Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're listening to the Best of The Odd Couple with
Chris Bruson and Ron Parker.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
One of the glaring things that happened, and we talked
about him about the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I picked them to win.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I said, they've been so they've been so bad because
I told you I had no rhyme or reason.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I was going on pure it happens.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
People wining, You're not gonna lose everything.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
That's exactly what it was like.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
It's Atlanta, My god, you know, am I really crowning Atlanta?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
They can't be beat. The Cowboys are bad. I get it.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
They'll luck their way into a win or whatever. They
can't even look their way to a win or to anything.
To be honest, they're so bad. But the season's over,
and you know what, you gotta figure it out. Dak
has heard he's gonna miss a few weeks. I don't know,
are they gonna finally let Trey Lance get in there
or try. I know he's not the number two quarterback,

(01:17):
but right, but you know what I'm saying, they know
what you already know what he is.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I would try to take a look at Trey Lance.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Why not, like like just to see if he's anything
or do we need to move on because the guy
was a top pick right in the first round by
the forty nine ers. But my point is this is
not about just firing Mike McCarthy. We already know that
he'll have a contract for next year. We already know
he won't be back, So that's not telling you anything

(01:46):
special about what the Cowboys are. You could you could
cut Ezekiel Elliott right, he's not rushing for anything.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
This guy can't make meetings. He's late.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
They left him behind this past weekend because uh, he
just he was. I didn't go to meetings or whatever.
I don't even know how a guy's career is hanging
by a shoe string because late.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Lighted that they're not using him enough. He already said
that a few weeks ago. So you don't go to
you know, you come later. I didn't say he wasn't
being Petty Wap. He is Petty Wap's brother.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Petty I don't even understand, like, like you're playing football.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
People got to work a real eight or ten hours
for no money, and you're playing in the NFL and
you can't go to practice or you can't be on time.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Seriously, Nope, I think it's a pout. That's sweet that
brought me back using me enough. Man, could be I
could be better than this.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I think areed no running back for the Cowboys to
rush for more than thirteen yards on and to carry.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I mean like it's like really bad. I mean, you
can only go so far. But go ahead. I know
you're cooking too something. Yeah, here's my biggest here's my
biggest thing.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
You already signed a quarterback, and you signed right Dak
Prescott for sixty million a year. You signed c Ed Lamb,
who's more like a money market because he doesn't have
a quarterback really so right now, But if I'm the
out Boys, I think big and I try to change
what you have here. Okay, I would trade Michaeh Parsons

(03:09):
and try to get some pieces and first round picks
that are going to fill these holes because defensively they
can't stop anybody, right, And what is the point on
having you Remember, he's gotta get paid. He's not taking
you got a discount. He's gotta get big money, so
you're gonna pay. You got a quarterback with big money,

(03:31):
a wide receiver with big money, and now you're gonna
sign a defensive right player with big money and your
team can't win. Nah, I'm not doing that. You have
to make drastic times, call for drastic measures. I think
they should trade Michael Parsons well and throwing his podcast
as a podcast into it.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
And now if you act now, you'll get Micah's of
the podcast. No, I hear you.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
And if I was a Dallas Cowboy fan, I would
understand the frustration and the need to do something drastic,
and I do think they should. But I do think
there's a greater issue right now with them, and it
seems to be cultural, like something's just off the mojo
ain't mojo, and right now something is not working, not
clicking within the organization. You got Dak Prescott and Ceedee

(04:17):
Lamb getting into a multiple games and I'm used we
all used to quarterbacks and receivers having a moment, but
they had it for multiple games. You got Micah Parsons
going on this podcast talking about top ten quarterbacks, not
mentioning Dan Offil mic Yeah, you got. You got Dak
on the sideline on being just talking about we blank
and suck. Something just seems to be off right now

(04:39):
with them as a whole. You got, of course, Jerry
Jones yelling at people, yelling at radio people, threatening to
fire people. So the whole dag on organization right now
isn't a funk. So I don't think just getting rid
of Mike Parsons Michael Parsons is the answer. And also
why I don't like that is because, as you know,
I'm big on guarantees and what that means is like

