Speaker 1 (03:02):
I'll be getting back in town on Friday, so I
can't make that one, but I got to figure out
a way to get to that Saturday one. I'mna have to,
you know, do one of those. Hey, I don't normally
ask for these favorite type things.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I might have to do that.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
Yeah, it is that kind of game, kind of game.
Speaker 4 (03:16):

Speaker 5 (04:12):
But do you know, Wow, that's not it at all,
that's not at all.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Do that we don't ignore you so much so that
I'm saying your name right too.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
That is right, Wow, that's perfect. Yes, but thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Excited to hang out with the nineteen eighties you were
type it was you have a tight writer.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Or something might in my notes. I got a job to.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Do, yes, And of course Elijah who is our social
media Google, does a great job. And he's the one
who gets uh shekel shitty going. I'm feeling good. I'm
on a better streak now. I saw that one week
like his picks. How about that project I started?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
See you? Listen, Rob you do.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
I'm one of those people man, I can give credit
when it's due. I might, I might poke you know,
mess with you a lot, but listen you you were
on fire in about twenty four hours now between your
Shekel City and your prize picks. We'll see even get
the forty eight hours, but for twenty four hours you've
been on point.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
I was feeling good, no doubt about it.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
All Right, let's get this party started, and let's start
with football and the Kansas City Chiefs, Rob G. They
were making moves because we already know their offense is stinky.
Patrick Mahomes is worse than Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yes, we don't know this. You know this. We don't
know this, Rob G.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
There was a they made a trade, correct, Rob G's
gonna set it up for.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
They did make a big trade.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
It was probably all you were sleeping, rob, just to
be honest with you, because how they decided, let's drop
this one at six am Eastern time.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
But any event, yeah, that's really early. All Pro Pro Bowl.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Potentially washed wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is going from the
Tennessee Titans to the Kansas City Chiefs for a additional
twenty twenty five to fifth round pick that could become
a fourth rounder if the Chiefs number one make the
Super Bowl and number two. Hopkins plays at least sixty
percent of the snaps for the Chiefs, and in order
to facilitate the deal, the Titans also picked up two
(06:15):
and a half million of hopkins remaining eight million dollars salary,
which means they are literally paying him to play for
another team.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
Okay, and there it is. So if the minions who
are like.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
What bedamball, we gotta help, we need receiver help, he got.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
It, pump the brakes.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
As usual, the Kansas City Chiefs did the bare minimum.
I didn't even know DeAndre Hopkins was still in the league.
He only went in forty He's not even a starter anymore.
He gets like forty percent of the snaps.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
How did it really? That's who you go get.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Stop chopping that goodwill go to Sacks Fifth Avenue. That's
where the Jets went. That's what a Buffalo bill win.
And guess what, Kelvin, guess who's available? Cooper Cupp is available?
How about Cooper Cup? In Kansas City, they had Patrick
Mahomes sign a bogus deal telling them, hey, take less money,
(07:16):
we'll keep the band together. You have a chance to
win and win and win. And all they do now
is they bring back rejects and return items. That's what
they do. Hey, Kareem, huh, we didn't want you. We
sent you packing, Come on back.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Juju.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Hey, instead of getting a pack of Juju bees at
the movie theater, we'll get a receiver who we didn't want.
Speaker 5 (07:40):
That's what the Kansas City Chiefs do.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
And it's a disrespect to a talent like Patrick Mahomes.
