Listen, man, No, San Franz is a really really cool place.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
It's it's a unique place, man, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
All right, all right, we got my more football to
talk about it, we do. Mike Tomlin, what about them?
The coach of the Pittsburgh steel They're off to a
great start. Three and one.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, teach your glasses off, because I want to hit
a man with glasses.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
He should be he should be basking in it. Oh
my god, you know we got three three and one,
where three and one we're rolling. They just lost their
first game. They won the first three games. Justin field
stepped in at quarterback. Russell Wilson got hurt. This is
a suitable for framing. He should be all the way
in on justin fields. Justin fields is the future. Russell

(02:58):
Wilson is the past. But guess what what he still
won't endorse justin fields.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
As quarterback as.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
A starting quarterback for the season, Like, no, we're not there.
I'm not doing that. There's no need to do that.
And I'm gonna tell you this, this is not just
about justin fields.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And if he really believed in justin fields right, because
he's the.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Future, Mike Tomlin ain't going nowhere, right, So who's he
gonna have a chance of being a quarterback and coach
relationship more?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Is it Russell Wilson or is it justin fields? Justin
fields for the long term? Yeah, for the long term,
I get you.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
But the reason he won't do it is very simple.
This ain't about Justin Fields. This is about Mike Tomlin.
Mike Tomlin, for all, he's never finished under five hundred record.
If you want to hold on to that, that's fine.
Mike Tomlin's eight and ten in the playoffs. Of the

(04:01):
fourteen active coaches with at least five postseason appearances, he
has a four to forty four winning percentage, which is eleventh.
That's out of fourteen. Eleventh. Started his playoff career five
and two with two super Bowl appearances, and they won
a super Bowl. But since then, he's three and eight

(04:22):
and they have not won a playoff game since Moby
Dick was a guppy. In other words, twenty sixteen. That's
how long it's been.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Shu.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
It does not have to do with anything with Don.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Fields, because he doesn't believe, he knows he needs to
win a playoff game. Okay, it ain't about just finishing
five hundred and making a playoff. Okay, people are gonna
at some point. Twenty sixteen is eight years ago. At
some point you gotta win a playoff game. Agree, Okay, agreed,
And he still believes that Russell Wilson, who went to

(04:56):
two Super Bowls and who won a Super Bowl just
like him. Win to two and one is the formula
that he wants to hold on too, because that's what
he wants to have as an option when the postseason
comes along. That's why he hasn't embraced Justin Fields, and
Justin Fields hasn't blown anybody socks off Yester three and one.

(05:18):
He has two touchdowns and one intercept. First off, first,
all right, let me jump in here time that.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
First of all, he has three touchdowns, one interception, and
he has rushed for over one hundred and forty five yards.
He's already passed pickets numbers from last year just about
in a matter of four games. Secularly, that has secondar
Pickett was awful. Secondly, he is three and one through
four games. This is the quarter of the season. Why
does Mike Tomlin, Why does Mike Tomlin have to tell

(05:45):
us what he's doing right now?

Speaker 2 (05:47):
And by the way, why.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
That's us me and you don't know what he's already
had conversations about with with your boy Justin Bield.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
He shure, guy, listen to this.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Miles Tomlin has been the guy who does not have
to do anything to convince wa Yes, he does. You
Belichick would never tell us who's on the injury list
or play with it. This person has a stupid you know,
at the at least bruised up, or he's tired for team.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I want to give you an analogy. It would be
like you, you're dating this girl.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
I know you're married and all that.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm dating this girl and I'm like, behind closed doors,
you're my girl, but we're not going into movies together
and I'm not holding your hand in public. Why won't
he hold Justin Field's hand in public?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Because you know what? You know what you and your girlfriend.
He got it because he got the eggs that he
wants to bring in when the time.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Carol and your girlfriend don't have fifty two other people
in your relationship.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
He's got fifty three other players.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
He has a Russe away Wilson, which is a great
break in case of emergency. But right now, I'm liking
what I got. And they asked him, they say what
else can he do? He said, keep winning? He said
keep winning. I love their So that's young man, nothing cute.
He's saying, look, you're my guy. Right now, I'm not
gonna commit coming. I don't want to be committed to

