Let's give this partties.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
That's im name, right, but I'm still riding it. Oh
oh still up? My goodness. Uh, it is the Odd Couple.
I was due.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
I was due for one. Our number two on The

(01:00):
The way tired buying should be. And uh, we're gonna
talk some more football. Monday Night football is about to
get started, uh with the the first game is the
Tampa Bay Bucks and the Baltimore Ravens Baltimore Ravens, and
then the nightcap Chargers at the Cardinals. That's the nightcap.
And also we're gonna talk some w n B A
(01:23):
in this hour too. Not I mean, I never missed
the w I AM but but I did. I didn't
even have to watch the game to see the stats.
The New York Liberty won the championship. And when you
hear the stats, it is that like, like the stats
alone tell you that they got that the who is
(01:44):
it the Minnesota Lakes that they got?
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Job?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Am I right? Did they not? I mean, just from
the stats, that's how bad the stats are. Yeah, And
we'll get into that in just a little big there's
a there's a whole conversation we had. But I do
want to say this.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Okay, so you know, I have a new little social
media segment called the Parker Pushback.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
That we're right you letting you boy, somebody gonna push
you in the sh It's.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Okay, I'm pushing and today we're about to drop that
pretty soon. I'm pushing back on former New York Giants
running back and current New York sports talk radio win bag.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Uh Tiki Barber, Oh Tiki, what Tiki didn't say?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
You know what he said about sakuon Barkley when he
signed with the Eagles that he was dead to him,
and which was utterly ridiculous. If you remember, the Giants
came out with this this chart and told everybody how
running backs start to go backwards and decline at age
twenty seven. And then Sakwan came in first game against
(02:47):
the Giants, right at Giants at the Meadowlands or whatever
call met life, and ran off for one hundred and
seventy six yards. Only seventeen carries had a touchdown, had
sixty eight more yards then the Giants had as a
team yesterday.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
And this is the guy that they're blaming because the
Giants signed Daniel Jones instead of Saquon Barkley. And then
they're mad at him because the Eagles gave him an
offer that was worthy of his talent and the Giants
didn't even give him an offer.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
As if he was supposed to stay loyal to them,
like it wasn't like he was, you know, put in
ten years with them, they'd won a ring, and I'm
never going to the enemy.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Man.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
I'm still on this, you know, coming out of this
rookie deal. I need you all to take care of me.
Give me the bag so we can continue to do
what we're doing. Let's I want to stay here. Let's
make this thing happen. They made a big mistake, Rob g.
Do we have the sound of what the owner Mara
had to say about Saquon Barkley. If you were watching
Hard Knocks the offseason edition, listen to what Mara said
(03:47):
about Saquon Barkley. He was concerned. This is when he
was a free agent, as you were talking about, and
he was like, man, I really hope he doesn't go
to Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
How he did off from a con like like the
idea that you're, oh, I don't want him to go
to this team, or that's really once you do, once
you decide you're not gonna sign him, What do you
care what he had to say.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
I have a tough time to sleep.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Beneficent Quad goes the film. I'll tell you that, as
I've told.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
You just being up, I had been around enough players,
but he's the he's the most popular player we have
by far.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
So I let him go.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
So yeah, he's so popular that they signed Daniel Jones
and didn't give him a cover.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
And not even I don't even like the term popular,
right because you can be popular. Every team, whether it
pick the sport, has a popular guy who's like a
utility guy, whatever the sport is. No, he was your
most popular and your best player. Sometimes they may not
go hand in hand, right, your best player most popular
might be the fun guy who comes off the bench
and gets the crowd like, uh, you know Birdman, Birdman
or something like that down in Miami, Like you can
(04:49):
have that kind of guy. No, he was the most
popular and the best player by far, and you got
rid of him. And I was talking about this, like
why do sometimes they do you don't You don't have
to do the copycare league where everybody else is getting
running running running backs. Nobody else believes in running backs.
Everybody else said, you could just dump a running back. Yeah,
I get that. If your running back is solid. You
(05:10):
guys had a special running back, right, you have a
Christian McCaffrey, Sat Kwon Barkley, Derrick Henry type running back.
We ain't just getting rid of those types of backs.
And it's come to bite him. And I know he
was kind. He had a chance to go get what
it was a twelve seventeen more yards to set his
own personal record. He said, Nah, don't know if you
got a chance to see that. Robbie said, nah, let
the young boys. They came to him and said, hey,
(05:31):
you can keep going and you know, break your own record.
