Speaker 1 (00:31):
Our number two on a TV theme song Thursday and
Hollywood Halloween Halloween.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I don say, Holliday, it is Hollywood. We are Bylly Way.
How long you been in La.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Eight full years? Man?
Speaker 4 (00:46):
So I got a little on you my five. You're
from here, rob g and Alex. You know, I don't.
I didn't grow up celebrating Halloween like after like six, seven,
eight years old, whatever it was.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Mom said no more.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Said all right, whatever, but I'll I remember coming out
here in my first Halloween and I didn't know my
buddy's like, yo, pull up, We'll be at the w whateverever.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Oh my gosh, just Hollywood.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Take Halloween seriously, like you, if you're not from here
and you come out here, maybe your friend says, come
celebrate with us. It is real in the field out
here in LA. When it comes to Halloween. I was reminded.
I was actually not reminded because I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I learned.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
I learnt that day Hollywood was crimeing people all over stuff,
things that you didn't think you would see.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Walking the street. You saw. It was crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
So yeah, if you want to party and get wild
on Halloween, Hollywood is place to be with that.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
No doubt.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
All right, Coming up in twenty eight minutes, Jerry Harriston,
Junior World Series Chair, My guys, Spectrum Sportsnet LA will
be joining us.
Speaker 2 (01:42):

Speaker 1 (02:00):
The Way tire buying should be also later on in
the hour, it's shop talk. But first, how about some
Weis's advice with Morton Weiss.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
We all need a little advice, so why not take
it from a true professional.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
This guy is good.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Here's advice.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
It is Weis's advice featuring fox Board Radio Weekend host Herd, producer,
fox Board Radio Update anchor, and allegedly Rob Parker's step nephew,
mart Weiss.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Wow, what up, bro, that's that's Vinnie Goodwill, my ex nephew.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
I was married to his cousin all like for real.
Yeah yeah, so that's why it's my ex cousin. My
ex nephew is what I call him. So Martin can't
be a step nephew. Alright, And it's still said alleged too,
so we're not like sure there you go?
Speaker 6 (02:57):
What up, Martin?
Speaker 7 (03:00):
Now that's Vince.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, yes, I know him as Vinnie.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah, now he is, said, you're right, I had to
voice this thing for Serious NBA series Sex where he
does all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Uh, and he was Vince was a vine Vince. I
don't know. You might be right, Mark, he might have
been Vince, miss mister Vince.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Now, well, Rob also called Steven A Smith Steve, you
know his name brand at this point, but.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
The only name I've ever called him, you know, I like, like, right,
that's your man, right, So I just it's not that
Stephen A wasn't his name? Has he ever fronted on
you though? Has he ever been like, No, I need
you to call me, Steven Ain't. No, I'm just making
sure never All.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Right, Well, we call Martin Weis's money bags because he
got that White's advice. I can make money on this
football weekend, and he has four pigs to help you
buy a boat by Thanksgiving. Okay, not a cheap boat,
like a mini yacht like you and Jerry Jones can
hang out together.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Jerry's as many. But we got you though.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
All Right, here we go game number one of Wie's
advice and Martin Weiss Jets Texans Thursday night four, bucking
off about ten minutes, Mar's taking the under on the
total of forty three.
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Mar explain yourself, because none of this makes any sense.
The Jets are two and six and objectively a bad
football team. I've been singing like the warnings of the
Houston Texans, and all they keep doing is winning games to.
Speaker 7 (04:17):
Be six and two.
Speaker 8 (04:18):
Why the Jets favorite in this game, I don't know,
but I'm not trying to find out. What I do know,
Deco Collins is out for this game. Stefon Diggs out
for his dame and the rest of the season. Thank
dall is really Houston's number one receiving option that he
gave Stroud doesn't look like the same guy without all
his weapons, and Aaron Rodgers looks like Aaron Rodgers. I
(04:38):
don't know how much Kanye, Pevenor and Walter you can
break the six whatever's going on, But I think that's
father time. And I watched enough Rocket movies to go
to phrase five the time it's undeceated, So I just
think we're not going to see a lot of points
score here. They give me under forty three, that's.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Texts under forty three. That's a tough one. I'm gonna
go I'm gonna go over. I think Aaron Rodgers, I
think they get some offense going. They're gonna feature Adams more.
