Twitter and I see what it is.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Said the NBA season starts like it's my Twitter and
I'll block it.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Walk blocking my.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Walk to block it?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Wan to you block to if they tried to you.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Now it makes sense, Rob G, Now it makes sense
what you want to do? Yeah, you know, yeah, Rob G,
we're gonna do it. Let's just do it. Just this.
This guy wants to do it in honor of that,
in the honor of his passing. It makes me want
talking about blocks. Maybe want to go food di cken
Babel Tombo right with the block the blocks?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Maybe want to full go full Dick.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
We got everyone, thank you. So we do have a
new segment, your segment that we're going to do.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
In the second I said, man, there's a bunch of
things in life where you at some point you gotta
decide one gotta go, not one has to go, No
one gotta go.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
And expect on my name.

Speaker 6 (03:50):
That's right, And we're doing Rob Parker sings all my songs.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Yeah I have. I tried to.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I try to not do it, but that's because that's
just a lot of Rob in our life.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
But you know what you just doing that we gotta
do it. Then you hear that song, Alex. If Ksey
Cason was alive, he would put this in the top four.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
First of all, Ksey Caseon rolled around his grave, you
just saying that. Okay, I'm sorry, Casey just he did
a full circle right now, you're talking crazy?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
All right, that's another one.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
No, no, Rob G, this is gonna be good. All right, Hey,
let's welcome in the couple. Cool because you couldn't do
this fine radio program without him. Rob G, of course
is our producer, Alex is our engineer. Brian Finley's at
the anchor desk will keep us updated throughout the program.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
And Elijah is our social media Google.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
Let's start here, and I'm calling him your Detroit Tigers
Tigers fan.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
That's why I got this hat on. You're a Detroit
Tigers fan.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
And they went to Houston and they swept this series,
the best of three, all three games, the new format
with the wild Carter all in Houston, no Detroit games, uh,
three straight days, and they come back. They were down
two to one and they win it five to two.
Now we're gonna give the Tigers love and they move on.
They're gonna take on the Guardians, right, a team in

(05:11):
their own Al Central Division.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
That's gonna be interesting. But here the big story, No,
it's not.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
They couldn't expect because the Astros have won two World
save you know, James Game kind of Cinderella field to it.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Uh So I'm gonna revel in that I got the
hat on right now of two thousand.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
It's the two thousand logo right now.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
You know about it, you were there, but you're right,
there's a there's a larger story for the country. Detroit
is excited about it right now, but there is a
larger story.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
And that's the Astros.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
And you know, they became villains when it was exposed
that they cheated.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
They had the banging the trash cans.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
You remember that the Dodgers felt they got cheated that
year out of the World Series. The Yankees felt that
they got cheated out of the ALCSP because they lost
in seven games, and they lost Game seven there. If
you remember how two hit a home run like he
knew what was coming, and then after you find out
what was going on, no wonder.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
They were looking like what was that game? Show movie
back in the day that had the cheating thing. Yeah,
they were out there acting like that.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Man.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
They had the buzzers, allegedly buzzers and looking like bucket boys.
You ever been to a city walking out of city,
downtown anywhere, they got the boy put the playing on
their little buckets.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
They got the drums going on the.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Bus and that's what they're doing, hitting on the trash
cans and all that. And now this is the official land, okay,
Like like Bregman is gonna be a free agent. You
can see like things are about to come undone run,
it is officially over. Like they got swept at home
to the upstar Tigers like that, were happy just to

(06:40):
make it in and all that, and and people thought
the Astros that won the Division, Oh here we go,
they're gonna make another run. They're gonna get to the
World Series. You know what, you can't count the Astros out.
You know how good they are on the postseason. So
this is officially it. But I still have to ask,
and I wonder when you think of the Astros and
what they did the two World Series, not a one.

