Me say this, Okay, people they love to oh Jerry,
great businessman, A Cowboys, most valuable franchises, sports, blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah. They were always before Jerry Bartom.
It was about the Cowboys, even before he bought them.
Fair It's almost impossible to batch owning the Cowboys and

making money. I'm serious with the NFL with the way
that that franchise because it ain't. They haven't made money
off of winning, So you can't look at it and
go he built it up.

They were nothing.

Jerry got there and he built up the Cowboys, and
look at all the money they make.

No, it's exact opposite.

They continue to lose for the last thirty years, but
they keep making money because of the franchise, football and
being in Dallas and the history of it that happened
long before Jerry Jones ever bought the team. But one
constant for sure is that since he took over and

sent h Jimmy Johnson packing, they haven't done anything. And
I know they won the one championship with Barry Switzer
or the year after he left, but.

That was with Jimmy Johnsons. This team was already there.

They won a championship, they came back, they ran it back,
and they had Barry Switzer at the head.

And Barry Switzer didn't do anything.

Just keep doing what you were doing last year when
y'all wanted the ball right and then that was it.
Barry Switz would do anything after that, No, he did not.
We ain't seen him since we have not. So my
point is, Jerry Jones, that the Cowboys are one and two.
Awful performances at home in the last two games. Don't
forget about that terrible playoff game against Green Bay when

they got steamrolled in their own building. They have won
sixteen straight regular season games and now they've lost three straight, yep,
in their building. And don't be fooled by the score
against Baltimore. They got dominated, okay, And so they're one
and two, and I guess people are criticized and it's
saying it's Jerry's fault, and Jerry was so nice to

tell everybody that, yeah, he'll take some of the blame.

who was to blame for the one and two stars,
the players in.

I think Jerry Jones is one of the worst owners
in sports. And I know that they had a dynasty
when they won three out of four when he first
took over and all that played out. But really, when
you think about the money that this franchise has, right
the cashet it has, where people would want to play

in Dallas. Look at all the quarterbacks if you go
play in Dallas. Tony Romo's making seventeen eighteen million dollars,
He didn't have a great NFL career, didn't win any
Super Bowls. To die, it's a Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott
making sixty million dollars, hasn't won Jack.

All right, hit my point, yep, last point.

Jerry hasn't done anything to forward the franchise or to
do anything. He has been the one that hurt the franchise.
I think he's one of the worst owners in sports.

You know how we talk about players and we say
that like there's this stuff on the field or off
the field, or on the court on the court. So
I think with Jerry Jones, if we go off the field,
if you will, I'm gonna disagree with you on the
ownership part, because listen, you can have something great and
that thing can die or that thing can be less relevant.

I'm not saying they would have fall off the earth
right now? What did he do to change the fortunes
of the Cowboys? Give me?

I just want you to give me one example of
something Jerry did that was innovative that changed the Cowboys
the more value.

What's the name of that stadium at and T, what's
the what do we call it? Don't play Jerry's world.
Jerry's world. We call it Jerry's world. All these events
are held there. You talk about what he's done for
the league with getting TV deals, not just for dallity
he do it or the league he's saying no, no, no,
But he's spearheads if you listen, listen, he's on the
committee for that right. All groups have leaders, and you

hear time and time again that he ends up being
the leader in the room. They all turn and look
to Jerry when there's contract negotiation, bargaining deals, TV deals.
How do we handle this, whether you like it or not.
I mean, somehow he even got in the middle of
the dagone kneeling controversy. Right is Colin Kaepernick? Who's the next?
More it's important person we talk about Jerry Jones. Are

the Cowboys gonna do this? What a most shows lead
with the Cowboys? I don't give it that but not
just happened on a Sunday. But that don't have nothing
to do with Jim I'm talking about. It does have
something to do with you. It ain't the players, it
ain't the ex's and oh you.

Can't honestly point to anything, is what I'm trying to say.
When you talk about a team of being innovative or
changing somebody's fortune, the Cowboys will always big and always.

And they started to slump and become less relevant, not irrelevant,
but what nobody thinking about the Cowboys an eighty two,
three four five era, other teams the forty nine ers
started America's team know right and nobody right? And rob
as you know, as a business owner, if you don't
stay popping, if you don't stay relevant, you can fall off.