He shouldn't have to play around with leftovers. Go and
buy him good groceries. Go to the store and get
him top shelf. Cooper cup is available, making it happen.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Stop being cheap.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
All of the Super Bowls you won, all the money
you've saved. What are they trying to do? I think
it's terrible. DeAndre Hopkins. I'm not mad at him. I'm
happy for him if he could go over there, whatever,
but that's not who they should go get when Cooper
Cupp is available.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Well, okay, so everything you just said and yelled at
me about I don't necessarily disagree with. However you brought
up going from Goodwill to sax fifth right now of
shopping at Macy's.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
It ain't nothing wrong with Macy's. Okay.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
You can go in there and get you a nice
Saturday night outfit at Macy's.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
You got a big event, you can go to Macy's.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
You got an interview, Daggan, you can go to Macy's
and come out okay, So I think you need you
need to pump the brakes a little bit because right
now what they're doing is getting some pieces at a time.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
I remember my mom used to always.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
Sacy's if he's not even starting anymore.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Because we all know he's better than not starting. Let's
stop there. Let's not act like DeAndre Hopkins. It's still
not one of the more skilled receivers in the league.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Let's not act.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Let's not act like current DeAndre Hopkins, who's not happy
in his current situation, is not still great.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
It's like this, you.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Want to bring up your favorite quarterback of all time,
Delote tom Brady.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Tom Brady got a Randy Moss.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Now I'm not saying rad DeAndre Hopkins Randy Moss, but
if you would have been going based off how Randy
Moss looked with the Oakland Raiders, you would have thought
he was washed.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
He had like forty.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
Five or seven all time grat Are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Dotria Hopkins not all time great.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
I'm gonna say, hey, Randy Moss, and you know what,
that was a team that was doing it with guys
working at Dunkin Donuts, and they finally went on that
big time receiving unyielded time.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
I said, Rob, go ahead and say what you gotta say.
Randy Moss is top one, two, three receivers of all time.
However you want to play them. I have no argument one,
two or three. So I'm not saying DeAndre Hopkins is that.
What I'm saying is I know he's better than his situation. Similarly,
how we know Amari Cooper is better than what was
going on with him Cleveland. DeAndre Hopkins automatically is elevated
(10:04):
once he goes and play with Andy Reid that offense.
And Patrick Mahomes, you know what I know it that
everybody listening knows that. So you're also assuming it's over
to your point. Maybe they're cooking right now trying to
get Cooper Cup. Maybe they're working some things out where
we look up in another days or two times and
they've gotten Now DeAndre Hopkins on one end and Cooper
Cup on another, and now we're having a whole entire
(10:26):
different conversation. And Patrick Mahomes now has some real things
to collect cook with. He has the filet vignon and
a lobster tail to cook with. So I hear you
and I'm in the actual agreement. I think the Kansas
City Chiefs, I told you this before, they've been able
to get away with the minimum. But obviously injuries have
hurt them this year. But because they keep winning, and
(10:48):
I think there's a part of them that's like, well, shoot,
we've had Tyreek Kill. We won't we not didn't have
Tyreek Hill.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
We won.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
We had all the butterfinger receivers last year we won.
So I do think they need a reminder that it's
okay to be good, it's okay to be great with defense.
You can still have some great pieces on the outside
for Patrick Mahomes, and I think DeAndre Hopkins is just
a step. I still think they're gonna pull off one
more thing. If if it's Cooper Cup or somebody else
outs out there that's a good veteran receiver that can
(11:16):
help them, I think it's on the way. And I
agree if they can go get Cooper Cup, that's scary.
Now you're scary. You got Cooper Cup and DeAndre Hopkins
with all the other pieces.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Given the way that.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
They have been pinching pennies, you really believe that. I'm
deep down seriously, I'm not telling you.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
The chiefs, the RAMS has said that they're willing to
take some of that money with Cooper Cup.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
And that's why I do believe.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Why wouldn't you just wait on Cooper Cup? Why wouldn't
you make that move?
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Well, because I don't think you can necessarily just wait.
Obviously there's so maybe you don't have the exact thing
they won back. Cooper Cup is a better receiver now
than DeAndre Hopkins. The Hopkins, So I don't think you
can just guarantee. Maybe they're working out what do you
need or you need a second round pick?
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Okay? Well what do you need? How much money? Okay?
