Speaker 2 (00:19):
You're listening to the best of the Dcouple with Chris
Brush and Ron Harker.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Michael Parsons was the biggest Dak Prescott fan. Remember last year,
what did he finish second second place for the MVP
voting because Lamar Jackson didn't get all the first place votes,
so that was on.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
There was one first place vote that he didn't get.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
But anyway, he was singing the praises of Dak who
had this fantastic year, of course until the playoff showed up.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
But anyway, now he's had a different tune. Rob G.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Can you explain how Michael Parsons has quickly taken a
left turn on his guy who were saying was one
of the greatest quarterbacks and put some respect with a
K on his name.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Rob almost a year ago to the day. Unbelievable. Michael
Parsons wanted his podcast in the wake of an impressive
Dak Prescott performance to be honest, he had a great game,
and he said something along the lines of, I don't
condone the bashing of Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, and
they don't have the same energy for the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
So when we.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Play bad, you come at us. When the Eagles play bad,
no one says anything. And then he finishes his podcast again,
last year, I'm tired of people trashing my quarterback.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
All right, flat forward one year, almost like the three
hundred and sixty.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Four days later, Michael Parsons is on his podcast with
Trayvon Diggs and they're talking about quarterback play in the NFL,
and what was intended to be a compliment henery segment
of Jaydon and Dangels having a great season winded up
being a backhanded compliment at his own quarterback.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
Take a listen.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
Where would you rank him among quarterbacks right now? I
would say it's definitely top ten higher. You think he's
top five for sure?

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Who else you gonna put it in there?

Speaker 6 (02:16):
Give us your top five right now?

Speaker 7 (02:18):
I'm gonna go him.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I'm gonna go Mahomes.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
Mar got that mark. Yeah, Josh is Jalen playing pretty
good right now too.

Speaker 7 (02:26):
Jared Golf is the top five quarterback right now. And
Matthew Stafford bro I love how Matthew Stafford played the
quarterbacks every like Sam Donald playing and it could be
in the top five conversation right now. Yeah, Sam Donald
looking to a lot of my quarterbacks right now. I
can't give you a top five right now based on
how everybody's performed.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Who wasn't listed in that list? Wait a minute, won't
we missing somebody?

Speaker 1 (02:52):
What we were missing? Dak Prescott? The code no ain't
no way, no no, no, we heard it. We just
ain't no way. They didn't say that, right, Maybe I'm
missing maybe get old. Maybe my airphone this on because
I know I heard Dak in there somewhere.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Dak was not mentioned, nowhere to be found.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
And the other one, too is Patrick Mahomes is having
an awful year. I'm talking about numbers wides. I know
they've won seven games, but my goodness, really and no
Dak nowhere to be found?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Well, I think that's what's what's even more insulting about
it is that if you're going just strictly off the numbers,
you want to have some Patrick Mahomes couldn't be in
there just based off the numbers, all right, Well, then
that means you're going based off what you really feel about.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
The right, which means you.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Ain't mentioned that because the same thing could apply. You
could be like, I know, Dak numbers aren't the great
right now, right, but he's on his way up, he's
coming back. Don't worry about it. Were about to get
a run going. You had a chance to big up
your own guy. Now, this is to me, very very
very telling. Michael Parsons is bright enough to know most

(04:00):
of the time, which you know, those types of podcasts,
we don't want to hear some wow that was really
warm and cuddly feeling things. People want the salation stuff,
right if he talks smack about another player, or if
he said something a by the player or coaching his
own team, or or back when I was in college
we used to get free money.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
Whatever, that's what folks want. That's what's gonna go viral.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
And you knew good and well when you open your
mouth and did not mention Dak Prescott, even if you
left open a caveat to say, hey, this is my man.
So I'm gonna keep him out the ranking, you know,
just because that's just my man. I'm gonna keep him
out just to be fair, like, okay, cool, you can't
list that and not. That's very deliberate. At some point,
Dak Prescott crosses your mind and you mentioned his name

(04:39):
just off of GP general principle.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
That's my guy. I'm naming him because you know we're
gonna hear that. You didn't.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
You know, we're gonna make a thing of it. And
you know, Dak felt some type of way. Now if
maybe if this is telling him that is there something
going on? Is there some smoke? Do they not get
down with each other? Are they not rocking with each other?
So he's like, hey, it is what it is. I
said what I said, But this is very loud, very telling,
And this is why why I was telling Rob g earlier.
I don't mind players having podcasts, but it would be

