Speaker 4 (03:26):
Excellent? Excellent? Excellent.

Speaker 6 (03:32):
Yeah, yeah, we're gonna get into that. But Rob g
is in the house, Laker fan number one. He's sad today,
but hey, it is what it is. On the ones
and tubes of course, DJ Alex Tyser aka Alex the Vegan,
on the social media, Elijah Sabuna, and on the updates,
our man, the loquacious Brian Finley. Rob, you mentioned it

(03:56):
the Lakers in our What a game? What a night
of basketball? The Knicks game was terrific, Knicks Philadelphia and.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Then the nightcap ninety It was a great game.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
I ain't I'm just gonna keep it real. One oh
one ninety nine Denver beats the Lakers on a buzzer
beater by Jamal Crawford the twenty foot now of seventeen
feet whatever.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
It was step back in the right.

Speaker 6 (04:28):
Corner over the seventh foot or Anthony Davis, who actually
played good defense on that play.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
But uh, Rob, what were your thoughts?

Speaker 6 (04:37):
I mean, the Lakers led by twenty, and I'm just
gonna real quick.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Because I want to hear your thoughts real quick.

Speaker 7 (04:45):
Rob.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
There was not a moment in that game, even when
the Lakers were up twenty, that I felt Denver was
out of it. I'm not saying I actually did think
they were going to be gonna come back and win.
But I'm not gonna like I was confident, Oh, they're
definitely winning, But I knew they had a chance, and

(05:07):
I thought they'd be able to.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Pull it off if they got it closed down stairs.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
I never felt, oh, twenty points, it's over, and sure
enough it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Rob, But what were your thoughts?

Speaker 8 (05:20):
I thought Lebron made a huge mistake at the end
of the game, just one you just cannot do. Or
you take a task, well, you take a shot with
eleven too much time left on the clock, and I
know the guy fell down in front of him, But
Chris can take that. That last shot has to be
with two seconds to go, either you win the game

(05:41):
or you go on overtime. You can't give them the
ball back in that spot. There was too much time
like that's just that's winning basketball, like you cannot if
you're Lebron and I get it.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
You gotta open look, Chris Man.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Is it an open look?

Speaker 8 (05:57):
Yeah, but if you miss it, which he did, this
is what opened the door. But if you wait until
two seconds or to go, either you make.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Going overtime and losing overtime.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
No, you either make the shot, but you don't give
them the ball to lose. Is what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (06:14):
You have to You have to you take the shot,
or you go to the basket, whatever you want to
do to try to score right, or you're going to
overtime and try to win it there.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
You can't give them the ball back. It's all I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (06:27):
Once the shot clock is the shot clock was fourteen seconds,
they can't get the ball.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
They shouldn't get the ball back.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
I hear you.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
But again, you're going in the overtime, so you you
could have lost in overtime. He had a great look,
he just didn't hit it. I mean, you're not gonna
get a better look than that. And he had been hot.
Lebron was great in the fourth quarter. And it's interesting

(06:58):
because I thought, and I talked about this yesterday, how was.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
He going to play?

Speaker 6 (07:05):
I mean, he knew he played well, but what was
going to be his strategy in game two?

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Game one, we saw that his strategy was to punch
the Nuggets in the face, go all out at the beginning,
and see if he could build his team a lead
and they can hold on in the end. But he
was gassed at the end of the game and had

(07:32):
nothing left in the tank in the fourth quarter and
they lost. So last night in game two, he comes
out differently. He gets everybody involved early. Di'angelo Russell finally
shows up. That was one good sign for the Lakers.
Hit seven threes. They're up twenty in the third quarter,

(07:56):
up ten going into the fourth quarter.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
And he was great.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
He had he had energy left because he didn't have to,
you know, exert himself too much in the first few quarters,
and so he had everything left in the fourth. Hit
two threes, hit a great three point play, got a
steal and a dunk, Like the only thing he did
was miss and open wide open. I mean, you don't

(08:26):
get any more open in that wide open three pointer
top of the key.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
He missed it.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
Denver comes down about fourteen seconds left when he took
the shot, and they get a last shot.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
But I disagree with Rob. I understand Rob's logic.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
Robin is having some technical difficulties, so he he is
off right now.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
No I'm here. Oh I can hear you're not on
the zoom.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Okay, I get your logic.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
The bottom line is they they gotta win it in
overtime anyway, So I you know.