And if he's done nothing else, he at least keeps
them relevant. Now for the wrong reasons, it ends up
being the fact that we're talking about him to no
avail me. They don't win, they don't do anything. I
agree with you on that, but I won't say on
the field actions, yes, bad owner. Things aren't great. Off
the field, I'm not gonna act like he hasn't done
great for the league and becomes a hot topic. Now,

now let's get to some of the stuff I will say.
I was actually shocked to hear him say that's fair,
considering just a week or two ago when he was saying,
can't nobody do this job as good as me? And
no one else's qualified as me? You know, I know
what I'm talking about. I've been in every position. I
know what the game needs, I know what this team needs.
So I by actually shot to hear him turn around
and say that's fair. That blew me away. To be

honest with you, now, what makes the Cowboys a bad situation?
Has you ever had that friend, Rob g Alex, You
might be that friend in this situation, actually, Elijah, where
you're like going out to the club, you're hanging out
and they always got something to say.

They always would, and they might not even.

Be trying to be rude, but they might say, look
at that dude over there, that's a terrible outfit. You're like, hey, hey, hey, hey,
because now we might get no fun. Hey man, that's
his girl. She ain't hot? Hey, whoa whoa? And you
feel like we might have to get into a fight
or we might have to get in something because that
person always talks you in and still talk some stuff.
That's Jerry Jones. I know it's team and his players
gotta be like, yo, can you just relax? Can you

just chill? Can you stop putting these expectations. We know
where I to maybe good at best, stop making us
like we're super Bowl contenders, especially when you spun the
block like an ex girlfriend going to get Ezekiel Elliott.
If that's the best you got me in the offseason,
somebody we already had Ceedee Lamb.

He just gave him some money.

Dak, we already had just gave a bunch of money,
and you went and got Ezekie Elliott. Now we have
the worst run one of the best, worst run defenses
and run offenses.

When it comes to the on field stuff, here's there's
no innovation there. There's no identity there with that team.
What do they do? There's no identity with the Cowboys
at least if you knew, Like for instance.

I'll give you this, there's only two teams that haven't
been to an NFC haven't been to a conference title
game since nineteen ninety six. Can you name the two teams?
Only two teams?

Well, clearly the Cowboys, you know it, that's coming off
to Super Bowl, right.

They haven't been to an NFC.

I've never been to a conference title game since nineteen
ninety six.

There's only two teams, the.

Cowboys and the horrendous Washington Football team or whatever they
call them. So that should tell you what company you
keep that every other team, even the Jacksonville Jaguars championship
game and they lost in uh in Foxboro. It probably
would cheated on in that game, but they lost. And

my point is this is what Jerry running the Cowboys
like a mom and pop store. And all I'm saying is,
if you want to give him credit and say, oh,
he's done something like, you can look at people and
look at a team and say, uh, things are bad
and somebody comes along and they fix it and they

do stuff, and they start signing people and they got
higher football people and they make the right decisions and
hire coaches and all that. Jerry just hasn't done it.
And that's my point is that with the resources, with
the name, with the clout, with everything that goes with
the Cowboys, they got all of these people on television,
right Their former quarterbacks are all the big television analysts,

Jason j all these all Cowboys people, they all got
all the big jobs, all this stuff. And Ewen and
Washington haven't been to a conference championship since nineteen ninety six,
which coincides with you getting rid of your football people
and you deciding to take over that's all I'm saying.

have to be a genius to know that we signing
Ezekiel Elliott was.

Ridiculous when you had good, two great backs available, and
he says the teams were ten billion. He says that
he didn't have money to sign Derek to get Derrick Henry.

with three hundred plus past yards and three pass touchdowns
in the game. You know who the other one was.

But if you're Joe Burrow and that Bengals team that
everybody keeps saying, if Joe Burrow's healthy, that's the team.
If Joe Burrow's healthy, that can be the kryptonite to
the Kansas City Chiefs. If Joe Burrow's healthy, well, Joe
Burrow's healthy, he's play. He's played pretty well this season,
especially last night, but they haven't gotten the job done.