I think they finally get something going and look decent
and and give Jets trans false hold.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
They had twenty two last year last week. I think
they go.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Yeah, I think they give they give Jets fans some falsehop.
But I don't ever like the fact that I'm giving
this a man who eats his boggers. So I'm mad
I'm doing this. I'm a little disappointed myself, but I'm over.
I can't believe I'm doing it.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with the over sway. It's never
mind roped Jim going under whatever. I just think.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I get it that the Texans are missing some wide receivers,
some big time wide receivers. But I still think the
Jets defense isn't as good as we thought it was true.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
That's that's one thing.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
They give up twenty five points to the Patriots, and
that was with no turnovers. The Patriots got no turnovers
from the Jets and still won that game and scored.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Twenty five points.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
So I'm gonna go with the over all rre we
go pick number two.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
This one's a doozy because apparently the only person buying
into Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks is Martin Wise.
He's got the Seattle Seahawks plus one coming up on
Sunday when they take on, uh.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
The Rams.
Speaker 5 (06:15):
That's right, Well, maybe it's not too bad. It's booking
the cool when you left practice today. But Martin, go
ahead and tell us why so to.
Speaker 8 (06:20):
Your point, who and who had just left practice today?
That Rams offense was dynamic with all three of them.
If you just have Cooper Cup and Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 7 (06:29):
That's mission one, and I need all three of.
Speaker 8 (06:32):
Them if I'm going to back the Rams. I'm not
buying into this Rams height as recently.
Speaker 7 (06:37):
That we see.
Speaker 8 (06:37):
Look, I get two and oh in the last two,
I get on a little hot street and the Seahawks
have bost four of their last five. But this is
all division's historically. Wait out right now that this is
being a one point line. This is also just about
officially as the Jets of the Texas line.
Speaker 7 (06:56):
But I think these two teams are closer.
Speaker 8 (06:59):
Seahawks also d Best calf back and Abraham Lucas. Fact, Frank, I'm.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
Gonna go Rams, but I don't disagree with much of
what Martin just said. I don't think the Rams are
world beaters, but I think they can find a way
to win, and maybe win by a field goal. Thus,
uh you know, beating the spread here, but uh give me,
give me yeah, and longest pook, I mean, I'm hoping
he's just a little hobbled.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
He'll be okay and it's not too severe.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
But I think Sean McVay usually he can get stuff
going in the right direction and run off a few
games in a row.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
So I'm going with the Rams.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah, I'm not a Rams believe I'm a RAMS basher.
I mean, did I say that?
Speaker 2 (07:35):
You didn't say that wow to nationally?
Speaker 1 (07:38):
No?
Speaker 2 (07:38):
No, No, I'm gonna just uh the Rams always do this.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Last year, right, they won a couple of games, did
they wind up making a run and they actually made
the playoffs and they got off to a bad start.
I just don't think his team is as good a
couple of wins. I'm with Martin here. It's like basically
a pick him game. Right at one point, I'm gonna
take Seattle in this game.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Geno Smith, he can't believe you just picked him. Hey,
I called him. You know Gino's pizza the day and
the year that he had the comeback player of the year.
Now he's listen. He rebounded bounced last three seasons in
his career, for sure.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
All Right game game number three of Wie's advice Again,
Martin White says, if you parlay these picks and you
get any of them wrong, he will cover your bet.
Confident he is so he can't be doing tools gonna
pay for your bet out of his own pocket. Allegedly,
all Right bills minus six at home against TUA last
time we saw these teams unfortunate. Obviously, two got knocked unconscious,
(08:32):
had a miss about a month and a half. I'm
assuming Martin's not expecting that to happen, but he's expecting
a Buffalo blowouts.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Tell's why.
Speaker 8 (08:40):
I mean, honestly, I'm not expecting it not to happen either,
like it very well could happen. It's on the table.