(07:01):
why he doesn't have to This is a young player
who's having success. Me, I don't have to commit to you, right.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I just got him out of Chicago, where they didn't
believe in him till now.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
You come to Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
You won more games now than you did probably in
Chicago in any four game stretch, and they don't want
to embrace you and tell you we love you, we
want you for the future.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
You're a new quarterback for the next ten years. So
in your let's go back to your analogy.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
What you did, Rob Parker was you left out the
other girl that you brought in, so you made it
like it was a singular girlfriend. I brought two ladies
in at the same time. I said, hey, look, I'm
dating mine, I'm dating y'all.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I'm seious, Well are you drinking. You'd have had a couple.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Drinks, you're feeling yourself, and you say, hey, look, I'm
bringing both y'all in, both of y'all. We're gonna see
what's what I'm a court and date both of y'all.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Daggett.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
She'd have messed around and had to go take care
of the kids. Allah Russell Wilson is hurt. She can't
be with us right now. So now it's me and
this one justin fields and we having a field day.
We three and one, the city loving us. You're playing well,
playing the best football you ever played. I'm with you. Look,
I'm giving you some weinks. You know what time it is,
but I got to, you know, hold on, let me
see what's what. Let me watch when you have a done,

(08:08):
because I don't have to yet. When you have a dome,
you catch out.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
He done.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I don't have to yet. You would you not catch
out if it was a dime.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
I had the two women and with Rob Park and
look at what she's done.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Been single for a very long time.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
You know why, because you're having fun, and right now
Mike Tollman is having fun. I see what you're doing.
Keep doing what you're doing, baby girl, you might be
the one. Keep doing what you're doing justin fields and
winning and not turning the ball over and three touchdowns
and only the one exception.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
He had his best game. And he still won't like numbers,
widse he.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Will because I like the love. How long did you
date your girl? Wife? Now?

Speaker 3 (08:49):
But your girlfriend before you were like? Man, you know what,
let me go ahead and make this all the way
us oh years. That's my point. Why I gotta do
this in four weeks because Rob Parker wants me to
do this. This is what I'm I'm doing. I'm enjoying
the situation.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
It's good. She'd have made me a home cooked meal.
I like it.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
She my mom likes her a little bit. The homies
like her right now, know what they say? The loving
is good. Hey, this is this is old point. I'm
gonna give her a little bit longer. I might have
to wife her up.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
When you have two girlfriends and tells you that you
don't believe that that you really don't have one, ain't.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Here right now. No one ain't here right now. He's
in the locker. Roow. She had to go back home
and take care of her sick mom or something. Ain't
right now. I just don't even buy it. I think
this is about him.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
He realizes if you're telling me somebout because if you're telling.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Me it's about why would I then why would I
put Russell Wilson in.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Because he doesn't believe in Justin Phields hasn't done anything
in the postseason.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Russell Wilson won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Why isn't he putting him in, saying as soon as
he's healthy, soon he's in.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
No, I'm saying he's gonna go back to that because
he because ultimately, ultimately my wings.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Didn't we put the wings beat on this rocket. We did.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I told you when Russell Wilson is declared healthy, justin
fields be the start.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
Now.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I'm not saying come weeks, you know, sixteen if he
thrown twenty interceptions. But they're not rushing Russell Wilson out
there because one thing Russell Wilson has that's a stain
on him. Whether it's true or not, I don't know.
Players don't necessarily like him. I don't have to like
everybody you work with. It ain't about that. But they
don't when the guy who's starting his call and we
like him.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
No, because as soon as he has a bet another
bed they lost.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Wait was another He didn't have a bad game. They
just lost.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Okay, another loss. There'll be three and two. That three
and oh won't feel as good a loss.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
They got the Cowboys coming up.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
They losing that they lose to the Cowboys, they'll be
three and two and then people start going, you know, Okay,
he's three and two.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
We've played five games.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I like, I got three touchdowns and three picks.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
He ain't that good.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
You know what I like about rod Russell Wilson. You
know what I like about Rod Alex. You know what
I like about him? He goes go to the grave,
riding it like, Oh, Justin Fields could be V candidate,
MVP candidate in five weeks. Right, let's say he's you know, uh,
he's like seven and two or something, right, balling out
ten touchdowns, only two interceptions, rushing like crazy. Rob The

(11:08):
bad Game's coming, man, it's coming now, he's he's twelve
and three. He's coming to bad game. Rob Parker's going
we eg. Justin Bild's gonna have an MVP yellow I
mean the Hall of Fame yellow jacket on, and Rob
Parker's gonna be talking about the bad game is coming
all respect.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
That about that reminds me of the whole Tom Brady
thing with him exactly.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Just look how about you?