And we had a from Salamo on not too long
ago talking about, Look, you had some offseason distraction to Higgins,
just hurt Jamar Chase wanted to get his money get paid.
Maybe guys aren't focused, and you know there's just one little,
little fine attention to detail. If you don't pay in
this league, you can find yourself on a losing end
of a bunch of games and starting off a season
you don't want. And they're about a loss away from

pretty much eliminating themselves. I mean, he's practically History says
it's not happening.

We all know they're talented, and we feel like there's
a possibility if they lose one more in the next
one or two games, if they don't reel off three
or four straight, they're out of this thing.

No, they're in a tough spot because you gotta remember
Pittsburgh's three and oh yeah they're owing three, and you
know they got Baltimore. Yeah, and then Cleveland hasn't played
that well. Can they play better? It's a tough division,
so you really can't afford, especially to lose another one
or fall behind, uh you know, and and be oh

and four or oh and five, because then you're going
to be in trouble. And History is definitely stacked up
against the Bengals as they try to save this season
and make the postseason ready for the number hit me
only four of one hundred and sixty two teams that
started oh and three, that's two and a half percent.

Since nineteen ninety So that's how hard it is. Two
and a half percent teams and the only team that
has done it since two thousand, which is zero point
six percent, right where the Texans were able to do it.
They pulled it off six years ago, but it was
a twenty year gap before them nineteen ninety two. Chargers
also the only oh to four team to make the

playoffs in the NFL. So it's really difficult you go
oh and four. Only the Chargers have done it once,
Like nobody does it. It's it becomes too big of
a hill to climb. But the one thing is if
you're Cincinnati and is that Joe Burrow's healthy and.

He looked great. He ate it without a doubt.

So the interesting thing is they continue to have these
slow starts we know about under their head coach Zach Taylor.

This is their third consecutive season that they began zero
and two. Now the other ones they won the game
the third game, so they ended up being you know,
one and two, and then obviously they roll off and
get things going and get have.

A better season.

There's a big difference between and as you mentioned, listen,
Baltimore is gonna get right. I think all of us
believe that they'll get this thing roll and they'll reel off,
you know, win four out of five, five out of
seven games, and then read right back where they want
to be. And Pittsburgh looks really good right now, really strong,
And as you mentioned with Cleveland, you just don't know.

Does Dashaun Watson get right?
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Maybe maybe not, But either way, you don't want to
get too far behind in the conference where you mess
around and can't get in the postseason. And ultimately I
have Joe Burrow, you know, and I have Jamar chasing
these young guys who are talented. I'm postseason is every year,
that's the minimum getting in the postseason. That is already
all right, we're in the postseason. How far are we
gonna go? We're in the postseason. Can we get the

Super Bowl? We're in the postseason? Can we win a
super Bowl? That's pretty much the only thing they're operating on.
So disappointing start for them, for sure. I know people
in Cincinnati are sick. Well, Garry On the comedian shot
to him, he's sick.

He is, really, I believe it because when you think
of it, and he has been on the show before,
but they will have high expectations. The only time they
haven't done well is when Joe Burrow's been hurt. True,
over the last few years. That guy came in, Remember
he only played like six or seven games his rookie year.
Come back the next year and go to the Super

Bowl and beat Mahomes in the Chiefs at Borroughhead. I mean,
he's had an impressive run. Can't can't stay healthy though, yep,
And that's and that's what they've been banking going. They
finally get him back, and you know, he says, Look,
he says, this season isn't over yet, you know what
I mean.

I mean, he's just talking because that what you say that.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Well, no, I actually believe. There's a few people who
say stuff like that. I actually believe because I think again,
we started owing to the last couple of seasons.

Uh, you look at it, and he's the type.

He's talent enough, and the offense is starting to get
rolling enough where you say, hey, look we mess around
and you know, win six of our next eight. Okay,
now we might be talking, right, where we're in this
thing a little bit. You know, we got a shot
at it. So I think that's what he's saying, and
he truly believes it. And again, they gave that type
of team that can run off and win some games,
but they put themselves behind the eight ball, and you

just mentioned how history is absolutely against them for sure.