(04:59):
for the MO part. I know what I'm getting for
Michael Parkson. Now I'm not saying he's gonna get twenty
two sacks every year, but I know when healthy one
going at all times is that I know. But when
he's healthy, he's not my issue. It's Aiden Hutchinson. I'm
big on that, TJ. Watt, guys like that, Chris Jones
for the Chiefs. That's why they couldn't let him go
because guys like that, I know what I'm getting and
that helps me kind of ease my pains.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Okay, I could tell that the Cowboys have not been
to the NFC Championship Game since like ninety six. I mean,
I'm just.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
No, I know, I know, but I think I'm saying the.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Time you gonna pay another guy megabucks on this team.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
The issue to me is it's who else you pay
like you paid Dak crazy money. Micah's gonna get paid,
but Mike, I know, for the next few years, is
gonna get me twelve sacks, you know, three Force Farmers.
I kind of can pencil in when I know what's
gonna happen, and those are kind of those are the
plays that can help change games. It's some other things,
some other bad decisions. Ignoring Eric Henry who said he

(06:01):
would love to play in Texas again, and da da da.
He just ignored Derrick Henry city And now, yeah, well
you find some money as much as you do Jerry Jones.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
You better find some money.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
If in Jerry world, Jerry's world, you go find money
for Derek Henry, who looks incredible. Him and Sakwuan competing
for the best backs in the league, along with the
combo that you're getting out of Detroit. Not singularly, but
I'm just they look a mess as a whole. It
looks bad. It's so disappointing because here they go again
with high expectations to do something and they just look
a mess. Like I said, and really their quarterback who

(06:32):
Mica said ain't top ten, said it best we blank
and suck, and they do blank and suck right now.
They let Kirk Obangs Kirk Cousins go in there and
go crazy Kirk Cousins, and now the Falcons are one
vot five straight. He's throwing touchdowns all over the place,
wearing chains on planes, got the holes place, swag surfing.
So they let the Falcons continue to have successful They
just look a mess right now. And I think it's

(06:53):
a complete overallul needed. Yeah, but how do you make
it complete?

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Whatever that you need, picks you need, like this is
what you have to take, something that's valuable you have
to give to get you're not gonna get, so so
I would take and try to go get that Michaeh.
Parsons who's not ready to get paid, Like, go get
two first round picks and a second round pick for
a guy who's established, who can bring value that somebody

(07:20):
would cover it. And then you go get younger guys
who you hope one of them could develop in a
player similar. Now I'm not saying he's gonna replace Micah
from day one and be the same guy, but you
just can't bring back the same group overpay or pay
all these guys and you you can't stop anybody defensively
and you can't win.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I mean, they got some defensively. DeMarcus Lawrence is out.
What do you do though? What I'm saying, I think
you hangar had on. We're missing Michah, DeMarcus Lawrence is out.
Bland has just been out. Like I think you've rest
on man our defense. We haven't even seen our defense
at a peak, and when do we do? Will be
better in that playoff game against the Right, But I

(08:01):
think that's what they're banking on. We're missing our two
best defensive players, and DeMarcus Lawrence and also Micah when
they get back, will be better.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
I'm looking at Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
In the sense of it's not that you you're terrible and
we don't have winning records. When you've been our coach,
you don't ulstit anything. There's no mojo. You're not getting
us going. Maybe there's something better up there. But they
went thirteen I know what I'm saying that, but you
but ultimately, he's not getting it done in the postseason.
And that's team that is their expected They're not the
Tennessee Titans, where they hey man, we went twelve thirteen.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Games, but where's this year? There's no way this team
should be as bad as it is.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
And that's why I'm looking at the coach and I'm like,
can you get something to look at that? Can you
get some uh? And and again this is desperate measures, right,
this is what we're talking about.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Knew that they did nothing in the in the in
the off season, that they didn't.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Boast of their roster, the general manager.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
It's what I'm just saying, at some point you got
to start to if you really want to shake it
up and do something, you gotta do something drastic and bold.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
That can Steve have a talk with Daddy one day,
just over some wings, over a nice little cold ice.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I haven't just say, hey man, Dad.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
I was just thinking, like, what if you just went
home with mom and just retired and just went this
good literally just that. Hey, remember you always said you
wanted to go on that Scurs and that cruise for six.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Go ahead and do that, Go ahead and do that.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Yeah, you know, we got FaceTime now, Dad, you can
just FaceTime you, boy. I'll tell you, Hay, Dad, I'm
in the office. This is what we're doing. Steve is
Steve though, is his son not a piece of the problem.
But I'm saying, at least we got half the problem going.
If Daddy's gone, my goodness, all right, man, that's part
of the issue.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Let's talk about you.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
You brought up the Lions earlier, but we didn't really
talk about the Packers, and the Packers lost, and I
don't know, I'm starting to look at Jordan Love a
little differently, okay. And I thought when he beat the Cowboys,
at first we thought that was his coming out party.

