Chris and Rob tell us if NBA players who couldn’t get their teams above the play-in deserve All-NBA consideration and debate whether Victor Wembanyama should win the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Award despite playing on one of the worst teams in the league. Plus, former NBA veteran and FOX Sports Radio NBA analyst Olden Polynice swings by to discuss what makes the play-in so exciting, whether the Los Angeles Lakers have what it takes to beat the Denver Nuggets should they meet in the first round, his expectations for Joel Embiid coming off a lengthy knee injury, Wemby’s DPOY candidacy and much more! Finally, the Odd Couple Callers bring the heat in this week’s edition of Trash Talk.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's get this, punnies, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
It is The Odd Couple. I'm Chris, He's Rob. We're
live all the way live, as they say, from the
tire rack dot Com studios, our number two of a
three hour show. This is a trash Talking Tuesday, which
means in about thirty five forty minutes you'll be able
to trash anyone or anything in the entire world of sports,

(00:56):
including the Odd Couple. Should you be so led them.
So get your takes ready again, thirty to forty seconds
to do your thing. Rob early on the Pelicans hanging
and more than hanging there leading the Lakers. I think
it's thirty one twenty six, but obviously a ton of

(01:17):
time to go and Rob years ago, and it wouldn't
obviously it wouldn't have been over. It's very close. But
years ago this league would have went men a lot
more than it means. Right now, you see so many
huge leads. You know, early just disappear with the three
point ball. So if you're a Pelicans fan, don't get

(01:37):
too excited. But right now they look pretty good. Rob
all the NBA. So I told you this year, you know,
I'm a voter, and this year, man, you usually get
about a week or two to pick your teams and
do your voting. Yeah, you said, it's way quicker, man.
They set out the ballots last night or should I

(01:59):
say this morning. It was around one am. Obviously I
was sleep it was around one am, but I knew
they had. The good thing is they alerted us last
week that hey, the ballots this year is gonna be
done differently because of the sixty five game rule. We
have to wait and see who's eligible for each award.
So this year you're only going to get They said

(02:22):
like seventeen to twenty four hours to vote. And they
said the vote the ballots might even come around one am,
so just be ready. And they did come around one am.
I woke up this morning in your mailbox. Yeah, it's
an email in the email, okay, And I was expecting it,

(02:43):
you know one of these days, you know, yesterday, today,
you know, tomorrow or whatever. And it came this morning
at one am and it was due at six pm
Eastern rot tonight. Yeah. So I you know, I had
basically picked mine my awards on Sunday and so I

(03:05):
was ready. But had they not given us that warning,
which was appropriate and obviously the right thing to do,
I probably would have waited because usually we used to
get you know, you'd get your ballots and then you
still have a week, week and a half something like that.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Only thing I'm gonna say here, here's my pushback. If
these games don't matter, then why shouldn't it. Why shouldn't
you have more time until the playoffs actually start?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Like what they say, this is not the playoffs? Was
it's not the playoffs or the regular season? I mean
these two Look honestly, these two games shouldn't change your vote,
to be honest. The okay, so you should have more
time to vote as well. Know, But what they's no,
usually they send the ballots out a lot earlier. No,

(03:49):
because play you know, you didn't have to play sixty
five games to be eligible, so they could send them
out in early April but now they had to wait
until they found out who played all the as you know,
enough games and n But remember, Rob, they give out
the awards during the playoffs, so the first award will

(04:11):
be given out I don't know, in a week, a
week and a half, two weeks. So that's why they're
doing it now. I think, Robin, you've heard me say
this before. What the NBA should do is have a
show on TNT like they do for the All Star Game.
You got Chuck and Shaq and Kenny and all those guys,

(04:31):
and you announced the awards on TNT the winners, and
then you have the guys on remote for interviews. That
would be great and that would end any confusion about
regular season award versus playoff one. You know what I mean?
What con who's confused? Well, a lot of people are confused.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Regular season award, they think, but they give somebody an
award Chris, if you win the finals MVP.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
So I don't understand how it's a regular I mean
logical that understand it, but maybe emotionally. Look when the
Western Conference and Eastern Conference finals are being played and
they announced the MVP, and in some cases that MVP
has been bounced in the first round. How many times