We gotta just we'll just start with the bills. Rob Parker,
we started our show today. He just pretty much blasted
the Bills, pretty much said he don't want to hear
nothing to do with the Bills. I don't care what
they do. I lowly, ja, you speak for yourself.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
I'm just saying, Steve that Josh Allen is regular season
dead to me. And basically I've seen this. I know
he's a great quarterback. We need this in the postseason.
Jacksonville didn't even show up. I mean, what did we
learned from last night?
Speaker 8 (21:16):
Well, what we know is we learned a little bit
more about what we thought the Bills would be. I
think the only surprising thing about the Bills is how
their defenses play. And they had so much turnover back there.
They lost Poyer and High, they lost your Davius White,
Matt Mulano, they're all Pro is not in there. Bernard
is not in there. Terrell Bernard is not in there.
(21:37):
Both starting inside linebackers are down with injury. They've got
a ton of new guys.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
On this defensive roster. So we thought that this thought
we knew this offense was gonna be good, and thought
they would probably have to carry the team along for
the first month until the defense figured it out and
started finding their way. Well, it didn't look like this
offense is better than we thought it was going to be,
and the defense has played better than we thought it
(22:07):
could even if the starters were in there. They're turning
out sacks, they're turning out turnovers, They're tough, they don't
let you get down the field on they don't give
up big plays. And a couple that with an offense
that's as efficient as the Bills are right now, and man,
they're tough out and that's the way it looks right now.
(22:27):
You're right. I mean, this is the regular season. We
have seen this before, but this does feel a little
different to most people who watch this team. We've never
seen it look And I know Jacksonville, I mean, they
got problems and they're not playing well.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Doug Peter's lucky to have a job. For real. That
was awful last night.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
Yeah, yeah, it is. And I was surprised by that
because Jacksonville has always played the Bills real rough. I mean,
they're tough. The front matches up with Bills, or has
in the past. But that last night was not the
Jacksonville team that I thought we were gonna get before
that game kicked off.

if it's the Ravens next week, so so be it.
That's what they've done. I want to ask you this.
If they look this good. You mentioned the defense, better
than expected, offense is doing we expected Josh Allen, possibly
an MVP season for him. Who do you look at
in the AFC? Is it simply the Chiefs? Is it
maybe the Steelers? Is it the Ravens? Who do you
say that's the team that I got they have to

worry about.

Well until somebody, you know, proves otherwise. It's it's gonna
be the same, the same old characters we've seen the
last two or three year. It's gonna be the Bills,
the Ravens, it's gonna be the chief gonna and I
would say probably too. I thought it was gonna be uh,
and it's I thought it was gonna be Cincinnati. Not

player here and for all the other stuff that gets

guys saying, hey, they love they like Steph. He was
a great dude. He was a he was a big personality.

He had a large voice, no question about it, and
just like most good receivers, he wanted the ball. But
I haven't heard anything that says, Josh and Steph don't
like each other or don't don't love each other. And
I don't think Josh has it in him to be
kind of spiteful sticking a guy. I think he was
talking about the guys, about the guys in the room
this year. I don't think he had anything in his

under the shelf towards Diggs. I think this was all
about the guys here. And I'll say this too, I've
been on teams that have changed over year over year.
When you do have changes, particularly, I mean Josh only
had one guy coming back, Khalil Shakir, who has caught
a pass from him in a game in the wide
receiver room. I mean he completed, you know, a pass

to one of these guys who are out there with
him now. So I think in those situations, all these
players you notice, You notice how it is now and
what's different about it from where it's been. It's not
really a dig on how it was last year because
they had a good season last year. Man there was
a two seed in the conference. I think he was

talking more about what they noticed about how different they
are this year, not that they thought last year sucked.

in the tank. Then you get this young player in
Justin Fields who's playing well, you're three and zero. How

think the guys, really, all of them, and he may

you know, because some of them might feel like Russ
gives a better chance and some might feel like Justin
deserves it, or that he gives them a better chance.
But that's how they feel. They they could not possibly
care less if they hurt somebody's feelings. They want the

best guy out there, because everybody goes out there as
risking life and you know it's gonna hurt, right, right,
I mean, you get what you're going to bang into people,
You're gonna hurt after this game. You don't want to
hurt for a team or for a quarterback who's not
the best option on your roster. You want the best
guy out there. If they put the best guy out there,
you'll go to war with the guy because you believe

it too. The problem with the Steelers is, I don't
know that every guy in the locker room believes one
or the other is the best guy, right. I don't
know that the whole team believes Justin Fields is the guy,
or that Russ Wilson's the guy. If they do, you
can bet Mike Tomlin knows it. And when push comes
to shove, that's the guy that's going to be out there.