Speaker 8 (08:56):
I talked to a few basketball coaches today and people
they all said, you just can't that, that just can't.
It's gotta be game winner, Chris, where they don't get
the ball back or you push it to overtime.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
I'm just saying that, that's all.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
That was my first thing. You gotta beat him in overtime.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
And I get it.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Asked I get it thirty nine years old, Like, yeah,
I mean that's a it's not a bad take, you
know what I mean, because it's certainly merit to it.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
But the bottom line is it's it's just like if.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
You're you know in football, if you're down one and
at the end of the game and you can kick
the extra point and tie it and go into overtime,
or you can go for two and go for the win.
You know, a lot of time teams say on the road,
we'll go for the win, and because you gotta beat

(09:48):
them in overtime if you don't beat them in regulations.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
So all the momentum was with Denver.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
They had outscored the Lakers by twenty two points in
the final twenty two minutes. So I, like I said,
I if it would have been a rushed, contested shot.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Fine, but dude was open. He just missed and rob.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
That was one of the big keys was that Denver.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
Was clutch.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
And the Lakers weren't. And the Lakers weren't horrible in
the clutch.

Speaker 6 (10:22):
They they made three of their last six shots. Denver
made seven of its last seven. In the fourth quarter,
Denver shot sixty five the Lakers shot forty four percent.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
I just don't know how the Lakers are gonna win
a game. Anthony Davis played terrific. I know in the
second half they went away from Aaron Gordon shutting okay
in the second half like non existent. But here's the
other Delo plays this fantastic game, you still don't win,
Like like is he gonna shoot any can he shoot
any better than that?

Speaker 5 (10:52):
I mean, there was your opportunity.

Speaker 8 (10:54):
And that's why I keep saying when you look at
that game, Chris, that that's a game you just don't
want to allow them to beat you the way that
they did. And that's that's all I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
I get it.

Speaker 8 (11:07):
It was an open look, but it just didn't make
sense to potentially give them the ball back. And the
last thing you wanted was for them to get the
ball back with a tie game.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
And have a chance to beat you. And that's what happened.
And now it's what is it ten in.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
A row or what ten in a row in a row?

Speaker 8 (11:25):
And I don't know if the Lakers. I know, going home,
people think, oh, they'll go home. They were so close
in both get they were cloud close in two games
on the road last year and still went home and
lost two. Oh No, I don't know if they can
win a game. I don't know if they can win again.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
That's the question. And obviously it's got to be game three.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
If they lose game three, then I mean would they
try to go out on their sword and have a
little bit of pride? Yeah, of course, But so what
I mean, it's you're human, Rob. You're down three to
zero to a team that's beating you eleven straight games.
If indeed that happens on Thursday, and it's human nature

(12:02):
Rob to.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Just you know, you know it's over.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
And if you win and you're down three to one,
now you're going to Denver where you haven't won, or
Lebron hasn't won.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
I don't think since twenty twenty like they're cooked.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
It might be a gentleman's sweep or it might just
be a plain old soweep. But the Lakers, either way
you cut it, are in trouble. So do you place blame.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
For the loss on Lebron or you're.

Speaker 8 (12:37):
Just saying I just said I have shot that. Yeah,
that's just a bad, bad way to end the game.
I mean, I'm not saying that because there's no I mean,
he could have done that in Jamal Murray could have
missed a shot.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Okay, you go to overtime.

Speaker 8 (12:48):
I'm not saying that, but that just wasn't the way
because Lebron obviously could have missed a shot, and yes,
they could have lost in overtime, but you don't want
to give the ball back. And that's my only point.
I I get it. The defender fell down and it's
wide open, and it looks like how all I do
is put up, put up a shot and win the

(13:09):
game or whatever, But it just it backfired on him.

Speaker 6 (13:13):
Yeah, and look, it was a great play by Murray
because Anthony Davis's defense was great. You're seven foot, you
stay in front of him, you force him to take
a fade away jumper. And Murray didn't even see the
ball going to basket. That's how difficult of a shot
it was for him. But give him credit.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
Man.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
He was clutched.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
Six points in the first three quarters, fourteen in the fourth.
And that was, like I said, Denver was clutch and
the Lakers were not, or Denver was great, missed thirteen
of his first he was off, and that's that's the
way that killed you.