(10:07):
My god, he he was unbelievable. And then he had
had like five or six games in a row. Better
right in the end of last season, because in the
middle of the season was like, ah, where is he?

Speaker 3 (10:18):
And then it was like, okay, this guy.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
It all came together and then they trashed the Dallas
Cowboys in Dallas. Fast forward to this season and you
realize the Cowboys aren't any good and they've been trashed
by three other teams. Okay, everybody, So it's not a
Jordan Love coming out party, only where he was able
to do it against his team that had won sixteen

(10:43):
straight home games and had this great defense. No, we
now know the Cowboys aren't any good and their defense
is terrible. So now you look at the Packers and
Jordan Love and guess what. He's a turnover machine. He
had a couple more yesterday, right, Rob Do we have
the number, rob g. I mean he throws about it

(11:06):
feels like he throws two interceptions every game.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Well, here's the numbers that you should probably want to know.
This is not just this season kind of thing. Jordan Loves.
First nine games as a starter last year, fourteen touchdowns,
ten picks. People were saying maybe they should bench him,
maybe they made their all that stuff. Then he goes
on this heater which is an all time great heater.
The next eight games sixteen touchdowns, one pick gets himself

(11:34):
secures the bag. The largest contracts include.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
The playoff game.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Of that big playoff game in Dallas, and everybody was watching,
so they were like, they got they got their guy.
Unbelievable Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and now Jordan Love.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
And then you fast forward to this season and it
looks eerily similar to the start of last season. Through
seven game because too of them miss with injury. Fifteen touchdowns,
ten picks. So the sandwiches end of it, the bread
par don't look great. You're hoping he's somewhere in the
middle like we saw towards the end of last season.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Well, this is where I come out and I said
this a couple of weeks ago. This is why I
think the Packers are in good hands though, because I
think they have the marriage of Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Literally what you just said was split exactly.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Brett Farr will throw a bunch of touchdowns, five touchdowns
on Monday Night Football after his father passed.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
He looked great.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Then Brett Farr will lose you the game because he
gambled and threw an interception. That's the story of Brett Farr, however,
went to a couple of Super Bowls one to one.
Was an MVP. What a couple of times, and so overall,
heck of a career. Hall of Famer, especially just on
the field. We'll leave off the field for another day.
How about helping them poor No, no, I thought we
gonna need that another day. Strictly, we're gonna keep it,

(12:47):
you know, in between the lines. Now I go to
Aaron Rodgers amazing career, Hall of Fame career, arguably for me,
one of the top three most talented quarterbacks I've ever seen.
I mean, he's just pure talent. Won a bunch of games,
a bunch of awards. You want more in the postseason
from that, you want more wins in the postseason, you
want more Super Bowls. Part of that, to me and others,

(13:09):
he was too conservative. He wouldn't make the mistake. He
was too calculated. And it works in the regular season,
but every now and again, you gotta throw an Eli
Manning pass where I'm gonna just close my eyes, I'm
getting tackled, and I hope David Tyreek catches it. And
I think you have the perfect marriage between the two.
When it comes to Jordan Love, He's gonna take some
risks that you're gonna scratch your head. He's gonna turn
it over every now and again. But also think those