(07:02):
We know it's tainted, but they came back to win
the second one, which which people said that validated them,
that said that they were a good team even without
the cheating apparatuses. Okay, so would you say this is
a good run or would just say good riddance to
the Astros.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
This was a good run. It was absolutely a good run.
And I'll tell you why. Look right now, we're gonna
call them. We're in Los Angeles. You know, I work
with sports and LA out here, the Dodgers networking, and
I'm around the team and I'm around the fans, and
so they called them the Houston what Trashtros? Right, everybody,
you know what they said to me. Everybody knows I'm

(07:43):
a Detroit gy, Detroit Tigers. You know, everybody's saying that
work with they Kip saying, man, I hope the Tigers
get it done, beat the Astros.

Speaker 6 (07:49):
But remember the Astros. I'm just gonna say this, Yes,
seven straight seasons and the.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
AFCs absolutely seven straight two World Series appearances, right, I
mean four World Series appearances and they won two world
A bunch of all stars to name, a bunch of
success without a doubt. So here's why I absolutely don't
think I think it's been a great run, because what
We've learned about history is as time fades away, we
start to forget stuff, We start to forget details.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
And yes, the.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Dodgers and Dodger fans will remember the Houston trash Rows
because it's first.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Forget that because they feel like a job.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, the Yankees and maybe super duper, super duper baseball fans,
But the average fan, the casual fan, the fan who
just you know, I keep up with my team and
I watch a.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Bit, they won't remember the exact details.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
They won't even remember the year that the trash Cans
and the and the Bucket Boys was once seventeen.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
I know, but I'm saying they won't remember.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
And I think what you're gonna find is you're gonna
look back and you're gonna hey, remember when those San
Francisco Giants had a run, They won a few Tworld
Series titles and they look good. Yeah remember that. Remember
when the Houston Astros won and had a nice run. Yeah,
remember when the when the Yankees had that run in
the nineties. Like, I think they'll get put in a
group of teams that had a really good to great run,

(09:01):
bunch of all stars, a couple of World Series titles,
and I think people will actually start to forget, not
to mention. Look, there are controversial dynasties we've had. I
compare it to the New England Patriots, right they had
to flight Gate, they had Spygate, they have picka Gate
that had a whole bunch of gates, that had Aaron
Heernandez killing people gate. And the fact of the matter

(09:24):
is we still go back to what's been the best
team in the NFL for the last twenty twenty five
years through Ingham Patriots. And when you start talking about
the goat or the loat as you want to call
Tom Brady, you don't define every single moment. You just
say he's got seven rings. They've won all these titles.
The Patriots were the standard for two plus decades, and
I think the Astros they're gonna get put in that category.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
You remember, hey, remember that great.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Run, and you'll, yes, you'll nitpick at times and remember it,
but you did whatever you had to do to win.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
And now history will go and we'll.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Start to forget the exact details of wins in the
house and you just think of they had to run
and they solidified the last point with that win with
Dusty Baker and them and getting it done without the
know out to be asked to kind of rub it
in everybody's face and say trash cans, no trash cans.

Speaker 6 (10:09):
We gotta done what you gotta say. Now, nobody forgets
a cheater. Nobody forgets a cheater. People will always remember cheaters.
And that's why even the Patriots don't get all the
love that they should from you what they do well
because I'm not gonna let it go.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
That's it, all right.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
But they also won those first three when it was
about field goals and Adam venit Terry where it wasn't
as questionable as the second run.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
And I think that's why people look at the first run.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
Tom Brady wasn't Tom Brady yet, that's the first Super
Bowl tom Brady, that first Super Bowl run. Tom Brady
had one touchdown in the entire bott of the season,
so they look at that, they look at him verit Terry,
one of the greatest kickers.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Bill Belichick's defense.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
What they were able to do when they won those
first three, the Astros because of how they won that
World Series, and again it was the Yankees lost all
the games there in uh Houston, Houston. The Dodgers want
to lost a pivotal game where Kershaw was unhittable in
LA and got lit up in Houston.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
The idea that uh Al Twove hits that walk.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
Off home run against Chapman is one of one of
the best closers at that time, and then refuses to
allow his teammates to rip off his jersey because he's
they feel like he's got something in the pine talking
about his wife, doesn't want people to see his body.
Come on, dude, ain't nobody thinking like that. When you do,
you're gonna walk off home run away?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
We pour gatorade on, rip the shirt, the shirt and
everything whatever.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
So I'm in the good riddance that they have become.