This Buffalo defense is very physical, and this Buffalo defensive
is gonna get home. Last week against the Cardinals, one
of the worst pass rushers in the NFL, Too looks okay,
and Bull looked good. But the fact remains this Miami,
(09:00):
if that's just a two got kocked out, they also
knocked out two other quarterbacks along the way right, Tyler
and Tyler Huntley. Both of them couldn't play tomorrow if
they were asked. Secondly, Miami can't stop the run. Buffalo's
gonna turn the ball. Hand the ball right to James Cook,
hand the ball left to James Cook. Had the ball
we got the middle of the James Cook and when
it gets to the ball behind, Josh All was going
(09:22):
to score a touchdown, infuriating all James Cooks, fantasy others
this is going to beat Buffalo Minu shicks. I don't look,
Miami is what we got to stop with. I don't
understand where. It's like they got tour backs and all
of a sudden that was just like Superman landed and
now everything was fine. Like two was a good quarterback
(09:42):
who is not a great quarterback. And this Miami team
is a not a bad team. It is a terrible
team at all the metrics. And you look at their
roster and you look at their record, they're not good.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Well, they weren't good when they lost their quarterback, but
before that they made the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Last year, they scored seventy points. Last year, he was
in the top five and like the top five quarterback passing.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
Red numbers, right, yeah, last year, go ahead, Well to
your point, he did, like you, Martin, you mentioned it.
He looked pretty good last week and if that was
his first week back, then it's kind of like, all right,
maybe he can get something going. And Buffalo has had
a couple of games where you're like, all right, like
I know, Lamar Jackson and Raids were good. They shouldn't
demolish you like that. Uh So six and six is
a lot of points. So I think Tua may lose,
(10:28):
but I don't know if he's losing by six. So
I'm gonna take the Dolphins. They might get that. Dolphense
going even more. Second game back, got some things going.
It's the divisional game. So yeah, give me the Dolphins
with this. I'm not saying they're winning, but I six
is a lot.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, I'm with you. I like that. I'll take the
six points. They'll do a cover. I'm with you. They'll
probably lose it right to Buffalo at that. And I
mean not just to him.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
You know he's accurate, yes, and and you know, like
all those weapons and receivers that they had that when dormant,
when he was gone, he did his value when he
was out because they weren't able to get anything going.
And now why I am college team, right, no doubt?
All all right, last one White's advice will run through
it quickly. Martin wise got the Broncos and boon Knicks
(11:12):
plus eight and a half in Baltimore to take on
what many considered to be the best.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Team in the AFC. Yes, even better than the Chiefs. Martin,
tell us, why you're betting on bone Nicks and Champagne
here and.
Speaker 8 (11:24):
The people say the Ravens were better than the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
They were. It's a lion's not best team.
Speaker 8 (11:31):
Oh my goodness. All right, I don't have time to
address that. We only have a few minutes. But this
is what's going to happen. First of all, this is
why the Ravens are better than the Chiefs. But secondly,
the Ravens do not deserve to be eight and a
half point favorites over anybody in the NFL. The Ravens
are a team that lost to both the Cleveland Brown
(11:52):
and the Vegas Raiders. You know, those two teams haven't common.
They are competing to the number one fifth in the
NFL NFL Draft next year. They both are hoping for
this year. Doors standers, shoot state all right, ext the
team Raves is bolling. Find you ain't a half?
Speaker 7 (12:08):
Ain't a half of the Ramies?
Speaker 5 (12:10):
All right?
Speaker 8 (12:11):
Remember against the Dallas Cowboys had a two point two
score leads to the fourth quarter bo cow Boys caught
back up. Same thing with this Raby team. The idea
of their favorite right more than a touchdown is laughable,
especially in the Broncos team, which I know it was
Carolina just home forty points and with four to the
last five and Seewan Payton as an offer to play.
(12:33):
Caller is not going to allow bo Nicks to lose
him this game by more than the two scores.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
All right, Well, if it's me, I'm going Baltimore. I
think they get right. And you're right, they have these
brain far as where they you know, all of a
sudden win every game. People kill me with this, like
Thisever game. They're gonna right the ship man when they do.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
The defense hasn't played well and they're gonna bounce back.
They're due for a bounce back game.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
And even if the defense isn't spectacle, I just think
the offense alone is gonna get it going again. Is
gonna lamar Derek Henry's gonna go up for a buck,
twenty five bucks, fifty, They'll get it right. Eight is
a lot, Martin didn't watch that Buffalo game, right, Yeah,
eight is a lot. But give me give me Baltimore.
I think they get the right. This show to Buffalo.
I mean, uh, Baltimore wins by ten easily.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
This will be up. This will be an easy win
right here, by ten points at least.
