually a lot long, Like even the things you vote for,
I'm sure.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
You get a lot longer. Yeah yeah, yeah, it's a longer.
Win get to really marinate on it.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
But anyway, if look, Nikola Jokic is going to win,
I mean, barring like something changing drastically, Rob, We've seen
the polls.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
The straw poles.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
One hundred of the voters, and it's only it's about
one hundred and thirty voters.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
He had five.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, he got eighty five out of the hundred. And
you know what, I'm fine with him winning it. He's
had a fantastic season. I would not have an issue
with that. Interestingly, some people do. Gilbert Arenas Rob said
that Jokic was the worst MVP in the last forty years. Now,

(03:09):
let me clean it up, because a lot of people,
you know, are going at Gilbert for that.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
If you read his comments in the context and everything.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Rob, he's saying that most most, not all, but most
of the winners have been on teams that finished first
or second in their conference.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
And so when he.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Says Jokics was the worst, he's talking more about him
being on a sixth seed when he won the MVP
a couple of years ago, and he was he was
the first sixth seed outside of Russell Westbrook and and
Arenas brought this up. Westbrook run it as a sixth seed, Rob,

(03:51):
because he averaged a triple double, which we never thought
we'd see after Oscar Robertson did it in nineteen sixty
two and Westbrook and it's like, oh my gosh, I
voted for Westbrook that year, even though they were a
sixth seed. Usually, I'm like, you gotta get fifty wins
or more. But there have been a few that didn't

(04:12):
win fifty. Yoki, Rob hasn't won fifty doinars. One year
he got it during the pandemic season. They didn't win fifty,
but they would have been on a fifty win pace,
fifty plus win pace over eighty two games. But Kevin Hart, now,
you know, take this for what it's worth. He's a comedian.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
But Rob he said this, and Rob G was this
on ESPN that he said this? All right?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
He said this, Rob, the NBA cannot give the Joker
any more MVPs. It's not good for the MVP or
for the NBA. Now, Rob G, did you see it?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
What do he mean?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Did he elaborate because what do he mean by it's
not good for the NBA? Or did he did he
share that?

Speaker 5 (04:57):
I mean, I didn't get to watch the whole broadcast
because was on during our shit, but in the clips
that were shared, it was, you know, Kevin Hard and
Kevin Hart trying to make light of a situation, and
you know, just the idea that a guy like Nikola
Jokic of all people, unathletic, you know, not exactly.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Won a championship. Has he ever heard of Larry Bird?

Speaker 5 (05:19):
But you know, I mean guys who have three m vps.
There's very few of them in NBA history, So that
was kind of what he here.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
You've got Kareem with six, Jordan with five? Is Russell joint?
Looked if you can't, Robbie while I'm talking about this,
looked this. I think Russell has five, Jordan has five,
h Lebron has four, and then Magic and Bird and
Moses Malone have three.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Let me know if I'm missing anybody, and you will
how many is will?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
He's got four? Other than that, you're spot on? Yeah?
And Bill Russell had five? Yes? Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
So some people are saying rob Jokic doesn't belong in
the three, you know, category of guys to win three.
I actually think he does. I have no problem He's
gonna win it. I have no problem with that. I'll
tell you the moment who my vote will go to,
or at least That's where I'm leaning right now. I

(06:24):
think he's better than Moses Malone, as great as Moses is,
and that's not a slight to Moses because Moses is phenomenal,
But I think Jokic is better, and so I Rob,
I think he's it's fine for him to be in
that category of three. And who knows, we'll see how

(06:45):
many rings he wins. His numbers are gonna be ridiculous.
We'll see how many rings he went, rings he wins,
and then we can talk about, you know, how does
he stack up against maybe some of the other players.
But also, Rob, MVP is not the only you know,
way we measured these guys. Shack only has one, he's better.