It's going to be the guy that they think gives
them the best chance. And no is gonna get caught
up in hurting anybody's.

that that franchise because it ain't. They haven't made money
off of winning, So you can't look at it and
go he built it up.

long before Jerry Jones ever bought the team. But one
constant for sure is that since he took over and

I know they won the one championship with Barry Switzer
or the year after he left, but.

That was with Jimmy Johnsons. This team was already there.

and they had Barry Switzer at the head.

play in Dallas. Tony Romo's making seventeen eighteen million dollars,
He didn't have a great NFL career, didn't win any
Super Bowls. To die, it's a Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott
making sixty million dollars, hasn't won Jack.

Jerry hasn't done anything to forward the franchise or to
do anything. He has been the one that hurt the franchise.
I think he's one of the worst owners in sports.

that like there's this stuff on the field or off
the field, or on the court on the court. So
I think with Jerry Jones, if we go off the field,
if you will, I'm gonna disagree with you on the
ownership part, because listen, you can have something great and
that thing can die or that thing can be less relevant.

I'm not saying they would have fall off the earth
right now? What did he do to change the fortunes
of the Cowboys? Give me?

I just want you to give me one example of
something Jerry did that was innovative that changed the Cowboys
the more value.

What's the name of that stadium at and T, what's
the what do we call it? Don't play Jerry's world.
Jerry's world. We call it Jerry's world. All these events
are held there. You talk about what he's done for
the league with getting TV deals, not just for dallity
he do it or the league he's saying no, no, no,
But he's spearheads if you listen, listen, he's on the
committee for that right. All groups have leaders, and you

hear time and time again that he ends up being
the leader in the room. They all turn and look
to Jerry when there's contract negotiation, bargaining deals, TV deals.
How do we handle this, whether you like it or not.
I mean, somehow he even got in the middle of
the dagone kneeling controversy. Right is Colin Kaepernick? Who's the next?
More it's important person we talk about Jerry Jones. Are

the Cowboys gonna do this? What a most shows lead
with the Cowboys? I don't give it that but not
just happened on a Sunday. But that don't have nothing
to do with Jim I'm talking about. It does have
something to do with you. It ain't the players, it
ain't the ex's and oh you.

Can't honestly point to anything, is what I'm trying to say.
When you talk about a team of being innovative or
changing somebody's fortune, the Cowboys will always big and always.

And they started to slump and become less relevant, not irrelevant,
but what nobody thinking about the Cowboys an eighty two,
three four five era, other teams the forty nine ers
started America's team know right and nobody right? And rob
as you know, as a business owner, if you don't
stay popping, if you don't stay relevant, you can fall off.

And if he's done nothing else, he at least keeps
them relevant. Now for the wrong reasons, it ends up
being the fact that we're talking about him to no
avail me. They don't win, they don't do anything. I
agree with you on that, but I won't say on
the field actions, yes, bad owner. Things aren't great. Off
the field, I'm not gonna act like he hasn't done
great for the league and becomes a hot topic. Now,

now let's get to some of the stuff I will say.
I was actually shocked to hear him say that's fair,
considering just a week or two ago when he was saying,
can't nobody do this job as good as me? And
no one else's qualified as me? You know, I know
what I'm talking about. I've been in every position. I
know what the game needs, I know what this team needs.
So I by actually shot to hear him turn around
and say that's fair. That blew me away. To be

honest with you, now, what makes the Cowboys a bad situation?
Has you ever had that friend, Rob g Alex, You
might be that friend in this situation, actually, Elijah, where
you're like going out to the club, you're hanging out
and they always got something to say.

They always would, and they might not even.