Speaker 6 (11:45):
You know what, Alex, they become the wicked witch of baseball,
and everybody was happy that they're done.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
I know we can move on from the From the Astro.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I don't disagree that as of current state, people are
like good, good writtens on the Astros. I'm not arguing that,
but I'm saying if I'm the Astros and I you
know where to assess and say, man, was it worth it?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Or I think they do it all over again? You
tell me I think you won two rings.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
I got a bunch of like I said, made a
bunch of all stars, big time names. We've got a
couple of titles we solidified with that second one. We
can rub it up people's faces and be like, now
what you got to say? I think they would deem
it's worth it, and I quiet as kep. I think
some other teams were kind of happy they were the
ones that got caught because they might be looking around like, oh,
kill our operations.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Well, but but if you get caught, then you get caught.
And I hear you.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
I'm not saying that they're the only ones who have
ever cheated, but I'm saying they got caught big time.
Or aj Hinch, who's not a Tiger manager got fired.
The general manager got fired.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Maybe he knew something.

Speaker 6 (12:46):
Carlos Beltraander with the brains behind the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Remember he had gotten the Mets manager job.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
They fired him like it affected a lot of pid
and it's soil baseball for a minute to think that
you would take cheating. Everybody's trying to get an advantage.
Look at the catcher ship. If if he doesn't cover
up the signs with his glove, that's fair game if
you if you're gonna be lax with it, and I
can see your sign.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
But to the trash Cans and.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
All the stuff they did was incredible, and I think
that's why most people are happy.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
That is good rittence to the Astros.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
I absolutely believe currently what is today October second, twenty
twenty four, most people are like, yes, get the Houston
trash Ros out of here.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Holy with you.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. And now that
their run is officially over, are you telling the Astros
good run or good riddance?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
We'll continue that conversation next with you.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
It is The Odd Couple on the Worship Wednesday Rob
Parker along with Kelvin Washington right here on Fox Sports Radio,

Speaker 3 (14:08):
You know what, it's perfect? No rock you see all that.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
We'll go to tell you why it's perfect though, because
this is blessed right Alex Alex. But this is blessed right,
yes see, and the Detroit Tigers are blessed right now.
Not to mention this is Fred Heman. He's from Detroit.
So it's a whole little job right there. Fox Sports
Radio the couple, Rod Parker Kevin Washington on a worst
Show Wednesday. At bottom of the hour, victafor will join

(14:31):
us senior writer at the athletic talk some raiders and
all the drama that is happening there. We're being brought
to you live by the Tyreck dot com studios. Also,

good writtens or good run.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Talking about the Houston Astros rap.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
Because their run is officially over with the being swept
by the Tigers in the wild card round of the playoffs.
All right, age seven, seven ninety nine, on Fox. If
you want to jump in, let's start with Jay in Georgia.
You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jake?

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 8 (15:26):
Rob? What doing well?

Speaker 5 (15:29):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (15:31):
So I usually listen to you on all things baseball,
but I got to disagree with you on this one.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Let me hear this. So you you're good about the Astros, right, Yeah?

Speaker 9 (15:41):
So so I made a lot of braves.

Speaker 10 (15:42):
Man.

Speaker 8 (15:43):
You know what happens to this between the nineties and
the media two thousand we want thirteen straight to visit.

Speaker 9 (15:48):
Ship there we am, you know what I mean?

Speaker 8 (15:52):
So I feel like what the Astro d were pretty
impressibles long they got call Key in and then they
revalidated themselves with that world scene. I know quarterback is
the maybe the tookest position to play in sports, but
I always felt like putting the baseball bat and hit
the baseball? What's the hardest thing to actually doing sports?

