Knicks at Madison Square Garden. It was the third quarter

to twenty five in that third quarter and the Knicks
win by three wimby well impress of forty two points
eighteen rebounds. E. From and four assists okay forty two
eighteen and four Miles Bridges Man Bridges for the Knicks

be on Broadway the Big Show Christmas right, and Bridges

This is the problem that I'm having right now, and

Wemby is like no one we've seen in the NBA.
He doesn't take advantage of it, especially early in games.

He's a young player who grew up playing overseas, playing
in Paris. Been a pro for a very long time
since he was an early teenager. The problem I'm having,
I'm watching this game. At the beginning of the game,
Wemby's won for seven. He missed six or seven threes,

and the one shot he made was in the paint.
He missed too, he missed a mid range jumper and
the other were threes, and the one shot he made
was in the paint. And I'm talking about He's shooting
thirty five foot three pointers. And in order for the
Spurs to get better and become a more dominant team,

the closer Wenby is to the basket, the better the
team will be. I don't need my seven to three
center taking sixteen to three pointers.

You already know Larry Brown has he been coaching Wemby
would have a heart attack, am I right?

But this is the problem. It's just he comes down
and he lets it fly.

No one can can test his shot right like you
can jump out the it doesn't matter. So they're wide
open threes. You always be wide open at seven to three,
whether a defender was on you. You can get that
shot any time you want. But is that the shot
that will help your team, especially early in the game. Now,

I'm a student of the game of basketball. I love it,
I played it, I coach it now. And so when
I see Wimby, who clearly has an advantage on anyone
he had, case in point, early in that basketball game today,
Wimby had the ball in the post and Jalen Bronson

was guarding him. Oh no, excuse me, it was Josh Hart.
Josh Josh Hart was guarding him, and he kicked the
ball out to a three point shot.

Right to me.

I'm like, oh no, that's no, no, no, I'm calling
time out after the next dead ball. What I'm calling timeout.
That's not the type of basketball we need to be playing,
because what you're doing is you're letting the defense off
the hook. You're not making them stress about how they're
going to stop you. They don't care if you're shooting

twenty eight footers, thirty five footers, thirty foot jump shots, threes,
they'll give you.

If you shoot sixteen threes and you make six, they won.
And I don't understand why Chris Paul is one of
the greatest screening role point guards in the history of
the NBA. He's made a lot of big men a

lot of money. And so when he does a screening
roll with Wimby, Wimby doesn't roll to the rim. He
screens and it's called a pick and pop. He pops
out to the three point line. I don't need that.

I don't need you to do that. I need you
to dive to the middle of the rim because I
can throw it up and no one is going to
be able to get it. And if both defenders go
with you, then me, the actual three point shooter, will
have a wide open three point shot. If I miss,
You're there to clean it up, get the rebound and
put it back.

saying is all logical. But I don't believe that he's
going to change what he's been doing. And the European
style of big guys playing out at the perimeter and

But anyway, my point is he came into the league
too early.

Larry Brown refused to allow him to play that style
of basketball, you know what I mean, Like like, yes,
had he come in the league ten or twelve years later,
he'd be doing what all these guys are doing. But anyway,
my point is with Wimby, Yeah, forty two tonight, forty
two today, forty two eighteen, it.

Has sixty literally right, and they had sixty and probably
could do it on a regular basis.

But that's what I'm talking about, Like if you want
to talk about all time great and putting pressure on defenses,
so you're for sixty on Christmas, they win this.

Game, right, So you're talking about like like Will, like
he should be the way the way Will dominated when
he had that advantage and they had they had to
change the rules.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yes, that's the only way Wimby is going to be
that guy.

He's got to make people go, well, wait a minute,
we got to do we gotta do something that right,

close to the rim, you get he's out of place
to get rebounds because he spends a lot of time

us that swag, and then you had Kobe had that mentality.
Then you got Lebron, who's a mixture between Lebron and Magic.

They were just special. Wimby is going out there putting
himself in the same box, which has resulted into like
twenty five percent.

Less NBA viewership.