He's like, nah, let the young boys go. So I
like what say Kron's about. He's about winning, He's about
putting up some big time numbers on his former team.
And yeah, they absolutely missed that, just following the trend.
Nobody signs running backs, nobody does this. Man, you're in
a different situation. You don't have a franchise quarterback that
(05:53):
that's good. Your team wasn't that great he is. However,
he's that special, he's that unique, and you didn't have
to pay him something crazy one hundred and twenty guaranteed.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
No.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
But but he was the reason Daniel Jones got off.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
We're worried about him, Joe, because of the threat of
sun that allowed Daniel Jones to do his thing. And
everybody now knows what a terrible deal that was for
Daniel Jones and the idea. I mean, after that game yesterday,
the general manager, front office people whoever signed off on
(06:28):
that whole thing to let Saquon go inside Daniel Joe,
they all should have been fired. What an embarrassing thing.
And Daniel Jones, rob g what is it? He hasn't
throw a touchdown since last year. He hasn't throw the
touchdown in New York or in New Jersey since last year?
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Like, are you kidding?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
He finally got bench right in that game they got
they lost twenty eight to three. They can't get anything going.
How in the world who's running these teams? The general
manager had the nerve to come out and give you
a tell you about running backs? Got twenty seven is
when they decline, and so we're not gonna sign him,
but we'll sign this terrible quarterback who's year that they
(07:10):
paid him forty million dollars, had like fifteen touchdowns in
seventeen games.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
That was the guy that That was the guy you
had to have. Come on, I'm telling you it's just
a copycat league. If you know, about seven eight years ago,
maybe it was a year, maybe a little longer. Now,
everybody started to get up up on the running backs.
They started to give up on them all they get
hurt or oh, I can just find me a six fifths,
six round running back, I'll be fine. I know you
can't like yeah, maybe for a handful of guys, and
(07:39):
maybe even the two thirds of the league. I'll give
you that. But there's a certain sector where you look
at him and say.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
No, that's Trek Henry as Baltimore, Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Sure could use Dereck Henry right now instead of getting
rid of him. How about McCaffrey when he left, when
he when Caffrey's healthy, you saw he went straight to
the forty nine ers. You see what he's done, been
arguably the best player one two or three offensive MVP
caliber guy with the forty nine ers. So to me,
you have to take each situation, each player on its
own merit right, All right, what do we have? Who
(08:09):
are we what do we do? He's our most popular player,
We're selling jerseys. He's giving it his all. It's not
like he has a bad rapper. We don't believe. He
works hard. He's dedicated to us, He's played hard. Let
this let's set the good karma for taking care of
this guy, setting the mold, setting the team for this
is how we are. This is a franchise. You come
play well, you work hard, You'll be rewarded. We're gonna
start heading in the right direction. And you got rid
(08:30):
of your best player, your most popular player, and you
signed Daniel Jones. And now you look like a team
that signed Daniel Jones.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Look at how about like the Giants deserve all of this,
They got.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
The New York City smalls or something they need.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
They deserve all of this because I don't like, you
don't even have to be a front office person.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
How did they get this wrong?
Speaker 1 (08:54):
They really looked at Daniel Jones and thought, oh, if
we got to pick between these two Sakuon Barkley and
Daniel Jones, it's gonna be Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
A lot of money too. It wasn't like they signed
him because they're like, hey, he's been solid, he's good enough,
we think blah blah blah blah blah. They gave him
a lot of money. That Daniel Jones agent probably was like, huh,
he said, did you did you call the right number?
Speaker 6 (09:18):
Right?
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Hello?
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Wait, Daniel Jones, this is who you right? Because it
didn't make any sense. And again, and I'm glad to
see some of these running backs are getting you know,
the the I guess revenge if you will. Uh. And
it's starting to have a bunch of success with these
teams who realize, Yo, we're the Baltimore Ravens. Were already good.
We already went to AFC Championship game. You know what
will make us even better him Derrick Henry.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
And here's the other thing too, And this is why
I'm gonna pushback on the fans, the Giants fans. How
dare they boo Tiki? I Meanwon Barkley?