(05:08):
cool sometimes if they had a podcast that it wasn't
even about the sport they played, Like what if Michael
Parsons had a WWE because he's just a massive fan,
he had some niche audience and he just talked about
WWE stuff, or he talks about you know, playing call
of duty like it doesn't have to be. You're giving
me all this football insight during the season, and in
particular talking about your own team and leaving out the

(05:28):
most important position, the quarterback. So that was very loud
to me, very very again deliberate and again, if you're
Dak Prescott, you already got you and c and he
keep bumping heads and they keep saying they're good, but
they keep doing it.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
You're hearing all this other stuff rumbling Mike McCarthy. It
just it's getting loud.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
And I wouldn't like that if I was deck, Like, man,
we're trying to hold this thing down to write the ship,
and here you are starting little stupid things that we
just don't need.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah, well, this is why I'm against it. It just
it there's nothing that good that comes out of it. Seriously,
what is the good that comes out of it? Either
you're going to upset a teammate or infuriate an opponent
for what reason?

Speaker 8 (06:12):
What?

Speaker 4 (06:12):
What? What reason do you serve?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Is being a pro athlete making millions of dollars?

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Not a dollaring?

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Is it that rowing of a life?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Seriestly, I had a conversation can't be about the money
of it because because they're not making the money that
they're making playing. I just don't even understand with all
that you could be doing that that is where you
want to go. If you want to go and hang
out with your buddies and talk ball and go to
the bar, you know what I mean, and then being
your bend, your man's room or whatever, you could do

(06:41):
that you don't have to put a mic on.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
I think so.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I had a conversation with a friend of mine a
little bit older, it's more like a mentor, and he
kept asking me about it. Was the point was like,
why is angel Reese doing this? Doing this, doing this podcat? Like,
why isn't she just kind of like hooping? I'm like
this era they feel it's a big case of fomo
fear of missing out? Why am I not at a

(07:07):
New York Fashion Week? Why am I not at the
met Gala? Why am I not having a podcast? Why
am I not a guest appearance on someone else's podcast?

Speaker 6 (07:15):
Like there's a weird fear of missing out.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I think athletes are having now where if their hands
aren't in a million pots, it's almost like, well, what
are you doing?

Speaker 6 (07:23):
And I get it. They want to strike while the
iron's hot.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
They want to have a book deal, they want to
have this, they want to have their own show here.
They want to be what's your boy Travis Kelce in
a movie? Now he's got a movie coming out, like
they want to be in have a hands in a
bunch of pots.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
But it's almost like you don't have.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
To, like, he'll be fine, and I promise you'll live,
and I'll promise you'll be fine, and I promise folks
will still think highly of you.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
So again, I don't. I'm totally disappointed in that. Dude.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Fine, you already got the podcast now, like you know,
he's already in it. He's already been doing it for
some time. But you know what this does?

Speaker 9 (07:53):
Man?

Speaker 6 (07:53):
And now what are they doing Dallas?

Speaker 9 (07:56):
Hey?

Speaker 6 (07:56):
How you doing that? I know you guys got the
big game coming up?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
But Michael Parsons was listening out quarterbacks and he didn't list.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
You in his top ten.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Now that has a well you know, I don't really
I didn't really get a chance to hear it, but
I'm just I'm sure you know, blah blah blah.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yeah, yo's actually questioning that that the reporters in Dallas
will absolutely they will. They want to get a reaction.
Why you might get a great quote. Hey did you
hear him?

Speaker 6 (08:17):
I finally snap my dad presidential? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
But at some point, man, you're like, what he looks?
They listen, Michael listened to top ten quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
You weren't on that list. So you're surprised he didn't.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
You want what do you mean?

Speaker 9 (08:31):
Yeah? Man?