Speaker 3 (11:31):
How about you acknowledge how much better he looks at
when he did Chicago? How about that, Rob Ge? He
looks like a totally different person. He looks like the
person people say, man if he ever put it together,
he would look like this, Oh he has so.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Then why won't they commit to him. They don't owe
Russell Wilson anything. They got him for.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Nothing because old Wady's head No. Only four.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
They they believe if they're going to do anything postseason one,
they asked him that it's gonna be about Russell Wilson,
not about Justine.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
They said health the side. They said it's his winning
help and he said absolutely. If he keeps winning, that
could play a role in his decision. Like me and hey,
we win another game or two. I don't care if
Russell Wilson Helsey, this is our guy. How would I
make a decision in four weeks when I just got super.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
You make a decision as soon as it's clear. If
they are new, it's not like they having this equity.
They've been there for yours equity. Russell Wilson won a
Super Bowl. That's the equity.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Yet, and now you want to bring up stuff, Hold on,
Hold hold on, rob rob g. He wants to bring
up a long time ago talking about Mike Thomins last
playoff win twenty sixteen. Remind me when Russell Wilson won
his last super Bowl Please, yeah, exactly. You had to go,
oh it is you couldn't even remember.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
That's what my Poe had to look that up.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
That's my point that Justin Fields win a playoff game,
Rob G Can you give me that?

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Can you give him ten weeks? Oh that was easy.
I was here again. You give him ten or twelve?
He's been in the league. Did he get to this
second year? What do you mean? What are you talking? Dude?

Speaker 3 (12:56):
He's when a Babel situation? And what is he doing producing?
And what else is he doing?

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Winning?

Speaker 3 (13:02):
You want to tell me about Mike Tomlins last playoff way,
but you keep bringing up.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Russell Wilson pre Sierra super Bowl.

Speaker 7 (13:08):
He has pre throwing an interception post what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (13:12):
The last Super Bowls? Posted what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
His last sele That was a bad decision to a pick.
So stop telling you what to back to back super Bowls?
He went to back to back and you got a
coach and he looked like Eli Manning.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Ever since he's looking for Eli Manning was forty something
and sixty something after those super Bowl appears? Did he
win to after those Super Bowl payers? He was triz ash.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
He got there That's all that matters, all right, eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. Oh yeah, we got trash
Talking Tuesday coming up. What am I thinking?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Trash talking coming up?

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Man? Now you got to talk about somebody who is
doing exactly what the NFL was progressing to do.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Will tell you about it.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
It is the Fox Sports Radio Hod Cuple, Rod Parker,
Kelvin Washington on the trash Talking Tuesday.

Go to rappidradios dot com now for up to sixty

doing some number crunching and looking at some of this
stuff about we've been all talking about offenses down.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Something's going on. What's going on? Well, one of the things.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
That's going on, man, is teams aren't passing like they
used to. They're down eight percent passing, They're down forty
one yards per game. You start to look at these
passing numbers, and then there's a reason, another reason why
outside of just defenses catching up, because they talked to
some of these articles read. They talk to a lot
of defensive coordinators to say, hey, we ain't about to be.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
On the bad side of this.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Oh you know this explosion of offense, we would we
want to come to the party and play too. So
defense has gotten more sophisticated, defenses have gotten better. And
then there's another thing, and that is that these quarterbacks
are dual threats.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
And it's not the outliers.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
There's not the Cam Newton and the Michael Vick, or
there's not the just Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. There
are probably a dozen quarterbacks if not more, who are
legitimate running threats. And I think the evolution of all
of that has come to fruition with Jaden Daniels. I
think Jayden Daniels is the model now of speed, intelligence, accuracy,

