our man rob first appearance of the year, Lamar Mitchell.
We'll be here at the bottom of the hour for
the pig skin pick. I can't wait to talk to him.
I need to talk to Lamar. I need to get
to Vegas. I haven't been to Vegas since January. Chris,
I'm ready to go a lot longer than that for me.
I need to I need to get there. We when
(01:15):
were we there for the fight.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
That was, no, but you and that for my birthday
in January. That's the last time we're in Vagas. Oh
was and that was January. That was But that's like
how many months? Eight nine months ago? It's been a while. Yeah, yeah,
well for you, I mean, yeah, you're right there.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Oh here, interesting Rob, that the the Eagles just did
the tush push. Wow Jason Kelsey, I'm sure waiting to
see it.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Certainly wasn't as strong.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
As it used to be with Kelsey, that's what. No,
it didn't work.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Wow, didn't marug.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
It was third down they missed done on third down.
But no, it didn't work and it didn't look any
rob g. Did you see it. It didn't look anything.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
I would I don't know if I would call that
the brotherly shove. It is like the brotherly you know,
fall to the ground and Touchah.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, it didn't look anything like it. But anyway, let's
get back to some football conversation, Rob and interesting stuff.
Now we know Colorado coached by Dion Sanders. Big game
against Nebraska tomorrow. Wow, that's gonna be a good one.
Of course, Nebraska has the quarterback they call Baby Mahomes
(02:27):
is that what they call him, baby Mahomes. Rayola is
his last what's his first name, Grob guh Dylan Rayola, Yeah, nice,
looks just like Mahomes and tries to look just like Mahomes.
But good player. But Nebraska's had a winning season in
like seven years. Matt rule of coach the coach there now,
(02:49):
But uh, I kind of think they'll beat Colorado and Colorado.
Dion of course, always talking, willing to talk. And they've
got the Travis hundred two way player, great wide receiver,
great cornerback, a lot of people talking about him, maybe
even winning the Heisman. And Dion, who knows a little
(03:14):
something about going both ways in the NFL, of course,
are probably the greatest defensive back cornerback ever and also
played a little bit. He didn't really go both ways,
but played, you know, a little bit of wide receiver
in the NFL. Here's what he said about Travis's chances
of playing both ways at the next level.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Former NFL players sit on these type of platforms and
all the kind of platforms that give them voice. Now
sit up there and say what this man can't do
at the next level. How stupid is that? How can
you say what a person can't do just because you
can't fathom it. Yeah, no one has seen a guy
go both ways like he goes and you say, well,
you can't do.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yes, he can. That's what he does. That's all he knows.
So how you gonna tell it? Man?
Speaker 6 (04:02):
What he can't do? And the scouts asks me every day,
what is he? I said, he's a football player. If
you put him on offense in the NFL and you
don't have him on defense, you're gonna look like a
fool because he's gonna be your best defensive player not playing,
and the same thing vice versa. So the best thing
for you to do is drafting them whatever and have
a package ready for him on the opposing side.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
All right, you heard it now, Rob g Was it
the Athletic that had an article about this?
Speaker 2 (04:27):
It was CBS Sports.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Right after these comments came out, which were actually less
than forty eight hours ago, CBS Sports caught up with
a few anonymous NFL personnel individuals and they asked him
about whether or not.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Now these are executives like executive Salid.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Well personnel peoples was how they described him. And they
spoke to two of them. One of them says quote
about the idea of Travis under plain both ways in
the NFL. There's no way at his size, in his
body frame that he could play seventeen games in the
NFL at over one hundred naps a game and really
maintain that level performance. Maybe there's someone that dabbles into
(05:08):
something like he's a full time receiver and then a
part time nickel on defense. Another scout who actually was
a little bit more optimistic, said this, I know several
scouts of that same opinion that he's a better receiver
prospect than he is a corner. When I watch him
this summer, I was thinking receiver over corner, and I
think it's ultimately gonna come down to where he wants
(05:30):
to play. But I think he can play both or
play either.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Well.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Rob he's listed at six ' one one eighty five.
Now Rob G doesn't think he's six to one. He
thinks he's more like five to ten either way, Right,
we see X cornerbacks. We used to see him all
the time at ESPN, We see him at FS one.