(16:12):
So you can, I think, so all the buzzers you
want to, but at the end of the day, you
still got to go put the ball on the bed
and runs.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
Yeah, but I got it, Jay, But it is an
advantage of you know what's coming because you know you
already got to split second, right.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
You see, it's what out of dot's an advantage. But
to Jay's point, James, look this run, it wasn't like that.
I mean, they got a bunch of talented players. You know,
I like to call him Jose five to because brother
about five ft two. That's why you got a bunch
of players. Springer did this thing. I mean, listen, they
made a bunch of names out of you still got
Justin Verlander talking about he coming back again. I don't
know if he gonna pitch, so he's forty nine. But

(16:48):
they made all stars. They got a couple of t
World Series titles out of it, a bunch of seventh
straight ALCS appearances.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I mean, it was a run.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
Marty in Kentucky, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
What's Marty?

Speaker 5 (17:01):
What's up?

Speaker 10 (17:02):
Fellas? How y'all doing?

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Hey, Marty doing great? How are you?

Speaker 1 (17:06):
I'm good.

Speaker 10 (17:08):
I was not totally surprised that these red hot Tigers
took out the Astros.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
I was in two games, though, Marty, I had to
talk with Win in the series. But to go down
there with all the games were in Houston and Win
like that was they're just.

Speaker 10 (17:26):
They're just on fire there. It's what it's what needed
to happen to knock off the Astros. My dad, you know,
I've told you a huge Yankee fan name my brother
Jamickey Mantle. We were talking about this probably two months
ago and Andy Yankees were playing well, and I said, Dad,
I still feel like if they meet the Astros in
the playoffs, they're mentally have a block against them. And

(17:49):
what it what what what we needed or their Yankee
fans needed it some young, hot team that doesn't even
look at them like that just to come in and
knock them off. But now you gotta worry abou Tigers.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
Right well, we don't want to play the Guardians first.

Speaker 10 (18:04):
Right, And on the subject, I will say I believe
that Tigers would have to win another championship to put
what they did behind most fans mind and not Rob Barker's,
but the majority of fans. I think they need to
They would need to win. Me I got yeah, sorry,
I say the yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
So that's why you're good riddings, right Marty? Right now? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:31):
All right, than that's what he's saying. He's like, they
gotta win one more to then people are all right.
Maybe they really did have the talent. They made it
happen their own fruition, not because of the cheating.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox and Squeeze another Rich,
what's up? Rich? Rich in Texas?

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Yes, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 9 (18:48):
Hey, I think without a doubt, this was a great run, man.
And I say this because hey, like it or not?
Baseball game of cheating. You know, I played baseball after college.
There wasn't a single game I was involved with where
somebody wasn't trying to treat it. You weren't paying attention.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
But Rich, come on, you gotta admit. You gotta admit
like the banging of the trashy and you could you
could see it and hear it.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Oh no, what I mean?

Speaker 5 (19:17):
I mean?

Speaker 1 (19:17):
We had all types of audio and audio a k team,
And Rich, if.

Speaker 6 (19:20):
You were on the other team and you found out
that they knew what they were doing, and they and
they and they beat you, you're gonna tell me you
would feel good about that.

Speaker 9 (19:30):
You don't think other players didn't know about it? Why
didn't they speak up earlier? If people left their organization
and left their team, there's no way that there was.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
There wasn't a player.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
There was one player on the team who refused to
take part in it.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
It was a picture I believe who refused to take
the part of it. Yeah, I think it was right.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Yeah, hey, hey, his point was, uh that look, there
is a subconscious, subliminal, unspoken thing like you know that
I know that there's some cheating going on. And the
last thing I'll say before we get the train. It
reminds me of Michigan football, like they're like, hey, they're
stealing the signs that they hold up. And then you look,
you've watched the documentary that you were in, and you
realize everybody's doing everybody has a secret, dark, shadowy young