Speaker 1 (08:32):
And you know what and rob G Mary Mary Alex
when he's here, you know, y'all got.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Somebody whoever is running his pot.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
That's right.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
You ain't lying about that.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Maybe maybe that, maybe that double cheesecake set him back.
Somebody's got to be looking out for meaning he's got
to have a Mary. And now robb G somebody he yo, man,
you know because they don't. It's not like they do
these podcasts live like dude, like, yo, I don't know
if you caught that.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
But you didn't mention your boy.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
What would it be like if somebody you on a
podcast and you did the top five radio talk show
hosts on the national level and you didn't include me?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
You know what I like?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
And again if the best and again maybe because we're
older and more more mature and we're a little more savvy.
The best way to excuse that is to start by saying,
you know, that's my man, so I'm gonna keep him
out of it, just to be fair that way, you.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
Didn't say he was or you just go, man, you're
doing top ten.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Why do you have to keep him out of if
you really believe he's like one of the best, I'm
not going.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
To give him an exit, like even if yeah, it's
just to not mention him, even if he find to
your point, let's say he was like, I'm I'm just
such a real I'll be keeping it real. You know,
I'm just saying, you know, I got him at ten.
But that's my man. He gonna work his way to
not mention him at all. His absolute crazy work.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
And uh and I mentioned.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Before he you know mentioned that.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah last year said Darnold was even shot.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Got to put him first. And it's like at that time,
Kirk Cousin would do anything.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
Tyreek Hill goes out of his way to say two ways,
the best quarterback.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
And right right, and that's with Mahomes because that's his
quarterback right now.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
He's also sending out the Instagram but flirting.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
But he has done it, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
And he could have easily said, hey, I want to
I want him super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
I'm always got to keep him at the.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
He could say that, but he's smart enough to understand
I'm playing with Tua. And remember you're like, hey, nobody
throws a more accurate ball than too. I remember that
was saying to be fair.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
I mean, I get like it ain't like to have
been bad when he's had Tyreek. He said his personal
records with to it. But I'll say this last point
for me with this, I just think, am I not
forced to only think that there's something to this?

Speaker 6 (10:48):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Am I not forced to think he deliberately did this?
Like I don't want to, but I'm led to believe
that there's no way you were listening off quarterbacks and
I gave you ten like let's say it was three.
He just wanted to keep it real and he was
just like a Patrick Mahomes, Lamar and Josh Okay.

Speaker 6 (11:05):
Fine, I get that he is. We all know Dak's
not better than those three? Do we gave you ten?
You ain't gonna name the ten.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
So and that's that was deliberate, Like I said, there's
some to it, or if it wasn't deliberate and he
and like accidentally left him off meeting. He know Dak
ain't a top ten player. Like that's just he was
just his honest answer. Then, man, that's that's very damning.
Either way, your man's has to make the list. I repeat,
your man's has to make the list.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
We're joined now by former NFL quarterback. Fox Sports Radio
NFL analysts are Man, we are down with the King,
Sean King.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
What's up, brother, what's up fellos?

Speaker 9 (11:55):
What y'all doing on this glorious, glorious Friday.

Speaker 10 (11:58):
We're very good and good Man, Hey, go ahead, Rob, Yeah,
I was just gonna say, we're just talking about Michael
Parson in this podcast, and he went on to name
the top ten quarterbacks in the league.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Didn't mention Dak if that were you when you were
a quarterback and you were the number two in the
voting for MVP a year ago, and your own teammate
doesn't even have you in the top ten. He might
have named Daniel Jones ahead of him. I'm just saying,
would you be happy with that or would it not
bother you at all?

Speaker 9 (12:26):
I mean I wouldn't be happy with it, But I
also was a very self introspective kind of person, and
if we're being honest, that isn't a top team quarterback
right now. Twenty twenty four didn't play well.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
I get I get that, I get that.

Speaker 9 (12:42):
Might that might hurt something, that might hurt some people's
feelings who don't have emotions. If he wants to be
named by his teammates from the top ten, play better.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah, but mini point, My only point is that's why
is it really necessary for Michael Parson to have a podcast?

Speaker 4 (12:59):
What comes out of it?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Other than upsetting a team made or infuriating opponents?

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Like what, what is the point of it?

Speaker 9 (13:08):
The point is, these guys think they're more than just athletes.
They think they're a brand, they think they're a celebrity.
So how do you stay relevant and have a voice?
We found that non.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Traditional easy play play. How about playing.

Speaker 9 (13:23):
Hey I'm old school, I'm forty seven.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
I'm just saying I'm not I'm asking Michael Porsch's that
defense is giving up fifty points a game at home
in the last four games, and the podcast is what's important.