These dudes are not tall, They're not that big like
some of them. I'm bigger than You've seen that too,
(06:00):
And I know, it's amazing something, it really is. You're like,
my goodness, how this dude play in the NFL. But
their speed and you know a lot of corners aren't
great tacklers. Even Dion wasn't a great tackler. So they're
out there for their speed and the cover guys. But Rob,
what do you think of his chances of playing both
(06:21):
ways in the NFL?
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Slim to none.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
I just think you have too many people who just
aren't going to be open to it. It's almost like
the show, Hey, Chris, like a lot of people just.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
You know, were.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Not that gung ho about it either until you know,
the guy wind up doing it and then and the
only way you could get him was he went to
the Angels and they were going to allow him to
do it and obviously excelled. I think the NFL's tougher
playing that many snaps on both sides of the ball.
(06:58):
A little bit different, remember, I just like, like it
used to be done. We see it in up high school, right,
guys play the best athletes, they play both players.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
But that's so but that's yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
But it's but it's all it's eight games Chris and
it's not the same kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
If you're an NFL prospect, you're so much better.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
You know, That's what I'm saying. I just I just
don't think that it's gonna happen. I really don't.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah, I mean, Dion, like I said, did it a
little bit. Remember Roy Green, uh he in the eighties.
He did it for Saint Louis Carters a little bit.
I agree with you that, I mean, can you do
it and be I don't think somebody can be great
(07:49):
at both Rob and if I'm Travis Hunter. I get
that he wants to try, and I respect that, but
I would think Rob if he focuses on one, and
I do like him more as a receiver, I mean,
a cornerback is fine too. I mean, he's a top
prospect in either position, but I think I think he's
(08:14):
a better receiver. He obviously has great hands. The catch
he made a couple of weeks or was it last
week against North Dakota State was phenomenal. I don't care
that you're playing a Division one double a school. That
was a great catch with the dude draped all over him,
and really I thought it was past interference clearly, so
(08:37):
I think he's probably a better receiver prospect. But if
I'm Travis Hunter, Rob, I would rather be awesome at
one position than just solid at both. And I think
it's gonna be incredibly difficult for somebody to play in
the NFL and be like all Pro level or even
(09:01):
Pro Bowl level, consistent, Pro Bowl perennial Pro Bowl level
at both. I just I think that would be incredibly
difficult to do, just physically and even mentally.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, I do think that.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Trying to be great at both Chris is the issue.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
And why do you want to be great?
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Why not make a career and be great at the
one thing you do the best or the one thing
that you think you could excel because the only way.
And I know it's different than show. Hey, but Chris,
if he was a C, if he was a C pitcher,
he wouldn't be doing it, you know what I mean,
Like you wouldn't be doing it.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
He probably even if he had done it early, like
the last few years now he's hurt, you know, as
far as pitching, he probably would be done as a pitcher,
you know what I mean, even if they had let
him do it this first few years he gets hurt,
has Tommy John, and now he's he did have Tommy John,
didn't he show?
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Hey?
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, and he uh, you know, they probably wouldn't be
thinking of him as a picture anymore, Rob, They probably
just be saying, you're gonna hit the season he's had, right,
So yeah, Look, Dion makes a good point. I mean,
we didn't think it was possible to do what show
Hay is doing, and he's done it. So, but I
(10:26):
look as great as Travis Hunterry is, I don't and
this is no insult rap.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I don't think he's Deon Sanders like that level.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Deon Sanders arguably the greatest athlete in American history, arguably,
and I don't think this kid is that as great
as he is. So, and Dion didn't do it both
ways full time.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
So I don't know, Rob G, where are you at
on this? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (10:56):
I think it's unreasonable to expect him to be able
to play both ways in the NFL, and especially when
it's not like we haven't seen this even recently. In college,
you know, Miles Jackie UCLA played the linebacker and running back.
Chris Gamble Ohio State played receiver in corner. Charles Woodson
want right, right, right, And then even with Travis Hunter specifically,
(11:18):
not only is it, you know, the skill level of
being able to play at the highest level both offensive defense,
just being out there for one hundred plus snaps, the
risk of injury is much higher.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
So even last year, his first year.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Playing major college football, because you know, when you played
Jackson State wasn't the greatest athletes, no destruction of them.