(05:17):
do you hear people ripping all wound and whoever's balling
in the playoffs, he should be the mvs. Lebron should
be the MVP, or you know, whoever should joke it
should be the MVP. But people aren't understanding. No, it's
a regular season award. The votes were in before the
playoffs even started, and I get it. You're right logically

(05:40):
people might understand it intellectually, but in their hearts they
get confused. I mean, you know that it's not I'm
not breaking news. I just think that you know that's
I think you'd end all of that if it was
done before you got a week before the playoffs begin.
I think it would end all that if they did
it then, I just think, Okay, it's a regular season

(06:02):
I hear you.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
If you want to put on a TV show and
be an executive producer, I'm not mad at you, but
I don't know if that's gonna change whether or not
people get mad. Even if you announce it then on
the show and then that guy's not in the playoffs
so it gets knocked out in the first round, or
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
I mean, I just think people are gonna be well,
discussion is good even if they're mad.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
And I agree, you should, you know what, And we
talk about all the time, the worst MVP should be
where nobody has any The worst is that there's no
debate or no conversation. It's great even when Westbrook won Chris,
you know, like, hey his team is six seed. Hey,

(06:46):
you know, no one's ever done a triple double for
the entire season. Like that's a good debate and then
everybody can make their case. So the idea that you know,
people are gonna all be in agreement or whatever or
like the idea, I just don't think that that's gonna
happen anyway.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
There's always gonna be a couple people.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
I'm sure that some people think, Hey, if MB wasn't helped,
wasn't hurt Chris, he would have been the MVP this year.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Obviously he didn't play well at that point. No I know,
but you know what I mean, But he didn't play enough.
All right, rob Ge, we got Patrick Beverly. Rob had
an interesting take about the all NBA teams. Uh here
he is. Well, it was a.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Tweet, guys, And I don't know if this was aim
specifically at one particular player, because you know, Pat bevsn't
known the troll. But he put this out from official
account quote should you make an All NBA team if
you're in the playing And then he just added his
podcast or maybe's something to dicuss in a no coming episode.
But guys, your thoughts on that question.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Well, first of all, I think the playing and the
playoffs are a lot different. Like is he just talking
about the nine and ten seeds, which would be Chicago
and Atlanta in the east, Sacramento in Golden State in
the West, or is he actually talking about all four
or all eight teams total that are in the play

(08:07):
in because that includes seven, eight, nine and ten seeds.
I mean, so you're including teams that typically or historically
would have made the playoffs. Bottom line, I think is
he's wrong or I don't know that he's even saying
you shouldn't. I'm just saying, bottom line, my answer, you
should if you even if you don't make the playoffs,

(08:29):
you are eligible for All NBA and depending on your season,
depending on your teammates, right, I mean depend on how
I mean, yes, you should be. Now you may or
may not make it, but I and I do take
record into account. I'm looking at my all NBA teams, Rob,

(08:52):
I have one person from the play in on the
first two teams. There's three all NBA teams. I'll greet
you my All NBA team first team Luca Jokic, Giannis
Tatum and SGA second team Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, Kevin Durant,

(09:16):
Kawhi Leonard, and Anthony Davis. Ad is the one from
the playing team. Now, my third team has three guys
from the playing Steph Devin Booker who's not in the
playing Sabonis who is in the playing and Lebron playing
and Jaylen Brown. So, but the bottom line is, now,

(09:38):
look Lebron, there was a case for him to make
second team ahead of like Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, but
Rob I was like, I can't put two players, two
Lakers on when they were the eight seed and a
couple of days ago with the tenth seed. I can't
have two Lakers on the first two teams because it's like,

(09:59):
why are you the eight? See if you got to
second team All NBA players, right, So Lebron made third team.
But yeah, so I you know it is not it's
an art rop Quite frankly, it's not a science. It's
how well you played individually, what your statistics look like,

(10:22):
who are your teammates, you're supporting cast, you know, all
sorts of things that come into play. But yeah, I
definitely think you should be eligible if you're in the plane.
I mean not just eligible, but actually considered.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Seriously, again, it's just a it's a tweet with no context.
It doesn't really make sense because you could have had
an outstanding season, and what does the player have to
do with that?