(07:06):
I put him ahead of Yokic. Kobe only has one.
You know, Tim Duncan only has two. You put him
ahead of Yokic. So that's not the only thing. So
if he wins it, he wins it.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Yeah, I think people are are are over analyzing it.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
I really do. I think.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
They're trying to fit him in a box. Well, he
can't have more than this guy. But this is a
different league. And the things that they value Chris and
what he does is he what he does? And now
right so and his team wins games, and his team
has won a championship, and I think any question marks

(07:51):
that anybody had about him, just Kendrick Perkins saying he
was just stat padding or whatever. He didn't stap pad
stat pad during the postseason.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
During the championship, he had a historic croup Will double
during the for the.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Entire postseason exactly, he had a historic run.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
So this was against the best of the best, right, Chris,
You're not just filling out stats against also rans and
all the bad to other twenty bad teams in the league. No,
this was the best teams in the postseason. So I
think people gotta let that go. And you and you
just have to understand it's a regular season award. As

(08:32):
you said, Chris, the Shaq and Kobe they xd each
other out. They were on the same team, right, They
each only got one. It could have been different. Michael Jordan,
I don't know what year he didn't win the MVP,
but he only has five. Like it doesn't it's not
the end all be all, So I think he's gonna
win convincingly, and I think it's I think it's a combination, Chris,

(08:56):
of last year's narrative against him his great postseason. The
Nuggets are the number one seed coming off of championship
and he's put up his same numbers. They don't have
to be sexy or be the same numbers are sexy,
you know, but I mean the same numbers that he's
twelve and nine, right, but the same numbers he keeps

(09:18):
putting up that people that he's one other MVPs with,
like like he won it with the same numbers.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
And now you're gonna say he's on good eno lesser numbers.
He's actually wanted with lesser numbers he's got.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
These are better last year. They're better than summer.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Not maybe not last year he didn't want he had
good year, No I know, but yeah, his numbers are
better than at least one of his MVP years. Okay,
so he I mean, look, he's gonna win it. I
will have no problem with him winning it. Let me
give it to you quickly. Rob his first MVP, he
averaged twenty six points, ten point eight rebounds, eight point

(09:57):
three assists. This year, he's averaging twenty six points, a
couple tenths of a point more than he did that year,
twelve point four rebounds, which is more than he had
his first MVP, and nine assists, again more second MVP
twenty seven points, thirteen point eight rebounds, seven point nine assists,
So the numbers are terrific. I'm a voter rob officially,

(10:22):
and I look at four criteria mainly one individual stats
and your play dominance impact, two the teams win lost record, three,
your supporting cast, and for historical precedent and historical ramifications.

(10:46):
My votes right now at five, Yannis at four, Jason
Tatum at three, Shay Gilders, Alexander at two, Nikola Jokic
at one, Luka Doncic now Dallas is the fifth seed.
Some people might say, oh, he's fifty. Well, Jokic won

(11:08):
it as a sixth seed, and I won't even bring
up Westbrook because we know he won it because of
the triple double. But Jokicic himself won it as a
sixth seed. I also think Luca's numbers, the traditional numbers,
are probably i'd say slightly better than Yokic, just he's
leading the league and scoring at thirty four points a game.

(11:29):
He's second and assist at nine point eight, and he's
in the top twenty in rebounds at nine and he's
doing it efficiently. Not as efficiently obviously as Jokicch's a
big but he's shooting better from three gets to the
foul line more his team, Rob, they got fifty wins,
so they're winning a lot. In fact, in the games

(11:52):
they both of them play, Jokic's team is on wins
or a fifty seven win pace out of eighty two games.
Lucas wins in a fifty four win pace out of
eighty two games this year, and Jokic, I think most
people would agree, has the better supporting cast. So I think, like,

(12:12):
like I said, I think Jokic is gonna win it,
but I think Rob, I agree with you, And I said,
this is a.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Week or two ago.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Jokic started the season with an advantage, with a head
start because of the playoffs last year and because of
a lot of people felt he should have won it.
And actually some people think race was a factor because
of Kendrick Perkers made some comments and also Rob. Analytically,
his numbers are a little bit better than Lucas and

(12:43):
a lot of the new voters, the younger guys, Rob,
some of them are almost entirely analytics driven.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Chris, we talked about it already, like they followed though.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
That's why I was a little surprised last year because
his numbers were better than the year before, right if
I remember correctly, and he didn't win. And I'm not
saying that Embiid didn't have a great year either, Chris
or so. I'm not saying like it was outrageous that
EMBD won, but it was weird that he had better

(13:14):
numbers than the year before when he won the MVP,
and then he didn't win it, and it was just
a real narrative around him where people seem to be
hell bent not to let him win three MVPs in
a row no matter what. And now I just think
after that playoff run that we saw and the questions

(13:35):
about Canny win big have been erased.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
And I'm telling you.