Speaker 8 (13:50):
If you're the Lakers, that you you didn't win that
game where he was so off.

Speaker 6 (13:55):
He hasn't been on the whole series, right, I mean,
he was great in the fourth, and he was clutch
in Game one as well. That's what he does. But
he's shooting thirty below forty percent for the series. He's
shooting below thirty percent from three, so that's not going
to continue. So that's the thing you you don't Jamal

(14:15):
Murray hasn't been hot yet, you know that's coming. And
Ad was fantastic thirty two points, eleven rebounds. I know
he faded in the second half, but I think Aaron
Gordon beat him up.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Well.

Speaker 6 (14:29):
Lebron was really good all night and great in the fourth.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
D Lo hit seven threes. Rob they made five more three.

Speaker 6 (14:39):
Pointers than the Nuggets. Nuggets shot twenty three percent from three.
That's usually a death now and still beat him and
we're down by twenty and you and then you couldn't
hold it. So yeah, they look they can put up
a tough face and they should, but they're human and

(15:02):
this team just has their number.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
We'll see if they get a game.

Speaker 6 (15:06):
What are your thoughts on last night's instant classic one
oh one ninety nine Nuggets take down the Lakers go
up two oh eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 6 (16:12):
All Right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, you're
turning the way in Who's to blame for the Lakers
loss last night? They blew a twenty point lead? Who
is to blame? Your thoughts?

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Next?

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Eight seven seven ninety.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
All right, let's get to it. Nick in New York.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Nick?

Speaker 10 (16:40):
Hey, how you guys doing. It's not our it's not
your show, it's our show, it's it's my favorite show.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
My man. We appreciate you Nick all the time.

Speaker 10 (16:47):
Of course, Tom I was gonna say, Lebron you can't
blame him for being that tired at the end of
when it was ninety nine ninety or yeah, when Jamal
Murray tied the game up, Lebron looks bluggleish, like he
barely jumped at that shot. But the other part two
is when Lebron made that guy fall, he gave him
that stare down like that he he crossed him off,
that he got him down, and then he shot the three.

(17:09):
You can't be doing that in the playoffs in my opinion,
and I could be wrong, but he was looking for
like that game winner moment when you know you just
got to shoot the shot or if you don't make it,
you're gonna get criticized because there was too much time
left on for them to come back down and score. Well, yeah,
show can't wait to hear.

Speaker 7 (17:25):
What you guys got to say.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Thank you, Nick?

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Yeah, I look, I mean I don't know if looking
down wasn't an issue. Did that throw lebron off?

Speaker 4 (17:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (17:38):
The look was per You couldn't ask for a better look,
and my thing is you weren't gonna get a better
looking overtime. That's a great look. You're holding on for
dear life against this team. Win it in regulation.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
He took a shot, they missed. You know, it's as
simple as that.

Speaker 8 (17:54):
Yeah, I'm just it's like we talk about all the time.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
It's all kinds of games where you give the ball back.

Speaker 8 (18:02):
When the Falcons didn't use their time against Tom Brady,
they were taking the staff Chris with twenty seconds left
on the play clock, Like you could go No, I'm
just saying you could go back and look at those
things and just say, like what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Like there's certain things you need to do to not
hurt yourself at the end, and they didn't do it.

Speaker 8 (18:21):
Trent in San Antonio, you're in the couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
What's up, Trent?

Speaker 11 (18:27):
Thanks for taking my call. Okay, So Game one, the
Nuggets out shot the Lake. They took almost thirty more shots, yeah,
than the Lakers, and then in Game two they took
ten more shots in the Lakers and one by two, Yes,
a game win a shot. I think this is about offense.
I think the Lakers need to take more shots and
they need to turn the ball over less. I think

(18:48):
it's an offensive thing. And so when I'm looking down
the score chart, the others are just not matching the
others from Denver, and I thought, I think.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
It's just I mean, d Loo was that's great now, MPJ,
Michael Porter Junior has been phenomenal. But what you're saying,
I think what that boils down to. I mean, typically
that's something where you look at the offensive rebounds, you know,
and Denver has been better on the boards. Game two,
they have nine offensive rebounds. The Lakers have four. A