(13:31):
same things will have him in a successful situation because
he's gonna take those risks, he's gonna be able to
make passes and plays that you were like, Man, I
don't think anybody else could have made that. And he's
also talented like a Aaron Rodgers and accurate likeing Aaron Rodgers.
So I think they have their guy for another decade
and that'll be what forty years of quarterbacking for the
Packers where they've been solidified with three guys.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
So he's gonna turn it over. He's very banged up
by the way.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
I mean, you saw him like yesterday's but I don't
even know if he should have been out there. He's
so banged up, been injured last season a little bit
this season as well. So once he's healthy and at
his best strength, I think they still got a guy,
and I'd be one thousand percent happy to have him.
In fact, there might be off the top of my head,
five six guys, I'll take over him.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Maybe if the entire nfield, I think they got one
of those ones, and they'll be fine as he continues
to get healthy and they continue to grow. This is
only what second and a one and a half year starting, No.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
But he's been in the league longer than that. And
and that's the thing is like the difference. And I'm
not saying he's gonna be Aaron Rodgers where he had
the best court, touchdown the interception race yet so that
this but he this is his fourth year and and
and there should be more progress or growth, not to
just throw the football up for grabs or whatever. Like

(14:46):
there's gotta be like and I'm not I agree that
you see it.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
There's a lot to light. Yeah, there's a lot. You
ain't want to say. Love you like, I'm not into
the love that quickly. You know.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
It's a little for me. Yeah, we know.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
But the uh, it's just worrisome the interception. That many interceptions,
because you already talked about what we've got.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
You got ten and fifteen to ten right now, yep,
but that could be a if you keep on this,
that's twenty Yeah, like we know Jameis wins. Okay, we
just talked about Jamis with at thirty, which is ridiculous.
But if he were to keep this pace up, he
would have twenty intercept. That's not good enough. No, that's
not and I don't I don't think that's what I said.
That's a fair look. That's I think he knows. I
think he's going home like bro. I can't do that.

(15:29):
But again, I just listen, man, when you get one
of those ones, man, you gotta lock it in. I mean,
Dallas has never been confident that Dak is one of
those ones. But they paid him because they just like
vollued about Dak forever. And I never bought into That's
what I'm saying most I never bought into him.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Those people didn't.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
They thought he was a fine court right like he
played the league ten, twelve, fifteen years perfectly fine. He's
better than they get you to where they need him more.
In Love is not one of those. I think he's
the opposite. I think Jordan Love will win. He already
has been. I think he'll continue to be able to
win you games. He's gonna win some big games in Lambeau,
big game for the Packers. I think they got a
good one, and I hate it, you know, because he's

(16:07):
gonna be competing with Jared Goffer, whoever the Lions quarterback
is in five years, you know, for the next decade,
Like they're gonna have to deal with Jordan Love and
that Packer team. Just when you thought, man, the Lions
can finally own the division for a little while, here
comes Jordan Love, making them a legitimate team. I mean,
if they win yesterday, they're sitting at seven and two,
top of the division, and we're like, here they go again,
which they very well still could be if throughout the

(16:29):
rest of this season.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
So he's a turnover. He has turnovers.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
But I think he's the perfect hybrid of Brett and
Aaron Rodgers kind of what you want, take a little
risk and needs you to make some gambleish plays, some
the peak Patrick Mahomes type plays where it's like no, no.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
No, no, no, yes yes yes, yes yes, but.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
Also be talented, be accurate like Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
I think we see even we see with Patrick Mahomes
like he wasn't He wasn't doing that early on in
his career and it's of late with the interceptions and
they're gonna happen. I'm not saying you're not gonna have
You're not gonna have forty two touchdowns and four interceptions
like Aaron Rodgers would do. Like those are like crazy numbers.
Even Tom Brady had interceptions or nine or eight or whatever.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
But ten early nine.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Yeah, you know what I mean, Like like you got
you got a chance to have twenty this year and
if going forward, you just want them to make better decisions.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
That's all I think. I think he will.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
I want to throw you as ten and seven games
because remember he missed a cop. He missed two games,
so that that's even a higher number.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Jameis Winston somewhere smiling, like come on, come on, come on,
you almost there, Come on now when we play as
a team thirty on this thirty for thirty James Winston,
The Good and the Bad, starring Jameis Winston.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Let's get here, Rob, I want to bring you in
on Joe l embiid and and What's happened in Philadelphia
because there's a storyline here that's not good and the
NBA is going to have to address it, I guess
at some point.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Yeah, and I get it. And let me tell you, you.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Know, they questioned whether or not he wants to play
or not, you know, because he's already kind of put
out there that he doesn't. He just want to play
back to back games and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
So there's that part.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
But then he got into an altercation with a reporter,
a guy we've had on this show up many times. Yeah,
and a guy who's a he's been around, you know,
and it's not like some guy out of nowhere and
some guy who's flying off the hand. This is like
the guy who's there all the time for them.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
So I think that's part of the problem. To go ahead, Rogie. Sure.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
So, as you guys mentioned, the frustrations have been boiling
over for Embiid basically for months now, because you know,
he was taking a lot of heating the Olympic for
not playing for France. He was taking a lot of
heat here in America because he was gimpy when he
was out there and the team was clearly better when
he wasn't playing and ad wasn't playing instead. Well, flash
forward his training camp and even though he was not