And I think you have to work these things.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Word, DeAndre Hopkins might have just been sitting there an
easier thing that can happen.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
I can't listen.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
I told you in the club you can't miss a
for show thing, trying to get miss next thing. And
if for show thing in this situation was probably DeAndre Howkins.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
DeAndre Hopkins only fifteen receptions for one hundred and seventy
three yards and one touchdown in six games, and for
prospective forty nine Ers number three receiver Jennings Right, Juwan
Jennings had more yards in one game one hundred and
seventy five than Hopkins at his entire twenty twenty four year.
(12:34):
So you think he's Macy's. I think he's goodwill, and
I think the Chiefs need to.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Stop doing so cheap. You know he ain't good with
with Patrick Mahomes. I'll give you he's good will with
some other people. With Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and that offense,
he is absolutely not good will.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Stop it. Goodwill will be shocked.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
If they got this, they would think some Beverly Hills
movie star accidentally put some twelve hundred dollars leathern coat
in a Goodwill on accident.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
If they got this, all right, eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty
three sixty nine, real simple, Well, Hopkins moved the needle
for the Chiefs is this move? Oh my god? They
got the receiver. They're gonna be solid, They're on their way.
(13:19):
This is what Patrick Mahomes need. Are you in that
camp or you're in the camp where the Chiefs just
did another one. They looked for a wide receiver where
they needed to use a coupon instead of going out
and getting top grade a beef in Cooper Cup. It
is the odd couple on a worship Wednesday, Rob Parker
(13:40):
along with Kelvin Washington.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Right here on foxl Washing. That's right, stick and stay.
Speaker 4 (13:47):

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox taking your phone calls?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Who we got?
Speaker 5 (15:55):
Even Tyreek kill? Rob G didn't need but go on
Twitter and go hmm, like, what is that that might happen?
Speaker 7 (16:03):
Im?
Speaker 5 (16:04):
He was right there may come on?
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, all right, I mean it might happen, you know. Uh,
Tim Chili Chim in Atlanta. You're on the couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Tim? R?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
What's up? Tim?
Speaker 5 (16:18):
How are you?
Speaker 8 (16:19):
I'm blessed man, I'm blessed. First thing, let me say
this real quick. I want people's doppresenting that history was
made last night. It was manufactured. Let's say that first
of all, and then seg.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
The ball it was made? Say that again? What'd you say?
Speaker 8 (16:35):
I said, history wasn't made last night. It was manufactured.
Speaker 9 (16:39):
Right.
Speaker 8 (16:42):
So, but with the DeAndre Hopkins thing, I don't think
it made. I don't think they were trying to move
the needle. I think they were just trying to hold
the ship steady. And uh, I think DeAndre Hopkins is
that he made loosen up things for Travis Kelsey with
the steam wise and trying the thing that sheid Rice
would do kind of occupy like, you know, the middle
(17:04):
of the field and free that up and maybe free
some of the other guys up. I think they were
just trying to keep it steady. As far as Cooper Cup,
I don't know. I don't really trust him injury wise.
I know DeAndre Ops has had injury, but he seems
to be more durable than Cooper Cup. So I'm not
really big on the Cooper Cup thing. But I'm hoping
they'll still make one other uh thing to do. But
(17:26):
I'll be kind of your Calvin. I think they they're
saying that, you know, we've been managing it so this long.
As long as we can get someone just to stick
a glue guy in there, I think we can make
it home.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
You know, Yeah, no, little Macy's everything. Listen.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
You can work your way to Sacks fifth, but you
know Macy's be looking out when you need to hit
a little Express. Hee.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Rob don't know about Express, tim.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Express is a sneaky little go to spot where you
can come out live.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Nah, I'm going to blooming Dale's. I'm going to Sacks
Off Fifth. I'm gonna watch this.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
If me and you go to you go there and
I go to Express, I bet you they gonna still
say that boy look good.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
You know that Ron about me though. You know you
know that Rob Bruno in Brooklyn. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Bruno?
Speaker 9 (18:06):
Getlem They good evening? Hey, Man, First and foremost, I
gotta tell you, I love, love, love the new dynamics
you guys have.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
I thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (18:15):
I've listened forever. Man, you guys are fantastic.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
They thank you, Bruno.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
That means a lot because I know You've been listening
to the show for years.