(19:21):
prime example was the shot by MPJ that tied it
right with a minute fifteen left.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
When Aaron Gordon tracks down the kind.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
Of the you know, Yogic was trying to draw a
foul on a shot, so he throws up like a
bad three pointer. Aaron Gordon out hustles Austin, reeves to
the ball and throws it to MPJ and he hits
the three pointer to tie it with the minute fifteen left.
That's just an example, like, that's how you get so
many more shots than your opponent is you hit the

(19:53):
offensive glass. And so I don't I mean that's how
you get more shots.

Speaker 8 (19:58):
I just when you look at the Lakekers and like
some of the performances of A D and D Low
and Lebron and you can't win.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Oh, I just I just know you're right. I mean,
they can't carry four from those games.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Can't.

Speaker 8 (20:11):
How much is ad gonna score sixty four points for
you to be able to win the game. I mean,
I don't know numbers she has to put up to.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
The point of the caller.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
In game one where they did, Denver did take about
thirty more shots than the Lakers, or twenty more shots,
twenty three more to be exact.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
They have fifteen offensive rebounds, the Lakers had six.

Speaker 5 (20:32):
Right, that's a show.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
That's the difference.

Speaker 8 (20:34):
That's And if you make put half of those back, Chris,
and put half not even all of them, not gonna
put them all back, You put half of them back,
that it's huge. Marty in Kentucky, you're in the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. While Marty, what's up, Buddy,
What's up?

Speaker 12 (20:49):
Fails?

Speaker 4 (20:50):
What Up?

Speaker 12 (20:52):
I think this is gonna make it maybe the third
time in all these years that I agreed with robbing Baketball.
I think a hund shot was a very poor decision making.
I think you got a way till four or three seconds.
Sometimes you take it with four so you're so your
team has a chance for an offensive rebound. But with

(21:12):
thirteen you not only do you miss or you're getting
a team a chance to win the game, but you're
you're adding pressure to the shot because if you miss
the shot, you're you're giving a team a chance to
win the game.

Speaker 7 (21:25):
And Jamal Murray.

Speaker 12 (21:26):
Gets to take what I consider it to me when
it's last second and is a tie game, I don't consider.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
That a pressure shot. Marty one.

Speaker 8 (21:34):
I'm with you one hundred percent, because you know, no
matter what, you're not losing.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
It's not a pressure shot.

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Well, whether it's pressure or not, it's still a tough shot.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
No, that's not.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
I'm just saying pressure or not, it's a tough shot, but.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
It's not a pressure shot because you're not.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
Going to lose on that. You know Ad was guarding.
That's a tough shot to make.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
But no, but your logic is sound, rob I mean,
there's no doubt about it. The logic is sound all right.
It's the odd couple Chris and Rob from Salim around

I'm we're doing better than you because you're a Lakers.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
Are than Did you throw up in your mouth? Lost
on you?

Speaker 7 (22:39):
Before you jump on me, let me just be open
and honest. Last night was tough for me. It was emotionally, physically,
mentally just draining for me. And I did not have
a good evening, just so you know. So now go ahead,
carry on, gentlemen.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
Well, Rob has an interesting Rob tell him your thoughts
on the end of the game.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
I just didn't like and epom I get it?

Speaker 7 (23:04):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (23:06):
The defender? Who was that?

Speaker 6 (23:08):
By Lebron shot Ken Davis caw Yeah, KCP.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
He fell down. Lebron had a wide open look.

Speaker 7 (23:14):
But three but right.

Speaker 8 (23:16):
But but my issue is there's too much time on
the clock.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
When the score is tied.

Speaker 8 (23:22):
You got to take it down to about two or
three or three or four seconds whatever one You wanted
to maybe have a put back on a misshot, but
you can't allow them to get the ball back because
if you're the Lakers, you're either gonna win it right
with a shot with three seconds left or whatever, or
you're going to go to overtime. But what with eleven
or twelve seconds left? It just opened the door for them.

(23:44):
What did you think of that last you know sequence
by Lebron?