(19:14):
on the injury report at all during preseason, the team
declared preemptively that he would miss the first few weeks
of the season and he would not be playing back
to backs this season as part of a ramp up
slash load management plan. So he's been kind of ornery
since then. Well, things boiled over on Thursday, actually is

(19:34):
when this column came out by Marcus. As part of
it reads, here's the quote. Embiide consistently points to the
birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point
in his basketball career. He often says that he wants
to be great to leave a legacy for the boy,
named after his little brother, who tragically died in an

(19:54):
automobile accident when Embiid was in his first year as
a seventy six er. Well, in order to be great
at your job, you first have to show up for work.
That quote did not go over well with the Embiid
and as you guys mentioned, when Embiid saw him in
the locker room on Saturday ran up on him.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
They had some words.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
It was first reported that Embiid punched him, ended up
being a hard shove with one hand. People were separated
and be had to have security come and escort him
out of the locker room. The security, at one point
of calling multiple reports, tried to say, hey, would you
please not report this as an incident. Obviously that could
not be done and it had a good public and

(20:40):
we'll see what happens because the league is currently investigating
the situation.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Well, I'm gonna say this as a reporter and a
guy who's been doing it for almost forty years, and
I've been in every locker room, every situation as a
columnist in Detroit and New York and I had to
write those columns and whatnot. A player can never put
his hand on a reporter. It's just I don't care
what you don't like or you want to have a conversation.

(21:04):
I've had people scream on me and all that kind
of stuff, and I'm fine with that because I'll show
up and I'll be in the locker room in the
clubhouse to deal with that.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
If I'm gonna put my name on it and I'm
gonna write about somebody and say they're yay, or nay
or whatever it may be. You got to stand up
to that. But physical altercations can never be accepted. And
the NBA will have to suspend him for going physical
because you put a lot of people in jeopardy and
it's just not a good look for the league. Even

(21:36):
if you don't like And I can understand whenever you
want to mention somebody in somebody's life, especially someone who's passed,
that's a tough pill to swallow or have to relive
or And maybe he could have still made the point
without going that route. So I'm not saying that that
was the best way that Marcus could have written that

(22:00):
column or whatnot.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
But I still will stand by Marcus.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
That embiid can say, hey, I want to have a
conversation with you, I don't appreciate it. I once had
an incident with Lou Panella when he was the manager
of the Reds where he came out of his office screaming,
calling me every name in a book in front of
everybody in the clubhouse. You know, but he didn't touch me,
you know what I'm saying. And I think there's a

(22:25):
conversation to be had if you're not happy with something,
but never, never ever physical.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
So I echoed the sentiments of never physical. But I'll
say this, I think and and Beid said this, he
said the next time, you know, I'm willing to take
whatever consequence comes with it. And I think two things
can be true and be should never absolutely should never
touch a reporter. It's not necessary, it's not worth it.

(22:53):
But on the flip side, I think sometimes you as
an individual feel like it's worth it. And like if
you know, like if a throws a beer at you,
somebody could say, well, you know, it's come on, it's
just not a fan. It's not worth you the player.
That player may feel like it was worth going in
there smacking a fan.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
And I'm not saying shit, I can't get with that right.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
But listen, I'm not saying you, but everybody has a
thing in their life where they go, nah, it's worth it.
And when he put his brother in there with his
child to deceased brother, and I think it's I think
Marcus caught the brunt of everything. I think Embid is
upset with himself and his body for giving out on him,

(23:31):
that he's always in this injury prone situation. I think
Embid is mad at the fans because he seems like
I've given you all your turning on me. I think
Embiid is mad with the media for saying these things
about him, but he's like, yo, I give my all.
I play out, I played through injuries. I almost got
my face broken twice, Like what more do you want
from me? And Marcus was that final straw on that
Campbell's back that broke it and he shouldn't attack him.