Speaker 9 (13:36):
Ron, I'm not arguing with you. I'm simply identifying what
I think one of the real issues with athletes these days,
Like the car is before the horse was, so many
of these guys like I didn't even want to do
my weekly radio show when I played bad, like I
was humble as can be. Like it's just these guys
like they only they only yelled their successes and make

(14:00):
hid their failures. And if I'm like a process, man, Look,
i might even pausing my podcast a couple of weeks
so I get healthy and I can participate. My team's losing.
I'm not a part of the losing because I'm not available.
But when I was available, we weren't very good. But
these guys are wired different.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Man.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, one of the things I said, Sean was and
we can kind of get off of that. But I
just said, it's a lot of fomo right now. Athletes
feel like if I'm not at the met galer, the
fashion show, if I'm not doing this big thing here.
If I don't have a podcast, if I'm not popping
on social media, then you know I'm missing out. And
I see a lot of that with the urgency, like
why does Angelies has a podcast?

Speaker 6 (14:36):
You know, it's like it's not even you ain't even.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Got your foot yet in the league, you know, first year,
but she already has a podcast and it's already got
some controversy with shock and whatnot.

Speaker 6 (14:45):
So anyway, but I was shocked.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
By your answer though, because I thought that now I
got to go back to the locker room and see
Dak and here the reporters, who are the first thing
they're gonna ask Dak is Hey, Michael Parsons just hey,
he his podcast and he didn't let miss in his
top ten quarterbacks. How you feel a And that was
added annoyance and drama and things they don't need when
we're trying to win games.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
I'm shot you didn't think say.

Speaker 9 (15:05):
That, because part of becoming a consistently elite player is
having someone coach you. Sometimes it has a company of
your teammates, Like these organizations are so into coddling the quarterback.
We don't want to mess up his confidence that they
aren't coaching these guys. They're not holding them accountable for

(15:26):
their performances, and you can't improve if that's the environment
you live in. Maybe this is a spark that motivates
that to actually play better. That has been awful this year.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
We don't doubt that. I mean, that's that's not even
an issue. I agree with that.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
How about CJ. Stroud, what's happened with him?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
I know there's offensive line issues and Stefan Diggs that missing,
he's missing some of his receivers. I get all that,
but even prior to that, it just hasn't been the
same year as it was a year ago.

Speaker 9 (15:54):
Well, he's not missing some of his receivers. Let's not
dominish who Nico Collins has become his league.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Yeah, but there were six and two coming into night.

Speaker 9 (16:03):
But it's not gonna look the same when Nico Collins
isn't there. Now, you take away Stefan Diggs, like Kate
dill is an elite third wide receiver, but when he's
your number one, you're not playing with the same deck
of cards. It's why I always go at you when
you try diminish what Patrick Mahomes is doing. Well, you
can go out and find ways to win games when
you guys aren't full strength and you don't got.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Your God, him throwing eight interceptions has nothing to do
with who's not there.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
He's thrown to the other time.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
No, it doesn't stop it.

Speaker 8 (16:33):
It does, it does.

Speaker 9 (16:35):
Those guys are elit wide receivers that get open, create separation,
take short passes, tut them into loan passes.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
I've also seen them throw. I've also seen them throw
a ball right at somebody. I mean, come on, you
can't always blame You can't always blame that. It's always
the reason that you're doing this or doing that is
because of the other talent.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Sometimes you're just.

Speaker 9 (16:57):
Bad you TJ.

Speaker 8 (16:59):
Child not, I'm just say it.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
I'm just saying, he don't look like he wants. He
don't look like you did last year. That's all I'm doing.

Speaker 9 (17:05):
Get carried away and go crazy. Your teammates matter. Shoha
Towney is the best player in baseball right He did
nothing in the World Series. His teammates picked him up.
So CJ. Stroud is having to adapt without his two
best offensive players this year outside of Joe Mixon. He's
figuring that out as they go. They're finding a way
to still win games. They'll get better as they keep going.

(17:27):
The thing I like about CJ. Stroud, The thing I
like about Shot is looking at the toughness that he showed,
like getting up after getting hit every time, still standing
in there, trying to make the throws like it's only
a second year player.

Speaker 8 (17:39):
Like. I love that kid.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
He don't blink, he stands there. He tries to make
the players don't get healthy eventually. There's nothing wrong with
c J. Stroud. Stop making stuff up.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Wrong, I'm not making stuff up. He doesn't look the
same to me from a year ago. And that that
was from the very beginning, not when everybody got hurt.
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (17:58):
For the first couple of games of the year here
Nico Collins were scored, served, they were they were bomb.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, Niko was going crazy in those first couple of games.