Speaker 7 (23:48):
I hated the shot. That's the easy way out that
I'm tired.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
What I do know, as he had just hit two threes.

Speaker 7 (23:58):
I understand it as the game goes along, right, it's
a tie if you if you're down by two and
you take that, okay, you're trying to win it on
the road. But if the game is tied, you put
the pressure on them. You don't bail them out. You
have to take it to them.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
So you didn't like him taking a three.

Speaker 7 (24:22):
No, I didn't want that three.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
I did not want that three.

Speaker 7 (24:25):
I wanted him to go to hoop. The defender fail down.
I wanted him to go to the hoop. Put him
in in a situation where he can get to the
line if he doesn't make the layup. That's the problem
I have. Okay, I didn't.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
Play, and you know what it could have been? Yeah,
that's fair.

Speaker 6 (24:40):
He obviously you played, you know, fifteen seasons. I believe
in the NFL. I don't know if you were ever
in a situation where a team beat you something like
ten straight you know the equivalent.

Speaker 8 (24:53):
And even from this has been in lesson was on
the Lions when they lost all those games?

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Go ahead?

Speaker 2 (24:58):
No, I wasn't.

Speaker 7 (24:59):
I wasn't even I was not part of that.

Speaker 6 (25:02):
Okay, that team to point team like how And I
know they put on the tough face, and I know
they're professional athletes.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
And obviously Lebron has come back from a three to one.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
Deficit before, But how tough is that to lose? And
then on top of that, the way they lost last
night after leading by twenty, how tough is that mentally
for a team to overcome when this team is just
beating you up ten straight times?

Speaker 7 (25:31):
Mentally, just the doubt creeps in your mind. You look
out d lo play, you look out a d play,
You look out Lebron. They did everything right, they did
everything right, and they still lost to a team that
they haven't beat in nine previous times until last night.

(25:52):
And so subconsciously it wears on you. Right now, you
can say, well, we're coming home. We look they've beatn
you at home too. Right, when you're in a situation
as an athlete and you don't know what the answer
is to the test you keep taking and failing, that
will drive you crazy, right, and that'll have you being

(26:12):
out of character. And that's the that's the scary thing
for me, Like, I don't want guys playing out of character. Right,
if you just continue to play like you played right
and down the stretch, have more gas in the tank.
Need more from Rory, I know he's he's switching off
on on on on your kidchen. You just need more, Okay, guys,

(26:37):
just gotta give more. That's it. And as a professional
athlete making ten twenty thirty million dollars a year, you
gotta take it personal. It is personal. If LA doesn't
get these two games, burn the whole team down.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Oh, two. They just better hope to get one so
they can avoid this.

Speaker 7 (26:54):
They can't go back.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
I mean, but this is over.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
I'm out of five times it's just not gonna.

Speaker 7 (27:02):
Happen, or it's just.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
Now they gotta get too.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
You're right if you're talking about winning, we just talking.

Speaker 7 (27:06):
About you gotta get two. Yeah, because you not just
do that. Like if you're as great a player as
Lebron James is right, go conversation. You ain't no saving face, right,
So you gotta you this is your legacy. This is
your legacy, and you gotta stamp it. Just like you

(27:28):
went up against the seventy two, seventy three wins, seventy
four win Warriors, whatever they won, seventy three wins, and
you won that championship. That is a stamp in your
legacy passport. You got to do this. You can't keep
getting swept out of the playoffs by the same team
and you're supposed to be one of the great. It's
not supposed to happen.

Speaker 8 (27:49):
See if we want to also ask you about the
Clippers and the job they did on Dallas shop.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Shock, were you with that?

Speaker 4 (27:56):
No?

Speaker 8 (27:57):
You know, no Kawhi and they're up by thirty points
in the first half against you know, Luca and Kyrie,
who people were ranting and raving about like they're the
most dangerous team in the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (28:08):
Yeah, I think I think they exposed Dallas for number one,
not taking them serious, right, not having Kawhi Dallas thought
they were gonna.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Come in and none, no, no agrees, right.