Speaker 9 (18:23):
I've been listening for a long time. Dude, this is
this is better than ever and I just want to
tell you that, my heart. But here I want to go.
People forget about how good the hop is.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
He is telling Bruno, telling Bruno.
Speaker 9 (18:36):
You know what I'm saying. And here's the deal. He
hasn't anybody throwing on the ball. He's now, he's got
He's got the best quarterback in the game now.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
With six touchdowns and eight interceptions, Bruno, he's not the best.
Speaker 5 (18:49):
Right now, he's the thirtieth win quarterback.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
I'm just saying the way, Bruno, we know, keep going, Bruno,
the rest of us know what you're talking about.
Speaker 9 (18:56):
No, but where I'm going with this is the hop
has always been the cat with the hands. He always
you see, if you remember, he was always the dude
who could take it out of the air, inside out
and backwards. Now he's got a guy that can throw
it to him. Forget about being down with the Titans.
That was nothing. He's going to imagine waking up and
(19:17):
going through the Titans to being with the next Super
Bowl champions.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Come on now, Bruno, here's my only issue. Here's my issue, Bruno.
It ain't every day that receivers of these ilk are available. Okay,
So Davante Adams available, Amari Cooper available, all right, Cooper
Cup available. That's my point is that these guys are available.
(19:45):
And just let me say this, Amari Cooper's cap number
was only eight hundred thousand. The Chief didn't want to
give up a third round pick. That was the reason,
and they could have had a MARII Cooper. So that's
what I'm talking about about not getting having Patrick Mahomes
some of the stuff that was out there top shelf
that could really help the chiefs.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
That's all all right, sure good, But.
Speaker 9 (20:08):
I'll tell you I think you could have see t
hopstap up because he was always one of the best
staffer man.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, listen, I think you're gonna see a rejuvenated de Hopkins.
I think you're gonna be reminded of how good he is.
I'm not saying he's himself of seven years ago, but
he doesn't need to be with that team, and Patrick
Mahomes doesn't need him to be so. And Plus, like
I said, Rob, we'll see the moves might not be over.
They might be going on a shopping speed Express. Express
gets some nice deals back there. Sometimes they give you
fifty percent off. Clares you coming out looking fly at Express.
(20:36):
You need to know about that, all right. Trey Wingo
joining us in just the second, will continue the conversation
of what's happening around the NFL.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to

Speaker 1 (20:54):
We are joined now by Trey Wingo, host of the
pregame power up on DraftKings work.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Yeah, with the z on X.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
And Twitter whatever we're calling to make sure you hollow
at them there, give him a follow.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
What's going on, Trey?
Speaker 7 (21:08):
How are you guys? Always good to be with you?
Speaker 5 (21:10):
No doubt doing good.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
You can jump in on that last bit if you
heard we're talking about just to move DeAndre Hopkins. Now
with the Chiefs, Rob caught a good will I said, yeah,
it might not be Sacks fifth, but it is definitely
shopping at a good Macy's deal.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Right.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
But Trey, here's my only argument is you're trying to
win three in a row.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
You got all these big time receivers available.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
You know, Amari Cooper was there, Davante Adams there, Cooper
cups available, and DeAndre Hopkins is who they pick up
or bring back. Juju Smith Schu says what I'm saying,
why are the Chiefs so cheap?
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Because there's this thing to call the salary cap, and
come on, they have they have to work within the system. Look,
I love this pick for the Chiefs. I mean I
thought they might go after MARII Cooper, but I think
that DeAndre is going be a perfect fit for them.
But where they're going to use him is more important.
They're not going to put him outside because DeAndre Hopkins
(22:06):
at thirty two is not that guy anymore. He's going
to be a guy they're going to put in the
slot and that's going to open up things for Travis.