He missed a month with the last rate of kidney right,
so it was a cheap shot. But I was sure
you're gonna be able to make it through an entire
season playing one hundred and thirty snaps a game. I
just don't think it's physically, you know, possible.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, yeah, I'm with you on that. If somebody wants
to give him a try at it, fine, But look
the NFL and guys see this at every position. I
mean Division I football at the top level is incredible,
and then you weed out the guys in that and
(12:14):
take the ultra elite, and that's what the next level is.
Guys always talk about the speed in the NFL, the
size in the NFL. It's not what he's facing right now.
It's not it's not even close. And so you're talking
about the fastest guys, the strongest guys, the most skilled
(12:36):
guys at the next level. And to think he's gonna
play the entire game going both ways and be better
than the defensive backs who are just focusing on that,
and better than the receivers who are just focusing on that.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
That's a lot to ask. That is a lot to chance.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
And I understand, Chris, you want to do something in
Dion's pushing for his guy, and yeah, you're doing it
in college. Not that many people are doing anything like that.
So I get all that, but it's a tall order.
And then Dionna's like, well, people up there saying what
he can't do or whatever, But that's what what what?
That's where the job of being an analyst. Dion was
(13:19):
an analyst.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
And we've never seen it.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
It's not like you know what I mean, Bunty, their
minds right, there's a reason people don't do it, right.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
These are the best athletes in the world and nobody
does it.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
And that's what I'm saying, Like he's making it like, oh,
how can they say that telling what another man can do?
Speaker 7 (13:34):
What?
Speaker 2 (13:34):
That's that's where they ask us do we think we could.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
You could do it right as I could disagree with
their opinion, but you can't rip on them for not
thinking it could be done right, right, all right?
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Eight seven seven ninety nine. On Fox, Packers just went
up twelve seven. It's a good game here in Brazil.
It's ten minutes left in the second quarter. Green Bay

Speaker 10 (15:42):
Hey?
Speaker 11 (15:42):
What's happening guys?

Speaker 11 (15:46):
I'm good man, I'm feeling good. You know, I'm just
happy to be on with y'all and cd' you're gonna leave?
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I know, yeah, man, it's just some other things I'm
gonna be doing Uh, I'll still be doing television, but
it's really a lifestyle move.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I'll be on the cage.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Robill probably won't want to have me on, but.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
No, we're gonna block you when uh the first thing
I do, Chris, when you leave this show.
Speaker 12 (16:16):
On Twitter, so you are no doubt definitely happened.
Speaker 11 (16:27):
But yeah, as far as Travis goes to me, I mean,
I see I see another kind of alpha over there,
you know.
Speaker 7 (16:34):
Across the fields.
Speaker 11 (16:36):
I see a pretty strong, you know, athletic guy that's
kind of down. You know, he's he's down to get
you know, physical Obviously that.
Speaker 13 (16:44):
Might take about Travis.
Speaker 7 (16:47):
Yeah, Travis, so you think you sounded.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
You think he can do it.
Speaker 11 (16:52):
I think he I know he can do it. It's
just how much, you know, it's a unicorn thing, you know,
how much you're gonna split the difference. I think both
might actually like help each other's skill set. It's just
how much as it can attack you like playing center field,
you know, playing receiver, playing cornerback, playing soccer, that's going
to give you different footwork, you know, like Kobe would
(17:14):
talk about different footwork that may help you at a
different sport where other people are sleeping on that, and
he I agree with.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
That, But can you be elite at both? Because he
wants to be elite, I'm sure. I don't know that
you can be elite at both, or even elite at
one and.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Really good.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
Yeah, at this level good, it would have happened by now.
Speaker 11 (17:39):
I think he I think both of like being a
cornerback or being a safety and being a receiver actually
like iron sharpens iron in this situation actually makes them
better at both. And he's going to be elite at both.