Speaker 5 (10:48):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (10:49):
It's an individual thing. Anyway, Chris. There've been great players
who played on bad teams. Maybe you're on a bad team.
You know why, because your second star got hurt right right,
and you played and you played your butt off. The
record wasn't good, Chris, but you picked up the slack,
you know what I mean. Like, there's all kinds of stuff,
So why would that be a negative? I don't even

(11:09):
understand why that would be a negative.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Now, you're absolutely right. You're absolutely right, And I'm glad
you said that because when I voted for my defensive
Player of the Year, I didn't let his teams sorry,
except for Wimby in that case that would be different.

We got Old and Polonies, former NBA veteran and friend

(13:35):
of the show joining us in about ten minutes. But first, Rob, Yeah,
I went ahead and did what so many were afraid
to do, which is vote Victor Winbanyama my Defensive Player
of the Year. And Rob, I mean, I get it

(13:57):
that his team was bad. Okay, most rookies teams are bad,
or a lot of them. But I am not gonna
deny him what I think he clearly deserved, which was
Defensive Player of the Year, because the team his rookie
year was bad. Here's one of the things, Rob. When

(14:19):
wym Banyaima was off the court, the Spurs defense was
one of the worst in the league, bottom ten. When
he was on the court, their defense was darned near
top five in the league. It was a six point

(14:40):
improvement in their defensive rating. For comparison's sake, Rudy Gobert,
who I had second, He's a three time Defensive Player
of the Year, probably will win so sooner before. And
Anthony Davis, who I had third on my ballot. When
Gobert is on the court, there is a zero point

(15:03):
seven point change in their defense. When Anthony Davis is
on the court, there's a zero point three point change.
So Wemby is making a huge difference. Rob, he had
seven games in which he blocked I'm sorry, eight games

(15:23):
in which he blocked seven or more shots this year.
The rest of the top five shot blockers in the league,
Brook Lopez, Chet Holmgren, Anthony Davis, Walker Kessler, they didn't
even have that many seven block games. And not only

(15:45):
did he lead the league in blocks. But he also
was able to defend out on the perimeter, which is
something Anthony Davis and to a even far worse extent,
Rudy go Bear cannot do. And so I think he
deserved it, and so I feel I have no problems

(16:08):
voting for it. I have a problem, Chris Bussard, because
ratings wise.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Go Bear had a better rating, and you could go
ahead and talk about the difference between the nine foot
tall winby being on the court and whether or not
he changes everything in his block shots.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
But here's why I disqualify him. And it's not.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Just the record, because I get it, no one was
expecting them to make the playoffs or anything. But if
he was really a defensive force, how in the world
did the Spurs lose.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Eighteen games in a row? Eighteen games?

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Chris, If you told me that he affected the game
somehow and they won a couple of games that they
shouldn't have won because he played this outstanding defense, how
in the world could a player on a team that
lost eighteen games in a row with the defensive player
of the year on it, How did they lose eighteen

(17:15):
games in a row. There's no way he could get
my vote on that team. I'm sorry. And he didn't
play one meaningful game other than his debut when their
record was oh to oh. That was the only game
that mattered to the Spurs. But other than that, he
was just out there playing. Let me go cheat here.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
It's not gonna matter. It doesn't matter if we win
any games because it's not about that. Did you watch him?

Speaker 5 (17:45):
Was he?

Speaker 1 (17:46):
I watched him. I'm just cheating. I'm giving he was
playing legitimate games in a row. He played just floating around.
Alex Wayne to you eight.

Speaker 7 (17:55):
In a row.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Defense, you gotta score too. I don't care who the
best defender ever. You gotta score. I don't care how.
You're not shutting anybody out. This isn't baseball. You can
put your shutout what not. Yeah, right, that's what I'm saying.
It's not baseball. You have to score points. And that

(18:17):
was earlier in the season. Obviously he's still getting his
sweet wet but still eighteen losses. Eighteen losses. But I'm
talking about him. This is a team sport, and watching
him defensively wreak havoc on the perimeter with his long
arms and ability to slide and guard on the perimeter,

(18:39):
block shots or make dudes not even take shots Rob
when he was on the shore.