But they're undefeated with zero helping their wide receivers. They
just got a really good wide receiver. The Chiefs are
going to be fine.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Patrick Mahomes, let's talk about them. Are you blaming all
everything on the receivers? Nothing on Patrick Mahomes. So not
having the six and zero, but he has six touchdowns
in five touchedes it five and eight and eight.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
What do you see there?
Speaker 4 (22:38):
Last year he had a lot of interceptions, didn't play
well during the regular season. What am I watching? Because
he didn't look like the same quarterback to me, Well,
they have no.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Wide receivers and I mean, like, look they like we
said they there. Their lineup was supposed to be Hollywood Brown,
Rashie Rice and everybody else. Well, Hollywood Brown didn't make
it too Game one. Rashie Rice was blown out in
the LOS against the Chargers U and look, here's the thing.
Receive interceptions are rarely on this quarterback. There were five
(23:07):
interceptions in that game between the Niners and the and
the Chiefs, Mahomes through two and rock Party through three.
Only one of those was on the quarterback. Rock Perty's
first interception, he threw it right to Justin Read the safety.
That was just a terrible throw. And Mahomes first interception,
the ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage. That
that happens the second throw, the receiver fell down, Xavier
(23:30):
Worthy fell down, and the other two Brock interceptions by
Brock Party won the receiver because they didn't have Debo
and they and they didn't have Brandon Ayuk after he
went out with that horrible knee injuries gone for the year.
The receiver in the wrong route and okay, it was
just it was floated over his head and the last
one who was hit, his arm was hit by the
goal line.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
So four of Mahomes interceptions was she Rice was still
on in the line up. So so I'm yes, so
I hear you, and we can make all the excuses,
but right you know what I'm saying Trey is I'm
just let me just say this. He hasn't played. He
hasn't played as well as he in the last year
(24:10):
and a half, is what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (24:12):
Can you give me that or no, I'm still playing
gold I won't.
Speaker 7 (24:17):
And here's why. Last year the receiving group of the
Chiefs led the league in drops. Okay, they led the
league and drop they didn't something.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
So what the fourteen interceptions has to do with drops?
Come on, Trey, he also had fourteen picks.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Did that have to do with drops?
Speaker 7 (24:33):
Rob, You clearly have an agenda.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
It is an agenda. I'm just trying. I'm trying to get.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
I'm trying to tell you. What I'm trying to tell
you is you're looking at fantasy football and I'm talking
about reality.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
No, I'm asking you, what is a receiver dropping a ball?
And I get that receivers drop balls all the time.
What does that have to do to fourteen interceptions? That's
what I'm asking you.
Speaker 7 (24:56):
Very simple. Let's go back to Week one of last
year interceptions. Let's go back to Week one of last year.
Patri Mahomes hit Cadarius Tony in these things called the
hands yep and somehow they bounce off his hands into
the defense.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
I've been watching for since nineteen eighty seven the NFL.
And he's not the only quarterback. He's not the only
quarterback that that happens to this tray.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
We're moving on. This is what I've been dealing with.
He called them, Daniel Jones. This is what I'm dealing with.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Tray Tray.
Speaker 7 (25:26):
That's just stupid, Trey. But that's just stupid.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Yeah, he's been riding this too.
Speaker 7 (25:32):
You got you tell me the guy who's a three
time Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
In we're not talking about and to hold and let
me finish a sentence.
Speaker 7 (25:39):
And the two time regular season MVP suddenly doesn't know
how to play. I find that ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
That's not what I said, Trey. And so no, I
told you what I said.
Speaker 9 (25:50):
No I haven't.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
I haven't heard it.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
Tell you what.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
He's not playing well, and stop blaming other people. We
can't keep doing that. He hasn't played No, let me
talk now. He hasn't played well for a year and
a half and everybody. You can't keep blaming everybody. He
had fourteen interceptions last year.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
He has eight. He leads the league this year.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
That's all I'm talking about. This is not about lifetime achievement.
I'm not trying to strip down and take away his
MVPs or Super Bowls.