Speaker 2 (09:51):
How big?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
How dare they burn his jersey as if he did
something wrong? The Giants didn't off from a contract. I
don't even understand the whole notion. I get that there's
a rivalry between the Eagles and the Giants.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
It's one thing.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
If the Eagles and the Giants offered him the same
amount of money, or the Giants offered him more money
and he went to the Eagles, all bets are off there, right.
Oh no, he left. Us were trying to take care
of him. We showed him love this whole time here.
But no, Remember he had to hold out one year
and had to come back begging basically to get no
(10:30):
kind of pay, and then to go to the Giants,
and then they basically had no deal for him because
they decided that they weren't going to pay both of
those guys, and the fans are mad somehow are mad
at Saquon Barkle. It's the same thing with Tiki barber
who I have on the pushback. Tiki Barbera says he's
(10:52):
dead to me, dead to you. How what did Saquon do?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
He literally wanted to stay there, tried to stay there,
had to hold out. And remember he was just trying
to keep this a right attitude last season, like hey,
I'm just here. You know, I'm gonna just do what
I gotta do. I'm gonna just ball out and just
let the chips fall what they mean, Like, y'all clearly
don't want me or you want me for a disrespectful rate, right,
it doesn't make any sense. Another team's appreciates my skill set,
(11:18):
wants me seize my value. So on, if they're in
the division, so on, if they're an hour and a
half drive away, whatever it is, Like, that's on, y'all.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Why wouldn't you go where somebody's willing to pay you
what's your worth?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
And everybody listening would do that right now. But the
fans burning is Jersey. That's a seriously, that's a weird.
That was a weird one, because again, it wasn't as
if he did it on prep. And he hasn't even
really slighted them either. He hasn't been overly critical of them.
He's just kind of moved on with his life. Yeah,
that's a strange one. This is why I get mad
at fans who get mad at players and never really
(11:51):
met at ownership, never really get mad at general managers.
The same people who sit here hold Prescott. Oh he's
a lifer. We're never getting rid of this guy. He's
so happy he here, trade them a year later, make
bad decisions, sign bad folks, draft terribly, and then a
guy says, hey, man, this is a horrible situation, a
horrible environment. I went out of here, and they're mad
at the player. Meanwhile, the general manager of the ownership
(12:14):
is the one cultivating this bad environment, bad team, making
bad decisions. They've like tricked the common man, and in
getting mad at the common man for some big you know,
money man stuff, moneyman type stuff, is the most remarkable
thing to me. All right, hey, they've been able to
pull that off.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine
nine six sixty three sixty nine. Should the entire Giants
runt offers be fired today for picking Daniel Jones over
Sakwan Barkley. Boy, did he rub it in their face yesterday?
Without a doubt. It couldn't even more, but Chow's not
to exactly. I mean he had more yards than the
Giants total offense yesterday. It was an embarrassing game for
(12:52):
the New York Football Giants. We'll continue the conversation next
with you eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine sixty three sixty nine. It is the
Odd Couple on a Magic City Monday, Rob Parker kelvin Washington,
Stick and stay.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
That's all. I'm name right, but I'm still riding it.

By the way, Monday Night Football, you got two games.
This one is the more entertaining one. The Ravens at
the Buccaneers who just scored a touchdown four minutes thirty
three seconds of the drive seventy yards eight place. Now
I was looking at the numbers, Rob Parker, Baker Mayfield
(14:07):
nine sixteen touchdowns to five interceptions. I told you earlier, dude,
what a comeback story for Baker Mayfield. I'm looking at you,
Rob g Baker, looking at you too, staring you in
your soul. He has played so well, man, he's been comedy.
Matter of fact, even took it to Tom Brady, had
some words or mister analyst, Tom Brady, who can't really
(14:28):
give you analysis anymore because he can't go anywhere and
look at anything and study this and going to anybody's
practice facilities. But no, Baker has been spectacular, and with
those weapons he has obviously Mike Evans, who has just
been I don't know if there's been a more consistent
player in the NFL the last ten years. One hundredth
career reception touchdown for him, eleventh all time with one
hundred plus touchdowns. He's just been the embodiment of Steady.
(14:52):
So yeah, it's a big shout out to what they're
doing right now. But the Ravens get the ball now,
Rob g you got that list.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
The exclusive company from Mike. Here's the list of other
NFL guess and we guess sure there are ten more
with one hundred touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
So Jerry Rice clear, let's just start that off. Randy Moss,
let's just start. Calvin Johnson, Nope, I was gonna say
get there. Owens Ding, Uh, what's your boy? Marvin Harrison Senior?