(16:10):
UH leadership. Teammates like him. He is the embodiment of
that right now. And listen he start. It's only four
weeks in. He looks great. He's gonna have some bump
in the rows. He is a rookie. But what we're
seeing from him to me is the evolution of the
quarterback position where these guys have all the tools. You know,
you got the baseball playoffs going on. He's a five
tool player, five tools. C J.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Stroud is him.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
I think he moves better. I think, and I'm not
mass see Sharan you can put him in that mix too.
I think Jaden has a little more as they say,
you know, it's not as not apples apples because it's
more of a basketball term. He has a little more, wiggle,
a little more, can you know, a little more elusive,
a little faster and clearly is more accurate. Now again early,
he's gonna have some bumping rows, gonna have some hiccups,
gonna have a bad game or two. But I just

(16:56):
think when I'm looking at these this evolution of what
a quarterback is supple to be in Canby, I'm looking
at Jaydon Daniels and I'm saying, if I'm another team,
if I'm you know, a team in need right now,
get me one of those, get me one of those
who has all of the ability, headstrong, smart, can throw
as accurate and also very level headed.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Get me one of those.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
I think he is exactly what a lot of GM
is gonna be looking for moving forward.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Yeah, I mean he's off to a great start.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I don't know how sustainable it is, and I'm talking
about the eye popping.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
The numbers and what he's done are very high.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Very high ceiling to be able to continue at that level.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
So I get it. And when you historic rate right now,
that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
That's what I'm saying, Like like they'll be those games
where it's not nearly as that and I think he's
a fine young quarterback. As matter of fact. Sean King,
who of course is our NFL insider here on the outcome,
he was raving about him on this show, about about
Jane Daniels, Jane Daniel and that he thought he was

(18:01):
the best quarterback in the draft.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Dude, eighty two percent, not like one or two games,
through four games so far, eighty two percent.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
He's not throwing a lot, I mean right, throwing a
lot of what even attempts? Yeah, one hundred and six attempts.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
You figured that out to be twenty five, twenty seven,
game twenty five, you know, eighty two percent and not
to mention.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Then I go to the rushing yards.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
He's two hundred and eighteen rushing yards already.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
We know he can rush. Now, that is really about
the quarter.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Four touchdowns on the ground, crazy, three touchdowns to the air,
only one Interception's he fumbled a couple of times, dude,
this kid none of them were lost, so they don't
count his turnovers. This kid is special and you love
to see it too. They got new ownership there in
DC with the Commanders. They got new ownership. You love

(18:51):
to see. They got it right with the draft pick.
They got it going on right now and you love
to see it, like in a city that has great
fan base. Man, this gime, I'm telling you, he is special.
He is one of those ones you start to go, Okay,
I'm gonna look out for that, and not everybody can
be that.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
But I just keep thinking of the.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Evolution of what a quarterback can be, from mobility, from
again you see the precision and again levelheadedness when you
talk to her time to the game, he's just level headed,
even kill enjoying it what he's doing right now. But
he has been spectacular. He had and he's been one
of the bright spots of the offense right now in
the league that's been down. Guys aren't really the offenses
aren't offensing right now, and the points ain't pointing right now.

(19:29):
We're not seeing a big production and he's been able
to do it and it's been great to see.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
He's been very, very fun.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yeah, I just need more sample size, of course, but
his first four you can't get any better than what
he's done. But you know, it's a long road and
people will also they'll start to get film on you
and decide what it is You sure and then there's
an adjustment you have to make because they're gonna say, well,
we need to do this to stop him or make him,
force him to do this, rather than allow him to

(19:55):
do that.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
I think we're seeing too. I think teams are all right.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
We talked about last year and he's not putting up
the numbers he put up last year. He's still playing well.
But yeah, there's an adjustment. It doesn't mean that you're
gonna automatically stop somebody just because of one year of film,
but it does make a change.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
It's been it's been great to see him, uh too,
and have all the young quarterbacks. He's the only one

Speaker 1 (20:56):

gotta bring? I know you, Uh, vanilla bean cheesecake is
the entry fee to get into sports radio.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Tell you this, I love a few blocks away. So
whatever Aaron's he needs me to run, Kay, Rob ahead
of time. I'm glad we do it.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
He just make sure they box thos thinks separately, all right,
because me and Robb g still haven't gotten ours yet.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Facts fact, Alex, Yeah, you two eating two pieces?

