where we got something else happening.

This is about the right the Raiders. This is about
the Raiders and what what has happened here is their
star wide receiver who he made a tactical error.

He did when he did it, Okay, I get it.

He wanted to get out of Green Bay, he wanted
to move to Las Vegas. He wanted to be with
his college quarterback. But Davante Addam, when you do that,
there's a chance that that guy might not be there.
Something could happen, and that's exactly what happened. So now
he doesn't really have a great quarterback all this other stuff.
But Rob g get us up to speak, because we
got social media drama.

We got a situation in Sin City and it's all
kind of a started to percolate on Thursday of last week,
where Davante Adams unexpectedly showed up on the injury report
with the hamstring issue.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
The reason why it was kind of.

Murky is because prior to that, he didn't show any
signs that I have any kind of hamstring issue. So
he ends up not playing on Sunday in their win
over Cleveland. On Monday morning, Michael Fabiana, who writes for
sports there's a lot of fantasy football work there, put
out a little blurb tongue in cheek, mostly saying we

may have seen the last of Davante Adams in a
Raiders uniform. Sports Illustrated takes that quote throws it up
on their social media the same way we do for
our stuff, and lo and behold, who's one person who
likes that post? Davante adam last game as a Raider,
then head coach Antonio Pierce flash forwards earlier today On Tuesday,
(06:30):
Davante's asked about it on The k Adams Show. He
kind of tries to downplay everything, but one thing he
did say is I haven't spoken to Antonio Piers since
he liked that post, so we'll see what it is.
Two hours later, yes, multiple outlets reporting that Davonte Adams,
the all world wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders,
has formerly requested a trade.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Addison City and Rob g I noticed is your team
your favorite team, Raiders?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
And I know it pained you because there it is
more drama.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
But I'll say this, and Tonio Piers is to be
blamed for all of this.

Don't blame social media.

Don't blame people blowing stuff out of proportion.

You know, like, oh the big deal? What a Why would.

You, as a head coach alienate your star player. There's
just no reason for it. This is self inflicted. Everybody
told me Rob g Antoni appears a players guy. He's
the former player, he bonded with the players. They all
wanted him back. They told the raded, don't interview anybody.

We got our coach. We play hard for this guy.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
How could a guy, knowing how hard it is to
play this game and all the other stuff that goes
on outside the building, why would you stir it up
and have that come from inside your building, from none
other than the head coach.

And you know, Kelvin, if.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Anybody else did it, a front off is exact, ball boy,
somebody that they could identify that that person would be
put out of the organization right right right, because it's
detrimental behavior to the organization.

Why in the world would you alienate and Adams?
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Why Kelvin, Well, look, okay, you remember last week. Rob
g of course remembers that's his squad. And we had
the conversation about Antonio Pierce saying there will be some
business decisions. The team is going to have to make
some business decisions, and that was in regards to players.
He felt like they quit on the team. He felt
like they had given up. They weren't playing hard until

the end because they didn't want to get hurt. They
didn't want to get hurt. What's going on, So there'll
be some business decisions now. He apologized for that a
couple of days ago, saying that, you know, and there's
been some distractions. I kind of took part in that
with my comments were thankfully being able to work through
it and.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
So I think they're starting to be him, and it
goes to his disposition of the tough guy setting the
tone we talked about this last time, him coming in
kind of being the Rod Rock guy and his assistant coach,
and that kind of works when you're an assistant coach
like when I played. And again, this is just high
school basketball. But my coach shout out to Coach Swift.

That was my guy. Head coach was the head coach,
and he would get us all doing his thing.
Speaker 8 (09:22):
So you went on a Division three college of basketball too.
I should have I should have, all right, I should
have been. You know, that's a story for another day.
I might have to get the violins and then you know,
get to telling my stories. You would have covered me too, Rob,
don't do me, Rob, No, no, no, no, that wasn't inside Joe.

It's okay. Can I tell you about Antonio Pierce?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
So Antonio Piers is that assistant coach who Rob Rob
gets in your face, who kind of slams his hand
on table, motivates you, and he can get you going
when it's in that position. Right, everybody has that uncle
who can come at you and get you a certain way,
talk to you a certain way. Because he's only there
for the weekend, then you don't see him anywhere the
rest of the week. That can wear on a team,
that can wear in a star player, and that can

wear the Devontae Adams where by all accounts, he's been
about business, he's been about work ethic. We've never questioned
him he's never been a bad media guy, guy who
gets in trouble, So I'd imagine that probably rubs him
the wrong way, and that type of coaching, that type
of motivation.