It's just like the situation you want to pick one
or you know, so he doesn't get hurt, so he
doesn't have so many plays in his career. But mritting
(18:00):
for the guy. I really I really like him from
Afar and I don't know, I see something and I'm
rooting for him.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
All right, Thanks b appreciate it. Dre and Michigan, you're
on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 10 (18:13):
What's up, Drake dudes was going on with fellas a man.
Oh man, I'm great, brother, I'm great, I'm great. I
think he can do it. Just from the standpoint launch
if you look at what Dion.
Speaker 7 (18:24):
Said, he said, you have to.
Speaker 10 (18:25):
Have a package to him, not meaning he's gonna be
doing it full time. If you want to bring him
in for a Gadget player wide receiver, yeah, but if
to play both ways consistently, no, you'll have a short
career and it wouldn't be beneficial for you monetarity.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
Like Chris said, you.
Speaker 10 (18:40):
Won't be elite at both. You can't be elited both
because you got a long drive on defense and you've
got a long drive.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
It's impossible just for the body's not gonna allow.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
It to happen.
Speaker 10 (18:50):
It's not gonna do it, and they're not gonna pay
you wouldn't even benefit you to do it. So, like
you say, concentrate on one and be great at that.
Love me what you've been done already.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
And what you said is what Dion did you know?
Occasionally they bring him in at receiver, you know, something
like that. But he was obviously primarily a cornerback. So yeah,
that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the call.
Morale in Connecticut. That's a name for Connecticut. Morall, you're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (19:20):
How are you guys going with my guys?
Speaker 2 (19:21):
We're doing great? Where in Connecticut. Are you the great
state of Connecticut where I went to college.
Speaker 10 (19:27):
I'm from Hartford, Connecticut.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Hartford, Okay, I went to heard of, Uh, Southern Tech
Connecticut School of Agriculture.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
That's where went. Yeah, that's where Southern Connecticut State University.
Chris Russard here it is.
Speaker 13 (19:48):
I think it's just quite silly that people make he
can play both lights of the ball.
Speaker 10 (19:51):
It's not going to happen.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
Most thing's gonna.
Speaker 13 (19:53):
By a wide receiver and it's not going to take
that chance having him played both sides, because it's not
going to happen.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yeah, we're richer. It's just I mean again, and I
think he's great, but it's just such a different level, man.
I mean, it'll be a challenge, and let's.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Keep it real.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
It's going to be a challenge for him to be
an elite at one of the positions.
Speaker 13 (20:21):
Absolutely, at just one, right, and.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
So I mean that's not guaranteed.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
So to do it at both it's just very, very
difficult to do, no doubt, Morrell.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Thank for the call. Appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
William in Mississippi, you're on the couple of Fox Sportuitio.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
What's up?
Speaker 13 (20:40):
Well, what's going on, good rob, thanks for taking the call.
Speaker 7 (20:43):
Many Yeah, Hey, I know we.
Speaker 13 (20:47):
Can see that Travis han is like an incredible talent man,
amazing athlete. But it's it's just it's not possible. I
don't think a lot of people understand just how fans
and strong in terms of these guys are the NFL
when you just stand and I think it's like five
hundred of some guys from like all these these college
schools go to the NFL like this is the elite,
the top of the top, Like it's just not possible.
(21:09):
And I think at this point, man, and this is
from a guy who was raised exact Simisi and the
alumni Jack State University, we all know DA to be
saying a lot of nothing like that. Guys just a salesman.
This is just used to bring more lights to Colorado,
to bring more eyes so he can possibly get a
high draft sick. I think it's just we all know
like what he says, it's I don't even know if
(21:32):
people leave this stuff he's saying anymore, Like he's just
he's just kind of get the saying stuff and the
sounds good. And it's if it's Foker bullets, like I
ain't man, Sin's just ride with it, man, you know,
but you know it's been proven over time and time again.
I would think the deal would know like that that
still level is is crazy and it's a lot of
toll on your body, man, like that's that's a lot man.
And and he's of a smaller guy. It like y'all
(21:53):
just said he like around sixty. I thought he was
actually telling that that makes it even harder, man.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
No question, no doubt. All right, thanks for the call.
Appreciate you, Lamar Mitchell.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
If Rob was writing a column, tell me I'm wrong
about Caitlin Clark, he'd.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Be like, stoping, she's gotta turnover problem. She's not that good.