Speaker 6 (13:40):
For Luca, Chris, it might be that for Luca, Luca
might need a hell of a postseason to get people
to be on board because I think.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Because last year, remember they didn't even make the playoffs, right,
That's what That's what I'm saying, Like.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
He may have started with the deficit, and.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
That's what I'm saying, Chris, like he needs that kind
of a run before people. Will you know, you vote
for him? I don't know. Will he have four first
place votes? I doubt it.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I think you'll get it more than that. I think
he'll get more than that.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I don't think he'll win. I don't think he'll come
close to winning.

Speaker 6 (14:14):
But I think when I saw the other one, Rob,
g do you in the straw pole to the have
one because it was like eighty five ten?

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Well he had six, he had six.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
I've had few people hit me like, yeah, I think
Lucas should get it.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
You know.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
So now these may not be voters, but there are
people around the league, but yeah, I know, I think
Luca's just been for now.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
They all have.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
And that's the thing too, Rob, is a lot of
guys h every year, the all time greats that are
playing in a general era, a given era.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
They always have great years.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Carmelone had a great year every year, Sody Jordan, Sody Barkley,
Sodi Ewing, Sodi Elijah like and Rob. Historically you said
Jordan only won five. He could have won more. And
that's why when I say taking history history into account,
I like, if someone said today, you know what, I'm

(15:12):
just giving it to the best player in the league period,
I don't think that would be fair because we're gonna
measure your MVPs against the other players in the past,
and we didn't just give it when Jordan was in
the league.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
We just didn't give it to the best player every year.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
We when Lebron was in you know, was at his best,
we didn't just say best player in the year. If
you give it to the best player in the league
every year, Rob, I mean, like, not who's the best?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
You almost don't have to play the games you can.
I don't. I don't think. I don't think that that
should be the critter, right, Like I'm not.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
I think Yoga is the best player in the league,
but that doesn't mean I'm gonna give him the MVP
every year.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
But he's had a very an MVP worthy season.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
I do think you'll win it, But I think Luca's
been MVP worthy as well, and number one in points,
number two and assist DA's ballin', so I gotta give
him his props for that, all right? A seven seven
ninety nine on Fox, You'll turn the way in who's
your MVP?

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Yo, kicch Luca?

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Say someone else?

Speaker 1 (16:20):
And do you have any issues if Jokic wins a
third in four years?

Speaker 4 (16:25):

All right, it's the A Couple of Chris Bruce ar
Rob Parker A seven seven ninety nine on Fox. We're
at the tirerack dot Com studios. You turn the way in.
Who's your MVP for the NBA this year? Luca, Yo,
kicch someone else your thoughts?

Speaker 3 (18:03):
All right? Here we go, big finish Alex k r
P And.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Who was saying that originally?

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Whatever? Chris, I don't want to hear what you gotta say. Scott,
I'm not falling for that.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Scott in North Carolina Shore The High Couple, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
What's up, Scott?

Speaker 2 (18:30):
What's up?

Speaker 9 (18:30):
Chris? The Robbs again?

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Yes, sir, to have you?

Speaker 9 (18:36):
Yeah. I feel like in this situation with the MVP,
we kind of giving it to the joker with like
the fault. I feel like the most valuable player it
gotta be Shake gives us out of Alexander where he's
carrying that scene to the top three seed. You know,
you take him off that, then that team is not

(18:58):
the same. So I mean, my gotta be the MVP.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
He has a he has an argument I think where
he comes up short and his numbers are great, but
they're not comparable in the assists and the rebounds. Now
you might say, well he's a guard, Lucas a guard too.
You might say, well he's smaller. Okay, but Lucas averaging
basically four more assists a game or three more assists

(19:26):
a game, So statistically he comes up a little short compared,
but it's.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Going to measure up. Chriss just not.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
But he's he's had He's had a tremendous season. That's
not even to take anything away from him. But Jabbari
in Michigan, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
What's up? Jabari?

Speaker 10 (19:45):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Guys?

Speaker 9 (19:46):
How's it going?

Speaker 10 (19:49):
Just just got back from Theists game? And don't tell
me if we don't have man, I know they.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Lost, Yes, yes, we weren't. We weren't guessing whether or
not they want to right.

Speaker 10 (20:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, hopefully they do they do better next year,
but yeah, but this season, I'm I'm definitely gonna go
into Kodokic. I just think that when I think of
most value play, most valuable player, I think about what
you what you can do for your team on and
off the court, but also how you impact and how
you actually make your teammates better. I think we can

(20:24):
all say that probably Jokis's greatest asset, it's passing the ball.
I mean, it's like so amazing how he can impact
the game so many ways. And his like I said,
his numbers are up there, and the fact that they
are the number one sees of right now, and I say,
if they can stay stay there, and I think they're
they're gonna stay there anyway, and the way how they're playing,
I think that with our question, he should be the MVP.