(20:11):
guy who's on hearing people transmitting signs. So it's just
one of those things. And as a Dodger fan myself,
I hate to see it. I was upset, still am upset.
But we're gonna look back and be like, oh man,
that run the Houston Ashers. The people are gonna be
like they had a heck of a run. That's what
I think is gonna happen. Good ridds Victate for joining us,
and just amit before we do that.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Joining us now is Victafer coming to you live from
the Tyreck dot Com studio, Senior writer at the Athletic
with the Raiders, and co hosts of Just Win podcast, Just.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Win, Yeah, Just Win.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Well, it ain't a whole lot of that happening right now,
victafor appreciate you joining us, man.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (21:00):
Not much? How you guys doing doing great?

Speaker 1 (21:02):
We're doing good, man. Obviously there's a lot going on
with the Raiders right now. Rob and I had a
long conversation about it yesterday. I'll start talking about man. Look, Vic,
social media always getting people in trouble, get players, and
I don't mean players as in football players, I mean
players out here in these streets, these Roman streets too.
He always social media gets people in trouble. Now you

(21:22):
got Antonio Pierce possibly liking a post about the training
of Davante Adam. Tell us what's going on with that?
And just the chaos with this trade possibly possible trade.

Speaker 5 (21:33):
Yeah, man, you gotta watch your fingers man, k't be
liking any post out there. I gotta be careful. But
we don't know if Auntil he liked the post before
or after the voluntaire quested. The trade could be either way.
We don't actually know if it was on purpose or
by accident. Today he wouldn't talk about, which I think
was the right move at this point. He kind of
just kind of move forward. I think they're looking for
a trade partner. DeVante players last game the Rads, so

(21:55):
they kind of you know, it's always a circus here
with the Raiders, and this is no different.

Speaker 6 (22:00):
But what about I mean, I just wonder about the
whole idea that Antonio peers. It doesn't even matter when
he did it, like a coach to do something like
that in that situation, how is that supposed to look?

Speaker 3 (22:14):
It just seems juvenile to me and not mature and
not smart.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Yeah, I mean, like I said, I got wrote today,
any read wouldn't be coming we seem doing that. He
wouldn't be throwing somebody how else he was throwing it
out of it. It may have been a mistake, mat
I liked some post on mistakes at the time, So
but yeah, again, you can't do it, and solidly it's
a second mistake in the last ten days. He had
won last week after the loss of the Panthers, or
Pierce kind of called his players out to do They
made business decisions, they weren't really going all out and

(22:40):
that kind of put him in a bad spot and
he apologized to that comment later. But so two mistakes
by a coach he's still kind of learning is the
first time being a head coach, is kind of learning
his way still, but two big mistakes in the last
ten days.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
How surprised are you?

Speaker 6 (22:52):
Because he played in the league, he's a player, you
would feel like he has more compassion for guys, whereas
if you were to guy who loved football and you
studied it, but you never really played it and you
never had that.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
This is the part that's shocking is that he knows.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
How that affects players, and it feels like he's trying
to push his players away from him when they were
the ones who rallied behind him after you know, he
took over as a entrum and didn't want the team
to go interview anybody else and wanted him to.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Have the job. The do players feel the betrayed.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
Somewhat betrayed, a little strong. I think you have a
good point, but I think also was a former player,
you probably get more emotional than you should be after
a game, like it was a really really bad loss.
Like he had told the fans please come out and
support us, because in the past or Raider games at home,
it's half Raider fans half opposing fans, right, and that
week is the Panthers. They they don't travel very well,