I don't need that.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
I'm here every day, I'm on time, i stay longer,
I'm the first guy in. So that kind of guy
probably gets wrong the rough ways, especially if he doesn't
see that it's paying dividends. So now you add in
social media, liking post, and now you're seeming petty and juvenile,
and so that's double in the last week. That's just
what we know of where you got him going to

the media Antony up here saying we got to make
some business decisions or what does that mean?

What are you trying to say? What are you implying? Right?

star player on the team. You think Davanta Adams doesn't
have any friends on that team?

put yourself out there? I don't understand why guys do this.

sit here and go I'm gonna show him like, you
know what I mean, you know who you are in
this position, You're the head coach of a team. Of

the Raiders are in rumors to be getting Tyreek Keal,
and he liked that.

Well, I mean even trying to do out of love,

being traded. So, yeah, these things don't go well for him.
It'll be interesting now now that you say fatal mistake,
and I say, well, who does the owner?

this is good. You say it's fatal, But I say,
if you've got the ownership, you got the gentleman who

buy into that that he's not really with us. We
thought he was with us. He's one of us. He
played in the league. Why would a player You just
thought about it the other day. What was a quarterback
on quarterback cry? Now that's his player ONLA. He's not
a coach, a guy who never played, never strapped it up.
He played out there. He knows what it's about and

how tough it is. And that's the part that I'm saying.
You could lose your locker room by doing a move
like that. Forget about what the owner of them, because
they all like you, they stop playing for you.

get a nice haul for a player who can really
go in and help somebody compete for a championship this year.

conversation about that, but I'll just use that point you
just said he and transition to if you are the
Kansas City Chiefs, a team who you lose Rice, your
receivers aren't nobody's necessarily a big name. You don't have
that stud out there that you can depend on. Travis Kelsey,
he's still trying to find in shape and form. Do
you make a trade like that? I know they wouldn't
necessarily because it's in a division it's arrival, But were

there a couple of teams out there, you will look
at that and say, hey, we can use it.

Davante Adams over here, well yeah, I mean, just right
off top Kansas City. But we know that's not gonna happen.
The Raiders aren't crazy. I mean they'd be crazy to
do that unless Kansas City came in with something you
couldn't not you know, take but Buffalo. I mean put

him out in Buffalo with with Josh Allen, because you
could just imagine what that's gonna look like. I mean,
Josh Allen is you know, outside of you know, them
being walloped Baltimore. I think Josh Allen would love to
have a talent like Davonte Adams to be able to

stretch that defense and give them a little something else
to think about. Also, the Jet Right reuniting with Aaron
Rodgers and the Nathaniel Hackett, I think that's an easy fit.
You know, the offense is a plug in and play.
You can come right right in and get busy. There's

familiarity there, and I think both sides could use it.

Well it does, and he speaks volume to the importance
of having a decent quarterback, not even a great quarterback,
but a decent quarterback. But if you look at the
numbers two and the points to us where Tua was
able to put up when he was healthy, I mean
good in this, you would have to sign him to
that level of lucrative deal because the proofs in the

putting the numbers say, you know, the numbers to tell
you exactly. The one thing they didn't have a problem
with is scoring in football, except when they went and
they played in negative seven degrees, which there wouldn't be
a lot of teams that would bode well in those
certain types of circumstances in the playoffs last year againas City.

But yeah, Tua is a tremendous talent. He's dealing with
health issues now that you may may linger for the
rest of his career. But at that situation, that point
you have to get that quarterback, you have to to
sign them, and then they have to make a move.
Now they have to really go think about, Okay, what
can we do because we saw what happened in Indy.

When you bring somebody in like the Joe Flacco, it
immediately changes your offense when your starter goes down, and
Miami doesn't have that right now. I mean I'd be
on the phone with Russell Wilson right or or the
Pittsburgh dealers right now. For Russell Wilson today.

the Raiders and what what has happened here is their
star wide receiver who he made a tactical error.

He wanted to get out of Green Bay, he wanted
to move to Las Vegas. He wanted to be with
his college quarterback. But Davante Addam, when you do that,
there's a chance that that guy might not be there.
Something could happen, and that's exactly what happened. So now
he doesn't really have a great quarterback all this other stuff.