(20:45):
And the great thing about the Nuggets, and I just
look at the Nuggets and even back in twenty twenty
when when I lost the bet unfortunately, uh because because
of the Nuggets, I said that the one what makes
them dangerous is that they're like golden They in their
prime button but don't need a breeze to come back.

(21:05):
That's what makes them so dangerous. They can beat you
in multiple ways. And I say that back in twenty
two weeks. And the fact that the way how they're
playing right now, I mean, it's just amazing how they're
how they're playing, especially Yoki and him being an all
time great, is like they're very special. So, yes, what
our question? He is definitely d NDP.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
Yeah, all right, Yeah, I'm with you. Jabari Ramone in Indianapolis.
You're on the eye couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, buddy?

Speaker 11 (21:31):
Hey, what's tell my two favorite your three favorite people today?
I'll say, and I'll run it down quick. The reason
why him be one last year Chris, You guys an
watching as long as I have, we got we keep
forgetting about the defensive side of the ball, and Joe
LMB impacts the game on defense way better than Jokodosy
was more shots, he affected more shots, and also head

(21:55):
to head, he destroyed them. He destroyed them this year,
although he did take that game off and which I
didn't like. I wanted him to come back and play
that game to give Joker a chance, but last year
to destroy him too. So I think emb even though
he won't get it to me, and bid is the
m v P this year.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
I mean this year, v you couldn't vote, You would
not for him this year.

Speaker 11 (22:16):
Like that, I'm saying, if he would have been healthy,
he was.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Playing so well that he had overcome the head start
Jokic had to start the season. Eb wasn't one pace
to beat the MVP. But yet now of course he can't.
But yeah, I mean, here's the difference though, And I agree.
I took MB's defense into account when I voted for
him last year. But Jokic is not like a defensive liability.

(22:44):
His analytically, his defensive numbers are actually really great, but
I think they actually overstate how good he is defensively.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
But he's certainly not a weakness on that side of
the ball.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
All right, it's the eye Couple of Tyson's Tower of
Trivia is around the corner.

Speaker 3 (25:49):

Speaker 5 (25:54):
For more than twenty years, Tiger was the face of
Blank Golf, who back in twenty sixty and announced they
weren't even gonna make golf equipment anymore.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Wow. All right, well, Luke, you're Rob.

Speaker 8 (26:08):
You're supposed to wait till next time. It's supposed to

Speaker 6 (26:29):
Oh, Chris yourself, one time I knew you're been doing this.
We've been doing this game for nine years. I want
Chris not to cheat for once.

Speaker 5 (26:40):
One time, just one one we go level number two.
As we mentioned, Tigers won fifteen career majors, three less
though than the all time leader, Jack Nicholas. Nicholas is
nickname back in the day and still is the Golden
blank ty Tiger.

Speaker 8 (26:59):
Alex, you ready hold on, Rob, I got this for you.
Real quick. Hold on, it's uh, Tiger's already things.

Speaker 3 (27:10):

Speaker 8 (27:19):
Here we go, Alex, never remember my hand motion? All right,
Yogi bear, there you go. A clue, Baby, what a clue?
Give him around?

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Everybody knows jogi bag. All right, that's it's herbie. We're
doing that that jogi barrow alright.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
Level number three, the Tiger Woods Edition attaches tower at
Trivia back to Chris.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Chris.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Tiger is the only player in golf history to hold
all four major titles at the same time. Feet that
became known as the Tiger Blank.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Here we go, Alex.

Speaker 8 (27:58):
Okay, I think, okay, dunk slam. Yeah, let's go, baby.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
That's right. I was gonna say that breakfast Say what
Denny words?

Speaker 8 (28:13):
That's two words.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
Rob would have taken the hit just to get that
clue out the joke.

Speaker 8 (28:20):
Okay, here we go this one today.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Thank you. This next one is gonna blow your mind, Alex.

Speaker 5 (28:26):
Because Tiger was so dominant in the first decade of
his career that many PGA courses decided to lengthen the
course in an effort to blank proof them and promote
a more level blankfield.

Speaker 8 (28:40):
Flank proof.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Alex, are you ready?

Speaker 8 (28:44):
Okay, I'm ready, brom.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Uh Tony.