Speaker 8 (18:45):
And stop him from winning those teams. But he was
on the spot, but they still won. J did when
he was on the court the Spur. He he blocked
ten of the opponent's shots ten percent, and he played

(19:07):
over two thousand minutes.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
My point is, if you don't play a lot, you
might be able to do that because obviously you know
the more you play, the less likely you are to
block ten percent of the shots. He's the only the
second player since nineteen eighty six to do that, the
first MANEU Bowl. So I'm just saying this dude did

(19:32):
his historical stuff. He had the highest combination of blocks
and steals, the second highest of the century behind Ben Wallace,
who was a four time Defensive Player.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
Of the Year.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
I bet you my New Bols team didn't lose eighteen
in a row without even look without even looking it up,
I guarantee.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
You they ain't lose. So what if it had been
ten in a row but the record was the same,
that would have been better. Yeah, A Rod was ridiculous.
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
It means he didn't have an endrecord winning records.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
He didn't. Yeah, all right, he clearly.

Speaker 9 (20:13):
Was the award.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Is not who had the most impact on winning. No,
wasn't that good you expect him to do? Hold a
team in fifty defense? Wasn't that good?

Speaker 9 (20:23):
No?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Not not watch the game?

Speaker 6 (20:24):
Not enough, not enough for not enough for him, not
enough for him to lose eighteen. What I'm talking about,
it was that ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
If you can sit here or Victama's defense wasn't let
me fit go ahead, one of us gotta talk. If
you can see here on national radio and say, Victor
win By Yama's defense wasn't good. You clearly didn't watch

(20:55):
any games. I said, wasn't good to stop them from
losing eighteen in a row.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
And that is my point, Chris, that that tells you
about that tells you about your vote.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
That you didn't look into the whole thing about I
did look, and I'm asking you about the eighteen in
a row. Didn't bother you at all? Now I'm asking you, okay,
because it's more than defense. If it was three on
three like they used to play the girls used to
play in Iowa when I lived there, and once I
only played defense, maybe it'd be different. Heck, he could

(21:32):
have blocked twenty shots, held the team to thirty percent
shooting and you still could lose. You have to score.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
So you're an analytics guy now winning that. It's not
about analytic analytics.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I gave traditional numbers to the shot blocking three and
a half blocks a game, blocking ten percent of the shot. Now,
that's an analytic but it's a based off a traditional
saskin you just changing on me.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
That great.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
I take take analytics into consideration. But seeing he that
he blocked more shots, like I said, more seven block
games than the rest of the top five shot blockers
in the league combined, that's not analytics. That's a traditional stat.
The dude was awesome. Watch a game and see guess what.

(22:24):
Guess what your vote goals for? Not because everybody knows
married you know what vote. It's not within me. Everyone
knows it's not. See, that's the difference. You vote. You
must follow the crowd because I vote who I think
deserves it. I don't know who who everybody else gonna
vote for. I mean, I may if it deserves if
I feel like it deserves it, But I don't say,

(22:45):
you know what Yolka's gonna win MVP. Let me just
vote for him. No, it's five he votes. Who I
think is gonna win?

Speaker 5 (22:51):
I got you?

Speaker 1 (22:51):
I think should win? All right, Old Polonies around the corner.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
But first, Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk
lineup in the nation. All of our shows at Foxsports
Radio dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR
to listen live.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
All the way live from the tire iraq dot com studios.
Our man, Olden Polonies, former NBA VET now Fox Sports
Radio NBA analyst. What's up? Man?

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Hey guys, how y'all doing doing great? How are you?

Speaker 8 (23:22):
Man?

Speaker 1 (23:22):
We are good?

Speaker 5 (23:23):
I am awesome. I'm on this side of I'm happy.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Are you enjoying the player?

Speaker 5 (23:28):
Look?

Speaker 1 (23:29):
I think Adam Silver hit a home run with the
play in. I think it's added excitement, the one and
done a little bit of March madness. What do you think?