Speaker 9 (18:04):
Yeah, I'm going down is a big loss. And then
Diggs goes down. I thought, I thought.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
What I'm told all the time is great players adapt
and they're able to make other people better around them.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
That's what I've always been. That's what I've always heard
about people. So so that's it.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
You can't have your take. I'm asking you, you can't
come on national radio and criticize touching Mahomes. Why not
if he's not playing well, undefeated, all of his number.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Guess all of his numbers are all time worse for him,
that's all. Why can't we acknowledge that he's not playing
that well. He's even acknowledged it, but you can't acknowledge
it. It doesn't make sense, Sean. I'm not saying I'm not
trying to strip down his his legacy or say he's
a bomb, or are we going to take away his
MVPs or whatnot, but we can't. Why can't we look

(18:53):
at a guy and say he's playing poorly because.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
He's finding a way to help his team win, which
is what CJ. Shad is doing. It doesn't look elite
like it's looked in the past because they aren't at
full throttle, they don't have all their guys. You gotta
get some credit to the teams they're playing too. Those
guys get paid every week. So when you show up
and you don't got all your bullets, you're just trying
to find a way to win. It might not look beautiful.

(19:17):
If you can find a way to win it. Hey, man,
you're doing a hell of a job.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Hey, let me say this one more thing.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
I gotta get this in the catch by Wilson last
night's trendous. Okay, but I don't think it's an all
time great catch. And I'm gonna tell you what I mean,
rob Gie A we're still doing this later or.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
No about the catch? Are we talking about the catch?

Speaker 8 (19:36):
No?

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Uh uh?

Speaker 3 (19:38):
And here's my issue with it, because it's the same
thing when I first saw the OBJ catch, and I
swear to you, I'm watching the game and with Sunday
Night Football, me and Chris collins Worth at the same
exact time said that's the greatest catch I ever saw. Okay,
And then I found out about these sticky gloves and
what these guys which has changed some of these incredible

(20:01):
catches through the gloves not get some of the credit
for these catches, is all I'm saying, Sean, I'm asking you,
with the sticky gloves, can you make that catch? And
the reason I say it is Sports Illustrated took some kids,
high school kids through the ball to them with no gloves.
They couldn't catch anything through the ball to them with gloves.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
And animals caught everything.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
And I'm asking you, as somebody who's been around that
or seeing those gloves, what is the difference?

Speaker 4 (20:31):
Does that make?

Speaker 9 (20:32):
Well, it makes a difference. But at the same time,
for contexts, that may be the greatest catch in Jet's history.
I kept Woody Johnson from changing the key fob for
everybody in the building like they were about to lose
that game. So the significance of winning made the catch,
and how important it was in the outcome last night,
I can give it whatever credit somebody designs.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
It to have.

Speaker 9 (20:53):
Do they have an advantage with the gloves yet?

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Okay, that's all I want to know.

Speaker 9 (20:57):
Okay, got an advantage? Man, We grew up know about nutrition.
Wasn't no such thing as yoga, wasn't the recovery tanks.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
But I know that they used to be stick them
with with When I was a kid watching football, they
used to have stick them and they had gobs of
it on the sidelines and people would stick their hands
in and run out so that they wouldn't fumble the
ball and they would catch the ball. They outlawed that
because it was ridiculous with the stick them, and now
they have the sticky gloves, That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (21:24):
I guess they helped some of them and hurt the others.
I saw Devontae Adams drop a couple of balls. He
never drops. He's got the same kind of gloves on it,
That's what I was saying. I'm gonna give him Garrett
Wilson the credit he deserves for that catch.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
All right, all right, and they wouldn't use some of them.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Give us your best bet for this well, Sunday in
football NFL, all right.

Speaker 9 (21:45):
In calls, I'm going almost to Canada. I'm going to
the state of Washington. I'm taking the Huskies at home.
That weather's changing, the Trojans feeling kind of good about theirself.
I think Washington finds a way to win at home
in the NFL. Listen, I think Lamar is a little
banged up. I don't know if them can win at Baltimore,
but I do think they can keep it inside of
the nine and a half. So Broncos plus the points

(22:06):
on the road at Baltimore and the Washington Huskies to
win outright at home versus the Trojans of Troy.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
All right, he is sean king man. We appreciate Sean.
You know, hey, I'm when this is over, I'm gonna
call it to robb G. I'm gonna get your number
so I can call you, cause you just.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
Don't worry about it.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
I'm sorry, Sean, I'm gonna call I know you.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
I know you got your thinking tomorrow so we can
actually talk.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
I'm sorry. I didn't mean it.