Speaker 7 (26:20):
That's all I asked you, Rob, Rob, let me say this.
In the Super Bowl last year, when the Chiefs were
down a touchdown, went down three points in overtime, and
they needed a touchdown to win. What happened.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
I'm not talking about lifetime m No, I'm not. That's
not what I'm talking about, Trey. I'm talking about right here,
right now.
Speaker 7 (26:41):
You just said fourteen interceptions last year.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
So I'm giving you some context to what I'm saying.
He's played poorly the last year and a half.
Speaker 7 (26:48):
You're giving me statistics. I'm giving you context.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Let me know. We can move on, ro when you're ready.
You're ready to move on.
Speaker 7 (26:58):
There are the line, there are lies, damn lines, and
statistics is as valid as it's ever been.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Yeah, Trey, again, you don't have to do it.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
You're not convincing me, and you're actually not even convincing
most of the folks listening. We all get it. We
already know. Patrick Mahomes makes the exact play when he
needs to, which is why they win the games. He
does it regularly.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Is he down right now? Yes?
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Is he missing a bunch of guys. Yes, Do any
of us expect him to be like this rest of
the year. Absolutely not. And there's no guy except maybe
Lamar Jackson. You'd rather have the ball on the last
league right now? Can you tell me that?
Speaker 9 (27:30):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (27:30):
Right now, it's either Jared Goff or Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Who is it? Make a pick?
Speaker 7 (27:36):
I would say probably, I would probably say Lamar Jackson
right now?
Speaker 2 (27:40):
All right, So I want to switch gears, Tray.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
I want to talk about another guy who might be's
creeping into that MVP category as he is. One of
the things that he's been known for his interceptions, and
he's actually has none this year. Talking about Josh Allen,
he has the Bill sitting at five and two, He
has twelve touchdowns, zero interceptions. Been playing pretty dog on
well this whole sea. Why are we talking about the
Bills that are nan they av Mari Cooper. Why are
(28:03):
we mentioning them? We've mentioned a bunch of other teams,
but they're kind of just sitting there quietly.
Speaker 7 (28:08):
Well, that's a great question, and the answer is because
it's not that we don't trust Josh Allen. I don't
trust the team like Sean McDermott is the same guy
who against the Texans a couple of weeks ago when
a Thai game, when he's pinned in his own five
yard line in a tie game, decided to throw the
ball three times to try and get you get something
going when you just needed to go to overtime. Josh
(28:29):
Allen in that game was nine of thirty. Let me
repeat that, Josh Allen in that game was nine completions
out of thirty attempts. Yet inside your own five yard
line with thirty seconds ago, you decided in a tie game,
you decided to throw it three times what you just
wanted to get to over there. They gave that game
to the Houston Texas. Now, let's go back to the
divisional game last year against Kansas City Chiefs. Right, Chiefs
(28:49):
won that game twenty seven to twenty four. In the
fourth quarter or excuse me the yeah, the fourth quarter,
after a fourth down inside their own thirty five yard line,
they went for a fake punt. That is a horrible decision.
That's nothing new with Josh Allen, has something to do
with Sean McDermott. And if Mikole Harmon doesn't fumble the
ball outside of the goald line. The Chiefs probably win
that game by twenty it's a ten points instead of
(29:10):
twenty seven twenty four. Now let's go back to twenty
twenty one, the divisional game against the Chiefs, one of
the greatest playoff games in the history of the NFL.
Josh Allen throws a touchdown pass to Gabe Davis to
give them the lead with thirteen seconds left, and instead
of doing the most obvious thing in the world coaching
the kick to run time off the clock, Sean McDermott
or the special teams coach, which Sean McDermott should overrule,
(29:33):
has him kick it into the end zone. So the
Chiefs have two plays to run thirteen seconds off the
clock to kick, tying Fielgel to send it in overtime.
That's why we're not talking about the Bills. It has
nothing to do with Josh Allen, who's played great longest
interception free streak of his career. I don't trust the
coaching staff to make the right moves and the right
decisions in critical moments.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Understand at where were you?