We got a situation in Sin City and it's all
kind of a started to percolate on Thursday of last week,
where Davante Adams unexpectedly showed up on the injury report
with the hamstring issue.

Murky is because prior to that, he didn't show any
signs that I have any kind of hamstring issue. So
he ends up not playing on Sunday in their win
over Cleveland. On Monday morning, Michael Fabiana, who writes for
sports there's a lot of fantasy football work there, put
out a little blurb tongue in cheek, mostly saying we

may have seen the last of Davante Adams in a
Raiders uniform. Sports Illustrated takes that quote throws it up
on their social media the same way we do for
our stuff, and lo and behold, who's one person who
likes that post? Davante adam last game as a Raider,
then head coach Antonio Pierce flash forwards earlier today On Tuesday,
(06:30):
Davante's asked about it on The k Adams Show. He
kind of tries to downplay everything, but one thing he
did say is I haven't spoken to Antonio Piers since
he liked that post, so we'll see what it is.
Two hours later, yes, multiple outlets reporting that Davonte Adams,
the all world wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders,
has formerly requested a trade.

Addison City and Rob g I noticed is your team
your favorite team, Raiders?

And I know it pained you because there it is
more drama.

But I'll say this, and Tonio Piers is to be

told me Rob g Antoni appears a players guy. He's

How could a guy, knowing how hard it is to
play this game and all the other stuff that goes
on outside the building, why would you stir it up
and have that come from inside your building, from none

Anybody else did it, a front off is exact, ball boy,
somebody that they could identify that that person would be
put out of the organization right right right, because it's
detrimental behavior to the organization.

Why Kelvin, Well, look, okay, you remember last week. Rob
g of course remembers that's his squad. And we had
the conversation about Antonio Pierce saying there will be some
business decisions. The team is going to have to make
some business decisions, and that was in regards to players.
He felt like they quit on the team. He felt
like they had given up. They weren't playing hard until

the end because they didn't want to get hurt. They
didn't want to get hurt. What's going on, So there'll
be some business decisions now. He apologized for that a
couple of days ago, saying that, you know, and there's
been some distractions. I kind of took part in that
with my comments were thankfully being able to work through

So Antonio Piers is that assistant coach who Rob Rob
gets in your face, who kind of slams his hand
on table, motivates you, and he can get you going
when it's in that position. Right, everybody has that uncle
who can come at you and get you a certain way,
talk to you a certain way. Because he's only there
for the weekend, then you don't see him anywhere the
rest of the week. That can wear on a team,
that can wear in a star player, and that can

wear the Devontae Adams where by all accounts, he's been
about business, he's been about work ethic. We've never questioned
him he's never been a bad media guy, guy who
gets in trouble, So I'd imagine that probably rubs him
the wrong way, and that type of coaching, that type
of motivation.

I'm here every day, I'm on time, i stay longer,
I'm the first guy in. So that kind of guy
probably gets wrong the rough ways, especially if he doesn't
see that it's paying dividends. So now you add in
social media, liking post, and now you're seeming petty and juvenile,
and so that's double in the last week. That's just
what we know of where you got him going to

some business decisions or what does that mean?

top receivers in the league. And if Oakland was smart,
they would trade him and they should get, you know,
a first round draft pick. They should be able to
get a nice haul for a player who can really
go in and help somebody compete for a championship this year.

conversation about that, but I'll just use that point you
just said he and transition to if you are the
Kansas City Chiefs, a team who you lose Rice, your
receivers aren't nobody's necessarily a big name. You don't have
that stud out there that you can depend on. Travis Kelsey,
he's still trying to find in shape and form. Do
you make a trade like that? I know they wouldn't
necessarily because it's in a division it's arrival, But were

there a couple of teams out there, you will look
at that and say, hey, we can use it.