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Ding?
Speaker 2 (15:22):
You want to hop in on this?
Speaker 4 (15:23):
What?
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Uh? Right now? Rob? Do you give the rest of
the list? Will be all day? Okay, No, he won't.
I'm getting them. Chris Carter, Yeah, that makes sense. Larry Fitzgerald,
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
Antonio Gates, okay, Tony Gonzalez, Tim Brown, this is my
favorite Steve Largin.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Steve here, and you gotta remember Steve Layd in that
era of football. That's a lot, that's a lot of touchdowns.
Because they used to give the ball to the running back.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
What did Calvin Gyant go? Lie, I wasn't mad at
Rod for that? What do you get like ninety two
or some ninety nine was he did he get? Need
one more?
Speaker 1 (15:57):
But they couldn't and they couldn't rush to put him
in the Hall of Fame. Man, that's shocking. That is
not on that list. Why I had an issue with
the quitting on the Lions. That was my biggest Did
you were you mad in ninety nine with Berry?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah? Yeah, that he could eighty three. That's not about
two more years too.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
All right, Let's go eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox talking about Sakuon, Barkley h and the Giants.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
He did a number on them, rubbed it in their
face big time.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
And I'm saying the front office and the people signed
off on that deal to sign Daniel Jones and disrespect Sakuon.
They should be out the door after what happened yesterday
at MetLife Stadium. Jimmy in Texas, you're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jimmy?
Speaker 6 (16:38):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (16:38):
Hey, DJ from the Lone starts taking my check, Yes, sir, sir,
check check? Hey, how's it going tonight, guys. So, yeah,
that's about a little bit on the podcast couple of
weeks ago. You know, what does it feel like to
go to your boss and say, hey, you know that
one hundred and forty million dollars we spend on that product,
it's no good. You know, we can't use it. It's
not gonna help us anymore. And that's what happened with
(17:00):
Daniel Jones. And then just to you know, to add
a little salt on the cake, they decided to trade
their only jersey sales. You know, I thought they're selling
in these jerseys outside of Elie Neighbors this year, but
they decided to trade their only jersey, selling their best
athlete at Saint Pont Barkley to a team that just
rubbed him all in their face. And so it has
(17:20):
to be you know, and I'm a Cowboys fan, so
let me tell you all about being tricked by the
front office that decisions being aged. I'm all, I know
all about it, but that has to be by far
one of the worst. First off, if we just remember
back to when Daniel Jones was drafted, do you guys
remember New York Giants and Giants fans going what at
number four right right.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Right right? Nobody could believe it.
Speaker 7 (17:41):
Yeah, but that's about one hundred and forty million dollars
you know, in debt and out out of their best
player because of it. So it's it's a shame and
the crid out loud, Hey said.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
You guys, that's what Rob and I talked about that
where ownership they can't get past them, that have to
stay with us, like the I talked about it, showing
you that this is the right decision, this was the
right ro.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
We got to prove to you. It's not about it's
about getting it right, not being right. And that's what
they talked about. Now Cleveland can do it because the
Shawn Watson can't play, but they were going to keep
them in there despite going.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Right before your fall, folks, pride comes before the fall.
Who we got next? Randy in California? And why you're
on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Randy?
Speaker 4 (18:23):
How's it going, gentlemen?
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Good? How are you good? Good?
Speaker 4 (18:27):
I just wanted to say I enjoy your show. I
don't really watch sports. I could only I only get
my i'll takes from you guys because I don't rush
to watch the traditional esc and all stuff. You guys
are more relatable to the average Joe talking about sports
at the bar. That's why I enjoyed listen keeps.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
I appreciate you man. That means a.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Lot, thank you, and I could I could only speak
as a Raiders fan. You know, you'll never hear of
the management and ownership said I made a mistake. It's
like it's like politicians. They'll say one thing and do
another thing behind closed doors. And that's why I stopped
watching sports years ago, because US fans are more faithful
and loyal to a team than any ownership. It's just
(19:10):
about business and I get it. I get it. That's
why I don't blame theirmanty for wanting to leave. There's
rumors about Crosby being traded and so forth. It's just
pretty much as a Raider fan, and I'm sure other
nots is our organization, but other organizations feel the same way.