(23:45):
so those are real chances to have them, real real
home crowd for ones. And they did. The fans showed up.
It was totally silver and black or loud or fired up.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
And then they get their bucks kicked.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Right yeah, and they got the bus kicks. So the
coach is a little embarrassed. It comes to tennis afterwards
to us and obviously it's a little hot as players,
and he said somethings that you probably shouldn't have me.
He knows that, but so maybe that's kind of the
players sided. The emotional Being a former player, I mean,
that was part of what I had him in trouble
at that day.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
We are with Vic Taefer right now. He is senior
writer at the Athletic for the Raiders. Co host of
the Just Win podcast Victator on Twitter give him a
follow if you don't.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
So, now let's talk about the possible trade. I mean
they're saying that possibly could be the Jets, which would
obviously put him back with his man's Aaron Rodgers. What
is the likelihood of him where you think he'll land?
I know what I'm saying, So I say it's as well.
Uh people are saying Cowboys need to go all in
because they need somebody else the need that. Well, I

(24:42):
think they've concluded that, hey, defense ain't it this year?

Speaker 3 (24:45):
We might as well just outscore people.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
What are you saying, Vic, Yeah, I think all those
teams make sense to me. Obviously, he loves Aaron Rodgers,
and he loves Derek Carr to the former quarterbacks, and
I think part of them kind of regrets said they
didn't have a full shot with Derek here in Vegas
kind of went south after less in the season. So
one are two places he wants to go. I think
the Cowboys make Santy be a guy who'm definitely a
big boost in the offense, and so I think there'll

(25:07):
be a lot of teams in the mix that The
question is how much you're want to pay the Raiders
right now, saying to our second round pick. At least
that's a lot. I mean for a guy who's going
to make a lot of money next year, you got
to redo his deal also, So there's a lot to
kind of your team. Looking at Demanta Adams is a
lot to consider it. I mean, really, it's not a rush,
I don't think, because you can wait a couple of
weeks and see where you're at. And so I don't
know if this delk has done anytime real soon, but

(25:29):
clearly he wants to go. They want to move on,
but they want to move on at the right price.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
How about where are the Raiders just in general?

Speaker 6 (25:36):
You know, Gardner Menshew's a quarterback, and you know they
won that game in Baltimore. That was the one that
hurt because they came back, scored what thirteen points in
the fourth quarter on the road against that defense. You go, wow,
maybe the Raiders got something going come home, get their
butts kick. And then you look at him. I mean,
what are the expectations for this team?

Speaker 5 (25:56):
I would say it's somewhere. It's still in the middle
of it. They're two and two. I think if you
lose the Vanta, clearly that's gonna be a big hit offensively,
and they have him been great anyway with him, and
I think the problem is the defense. They lost a
couple of guys aready for the year. They lost Malcolm
Couns pass rusher, Marcus Abster, the best safety. So again
that Martins erraor gets smaller and smaller than Max. Crosby
is dealing with the high ankle spreading. So I don't

(26:17):
know if you consider this was a playoff team before
they moved out for DeVante or after, but it probably
still eight to ten. Eight nine wins probably is your
best case scenario.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Eight nine wins. I mean that would be best case scenario.
I think they I think they would absolutely.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Take a high water mark.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Yeah, hey, next when you next time you went the t,
can you do me a favorite? Can you tell Crosby?
I said, what's up?

Speaker 5 (26:38):
Man?

Speaker 1 (26:38):
He's like the only alum from eastern Michigan. I went
to tell him. Tell him, I said, what's up, man,
There's only a few of us were out here in
these streets. Did he go and graduate? He went, I
can't tell you this. I wouldn't I wouldn't. First of all,
I'm like a decade older. The second of all, I
don't know. I didn't get his transcript. What do you
want from it?

Speaker 5 (26:54):
I'm just asking, hey, but just semantics exactly.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
As matter of fact, I think we actually poll a
lot of people who went to college or they graduate.
I think we'd be shocked right now if we did
an audit on that. Vict Tate for Man, we appreciate
you joining us so much. Thank you, We appreciate you, brother,
Thanks for the knowledge. All right, Victaate for on Twitter?
Make sure you follow him? Don't don't you know, don't
don't have athletes? Okay, you know what funny? I really
do think if you actually like especially of a certain

(27:21):
age and up. I think a lot of people just
put I went spent a couple of years into college,
don't people?