Speaker 7 (28:18):
And but the thing that I love what the Clippers
did is they went inside out. They went through Zuba.
They recognized, which they very rarely do. They recognized that
Dallas didn't have any bigs that can keep him from
underneath the basket. So the first few possessions they went
down and set the tone there, which completely opened up
the perimeter shooting. I love the way they approached that

(28:41):
game because it's true to what basketball is inside out.
Nowadays it's more outside in. But if you have a
big presence, then you feed him and you let them
go to you let him go to work until they
adjust and start doubling. Then it's just catching shooting out
there for everybody else.

Speaker 8 (28:57):
Chris Miller I talk about Tyleru all the time. We
think he's a fantastic.

Speaker 7 (29:01):
Coach, tremendous coach, the best coach in the league.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
Well, I got news for you if the well, the
Lakers are losing this series.

Speaker 7 (29:09):
So when they lose or damn I mean you procssed, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
Yeah, I am. It's over man.

Speaker 7 (29:18):
Look I know you a fan, you don't see.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
No, it's just truth. They're gonna go.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
I think they might.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Go after Tylo. I hope, so I think they might.
I think.

Speaker 8 (29:29):
I mean they swung and miss in the beginning them right, yea,
they low ball them. Now low ball and coach with
a championship in his back pocket.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
No, they made a mistake. But I think and I
don't know that they'll get rid of Darving. I think,
you know, they clearly scapegoed him a lot. I don't
think he's you know, the problem necessarily, but I think
that they might. And there's people around the league that
feel that they they're probably gonna go after Tyl Lou
if you know, if the Hippers finish, if they lose early,

(30:03):
or even if they don't and the Lakers lose early,
they will go after Tyler quickly. On Minnesota Phoenix. Phoenix
beat them three times in the regular season by double
figures each time, and then Minnesota comes and puts it
on them in game one.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
Who do you like in this series?

Speaker 6 (30:22):
Because this is a really it seems like feels like
it evenly matched one.

Speaker 11 (30:26):
Well it is.

Speaker 7 (30:27):
But I like Minnesota. I like Minnesota because of their size,
Rudy Gobert, who could possibly be the defensive player of
the year, and Anthony Edwards is electrifying getting called Anthony
Towns back when they did and him getting that back
acclimated the plane. They're just too big. They're too big.
You know. Phoenix already had an issue with size in
terms of protecting the rim and rebounding. So now unless

(30:50):
Devin Booker and kd are lights out, which that's not
going to happen. We don't know where Bradley Bill is.
It just doesn't not a good matchup for him.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
Yeah, it looked like that after game one. We'll see
what they do tonight. All right, that's our man, Eve
from Salim. Great stuff.

Speaker 11 (31:08):
Man.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
See I.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Told Rob g you could talk basketball.

Speaker 7 (31:14):
He don't believe you playing with me?

Speaker 5 (31:19):
All right, man, Peace more, I couple coming your way.

Speaker 6 (31:22):
Did you see Anthony Edwards talking trash?

Speaker 4 (31:27):
What Kevin Durant. We'll get into that next radio.

Dally Dicks against the scrap.

Speaker 5 (32:27):
All right, checkle City. Two and one. Last night the
Lakers game was the.

Speaker 8 (32:31):
Only game I did not get right. But uh two
and one postseason, here we go again. Best bet taking
the Paters plus one and a half. No Joannice in Milwaukee.
Excuse me, Patris plus one and a half. Going with
the t Wolves minus two and a half. They put
it on the Suns in Game one. I know the

(32:52):
Suns will be back much stronger. Excuse me, I don't
know what's going on here, and I got.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
The Clippers Pepper or something around.

Speaker 5 (33:00):
No, just I've been going through it.

Speaker 8 (33:02):
Chris Clippers minus one and a half at home game two. Uh,
that's one of the I questioned this one, thinking the
Mavericks gonna have to play better bounce back. Uh, but
I'm gonna go with the Clippers minus one and a half,
t Wolves minus two and a half and the Pacers
plus one and a half in Milwaukee. And remember, wow,

(33:23):
I'm not telling you who to bet on.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
I'm telling you who I bet on. Gig yup.

Speaker 8 (33:28):
Yeah, I'm not choking on this one. Were you eating
dinner with now?

Speaker 6 (33:36):
No?