Davante Adams over here, well yeah, I mean, just right
off top Kansas City. But we know that's not gonna happen.
The Raiders aren't crazy. I mean they'd be crazy to
do that unless Kansas City came in with something you
couldn't not you know, take but Buffalo. I mean put

him out in Buffalo with with Josh Allen, because you
could just imagine what that's gonna look like. I mean,
Josh Allen is you know, outside of you know, them
being walloped Baltimore. I think Josh Allen would love to
have a talent like Davonte Adams to be able to

stretch that defense and give them a little something else
to think about. Also, the Jet Right reuniting with Aaron
Rodgers and the Nathaniel Hackett, I think that's an easy fit.
You know, the offense is a plug in and play.
You can come right right in and get busy. There's

familiarity there, and I think both sides could use it.

of having a decent quarterback, not even a great quarterback,
but a decent quarterback. But if you look at the
numbers two and the points to us where Tua was
able to put up when he was healthy, I mean
good in this, you would have to sign him to
that level of lucrative deal because the proofs in the

putting the numbers say, you know, the numbers to tell
you exactly. The one thing they didn't have a problem
with is scoring in football, except when they went and
they played in negative seven degrees, which there wouldn't be
a lot of teams that would bode well in those
certain types of circumstances in the playoffs last year againas City.

But yeah, Tua is a tremendous talent. He's dealing with
health issues now that you may may linger for the
rest of his career. But at that situation, that point
you have to get that quarterback, you have to to
sign them, and then they have to make a move.
Now they have to really go think about, Okay, what
can we do because we saw what happened in Indy.

When you bring somebody in like the Joe Flacco, it
immediately changes your offense when your starter goes down, and
Miami doesn't have that right now. I mean I'd be
on the phone with Russell Wilson right or or the
Pittsburgh dealers right now. For Russell Wilson today.

And you just mentioned Joel like to do Tyrod Taylor,
like we need a backup. He comes here and play
as well, and people are like, man, he can almost

teams you can never count out. As long as Andy

And then here I am today, just getting ready to
close my eyes. Got the tigers going take a little nap.

John Amos passed away. Now you're saying here so I
know the name, and I can't think of who that is.
Let me remind you some of the iconic roles of
John Amos. What you got for me? I don't just
roll one and I'll tell you what role it is.
You got something being a McDonald's.

People got this little just understanding. See they're McDonald's. I'm

Mister McDowell, the owner of McDowell's and the funniest movie
every coming to it.

a shoe store when they were shooting that movie McDowell's.

You know, yeah, yeah, so you it was a Wendy's.

So I drive by and I see the sign mcdowells,
and I go back and I'm like, then i'd come
back into work. I come to work and I tell
my coworkers, I can't believe McDonald's has allowed this other
restaurant to open up.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Call mcdowald's with the yellow or you know what I mean.
I was like, and then.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
Like I tried, I say, I'm gonna go to the
restaurant like the next day or whatever. The next day
I was working, I drive drive past the Wendy's and
I'm like, I know, I saw this restaurant. I can't
believe that what happened. And then I come in and
they say No, Eddie Murphy was filming a movie. They
stressed up the Wendy's to look like it, and then
I see it in the movies.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
That is great, that's it.
Speaker 5 (35:38):
Now.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
I wish you would have had a McDonalds burger though,
just to see what it.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Takes trying to get one. Yo. So coming America, that's
a lot of folks.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
And then there's obviously another massive one where people think
of John Amos and that's what roots.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Well, roots is another one.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
And obviously he was a father on good times and
John Amos was was great for television to me, like
because most TV shows in that era didn't have a father.
It was always a single mother. Yeah, and all the
TV shows even like, uh, what was a Diane Carroll
(36:13):
was a nurse and she just had a son, you know,
it was always like a single.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Mom, are you saying? In Black Community, Yeah, and the
black TV show at that time.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
But here was a family in the projects who had
a strong father who was always trying to you know,
like whatever he could do to make his family, whatever,
do a great job, you know, but he was always working.
So he was like one of those iconic wait before
Bill Cosby and the cosby showing all that.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
John Amos to me, I always think of good time.
Good times is there?
Speaker 1 (36:44):
I think Rob G and I were talking about coming
to Americas just because of the age thing. A lot
of people may think of him that a lot of
people think of him being the bad villain, Army soldier
guy and Diehard two and West Wing appearances as you mentioned,
Koza Kinte and roots just kind of career man.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
So we just wanted to show some love to him.
But you mentioned it.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Look the Ken Bae Mutombo, Pete Rose, John Amos. It
happened like boom boom boom. Man, we're at that creating James.
You know what King Joffy joffer from coming to America,
James O. Jones And now the father of the bride,
mister McDowell is sitting in heaven together having a McDowell
berger looking down on all of us.