You spend your harder money to buy tickets that are
you know, for years topics to not even care. But
(19:32):
here's what we either made. It left the salar case
in my mouth.
Speaker 7 (19:35):
A couple of.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Years ago, when we were trying to get rid of
McDaniels and fans whore you know, had to sign protests
the fire McDaniels. They were getting kicked out of the figue.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yeah, yeah, like that.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
It's just like, okay, we we make mistakes as owners,
we make mistakes of people, right to mess up. Hey,
we've dropped the ball on this one. We're you know,
we're here for you guys. We're trying to just put
a brighter product out there.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
But it's my biggest issue, all right, one thing ownership
and front offers. They blew it. How could the fans
look at this and be mad at Sakwan? That would
be mad at here. I'd be mad at Thanks for
the call. Appreciate Shasher, your mad at the Giants?
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Right?
Speaker 2 (20:11):
If I'm a fan? What and you got the ownership
I had? Robbz played earlier where he's like, yo, you know,
this was our most popular player. This is you know,
I hope he doesn't go to field like they know
what he had. So it's just strange that they would
absolutely do that. And with the win, this team is
now leading their division. We'll talk about that.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Coming to you live for the Tirereck dot com studios.
The hot couple rock Parker kelvin Washington on a Magic
City Monday, rob they did what they were supposed to do.
The Lions went to Minnesota, took care of business bisness,
and became the tops of that division NFC North, which
by the way, is the best division and all the football.
(21:01):
I mean, the Packers look good, the Vikings still look
good despite the loss of the Lions. Obviously, the Lions
look good. Even the Bears look good as well. So
what a division this ended up being thus far throughout
the season. But the Lions showed us again why they're
the best team in the NFC, maybe top two or
three in all of the NFL, and why they're on
a mission to right the wrongs of the NFC Championship,
(21:24):
where their coach Dan Campbell absolutely was I don't know
what he was on he was doing. He was purposely
trying to lose the game or something, act like he
was allergic to points in that NFC Championship game. I
love what I see from them, the commitment to running
the ball. Two running backs running all over the place.
Jared Goff is by far the best in the NFL
(21:46):
when it comes to the Blitz. He's putting up crazy numbers.
His stats against the Blitz are absolutely ridiculous. And then
I got an assortment of array of offensive guys. It's
Saint Brown one moment, if it's Williams another on the
outside as well, Laporta again, I mentioned the backs, and
then then they have the best offensive line in football.
(22:07):
They look really good. They came in there, took care
of business, and I like what they did. Where sometimes
you get those gameshere you said, all right, well we
lost there the best team in the division. I will
come back now. They said, we're coming in here to
get a win. Now. They let him back in. Jared
Goff threw a bad pick and let him back in
or not pick. I'm sorry. They fumbled the ball. They
picked it up and stre Minnesota came back in that game,
and we did, but they came back, stayed in and
(22:31):
stay locked in, got the field go on the field
goal kicker. What a story has been for him. He
was in the USFL. He didn't even think he was
gonna have a shot in the NFL comes in here.
Now he's kicking game winners to take the lead in
the division. So I'm just loving what I'm seeing from
the Lions, the competitiveness, they have, the whole storyline of
doing it for Aiden Hutchinson. They got crazy pressure on
(22:53):
Sam Darnold, who looks solid, but they got enough pressure
of him to have him make mistakes and get sacked
and rush his passes. The Lions are a real deal, man,
and you now it goes. Nothing's guaranteed. The next year.
You and I talked about the oh Man Kelvin are
your Lions. They'll be fined next year. They'll be finding that.
You don't know that. We've seen teams do that. We
see the Eagles come from amazing season going to the
(23:15):
NFL to the Super Bowl, and then the next season
starting off hot and then becoming bums the rest of
the way. So for me, nothing, You can't take anything
for granted, Organic can't take any game for granted. And
the Lions are going out there taking care of business,
hungry and on a mission to get back to the
NFC Championship game and get where they should have been
the Super Bowl. They cannot tell me about the poopoo
and the Lions. Uh how how how can you find
(23:40):
something to this like? They're more arguably the most likable
team in foot. It's not about being likable.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
But I picked and getting the Lions to win this
game because I told you that Minnesota wasn't gonna be
six and zero, that Sam Donald would eventually turn into
a pumpkin. And it's not the takeaway from the Lions.