Speaker 5 (23:38):
I do? I love it? And you know there's been
some people that were, you know, they were doing the blowback,
but now that seems to be like the only way
they can make the playoffs or have a chance to
play in.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
So what are the eighty two game for it? Olden?
What did that for?

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Is there any reason to care about that. If twenty
of the thirty teams make the playoffs, it's the point.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Just put everybody on eighty two. Put everybody in.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
You're gonna be one of the teams that don't have
to be in the play in, you know. So that's
the thing. I mean, you still got to play the
seasons because so they gonna make their money, but the
play in they're making more money.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
But I so, why not put everybody in there a
little bit more?

Speaker 5 (24:17):
What's that?

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Why not put everybody in? Twenty of the thirty make it?
Why not just put all thirty in there? Any suspense?

Speaker 5 (24:24):
And then that's what they call march madness?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Yes, so what do march madness? Until you get to
the top six?

Speaker 5 (24:32):
Hey man, that's above my pay grade.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Okay, I don't know. It be difficult.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
Outside to answer the question. I just I like the
player for what it is. I would the Lakers, you know,
we could, yeah, right away, you know we could do
this all day right with them anything, Yes.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Yes, we do. The Lakers running away right now, fourteen
point lead late in the first half at New Orleans.
How much of a chance should they advance? Do you
give them against Denver?

Speaker 5 (25:06):
Not much. I would say maybe twenty percent. You know,
I don't want to go all the way down to
like zero because they still you know, as long they
have Lebron, Anthony Davis, those guys. But yeah, winning this
game is not beneficial to the Lakers in my personal opinion,
because they're not beating Denver four games in Denver. Basically,

(25:28):
That's how I look at it.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
But you got no choice, right, you go out, you ain't.
You got to play right, right? Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (25:39):
All right?

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Who are you excited about in the playing in the East?
Tell me about those matchups? What are you excited about it?

Speaker 5 (25:45):
I really like the Philadelphia Miami matchup only because I
think and be coming back at some excitement to their team.
You know, when he got back towards the end of
the season, you could see they got that they swagger
back a little bit because they had their big man
and so the guys that have been playing without him,
so that's a boost of confidence for them. So I

(26:05):
like them as my dog horse right now to come
out the East. You know, I really do. For some
strange reason, I just see Philadelphia like just doing something
really well.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
This is because I see I think with MBI, who
we know has not played as well in the playoffs
as he has in the regular season. We're gonna find
out whether there is there some mental block, there, some
nerves that he hasn't performed the same in the playoffs,
or has it been he's kind of worn down physically
by the time the playoffs get there. I think we're

(26:37):
gonna find the answer this year. I mean, assuming he's healthy.
I know he was banged up a little bit last week,
but don't you agree, like we're gonna find out if
this could be a blessing in disguise for them.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
I know, you know, because to your point about it,
you know, him breaking down physically, He's had a good
two and a half months off, so that can be
the excuse. I remember he did tweak his ankle or
is his knee something, and he went out and then
came back in and he ran unto the course, so
he was fine. So he's had a lot of rest.

(27:11):
So if anything fails, it's gonna be a mental thing
with him.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
How about the Warriors and their team? Where are they?
Can they somehow put it together get one more last hurrah?
Or is this just like they are what we've seen,
which is they can be great on some nights when
they're making threes, and other nights they're not that good.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Well, that's the thing. They can be great on some
nights and you better hope you don't catch them on
a great knight. And so to me, they still, you know,
a very good team. I mean, Draymond just has to
keep his emotions in check a little bit. You know,
they can't afford to have him getting technical fouls or
getting thrown out of the game. Okay, So that's number

(27:55):
one and two. They got to make shots. That's what
they are known for. The already is a synonymous with
three point shooting, you know, being one of the smallest teams,
but yet they probably the best rebounding team in the NBA.
And so to me, they get the jobs done. They
just have to stop turning the damn ball over right,
right and.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
One and done. Who knows if they if they get
cold or they get hot, anything can happen.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
Last thing, that's the beauty off the play in I agree.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
I agree, I'm with you on that last thing. Before
you go, Victor Winbinyama. I had him as my defensive
player of the Year. Who's yours?