Speaker 8 (13:23):
You know what gee, we talked to me and you
talking about this offline three and oh on my last
Thursday night pick. This has been so acrimonious of a pick. Second,
I need to track, not necessarily but against Kelvin. Lvin
is still like, I understand where you're coming from. I
just disagree. But Rob Parker's incredulousness at the ideas at
(13:46):
some of these picks needs to be judged and recorded
down the line.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Yeah, and Rob Parker's never promised me a boat with
his pick. All right, I'm going with Martin all day.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
All right, brother, we appreciate you. We'll see we see. Yeah,
I mean, do we try ours? We got to see
how we do on these we do? All right, Let's
see how we do. If if it's bad, Rob Jesus,
don't even mention it, just move on. And if it's great,
mention it.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Just let us know. Martin Weiss, make sure you follow
him as well.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Hit him up Martin Wish on Saturday in VJ. So
you say that to everybody, if you don't miss it,
just say that to everybody everybody, all right, Martin Martin, Hey,
what you got to say about Dave Roberts. What do
you mean what you got to say about him. He's
(14:31):
the black Bobby Cox. Yeah, you need to explain yourself.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
We'll do that.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
It is Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington, The Odd Couple, Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Fox Sports Radio is a museum. What else when people
come to see what they do, they really are a squeak.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
The Adam family.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Somehow, one hundred and ninety two years later, my daughters
know this. They're like, I'm like, what, Yeah, I have
no idea.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
I think you know what. Wednesday?
Speaker 4 (15:16):
I think the Wednesday the girl has a show. And
I think that bounced back and made all the kids
aware of it. Uh, The I Couple, Rob Parker kelvin
Washington and clearly as you see a TV theme song Thursday.
But I see what you're doing there, Alex, because it
is Halloween. That's very nice some Halloween themes. So does
that mean the monsters maybe tonight?
Speaker 8 (15:33):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (15:34):
Well, way to ruin the next one. Oh I'm sorry,
see there, Why don't you just be the Dodgers and
throw away.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Everything come on and it leads us to the conversation
we're getting ready to have coming to you live from
the tire rack. Dot Com studios are big thanks to
Rapid Radios, the official communication device of Fox Sports Radio.

(16:00):

go to rapid Radios dot com now four up to
sixty percent off free shipping, and here comes the mandatory
obligatory disrespect.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
I'm Dave Roberts disrespect that not just you, everybody else.
I'm putting context to it.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Let me tell you who won yesterday is the greatest
manager of all.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Can we stop with that? Bruce Bochie? First of all,
who's who's going on his name number? But Bruce Bochie
went to five World Series with three different teams.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Okay, I'm gonna put him at the top of the list,
and I'll talking about Casey Stangle and the Yankees. I'm
talking about modern era I'm with. Okay, So he won
three with the Giants. He won one with the Rangers,
the organization that had never won, and he took the
Padres to the World Series that lost to that great
nineteen ninety nine Yankees team. So when you look at
his career, that is he's maximized it. He's won in
(16:54):
other places. When you only win one place, sometimes you
can look and go, well, you know me, when you
move around and you start to win on other places,
it talks about.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
You hold up pumped breaks. I can't win another places
if I ain't been there yet. He's only been a
Dodger manager, wasn't he was a manager of the Padres. Well, okay,
right now he's what eight of nine division titles, two
World Series titles, and everybody wanted to hate on the
twenty twenty but whatever, if you want to hate on it,
(17:26):
that's fire. Everybody had the same chances to win. They won,
They won the championship, and he's gone to more World Series.
He didn't win them, got cheated out of one, but
that story for another day. So one in at this rate,
still a very young person in this profession. I mean
you got guys coach managing to their you know, seventies.
He still can go somewhere else or he can still
(17:47):
win more with the Dodgers. He believes they're in a
dynasty right now, they're entering their dynasty era. In the
words of Tyreez, what more do you want from me? Like,
I mean, nobody's saying he has to be the greatest
manager of the modern era, But.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
What more than you want? I've won two World Series,
I've been the multiplex. They won fourteen out of fifteen divisions?
So can I get there?
Speaker 8 (18:12):
I been?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
No, But I'm just trying to say so there has been.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
That's why I'm saying he's the black Bobby Cox, except
for he's won a second one. This is what was
big for him. Bobby Cox only won one. And I
thought Bobby Cox, with the talent that he had, uh,
you had three Hall of Fame pictures in the s
crazy rotation that is incredible, and that they only came
(18:36):
away with one. And people were feeling like the Dodgers
were in that circumstance as well because they weren't winning.