Speaker 6 (21:28):
Got two pieces?

Speaker 3 (21:28):
You enter the one over there walking around, vegan and
in shape. Give us our cake, man, I had one
stuck to my back when we left. I say it whatever,
Mark Man, thank you for joining us. We're in the
middle of baseball playoffs, right, we got this going on.
Rob and I have been sitting here talking about NFL action.
You got w NBA plus you got a whole bunch
of things going on. Yet the NBA started, uh their

(21:52):
whole media run the last few days, we're gonna have
a larger conversation about the Lakers Robin Iron a bit.
So I'm trying. I'm gonna push that one to the
side a little bit. We'll get a little insight on
the Lakers. It's okay. Well, you and I saw you
there yesterday Lakers Media Day. Your takeaway, Obviously the biggest
thing is Bronni and Lebron, but just your takeaway from
being there two twenty second season for Bron and everything

(22:15):
JJ reddicks for a season.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yeah, my takeaway for media day was what you mentioned
with Lebron James, Bronni James. They love the moment. Look.
We debate about whether the Lakers make the right move
with getting Browny as the NBA ready, but at least
for media day, I did appreciate that there felt like
a genuine fondness of father son moment. Soaking in the
moment Lebron taking photos of a son doing interviews. What

(22:39):
I take away from the actual first day of Laker
practice is that JJ Reddick is trying to guard against
some of the pitfalls that first year head coaches have
of trying to do everything at once and have all
these long practice sessions. He's mindful, as a former NBA
player himself, that players value their time. They want to
be efficient, they want to get in and now, and

(23:01):
that's exactly what the practice was. You know, Lebron was
the first to praise him that it was very structured,
organize and look, let's just call a state of SPATA
and training camp. Everyone's undefeated, so everyone's going to be
in a happy mood. I think, at least relative to
last season, there is some level of optimism that at
least JJ Reddick could make better in game adjustments in

(23:22):
Darbnham and have more structure with the team itself. But again,
it starts with health, it starts with talent, and I
think it's fair to say the Lakers aren't the favorite
obviously going in because there's a lot better teams right now.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
But it also could be a disaster and you can
get off till the Lakers could get off to a
bad start and people could say this was the wrong hire.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
I mean, there's two sides of this.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
It sounds good in training camp, but people will question
this the same thing if Brownie puts up some mail balls.
If you ever get some playing time, I'm just giving
you the worst case, worst case scenario. Mark, there is
that flip side, correct that why are the Lakers being
a breeding ground for somebody who's never been a coach?

Speaker 4 (24:01):
One hundred percent? Now look the Browny airballs. I think
if there are going to be airballs, most of them
is going to are going to happen in the South
day and the G League games.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Are you sure? Why did they give him a contract
that's an NBA contract and not a two way contract.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
I think he's going to be on a team all year,
and you're going.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
To be on the team till November eighth, until G
League training camp starts. But they'll have the fun moments
you know in training camp season opener of you know,
father son play on the court. But Rob, I'm with
you here on the larger points, it's inevitable JJ Reddick's
going to go through some sort of rights of passage
or significant losing streak. How does he handle that? I
think at the end of the day, what's going to

(24:39):
determine the Lakers' success or failure as it has been
since Lebron James joined the team, It starts with his
health and effectiveness. So far, so good with him coming
off the Olympic row. But it also starts with their talent.
This is mostly the same roster that lost the first
round against Denver. Now, the Lakers will tell you they
decide to lean on this for circumstantial reasons. It wasn't

(25:00):
a better deal to be made because they didn't have
the assets. They felt, you at a healthy gave Vincent
Jared Vanderbilt. They can at least improve internally enough to
make a deal before the trade deadline. So I think
that's the parameters are at. But here, here's the thing, Robert,
and I'm totally back in here. The West is so
roaded rightly. You don't know what position they're going to
be in the NBA stateside the time the trade deadline happens.