Speaker 5 (28:35):
Oh Man? Three point six blocks per game. That's not
bad for a rookie. I'm being sarcastic right now. That's
I mean, that's amazing. I was one of the people. Hey,
I'm man enough to say, you know what I was.
I'm a little impressed because I was one of the
people saying I've seen this movie before, but that he

(28:55):
was something special this year. So if it's not him,
then Ovez been manning that that defensive side of the
ball for the minnesot Timberwolves as well. So let's not
forget him.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
What is Wimby's ceiling in your view?

Speaker 5 (29:09):
M m man, it's up to him. I mean, he
could be the thing. Okay, I'm gonna answer it this way.
His ceiling is that by the time he gets done
playing basketball, he'll probably be running point guard.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I mean he actually did some of that this year,
you know, But I'm.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
Saying he'll probably be running point guard on a team
with a bunch of seven footers along with him.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Oh you think that's the way the league is going?

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (29:41):
What's this Land of the Giants? What what are we
doing here?

Speaker 5 (29:44):
Okay, I'm just telling you, man, listen.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
You wish you played in this era. Don't you could
have been dropping James.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
Right now, keep my mouth shut and just get paid.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
All right. That is our man, old than poss old
this stuff as always, brother, all right, enjoy the games,
all right, it's your time to shine. Trash Talking Tuesday
is now eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. You'll
turn the trash anyone anything in the world of sports.
You have thirty to forty seconds to do so. O

(30:17):
coable Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
All right, it's the couple Chris Brussar Rob Parker live
from thetire Rack dot Com studios. And uh it of
course is time for trash talking Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
All right, Chris, let's kick it off this trash talking Tuesday.
Let's kick it off with Gary in Houston. You're in
the odd couple Fox Sports Radio. Who your trashing?

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Gary?

Speaker 10 (30:55):
Kem Newton For Sak Cousins would have been Peyton morrisy
hat is with me?

Speaker 5 (30:58):
Bro?

Speaker 10 (30:59):
If Cousins had yours to me, he'd be out the
damn league like you.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Let it go. You're never getting back in the league
because nobody wants a QB who can throw and dress
like a Harry Potter.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
Churcher also r I p OJ.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
I'm glad he can rest knowing his wife's killer is dead.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
I'm just gonna leave that alone, all right. Very nice,
Thank you Gary, very much.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Larissa in Washington, you're in the couple of Fox Sports
Wade who you trash and Larissa first.

Speaker 9 (31:27):
Time long time? I'm trashing Scott Service with the Seattle Mariners.
How are you gonna give my boys? Julio Riguez a
mental health staate and then you put him in in
the ninth inning with two outs and he gets picked off.
Oh my, I'm about to lose my mind with the Mariners.
We need new owners, we need new management.

Speaker 10 (31:45):
We just need a break. Thank you guys.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Wow, very Caissa.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
She had it down Chris Scott Service, she did worked
him over like a burger.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
And fries on that one.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Nice job. Clarissa. Jacks in Kansas City, you're on the
couple of Fox Sports Radio. Who you're trashing?

Speaker 10 (32:06):
Jacks Man.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
I hate to do it, but I gotta trash my
own hometown Chiefs and Royals for the absolutely arrogant, disrespectful
campaign they ran to try to get us to put
up through billion dollars as voters in this county for
them to have a new stadium. So until y'all come

(32:29):
back to us with a real plan that has actual
numbers and a real location chosen, I don't want to
hear nothing about what we didn't do and why y'all
might have to leave after as much bad baseball as
we lived through with this team. The fact that they
won a World Series a couple of years ago. Great,
we went fifty years without Super Bowl. Man, we finally

(32:50):
got us some wins in. That's beautiful. But don't be
disrespectful and arrogant when you're coming to us asking us
to put up for your facilities. Hey, man, I appreciate it. Bro,
I'm out.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
I can't be mad at I'm not mad at him either.
Like they want Chris two billion dollars. People are over
taxed already. They don't want to do it.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Yeah, who about to say?

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Right?

Speaker 1 (33:10):
And all they do, like all these leagues, is brag
about how much money they make Chris. All they do
because they make us a degreed is incredible. It is incredible.
It's incredible, all of them.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Greedy Mike in California, you're in they couple of Fox
Sports Ready who you're trash.