They were winning divisions the last two years they got
knocked out in the first round. That's why this was huge.
Would get Would you give me that for Dave Roberts
because they lost to the Padres.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
I don't know if he would still be the manager
next year. I'm deaf. Seriously, I'm gonna like quote my
own say here.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
I tweeted something that essentially goes to what you're saying,
that this was the Dodgers exercising some demons, right, because
people will say, hey, that twenty twenty then count shortened season, this,
that and the other. It was COVID, so it really
wasn't a count they did that. They'll say, hey, you know, well,
you couldn't beat this team. You couldn't be that when
they beat the Padres, who were their upstart rivals, the
(19:21):
young team, and then they beat the Yankees, who have
been historically their rival, although not in the modern you know,
last forty years, and then more importantly to the point
Dave Roberts has get been scolded. He wins, well, it's
only it's the GMS. You know, they're setting everything up
to set the line. It's the team. It's it's easy.
We got to call her earlier. It's the Dodgers are
supposed to win it.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
It's not enough. He loses. It's his fault.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
He should have took Kershaw out earlier. Should have kept
this picture. Shouldn't have put Kershaw in, should have put Kershew.
So it's always something I want to give the man
his flowers. Can he get a bouquet? Can he get
a bouquet? Can he get at least he got to
he's getting credit? What are you edg the American Express card?
What do you want from him? No, he won the champion,
he won the World Series. And I just said that
(20:04):
he deserves credit, all right because because he because of
the last couple.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Of years, it wasn't pretty and he deserved blame because
we have to look at it this way.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
And this is what I don't like.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Well, he not bitching, well he did not striking out. Well,
if that's the case, then he's not hitting home runs
and he's not.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
What I'm saying. I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
I'm gonna give you credit when Freddie Fraeman it's a
walk off Grand Slam. Then when Freddie Freeman strikes out
on the bottom of the ninth you lose the game
that you should have won, then you're gonna get some
blame for that as well.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
That's quarterbable. That's all right.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Everything is great. This quarterbacks great. But when his team
doesn't win, he doesn't get to blame uh somebody else.
We can have this conversation with Jay Harriston Junior of course,

My voice is at sixty percent. If it went game six,
I probably would have been a game time decision with
my voice, but luckily it did not get that far.
Dodgers epic comeback last night.
Speaker 8 (21:44):
Listen.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
It was led by the Yankee mistakes, but it was
up to the dodge to capitalize on those mistakes. They
did so, and they're now World Series champs.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, the meltdown in that ending, I'd call it the final,
the fatal fifth.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
And you played for the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
You won a World Series with the Yankees in two
thousand and nine, the last time they won one. But
I've never seen anything. Aaron Judge hadn't had an era
all year. I mean seriously, like he is not a
bad outfield though. That was shocking. How shocked were you
when he dropped that?
Speaker 7 (22:13):
I was stunned you mentioned it, Rob. He has never
had an air, really, he's never had an air playing
center field. That was his first air ever playing center field. Crazy, Yeah,
that's crazy. He's very talented, obviously, he's a legend. He'll
be a Hall of Famer. But what happened was he
took his eye off the ball.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Yeah, talked about that.
Speaker 7 (22:32):
Take your eye off the ball, especially in cold conditions,
to some wind, it could could have been a factor.
When you take your eye off the ball, you take
it for granted. Those things can happen, and then the
very next play, vopee try to make something happen and
really kick Aaron Nanis did an incredible job of base running,
making that throw a lot more difficult. He got into
(22:53):
the throwing lane vote threw it away. And then the
last thing, Verrek Cole not covering first base is all
on Garrett Cole. The picture, every picture first day of
spring training will tell you. Pfps ball hit to the
right side. You go and run hard to the bag
one hundred percent of the time, and then you see
the first baseman flash his hands saying I got it.
(23:17):
That's when you shut it down. Derrick Cole assumed that
he was going to take himself. That ball had you know,
so much English on it, because there was a Q
shot the.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Hard hit ball. I was surprised.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
I'll say this that Rizzle didn't charge that ball. Mookie's running.
I like, Jerry, how do you play.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Back on that?