I'm just saying I didn't buy into Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
I did. Don't understand why though they I just won
the game, but I did.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
I didn't believe that they were gonna go six and
Oh didn't I say that? I mean I picked the Lions.
I didn't go and go pick against the Lions just
to pick against the Lion. I picked the Lions because
I don't believe in Minnesota. I'm just saying the division
will see as it plays out. And for the Lions,
they were at a point now where it ain't about
the regular season. I hate to break it to you,
it ain't because.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
You can't tell me forty years of horribleness, no, no, no,
a year and a half of good now all of
a sudden it don't matter the regular seas.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
No, no, because the only thing that people will remember
about the law did they get back after they didn't
go to the Super Bowl? And anything less than that
people will be disappointed in their season.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
I'm disappointed. They won't be, they won't be. No, I'm
just knowing that they beat the Cowboys. Everybody the Cowboys.
Tell everybody, beat everybody, Jermy, everybody gets well against the Cowboys. Cool.
I'm gonna go against a five and oh team whose
defense has been killing people. Brian Boyes hasn't and they're
going there in their house. They beat the number one team,
(25:03):
and then in the NFC in the Vikings in a
very competitive, good game, and now it's oh, I mean
it's just Minnesota. I mean it's whoa. They gotta beat
the eighty five bear No, No, they gotta get to
the Super Bowl. Rob g Man, you are no g
You don't give nobody credit if they don't go to
if they don't go back to at least then NFC
Championship game with a chance to get in there. You're
(25:24):
gonna tell me that's a successful season for the Lions.
Rob to you better answer this correctly. Are they really
judged on the Super Bowl their bus basis.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
I didn't say that, but to get back to where
they thought they were gonna get back. Everybody, their fans
believe they were gonna get back to the NFC Championship game.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
I don't view them in that.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
So I'm saying to you, Okay, they win twelve or
thirteen games and they lose in the first round of
their first playoff game.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
I mean, it'd be a little disappointing. Little you know
that that wouldn't be disappointing. But this is the Lions
franchise who sucked most of my life get back to
the NFC Championship. I have to look at this at
a lens of if in a five year period we
went to the NFC Championship game. Maybe we went to
the playoffs and lost hers round, but then we got
back to a NFC shoar, but then we went to
(26:10):
Super Bowl. He won it. If in five years, Jared
Goff gets me to a Super Bowl, a couple of
NFC Championship games and then that was a heck of
a five year stretch. I can't look at it as
they went thirteen and four, but it was a terrible season. No,
this team is franchised. You know you covered them when
you're not there calling for Matt Millan to be gone.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
You know what they've been. I covered that team for
twenty years. I know what they've been.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
You should be in here doing But those looks up
moves the choice though. Also it's not even fair because Rob,
you're the main one. It's about winning and losing. They're
winning right now and they look really good. It's knocking
that they're winning. You knocking, Yeah, you are knocking. But
for this team and the expectations, right, but they were
to get back to this is fiance and this she
(26:56):
had a number one album. Sure, this is what she does.
This is the Lions. So you so you're telling me,
no one put me in a little if they don't
go to the NFC.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
So, if they don't go to the NFC championship game,
this was a successful season because they won twelve in
the regular season. If they win twelve, yes, If they
win twelve and don't get back to the NFC champions this.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Is a disappointing season because that's the expectations. You wont question,
yes or no, is that that is a disappointing season
because of I'm answering your question is a disappointing, But
that's just in a singular question you're asking. I'm just saying,
if you're asking a broader and a much more well
rounded view, this is a franchise now that Dan Campbell.
Remember they started off or they're like, oh to eight,
(27:37):
one in eight or something like that. Then they win
the last eight games. Then they go into last season,
ball out, get to an NFC championship game, should have
went to the Super Bowl. You're by your estimation bounce back,
say they're twelve and five or whatever, and they losing
the playoffs. At some point, they're heading in the right direction.