Speaker 11 (33:28):
And Mike, Oh my god, man, I got the trash
Brownie James brother, Bronnie James.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
Hey, do yourself for favor, my man. Stay in college.

Speaker 11 (33:40):
What did you haveage two points a game this year?
How many points you think you're gonna average in the NBA?
How about a big fat zero? Because you won't even
get in the game, Broddie day, you'll be sitting on
the bench. Don't embarrass yourself, and don't embarrass your father.
Stay in college, my man, because I'm pretty sure, Chris
that nobody will grab Roddy James, not even the Lakers.

(34:02):
So do yourself, Broddy James brother. It finds you a
college to go to and practice on how to shoot,
and practice on your skills, and then maybe one day
you might be in the NBA like your father.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
And I think you were taking my dolls, all right,
thanks Mike.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
How about Kevin in Culver City. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. Who you're trashing, Kevy.

Speaker 5 (34:23):
Cav God is good.

Speaker 9 (34:26):
I gotta get into this man here the beasts going
on in hip hop with Drake and Keen, Kendrick k
Dot Yo, Drake, Drizzyya, I'm a fan of you, but
don't go on Kendrick's wife Lee, Kendricks's wife whint me
out of your mouth, Man and the Beast. Another thing too,
you don't get more love than Kay down in La.
Kendrick Lamar has a mirror in Staple Center right next

(34:46):
to Kobe Bryant. He was mentored and raised by Kobe
Bryant Tomar. But you can see the interview together and
Kobe talked about taking out.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
His number number one top competitors.

Speaker 9 (34:56):
That's what Kendrick is doing. He's a laker. He's going
to the top dogs. Another thing too, Kenja could move
anywhere in LA and have respect in the city. And Greg,
you might have sold one hundred children of million records,
but you've never made an album like the Piper Butterfly
with a self conscious song. For our culture is like
all right? Which was our generation? What's going on for
Marvin Gaye? So on a self level commercial level, you

(35:19):
might be big, but on a lyrical level to hip hop,
you are nowhere near the level of what Kenda lamartins
to hip hop and our culture with the music that
he puts off, and you talk about the Swifties. Taylor
went to Kenja Lamar said she wanted to do a
song with him because Good Kim Mass City was her
favorite album. So I'm just saying leave it up to Taylor.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
She lets you know, all right, man culture going on. Yeah,
and you know he said leave his wife out. You
know you don't want this to term really ugly. We've
seen it before.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
N just leave that out.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
Let's squeeze in another one. Israel and Coachella. You're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. Who you're trashing.

Speaker 10 (35:57):
Israel trash and Tim from the intern Empire. He called
in yesterday. Yes, uh he called because uh, I forgot
his take. But what I took from it is that
he used to be a Lakers fan, but he hates
Lebron more right.

Speaker 5 (36:14):
Well, my take it to him is we don't.

Speaker 10 (36:16):
Need stakes fans. We already have enough bandwagon fans. Once
Lebron retires, go to the Lakers and stay there.

Speaker 5 (36:23):
Kim May all right, all right.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
He was willing to make coach fans Ron. Yes, we've
got something. Chris I already told you, I'm.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Just counties playing as the playoffs and stop playing. They
can't just float around, Chris, And they're not stats that
counted in the playoffs, but they don't count the regular season,
like they gotta go in one category.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
What that didn't happen? I mean, I totally agree. I
don't understand what in the world they're doing with that trashing.
I'm trashing Rob Parker. We gotashing my Wimby vote? Oh wow?
Weimby is blocking shots left and right. Wimby is blocking

(37:12):
shots like minute ball, yet bringing the ball up, shooting threes,
doing this thing guarding on the perimeter. Rob's you who
you trashing? I'm trashing Kevin in Culver City.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Just because Drake did a layup line at Kentucky and
he's best friends with all these NBA players does not
mean he's a person in sports.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
He should not be eligible for trash talk. Kevin, you
know better than that. We just let him go. You
know what I meant to do anything, it's the odd couple.
Keep it like we got an hour left. Fox Sports