Speaker 7 (23:36):
Like here's here's you deal. So so listen, when the
ball's queued like that, it has funny English on it.
And if you see Rizzo start to go after that ball,
it goes to his right and it took him towards
second base. Listen, I've tried to fill Q shots from
at third base and they take funny. How So if
you charge it, it may spin and you'll absolutely miss it.
(23:59):
So he had to make sure listen, it's not on Orizzo,
it was on your coal. You have to be able
to help out your face first basement there it didn't happen.
And once we scored that run, Freddy Friedman comes up
clutch a single and in taskar and Nana is able
to have that two run double two tie of the game.
You you felt I wasn't there, but you could fell
(24:20):
through this through the TV screen, the momentum shift. I've
been in the Bronx, I've been there. I've been when
that on that nine team, when that place was absolutely rocking.
And the one thing I will say about our team
in nine, it was full of stars, but we made
sure that we took care of the fundamentals. And you
got to be able to do so. You've got to
(24:41):
be able to never give an extra a team extra outs.
Nankes gave the Dodgers six extra outs in the inning
and have costing them the World Series.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
No doubt is Jerry Harrison Junior World Series Champa.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
As you heard him say Spectrum Sports at La Jerry,
you know you just I get to sit next to
you guys. You know mar Dontrell or on all the guys,
and I always hear you all talk about the fundamentals
all the time, quietly behind the scenes. Mentioned in that,
But I want to go to somebody who you just mentioned,
Freddie Freeman. I call him Freddie Fall right now because
at the Fall, because I can't call him mister October.
(25:13):
We have declared that we can't do that. Mister Freddy
Fall is what I nicknamed him. Now, please talk about
the tremendous year. He had the health scare with his son,
He comes back, then he's got the ankle injury, he
fights through that. He's had big moments all the way
up leading to the World Series. Then he has huge
moments in the World Series. Have you seen anything like this?
(25:33):
And just as you know him personally, what was this
year like for him?
Speaker 7 (25:37):
Well, you know, Freddy I've known for years. When he
first broke in the league, I was still playing. We
have the same agents. He's always had that great respect
from other players because the way he carries himself, the
way he plays the game. He really had that old
school approach. But what he went through this year, I
wouldn't wish soar out anybody, especially what had happened with
(25:59):
his son. I got a chance to talk to him
briefly in the clubhouse, and this was in September, and
he was mentally, emotionally, physically drained. He didn't get much
sleep rightfully, so just worried about his son, making sure
he was there for his family and his son. And
he was a guy that was just spent. Then compound
that he has that broken finger, okay, that he played through.
(26:21):
Then he injures his ankle in the NLDS. He's hurt
trying to get past, you know, get through the NLCS,
playing on the hurt ankle, and people don't know if
it just was reported today. I knew about this when
it happened.
Speaker 8 (26:37):
He had a.
Speaker 7 (26:37):
Fractured rib cartilage in his rib. That was the most painful.
We talked about the ankle. It wasn't really the ankle.
It was his rip, his side and for him to
gut it out, not only cut it out and be
in the line of just be a presence, which is
key for our lineup. He goes out and arguably he
had the best World Series of any offensive hitter in
(26:59):
the history of World Series. Mister October had that three
homer game for the Yankees to beat the Dodgers back
in the day. Epic Misster October epic a World Series performer,
but you can make a case this was the best
offensive performance by a player in Major League history in
the World Series, and Freddie Freeman carried us offensively, not
(27:20):
just with the home runs, but that those clutch hits.
Twelve RBIs in a World Series, which is insane. I'm
just so happy for him. I'm proud of him, and
I'm so happy for his family. His family has been
through so much in their whole lives, not just this year,
and they deserve it, and the whole family deserves and
they're great people, great individuals, and I'm so happy that
(27:42):
he's part of this Dodger family and he's the perfect
representation of what the Dodgers are all about.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
All right, last thing, we're crunched tom Oltani with the shoulder. Obviously,
I mean, he wasn't swinging great even before that, but
it was a shame that the shoulder thing happened, and
then we didn't really get to see the best of show.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Hey in the call.
Speaker 7 (28:06):
Class well, it was a shame and he listen, regular season,
he would have been on the IL probably for a month,
but he wanted to be out there. He wanted to
be a presence for his team. He really gained the
respect of his teammates being out there, just being in
the lineup. And I'll tell you what, he needs more
opportunities to show what he can do in the World Series.