They have they built a culture that can win. The
(27:58):
Lions are not about a right direction. What do you
mean that's not terrible for thirty.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
They went to the NFC Championship game. They didn't just
like win ten games last year and get to the playoff. Okay,
like they were. They were up twenty eight to what
was the score, rob G twenty eight seventeen, Okay, something
like that. In the first they ran over the forty
nine ers, right, they demolished them in the first half.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
If anything, you would look back and go they choked.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
In the second half because they basically got outscored or
shut out until the very last. They did get one
score I think in the second half. But my point
is that the expectations, because they got there and because
people thought they were going to the super Bowl, you're
not even hearing expectations are now way higher.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
All so that makes make it make sense to me
right now, because you're telling me a team that is
sitting at five and one, balling out quarterback keeps almost
having perfect games. You got running backs running for Honeyard,
both of like they look incredible. I got to all
of a sudden think about what might happen in December
of January. That's how we're not no, no, no, We
(29:05):
talk about what just happened. You can enjoy it all
you what just happened. They beat the number one team
in the conference. I didn't say I didn't take away.
I told you said, oh the Vikings, rob g Who
did I pick on Friday? I picked the Lions. And
what did I say to you? I said to you
the Vikings aren't that good.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
They're not going to be six or not that good one.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I can't deal with you. They can't you beat a
terrible team, the Cowboys. Oh they supposed to be the Cowboys.
I beat the best team in the conference. I mean,
they're not that great. Who do you want me to beat? You?
Go line up the eighty five Bears, Go line up
the ninety two, ninety three Cowboys. I can't do it.
What is this fantasy Madden? I can only beat who's
in front of me, And I'm smacking everybody up. I'm
(29:49):
five and one touchdown Buccaneers, by the way, My goodness,
they were running all over the Ravens right now. But
it is early. But I told you this Buck team,
man Baker Mayfield is not messing around with y'alls.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
There's a flag holding on the offense, so it's coming back,
all right, so right away.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Yeah, but I'm so disappointing you right now. You it's okay,
that's all right.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
You know what, the lion hang around with me for
the next six or seven years.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
You'll be disappointed a lot more. Just like my wife. Yeah,
I'm about to call her and be like, how did
you she gonna lie? I'm like, listen, I'm trying to
do a five year bid. Like you give me, give
me some advice to do this, bid it with seven years.
I was with her two years before we were back.
Now I'm talking about the marriage, okay, because unfortunately I'm
married to you right now with this and this boy,
I tell you who and if you're divorced, you won't
(30:32):
even get half. I won't even get So let me
go check my contrary. Let me call my agent and
see what it is. Uh. You you brought up the
w NBA. Uh somebody think they got uh the thing
the game stolen? Will talk about that is Rob Parker's
the biggest theft in sports history. Has played it, the
biggest theft in sports history. To the game. You aren't
(30:53):
even watching Rob Parker, Calvin Washington, Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (30:56):

the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Well clearly you here it's Magic City Mondays, I couple
Rod Parker, Kelvin Washington Automatic.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Magic City Monday is very important because there's a lot
of young women that need to go get put through school.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
And code of cast that myth that died down. I
think nobody goes to college anymore. It's all go to
they all and they're all influencers.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yeah, at USC, and there are no empty seats at USC.
I hate to break it to you for everybody telling
people that kids don't go to college and they're paying
seventy thousand dollars a year to go to us I'm
talking about and there ain't no empty sea myth.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
I hate doing it to go she is doing it
to be an ig model. We do on the side.
On the side. Oh, there's a lot of we going
on over there, man, it's a lot of week I
have my degree. You ain't speaking what you gotta Doge? Yeah,
you know. At one I get to be a little
I G Batty or whatever. I follow you. I see,
(32:06):
I see what you know. Okay, Yeah, I bet ay,
rob G. I want you to jump on here because
can I tell them we brought ulide from the tyreck

which is so I'm gonna let you cook. But I

location nears you. That's expresspros dot com. And now it's
time for the Express Pro of the week and the
Pro of the week. Ghost to New York Liberty forward
Jacquell Jones. She was named Finals MVP on Sunday A
four points. I'm not gonna let you do that. That's
the Liberty beat the Links to claim their first w
NBA championships. So again, congrat to john Quell Jones for
(32:52):
being our Express Pro of the week. That is so,
and then you want to have this conversation about the
w NBA as if you actually care about this. I
didn't watch it, okay.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
I didn't watch a WNBA game all year, so I'm
gonna beat it obviously, not one game, okay. I saw
the highlights. I saw Caitlin Clark's highlights. I saw a
couple of plays. I saw some elbows to her face.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
I saw that. I heard all of cat talk and
all the women who were bashing her. I heard all that.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
But I did I watch a game. No, the WNBA
season is during baseball season. No, I didn't not.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
That's one hundred and sixty two. I don't care. I
didn't miss you. I did not watch. Nobody ask you
to be all in like that.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
But I woke up with my panties in a bunch
when I heard that the New York Liberty won the championship,
and Rob G, the stats couldn't have been I don't
even if you didn't even watch the game, if I
told you that their best player, what's her name, Rob G?