Speaker 3 (27:26):
You know?

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Nowadays it's different, right, we have Google, We can quickly
access information.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Are people say that and they really have them?

Speaker 1 (27:33):
That's why I asked, Yeah, people spend some time at
a couple of schools.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
You know what I mean? You went to you went
to uh, you know NYU four year too?

Speaker 1 (27:40):
You know, went to Columbia four year You like, Hey,
I would.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Right, I gad you ate it. Hey coming up, this
is gonna be spun. It is man, one gotta go.
So we we've been wanting to do this.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
We're finally gonna do this, which is where you put
four things give or take, and you say, listen, they're
all good, but one gotta go. The only problem is
I said they're all good, and none of this is good.
None of these are actually good. We're gonna do that
and just a bit. Also, Shekel City, you were five
hundred as of yesterday.

What's the record, Rob, Well, you're nervous over there. I'm
a little nervous the record? What do you, Alex? You

night though, I thank you. I was over two and one.

So I'm still over five, are you mathey Matthew Rogers.
Oh no, right, we were even yesterday.

Speaker 11 (30:11):
Oh no, No, twenty seven twenty you were up. No,
you were up one. Yes, it was even now that
uhould be even? No, I no, I was up two.
You're up war you're twenty seven three days ago? What
did you guys say one two three times?

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Look, I was.

Speaker 6 (30:27):
Twenty six and twenty four and then we're one and
two twenty seven and twenty six.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
I just showed it to you, all right. Anyway, all right,
let's go, all right, here we go. We got these
out earlier.

Speaker 6 (30:39):
Of course, I had the Astros minus one and a
half against the Tigers.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
That was wrong. Tigers won that game. Yeah, the Orioles
minus one and a half. I was wrong on that one.
Maybe we were saying you five hundred now five hundred.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
I'm under five hundred now, and I have also the
Brewers plus one and a half and they were already
down one nothing to the Mets in the first time
early though. Yeah, but still, I mean they got beat
last night. All right, I'm not gonna tell just do
me a favor. I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you you.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Ain't never telling me to be so rob You're a
regular season heroes. What you're telling me no, not good
in the postseason. So far, it's okay, Lebron.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
So let me guess Yankees, Padrez? Is that what it is? Well,
you know, we'll see.

Speaker 6 (31:19):
That's why I picked the Yankees and Dodgers to start,
all right, Well.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Not mad at that dot, I mean, all right, this
is gonna be fun, guess will be fun? What will
be fun for you? Not the rest of us, It'll
be painful for our ears. We got to hear about this.
So Wednesday, what do we want to do? Is uh,
one gotta go? So we're gonna do. You have a
bunch of your jingles that you've had over the years,
just some songs, you know, just some songs that you
get all excited for, like you're dropping an R and

(31:44):
B album and we want to play them, and collectively,
we're all gonna have to decide it. Even you can
decide which one gotta go. All right, let's get to it.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
Is that even number?

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Figure it out? That's right.

Speaker 12 (32:04):
The debut of One's Got to Go. This is the
Rob Parker edition. We're doing another one later on in
the hour for this.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
One just for you Riding Bombarded.

Speaker 12 (32:12):
That's at the top of the show with jingles. So
now we got four of them right here in the system.
We're gonna play them all segments of them. Yes, afterwards
where he discussed it. One of them is gonna be
deleted permanently.

Speaker 6 (32:24):
I don't know how you can there all mastermind will decide,
the master piece, will will decide.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
I'm a writer and I'm a singer. You didn't even
know that. Yeah, sports writers to the first one, the
longest one. We're gonna cut it short.

Speaker 12 (32:38):
But Rob's owed to the great country of Canada in
all of fus Co.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Man, you know you sound like Chris Rock. Oh man,
if you and Chris Rock did a duet like that,
would you know what?