(28:28):
I know he's going to be itching to do so.
After all the celebrations we get in the offseason, he's
going to make sure he's focused. Oh, by the way,
after the fifty seasons, he's going to take them ound
day one right of the season. Next year as a
defending World Series champion in Japan, it's going to be
epic and the Dodgers will try to repeat as champions.
(28:51):
It feels so good to say that.
Speaker 4 (28:53):
Yeah, they're going to man hopefully with all the pitchers
that they've been out with the injury.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Good luck.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
The last National League team to repeat? Do you know, Jerry,
what's the last National League team to repeat in the
World Series?
Speaker 7 (29:04):
But you know what, rop it doesn't matter. We're due.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
I know. I'm just asking. I'm just asking, do you
know what it is? Calvin?
Speaker 7 (29:09):
I don't know. I know the last Major league team
to repeat it was it was.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
The Yankees ninety nine and two thousand, the last National League,
the Big Red Machine in nineteen seventy six and seventy
five and seventy six.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Can you believe that? Well, that means, as Jerry said,
we're due. No, I'm just saying that's incredible. That would
be that LOI. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (29:30):
But here's the thing. Here's the challenge for this soccer team.
They need to go on that World Series run like
the Big Men Red Machine and like those late nineties
early two thousand Yankees. That's their goal. Go out there
and run run off numerous amount of championships.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Well that's the goal. Man. We'll see if it happens. Brother,
Thank you so much. We appreciate you anytime.
Speaker 7 (29:51):
Guys.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
Hey, Shot Talk will be next, and of course it's Halloween,
so it'll be Halloween themes. Stick around for that. Rob

Which one did you say? This was the Monsters? Okay? Yes, uh,
just a little TV trivia. Okay, you're the other couple.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
The first husband and wife to appear in the bed
together on a TV show, really Herman and Lily Munster.
So it was like some because it was on that
they weren't even real people. But if you don't like
Lucy Owners, yeah, Dick van Dyk is.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
Crazy because like, okay, there, I mean, obviously it doesn't matter,
but they were married. Historically all these shows it's like,
you can't even show married people in the same bed,
like a what are we doing here?
Speaker 2 (30:49):
All right?
Speaker 4 (30:49):
We got shopped even though we knew some crazy, wild
stuff going on behind Hollywood. But that's story for another day.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Ain't nobody you were talking about? Whoever whatever whatever you
want to in a box up?
Speaker 6 (31:21):
Why you know it's shop talking, that's right.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
It is shop Talk, the segment that guarantees to be
more exciting than what you're watching on Thursday night.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
For me, h, you ain't lying about that, man, Come
on Martin right now talking about saying Manuel's right.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Under like a mug.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
All right again, it is Halloween, guys, and if you're
listening to this show driving around, going to a Halloween party,
or about to take your kids out to get some candy,
we all know this is the time of the year
to watch your favorite scary movie, either because you just
like it and you find it interesting, or it scares
you so much that you can't look away. Rob Parker,
(31:58):
you've been around as the Stone Age. What is your
favorite or the scariest horror movie you've ever seen?
Speaker 2 (32:08):
You know what's funny. I was gonna say The Exorcists. Yeah,
I mean that's just that's a goat one, that's a class.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Like, that's a class I remembered as a kid, and
how much it scared me. I would say the Exorcists. Yeah,
I don't think most people would be upset about that,
So I didn't.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
You know, there's like a million different genres of films,
so like horror and scary were never my bag, really,
but I will tell you a media yeah, it's just
never my bad. There's actually just coming. But I'm gonna
tell you one that I was like, ah, you know,
that's not my thing, and my wife is not really
hurt thing either, like I know, but you gotta see it.
It's like kind of weird and crazy and bad and horrible,
but somehow it's good. The first saw was like, this
(32:49):
is horrible. They're literally cutting people and breaking this and
splitting people open. But for some reason it's kind of
compelling and it kind of makes you watch that. Oh
my god, Rob j Am I wrong, just like you
watch that.