Be trying to be rude, but they might say, look
at that dude over there, that's a terrible outfit. You're like, hey, hey, hey, hey,
because now we might get no fun. Hey man, that's

feel like we might have to get into a fight
or we might have to get in something because that
person always talks you in and still talk some stuff.
That's Jerry Jones. I know it's team and his players
gotta be like, yo, can you just relax? Can you

just chill? Can you stop putting these expectations. We know
where I to maybe good at best, stop making us
like we're super Bowl contenders, especially when you spun the
block like an ex girlfriend going to get Ezekiel Elliott.
If that's the best you got me in the offseason,
somebody we already had Ceedee Lamb.

like a mom and pop store. And all I'm saying is,
if you want to give him credit and say, oh,
he's done something like, you can look at people and
look at a team and say, uh, things are bad
and somebody comes along and they fix it and they

No, they're in a tough spot because you gotta remember

or fall behind, uh you know, and and be oh

and four or oh and five, because then you're going
to be in trouble. And History is definitely stacked up
against the Bengals as they try to save this season
and make the postseason ready for the number hit me
only four of one hundred and sixty two teams that
started oh and three, that's two and a half percent.

Since nineteen ninety So that's how hard it is. Two
and a half percent teams and the only team that
has done it since two thousand, which is zero point
six percent, right where the Texans were able to do it.

one and two, and then obviously they roll off and

Baltimore is gonna get right. I think all of us
believe that they'll get this thing roll and they'll reel off,

And as you mentioned with Cleveland, you just don't know.

Maybe maybe not, But either way, you don't want to
get too far behind in the conference where you mess
around and can't get in the postseason. And ultimately I

that's the minimum getting in the postseason. That is already
all right, we're in the postseason. How far are we
gonna go? We're in the postseason. Can we get the

super Bowl? That's pretty much the only thing they're operating on.
So disappointing start for them, for sure. I know people

of it, and he has been on the show before,
but they will have high expectations. The only time they
haven't done well is when Joe Burrow's been hurt. True,

Bowl and beat Mahomes in the Chiefs at Borroughhead. I mean,
he's had an impressive run. Can't can't stay healthy though, yep,

rolling enough where you say, hey, look we mess around
and you know, win six of our next eight. Okay,

at it. So I think that's what he's saying, and
he truly believes it. And again, they gave that type
of team that can run off and win some games,
but they put themselves behind the eight ball, and you

the Bills, pretty much said he don't want to hear
nothing to do with the Bills. I don't care what
they do. I lowly, ja, you speak for yourself.

I'm just saying, Steve that Josh Allen is regular season
dead to me. And basically I've seen this. I know
he's a great quarterback. We need this in the postseason.
Jacksonville didn't even show up. I mean, what did we
learned from last night?
Speaker 8 (21:16):
Well, what we know is we learned a little bit
more about what we thought the Bills would be. I
think the only surprising thing about the Bills is how
their defenses play. And they had so much turnover back there.
They lost Poyer and High, they lost your Davius White,
Matt Mulano, they're all Pro is not in there. Bernard
is not in there. Terrell Bernard is not in there.
(21:37):
Both starting inside linebackers are down with injury. They've got
a ton of new guys.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
On this defensive roster. So we thought that this thought
we knew this offense was gonna be good, and thought
they would probably have to carry the team along for
the first month until the defense figured it out and
started finding their way. Well, it didn't look like this
offense is better than we thought it was going to be,
and the defense has played better than we thought it
(22:07):
could even if the starters were in there. They're turning
out sacks, they're turning out turnovers, They're tough, they don't
let you get down the field on they don't give
up big plays. And a couple that with an offense
that's as efficient as the Bills are right now, and man,
they're tough out and that's the way it looks right now.
(22:27):
You're right. I mean, this is the regular season. We
have seen this before, but this does feel a little
different to most people who watch this team. We've never
seen it look And I know Jacksonville, I mean, they
got problems and they're not playing well.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Doug Peter's lucky to have a job. For real. That
was awful last night.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
Yeah, yeah, it is. And I was surprised by that
because Jacksonville has always played the Bills real rough. I mean,
they're tough. The front matches up with Bills, or has
in the past. But that last night was not the
Jacksonville team that I thought we were gonna get before
that game kicked off.