I told you you would not write.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
The column about she should win the Pillsbury Turnover Award
or something. Trust me, I would write that lead that GIMVP,
how about that turnover of.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
The year exactly like that? All right, we welcome in
our man. He's getting We am Director of training and
feels like it's been we haven't seen yourself January. I'm
ready to come out there, Lamar, ready to host me?
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Can I come.
Speaker 7 (23:03):
Looking forward to all of you?
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Yes, you know I'm coming soon, Lamar.
Speaker 7 (23:08):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Now that he's off the radio show, him and his wife,
we're gonna go jet setting.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (23:14):
Absolutely, I'm sure he'll be hanging out of all the
club here.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
All right, my man, Lamar, Mitchell Rosman are man? All right,
let's get to it, Lamar. Before we look ahead to
this weekend, how'd you guys at betting GM do last night?
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Chiefs covering the three against Baltimore.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
I mean, I'm sure there were folks in the sportsbook
that were sweating bullets on that last right again.
Speaker 7 (23:45):
Oh yeah, absolutely. It was a good decision for the house.
With the Chiefs winning by seven. You know, if it
goes to overtime and it lands on three, the shops
were on the Ravens, the public was on the Ravens.
So all in all, with the total lane in forty seven,
the Chiefs government, it was a really really good decision
(24:06):
for us.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
All Right, here we go, let's do this one one
more from Here's another one before we get to Sunday?
Is that what the one Chris just read? Okay, I'm sorry,
I'm getting a little confused. All right, So I've read
this morning over a seventy percent of the action on
tonight's game. Right, Philly minus one and a half over
Green Bay. That means a little surprising to me, giving
that both teams played down the stretch the way that
(24:30):
they played, where the Packers won six of eight and
the Eagles lost six of seven. Is it safe to
say that the betters are back on the Philly bandwagon?
Speaker 7 (24:40):
Well, if you look at it, we did have sharp
action on the Packers earlier today, and the public also
was on the Packers, so for a little bit. But
if you want to really say what we need in
this game, we need the Eagles to cover the boys
better in this game. So you know, kind of balances
(25:01):
out with the sharps being on the Packers plus two
earlier today, and then you know the small ticket advantage
before the Eagles, but very very small from Joe public,
very very small, all right, lamar.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
My favorite stat of the weeks quarterbacks drafted number one
overall oh and fourteen and one outright and one in
fourteen against the spread in their first career starts this
day's back all the way to two thousand and three.
So with that in mind, how much action are you
seeing on the Titans plus four and a half against
(25:35):
Cayleb Williams and the Bears.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
We got a down at three and a half right now,
but it's it's the sharps and the public are on
the Titans have plus the money. Yeah, so it's it's
definitely coming in favor of the Titans. And that is
a really crazy, crazy stat that no number one quarterback
has won their first game out and so the public
(25:59):
knows that's like you found that out, Chris, and they're
definitely on the Titans.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
You know what, I'm gonna put money down on that game.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
I'm taking Caleb Williams that he bucks the trend and
actually wins his first game. But all right, I'm also
looking on the board and I see the Bengals are
holding pretty firm as eight and a half point favorites
to me since we found out today, right, A little
surprising because Tee Higgins is doubtful. Jamar Chase his self
(26:28):
proclaimed game time decision, do you expect to see some
sharp money coming in late on New England.
Speaker 7 (26:36):
Well, you know earlier, Joe Public is on this. It's
about even as far as the tickets, and the money
has been on the Patriots from Joe Public about ten
to one. But the Sharks have been bouncing around on.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
This game here.
Speaker 7 (26:50):
They've been taking the points, laying the points, and it's
if these Bengals do get all of a sudden healthy,
I expect the Sharks and on the Bengals on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
All right, Sunday Night Rams host the Lions in a
rematch of last year's great divisional game. I read today
that the Lions were eleven and six to the over
last year. That was the best in the league. So
how much action are you seeing on Detroit and the
over in this spot, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (27:20):
I believe it or not. Joe Public and the Sharps
are all on the Lions. Money's about ten to one
in favor of the Lions, and they did bet this
total over about two to one from Joe Public. So
everyone does like the over in this game. Really, there's
most of the games this weekend the total has been
(27:40):
bent down by the public and the Sharps, but this
is one of the few that we have that's been
bet up all right.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Dolphins, of course have been great against the Tomato Cans,
onder Mike McDaniel.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Last season they were eight and.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
One out right, nine and two versus the spread as
favorites this Sunday at three and a half point favorites
against the Jaggs.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
What kind of action are we seeing on Miami for
this one?