Speaker 8 (22:34):
I guys.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
We have Lamar Mitchell bet MGM, director of Trading, joining
the show.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
Money Money, Money Mine.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Well, I'll have a voice right now. I've been screaming
all the lust last week, screaming at you mostly robb G.
I mean not robb G, Rob Parker, my bad Rock's
all right.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Hey, the longer you're with me, the more screaming you're
gonna do. It's gonna be good in your life.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
No, no, it ain't as it is. But Lamar ain't
trying to hear all that.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Lamar?

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Hey, Lamar has been on his show for years. He
knows how I get down it's just you just gotta adapt.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
That's why it only comes on once a week because
he couldn't take any more than that.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
All right, hey rob g but hey, there we go.
Let's go Kevin, Let's get started with Lamar and man.
Good weekend, All.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
Right, Lamar, we were just talking about it.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Man, there's a few good games this weekend, but we're
gonna talk about the last time that we saw to
and face the Bills. He got hit with that concussion tomorrow.
Hamlet of all people, by the way, hit him, and
he missed the next couple of months. But this week
they're a six point road underdog in Buffalo. The better's
buying it in Miami at all this spot. You know
what I mean too, you can get that offense slinging.

Speaker 8 (23:55):
No stir Glevin. No one's buying into the Bills, or
excuse me, the Dolphins this weekend. Take a transaction on
this game. Is about fourteen to one in favor of
the Bills.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
How many did one?

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Fourteen to one, fourteen one, four to one, four to one?

Speaker 8 (24:12):
Yeah, So did you.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Guys pull it off the board? Are you gonna go
out of business?

Speaker 9 (24:16):
What do you.

Speaker 8 (24:18):
Luckily? Luckily there's not been a lot of money coming
in on it right now, but even money is about
ten to one in favor.

Speaker 9 (24:25):
Of the Bills, so the public.

Speaker 8 (24:27):
Is all on on the Bills here. We did have
the sharps. We initially opened this game at six and
a half. They took the six and a half, but
we're solid right now at six. So but it's all
it's all bills, money, all builds transactions.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
On this game.

Speaker 6 (24:41):
I hear, all right, it's a sneaky one though, yeah,
it is nicky one, all right.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
The Raiders haven't won a lot of games on the
Antonio Piers, right, but they are twelve and five against
the spread on the AP this week there seven point
road underdogs against the Bengals.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
What kind of action are you seeing in Vegas?

Speaker 8 (24:57):
You know this is this is a Jilles versus those
games one percent because the pros are all on the Raiders.
You mentioned that against the points, but they're all on
the Raiders here plus eight and a half, what's the
seven and a half? That's what we're at seven right now.
But Joe public three to one treat took a transaction
in the favor of the Bengals and money four to

(25:19):
one in favor of the Bengals. So we'll see right here,
it's gonna be Joe's versus Pros one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
All right, Now, this one is just I mean, this
team sometimes you got to get kicked down and go
play college football.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
We're talking about, how is the general manager and the
coach still around?

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Yeah, and it's a seven four at home this season.
And watch this, Lamar. They're averaging seven point eight per
game points per game at home. That's like somebody like
a set backup point guard in the NBA.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Seven point eight points in an NFL four team at.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Home, absolutely ridiculous. It's the fewest obviously in the league.
But so, Lamar, I'm asking you, what kind of action
are you seeing on the over under forty four and
a half this Sunday when they are facing the Commanders,
who are a really good team.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
That's seven point eight.

Speaker 8 (25:59):
That's a racing no, believe it or not. I mean,
the money is all definitely coming out on the under
in this game. But the numbers moved both ways. Joe,
that it over that it under think at transaction in
this situation, believe or not, from the public. They're betting
this game over. So but the Joe, I mean, the

(26:22):
Sharks have been all over this game over the total
forty four and a half, under forty four and a
half back to forty four. So, but money is all
on the under on this right here. So it's gonna
be interesting, especially since you know, they haven't really scored
a lot of points like you mentioned.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
All right, overs are seven and one in Ravens games
this season, which is the highest over percentage in the NFL.
This week they got the Broncoals and their stingy defense.
Where the Sharps on this the over unders forty three
and a half.