Speaker 8 (28:54):
Tiger Tiger proof.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
That's right. It was so obvious. I thought I was
gonna catch you slipping there For a second. I was
trying to figure out, like you got yogi.

Speaker 8 (29:06):
I was like, I was a little scared. There, I
got at a little.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Steve was worded, you were going to get it. He
had this look on his face like, thank you. All right?
Level number five Tiger.

Speaker 8 (29:22):
Activate his glutes?

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Aren't activists terrible? All right?

Speaker 5 (29:25):
Level number five back to Chris perfect game going so far?
Tiger played his college golf at Stanford, home of the
Blank and their mask guy, interestingly enough, is actually a tree.

Speaker 8 (29:36):
Oh gosh, are you ready? I hope so Chris, here
we go, please help please?

Speaker 4 (29:43):
I just what was what are you into?

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Alex?

Speaker 10 (29:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (29:47):
No, no, no no.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
They were just talking about.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
No. I was just the word that.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
I think we're just talking, just talking between like that.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Do we like that?

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Here we go, Alex? Oh, here we go. Bishop, I'm quitting.
Bishop Tyler wouldn't like that. In Pope. That is incorrect
now we should skip Rob for saying that he's quitting.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
I guess I want goes out.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Come on, Rob? Did he really quit?

Speaker 8 (30:38):
Rob?

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Are you okay? Go ahead.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
You had a chance to steal right here. You gotta
get it, so let's do it. We're looking for the
mascot or the Stanford blank. Their mascot is a tree.

Speaker 8 (30:50):
Okay, Bishop, Bishop, don't don't.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Don't think of my clue. Pope giving his own answer
back to him. Next level stuff. You're deep, you're galaxy
braining it right now, you're thinking about it.

Speaker 8 (31:06):
What are you doing right now?

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Would you.

Speaker 8 (31:09):
Know what else is in there? Cardinal?

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Wow o, my goodness, he's crazy.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Pope. Cardinals all in the same neighborhood. Hashtag blest. Not
even a worship Wednesday?

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Right now?

Speaker 3 (31:28):
That's right? Okay, here we go, last done. We gotta go.

Speaker 11 (31:31):
Job.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
If you get this one, it's over. Okay, you're up
twenty nine to twenty. Shout out Tom Looney. Al right,
if you get this one, it's over.

Speaker 10 (31:39):
Rob.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Tiger Wood's former golf coach, Hank Kane, who's been our show,
wrote a best selling book about Tiger's rise and fall
from grace. It was a real page turner, and it
was called the Big Blank.

Speaker 11 (31:52):
Hey it's uh, it's Tiger.

Speaker 8 (31:55):
Hi, Tiger, thanks for calling me Tiger. I'd love you
being a guest on the show, Tiger.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
We didn't have call the r D back then. Tiger.

Speaker 8 (32:01):
Tiger has a swing feeling today in my swing. That's terrible. Oh,
he was, Okay, Tiger, what about the next one?

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Go ahead.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
I've been in a tournament where I swore Tiger was
hung over the times.

Speaker 8 (32:16):
Sorry, Tiger, here we go, all right, here we go.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
You ready?

Speaker 8 (32:22):
I'm ready? This whole time, I thought the Grand Slam,
you know, pit give me the clue again, Reggie or
the question.

Speaker 5 (32:33):
The name of the book by Tiger's former coach, Rise
and Fall was called the Big Blank.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Said one more time. He didn't hear it.

Speaker 8 (32:42):
The Big Blank kits swing.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
All right, here we go, the top may have to
go to overtime. Here we go, Here we go. The
segment we were going to, Yes you ready, yes, yes, yes,
there's been some elements not tell you.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Here we go, Here we go, okay, Rosie, alright, so
I can give it all I think, think, Alex, Okay, all.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Right, make.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
Make bounce the big Bounce is not. It sounds like
a seventies jam does win. No, you gotta get it.
Someone's gotta get this one. Whoever gets is gonna win. Okay, okay, Rob, please,
I need help.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
He didn't win. So what do we have? We think, Yeah,
if you want to forfeit, Chris, we can forfeit.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
No.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
I think it's you want to hear win, so miss
even if he misses. Even if he misses. It's a
good point. All right, So I couple keep it locked. No, no, no, no,
we gotta go to break. Let me don't bills to pay,
let me got Alex, let him Rob.