Speaker 6 (33:01):
It's a really good movie.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
It's really the first one.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
And just like most things, they getting crazy and crazy
and crazy. But that very first saw, I'm not gonna lie,
and yes, bones are breaking and stuff was popping out.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
But the one I never saw the movie, but it
used to play in the barbershop that I own in Detroit,
so you know, I'm there one day and I see
a little bit of it, but I would never watch
the whole you know, watch the movie and I think
he's the guy's chained to a heater or something in
the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
Yeah, so all I'm off in order. Like I just
was like, okay, you don't like blood, You're not a
blood gus cind. I mean I'm not really either, but
you know you really I.
Speaker 6 (33:39):
Saw the Gremlins on in the TVs, Like, turn that off.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
I'm not gonna lie. It was just too much blood.
Get it out of here to see that. Okay, one
more real quick.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
My favorite this was a you know they got movies
that are called shorts. This one was only like twelve seconds,
but it was like an Instagram short or somebody. It
was Rod Parker jumping in my lap because a bat
was line in our studios here.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
That was what I mean. Remember that, right, Rob, you
weren't here. It was a bat was here. Yeah, he
was here.
Speaker 8 (34:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
I saw you guys both run out of the studio.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
Yeah, okay, I did, Bro. I can't even try to front. Yeah,
but at least I ran cool though, didn't I. I
had a little little little swag in my run, like
I'm really too worried. He's like a bad whatever. I'm
just running cause I gotta get home. It was like,
what about you?
Speaker 6 (34:22):
That's your shuffle?
Speaker 5 (34:23):
I'll tell you what, it's not my favorite, and looking
back on it, it's not that scary. But the movie
that gave me nightmares for like a decade was Child's Play.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
Oh wow, yeah, looking back at it, those were goofy.
It was super good watching it now, like this movie
is terrible. But when you're five years old and your
dad's like this how you become a man?
Speaker 6 (34:41):
It's scary. He made you watch that, yes he did?
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Oh man.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
And and you know, we had a bunch of obviously
you know, action figures and dolls house at that age.
So the rest of my whatever up until I was ten,
I imagine they were all gonna come to life and
attack me at some point.
Speaker 6 (34:57):
So yeah, we're not good.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Yeah a where are you on me? So I'll partlay
on that.
Speaker 9 (35:01):
When I was seven years old, I went to a
sleepover party and watched the Leprechaun.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
Oh yeah, remember that one.
Speaker 9 (35:07):
Let me tell you, I've never been so scared of
just Saint Patrick's Day or Leprechauns in my life. That
spooked me forever. Then they had to go make like
like a bunch of other ones Leprecaun in space like yeah, yeah,
I know that's gotta be right. Remember remember Tales from
the Hood instead of Tells from the Crib. Yeah, but
I'll tell you this the one that still gets me
to this day. It's a short film, and I was like,
(35:28):
I got really applable to like watching these horror movies
because I just wanted to see the creativeness, the cinematography
and et cetera. I literally just looked it up. If
you go to YouTube and watch Other Side of the Box,
it's a horror short film. I promise you at the
end of it, you're gonna sit there and say, yeah,
that's eerie. It's just a really good short It's only
fifteen minutes, but it's sensations out there. It's the it's
(35:51):
the suspense element.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Those more than just like unnecessary.
Speaker 9 (35:56):
Well, like you said, the Saw movies, it's just like
the first one was good, but it's like, okay, say
it is real quick.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Yep, I'm so not into that kind of stuff, you know,
on a mask and all of the Halloween stuff that
I had, like a Halloween mask and I would hide
it for myself every year because I was afraid that
I would wake up and someone would be standing over
(36:21):
me wearing that your own mask. So every Halloween I
have to buy a new one because I hid it
so well I couldn't find it.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
Okay, how old are at this point? Is it start
with the two and the three? Like, are you twenty
to thirty?
Speaker 7 (36:34):
I was forty.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
I was a man afraid of what can't be scared
of your own mask?
Speaker 4 (36:38):
That's serious.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I would I would hide the mask. There's some trauma
that we need to work out here. What happened when
you were a kid? I'm forty.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
I was afraid because, yeah, what happened that I'm starting
to see there's some some some stuff that's happened that
got you scared. But yeah, not really into it. There's
some some out there. Either way, enjoy it whatever you're
getting into with the kids and the family. Also, Kevin
Durant some interesting thoughts behind some words. He said, we'll
tell you next
Speaker 8 (37:08):
Mhm.