Speaker 7 (28:04):
Well, you better believe the money is about three to
one in favor of the Dolphins. Like you said, they
really get up against these teams that they're supposed to be.
And the ticket account Joe Public no sharp baction on
this game, believe it or not, but Joe Public about
five to one in favor of the Dolphins on the
ticket count here. So just like you said, they definitely
(28:24):
are the beaters of the I don't know what.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
You want to call them, the Tomato Cans, Tomato cans, right, yeah.
Speaker 7 (28:33):
Definitely, I mean public definitely, money wise and Ticke account
all on the Dolphins right here.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Lamar Mitchell bet mgim, director of trading, joining us here
at the I couple. Jim Harbaugh his debut as the
Chargers head coach. Currently there three point favorites against the Raiders.
Are you seeing any sharp money on the Raiders in
what you know should be a de facto home game
for them in Los Angeles, no.
Speaker 7 (29:02):
Believe it or not. I mean, you know the Raiders,
they travel well, and you know the fan base here
they bet them. But really it's been about the ticket
count has been even on this and the money only
is about two to one in favor of the Chargers,
and no sharp money on this right now, no sharp money.
They did bet this total down from forty three and
(29:25):
a half down to forty or forty and a half,
which where we're at right now, but everyone's betting the
total under, but nothing on the side.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Here so far, all right, And last one for me
at least, the Cowboys and Browns were two of the
Stindia's defenses last season, and that's probably a big reason
why the total was bet down from forty three and
a half all the way down to forty one or
betters not believers in Dak Prescott, Deshan Watson and these
(29:54):
two offenses.
Speaker 7 (29:56):
I see the Sharps have been betting this total down
since we open this, and I think that would have
to say going with the defenses, and it might be
a combination of is a quarterback play for Cleveland with
Deshaun Watson, which Deshaun Watson are we going to get?
But as far as the side and the money, Joe
Public and the Sharps, they did take the Cowboys plus
(30:19):
one and a half earlier in the year when we
had to give him up earlier. And the money is
about two to one in favor of the Cows and
about two to one and tickets in favor of the Cows.
So but the total, the public and the Sharps are
all on this total going under the forty three and
a half which is originally open at all right, that's.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Our man, Lamar Mitchell, bet MGM's director of trading. Take
what he's says seriously when you place your bets, all right, Lamar,
great stuff is away, great to have you. Wait to
see you out in Vegas soon.
Speaker 7 (30:50):
Looking forward to it, and I hope you some guys
real soon.
Speaker 1 (30:53):

Speaker 5 (31:54):
That's right, it is the NFL Big Skin Pickoff. Chris
and roppint NFL games against the spread. It's a new season,
rob G. I got a text from kelvin Washington.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Yes, sir, who will be joining us here on the
Odd Couple on Monday, August sixteenth, September sixteenth, September sixteenth.
I'm sorry, and he says Chris's pick shouldn't count against
him the first two weeks.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
That's all.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
He'd be lucky if he got. I am the defending champion.
Am I the two time defending champion? No no, I
won two out of three. I won two out of three.
Chris is the two out of three champion.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
We've We've been on the show for six years. We
had lost the other one, so one year got lost?
Did we not do it the first few years? We
must not have done one? What do you mean if
you have to one?
Speaker 3 (32:42):
You want one?
Speaker 2 (32:42):
I won too, you want one.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Chris Is won two of the last three years, but
Rob Parker the last two years. Week one ten and
oero against the spread. No pressure here, rob any.
Speaker 14 (32:54):
I get to retire. I'm retiring. As as the champ.