Speaker 5 (33:58):
Let me just say, we gotta play change your theme song.
I don't know if we can play Diddy anymore.

Speaker 8 (34:03):
This suggestion nobody new to you said it.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
That's another one. Uh's very problematic.

Speaker 8 (34:08):
You might be right, Rob, g well, right, that's the case.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
But until then, I'm gonna rock to it. Let's go,
come right, I'm standing up in the studio.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
We're live from thee tire Reck dot Com Studios, wrapping
up a TV theme song Thursday.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
All right, Rob Tiger.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
In the Masters, trying to win.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Where it being sixteenth Major? Right, this would be sixteen.
He's trying to get to eighteen with match Nicholas, Am
I correct?

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Good luck? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:01):
I mean I think I've I've certainly given up on
that one. But Rob g kind of give us the
rundown on how Tiger's.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
Doing.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
Yeah, well, Tiger Woods limped into augusta literally he talked
about who's always in pain and for a good reason.
Not only is he just injured, period, but he's either
withdrawn or missed the cut in four of his last
six starts, and the two times he finished were a
tie for forty fifth and forty seventh place overall. So
the fact that he's won under through thirteen on the

(35:34):
opening round is a very big deal. That is good, However,
given his history, given his injury situation, having to play
twenty three holes tomorrow could really wear him down, and
given all of the controversy surrounding the world of golf.
Just on Thursday, you had legends like Gary play or

(35:54):
Jack Nicholas all come out and say that this whole
PGA Tour live golf thing is a really bad thing
for the sport. How important is it that Tiger not
only make the cut but play through the weekend?

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Well, Rob, we talked the other day about how Tiger,
you know, a lot of people thought he would get
more African Americans into golf, which he certainly did, But
I mean at the professional level.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Like you have to start impact just we just haven't
seen it.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
We just haven't seen it on black golfers, not professional golfers.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
But you also, Rob, haven't seen it on the sport
as a whole.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Now it's still what it's always been when Tiger's not there,
which is, you know, a niche sport that the people
that are into golf love. But as far as capturing
the imagination of the nation bringing in casual fans, here
we are what twenty years later, essentially from when Tiger

(36:58):
was in his prime and still Rob, the biggest story
on in any major is Tiger, even though he has
like hardly any chance of winning. I get golf, you
can get hot, you have a great tournament no matter
your age.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
But Rob, I mean, it'd be a darn near sports
miracle if he wanted the Chris, this is how desperate
golf is for him to be involved.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
You know, when they put up the the uh, the
billboard of the event, he's always in there regardless, like
you know what I mean, Like he has so long
and you just talked about how many times he has
missed he's missed the cut or whatever, and he they
still put him in there because their hope and dream

(37:49):
is that maybe they'll track people. You know that Tiger's playing.
This is what they're still living in and they have
never really recovered. And when you think about the accident
he was and it's a miracle he's even out there.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
I never thought he'd play again. He was maged. You
got to get in the credit for that, right, Chris.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
He was magled in that absolutely, And that look that
is you don't want to pity him, you know what
I mean. You don't want to make him a pitiable
figure because he was a great champion. Arguably the goat
him or Nicholas whoever you want to pick, but he's
certainly in that. There's a discussion, but at this point, Rob, Yeah,

(38:31):
I hate to even just be like man the fact
that he's golfing is a victory, and it is, but
he doesn't feel that way, right because he's a competitor.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
He's been the best in the world. He doesn't want.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Those type of pats on the back and taps on
the head, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
It's good to see you out here. Just that is great.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
No, he wants to win, but unfortunately, Rob, I mean,
it just is what it is. And it's not likely
that Tiger. I mean, it'd be stunning if he won
another major.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
We'd all love it.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
The Masters would become the talk of the weekend if
he got to the final round, you know, day and
had a shot.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
But I don't see that happening.

Speaker 6 (39:17):
Yeah, I don't either. I just think, like the the
notion that people are holding on to is you never know, Chris,
you know what I mean, Like, like, no, I think
we do.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Not I think we do. No, That's exactly what it is, right,
You never know. That's the only thing.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
No, No, And I know you what, Rob, The fact
that no one has been able to kind of come
along and dominate the sport even close to.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
What he had he did, it tells you how good
Nicholas and Tiger were right.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Like no one since Tiger has come close to that
type of dominance right, not even close.

Speaker 4 (39:58):
Its hard to do, not even we thought, guys Rory
and others.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
No, never, all right, we out keep it lo