That's what they've done. I want to ask you this.
If they look this good. You mentioned the defense, better
than expected, offense is doing we expected Josh Allen, possibly
an MVP season for him. Who do you look at
in the AFC? Is it simply the Chiefs? Is it
maybe the Steelers? Is it the Ravens? Who do you
say that's the team that I got they have to

worry about.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Well until somebody, you know, proves otherwise. It's it's gonna
be the same, the same old characters we've seen the
last two or three year. It's gonna be the Bills,
the Ravens, it's gonna be the chief gonna and I
would say probably too. I thought it was gonna be uh,
and it's I thought it was gonna be Cincinnati. Not
(24:10):
so much now, although their offense is still gonna be
the offense with Joe Burrow and those guys. They you know,
they hung thirty plus points last night.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
I was gonna say, you scored thirty three points at home, right, Steve,
and you don't win.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
I mean that's heartbreaking.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Yeah, that's a problem. So their defense is gonna have
to figure it out now. We they're not gonna fall
off the mat. They ain't gonna go with seventeen. But
the question is are they going to go three and
fourteen or are they gonna go seven and nine? Are
they gonna go nine and seven? Are they gonna find
themselves and put it put it together late? That's the question.
But those you know, until until they're mathematically out of it,

you don't want to still don't want to play the
Cincinnati Bengals because they're gonna be a problem. Uh. If
your offense stubs its toe, they'll outscore you. We saw
that last night. So those are the same. Those are
the teams. I think they're to be there, just like
we thought. I don't know that anybody Houston. I think
you know, yeah, had an off night. There's still a
pretty good football team. So those are the ones you

can bet are still going to be part of this
when when it comes to a close.

So so I'm asking you to We don't know. Nobody
knows for sure. But in the quote yesterday after the game,
it certainly sounded like Josh Allen was taking a dig
at Stefan Diggs.

Literally he says, quote.

It's a fun and wonderful thing when you got a
bunch of guys that don't care about stats, they don't
care about the touchdowns.

Was he talking about mister Diggs there? Did you think
or not?

I don't think. I'll tell you this now. Did you
say what you want about Steph? He was a great
player here and for all the other stuff that gets
put on about him, I've heard nothing but and I'm
I'm over there every day. I've heard nothing but the
guys saying, hey, they love they like Steph. He was
a great dude. He was a he was a big personality.

He had a large voice, no question about it, and
just like most good receivers, he wanted the ball. But
I haven't heard anything that says, Josh and Steph don't
like each other or don't don't love each other. And
I don't think Josh has it in him to be
kind of spiteful sticking a guy. I think he was
talking about the guys, about the guys in the room
this year. I don't think he had anything in his

under the shelf towards Diggs. I think this was all
about the guys here. And I'll say this too, I've
been on teams that have changed over year over year.
When you do have changes, particularly, I mean Josh only
had one guy coming back, Khalil Shakir, who has caught
a pass from him in a game in the wide
receiver room. I mean he completed, you know, a pass

to one of these guys who are out there with
him now. So I think in those situations, all these
players you notice, You notice how it is now and
what's different about it from where it's been. It's not
really a dig on how it was last year because
they had a good season last year. Man there was
a two seed in the conference. I think he was

talking more about what they noticed about how different they
are this year, not that they thought last year sucked.

I love asking for players questions about things that you know,
the locker room, if you will, the feel of a team.
If you were a receiver hanging out with the Pittsburgh
Steelers on the team and you thought, maybe, oh, why

you know, he hopefully he's got some good years left
in the tank. Then you get this young player in
Justin Fields who's playing well, you're three and zero. How

think the guys, really, all of them, and he may

you know, because some of them might feel like Russ
gives a better chance and some might feel like Justin
deserves it, or that he gives them a better chance.
But that's how they feel. They they could not possibly
care less if they hurt somebody's feelings. They want the

best guy out there, because everybody goes out there as
risking life and you know it's gonna hurt, right, right,
I mean, you get what you're going to bang into people,
You're gonna hurt after this game. You don't want to
hurt for a team or for a quarterback who's not
the best option on your roster. You want the best
guy out there. If they put the best guy out there,
you'll go to war with the guy because you believe

it too. The problem with the Steelers is, I don't
know that every guy in the locker room believes one
or the other is the best guy, right. I don't
know that the whole team believes Justin Fields is the guy,
or that Russ Wilson's the guy. If they do, you
can bet Mike Tomlin knows it. And when push comes
to shove, that's the guy that's going to be out there.

It's going to be the guy that they think gives
them the best chance. And no is gonna get caught
up in hurting anybody's.