(25:23):
So a lot of moving pieces here.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Well, Mark fucking co Medina is joining us.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Markle me, you brought up the West.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
You had the Minnesota Timberwolves were fun to watch. You
saw Anthony Edwards, Karnthy, Towns go bet so on and
so forth. And then they make a trade. They send
Carlton Yet, well it's looking as if it's going to
be said, it is not done yet. They're sending Cat
to the Knicks for Devin Chico and also for Julius Randall.

(25:52):
That happens. Who wins in this trade? What do you
like from either side?

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Yeah, I think ideally this trade didn't happen. I think
Minnesota should have run it back. I think the York
should have run it back. But really this trade had
to come down to financial ramifications. On minnesota'sone, This was
not sustainable long term to keep it from a cap standpoint.
So you know, I talked with an executive from another
team yesterday and he said that Minnesota is going to

(26:18):
take a significant step back from this trade because now
there's going to be questions about how did Julius random
Rudy Goldber fit And the fit isn't as good as
it was with Karl Anthony Townsend. That still took some time.
But I think that Minnesota made the move that was
more largely financial. Financially driven, And while you know the

(26:39):
elephant in the room with the ownership situation with Glenn Taylor,
you don't want to minimize how much money matters to owners.
But I think when we're talking about financial decisions, it's
not so much about them wanting to save money in
their own pockets. It's the second Apron concerns. It's the
strict cap limitations when you're trying to retain most of

(26:59):
your roster. So I think the feeling is Minnesota took
a step back. I think New York can take a
step forward, but I don't think it's enough to go
toe to toe with Boston assuming there's no major injuries.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, that was my next thing. As much as the
Knicks have done, I don't think. And then the East,
you got Milwaukee, wells, Miami's in the MiGs, Philadelphia's in
the mix, right, I mean, and and a cake walk
And I know we never talk about Indiana, but they
have a good team too.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
Yeah. Well, I think the feeling I get talking to
some people other execs around the league as well as
my own analysis, that there's a feeling that the East
is wide open, but there is a favor. It's Boston
because defending champs, they have most of their quarterbacks are
on their prime, mostly healthy, with exception of Porzingis and
everywhere else, every team is kind of jocking for positions.

(27:52):
So I think I think Philadelphia because they got Paul George,
but then there's question marks about his health and Joel
in dead you would think Milwaukee would be in the mix,
but there's a lot of questions people have around the
league on whether another year with Damon and Giannis is
enough in a full training camp under Doc and so
I think under those three teams, the Knicks, the Cavaliers,

(28:15):
the Magic the Pacers are all kind of wild cards
where you can make a case four through seven with
any of those teams. So it'll make for good interesting
NBA basketball and also great sports talk radio with with yourself.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
You set us up perfect. That's why you are here.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
You are Mark fucking co Medina, Fox Sports Ready, NBA

Speaker 12 (35:49):
Rosie browed Grace marathon runner who cheated in the nineteen
eighty box from Marathon for years, you have the jazzy
to claim he did not cheat. You're actually cheating. Did
not end with that. In nineteen eighty two, you are
wrestled for emvezzling sixty thousand dollars from your job at
a real estate company. Subsequently, you were arrested in nineteen
eighty three for cocaine. He's set the president for future

(36:10):
cheating in the city of Boston. Tom Brady aka the
loat the flitting footballs and obtaining a legally captured film
of future opponents Paul Pierce and belosing that injury in
Game one of the two thousand and eight finals, and
contingents continuously flopping like a Sandy soccer player throughout the
duration of that series. And Kevin McHale for clotheslining. Kurt
Rambis would have a gregious vow to change the momentum

(36:30):
of the nineteen eighty four NBA Finals. What a coincidence.
This is a common theme for Boston sports cheating. If
you were still around you, Tom Brady, Paul Pierce, and
Kevin McHale would all have been perfectly suitable star on
the fourth filment on that stupid movie franchise, hist musical man.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Mace letting it rip man. I'll tell you what he
might have missed his colin. I don't know what mas
for a living. He might supposed to be a debate
debate captain or something. No, he's stuttering it, miss the word.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
Huh yeah, you're in lockstep. I think Lebron's right. Rod