He just going in there, going down, jacking up threes,
and whether he make them or not, I just consider
those bad shots because I just cringe. Even when he
make it, it's still a bad shot to me. I
just cringe when he shoots like that, and there developed
him that way because.

it's fragile, But Ralph Sampson, I think it's you know,
similar in size and wait and everything else. And Wendy's

got to start playing down low. You have to get
stronger otherwise it's not gonna last.

defeat offense. And by him being so far from the
room taking difficult shots, he's not getting it that he

When it comes to Victor Wembayama. The comparison is very simple. Okay,
he reminds me of Luel Cinder right at a Power
Memorial UCLA. But you and I both know what made

lu Al Cinder going on to be Kareem Abdul Jabbar distinctive.
How we got the six championships, how he got the
six MVPs. He had an unstoppable move, something that nobody.

Could could talk, nobody could stop Kareem or block that shot.

Nobody And that's the com and that's what Victor Rembam
is missing hook line and center out there on the
three point line. I think they're using him, so that's
it's not going to be successful in playoff times. That's
not what got Kim Duncan those five championships. Tim Duncan
on the block with that bank shot, okay, and using
his side and his strength is what made him distinctive

and what made the Spurs dynasty unique. So with Victor
winbin Yama, it's nice, it's cute analytics have him out
there shooting all those type of threes, But if he
wants to be a generational and an all time great player,
he's gonna have to use his unique side and get
down on that block and be a little bit more balanced.
Here's I think the secret. They're a little bit scared
he's a little bit of a bubble boy. They don't
want him to get hurt, so he's gonna have to

have the durability in order to be able to play
a more balanced game, to get the championships, to be

since he was an early teenager. The problem I'm having,
I'm watching this game. At the beginning of the game,
Wemby's won for seven. He missed six or seven threes,

and the one shot he made was in the paint.
He missed too, he missed a mid range jumper and
the other were threes, and the one shot he made
was in the paint. And I'm talking about He's shooting
thirty five foot three pointers. And in order for the
Spurs to get better and become a more dominant team,

the closer Wenby is to the basket, the better the
team will be. I don't need my seven to three
center taking sixteen to three pointers.

You already know Larry Brown has he been coaching Wemby
would have a heart attack, am I right?

I see Wimby, who clearly has an advantage on anyone
he had, case in point, early in that basketball game today,
Wimby had the ball in the post and Jalen Bronson

was guarding him. Oh no, excuse me, it was Josh Hart.
Josh Josh Hart was guarding him, and he kicked the
ball out to a three point shot.

time out after the next dead ball. What I'm calling timeout.
That's not the type of basketball we need to be playing,
because what you're doing is you're letting the defense off
the hook. You're not making them stress about how they're
going to stop you. They don't care if you're shooting

twenty eight footers, thirty five footers, thirty foot jump shots, threes,
they'll give you.

If you shoot sixteen threes and you make six, they won.
And I don't understand why Chris Paul is one of
the greatest screening role point guards in the history of
the NBA. He's made a lot of big men a

lot of money. And so when he does a screening
roll with Wimby, Wimby doesn't roll to the rim. He
screens and it's called a pick and pop. He pops
out to the three point line. I don't need that.

I don't need you to do that. I need you
to dive to the middle of the rim because I
can throw it up and no one is going to
be able to get it. And if both defenders go
with you, then me, the actual three point shooter, will
have a wide open three point shot. If I miss,
You're there to clean it up, get the rebound and
put it back.

saying is all logical. But I don't believe that he's
going to change what he's been doing. And the European
style of big guys playing out at the perimeter and

Larry Brown refused to allow him to play that style

had he come in the league ten or twelve years later,

could do it on a regular basis.

to talk about all time great and putting pressure on defenses,

him as an adult. That is telling me that adult
has not let this incredibly petty thing go from his childhood,

which means he's whack as hell. I don't want anything
to do with the Christmas story.

Jim Carrey rendition, that just to me was last it's
one of his best roles.

The original cartoon with bars of course, and that.

Miss Grit.

That's that's that's cool. But that's a song that doesn't
justify the movie.

You know, most of the movie.

Yes, it's okay, like maybe if I was ten, you know,
that'd be cool. But I'm just saying, like, from all
of these movies here, there's no way I'm touching any
of those.

The Grinch has to go with a ten foot pole
you wouldn't touch.

Let's do this right therefore, okay, right, you got to
decide now since you haven't seen the movie, you chose
your shoes between the two. You have to get rid
of one, Rob, What are you getting rid of the
Grinch or Christmas Story?