Speaker 9 (26:53):
Yeah, I believe it.

Speaker 8 (26:54):
Man, we open this at forty three, we're at forty
six and a half right now. Because that market has
been driven by the show Sharp. Money is all on this.
This is also a game where the public is all
on the over. To believe it or not, they're they're
on this as well too as far as money. Uh So,
it's gonna be interesting to see, you know, Like I said,

(27:16):
the public is on this on the money. The Sharks
are on this on the money, forty three all the
way to forty six.

Speaker 9 (27:21):
And a half.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
All right, And after looking at a turnover machine last
year and a half, Jayler Hurts zero giveaway zamar in
the past few games, starting to get it right. And
because of that you got Philadelphia three and over that
stretch with the points for game differential of plus sixteen
point three.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
Where are the Sharps at the on.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
The Eagles right now and they're giving they're getting let
me say that, their favorite seven and a half against
the Jacks, who are just really a bad team right now.

Speaker 8 (27:49):
Yeah, this is definitely a game where the public and
the Sharks on the staying side, the Sharks laid the
seven up to the seven and a half. Public is
on this, on this on the Sharps on the Eagle side,
money's about ten to one in favor of the Eagles
and that ticket transaction about four to one in favor
of the Eagles. So yeah, this is a game where
we're definitely gonna need the Jags. I don't know if Joey,

(28:13):
excuse me, I don't know if like for Lawrence, can
you know cover that seven and a half. But that's
where we're definitely gonna need these guys right now.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
All right, The game of the week Lions against the
Packers and Latt Lambeau on the mat be Florida. The
Packers are six and one outright against the spread as
home underdog, so they win when they counted out. With
that in mind, I assume the betters are all over
Green Bay getting two and a half at home.

Speaker 9 (28:39):
You will be mistaken, sir.

Speaker 8 (28:41):
I got gotta tell you. Public is all on the line.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Is that because Jordan loved too as the groin and
Jacobs is banged up too?

Speaker 9 (28:50):
Right?

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Is that?

Speaker 8 (28:51):
Yeah? Absolutely? I mean the public. I mean, money's a
four to one in favor of the lines here, tickets
are three to one in favor of the line. But
the Sharps, the guys who drive the market, they've been
pounding this number and we opened it four and it's
been vet down all the way to.

Speaker 9 (29:09):
Two and a half.

Speaker 8 (29:10):
I mean they took the four, they took the four,
shoot four and a half down, a four down, a
three and a half down to three, down to two
and a half. So yeah, sharp's definitely on the Packers
and they love that getting points against the Lions here,
But the public is all on the Lions.

Speaker 6 (29:25):
All right.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
We got to talk about a team because it's mandatory.

Speaker 6 (29:27):
You got to do it when you're talking football.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
The Cowboys they're owing five in they're past five games
following a loss. This week, they're three point road underdogs
Amar against the Falcons, who would be the opposite they
won four straight. You got Kirk Cousins going crazy right now.
Where are the Sharps on this one?

Speaker 8 (29:43):
Sharks have been on these side of the Falcons. I
got to say, unfortunately for Cowboy Nation out there, Cowboy fans,
it doesn't look like, you know, they're going to get
a good result in this situation here, because the Sharks
have been pounding this number from two to two and
a half up to three. Joe PubL is they're split
on this fifty to fifty right now in the middle
as far as ticket transaction. But yeah, I mean, the

(30:06):
Sharps definitely land the points in the Falcon. So, uh,
you know, the Cowboys are not in a good spot here.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
It just feels like the Cowboys are due, you know
what I mean? Like that, like, like just on looking
at it, I agree it should be the Falcons, but
you just they've lost so many games in the row
and they've looked terrible, Like at some point you figure
they're not going to have a good night.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
What have we just spend time talking about. You got
Micah Hayten on Dax. This ain't a good thing right now,
all right.

Speaker 8 (30:34):
Lamar, absolutely, because you've seen how they play. They've been
a turnover machine on offense. Can't block, can't tackle on defense,
and uh you know the Sharps are looking at that
and saying, yeah, they can't. They can't operate in those
fastest of the game. And that's why they're betting the Falcons.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
All right, here's Lamar Mitchell brother. We appreciate you all
ways on weekend. Thank you man I.

Speaker 8 (30:57):
Told you guys that bring with you. Thanks Bob me