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (33:03):
You know this being from the Detroit area, you know,
with Canada is so close. We heard the national anthem
from Canada.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
We used to be there drinking gamblebee at nineteen so
everybody used to go there.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
That is true. I'll give you that all right.

Speaker 12 (33:17):
Number two, Rob Parker has been around the world so
many times he made music about it.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Take a listen this guy. I don't know why you

(33:41):
went to Dubai.

Speaker 6 (33:42):
All right, numbers three, You got goosebumps from here on
that song that's is Cold in the Room.

Speaker 12 (33:47):
This one's rich because Rob doesn't even like the guy.
This song's about. This is a little bit of wimby,
can't we.

Speaker 6 (33:53):
Everyone knows it's swim I was trying to tell Chris
like he's wanna be the rookie.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Of the year.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
Wait out your time.

Speaker 6 (34:03):
Everyone knows the twim Okay.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
All right, that might be the leading candidate. Last but
not least.

Speaker 12 (34:11):
This has been the longest in the system, so I'd
be kind of heartbroken if it went away.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Twitter didn't even exist anymore. It's probably catching this song.

Speaker 13 (34:18):
It's my Twitter, and I'll block it by walk to
block it by walk to block it by walk to
you want block to if they tried to.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
You, what more do you want to read? I don't
want no more?

Speaker 1 (34:36):
So all right here if we're going around the room voting,
and by the way, you can get it on this
hit us up at Rob Parker MLB bro Hit me
up KATEB Live odd couple FSR hit us up there.
We'll reby read some of the best sweets throughout the
show a little bit. All right, you want to who
wants to start me? Fine, I'll start. Glad you can start.
Block party is what I'm gonna call it. That one

(34:56):
stays I'm not so cl like that one. I actually
can't back. I hate on that. It gives me a
chance to do Mutumble and the great Mutumble. I like
that Dubai. I was thinking about saying everyone, I don't
know that I might have to say Dubai bye to Dubai.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
Here's why win Me is worse.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
But he's gonna be here for like twenty more years,
so I figured we might as well have that so
we can work it in throughout twenty years of the
NBA season. So Dubai Dubai to Dubai, I'm saying bye.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
That's just your boy, Alex, Alex, where are you? Alex
is the one who plays most of them. That's a
good point. So I'll say this, Rob.

Speaker 14 (35:35):
I am somebody who takes a lot of pride and
effort at making the show sound great, and the audio
quality is so bad in Dubai Dubai going to wait
to say goodbye to the Dubai all right.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Too well, but you're holding on to old Canada though
Canada our friends in North. Does Rob have a vote
in this? No?

Speaker 1 (35:56):
No, no, So it's clearly Dubai. But Rob ge either way,
what you say.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
I'll tell you what I'm getting rid of Canada?

Speaker 12 (36:03):
Okay, because for one, nobody on this show is Canadian.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
And if we're gonna do any non.

Speaker 12 (36:10):
National anthem that's from America, it gotta be from Mexico.

Speaker 5 (36:13):
Rap.

Speaker 12 (36:14):
You gotta represent the loan minority on this show. Hey,
I Brian is we gotta keep the Twitter?

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Obviously I'm cool with that.

Speaker 14 (36:27):
But with Dubai, I feel like Rob your voice cracked
a little bit like talk like if.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Your voice before puberty, I think you can hit some
of those notes. What voice drop since? So basically that
was Bobby Brady? Is that what you're saying? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (36:42):
And last point, as we get ready to break here,
you gotta get something more current. Bro. I'm gonna help you,
help me, Let me help This is me help you.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
No, at least.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Nineties, come on, so I'm not saying two thousands. Just
give me something for the eighties and nineties. What were
the doors? Was that the monkeys? No, no rolling Stone,
the Beatles, the Beatles.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
I know that. My point is my gosh, you gotta
get me something else.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Our number two's coming up on the couple. Aaron Rodgers
might be the issue. We'll talk about it next. Fox
Sports Radio.