(23:52):
But I think in Embiid's mind, I'll pay the fine
one hundred thousand dollars or two games suspension, whatever a
point it's that you're not gonna talk about my deceased brother.
I'm not saying he should, but I'm saying I think
every human has a thing that they go I'm willing
to pay the fine, the thing suspension for this, and
we all have.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
It, you know, whatever it may be. I don't I
would never be physical. I'm just telling you, no matter
what you said to me, really, I'm dead serious because
I don't think that like like, I've seen guys lose
their jobs doing baseball play by player physical altercation. They
both lost their jobs and their careers from or at

(24:33):
least hurt themselves and being physical. So I do understand
why there's a breaking point and you might have that
conversation or you might I'm never gonna go and attack
you and come over the table live on YouTube or
whatever can say this. I'm just telling you I wouldn't
do that.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
But what about the example I gave of, Like you know,
and it's not apples to apples because we're talking about
in b situations. But I'm saying, like, you know, if
you're Rob Parker is run our test at the time,
this before he was meta and you already in the
heated thing and you about it. I'm trying to be better.
Let me go lay down and I'm trying to be better.
I'm trying and a beer comes at you. Are you
that cool? So you're just that individual?

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Because what people never liked the malice at the palace.
What people don't understand when you throw a chair into
the crowd, What if you had a four year old
boy in the head, Like like, I'm dead serious, right,
like you can never ever cross that barrier no matter what.
I'm dead serious. And I'm talking about now when the

(25:35):
fan came down on the floor.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
And here he first. Yeah, but but that. But but now.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
You're inmin you're in my you don't climb up into
do you see what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
What you're saying, I just like to protect yourself.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Now someone's in the court, running towards running towards me,
is what I'm saying. Okay, that's a that's something that's
human nature to want to protect yourself, not to go
up and incite or or attack someone who's in there,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Like in another domain, I think I completely get what
you say.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
I think most people would be with you, But I
do just think there's a certain point when he kind
of crosses the line for people that they have And
so him already going through it self inflicted, his body's
giving out all these things. The team's playing bad. I
think they've only won one game. You feel like you're
responsible for it. And then you got this guy who
he mentioned. He said, he said, you're always doing this,
so if you don't have a history of maybe them
going at it. And then you mentioned my deceased brother

(26:35):
and you mentioned my child. I just can I see
that happening. Not the right thing to do. Philadelphia has
to suspend him for whatever it is. A game or two.
The NBA has to come down and find him and
suspend him because you can't set this president up. Hey,
you don't like what a guy said about you in
an article, or then you go get the personal round.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
And then you go and that's exactly what happens.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Is you gotta be careful with this because if he
gets away with it, you will going to open up
a flood.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Wilson and Draymond looking like yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Yeah, yeah, and even and even when you think about it,
just be honest and think about it.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
And I've done it in the very.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Seldom and forty years of doing this, have I seen
people get physical with a writer?

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Do you see what I'm saying. You might scream on.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Them, threaten them, you can throw all that kind of stuff,
but physically, like once, that's that's crossing the boy.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
What was the guy me and Robins talking about this?

Speaker 4 (27:30):
This was the announcer I forgot his name, big time
baseball announcer who Deion Sanders threw the whole big.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Water cooler on Tim, the late Tim McCarry.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Yeah, the car was like real classy Dion when he
dumped the water cool But.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Dion didn't hit him over the head with the water
cool I don't know, would you rather get would you
rather get pushed? One time?

Speaker 4 (27:48):
I'm trying to do my job. I'm talking about this
was not in celebrat celebration, but.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
I'm talking about banging his head, like taking a cooler
and hitting them all.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Deon, Was't that crazy? Is what I'm trying to say.