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Listens all we got about a minute Togo Caleb Williams,
where were you before he started playing in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Were you in his camp? I'm not in his camp.
And how has he progressed? I know they had to buy,
but how is he played number listen.
Speaker 7 (30:08):
I think he's come along great. The last three games
have been really good for him. He's in the best
situation of any number one overall quarterback I've ever seen.
He came into a situation where he had keenan Allen,
even though Keen has been injured. He has a great
tight end in Cole Comet. He has another wide receiver
in DJ Moore. They have a running back in DeAndre
DeAndre Swift. That is that is getting better. Caleb's progression
(30:29):
over the last three weeks has been really impressive. If
Caleb Williams doesn't keep going in this direction, it's on
Caleb Williams. It's not on the Bears.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Well, that's one thing I'll say.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
I'm a little worried because the Bears haven't shown us
they know how to develop a quarterback in forty five
fifty years.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
But he has been playing well. Trey Wingos, brother, thank
you so much for joining us.
Speaker 7 (30:48):
Hik you, Rob, I love you, Kelvin, I love you always.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah, there's nothing but love. We'll have you just pray
for me.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
That's all right, that's all right.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Hey, Christmassaw, I got six years of it, got another
sixer heah boy.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
I saw his hair going white every other week. I
saw it happening. All right, Trey, thank you, thank you, Trey.
All right, man, Yeah, don't do it next time. Why
don't y'all have a bromance call and just call him
her facetiming bront I don't want to be sitting here
and have to deal.
Speaker 9 (31:16):
With that all day.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
Rob g would you tell Calvin this is buckle up
if you come on as a guest.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
No, it ain't open to that too.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
It ain't gonna it ain't even that. But we get
a new one. We've been arguing about this for a
week and a half. Okay, goodness, I'm saying that.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
I'm still I don't care who comes on and you're
talking football.
Speaker 1 (31:35):

riding it.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
Two Shekel City for Rob Parkers Daily Dicks against the Scrap.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
And uh thanks to Bree. I mean she bought a
pizza from down the block.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
What's the name of that place, Bree Marlberry, Oh my god,
I mean they got New York on the block wrong.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
You were wrong, I thought, I said, I thought, yeah,
I'm like, I know, Rob, I said, that ain't no
Ralphs pizza right there.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Now, G's like, oh he brought it, No, he did.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
I knew he wouldn't bring in that good quality pizza.
Shout out to Brie because I knew it could have
been wrong. And I said to Brie, extra cheese.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
She got it with extra cheese, and my cheese was hot,
and my cheese was hot on this pizza for sure.
All right, man, all right sheco City last night one
in one. Uh, that means I'm four and one and
the last five bets here we go best better.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
Got the Sons minus four and a half.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
They're opening up the new Arena with the Clippers tonight,
the first real game, right, Yeah, so I got the
Sons minus four and a half. Also after Pacers minus
five and a half. They're in the true taking on
the Pistons. Pistons I expect, obviously to be better than
they were a year ago, but still I like the Pacers,
who had a really good year last year in the
(34:08):
playoffs and I got to Grizzlies minus two and a
half at the Jazz. So the Grizzlies minus two and
a half, the Pacers minus five and a half, and
the Suns minus four and a half. And remember, Calvin,
I'm not telling you who the bet on what you're
telling them, I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
Give me the money shot. That's right, let's do it.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Oh so let's talk. Yeah, that was a little yeah,
a little wild.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Let's talk a little NBA action, which we'll get back
to some of the NBA storylines later on. Joe Ellenbiid,
who has just been him maybe, and Kawhi Leonard have
been some of the more disappointing, mysterious what the heck
is going on guys in the NBA the last seven, eight,
nine years. Both are amazing, both Hall of Fame talents,
(34:55):
Both have had some great years. One is a champion,
proven champion on a couple of different teams. But you
always desired more, You wanted to see more. Well, now,
Joel Embiid, who's gonna miss missed preseason games. Now he's
gonna miss the first week or so of this season,
missing televised games. As you mentioned, some big games coming up,
and the league is starting to look into this. Now,
the league investigates all superstars who missed televised games. This
(35:19):
is per the norm, But a lot of people are
upset because they're saying, what is going on?