Speaker 8 (33:36):
No, no, I just I've been I've been going I
think I have allergies. I don't think it's a cold
or anything. I've just been having like a nasal thing
going on.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
Okay, okay, all right, it is the eye couple of
Christ and Rob. Did you see now this game just
started the Timberwolves and the Suns.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Sons down oh one? Uh to the t Wolf t
wos A.

Speaker 6 (34:02):
Twenty five Yeah, and Anthony Edwards, one of the young
rising stars in the NBA. Rob scored thirty three points.
He was talking trash to Kevin Durant. Now it's in
good fun, or at least you know, he respects Durant.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
It's not that he doesn't like. He says Durant's his goat.

Speaker 11 (34:20):
Now.

Speaker 6 (34:20):
I don't know if that means just his favorite player
or the best average.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
That's what it means, right.

Speaker 6 (34:26):
Yeah, his favorite player probably, rob g is that did
you think you meant his favorite player or that he
thinks duran is actually the best player ever.

Speaker 13 (34:36):
I actually think that he thinks Durant is the greatest
player ever.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Oh wow.

Speaker 13 (34:40):
And the reason being is that nowadays, and this is
more prevalent in the current young crop of NBA players,
they don't seem as.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Driven as like the it's.

Speaker 5 (34:52):
Got to be championships.

Speaker 13 (34:53):
It's hey, this guy has the most complete bad, right,
And that's why Paul George's was so highly thought of,
Kyrie Irving as highly thought of, Kevin Durant as highly
thought of, because you know, as great as Lebron is,
his bag is nowhere near as deep as those guys.

Speaker 6 (35:08):
No, No, he'll just dunk you into the back exactly right,
or or make it great that David Robinson, Yeah, I
mean that's my thing, Robin. We'll get into this later,
but quickly. Who had you know more quote unquote skills.
I guess David Robinson A shack. Okay, David Robinson, I

(35:30):
still would take give me shock, thank you all day
he was.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
I don't care if he.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Runs the same drop step dunk every single time.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
You can't stop it.

Speaker 8 (35:38):
Can't stop it. It's like the Kareem skyhook. Go ahead,
give me that shot, you can. I've been waiting. I
will watch Kareem's career. I was waiting for somebody to
block it. I didn't see it. Did you see it?

Speaker 5 (35:50):
You?

Speaker 11 (35:50):
Rob?

Speaker 6 (35:51):
It is especially later in his career, maybe over the
second half of his career, it's hard to find that
Kareem taking another shot other.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
Than that sho No what your other shot is going
to make?

Speaker 4 (36:03):
I mean, you're right, like, come on, what are we
talking about? But anyway, Rob, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (36:08):
Did you see the clip of Anthony Edwards talking trash
to KD and KD laughing? Yes, I don't know where
you're at. You might disagree with me. I don't like
that response from KD. And I'm not saying it's the
biggest thing in the world, but this is not the
family barbecue. I'm your uncle, and you're the up and

(36:30):
coming young teenager talking trash to me on as we're
shooting in the driveway and I'm laughing.

Speaker 5 (36:36):
This is the Playoffs.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
You're beating us by sixteen and you talking trash to me.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
I'm like young and I'm about to school you.

Speaker 5 (36:48):
I don't like it.

Speaker 8 (36:50):
Here's your issue. Here's my issue with what your take is.
This is who these guys are. Chris, they vacation together,
they hang out together.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
Well, I don't know about him.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
I mean, I'm just talking about general in general.

Speaker 8 (37:03):
And that's a big issue of it, is that everything's
a big party and everybody's cool, and everybody's.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
This and that.

Speaker 8 (37:11):
Like I agree with you, like like there's no no,
I'm not entertaining that down sixteen Get out of my
face right like you got you got chocolate milk on
your breath, Get.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Out of my frost about Yes, I'm totally with you.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
I mean, and Rob Isaiah Thomas and Magic Johnson, we
know we're bosom buddies. When they got into the finals
and Magic had what do you throwing elbow?

Speaker 5 (37:38):
Isaiah? Right right?

Speaker 6 (37:42):
Oh okay, and I look it ruined their friendship. But
still I'm just saying you compete. We competing.

Speaker 5 (37:51):
Don't be talking to you.

Speaker 6 (37:52):
Talking to me, boy I was winning championships when you
were in junior high school.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
You better learn some manners the night