I guess I've had an idea Week one, Week one
works for me. Christ Well, it's too bad. There's eighteen
weeks to the season. I bet his own money in
Week one. You know it was off at the rest
of the season. I'm gonna get fat and sassy.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
All right. Here we go, Game number one, Cardinals at
the Bills.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
Bill six and a half point home favors at the
time that we picked these games, Chris, are you taking?
Speaker 1 (33:22):
I think the Bills win, but I don't think they cover.
Arizona's gonna be sneaky good. Kyler Murray looked good at
the end of last season. Obviously, they added Marvin Harrison junior,
you know, and I think they're well coached, at least
they looked like it last year. So I've got Buffalo
winning outright, but Arizona covers.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
I'm going with Arizona. I don't like this game.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
I wouldn't put any money on it, but I'm gonna
take Buffalo and they win by a touchdown only because
they got a lot to play for this season. This
is a big year and they need to get off
to a good start. I'm gonna just say one touchdown
that they went by.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
All right, Game number two, All these odds right by
BETGM lamar Mitchell and the Fellas Titans at the Bears.
Caleb Williams is rookie debut three and a half point
home favorite Rob Parker.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I'm all over this. I'm Caleb all of Chris. I'm
gonna dig deep. I'm gonna take my roles of quarters.
I'm gonna go all in. I'm all in on the
Bears on this one. I don't like the Titans.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Wow. I thought lamar Mitchell might have convinced you. No,
when everybody's betting one way, sometimes.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Chris, that's a clear sign, just like it's overwhelming one
way because of you know, the fourteen and one.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
At some point that's gotta get snapped. I'll say it
gets snapped.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
I like, look, I don't want to overstate Tennessee's, you
know what type of season they'll have, but I think
people are sleeping too much on them. I think they
they had a really good offseason, added some very good players.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Did they get a new quarterback? No, but I mean
Will Levis was a rookie and he you know, he
was okay. I just he didn't get a chance. And
then they got Their offensive line.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Has always been a problem, at least lately, but they've
got a great offensive line coach now.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
So I'm going with Tennessee to shock people. Chris, like,
Will Levis loves mayonnaise. Game number three. That's right, stealer,
that's his thing. That is his thing.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
Steelers out the Falcons, Falcons three to that point. Home
favorites Kirk Cousins home debut in Atlanta.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
You're like on this one, Chris, you know what, it's
hard to go against Mike Tomlin when you know they're
not Atlanta's not a great team. Although I do think
they're gonna win that division, but their quarterback situation is
so in flux, and you know, neither Russell or Justin
fields just look great even when they've been healthy.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
So I'm going with Atlanta. Yeah, I mean that's the
logical pick. Again. It makes sense, Chris because of the quarterback,
and you just don't know. Actually, you know what.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
Quickly, I'm three and I think I'm gonna go with
Pittsburgh to cover. I think Atlanta wins by three, So
I'm gonna go out with Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
I'm gonna take it. I wanted to say I'm gonna
take Atlanta in that game.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Okay, I thought you might say Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
I want to take.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
All right, Quickly, last two Cowboys at the Browns Deshaun
Watson and the Fellas two and a half point home
favorites against dak Rob Parker.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Who do you like another game? Oh god, he's a one. Yeah,
he's are tough. I'm gonna I'm just gonna take the
home team here, uh, based on their defense. I'm gonna
take the home team, and I'm gonna go with the Browns.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
I'm going with Dallas. I think Dallas is better than Cleveland.
I know they had a terrible off season, but I
just think there's still the I think people are now
almost overstating how bad they think Dallas will be.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
So I got the Cowboys all right?
Speaker 5 (36:48):
Last one big skin pickoff quickly rams at Lions rematch
of the playoffs, Lions four and a half point on favorites,
chrisy do you like?
Speaker 1 (36:55):
I'm going with Detroit because I know Rob won't. So
I like the Lions at home. I know Stafford, you know,
he might play well in that building. But I'm going
with Detroit.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
This is a hard one for me.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
I'm caught between a rock and a hard Padford or
the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
I'm gonna take the Lambs over the Lions. You probably,
like you, you would like to be a zero zero time.
That would be great. That would be great. We are
our game. That's a that's crazy? Did that? I mean,
that's a rarity that all five are different. Someone's going
five and oh someone's going to five. All right, y'all
(37:38):
we out perce