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Why isn't this team being more forthright? Why ain't this
team telling.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Us what is going on with this quote unquote knee
injury from Joel Embiid. To me, at this point, you
gotta just understand it is what it is. Joel Embiid
ain't playing but fifty five games. He's not gonna try
to do the sixty six that it is to get
an MVP or All NBA like kind of that new
little minimum floor number they set so guys can get awards.
(35:48):
If you buy a ticket to see Joel Embiid, whether
it be at home on the road.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
You know it's at buyer's risk. Buyer beware.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
At this point, he is played just about forty percent
of his games or a little bit more or whatever
in his career.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
You should just know this.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
At this point, it's it's they're trying to win a
championship and the only way they can do that is
resting Joelle, getting him as healthy as possible for the postseason,
and at this point in his career, that's just what
it's gonna be. So I don't don't buy a ticket
fully expecting to see him at any given venue, any
given night, any given stop, because just money that might
(36:24):
not be well spent because you might not get joellen
b that night. If he's coming to Charlotte, coming to Indianana,
coming to the Detroit Pistons, wherever you are, where you're
excited to see.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Him, totally ludicris because he already went out and talked
about not playing back to back.
Speaker 5 (36:38):
That's not what the league wants. That's not when people buy.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
I've got to you know what fans should sue the
NBA for false advertisement. I bet you when you bought
season tickets. Joellenbach's picture is on the advertisement. And the
idea that he's gonna just sit out games and not
be injured buyer beware, is that somebody could be hurt
and no situations in circumstances everybody buy into.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
But the idea that this guy and the NBA.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Should investigate and if it's true says where he says
I'm not playing back to backs all year, they should
find them every time, because it's bad business, bad for
fans who spend their hard earned dollars, bad for the
TV networks who have paid top dollar to get the
TV rights of the NBA, and the idea that you
(37:29):
could have a big national game and this guy is
the game.
Speaker 5 (37:32):
Is on ESPN.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
You think that people who has paid a billion dollars
for the TV rights are like, yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:39):
That's right, the Sixers trying to win a championship.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
Why don't everybody like not play and wait till the postseason,
give me my money back? And that's not right and
it's not fair. And the idea that you can discount
it and act like people don't have a right to
pay to go. When they buy Sixers tickets, they're expecting
to see when Joe LMBD is healthy that he's going
to play.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
That's that's it.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
But I would agree with you maybe four or five
years ago in this quote unquote process, but at this point, Rob,
you literally know what it is, which is crazy. Why
they would then go ahead and pair him up with
Paul George. I don't know who thought that plan was
gonna work. Now both of them are out. Paul George
isn't playing it doesn't seem to be maybe as severe
as Joel Embiid.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
But you paired them two together, you pair of two
broken us together.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
Saying that he's not gonna play back to back regardless
of his health is not good.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
That's what the league. Well, that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
It's not, it's not it is not barring his health.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
It's always it's permanently Joel Eenbiand's health. We know that
he's never fully healthy. That's a fact, and we know it.
So I just think it's a disappointment.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
And it's it's again for the fans of Philadelphia.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
They gotta be holding their breath every time he's on
the court, and anybody else At this point, I'm disappointed
in you. If you bought tickets thinking you're gonna see
Joel Ebie, you better go buy a Anthony Edwards ticket.
Somebody who wants to play any two and can play
the two. Don't go buy Joel and Be tickets. You better,
that's a hope.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
Buy season tickets at all you're in Philadelphia. Don't buy
any tickets because he's never gonna play.
Speaker 5 (39:07):
Is that what you're saying?
Speaker 2 (39:09):
You know what I'm saying, And that's not everybody knows
that more. Fox Sports Radio