Speaker 5 (33:49):
You saw a Brianna Stewart. You mean Sabrina iron Escu. Yes, okay, yes, okay.
She shot one for nineteen from the field. The team
team shot thirty percent from the field. The team shot
two for twenty three from three and they won the
(34:11):
championship in this game. How in the world could they
have won? But I think the free throws, Rob G
helped me. Did they have a plus twenty five and
the free throws?
Speaker 2 (34:23):
It was?
Speaker 1 (34:23):
It was plus seventeen and also a terrible call at
the end. Can you tell Telly Mistravel that was there?
The files misstravel was the issue. Brianna Stewart.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
The closing seconds of regulation catches the ball near the
top of the key three point line, takes about four
or five steps.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Don't we call it in New York. You don't we
call it in New York. She took the E trains.
Speaker 6 (34:48):
She took the train and then there was a phantom
foul call, which most of the basketball community on social media,
including Lebron James, agree was not a foul. She makes
the two free throw, studied overtime the rest history. New
York pulls away in overtime and they had the champion.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
But you still had an overtime to come back. And no, no, no,
no no.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
But I'm saying the numbers, Kelvin, just the numbers are
so lopsided. Can you least how could your best players
shoot one for nineteen and you win a chance?
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Way? Are you saying a conspiracy?
Speaker 5 (35:17):
Like what?
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Okay, I get what you're saying. What I give what
you're saying they shot poorly? Are you saying the WBA
one of them? What are you saying?
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Referees job the Minnesota team. That's all I'm saying. And
I'm not saying that it was a coach. I'm not saying, yeah,
I agree with her, and I'm not normally like when
people belly ache about officiating or umpires, I'm usually not
on that bandwagon. But the stats are just so lopsided.
It just doesn't like, how do you feel good about
this championship? Shot thirty percent from the field, two for
(35:48):
twenty three from three like, these are none of these
numbers add up?
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Did you win? That's what That's the credit to the team, right,
you find a way to win. It don't matter. And
by the way, that's a game you had to win
an additional two games to win the against five. I mean, well,
don't listen. We was Kobe in game seven versus the Celtics.
What he's like seven for twenty six or something, six
(36:13):
for twenty four. Give him an extra one. No, but
my point is, like it happens, man, it happens. Everybody's
had some bad games and still finally a win. Joe
had eighteen and eighteen. Rob g played great, right, he
should have shared the MVP. They jobbed him. Don't don't
no old time, you know that wasn't happening. Don't disrespect
John Well Jones seventeen and six. All right, you got
thirteen if she had seven. Ton of Stewart gave you
(36:34):
thirteen and fifteen.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Your best player game went one for nineteen. I don't
think bre honest, do you remember John Starks?
Speaker 2 (36:41):
What was that? What was he doing? He was seventeen?
He was bad too. I mean, oh, say it happens.
Speaker 7 (36:46):
Man.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
How about you watch a couple of games before you
come in out the end? How you gonna wait till
the literal last game, the last second, won, the last
file of the game, to you know, this is ridiculous.
I can't even believe it.
Speaker 7 (36:59):
Man.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
They had a bunch of thirty something thirty some other
games you could have watched, and let me say this.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Had I watched the game and after this performance by
the referees and the ship, I would never watch another
w NBA game.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Guess what they don't have to worry about. I'm winning already.
Guess what they don't have to worry about it you're
watching another game because I'm not not not watching another
w NBA game. What are you gonna do when you're
soon to be niece? As you continue to know my family,
one of my daughters makes it you gonna come to
the game, then no, I'm not coming. I'm just gonna
tell them. I tell you, if I'll tell you your
(37:32):
niece Kennedy, she got her first w NBA game, you
ain't coming I'm not coming. I'm gonna see Kennedy after
it's all over. I'm happy for you. I can congratulations
Mazel Top, but I'm not. I can't stand you at all,
and I also can't stand some fans. We'll tell you
about it. Fox Sports Radio
